Full textToday even small museums are called to go beyond their borders, developing new activities to increase their reference network and make solid alliances also outside. This research path is aimed at enhancing the intangible cultural heritage of a small museum through the support of technologies. The site selected as a specific case study is the Museu do brinquedo da Ilha de Santa Catarina, located on the campus of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), in Brazil. This museum represents the pilot case study for the creation of an interactive and digital model through the use of open source platforms, with the aim of expanding the public of small museums, which constitute the majority of the cultural heritage worldwide, as well as promoting inclusive practices of ethnic minorities, such as the Indios of the Santa Catarina state. The study aims to research the main anthropological characteristics and customs of the indigenous cultures of the state of Santa Caterina and allows to trace a path through the world of childhood expressed in the imagination of the game. The project involved the creation of a photographic exhibition on traditional games within the Xokleng tribes of the state of Santa Catarina. A virtual path was added to this exhibition, offered to visitors through a digital platform and supported by the use of QR codes, which enriched the experience of the exhibition visit. The proposed didactic-digital design aims to guarantee respect, access and recognition to different conceptions of education, museum, childhood and socio-cultural diversity.

Full textThough its toils, pedagogy is still unable to say something new about education, society and culture. It continues only to produce all sort of teleologies, that is a large quantity of finalities for education. On the contrary, possibility to say something new about education seems linked to a new interpretation of three important concepts: science, epistemology and criticism. They could really let pedagogy to start a new connection with its object (education). In the second part of the work, I try to think of Riccardo Massa’s speech again. I consider his pedagogy as a new theory, able to think education as a particular “field” of experience. Education, in the opinion of Riccardo Massa, is a “device”, that is a mechanism made by specific elements and specific force levels. In the third part of the research, first, I try to use “device” theory to show a new possible way to structure and to run a rehabilitation ward. Finally, I try to use the same theory to show a new possible way to plan educational work with children families.

Full textIn the digital age, vocational education and training (VET) institutions emerged as transformative and flexible development environments; consequently, it is important to develop digital professional learning opportunities which must meet the requirements of the European labor market. The research has been conducted into these opportunities, in order to find new tools for planning and conducting continuing professional development studies and for achieving and maintaining the versatile skills required in careers these days. This study aims to fill a research gap regarding advanced skills-based professional development by investigating the open badge-based digital learning process in the context of vocational training. The research question considers how open digital badges structure the learning process in the continuous professional development of new pre and in-service professions. The research was aimed to explore different ideas, opinions and experiences regarding the use of a badging system within professional training courses. Through this route we have developed an understanding wave of concepts and opportunities for the design of new educational practices. The research question explored the design of a digital vocational training course based on the application of the logic of the game and a system of micro-credentials. What has been highlighted is the introduction of necessary changes both to the delivery systems, the e-learning platforms, and to those for the management and planning of online training activities (the LMS, Learning Management System) and, finally, to the way in which the courses are designed and implemented. The simple overlapping, as a plug-in, of badges in e-learning platforms, without an adequate project of radical change in the way of doing digital training, will not produce the desired results. The firm's general research question is: “What are the best practices for designing an open badge- based career path” ? The entity of digital learning based on open badge includes learning materials, badge criteria, educational badge, scaffolding and support to all the participants . This study provides insights into the structure of the process and planning at various levels for the 'application of ' approach based on Design Research based and digital badge open and professional development.

Full textTaking part in an adequate level of physical activity represents a very important behaviour for the maintaining and the improvement of people's health. For this reason, among others, physical education is present in schools curricula worldwide, with the aim to help young people to value the importance of an active lifestyle. Nevertheless, in the transition from high school to university, a decrease in physical activity has been often been observed. Moreover, there are young people that are physically inactive during high school, and these are more at risk for a sedentary behaviour during the university years. It can be useful, for the end of improving the health and the wellbeing of university students, to implement interventions for the promotion of physical activity. The present dissertation describes the planning and the evaluation of an educational program to promote the adoption and the maintaining of a physically active lifestyle among university students. The aim is to provide a project for the creation of a service for the promotion of physical activity offered by the university to the students. The dissertation is composed by three main parts, related one each other, but that also represent partly independents researches: 1) A systematic review of the literature regarding controlled trials of interventions aimed at promoting physical activity among university students. In this part of the dissertation, the literature will be critically analysed, to search for strategies that have proved to be effective in promoting physical activity among university students. 2) An explorative survey among the students of the University of Padua. The survey has been carried out to investigate the phenomenon of physical inactivity among the students of the University of Padua, and to analyse the main perceived barriers to physical activity. 3) The planning and e valuation, by means of a pilot study, of a personalised educational intervention for the promotion of physical activity among university students. The planning of the intervention is preceded by the exposition of the anthropological and the pedagogical theoretical frameworks adopted.

Full textThe transportation of agro-alimentary products is constantly evolving. The research has been focusing on long distances, tied with the global market. But results in a lack of investigations in medium and short distances which also possess some efficiency gain. The investigation of these shorter mode of transport is paramount as they have significant impact on the triptych of sustainability. In this context, the concepts of "food miles" and of "km-zero" have spread widely among the consumers, attesting the community awareness regarding sustainability issues. However, as environmental concerns arise, such concept has showed it's limit. Therefore the question, "Can transportation of food become economically, socially and culturally sustainable, to preserve the ecosystem?", that lead to this concept, needs to be reassessed. Starting from a pedagogical standpoint, this question can be rephrased as “How can consumers, economical stakeholders and policy makers become environmentally friendly about transportation of food, to preserve the ecosystem?”. For a successful undertaking of such problematic, it is paramount to evaluate the need of novel training practises as well as the design of interdisciplinary research. A new formulation of such concept, embodied in "kmeter green", would aim to promote sustainable mobility on all the distances and chains' lengths.
