Abstract:
This study analyzes the differences in public perceptions of the quality of radicalism prevention services from the point of view of the level of education. Education has been used to radicalize and deradicalize youth. Governments in conflict-affected countries have an interest in funding measures against violent extremism as part of education programs. After the social conflict in the Poso district, the local government implemented some policies aimed at preventing the emergence of radicalism. The results of the study of 456 respondents from four elements of the population, namely the army, police, government employees, and the general public, showed that the level of education was the difference between people’s perceptions of the quality of radicalism prevention services. Respondents with high school education were able to have a higher average response than those with a college education.

Abstract:
Counter-radicalism is all prevention efforts to build awareness or understanding that radicalism in the form of terror is violence and not related to religious teachings and must be fought together. This research aims to explore conceptually the role of youth-based mosque organization on counter radicalism movement. As for some findings from this research are: first, the core in counter radicalism rests on the function and purpose of the organization. Second, the movement of the organization in counter-radicalisme is divided into three main parts: the guidance and direction, the implementation of various activities of the organization, the control and follow-up of the organization's programs. Third, the role of this organization is more appropriately done in the micro and messo spectrum related the causes of radicalism. The implementation of all efforts requires the active support of stakeholders in society.

Abstract:
The phenomenon of radicalism in Indonesia is still rife, such as the bombing of the church in Surabaya, the shootout with radicalist in Yogyakarta, are some examples of recent events of radicalism. Likewise, the events of radicalism in the world, the radical group ISIS is a group that often carries out acts of radicalism and ISIS propaganda that should be watched out so as not to damage peace in Indonesia. This shows that the importance of efforts to overcome radicalism, namely through the prevention of the development of radicalism. The background of this research is motivated by the importance of preventing radicalism from developing among primary school students through instilling the values of patriotism. The story book "Negeri Hastinapura" was chosen because wayang can be used as an educational tool, because it contains elements of truth, justice, purpose, obedience, loyalty, heroism, spiritual, psychological, philosophical and all aspects of human disposition and its problems (Tofani, 2013). “Negeri Hastinapura” is the country contained in the Mahabharata puppet story. This story book "Negeri Hastinapura" takes place when it is led by Prabu Yudistira, where the country is safe, peaceful, and the community is prosperous, so students can be taught exemplary values and instilling the values of patriotism. The development of the story book "Negeri Hastinapura" was designed using the development research (R&D) method using the subject of primary school students. The story book "Negeri Hastinapura" was tested in primary schools, SDIT Insan Utama, Yogyakarta. The results of the analysis of the value of patriotism showed that the t-test score was 5.350 with Sig. 0,000. This shows that there is a significant increase in the value of students' patriotism between before and after learning using the story book "Negeri Hastinapura".

Radicalism has been a threat to the world civilization and every country has deployed its effort to prevent radicalism especially in the educational sector. Every level of education including elementary school can be designed to prevent radicalism. Given this situation, educators in elementary schools are expected to be able to design and develop the program that are able to prevent students from radicalism understanding. This study was aimed at investigating the efforts of SD (Sekolah Dasar/Elementary School) Putra Kaili Permata Bangsa Palu in preventing radicalism, especially in PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam/Islamic Religious Education) learning. This research was qualitative using a case study approach. Interview and documentation techniques were used to collect the data. To analyse the data, this study applied Cresswell analysis techniques. The findings of this study show that the school has designed and developed program to prevent radicalism. The efforts deployed by the school included: selecting textbooks, developing learning modules and PAI manuals by teachers, and maintaining nationalism-related activities. The strategy was implemented through PAI learning both in the classroom and outside the classroom. In the classroom learning included the objectives, materials, media, methods, and evaluation of learning process. Outside classroom learning covered extracurricular, religious, and nationalism-related activities.

The phenomenon of radicalism has become the talk of the world community, one of which is marked by the entry of transnational ideology into Indonesia, this phenomenon has also penetrated universities. Radicalism is often associated with religion, although theoretically it can be related to social, politic, and other similar issues, but in fact radicalism is more prominent associated with religious issues. This phenomenon is interesting to study by exploring the scientific building of Islamic lecturers through a real question such as what is the construction of Islamic lecturers about radicalism and how do they think that radicalism does not flourish. The aim of this study is to explore the construction of Islamic religious lecturers on radicalism and their opinions so that radicalism does not flourish on campus. Research data collection used in-depth interviews with Islamic religious lecturers in East Java. Data analysis was performed with qualitative narratives and through Forum Group Discussions (FGD). The results of the study can be stated as follows, (1) The construction of Islamic lecturers at universities in East Java in general religious-nationalist (2) religious lecturers think that a strict policy is needed from campus leaders by optimizing the role of Islamic religious lecturers because radicalism is always associated with issues religion, so that radicalism does not flourish on campus.

Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) institutions in the current era are chosen for education destinations for the Muslim community to foster the quality of Islamic education, especially in countering ideas of religious radicalism. In this context, pesantren role in preventing radicalism are considered important to investigate. The present study investigates the education program carried out by pesantren in preventing radicalism. It was conducted at the Miftahul Huda Islamic Boarding School, Citangkolo, Banjar City. It applied qualitative approach using descriptive method. The data were collected using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the pesantren designs and delivers education using several dimensions including intellectual, skills, and character education. These three educational dimensions are implemented in classroom learning using various models, approaches, and learning strategies. For character building, education is supported by hidden curriculum. The curriculum is carried out in student activities according to the rules that is applied at pesantren. In pesantren, Kiai serves as a role model in education to boost all education program to develop santri character. Those education programs are used to prevent santri from radicalism in pesantren.

