Résumé Cet article vise à démontrer l'intérêt sans cesse grandissant de la psychologie génétique pour l'analyse multi-variée des nombreux facteurs de développement psychologique. Au-delà de la relation mère-enfant, les chercheurs se tournent de plus en plus vers les facteurs physiques et sociaux du milieu familial, les facteurs directement liés à l'enfant et les formes d'ajustement famille-enfant et ce, dans le cadre tant du développement socio-affectif que du développement cognitif. Il ne s'agit pas d'un relevé exhaustif de la documentation mais une introduction à de nouvelles avenues de recherche particulièrement prometteuses.

« Approche écologique de la famille en SESSAD ». Par l’accompagnement médico-social des familles touchées par le handicap qu’il propose, le SESSAD peut être considéré comme une institution paradigmatique d’une intervention écologique. Le psychologue en SESSAD travaille à la reprise des liens intra-familiaux bouleversés par le traumatisme. Il favorise le maillage des liens extra-familiaux en intervenant dans l’environnement familier de l’enfant, avec les partenaires institutionnels. Il aide chaque acteur (enfant, parent, intervenant) à se situer dans ce réseau, à élaborer son rapport au handicap. Il participe à l’inclusion d’un enfant handicapé au sein de la société civile. L’auteur s’appuie sur une situation clinique familiale où le psychologue, au sein d’une équipe pluridisciplinaire, construit pas à pas ce travail de liaison qui soigne la famille.

Abstract:

Compte tenu des développements rapides tant des progrès scientifiques en matière de procréation que des pratiques sociales, l’homoparentalité et la transparentalité ont cristallisé de nombreuses interrogations portant sur la parenté ainsi que sur les définitions de la paternité et de la maternité dans plusieurs disciplines. L’homoparentalité et la transparentalité remettent en question le modèle biologique et biparental (une mère et un père) dans lequel les parents ont procréé leurs enfants ou peuvent passer pour l’avoir fait, et sont au plus au nombre de deux. Au-delà des inquiétudes concernant le développement psychologique des enfants nés dans ces types de famille, auxquelles de nombreuses études en psychologie ont tenté d’apporter une réponse, les familles homoparentales et transparentales offrent de nouvelles possibilités de questionnements et réflexions – que ce soit en sociologie, anthropologie, en droit de la famille et de la filiation. En effet, ces familles rassemblent dans leur diversité des situations de désintrication de la conjugalité, la procréation, la filiation et la parenté. Cette désintrication, qui met à mal le modèle dans lequel les dimensions procréative (être né de), légale (être fils/fille de) et affective (être élevé par) sont confondues, est aujourd’hui présente également dans plusieurs autres configurations familiales, notamment les recompositions familiales, le recours à la procréation assistée avec tiers donneur ou l’adoption. Cet article introductif sera l’occasion de rappeler ce qu’on entend par homoparentalité et transparentalité, et fera dialoguer autour des enjeux soulevés par ces thématiques des travaux issus de disciplines différentes. Une revue de la littérature rassemblera ensuite les travaux menés sur l’homoparentalité depuis les années 1990, selon trois approches principales : psychologique, socio-anthropologique et socio-juridique. Enfin, les travaux sur la transparentalité, moins nombreux et plus récents, seront regroupés dans une partie distincte. Cet article s’achèvera par une présentation des articles constituant ce numéro.

