Abstract:
SynopsisStability and asymptotic stability of the null solution of the differential-difference equation (E)x′(t) = f(x(t), x(t − r)), f: RNxRN → RN, f(0, 0) = 0, are studied by means of an extension of the Liapunov–Razumikhin method. Let V: RN → R be a differentiate map, let C = C(+ −r, 0=, RN), and let x(t, ψ) denote the solution of (E) with initial condition ψ in C at t = 0. For t ≧ 0 let xt(ψ) be defined by xt,(ψ)(θ) = x(t + θ, ψ), −r ≦θ ≦0. Let V′ (ψ) be the variation of V along the solution x(t, ψ). We say that V is dichotomic with respect to (E) if there exist T ≧0 and Ω, a neighbourhood of the origin in C, such that if ψ is in the closure of the set where V′ (xT(ψ)) >; 0, then V(x(T, ψ)) ≦ V(x(s, ψ)) for some s, −r ≦ sT. It is proved that if V is positive definite, continuously differentiable, and dichotomic, then the null solution of (E) is stable. A concept of strict dichotomic map is introduced and used to prove asymptotic stability. A number of examples are given to illustrate the applications of the method.

AbstractIt is shown that the system of the form x + V′ (x) = p (t) with periodic V and p and with (p) = 0 is near-integrable for large energies. In particular, most (in the sense of Lebesgue measure) fast solutions are quasiperiodic, provided V ∈ C(5) and p ∈ L1; furthermore, for any solution x(t) there exists a velocity bound c for all time: |x(t)| < c for all t ∈ R. For any real number r there exists a solution with that average velocity, and when r is rational, this solution can be chosen to be periodic.

Abstract:
An irreversible conversion process is a dynamic process on a graph where a one-way change of state (from state 0 to state 1) is applied on the vertices if they satisfy a conversion rule that is determined at the beginning of the study. The irreversible k -threshold conversion process on a graph G = V , E is an iterative process which begins by choosing a set S 0 ⊆ V , and for each step t t = 1 , 2 , ⋯ , , S t is obtained from S t − 1 by adjoining all vertices that have at least k neighbors in S t − 1 . S 0 is called the seed set of the k -threshold conversion process, and if S t = V G for some t ≥ 0 , then S 0 is an irreversible k -threshold conversion set (IkCS) of G . The k -threshold conversion number of G (denoted by ( C k G ) is the minimum cardinality of all the IkCSs of G . In this paper, we determine C 2 G for the circulant graph C n 1 , r when r is arbitrary; we also find C 3 C n 1 , r when r = 2 , 3 . We also introduce an upper bound for C 3 C n 1 , 4 . Finally, we suggest an upper bound for C 3 C n 1 , r if n ≥ 2 r + 1 and n ≡ 0 mod 2 r + 1 .

Abstract:
Especially for bicycle motocross (BMX) cyclists, transfer of muscular force-velocity (Fv) characteristics between common strength training exercises and cycling is important. This study investigated the relationship between Fv characteristics in a common training exercise (squat jumps) and a sport-specific task (cycling) in high-level BMX racers by exploring the degree to which Fv and torque–cadence (Tc) characteristics correspond. Twelve BMX racers performed an Fv (multiple loaded squat jump) and two Tc tests (ramp starts and flat-ground sprints). Results revealed very large correlations between F 0 and T o r 0 s t a r t (r = 0.77) and between P m a x j u m p and P m a x s t a r t (r = 0.85). On the other hand, the relationships between v 0 and C a d 0 s t a r t (r = –0.25) and between S F v and S T c s t a r t (r = –0.14) were small and negative. Similar results were observed for sprints. Based on dichotomous classifications (greater or less than group median), several discrepancies occurred, particularly for the profile slopes and high-speed variables. Thus, we recommend performing both jump-based and cycling-specific F v testing. Of additional note, T c characteristics on flat ground were similar to, but slightly different from those on the start ramp. Therefore, where possible, Tc tests should be carried out on a ramp.

Modification of Resiprene-35 (R-35) was carried out using the monomer of olefin acrylic derivative, namely methacrylic acid. The purpose of the modification of the R-35 using methacrylic acid was to obtain an adhesion promoter material suitable for cyclic natural rubber which in the future is expected to be used as a paint material for polyolefin surfaces. The modification process of R-35 with methacrylic acid monomer was carried out in a solvent system at a temperature of 110-140 °C and the experimental design was designed using Qualitek V.4.0 software. The analysis of modified R-35 material was carried out using FTIR and 1 H-NMR. FTIR analysis showed typical peaks rather than O-H, C-C, C = O, C = C, and C-O bonds which represented the presence of R-35, methacrylic acid, and divinylbenzene. Further analysis %G with Qualitek V.4.0 software showed that the highest %G could be achieved by conditioning the reaction at T = 140 °C % MAA = 20%, % DVB = 20%, and t = 180 minutes, with an estimated %G obtained, was 26.08%.

