Abstract:
PurposeIn response to the top-down professional development (PD) practice, this study conceptualizes lesson study (LS) as a bottom-up approach to foreign language teacher PD in the Turkish context. Relatedly, the authors seek to empower teachers so that they can engage in reflexive PD and claim voice over their practices.Design/methodology/approachAn LS project including four teachers was implemented at a higher education language centre and conducted as a critical ethnographic study. Using ethnographic research qualitative data collection methods such as field notes, interviews and artefacts, the data were analysed with a thematic analytic approach.FindingsDrawing on cultural-historical activity theory (CHAT), findings revealed that LS was a meta-activity that allowed teachers to be agents of the PD practices. More significantly, LS empowers teachers to have a situated impact on their development activities in addition to the meta-activity's impact on them.Originality/valueThis study is one of the few that goes beyond the reflective value of LS and gives contextual evidence of how reflexive PD can occur in LS. The reflexive relationship between the agent (participant–teachers) and the process (LS practice) provides a strong implication revealing the transformative impact of bottom-up PD activit(ies).

ObjectiveTo investigate the psychological impact of the tragic accident in Tempi which cost of 21 students’ life (2003), on mental health professionals (MHP).MaterialBDI and Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R) scores of PHPO MHP (psychiatrists/child-psychiatrist/psychologies/social workers) who offered support to victims’families/teachers/rest of the students.Method/resultsThe personnel were deployed to the area exposed to witnessing experiences/impressions of the accident. Participants responded to BDI 10 days and IES-R 9–10 months past-accident. There was an IES-R retest 7 years later. The response rate was 100%. All achieved mild depression scores. As for IES-R, common qualities of conscious experience were found among them, though with different personality styles. Two major response sets, intrusion (unbidden thoughts/troubled dreams/waves of feelings/repetitive behavior) and avoidance (denial of the meanings of the event/behavioral inhibition/counterphobic activity/emotional numbness) were abstracted from evaluation. No sex differences were mentioned as there was only one male in the group.A correlation of 0.42 (p > 0.0002) between intrusion and avoidance subscale scores indicated that the two subsets were associated, though not measuring identical dimensions.7 years later the mean score of the personnel on IES-R was 23: Impact Event: may be affected. All achieved a quite high score on the response ‘any reminder brought back feelings about it’.ConclusionMHP face additional emotional strain often over extended periods of time. There is a need to develop strategies such as insight oriented training. Research is imperative and an ethical requirement to find ways to protect the health of the carers and so their patients.

Abstract:
Under the influence of the general informatization of education, the creation of the information educational environment (IEE) and the issues of preparing teachers for professional and pedagogical activity are taking place and how its functionality changes in IEE remain at the center of attention of research. One of the objectives of this article is the attempt of the authors to reveal the content, features, meaning, role of the concept, the influence of various factors on the functional of the teacher in the conditions of informatization of education.A modern teacher in his work faces a whole layer of problems: from the introduction of the Federal State Educational Standards to the implementation of the main educational programs, the creation of teaching materials like teaching staff of the Federal State Educational Standards, the choice of appropriate methods and means of organizing education, etc. A modern educational institution is required to introduce new approaches to learning, which, along with fundamental training and compliance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard, provide an information-educational environment. Therefore, the readiness of the teacher for professional activity is considered by us as professionally and personally significant qualities of a university graduate, as knowledge and skills in a particular field, and ICT competence as a readiness for innovation activity. The work emphasizes that the role and importance of the content of the course informatics in the formation of everything necessary for a full-fledged professional activity of a modern teacher of informatics in accordance with its information culture and computer literacy, as information and communication technology (ICT) become key elements in improving educational system. However, the impact of ICT on the result of a teacher’s activity will be qualitative only when ICT have a specific impact on the content of the components of his professional and pedagogical activity. The study noted a number of objective and subjective factors that have a significant impact on the ways the teacher works and the organization of training in the information educational environment, on the content of the components of professional and pedagogical activity. Thus, the need to purposely train future teachers to work in such an environment is beyond doubt.