RÉSUMÉLe Dr Richard Taylor est devenu le héro et le modèle de rôle de ce réviseur, à titre de psychologue qui entreprend maintenant son voyage dans les étapes intermédiaires de la maladie d'Alzheimer. Même si cela peut sembler improbable, M. Taylor est de fait le parfait exemple du modèle scientifique-praticien en psychologie qui mise beaucoup sur son expertise en recherche (compilant systématiquement ses notes et les classant à l'aide de l'informatique), et il est comme un observateur attentif et un professeur qui l'aide à formuler sa «méthode d'enquête» afin de créer une étude phénoménologique de son expérience comme participant-observateur dans un milieu naturaliste. Ici, les milieux autour desquels s'articule sa documentation comprennent notamment l'esprit de M. Taylor (ses pensées et ses sentiments), les liens de rapports mutuels avec sa famille, ses amis et ses fournisseurs de soins professionnels, et son environnement physique. Il associe toutes ces données à un excellent matériel documentaire d'appoint, et envoie aux fournisseurs de soins de santé professionnels, aux membres des familles et aux personnes souffrant de la maladie d'Alzheimer le message qu'il faut prendre des mesures visant à défendre et à faire valoir les intérêts de ces personnes, afin de mieux comprendre la maladie et les soins à donner aux personnes qui en sont atteintes.

Abstract:

Dans ce travail, nous etudions le concept du mythe familial qui designe l'ensemble organise des representations' collectives du groupe familial. Ce mythe va permettre de cerner le sentiment d'appartenance de chacun des membres au systeme familial et de construire leur identite commune. Nous avons choisi d'etudier vingt familles grecques afin d'illustrer leur organisation mythique a l'aide du modele psychanalytique et du modele systemique constructiviste. Selon le processus therapeutique en cours, nous avons choisi d'utiliser le genogramme, le choix des photographies familiales et l'echelle de l'histoire de relations familiales ("f. R. H. " de bagarozzi et anderson). Le "filotimo", c'est-a-dire l'honneur en grec, l'hospitalite et l'amour chretien sont, selon nous, les themes mythiques preponderants au sein du systeme familial grec, malgre les separations et les immigrations. Le mythe "familial" d'ulysse montre les principes de la loyaute et de la fidelite au groupe - familial - d'appartenance a travers le reve du rapatriement des familles migrantes. Le concept du mythe familial ouvre des nouvelles possibilites therapeutiques : le groupe famille-therapeute permet la construction de nouveaux fantasmes communs qui retablissent la circulation des fantasmes individuels et des mythes familiaux.

La violence est la conséquence d'une augmentation d'énergies psychiques non liées quand le cadre ou la structure sont défaillants ou inadaptés. Dans les situations de chaos consécutives à des crises graves, des cycles organisés de violences peuvent apparaître. . . Les traumatismes graves non-intégrés, en particulier les deuils difficiles, peuvent engendrer des condensations traumatiques qui sont susceptibles de se transmettre à travers les générations. . . Une capacité de résilience et d'auto-protection, innée ou acquise ou une psychothérapie analytique permettent d'éviter ces cycles de violence. . . La valeur attachée à l'intégrité du corps et à la vie est la base de l'éthique de la prévention. L'instauration de mesures de prévention efficaces nécessite au préalable : -de ne pas dissocier la prévention des violences de la prévention du suicide ; -une analyse des mythes, des paradoxes et des résistances inhérents à la prévention, surtout celles des intervenants eux-mêmes ; -d'aider les intervenants et les familles à développer leur capacité d'auto-protection.

Les sociétés noires antillaises sont nées de la traite, de l'esclavage et de l'économie de plantation. On trouve au sein de ces sociétés une grande diversité des formes familiales, variant notamment selon la composition, le statut social, etc. Cette thèse tend à démontrer que par delà cette diversité on ne rencontre qu'une seule structure familiale, que l'on peut appeler matrifocalé - à condition toutefois de distinguer la matrifocal ite de toute définition en termes de composition, de fonction ou de domination. Le pole maternel occupe dans le dispositif familial une position axiale, que le père soit ou non présent, que la mère-génitrice soit ou non présente. Cette these procède à une approche psychanalytique de la structure familiale. Le matériel clinique sur lequel elle se fonde est constitue par les conflits meurtriers des assises de la Guadeloupe. D'une part ces conflits ne concernent que la famille et le voisinage, d'autre part ils ont le mérite d'exhiber ce qui dans la vie courante demeure larve. Chacun de ces conflits est comme la manifestation des lignes de tension de la structure familiale. Un des aspects de cette these est de donner un éclairage nouveau sur l'opposition classique: persécution- culpabilité.