Abstract:
Some experts believe that students are considered to be a distinctive target for radical groups’ mobilization, especially for those who are enrolled for Rohis activities at schools. This is in line with some survey result revealing that the rampant radicalism among students has increased. Unfortunately, studies on radicalism prevention tend to be more theoretical and focusing more on MA / SMA / SMK students. This study aims to reveal the rationale behind the radicalism prevention which includes some various efforts to prevent radicalism, and the results accomplished from such effort in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) students. This is significantly important because MTs students are in their early adolescence phase that is unstable, imitative, and aggressive which makes them vulnerable for being exposed to radicalism. This study utilizes a qualitative approach. The data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, which were then, analyzed using the interactive models of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana which consisted of condensation, presentation, and verification. This study suggested that radicalism prevention was driven by the deep concern of principals and teachers of Madrasah over the rise of students who are exposed to radicalism. Madrasahs are seen to be seriously giving vaccines to students so that they are immune from the radicalism virus. The vaccine is internalized systemically and continuously involving the process of strengthening nationalism in daily routine and extracurricular activities, strengthening the counter-radicalization through the subject of PAI and PPKn, and developing the Aswaja-NU based curriculum. The vaccine is at a certain level capable of establishing students’ religious moderation values ​​as well as it can strengthen their immunity from the confrontation of the radicalism virus. Student immunity, of course, is not interminable for the conflict between vaccines and viruses is timeless so that Madrasah must always continuously update the types of vaccines and the internalization methods.

Metode yang digunakan berupa sosialisasi dan pembinaan. Pembinaan dan pembinaan dilaksanakan dengan sistem kelas dengan metode diskusi interaktif menggunakan teknik presentasi. Sosialisasi yang diberikan adalah bentuk pencegahan dan penanggulangan faham radikalisme melalui modul yang telah disusun bersama dengan Polres, Kodim, Tokoh Agama dan tokoh masyarakat di Karanganyar. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah adanya kesamaan tekad dari seluruh pelajar sekaranganya yang diwakili oleh masing-masing osis bahwa radikalisme penting untung dikaji lebih jauh lagi. Kemudian bersama-sama seluruh elemn masyarakat untuk memberantas adanya terorisme di wilayah Karangnayar. Dampak dari kegiatan ini adalah dalam rangka pencegahan, pembinaan dan pedampingan tentang faham radikalisme sehingga meningkatnya pemahaman yang benar dan dapat menjauhi gerakan radikal dikalangan pelajar SMA se Kabupaten Karanganyar. Kata Kunci: Pencegahan dan Penanggulangan, Radikalisme, Pelajar SMAABSTRACT The purpose of this community service is to provide the proper perceptivity on the ideology of radicalism and maximized the socialization of the prevention, coaching and mentoring about the ideology of radicalism of high school students in Karanganyar District. The method was socialization and coaching. The coaching was carried out in a class based learning which employed interactive discussion using presentation technique. The given socialization was a form of prevention and treatment to encounter radicalism through a module which was collaboratively constructed by district police office (POLRES), military district commander (KODIM), religious leaders, and community leaders in Karanganyar. The result of this dedication was there is a common determination of all students now represented by each student body that radicalism is important to be further studied. In addition, together with all elements of society to eradicate terrorism in Karangnayar. <p>The current spread of radicalism has attacked all levels of society, especially the younger generation, which if not immediately prevented, will pose a threat for the stability and security in Indonesia, including in Deli Serdang. Kodim 0204/DS is a Teritorial Unit whose one of main duties is to carry out territorial development. Territorial development is carried using Social Communication method, TNI Service and Regional Resistance Development. This study is designed to gain an understanding of the implementation of Social Communication activities in preventing radicalism. This study aims to: first, analyze Social Communication by Kodim 0204/DS in Deli Serdang; second, analyze the implementation of social communication by Kodim 0204/DS in preventing radicalism in Deli Serdang. This study employs qualitative methods. The data were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation and triangulation. Data analysis techniques were mostly performed in conjunction with the data collection during field visit. Research sites is in Deli Serdang. This study finds that: 1) Social Communication can theoretically be implemented according to existing territorial development program even though its implementation is not optimal and needs to be improved on aspects that support communication processes, i.e. sources, messages, media, recipients, influences, feedback and environment; 2) The implementation of Social Communication is supported by means, ways and ends, namely to prevent radicalism in Deli Serdang. Social Communication by Kodim 0204/DS in preventing radicalism can be implemented but needs to be improved. This study recommends the optimization of elements that support communication process.</p><p><strong>Keywords:</strong> Implementation, social communication, prevention, radicalism</p>

Abstract:
Deradicalization is guided by counterterrorism preventive measures as a strategic effort in neutralizing ideas that are considered radical and can be dangerous through a non-violent approach. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing radicalism in the younger generation, especially in higher education through questionnaires and interviews with related parties. Terrorism is currently a serious problem and endangers national security, so prevention efforts are needed. The target of the spread of radical terrorism that has infiltrated the university environment needs to be prevented and become a common concern, especially university leaders. The development of the radical flow of terrorism in the university environment can endanger the unity of the state because universities are a place for educational candidates for intellectuals, entrepreneurs, bureaucrats, technocrats and professionals. The aim of radicals is to bring about changes to the roots and for this they always use violent methods and oppose the existing structure of society. So that joint efforts are needed in preventing and overcoming the spread of radicalism, transformation of terrorism in universities. Efforts to prevent the various factors that cause radicalism are carried out with policies contained in universities and local governments through strengthening state minded in action among youth.

