Abstract:
Five new intramolecularly coordinated aluminum species, whose molecular structures have been elucidated in solution by NMR spectroscopy and in the solid state by single crystal X-ray analysis, are described. All species are equipped with a trisyl-based ligand with a pyridyl donor group [Pytsi stands for -C(SiMe3)2SiMe2(2-C5H4N)]. While the compound (Pytsi)AlMeCl was accessible either from Li(THF)(Pytsi) and MeAlCl2 or from (Pytsi)AlCl2 and LiMe, the tert-butyl derivative (Pytsi)AltBuCl could only be obtained from Li(THF)(Pytsi) and tBuAlCl2. Attempted synthesis of (Pytsi)AltBuCl from (Pytsi)AlCl2 and LitBu or from (Pytsi)AlCl2 and tBuMgCl failed. Three other compounds (3-5) were synthesized and can be described as derivatives of (Pytsi)AlMe2 with additional groups in the ortho position of the pyridyl group. Compound 3 carried a Me group in the ortho position, while compounds 4 and 5 were equipped with Ph and 2,6-diisopropylphenyl moieties, respectively.Key words: aluminum, trisyl ligands, methyl alanes.

Abstract:
This case report describes the extraordinary recovery of Father Ronald Pytel from valvular cardiac disease. Father Pytel had developed severe left ventricular dysfunction and congestive heart failure from aortic valvular disease. Following aortic valve replacement surgery, his condition did not improve. Following a healing Mass on the Feast Day of Blessed Faustina Kowalska and through her intercession, he demonstrated a complete recovery. The doctors of the Sacred Congregation for the Cause of Saints voted that the sudden change from a severely damaged left ventricle of the heart to a normal functioning left ventricle cannot be explained by natural medical science. This case was used in the process of Saint Faustina's canonization.

Abstract:
The rate constants of the reaction of triethylamine with ethyl iodide have been measured in 15 solvents at the temperatures of 293, 313, 333 and 373 K. The solvent characteristics by Kamlet and Taft and those by Pytela have been found to be excellently applicable to evaluation of influence of medium on this reaction at all the temperature mentioned. However, these methods give different results with regard to the proton-donor effects of solvents on the reaction.

Abstract:
With today’s focus on Continuous Integration, test cases are used to ensure the software’s reliability when integrating and developing code. Test cases that behave in an undeterministic manner are known as flaky tests, which threatens the software’s reliability. Because of flaky test’s undeterministic nature, they can be troublesome to detect and correct. This is causing companies to spend great amount of resources on flaky tests since they can reduce the quality of their products and services. The aim of this thesis was to develop a usable tool that can automatically detect flakiness in the Randomness category. This was done by initially locating and rerunning flaky tests found in public Git repositories. By scanning the resulting pytest logs from the tests that manifested flaky behaviour, noting indicators of how flakiness manifests in the Randomness category. From these findings we determined tracing to be a viable option of detecting Randomness as a cause of flakiness. The findings were implemented into our proposed tool FlakyReporter, which reruns flaky tests to determine if they pertain to the Randomness category. Our FlakyReporter tool was found to accurately categorise flaky tests into the Randomness category when tested against 25 different flaky tests. This indicates the viability of utilizing tracing as a method of categorizing flakiness.

Kliegr, Tomáš. "Unsupervised Entity Classification with Wikipedia and WordNet." Doctoral thesis, Vysoká škola ekonomická v Praze, 2007. http://www.nusl.cz/ntk/nusl-126861.

Full text
Abstract:
This dissertation addresses the problem of classification of entities in text represented by noun phrases. The goal of this thesis is to develop a method for automated classification of entities appearing in datasets consisting of short textual fragments. The emphasis is on unsupervised and semi-supervised methods that will allow for fine-grained character of the assigned classes and require no labeled instances for training. The set of target classes is either user-defined or determined automatically. Our initial attempt to address the entity classification problem is called Semantic Concept Mapping (SCM) algorithm. SCM maps the noun phrases representing the entities as well as the target classes to WordNet. Graph-based WordNet similarity measures are used to assign the closest class to the noun phrase. If a noun phrase does not match any WordNet concept, a Targeted Hypernym Discovery (THD) algorithm is executed. The THD algorithm extracts a hypernym from a Wikipedia article defining the noun phrase using lexico-syntactic patterns. This hypernym is then used to map the noun phrase to a WordNet synset, but it can also be perceived as the classification result by itself, resulting in an unsupervised classification system. SCM and THD algorithms were designed for English. While adaptation of these algorithms for other languages is conceivable, we decided to develop the Bag of Articles (BOA) algorithm, which is language agnostic as it is based on the statistical Rocchio classifier. Since this algorithm utilizes Wikipedia as a source of data for classification, it does not require any labeled training instances. WordNet is used in a novel way to compute term weights. It is also used as a positive term list and for lemmatization. A disambiguation algorithm utilizing global context is also proposed. We consider the BOA algorithm to be the main contribution of this dissertation. Experimental evaluation of the proposed algorithms is performed on the WordSim353 dataset, which is used for evaluation in the Word Similarity Computation (WSC) task, and on the Czech Traveler dataset, the latter being specifically designed for the purpose of our research. BOA performance on WordSim353 achieves Spearman correlation of 0.72 with human judgment, which is close to the 0.75 correlation for the ESA algorithm, to the author's knowledge the best performing algorithm for this gold-standard dataset, which does not require training data. The advantage of BOA over ESA is that it has smaller requirements on preprocessing of the Wikipedia data. While SCM underperforms on the WordSim353 dataset, it overtakes BOA on the Czech Traveler dataset, which was designed specifically for our entity classification problem. This discrepancy requires further investigation. In a standalone evaluation of THD on Czech Traveler dataset the algorithm returned a correct hypernym for 62% of entities.

Title: Comparison of thermal comfort of sleeping bag according to EN 13537 Objectives: Objectives of the proposed work was to measure the temperature inside the sleeping bag during sleeping. Then to compare it with the information given on the labels of sleeping bags. Methods: This work has a experimental character. In our work we have used methods of experiment and field study. These methods were used to sample 7 sleeping bags from various manufacturers. Results: The information reported by manufacturers always do not correspond to real use of sleeping bags. EN 13537 has primarily orientation character. For the choice of sleeping bags we do not recommend to follow according only to the EN 13537. It is necessary to follow other parameters of sleeping bags (type and weight of insulation material and construction of chambers). Keywords: sleeping bag, EN 13537, thermal comfort

Abstract:
The paper presents an approach to evaluate modulation techniques in a Grid-Tied two-level Inverter using Test-Driven Design (TDD). It presents a set of tests that collect and calculate performance, harmonic, and power metrics of the inverter, based on IEEE Standards. The results are obtained by a Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulation and the TDD is applied with the pytest framework and Python language. The results of TDD procedure offer a structure to analyze different characteristics of the modulation approaches considering the Half-Bridge converter and the Space Vector, Sinusoidal and Carrier-Based algorithms.