Ce travail a ete realise sur 116 orphelins marocains, de pere ou de mere, appartenant a deux structures familiales differentes : famille traditionnelle de type etendu ou famille moderne, conjugale. Nous avons essaye de verifier deux hypotheses fondamentales : la premiere postule que l'orphelin de pere presente plus de troubles de socialisation que l'orphelin de mere. La seconde hypothese se situe a un niveau systemique different : celui de l'influence de la structure familiale d'appartenance du jeune orphelin sur la regulation du processus de socialisation. Il y aurait un effet d'interaction de la structure familiale sur l'intensite des troubles. Afin de verifier ces hypotheses, une batterie de tests a ete administree : - l'echelle de socialisation de gouph. - le test des construits personnels de kelly. - le test des trois personnages de backes. Les sujets etaient tous des citadins, ages de 16-18 ans, ayant tous le meme niveau d'etude, provenant du meme milieu socio- economique et vivant avec un seul parent. This study has been realised from one hundred and sixteen fatherless or motherless maroccan orphans, belonging to two different family structures : a tradional family of the extended type or a modern conjugal family. We've tried to check two basic assumptions : the first one postulates that the fatherless child shows more socialisation troubles than the motherless child. The second assumption takes place at a different system level, such as the influence of the family structures, where the young orphan lives, upon the regulation of the socialisation process. There would be an effect of interaction between the family structure and the intensity of troubles. In order to check those assumptions, a battery of tests has been dispensed : - the scale of socialisation from gouph. - the role construction repertory test from kelly. - the test of the three persons from backes. The subjects were all towns people, aged of sixteen to eigteen years, having all of them the same study level, coming from the same socio-economic circle and living with only one parent. It is not in any account a reconstructed family

Abstract:

Cette recherche a pour but d’éclairer le fonctionnement des familles recomposées avec belle-mère. Les hypothèses sont que, d’une part la survenue des conflits est liée à un style défensif particulier de la belle-mère et à la nature du lien qui unit les conjoints, et que, d’autre part la résolution de ces conflits passe par la résolution du conflit de loyauté vécu par les beaux- enfants. Les données recueillies, auprès de 40 belles-mères, sont un entretien semi-directif et deux questionnaires sur le style défensif (Bond, 1983) et sur le niveau d’ajustement conjugal (Spanier,1976). Les résultats montrent que la belle-mère déploie un système défensif significativement différent de celui de la population générale. La propension des beaux-enfants à manifester les conflits sous une forme oedipienne ou de loyauté dépend du mode de relation entre le père et la belle-mère ainsi que de l’âge et du sexe des beaux-enfants. Aucune autre corrélation n’apparaît entre les séries de données disponibles
This research aims at improving knowledge about stepmother-stepfamilies functioning. Hypotheses are that, firstly, the emergence of conflicts is related to a specific stepmother defensive style and to the marital adjustment and, secondly, the resolution of conflicts implies the resolution of the conflict of loyalty. The input from 40 stepmothers is a semi directive interview, the Bond (1983) defensive style questionnaire and the Spanier (1976) marital adjustment questionnaire. Results show that the stepmother's defensive style is significantly different from the average population. The tendency to develop an oedipal conflict or a conflict of loyalty is related to the type of relationship shown by the father and the stepmother and also to the age and sex of stepchildren. No other correlation appears between any of the series of data

Abstract:

Specialists in family psychology approach individuals and the family group, with the ultimate goal of preventing and solving problems that may arise in the family context. Interventions in this field consider that family dynamics play an important role in the psychological functioning of family members. The specialized training allows him to intervene to prevent possible family problems, but also to solve them. Failure to resolve these crises in time will lead to their exacerbation, that is why the family psychologist acts at the right time for the stability and balance of the family, taking into account different aspects: family history, ethnicity, level of culture. The tools that the psychologist uses take into account several factors: the specifics of the family, the specifics of the family crisis that has occurred, the level of maturity of the members, the reluctance to change, the motivation to change the crisis situation. All these aspects lead the family psychologist to develop those tools adapted to the situation because solving these problems requires individualized programs.