Abstract:
Several Islamic higher education institutions have allegedly been exposed to radicalism, which is seen from the emergence of intolerant understanding, extremism, and involvement in terrorism. This study explores the efforts to prevent radicalism by implementing academic policies at State Islamic Higher Education based on experiences at IAIN Bukittinggi, UIN Jakarta, UIN Malang, and IAIN Tulungagung. It employed an ethnographic research method that collected the data through in-depth interviews, extensive observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results show that efforts to prevent radicalism were evidenced in the application of general policies of religious moderation in the curriculum and various campus community activities, introduction of campus mottos, tightening of students' selection system, orientation to campus life for new students, strengthening the academic atmosphere, and strengthening students' hard skills, abilities, and soft skills. These show that Islamic higher institutions are actively invloved in the eradication of religious radicalization.

Violence and radicalism in the name of religion which leads to terrorism has emerged as a complicated issue in contemporary Indonesian Islam. The emergence and development of radicalism were actually caused by a lack of understanding of the Qur’an. The verse of the Qur’an has been interpreted textually and partially. This, by far, are happened in Paciran Lamongan in the recent years. Reconstruction of understanding verse of the Qur’an on vulnerable communities that is easily affected by movement of Islamic radicalism has been properly carried out, so that it can give a new atmosphere, and it can be the prevention to face the violence movement. Deradicalization of understanding to the Qur’an is a solution-based action to prevent violence and radicalism in the name of religion.

Abstract:
<p>Radicalism has become a real threat faced by all countries in the world, including Indonesia. This condition occurs because radicalism is the origin ideology of terrorism which has been confirmed as an extraordinary crime for the world. So, the Indonesian government needs to pay special attention to counter the radicalism issue which is now growing rapidly in Indonesia. This article was written to analyze the Government, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) roles in countering radicalism issues in Indonesia through good governance concept. This article is written based on the result of phenomenology research used literature study approach of various literature that is relevant to the research topic. Based on the study, the results show that the countering process of radicalism issues conducted by the government of the Republic of Indonesia has not been well managed, because there is no strong legal basis concerning radicalism in Indonesia. Additionally, the weak synergy between the TNI and the Polri, which is tasked to countering radicalism issues, is also become an obstacle for eradicate radicalism issues in Indonesia. Therefore, optimizing the role of the Government, TNI, and Polri are needed by prevention, mapping, detention, and contra radicalism actions. On the other hand, those three parties must strengthen their synergy and cooperative in performed their roles in maintaining public security and national security from the dangers of radicalism.</p>

This study aims to determine efforts to prevent radicalism in schools through strengthening character in social science learning (IPS) and implementing strengthening character education (PPK) in extracurricular activities at MTS NU TBS Kudus. The results showed that schools were trying to prevent the development of radicalism. Prevention of radicalism in schools is carried out through the implementation of strengthening character education (PPK) through three activities, namely intracular activities, co-curricular activities, and extracurricular activities. Implementation in intraculricular activities focuses on social studies learning which has material and dimensions related to everyday life. Implementation in extracurricular activities focuses on implementing the vision and mission through school culture and school activities. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis of efforts to prevent radicalism through the implementation of character strengthening show that the implementation of PPK has been carried out and has had an impact, but in its implementation there are still a number of obstacles, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research aims to identify the background of radical thinking and behaviour among students at an Islamic Boarding College. We analysed through a qualitative descriptive approach by interviewing several key persons from the campus management, and some students indicated to be exposed to radicalism and radical behaviour. The Islamic struggle movement is synonymous with intellectual movement. Thus, radical movements and behaviour must be prevented as early as possible. The actors are the implementers at universities, starting from the study programs, departments, faculties, and university-wide levels. Several recommendations and suggestions were produced through this research to reduce radical understanding in the university environment with several humanist and psychological approaches. One of them is by deepening the Religion and Islamic compulsory courses such as Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah courses, regular recitations at the faculty and university level to deepen understanding of Islam, as well as educational materials for defending the country and love for the homeland, as well as citizenship materials and others relevant to the mindset of today's students.

Islamic boarding school (pesantren) is the oldest Islamic educational institution in Indonesia. Pesantren is recognized as one of the institutions that can encourage the realization of multiculturalism amongst Muslims. However, recently pesantren has been alleged to be one of the centers for the spread of religious radicalism. This study is aimed at analyzing multicultural education in salaf (traditional) pesantren, that is appropriate and be able to prevent the growth and development of religious radicalism in Indonesia. The study is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach involving four salaf pesantrens in Java; namely Al-Qadir Pesantren of Sleman Yogyakarta, Dar al-Tauhid of Cirebon, Roudlatuth Thalibin of Rembang, and Tebuireng of Jombang. The research data were collected by observation, interviews, documentation, and focus-group discussions (FGD). Data were analyzed using an interactive technique. Findings showed that the forms of multicultural education at the four salaf pesantrens generally have similarities in the application of multiculturalism core values. However, each pesantren has its own specific peculiarities. The various cultures built up by the four caregivers of the salaf pesantrens have been effective to prevent the growth and development of religious radicalism at the pesantren, particularly, and in the society, more generally.