Abstract:
Polycrystalline vanadium oxide ( VO x) thin films with mixed phases of V 6 O 13 + VO 2 (M) are deposited onto p-doped Si (100) substrates at 430°C using magnetron sputtering. By vacuum annealing on as-deposited VO x thin films at 450°C, at different annealing times we obtained nanoscale polycrystalline VO x thin films with two or more mixed phases. With the annealing time increasing, the phases of the films underwent the following transformation: V 6 O 13 + VO 2 ( M ) → VO 2 ( M ) + VO 2 ( B ) → VO 2 ( B ) + VO 2 ( M ) + V 5 O 9 → V 4 O 7 + V 5 O 9. The surface of VO x thin films prepared in different conditions is of high quality with mean grain size ranging from 80 to 300 nm and the R a being about 20nm. The lowest temperature coefficient of resistance at ambient temperature (20°C) of -2% K-1 is found in the VO x thin film annealed at 450°C for 8 h with mixed phases of VO 2 ( M ) + VO 2 ( B ), which can meet the needs of microbolometer materials.

Abstract Background Ceftolozane/ Tazobactam (C/T), Ceftazidime/ Avibactam (C/A), Meropenem/ Vaborbactam (M/V) and Imipenem/ Relebactam (I/R) are new combination beta-lactam/ beta-lactamase inhibitor antibiotics primarily used to treat multidrug-resistant (MDR) Gram-negative infections. This study synthesized outcomes of comparative observational studies and randomized control trials (RCTs) that evaluated clinical success of these antibiotics compared to other therapies. Methods PubMed, EMBASE, and Google Scholar were searched from January 1st, 2013 through October 1st, 2019 for comparative observational studies and RCTs of C/T, C/A, M/V and I/R in patients with pneumonia, complicated intra-abdominal and urinary tract infections. Study and patient demographics were collected along with clinical and microbiological success rates. Meta-regression analysis was used to determine the pooled effectiveness of C/T, C/A, M/V, and I/R. Heterogeneity and publication bias were assessed via I2 values and funnel plots, respectively. Results Literature search returned 1,645 results. After exclusion criteria, 21 publications representing 6,246 patients were retained: 16 RCTs (8 C/A, 3 C/T, 3 I/R, 2 M/V) and 5 comparative observational studies (3 C/A, 2 C/T). Pooled risk ratios for clinical success showed that all four antibiotics were non-inferior to comparator antibiotics (0.99 (95% CI (0.97-1.01)). Eleven of the sixteen RCTs evaluated microbiological success; pooled risk ratio was 1.08 (95% CI 1.04-1.13), indicating that older therapies were more successful at microbiological eradication than newer antibiotics. Only 6 of the included studies (3 RCTs and 2 observational studies) focused on patients with MDR infections. Limiting the analysis to MDR RCTs did not change the overall conclusions. Conclusion Although older therapies had slightly higher microbiologic clearance, pooled clinical success rates for C/A, C/T, M/V, and I/R were non-inferior to older therapies, including in studies focused on patients with MDR infections. Additional studies are needed to further evaluate these drugs’ effectiveness for treatment of MDR infections. Disclosures All Authors: No reported disclosures

Abstract:
Abstract In this paper, we investigate the influence of Poole–Frenkel effect (PFE) on the dynamic R ON transients in C-doped p-GaN HEMTs. To this aim, we perform a characterization of the dynamic R ON transients acquired during OFF-state stress (i.e. V GS,STR = 0 V < V T, V DS,STR = 25–125 V) and we interpret the results with the aid of numerical simulations. We find that dynamic R ON transients at room temperature accelerate with V DS,STR 1/2, which is signature of PFE, as further confirmed by the simultaneous decrease of the activation energy (E A) extracted from the Arrhenius plot of the dynamic R ON transients at V DS,STR = 50 V and T = 30 °C–110 °C. Results obtained by means of calibrated numerical simulations reproduce the exponential dependence of transients time constants (τ) on V DS,STR 1/2 and consequent E A reduction only when including the PFE-enhancement model of hole emission from dominant acceptor traps in the buffer related to C doping. This result is consistent with the ‘hole-redistribution’ model that considers hole emission from acceptor traps (rather than electron capture) as the mechanism underlying dynamic R ON increase during OFF-state stress.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to define almost ( α , F σ ) -contractions and establish some generalized fixed-point results for a new class of contractive conditions in the setting of complete metric spaces. In application, we apply our fixed-point theorem to prove the existence theorem for Fredholm integral inclusions ϖ ( t ) ∈ f ( t ) + ∫ 0 1 K ( t , s , x ( s ) ) ϑ s , t ∈ [ 0 , 1 ] where f ∈ C [ 0 , 1 ] is a given real-valued function and K : [ 0 , 1 ] × [ 0 , 1 ] × R → K c v ( R ) is a given multivalued operator, where K c v represents the family of nonempty compact and convex subsets of R and ϖ ∈ C [ 0 , 1 ] is the unknown function. We also provide a non-trivial example to show the significance of our main result.