Whereas most studies in the context of acculturation research have focused so far on family relations between first generation parents and their second generation children in adolescence, the present study draws its attention on immigrant families at later stages in the family life cycle. This study is part of the FNR-funded project on “Intergenerational Relations in the Light of Migration and Ageing – IRMA” in which a cross-cultural comparison of altogether N = 120 Portuguese and Luxembourgish triads of older parents and their adult children, both living in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, is envisaged. The aims of this project are, firstly to examine similarities and differences in family values, internalized norms and mutual expectations of older parents and their adult children in migrant and non-migrant families; secondly, to analyze in how far an acculturation gap respectively a generation gap might have an impact on the relationship quality between parents and their adult children; thirdly and related to this, to explore subjective well-being (SWB) of all involved family members. Results are discussed in the framework of an integrative model of intergenerational family relations in the light of migration and ageing.

Though the effects of each of these variables may be hard to separate, distinct elements of each can be seen in the three examples used to illustrate this point. The common theme of the three case studies demonstrates that neither the community ecology nor cultural archetypes provide sufficiently satisfactory explanations for the everyday behaviors of the family members. Rather, the common denominator involves the context in which community and cultural influences interact to determine the outcome. When the context is one that supports both sets of influences, the families of young children are not in conflict. Rather, the context supports the developmental goals of the family in ways that are beneficial to everyone –child, family, and community.

Immigrant families of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) face significant challenges in accessing and using rehabilitation services appropriate for their child’s disorder. Compared to families native to their host country, the stress experienced by these families in relation to their child’s condition may be magnified by their immigrant status. This study compared self-reported parenting stress levels among 24 mothers and 17 fathers who had immigrated to Canada to income-matched, Canadian-born parents. Overall, Canadian-born parents tended to report higher stress levels than immigrant parents, but this may be primarily due to the high stress levels among Canadian-born fathers relative to immigrant fathers and mothers from both types of families. These findings highlight the necessity of using supplemental and specialized stress measures when focusing on immigrant families, for whom stress associated with the immigration process may compound or manifest separately from parenting stress. Cultural influences on the perception of ASD (its causes, treatment, and prognosis), children’s place in the family, and parents’ roles in childrearing may also impact stress.

Cependant, la prise en charge d’une personne handicapée au sein de la famille pose des défis singuliers qui risquent de miner le bien-être de la famille. Cet état de fait s’avère particulièrement fréquent au sein des familles n’ayant qu’un faible degré de soutien social, affectif et financier. De fait, le bien-être de nombreuses familles touchées par l’incapacité demeure fragile, et ces vulnérabilités ainsi que les moyens d’y remédier adéquatement sont parfois mal compris. Il faudra déployer des efforts supplémentaires afin de mieux comprendre et soutenir ces familles.

This report presents findings drawn from qualitative remote ethnography research with 24 UK participants conducted during July and August 2021, plus nine peer-to-peer interviews conducted by main sample participants with their friends and family. This research aimed to build on existing evidence in this area to fill gaps and provide an up-to-date snapshot of UK public experiences. Areas of focus included: Motivations for dietary choices Any gaps between consumer intention and behaviour Trade-offs and contextual differences (e.g. in vs. out-of home behaviours) The roles of specialist diets, substitution approaches, alternatives and ‘imitations’, locally/UK sourced meat and dairy, socio-demographics, culture and family Impact and role of food labelling and terminology The sample represented a range of variables including age, gender, nationality (England, Wales, Northern Ireland), urbanity/rurality, lifestage and household composition - and dietary profile (carnivore, ‘cutting down,’ vegetarian, vegan). This report was informed by an evidence review by the University of Bath on the factors underpinning the consumption of meat and dairy among the general public.