Early detection of radicalism, extremism, and terrorism is still not optimal. The reason is because of the limitations of the task force and prevention forums in involving the community. Several studies show that community participation is needed in the early detection. Strengthening community participation will be better by empowering organizations that are close to the community such as RT and RW. Therefore, this paper discusses the role of RT and RW in the early detection of radicalism, extremism, and terrorism including identifying the efforts that need to be made to optimize them. The method applied in this paper is library research with data and information sources from several books, journals, documentation, and legal products. The author analyzes data and information by reducing data, classifying data and processing data qualitatively. The results of the study show that RT and RW have an important role in the early detection of radicalism, extremism, and terrorism. Optimizing the empowerment of RT and RW in increasing early detection of radicalism, extremism, and terrorism is much more effective and efficient than prevention forums or task forces which are all temporary. Optimization of empowerment is achieved by improving the quality of several factors which include facilities and infrastructure, budget, human resources, and more productive work mechanisms.

Darul Falah was quite serious in printing his santri into moderate Muslims. This preventive action can be done through various efforts such as increasing community resilience. Second, build the image of the campus as a centre for Islamic studies and Bugis culture. Third, to provide room for discussion, both through seminars and face-to-face, especially with students exposed to radicalism. Fourth, make a study of Religious Deradicalization, which aims to prevent radicalism and strengthen religious moderation. When viewed from the perspective of maqaṣhid shari'ah, some of these efforts in preventing radicalism in several PTKIN in South Sulawesi are very important to determine as the main factor in efforts to deradicalize religion and also religious moderation. Then this article is also intended to address the widespread radicalism, especially in Indonesia, according to the paradigm of history. The research method that the author uses is a qualitative method with content analysis through a literature review. The author takes sources from 2 books, 12 journal articles, and 2 news stories from BBC and CNN. In this article, we will discuss the history of radicalism, what the historical paradigm of religious radicalism, how the radicalism impact of religion on people's lives every day, and how prevention is based on the paradigm of history. In this article, the author uses a qualitative approach in the form of content analysis, literature review of 12 journals, 2 books, and 2 news sources from BBC Indonesia and CNN Indonesia. The results of this study are that the authors find that in the 21st century, society is amid unrest due to radicalism. The action is not only in Indonesia but also in several other countries, which is disturbing the peace between religious communities. From this research, the author recommends that this article can be used as a reference in discussing the handling of religious radicalism in social life. The limitation of this research is the lack of data that the author can get due to technical constraints such as limited internet access and social restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This study aims to find out how the role of local journalists in NTT is to perform their functions in preventing radicalism and supporting religious harmony in NTT Province. What obstacles they face in the field, as well as what kind of news construction they have to do in carrying out their duties. Mass media, terrorism and radicalism are theories that continue to develop in line with how the discourse of radicalism is inseparable from the role of mass media coverage in encouraging or inhibiting radicalization and existing acts of violence. The position of the media, both at the local, national and global levels, becomes very important in carrying out counter narration when there are efforts by parties who want to promote the idea of radicalism and terrorism in a region. ABSTRACTThe community development activity (PPM) aims to build an inclusive society, increase tolerance and prevent radicalism in Subdistrict of Tempuran, Regency of Karawang. Achieving this goal, we introduce democratic values based on Western political philosophy and Islam and explore participants' understanding of radicalism. We engage participants to observe local values in the community at the location of the activity and then explore this relevance to Islamic values. The methods of PPM use the Problem Based Learning and Community Based Research (CBR) in the formulation of an idea that suits the needs of the community in solving the problem. The PPM concluded that there is an increase in scores of knowledge before and after training by 21%, which is the most participants understood Islamic democracy as an inherent part of social life. There is also an increase in participants' awareness in preventing radicalism by 28%, which is the most participants realize the importance of preventing radicalism through the development of an inclusive life, the spirit of multiculturalism and tolerance in social plurality. Thus, the PPM concludes that there is an increase in participants' knowledge and awareness in the implementation of Islamic democratic values and the prevention of radicalism through socialization and training. Kami mengajak kepada peserta untuk mengamati nilai-nilai lokal (local wisdom) dalam masyarakat di lokasi kegiatan kemudian menggali relevansinya dengan nilai-nilai islamik. Kegiatan PPM ini menggunakan metode Problem Based Learning dan Community Based Research (CBR) di dalam perumusan suatu gagasan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat di dalam memecahkan permasalahannya. PPM ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan skor pengetahuan sebelum dan setelah pelatihan sebesar 21%, dimana sebagian besar peserta memahami demokrasi islamik sebagai bagian yang inheren dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Terdapat pula peningkatan kesadaran peserta di dalam pencegahan radikalisasi sebesar 28%, dimana sebagian besar peserta menyadari pentingnya pencegahan radikalisasi melalui pembangunan kehidupan yang inklusif, semangat multikulturalisme dan toleransi terhadap pluralitas sosial. Dengan demikian, PPM ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran peserta dalam pengamalan nilai-nilai demokrasi islamik dan pencegahan radikalisasi melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan. This paper aims to describe the Muhammadiyah values contained in Arabic Islamic texts in the teaching of Qira'ah courses in STKIP Muhammadiyah Bone. The approach used in this paper is the analysis of two texts from a book entitled al-Arabiyah al-Muyassarah by Mustafa Muhammad Nuri using an analytical blade from Dell Hyme's theory. If associated with the conditions in Indonesia, the contents of the two texts make a significant contribution to the internalization of Muhammadiyah values namely Idil Platform, Normative Foundation and Platform of Embodiment. Abstract:
Polemics of radicalism continue to emerge in early childhood education and radical movements have explored and involved in early childhood. Strengthening moderate Islam in early childhood must be carried out from an early age through educational arrangements that are programmed and adapted to the stages of child development characteristics so that children have moderate values and prevent children from having radical ideas later in life. The purpose of this study was to determine the strength of religious moderation in early childhood as an effort to prevent radicalism during the Covid-19 pandemic. The golden period of early childhood is the most appropriate time to implement the values of religious moderation so that later a strong Islamic foundation is formed in children so that they can ward off radicalism in the future. During this pandemic, learning activities, especially to strengthen understanding of religious moderation in schools, are carried out online or blended learning which is a combination of face-to-face and the use of information technology in implementation. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Mile and Huberman model, namely data reduction, display, and verification. The results of this study indicate that strengthening religious moderation in early childhood is an effort to prevent radicalism during the Covid-19 pandemic. The strengthening of religious moderation consists of four components, namely instilling national commitment, tolerance, introducing and preserving local culture, and anti-violence. The strengthening of religious moderation is given so that children have moderate values and are a form of prevention against radicalism in the future.