Abstract:
This article has been produced from an investigative network which is linked to the interlocution between research groups in relation to the studies they develop. GPFOPE, GTFORMA and KOSMOS groups, in quest of contributing for the area of teacher formation, have produced contributions for implementing and improving educational and institutional policies, seeking the qualification of classroom and distance learning courses. The purpose of this reflection is to offer alternatives to rethink the formation processes promoted by the IES and their repercussion in the organization of the pedagogical activities they develop. In this sense, we consider that the focus of teacher formation cannot be restrict to thinking and discussing the organization of teaching and its divisions but, most of all, it is to mobilize the subjects to continue learning in the different contexts of activity. This includes reflecting upon and about the pedagogical practice, understanding the problems within the teaching, analyzing curriculums, recognizing the influence of the didactic materials in the pedagogical choices, socializing the constructions and experiences exchange in order to advance in direction to new learning, within a constant exercise of reflexive, collaborative and collective practice. It is about a process that is characterized by tensions and challenges in unknown contexts in which the trainers seek professional balance. So that it happens, teachers need to be conscious that they are subjects in permanent evolution and professional development of teachers.

Abstract:
Background: Analysis of aviation accident investigations indicates that one of the main causes of accidents is a decrease in the level of stress resistance of the crew during extreme flight situations, which in turn can lead to a crash. The study of the problem of the negative impact of stressors on the effective operation of the flight crew, indicates that there is a need to form stress resistance in future pilots of civil aviation in the training process. This quality will reduce the threat to flight safety due to human error. Purpose: To characterize publications that actualize the issues of professional stressors in the activities of civil aviation pilots, because their activities are constantly accompanied by many specific stressors, most of which are long-term. Materials and Methods: In the process of research general scientific methods were used – abstract-logical, theoretical generalization, comparison, analysis and synthesis, system analysis. Results: The problem of the impact of stress on the professional activities of pilots is considered, which in modern conditions becomes especially relevant, because the number of air traffic is growing every year. The main four types of general stress that occur in professional flying, as well as the consequences it leads to, are analyzed. Groups of stressors acting on pilots during professional activity are considered and analyzed. An explanation of the psychological mechanisms (aggression, irritability, dogmatism and frustration) that may be involved in trying to cope with a stressful situation. Conclusions: The practical importance for further research in improving the training of future pilots of civil aviation to reduce the impact of the human factor on flight safety was substantiated, as evidenced by the direct impact of stressors on flight safety and the number of extreme flight situations.

Abstract:
This article explores the roots of feminist and liberation psychologies, positioning examples of contemporary praxis that are deeply informed by today's complex global realities. Examining the consequences of academic and professional women's accompaniment of women `on the margins', that is, those living in `limit situations' deeply affected by global realities of poverty, gender-based violence and structural inequalities, we argue that activist scholars are developing feminist liberationist psycholog(ies) within and beyond the borders of psychology that respond to and incorporate these lived experiences. Through participatory research, pedagogy and community-based workshops, this special issue demonstrates this new praxis. Thus, critical reflexivity and `just enough trust' enable engagement across differences, creating in-between spaces for dialogue, appreciation, and contestation as well as alliances and solidarity — values for a renewed and transformed praxis of psychology with and for those historically marginalized and excluded from our theory and practice.

Abstract:
The goal is to study the features of the cognitive reserve (CR) in HIV-infected patients admitted to the hospital, the relationship of CR with cognitive disorders, stress and coping strategies, taking into account the drug history.Materials and methods. The study was conducted in the hospital of the Saint Petersburg Center for the prevention and control of AIDS and infectious diseases in 2019. Methods were used: 1) The Cognitive Reserve Index questionnaire (CRIq); 2) Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA); 3) «Methods of coping behavior» by R. Lazarus. 4) Modified Impact of Event Scale (IES-R); 5) The Somatic Symptom Disorder — B Criteria Scale (SSD-12).Results. The study involved 57 HIV-infected patients (43.9% — women). The median age was 39.6 years. The correlation analysis revealed a positive relationship between the KR index and the «non-professional activity» subscale (r = 0.847, p = 0.000), age (r = 0.299, p = 0.024) and MoCA indicators (r = 0.290, p = 0.029). Indicators of the KR subscale «professional activity» have a negative relationship with the indicators of coping strategies «distancing» (r = -0.379, p = 0.004), «self-control» (r = -0.355, p = 0.008), «positive revaluation» (r = -0.293, p = 0.030), «problem solving planning» (r = -0.283, p = 0.035). MoCA indicators in patients with HIV infection are associated with the CR «Education» subscale (r = 0.306, p = 0.021) and the General CR index (r = 0.290, p = 0.029). Obsessive feelings and thoughts related to the impact of HIV infection are more often experienced by patients who have never abused drugs and are involved in professional activities than by patients with experience of drug use.Conclusion. Cognitive impairment and cognitive reserve in HIV-infected patients admitted to the hospital of the AIDS Center are related to coping behavior.