Nous présentons dans ce compte-rendu une synthèse du 40e Colloque Jean-Yves Rivard, organisé par le Département de gestion, d'évaluation et de politique de santé de l’École de santé publique de l’Université de Montréal, qui s’est tenu le 1er juin 2023 et qui portait sur les soins primaires. Le colloque était constitué de quatre panels réunissant des chercheurs, décideurs, professionnels de la santé et représentants de patients, ainsi que d’une conférence de clôture présentée par un expert en analyse des systèmes de santé. Les thèmes abordés ont été l’optimisation du rôle du médecin de famille, la contribution de l’ensemble des professionnels de la santé, les modèles novateurs d’ici et d’ailleurs, et le modèle idéal de soins primaires pour les patients inscrits et orphelins et les perspectives sur la première ligne en santé. Les messages clés du colloque ont mis en évidence la nécessité de travailler en équipe et de revoir le modèle d'inscription et d'affiliation des patients à un médecin de famille. D'autres recommandations ont également été émises, telles qu’étendre la collaboration entre les CLSC et les GMF, envisager différents modèles de soins complémentaires en fonction des besoins des patients, renforcer les systèmes de communication entre établissements et entre professionnels et donner plus de pouvoir aux patients à toutes les étapes de leur trajectoire de soins.

Au Canada, à l’instar d’autres pays à revenu élevé, les familles ont changé de façon importante au cours des dernières décennies. Les femmes ayant aujourd’hui moins d’enfants et étant moins susceptibles de se marier qu’auparavant, les ménages familiaux sont désormais plus petits et une proportion croissante d’enfants sont élevés par des parents seuls ou qui vivent en cohabitation. On observe une baisse des taux de divortialité, ce qui suggère que les couples qui se marient sont plus enclins à maintenir leur union. La décision de se marier ou d’avoir des enfants ainsi que le moment opportun pour s’y consacrer sont grandement influencés par les facteurs socioéconomiques et les valeurs culturelles en constante évolution. Certains groupes, notamment les personnes immigrantes, les minorités visibles et les Autochtones, adoptent des modèles distinctifs en matière de formation des familles. L’emplacement géographique façonne également les familles. Le Québec et le Nunavut se distinguent par des taux de cohabitation très élevés, et la fécondité au Canada est environ 50 % plus élevée en milieu rural qu’en milieu urbain. Ces transformations majeures, de même que ces importantes variations ont des répercussions considérables sur le bien-être des enfants et de leur famille. La compréhension de tels changements et de la diversité des modèles familiaux s’avère cruciale pour orienter l’élaboration de politiques sociales adaptées et efficaces en ce qui trait à la famille, à la santé, à l’éducation et au logement.

Description logics in their standard setting only allow for representing and reasoning with crisp knowledge without any degree of uncertainty. Of course, this is a serious shortcoming for use cases where it is impossible to perfectly determine the truth of a statement. For resolving this expressivity restriction, probabilistic variants of description logics have been introduced. Their model-theoretic semantics is built upon so-called probabilistic interpretations, that is, families of directed graphs the vertices and edges of which are labeled and for which there exists a probability measure on this graph family. Results of scientific experiments, e.g., in medicine, psychology, or biology, that are repeated several times can induce probabilistic interpretations in a natural way. In this document, we shall develop a suitable axiomatization technique for deducing terminological knowledge from the assertional data given in such probabilistic interpretations. More specifically, we consider a probabilistic variant of the description logic EL⊥, and provide a method for constructing a set of rules, so-called concept inclusions, from probabilistic interpretations in a sound and complete manner.