Abstract:
This research aims to explore counter terrorism: a case study of radical religious group. This research used the normative juridical approach. Data collection techniques using data reduction, data presentation, triangulation and conclusion. The results showed that the group of religious radicalism in the jurisdiction of Bekasi police pioneered by asatidz or Imam FPI called for promotion of hatred toward religious groups. The media used in the spread of religious radicals in Bekasi Police Jurisdiction is through social media with the modus operandi of instilling the idea that Islamic law is the most correct. In recruiting, there are several methods used, including the cadre, mentoring, and mastery of places of worship with the main target is the younger age groups. Flourishing of religious radicalism caused by several factors, among others. Bekasi location of the region as a buffer capital city of Jakarta, the lack of supervision of the police, the involvement of religious leaders, the low education level of the community, as well as the economic conditions of the needy. Policing is done by Bekasi policecurrently done with prevention efforts, either through counseling activities, socialization, door to door system, coordination with Tomas, Toda, or Toga, as well as joint meetings FKUB about the dangers of radicalism and terrorism. The effort is still deemed less effective, so the Bekasi police in the future in the fight against terrorism must be put forward Counter Radicalization and Deradicalisation to strengthen four pillars of nationhood.Keywords: Radicalism; Terrorism; Religion.

Since Indonesia as a country has a high vulnerability to religious radicalism, it is important to conduct studies on religious radicalism both nationally and regionally. Knowing the level and potential of religious radicalism is a step for the creation of a comprehensive mechanism of prevention and treatment of religious radicalism. The position of Banyumas as an inter-provincial gateway becomes very strategic for radical groups to spread their ideology and mindset. The ease of inter-regional access underpinned by good supporting facilities and infrastructure is an important point of consideration for radical groups to spread their ideas. Interviews were conducted to obtain data from stakeholders who handle radicalism. the findings were elaborated with supporting literature to provide a more comprehensive result. The results of this study indicate that Banyumas has great potential for the growth and development of religious radicalism, and Banyumas people have high vulnerability to get exposed and influenced by the idea of radicalism caused by factors of religious behavior, geography, culture, technology and information development, and demography. However, so far the level of religious radicalism in Banyumas is still low because there is good cooperation between the stakeholders and the community.</span> </p><p class="ABSTRAK"><span lang="IN">Radikalisme agama merupakan pemicu bagi terjadinya terorisme yang merupakan kejahatan luar biasa dan menjadi musuh semua negara yang ada di dunia. Indonesia sebagai negara yang memiliki kerawanan yang tinggi terhadap radikalisme agama penting untuk melakukan kajian-kajian mengenai radikalisme agama baik dalam tingkat nasional maupun regional. Mengetahui tingkat dan potensi radikalisme agama merupakan langkah bagi terciptanya mekanisme pencegahan dan penanganan radikalisme agama yang komprehensif. Posisi Banyumas sebagai pintu gerbang antar provinsi menjadi sangat strategis bagi kelompok-kelompok radikal untuk menyebarkan ideologi dan pola pikirnya. Kemudahan akses antar wilayah yang ditopang dengan kondisi sarana dan prasarana pendukung wilayah yang baik menjadi poin penting pertimbangan bagi kelompok radikal untuk menyebarkan pahamnya. Wawancara dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data dari stakeholder yang menangani radikalisme. Hasil temuan lalu dielabrasi dengan literatur pendukung untuk memberikan gambaran yang lebih komprehensif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Banyumas memiliki potensi besar bagi tumbuh dan berkembangnya radikalisme agama, dan masyarakat Banyumas memiliki kerentanan yang tinggi terpapar dan terpengaruh paham radikalisme yang disebabkan karena faktor perilaku beragama, faktor geografis, faktor kultural, faktor perkembangan teknologi dan informasi, serta faktor demografi. Namun demikian sejauh ini tingkat radikalisme agama di Banyumas masih termasuk rendah. Promoting moderate Islam in the education sector to prevent radicalism and violent extremism, particularly in Indonesia’s Islamic universities has been considered important. This study demonstrated how values of moderate Islam empower student to prevent radicalism and violent extremism in university. This research is qualitative case study. Eight students and two teachers at a public Islamic university in Central Java, Indonesia were recruited to participate. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and observation. The result of the study shows that the values of tolerance, inclusivity, flexibility, and objectivity in understanding religious texts were internalized to empower students as agents of religious moderation. The presentation of learning materials were adopted from national journals, reputable international journals, websites, and official social media platforms for moderate Muslim intellectuals. The materials contributed significantly to the prevention of hate speech and hoaxes.