Abstract:
The concept of entrepreneurship as a competence is very important for achieving smart, sustainable, and inclusive growth in the context of European policies. The employment growth, reducing poverty or social exclusion, personal and career development largely depends on the rise of entrepreneurship. Promoting entrepreneurship for sustainable development should start at school age when is the best time for development of the entrepreneurial mindset and bringing up social activity. The article summarizes observations and analysis of the results of the Innovative Learning System (InnoSchool). This system copes with the weak entrepreneurial culture and low engagement of young people towards social innovation and entrepreneurship. The training system uses intensive learning interaction between direct participants, students and teachers on one hand, and all concerned parties from school, local and regional authorities, business, educational institutions and non-governmental organisations on the other hand. The result is a change in the attitude of high school students regarding entrepreneurship, motivation and dedication to social responsibilities, which would have a positive impact on their future professional career.

Abstract:
Objective: Although the psychological states of athletes were negatively affected during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a lack of studies examining the psychological impact on athletes according to age, sports discipline, and contact requirement of the sport. The aim of this study was to evaluate the psychological effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on elite athletes according to age, sport discipline (team-individual), and contact requirements of the sports (contact and non-contact). Material and methods: Three questionnaires (Depression anxiety stress scale-21, Impact of events scale (IES), International physical activity questionnaire (IPAQ)) were sent to participants’ smartphones, six weeks after professional football leagues were postponed. The online survey was completed by 440 athletes and 126 non-athlete volunteers. Athletes were divided into three groups as follows; team sports, individual contact, and individual non-contact-sports. Also, each group was subdivided into two age groups as youth and adult. Results: Depression, anxiety, and stress scores for the team sports were significantly lower than individual contact-sports (p<0.01 each) and individual non-contact-sports (p=0.02, p<0.01, p<0.01, respectively). IES score for the team sports was significantly lower than the individual contact sports, individual non-contact sports, and non-athlete volunteers (p<0.01, p=0.02, p=0.04, respectively). There was no other significant difference between the scale scores of the groups (athletes-control, or youth-adult) (p>0.05). Conclusion: Mental health status of team sport athletes were relatively protected, whereas, individual contact sports athletes were highly affected. The psychological states of individual contact athletes should be monitored closely, and necessary psychosocial support should be provided to create coping strategies.

Abstract:
The experience of developing an independently established educational standard (IEES) for Bachelor’s Programs of Tourism and Service, included in the major group of Programs and Specialties in Perm State National Research University (PSNRU), is presented in the study. The research outlines the problem of combining the geographical focus with the economic and managerial ones and gives ways to solve it. In the paper the structure of the MEP (Main educational program) training units has been established, approaches to formation of elective parts in the programs have been explored and key points and competence-oriented learning objectives have been set. The elective part of the Bachelor’s Program in Tourism is structured on the grounds of spatial-route and project tourism dimensions, historical and cultural, service and organizational-economic specificities and regional ownership. The principle of regional ownership on employers’ approval is manifested in the standard in use of sports and health activity as an additional one. In accordance with this type of activity the graduate is able to perform such professional tasks as organization of sports and health tours, programs and preparation of various tourism products on the basis of regional specifics, security provision and tactical and technical support of tourist groups. The analysis of modern approaches to service reveals its most demanded in society components and service employees’ traits which determined the training objectives. The approaches to the disciplinary content of the elective part in the Bachelor’s Program in Service are formulated. They are the following: Service and Organization and Management, a combination of Standard Professional Activity with its Creative Component, Socio-cultural and Client-oriented Activity; Formation of Universal Human Traits and Psychological Stability. The principles, objectives and their disciplinary implementation in Tourism and Service MEP are summarized, grouped and presented in the tables. The research closes by outlining the problems of IEES formation.

Abstract:
Abstract The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology Earthquake Browser (IEB; see Data and Resources) is a web-based tool that enables anyone to query an earthquake database composed of over five million events recorded over the past 50 yr. The IEB visitor can query on earthquake magnitude, depth, timing, and location and can visually display the results in 2D map view or as an interactive pseudo 3D view. The user can toggle features such as plate tectonic boundaries, terrain or satellite mapping, and zoom to place the results in a geologic or geopolitical context and add visual appeal. To better understand who visits the IEB and why, to include information on demographics and how users perceive the IEB functionality and ability to meet their needs, we conducted a pop-up user survey on the IEB from 25 January to 21 February 2018. We received 495 useable responses from 58 countries, with 40% of the total respondents from the United States. The largest demographic consists of interested citizens who are 55 yr of age or older and have a high school education. We also find that visitors come to the IEB to learn about earthquakes for two main reasons: for their own personal knowledge or because expanding their knowledge is important to their research or work in a professional context. We also find a dramatic increase in survey respondent activity following the 16 February 2018 M 7.2 Oaxaca, Mexico, earthquake, with many respondents interested in finding more information about recent earthquake events that affect them or their family. Our observations indicate that users are successful and satisfied with the ease of use and amount of time spent on the IEB to find answers to their questions about earthquakes. The most beneficial feature of the IEB as identified by survey respondents is the spatiotemporal visual display of real earthquake data.