Abstract:
The connectivity is an important measurement for the fault tolerance of a network. Let G = V G , E G be a connected graph with the vertex set V G and edge set E G . An S -tree of graph G is a tree T that contains all the vertices in S subject to S ⊆ V G . Two S -trees T and T ′ are internally disjoint if and only if E T ∩ E T ′ = ∅ and V T ∩ V T ′ = S . Denote κ G S by the maximum number of internally disjoint S -trees in graph G . The generalized k -connectivity is a natural generalization of the classical connectivity, which is defined as κ r G = min κ G S | S ⊆ V G and S = r . In this paper, we mainly focus on the generalized connectivity of cube-connected-cycle C C C n and hierarchical hypercube HHC n , which were introduced for massively parallel systems. We show that for n = 2 m + 2 m ≥ 1 , κ 4 HHC n = m and κ 4 CCC n = 2 , that is, for any four vertices in CCC n (or HHC n ), there exist 2 (or m ) internally disjoint S -trees connecting them in CCC n (or HHC n ).

Abstract:
Let V \mathtt {V} be a standard subspace in the complex Hilbert space H \mathcal {H} and G G be a finite dimensional Lie group of unitary and antiunitary operators on H \mathcal {H} containing the modular group ( Δ V i t ) t ∈ R (\Delta _{\mathtt {V}}^{it})_{t \in \mathbb {R}} of V \mathtt {V} and the corresponding modular conjugation J V J_{\mathtt {V}} . We study the semigroup \[ S V = { g ∈ G ∩ U ⁡ ( H ) : g V ⊆ V } S_{\mathtt {V}} = \{ g\in G \cap \operatorname {U}(\mathcal {H})\colon g\mathtt {V} \subseteq \mathtt {V}\} \] and determine its Lie wedge L ⁡ ( S V ) = { x ∈ g : exp ⁡ ( R + x ) ⊆ S V } \operatorname {\textbf {L}}(S_{\mathtt {V}}) = \{ x \in \mathfrak {g} \colon \exp (\mathbb {R}_+ x) \subseteq S_{\mathtt {V}}\} , i.e., the generators of its one-parameter subsemigroups in the Lie algebra g \mathfrak {g} of G G . The semigroup S V S_{\mathtt {V}} is analyzed in terms of antiunitary representations and their analytic extension to semigroups of the form G exp ⁡ ( i C ) G \exp (iC) , where C ⊆ g C \subseteq \mathfrak {g} is an Ad ⁡ ( G ) \operatorname {Ad}(G) -invariant closed convex cone. Our main results assert that the Lie wedge L ⁡ ( S V ) \operatorname {\textbf {L}}(S_{\mathtt {V}}) spans a 3 3 -graded Lie subalgebra in which it can be described explicitly in terms of the involution τ \tau of g \mathfrak {g} induced by J V J_{\mathtt {V}} , the generator h ∈ g τ h \in \mathfrak {g}^\tau of the modular group, and the positive cone of the corresponding representation. We also derive some global information on the semigroup S V S_{\mathtt {V}} itself.

For a graph G, the resistance distance r G ( x , y ) is defined to be the effective resistance between vertices x and y, the multiplicative degree-Kirchhoff index R ∗ ( G ) = ∑ { x , y } ⊂ V ( G ) d G ( x ) d G ( y ) r G ( x , y ) , where d G ( x ) is the degree of vertex x, and V ( G ) denotes the vertex set of G. L. Feng et al. obtained the element in C a c t ( n ; t ) with first-minimum multiplicative degree-Kirchhoff index. In this paper, we first give some transformations on R ∗ ( G ) , and then, by these transformations, the second-minimum multiplicative degree-Kirchhoff index and the corresponding extremal graph are determined, respectively.