There is no sexiest word besides Radicalism. Its existence often makes people stricken with fear. Even those who guessed that the end of radicalism was a brutal act of terrorism. The end of the religion is related. Various types of prevention are carried out by various official governmental and private institutions. The aim is none other than so that the ideas that lead to acts of terror can be stopped. In understanding the meaning of radicalism, many are confused, because if it is traced, the equivalent of the word radicalism is not in accordance with the meaning. Because the meaning of the radik is root / rooted (meaning deep thinking / philosophizing), while people do too much, they may not necessarily think deeply. Meanwhile, the word ism itself which contains the meaning of a notion, should be distinguished by an act that ends brutally. Herein lies the error, the word used to describe this should be extremism. Because there are always people who overdo it.That the symptoms of radicalism among Muslims in the post-New Order era can be seen as an 'act of identity' carried out in order to respond and answer the crisis of identity they experienced in the midst of dramatic and dramatic changes that occurred in Indonesia in the early phase of transition to democracy. not right if always associated with religion. But it does not mean that in religion there is no action, in any religion there are always people who interpret religion in a textual way, raping the scriptures for their interests. So that short-sightedness leads to brutal action / terror. The Muhammadiyah which is the main guardian of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia will also not agree with various kinds of violence, occupation and deviant acts. It's just that Muhammadiyah suggested that the handling that smelled of Islam be carried out with a persuasive approach. Therefore, if the government insists on repressive actions, new terrorists will emerge. The emergence of radicalism cannot be separated from the long history of this nation, herein lies the ambivalent nature that we must seek and solve together, so that such ideas do not reappear.

Religious traditions become a form of community religiosity. One’s religious attitude can be manifested in religious forms and actions through religious rituals such as prayer, fasting, zakat, pilgrimage, and other rituals such as tahlil, istighasha, and salawat. Public openness to religious traditions will close the space for radicalization. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques, Interviews, documentation and focus group discussion. The findings of this study: first, the salawat council becomes a forum for people who have a spirit of religiosity in carrying out religious traditions. The development of salawat assemblies in the Mataraman region is quite a lot, but there are salawat assemblies having affiliations with FPI and defend against HTI. Second, the salawat council's existence received a response from Gus (young Kyai) who then brought the salawat council as a counterweight to the previous assembly. Its presence becomes a choice for the people in neutralizing radical understanding. As the community's religious universe grows, it needs an assembly that can lead to Islam's concept wasathiyah. Tradisi keagamaan menjadi wujud dari religiusitas masayarakat. Sikap religiusitas seseorang dapat diwujudkan dalam bentuk dan tindakan keagamaan melalui ritual-ritual kegamaan seperti, salat, puasa, zakat, haji, dan ritual lain seperti tahlil, istighasha, dan salawat. Keterbukaan masyarakat pada tradisi agama akan menutup ruang gerak radikalisasi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data, wawancara, dokumentasi dan FGD. Temuan penelitian ini: pertama, majelis salawat menjadi wadah bagi masyarakat yang mimiliki spirit religiusitas dalam menjalankan tradisi keagamaan. Perkembangan majelis salawat di wilayah Mataraman cukup banyak, akan tetapi ada majelis salawat yang memiliki afiliasi dengan FPI dan melakukan pembelaan terhadap HTI. Kedua, keberadaan majelis salawat tersebut mendapat respon dari Gus (kyai muda) yang kemudian memunculkan majelis salawat sebagai penyeimbang majelis sebelumnya. Kehadirannya menjadi pilihan bagi umat dalam menetralisir paham radikal. Seiring meningkatnya semangat keagamaan masyarakat, maka dibutuhkan majelis yang dapat mengarahkan pada konsep Islam wasatiyah.

Radicalism is one of the threats to the millennial generation, including the generation of alpha, namely those who are studying at the level of early childhood education such as Raudhatul Athfal (RA). From the results of the study, it was revealed that radicalism had plagued teachers at Raudhatul Athfal (RA) and had an influence on the radical understanding of alpha generation in early childhood education. This was responded to by the Fatayat NU activist in Cilacap district who became a teacher at Raudhatul Athfal (RA) by making efforts to prevent radical understanding through seven ways. First, assist teachers who are influenced by radical understanding through non-formal discussion activities in a family atmosphere. Second, fortify themselves from the negative influence of radicalism by continuing to increase knowledge and religious insights from the perspective of ahlussunnah wal jamaah. Third, optimizing the implementation of religious education for the alpha generation. Fourth, optimizing the implementation of character education for the alpha generation. Hal itu direspon oleh aktivis Fatayat NU kabupaten Cilacap yang menjadi guru di Raudhatul Athfal (RA) dengan melakukan upaya pencegahan terhadap paham radikal melalui tujuh cara. Pertama, melakukan pendampingan kepada para guru yang terpengaruh paham radikal melalui kegiatan diskusi secara nonformal dalam suasana yang penuh kekeluargaan. Kedua, membentengi diri dari pengaruh negatif radikalisme dengan terus meningkatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan keagamaan dalam perspektif ahlussunnah wal jamaah. This study aims to find out and analyze the position and function of the National Counter Terrorism Agency (Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Terorisme/BNPT). This type of research is normative legal research. The approach used is the legislative approach, conceptual approach and case approach.The results of the study indicate that the BNPT is a non-ministerial state institution under the President and is responsible to the President. In carrying out its duties and functions, BNPT is coordinated with the Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law and Security. The task and function carried out by BNPT is to counter terrorism in Indonesia by using the soft power main approach (prevention). Through a soft power approach BNPT implements two programs, namely deradicalization and counter radicalization. Both of these programs are based on BNPT's view that reducing radicalism does not always have to use a repressive approach as done by the police in general. Law enforcement must be balanced with preventive measures (prevention) by using a pattern of humanitarian approaches so as not to create a sense of revenge and give birth to a new form of violence.