Abstract:
In the article the multi-subject phenomenon of photography, which clearly combines the fea-tures of a document, a work of art, modern technologies and a means of communication is stud-ied in the diachronic aspects using the methods of comparative analysis, systematization and generalization. It summarizes the information about the long history of photography as a form of fixation of reality, as a way of storing and transmitting information. The changes in functional and instru-mental characteristics of photography are outlined. The rapid expansion of the direction of development of photography in many Ukrainian regions as early as the late nineteenth and in the early twentieth centuries is indicated: formation of infrastructure; emergence of professional and amateur photo societies and organizations that have been active in professional and educational and promotional activities. It is proved that active photography activity formed a public request for scientific study of pho-tography, its theory formation; caused the emergence of specialized periodical photo editions (“Photo-Cinema” (1924), “Photo for Everyone” (1928-1930) and “Photo – Socialistic Construction” (1932-1934). All this contributed to the emergence of a system of professionals training in photography, formal photo education, study of photography in art educational institutions. The prerequisites and the first steps of formation of photojournalism and the system of photo genres are traced. The active participation of Ukrainian masters in production and improvement of photographic equipment is stated. It is said that in the 30’s of the twentieth century a significant step of state policy was made in development of the plants of mechanical engineering and chemical industry of Ukraine, which created the preconditions for development of photo industry. The considerable attention is paid to the major achievements of Ukrainian production of photographic equipment, first of all at the Kyiv Arsenal Factory.

Abstract:
BackgroundTo prevent COVID-19 from spreading in long-term care facilities (LTCFs), the Dutch government took national restrictive measures, including a visitor-ban in LTCFs between mid-March and May 2020.Physical visits were replaced by alternatives as telephone or video calls. This study examines the relationship between the involvement of family caregivers (informal caregivers, ICs) of people with dementia (PwD) living in LTCFs and IC mental health during the visitor-ban. Furthermore, we examine whether this relationship is moderated by the frequency of contact with PwD during the visitor-ban and resilience of ICs.MethodsA cross-sectional study was carried out, 375 Dutch long-term care organizations were invited by email to participate. LTCFs sent eligible ICs a link to an anonymous online survey. Family involvement was assessed by the visiting frequency and doing social (e.g. drinking coffee), or social and task-related (e.g. laundry) activities during visits before the visitor-ban.Results958 ICs of PwD participated. Contact frequency increased for 17% ICs and decreased for 25% compared to visiting frequency. 43% of ICs did only social activities and 57% social and task-related activities. ICs who visited their relatives at least once a week before the visitor-ban were more worried during the visitor-ban than those with less regular visits (main effect). Contact frequency during the visitor-ban was a moderating factor, ICs who visited the PwD daily before, but had at least weekly contact during the visitor-ban, worried less. No main effects for activity type were found on loneliness , however resilience was a moderating factor. Resilient ICs who did more diverse activities (task and social related) before the visitor-ban, experienced less loneliness during the visitor ban.ConclusionsThe results implicate that to reduce worries amongst ICs, LTCFs should facilitate in continuing contact with PwD during a visitor-ban, specifically in highly involved ICs. Also, non-resilient ICs that generally only do social activities are more prone to loneliness. It is advisable for healthcare and welfare professionals to reach out to this group, to help them with overcoming their loneliness.