Abstract:
The aim of this study is to investigate the existence of solutions for the following Fredholm integral inclusion φ ( t ) ∈ f ( t ) + ∫ 0 1 K ( t , s , φ ( s ) ) ϱ s for t ∈ [ 0 , 1 ] , where f ∈ C [ 0 , 1 ] is a given real-valued function and K : [ 0 , 1 ] × [ 0 , 1 ] × R → K c v ( R ) a given multivalued operator, where K c v represents the family of non-empty compact and convex subsets of R , φ ∈ C [ 0 , 1 ] is the unknown function and ϱ is a metric defined on C [ 0 , 1 ] . To attain this target, we take advantage of fixed point theorems for α -fuzzy mappings satisfying a new class of contractive conditions in the context of complete metric spaces. We derive new fixed point results which extend and improve the well-known results of Banach, Kannan, Chatterjea, Reich, Hardy-Rogers, Berinde and Ćirić by means of this new class of contractions. We also give a significantly non-trivial example to support our new results.

Abstract This paper is concerned with the following Kirchhoff-type problem with convolution nonlinearity: -\bigg{(}a+b\int_{\mathbb{R}^{3}}\lvert\nabla u|^{2}\,\mathrm{d}x\bigg{)}% \Delta u+V(x)u=(I_{\alpha}*F(u))f(u),\quad x\in{\mathbb{R}}^{3},\,u\in H^{1}(% \mathbb{R}^{3}), where {a,b>0} , {I_{\alpha}\colon\mathbb{R}^{3}\rightarrow\mathbb{R}} , with {\alpha\in(0,3)} , is the Riesz potential, {V\in\mathcal{C}(\mathbb{R}^{3},[0,\infty))} , {f\in\mathcal{C}(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{R})} and {F(t)\kern-1.0pt=\kern-1.0pt\int_{0}^{t}f(s)\,\mathrm{d}s} . By using variational and some new analytical techniques, we prove that the above problem admits ground state solutions under mild assumptions on V and f. Moreover, we give a non-existence result. In particular, our results extend and improve the existing ones, and fill a gap in the case where {f(u)=|u|^{q-2}u} , with {q\in(1+\alpha/3,2]} .

Abstract:
Homogeneously weighted moving average ( H W M A ) charts have recently achieved popularity for monitoring small changes in process parameters (location and/or dispersion). Furthermore, the D H W M A (double H W M A ) and T H W M A (triple H W M A ) are the advanced versions of the H W M A charts. The H W M A chart for the process dispersion is designed to detect only the upward (one-sided) shift (i.e., process deterioration). Employing a two-sided chart for concurrently detecting both process improvement and process deterioration is an important aspect of statistical process monitoring. By taking this point as motivation, one and two-sided T H W M A charts (symbolized as the T H W M A V ) are proposed for monitoring the process dispersion. The Monte Carlo simulations are performed to investigate the performance behavior of the T H W M A V charts in terms of certain performance indicators, including A R L , S D R L , E Q L , R A R L , and P C I . The comparison among the T H W M A V versus existing charts ( D H W M A V , H W M A V , T E W M A V , D E W M A V , and E W M A V ) indicates that the T H W M A V charts outperform the existing charts. Finally, a dataset is also analyzed to illustrate the implementation of the T H W M A V charts.

For most of the salts examined, formation of [TlCl5]2− is possible; however, no isolated [TlCl5]2− anions were observed. In most cases, high coordination numbers at thallium were observed (CN = 6), and these can be achieved via formation of anionic chains or through dimerization, giving [Tl2Cl10]4−. Of particular interest is the solid state structure of salt 3 in which there are three geometrically different chlorothallate ions. Extensive hydrogen-bonding networks are observed in each structure. Key words: thallium, thallium(III) chlorides, chlorothallate, hydrogen bonding, alkyl ammonium cations.

Abstract:
Abstract The genericity of Arnold diffusion in the analytic category is an open problem. In this paper, we study this problem in the following a priori unstable Hamiltonian system with a time-periodic perturbation H ε ( p , q , I , φ , t ) = h ( I ) + ∑ i = 1 n ± 1 2 p i 2 + V i ( q i ) + ε H 1 ( p , q , I , φ , t ) , where ( p , q ) ∈ R n × T n , ( I , φ ) ∈ R d × T d with n, d ⩾ 1, V i are Morse potentials, and ɛ is a small non-zero parameter. The unperturbed Hamiltonian is not necessarily convex, and the induced inner dynamics does not need to satisfy a twist condition. Using geometric methods we prove that Arnold diffusion occurs for generic analytic perturbations H 1. Indeed, the set of admissible H 1 is C ω dense and C 3 open (a fortiori, C ω open). Our perturbative technique for the genericity is valid in the C k topology for all k ∈ [3, ∞) ∪ {∞, ω}.