Diversity has existed for a long time. Diversity is not a tool to cause conflict between humans. However, improper multicultural management can lead to conflict. Multicultural awareness is needed for humans with various differences, so that humans can live side by side and respect each other. This study is a normative qualitative through library research. The research is oriented towards discovering the conception of multicultural awareness as the Isyarah of Al-Qur'an. Primary data sources are taken from the Al-Qur'an and secondary data are taken from Tafsir books. This result shows that multicultural awareness in the Al-Qur’an perspective is essentially an attitude of glorifying humans regardless of background differences. A society that has multicultural awareness can be seen from the suitability of its attitude with characteristics and ethics. Multicultural awareness can build wasaṭiyyah attitude. With these characteristics, a person's multicultural awareness will be able to prevent radical-liberal behavior.

Several universities in Indonesia began to impose a ban on wearing the cadar in the campus environment. Campus policy enacted banning the cadar with various arguments, including the ideological and security reasons. The campus environment is suspected by some people to be a nest of radicalism. Consequently, many things that associated with radicalism is experiencing controlling action as the process of prevention. Not only universities, but also some Islamic State colleges began to enact this policy. Moderate Islam to be one of the arguments of the policy enforcement. The blurb brings up a question of religious freedom will be on campus. This paper analyses the policy of cadar banning on campus in the perspective of religious freedom and law in Indonesia. Socio-political context is also important to analysed relations with this policy. Indonesia as a democratic State and the upholding of human rights, including rights in religion should review and be critical of the policy of banning the cadar. Pancasila and the spirit of diversity should be used as reference in fostering the harmony of the nation, including in the campus environment.

Recently, cases of violence due to religious intolerance occurred in areas in Indonesia, including the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Previous research data shows that intolerance has increased in the last five years in Yogyakarta. The problem of intolerance disturbs the nationhood and state. It should be handled as early as possible to prevent it from developing into radicalism, extremism, and terrorism. Such a condition raises the importance of Islamic communication as a basis for religious moderation to prevent intolerance. This study used a qualitative descriptive method based on interviews, observations, and documentation results. This study was conducted to see how the prevention of intolerance through the application of Islamic communication as a basis for developing religious moderation in the Office of the Ministry of Religion of Sleman Regency works. The research data shows that the nine principles of Islamic communication are optimized to maintain religious moderation.

Radical and extremist groups’ actions are totally opposite to the Islamic teachings. In warding off the radical movements and terrorism, an open concept of inclusive religious understandings are needed. This concept is known as religious moderation. This study aims to explore efforts in reducing the massive movement of radicalism and intolerance in the frame of basic religious practices. This qualitative study relies upon the literature research where data reduction, data presentation, and concluding are employed. The results showed that Islamic moderation is reflected in the moderate attitudes. Religious moderation stems from tolerance, peace, and harmony within a multi-religious society. Kelompok radikalisme dan ektrimisme telah melakukan tindakan yang sangat bertentangan dengan ajaran Islam. Oleh karena itu, untuk menangkal gerakan radikal dan terorisme diperlukan sebuah konsep beragama yang bersifat terbuka (inklusif). Konsep beragama yang inklusif ini disebut dengan moderasi beragama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meredam dan meminimalisir masifnya gerakan radikalisme dan intoleransi maka dibutuhkan konsep beragama yang sederhana, tidak kaku dan mudah dipahami oleh masyarakat umum. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat penelitian pustaka. Penulis menggunakan metode analisis data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan moderasi Islam atau moderasi beragama merupakan sikap hidup yang berada di tengah, tidak condong ke kiri, kanan, ke depan dan ke belakang, tetapi berada di tengah dalam melihat dan menyelesaikan sebuah persoalan. Akhirnya, muara dari moderasi beragama yaitu menciptakan suasana yang toleran, damai dan harmonis di tengah kehidupan yang serba multiagama dan multikultural.

Students need assistance and understanding so that they do not easily fall prey to radical movements, including through group counseling activities. In group guidance activities, group activities and dynamics must be realized to discuss various things that are useful for the development and problem solving of individuals (students) who become service participants. Group guidance activity aims to add insight into the knowledge skills, values </em><em></em><em>, and attitudes of group members regarding the prevention of radicalism. This paper used a study of literature method, it is collecting various reading materials and information related to the phenomena and studies discussed. Based on the studies that have been carried out, it can be concluded that through the dynamics of groups that are actively predicted, it can increase the activity and participation of group members (students) in analyzing and understanding Islamic ideas that are </em>rahmatan lilalamin<em>, tolerance, not fanatical towards certain groups, and strengthening nationalism.</em><em></em></p><p><em><br /></em><em></em><em></em></p>