The subject. The study of the Genesis of the emergence and development of any phenomenonallows to know its essence, as well as to make a prediction about the prospects for itsfurther development. Given the importance of self-regulation in the context of the changesin our country, administrative reform, addressing the problems of the Genesis of self-regulationis very timely and relevant. The purpose of the article is to reveal the peculiarities of the emergence and developmentof self-regulation in Russia.Methodology. The methodological basis for the study: general scientific methods (analysis, synthesis, comparison, description); private and academic (comparative legal, interpretation,formal-legal).Results, scope. Under self-regulation this article is to understand the management activitiescarried out by self-regulatory organizations, and consisting in the development and establishmentof standards and rules of professional activity, as well as sanctions for non-complianceor inadequate performance. Based on the author's proposed definition of "self-regulation",the fundamental criterion for the recognition of any organizations the prototypeof the modern self-regulating organizations was selected the purpose of their creation: regulationof activity of subjects of professional activities and the availability of appropriategiven the objectives of the authority. The study of the history of creation and functioningof associations of subjects of professional activity allows to conclude that self-regulation isnot fundamentally new, previously unknown in our country a legal phenomenon.Conclusions. The first prototypes of self-regulatory organizations originated in Russia in theMiddle ages as a voluntary Association of merchants. In the XVIII century found the beginnings of a model of mandatory self-regulation. In thisperiod at the state's initiative used the European experience, was created workshops as anorganizational form of Association of artisans, granting the right to engage in trade. In the Soviet period on the self-regulation can only speak as declaratory of the principle offunctioning of the legal profession. The emergence of self-regulation as a special kind of management activities occurred inRussia in late 1990s – early 2000-ies. The greatest degree of legal regulation-regulationachieved after the adoption of the Law on SRO, established a combination of voluntary andmandatory models of self-regulation.

Abstract:
Industrial control systems are essential for producing goods, generating electricity, maintaining infrastructure, and transporting energy, water, and gas. They form the core of the critical infrastructure of modern industrial nations and are therefore of particular interest. Through the increased interconnectivity of formerly isolated ICS process environments and the use of standard IT technologies such as Ethernet, processes can be optimized and synergies leveraged. However, ICS/SCADA also becomes the target of the same cyber-attacks as conventional IT systems. It is, therefore, necessary to combine the accumulated knowledge and experience of IT security with the classic Safety-First-mentality of ICS/SCADA-environments in order to avoid significant problems in the foreseeable future. The new course was created for precisely this purpose. The approach of investigating the security of systems and organizations in Red and Blue Teams has long proven it is worth and is used worldwide. This second part of the exercises describes the Blue Team action in case of an attack and beyond. As opposed to Red Teaming, Blue Teaming is an independent group that develops defenses against Red Team activities to improve an organization’s effectiveness and security and tests and improves them during a Red Team attack. The present work aims to impart the interfacing knowledge; in the practical exercises of Blue Teaming, weaknesses of these hybrid infrastructures and systems are identified, and decisions are discussed on how to counteract possible attacks or even prevent them in advance. Throughout the course, students will participate in numerous practical exercises using the tools and techniques that form the basis of decision-making to prevent attacks on infrastructures, such as industrial control systems. Abstract:
Formulation of the problem. In modern conditions of high-tech economic development, the question of training directly for production arises. This issue, in particular, is addressed by the vocational school, which assumes the main functions in the training system. The big role in it belongs to the teacher who is engaged in formation of the personality of the manufacturer not only as a production unit, but also as a factor of formation of competitiveness, actually, the future worker, and himself personally as the expert in the market of education. Analysis of recent research and publications. The issue of using the skills of a teacher in the system of production activities has always been the focus of researchers in the field of education. Recently, much attention has been paid to this, as Soft Skills of the modern teacher give him the appropriate advantages in the educational market. In particular, it is worth paying attention to the research carried out by V.V. Sidorenko, H.-D. Kubler, I.S. Kalenyuk, V.G. Muromets, L.L. Familyarskaya and others. The purpose of this study is to trace and elucidate the relationship of Soft Skills teacher of a vocational school with its competitiveness in the education market and to train competitive future professionals in the labor market. Materials and methods. The implementation of this study is based on the following principles: conceptuality, which allows to obtain integrated results; debatability, which allows the admission of different views on this issue; historicity, which makes it possible to determine the views of scientists and practitioners on this issue in different historical periods. Research results. The article attempts to consider the question of how in modern conditions of development of the educational market the role and importance of the teacher as the main product force in the system of training of the future specialist is grown. Pedagogical vocational school in market conditions creates a special product - an educational service, which is implemented by the educational institution in conditions of serious competition. In addition to his purely professional competencies, the teacher must have a number of skills and abilities. They are often characterized by the broad term Soft Skills - "soft skills" and "flexible skills". Soft Skills allow you to be successful regardless of the specifics of the activity and the direction in which the person works, in particular the teacher of the vocational school. As a rule, they are referred to as so-called social skills: the ability to persuade, approach people, lead, interpersonal communication, negotiation, teamwork, personal development, time management, erudition, creativity and other qualities. The paradox in this case is that the above skills are difficult to call those that lie outside the professional competencies of the teacher. However, it is these qualities that give the teacher become his competitive advantages in the educational market. In addition, such advantages of individual teachers create advantages for the educational institution, which receives advantages in the market. The educational institution should be interested in its production (teaching) staff to be the most professionally trained (Hard Skills) and endowed with qualities beyond the professional qualities that become a factor of competitiveness in the educational market (Soft Skills). In this combination, the effect of synergy is achieved both at the personal level and at the level of the educational institution. Conclusions. Soft Skills teacher of a vocational school gives him the opportunity to gain benefits in the educational process and in the educational market, provided their skillful use. Also, Soft Skills educator play a major role in organizing the learning process of future professionals, influencing their formation as members of society. Teachers who have the appropriate qualities in the total result affect the creation of an appropriate image of the institution and its competitiveness in the education market.

"Antigen-presenting cells of haematopoietic origin prime cytomegalovirus-specific CD8 T-cells but are not sufficient for driving memory inflation during viral latency." Abstract:
Expansion of the CD8 T-cell memory pool, also known as ‘memory inflation’, for certain but not all viral epitopes in latently infected host tissues is a special feature of the immune response to cytomegalovirus. The Ld-presented murine cytomegalovirus (mCMV) immediate–early (IE) 1 peptide is the prototype of an epitope that is associated with memory inflation. Based on the detection of IE1 transcripts in latently infected lungs it was previously proposed that episodes of viral gene expression and antigenic activity due to desilencing of a limited number of viral genes may drive epitope-specific memory inflation. This would imply direct antigen presentation through latently infected host tissue cells rather than cell death-associated cross-presentation of viral antigens derived from productively infected cells through uninfected, professional antigen-presenting cells (profAPCs). To address the role of bone marrow-derived profAPCs in CD8 T-cell priming and memory to mCMV, we have used here a combined sex-mismatched and MHC class-I mismatched dual-marker bone marrow chimera model in which presentation of the IE1 epitope is restricted to donor-derived sry +Ld+ cells of haematopoietic differentiation lineages. Successful CD8 T-cell priming specific for the Ld- and Dd-presented inflationary epitopes IE1 and m164, respectively, but selective failure in IE1 epitope-specific memory inflation in these chimeras indicates different modes of antigen presentation involved in CD8 T-cell priming and memory inflation. These data suggest that memory inflation during mCMV latency requires expression of the epitope-presenting MHC class-I molecule by latently infected non-haematopoietic host tissue cells and thus predicts a role for direct antigen presentation in memory inflation.

Abstract:
This study aimed to characterize the structure of Chinese yam (Dioscoreae Rhizoma) polysaccharide (CYP) and to investigate its protective effect against H2O2-induced oxidative damage in IEC-6 cells. The chemical composition and structural characteristics of the samples were analyzed by chemical and instrumental methods, including high-performance gel permeation chromatography, high-performance anion-exchange chromatography (HPAEC), Fourier transformed infrared (FT-IR), ultraviolet (UV), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Antioxidant activity was evaluated by establishing a cellular model of oxidative damage. The molecular weight of CYP was 20.89 kDa. Analysis of the monosaccharide composition revealed that CYP was primarily comprised of galactose (Gal), glucose (Glu), and galacturonic acid (GalA), and the ratio between them was 28.57:11.28:37.59. Pretreatment with CYP was able to improve cell viability, superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, and reduce intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and malondialdehyde (MDA) content after H2O2 injury. CYP also attenuated oxidative damage in cells through the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway. This study showed that CYP was an acidic heteropolysaccharide with a good protective effect against oxidative damage, and it thus has good prospects in food and biopharmaceutical industries.

Abstract:
Background: The Global Study of Sexual Attitudes and Behaviours was a survey of 27 500 men and women in 29 countries. Here we report the sexual activity, the prevalence of sexual difficulties and related help-seeking behaviour among participants in Australia. Methods: A telephone survey was conducted in Australia in 2001–2002, with interviews based on a standardised questionnaire. A total of 1500 individuals (750 men and 750 women) aged 40 to 80 years completed the survey. The questionnaire covered demographic information, overall health, and sexual behaviours, attitudes and beliefs. Results: Overall, 83% of men and 74% of women had engaged in sexual intercourse during the 12 months preceding the interview, and 38% of all men and 29% of all women engaged in sexual intercourse more than once a week. Early ejaculation (23%), erectile difficulties (21%) and a lack of sexual interest (18%) were the most common male sexual difficulties. The most frequently reported female sexual difficulties were: lack of sexual interest (33%), lubrication difficulties (26%) and an inability to reach orgasm (25%). Older age was a significant predictor of male erectile difficulties and of lubrication difficulties in women. Only a minority of men and women had sought help for their sexual difficulty(ies) from a health professional. Conclusions: Many middle-aged and older adults in Australia report continued sexual interest and sexual activity. Several sexual difficulties are highly prevalent in this population, but those experiencing these difficulties rarely seek medical help. This may be because they do not perceive such difficulties as serious or sufficiently upsetting.