However, there are some people who do not understand Pancasila so that radical movements appear. The purpose of this study is to examine the important role of Pancasila in society and to analyze the importance of understanding Pancasila values ​​in everyday life for the sake of creating tolerance among others. While this research method is a qualitative descriptive research method. The results of this study in this digital era, Indonesian people will understand the importance of Pancasila values ​​as the basis of the state that must be implemented in everyday life. Indonesian people will also have a high sense of tolerance among others and uphold the motto of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Community resilience is an important aspect of da'wah as an effort to prevent radicalism in Indonesia. The importance of community resilience is based on the phenomenon where the community has become the victim of various events that have the nuances of radicalism. Bombings, shootings, stabbings and vandalism events have harmed the community, both individually and collectively. The destruction of public facilities has disrupted social activities and governance. In addition, violent-motivated events have disrupted people's lives because they feel afraid, insecure, and threatened by circumstances that are beyond their capabilities. Therefore, it is necessary to have da'wah through efforts of resilience in the face of acts of violence with a background of radicalism. This study aims to determine da'wah activities through the form of community resilience by taking locations in the Solo Raya area in the face of various radicalism events, forms of community resilience and how steps are taken to prevent the spread of radical ideology through da'wah activities. This study is a qualitative research with a symbolic interactionism approach involving a number of informants who were selected using a purposive sampling method from 4 areas in Solo Raya, namely Surakarta, Sukoharjo, Sragen and Karanganyar. Data was collected through a Focus Group Discussion technique ( FGD). This study found that Da’wah can be utilised as a method to prevent radicalism through strengthening community resilience. The way of prevention focus on anticipating and adapting to the dangers of radicalism through 4 (four) forms; awareness of plurality, synergy between institutions, cultural communication and strategic partnerships.***Ketahanan masyarakat (Community Resiliency) menjadi aspek penting dalam dakwah sebagai upaya pencegahan radikalisme di Indonesia. Pentingnya ketahanan masyarakat didasarkan pada fenomena dimana masyarakat telah menjadi korban berbagai peristiwa yang bernuansa radikalisme. Peristiwa pengeboman, penembakan, penusukan dan perusakan telah merugikan masyarakat baik secara individu maupun komunitas. Hancurnya fasilitas publik telah menggangu kegiatan dan tata laksana sosial. Selain itu, peristiwa bermotif kekerasan telah mengganggu kehidupan masyarakat karena merasa takut, tidak aman, dan terancam oleh keadaan yang berada di luar kemampuan mereka. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan adanya dakwah melalui upaya ketangguhan (resiliency) dalam menghadapi tindakan kekerasan yang berlatarbelakang radikalisme. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kegiatan dakwah melalui bentuk ketahanan masyarakat dengan mengambil lokasi di wilayah Solo Raya dalam menghadapi berbagai peristiwa radikalisme, bentuk ketangguhan masyarakat dan bagaimana langkah yang ditempuh untuk melakukan pencegahan terhadap penyebaran ideologi radikal melalui kegiatan dakwah. Studi ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan interaksionisme simbolik dengan melibatkan sejumlah informan yang dipilih dengan metode sampel bertujuan (purposive sampling) yang berasal dari 4 wilayah di Solo Raya, yaitu Surakarta, Sukoharjo, Sragen dan Karanganyar, dan data diambil melalui teknik Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Studi ini menemukan bahwa dakwah pencegahan radikalisme dapat dilakukan melalui penguatan ketahanan masyarakat yang merupakan proses antisipasi dan adaptasi terhadap bahaya atau bencana radikalisme melalui 4 (empat) bentuk; kesadaran pluralitas, sinergitas antar lembaga, komunikasi budaya dan kemitraan strategis.

Abstract: The emergence of 'ruqyah aswaja' from Nahdliyin was originated from the anxiety of the present of ruqyah sunnah which tends to spread radicalism ideology. It is illustrated in the official website of Nahdatul Ulama on April 30, 2017. Ruqyah is essentially an alternative method in healing various illnesses, however, some groups of Muslims tried to utilize ruqyah for spreading radical ideology. This paper is attempted to reveal the radicalism in the ruqyah organized by QHI by the semiotic approach. It employed Roland Barthes semiotics theory to analyze the data. It focused on the value of radicalism in the ruqyah training video on Youtube uploaded by Nuruddin Al Indunissy's account which affiliated with QHI. There are two issues being discussed in this paper, The first issue is how the markers on “Hati qurani” therapy videos (ruqyah live streaming). Secondly, it deals with how to understand radicalism embedded in “Hati Qurani” therapy videos (ruqyah live training). The findings showed that the markers are in the form of giving an explanation and practice of burning keris (Javanese traditional weapon), a sign in this case of burning the cultural heritage and insulting it is a form of radicalism. The idea of radicalism lies in the intolerance of audio and visual attitudes on Javanese culture. Tulisan ini berupaya untuk mengungkap paham radikalisme yang ada di balik ruqyah yang diselenggarakan oleh QHI dengan pendekatan semiotika. Teori yang digunakan adalah analisis semiotika Roland Barthes. Fokus yang akan dianalisis adalah nilai radikalisme dalam video pelatihan ruqyah di media sosial Youtube yang diunggah oleh akun Nuruddin Al Indunissy yang berafiliasi dengan QHI. Ada dua persoalan yang akan dibahas. Pertama, bagaimana penanda dan petanda pada video rehab hati qurani (pelatihan ruqyah live). Kedua, bagaimana paham radikalisme tersemat dalam video rehab hati qurani (pelatihan ruqyah live). Kesimpulan, penanda berupa pemberian penjelasan dan praktek pembakaran keris, petanda dalam hal ini pembakaran terhadap warisan budaya serta penghinaan terhadapnya merupakan bentuk radikalisme. Pesan radikalisme terdapat pada sikap intoleran berupa audio maupun visual terhadap kebudayaan Jawa. Pencegahan dari penyebaran paham radikal yang bisa menjadi ‘akar’ kekerasan bisa diantisipasi sejak awal menjadi implikasi utama dari tulisan ini.