Abstract:
The main aim of the research presented in this paper is to determine the scale of the phenomenon of hybrid self-employment in Poland in the period of 2013–2017 and its correlation with the economic situation and the labour market indicators. The main research question posed in the paper is whether the number of the hybrid self-employed is falling, e.g. because of the possibility of undertaking a financially-satisfactory paid job, or growing, in periods of the improvement of the economic situation. The paper introduces definitions of the hybrid self-employment concept (otherwise: hybrid entrepreneurship) and its classifications in scientific literature and empirical stud-ies. Data obtained from the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) pertaining to this phenom-enon in the period of 2013–2017 and the dynamics of changes in the number of the hy-brid self-employed are also presented, as well as the research into the correlation of this dynamics with the labour market indicators. The research demonstrates that the number of the hybrid self-employed in Poland is dependent to a larger extent on the labour mar-ket indicators than on the economic situation indicators. This might mean that the majority of the hybrid self-employed treat their business activity (sole proprietorship) as a source of additional income rather than as the development of a company which could become their main professional focus.

Abstract:
The aim of the article is to reflect the theoretical premises in the construction of the specific model of technical terminology exploitation in the Romanian language by allophone students. The theoretical and practical studies devoted to professional languages, mentioned in this paper, have been fundamental elements of the pedagogical model developed for the objective of the research. The models reflected in the Common European Framework of Reference for languages, designed for formative actions, which constitute a privileged opening in supporting the formation of communicative competence in a language other than the mother tongue, served as the basis: Model of development of generalindividual competences; Model of extension and diversification of linguistic communicative competence; Model of performing the determined communicative activity (-ies); Model of optimal functional insertion in a particular domain; Model of enrichment/diversification of strategies in terms of performing tasks. Communicative competence is a category that reflects the authors' point of view equating communicative competence and terminological competence, element in the reference system ofprofessional and personal training purposes. In conclusion, the modeling construct represented in Figure 3 defines the plan to affirm the coordinates of the methodology for valuing technical terminology in higher education (formative and operational), which will be concretized at the level of performance achieved at graduation integrating the technical terminology into a message for various communication contexts.

Abstract:
The article deals with the directions of professional education development, which are related to the necessity of focusing on the labor market needs, namely the competent direction of future specialists’ training, the implementation of the conceptual provisions for the standardization of professional education. The relevance of the tendency of professional education’s orientation onto the modern labor market is defined in the article. The purpose of the article is to investigate the peculiarities of the professional activity of teachers of modern vocational education and their influence on decision-making processes. The authors of the article have made an attempt to substantiate the analysis of the peculiarities of introducing a competence-oriented approach into education as one of the effective ways of its reformation and improvement. It is identified the cause-effect character of the necessity of designing a common methodology for the formation of the specialist’s competence and the urgent solution of the problem of professional education standardization. The authors have also defined the main contradiction of this process, which is seen in the lack of involving business entities, those are the customers of the future specialists’ training, in the process of creating qualification standards. The authors have noted that nowadays the activity of teachers on standardization of professional education on a competence basis becomes the main direction of the implementation of modernization reforms in education. Therefore, in order to achieve objectivity in the professional training teachers’ decision-making, the authors of the article have proposed to apply ideas and methods of information- extreme intellectual technology. This method of information-extreme intellectual technology (IEI-technology) for data analysis is based on maximizing the information capacity of the system in the machine teaching process, grounded onto the algorithm of the information- analytical system on the adaptation of the graduation department’s study content to the labor market requirements. The authors have made a conclusion that, minding the further development of a model of competency education associated with the transition from the general theoretical understanding of the peculiarities of constructing subject-based educational programs, situational-simulation technologies and control-measuring methods that are adequate to practical implementation with the use of modern information systems, the special attention should be paid to the creation of educational standards, according to which educational programs and educational disciplines’ content will be formed, aimed at a competency rather than on material indicators.

AbstractThere is a broad consensus on the importance and advisability of testing laboratories adopting a Quality Management System (QMS) to support their work, no matter they are industrial or research oriented. However, laboratories involved in R&D have specific difficulties to implement a QMS due to the peculiar nature of their activity. This paper analyzes the main challenges and difficulties found by professionals when implementing a QMS in a research testing laboratory, based on the literature review and a questionnaire with 86 laboratories participating performed in collaboration with RedLab (Red de Laboratorios de la Comunidad de Madrid). After this analysis, a set of requirements for the competence of research testing laboratories based on ISO/IEC 17025 and UNE 166002 is defined, and an agile methodology for the fulfilment of these requirements is proposed.

While effective management of education-al activities, ensuring the development of the competitiveness of the individual in the labor mar-ket and its potential for active participation in the life of society is possible on the basis of the modern paradigm of risk management, integrating achievements in pedagogical, economic, mathematical and computer sciences. A new methodology in the study is the fractal approach, which defines the idea of quantitative and qualitative analysis and assessment of the risk of non-formation of professional competencies, complex educational and cognitive constructs of subject activity. The fractal model of assessing the formation of knowledge and competencies, its risk landscape, taking into account the subject and cognitive divergence, will ensure the effective-ness of the structure of knowledge storage in the educational process, minimizing the time for building space and engineering knowledge bases, and the depth of solving the problem of pre-dicting educational risks. New methods of risk modeling based on machine learning algorithms and factor analysis, methods for constructing neural integrators, quantitative methods with and without taking into account the probability distribution will ensure the accuracy and speed of risk assessment and prediction, will allow one to identify new patterns of risk activity and further ways to develop the theory of risk. The presented effective strategies and innovative tools will solve the problem of minimizing unplanned chaos, the cascade of negative consequences of risky situations, including the COVID-19 epidemic.

Abstract:
This interview is the last in the series of conversations between Dmitri Shalin and Igor Semenovich Kon (1928–2011), recorded between 1990 and 2008. The present conversation took place in Las Vegas, U.S.A., 26–28 May 2008. The text reproduces a portion of the interview where I.S. Kon talks about his career and assesses his contribution to social science. The interview reflects the author’s interest in the biographical sources of sociological imagination and biocritical hermeneutics – a research program articulated in the online projects International Biography Initiative (IBI) and The Erving Goffman Archives (EGA). The conversation sheds new light on Kon’s scholarly activity in the soviet and postsoviet periods, helping us understand this major figure in the Russian social science as he casts critical glance on his professional career, reflects on inevitable compromises he had to make with the authorities, and reveals the impact that the generational shift had on his work and life.

Abstract:
Since its appearance at the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 in Wuhan (China), the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has spread rapidly worldwide. The outbreak was declared a pandemic in March 2020. Home confinement, travel restrictions, the closing of venues for exercise and recreation, and the cancellation of indoor and outdoor events including sport have been characteristic features of the public health responses around the world. The result has been a reduction in the levels of physical activity experienced by large numbers of the world population of all ages. This has caused considerable alarm for physical activity professionals around the world. In response, this position statement makes a case for the importance of continuing to embrace regular physical activity alongside the existing public health strategies that are being implemented in the management of the effects of the virus internationally. To be consistent with these policies this activity should always be away from others (application of social distancing) and preferably outdoors. Some potential benefits specific to the current situation, are suggested by reference to existing knowledge about the significance of exercise in the maintenance of a healthy immune system. However, these recommendations need to be viewed primarily within an unchanging context of the long-term value of healthy levels of physical activity for population well-being and quality of life. This has been made the more important on account of the potential harmful effects of the current reduced levels. Some recommendations for appropriate dosage and types of PA for those with different conditions are provided.

Abstract:
Fibers of potato protein and polysaccharides were obtained by needleless electrospinning. Mixtures of maltodextrin DE2 (dextrose equivalent) (0.8 g/mL), DE21 (0.1 g/mL), and different concentrations of potato protein (0.05, 0.1, 0.15, and 0.2 g/mL) were used for fiber production. Glycation was performed via the Maillard reaction after thermal treatment (0/6/12/24/48 h, 65 °C, 75% relative humidity). The effects of electrospinning and heating on trypsin inhibitor activity (IA) were studied. The results of the IA assay showed that electrospinning and glycation caused significant differences in IA among blends, heating times, and the interaction of blend and heating time (p < 0.001). The higher the protein content in the fibers, the higher the IA. The lowest IA was found in the mixture with the lowest protein content after 48 h. In other blends, the minimum IAs were found between 6 and 12 h of heating. The determination of the free lysine groups showed a nonsignificant decrease after heating. However, higher free lysine groups per protein (6.3–9.5 g/100 g) were found in unheated fibers than in the potato protein isolate (6.0 ± 0.5 g/100 g). The amide I and amide II regions, detected by the Fourier transform infrared spectra, showed only a slight shift after heating.

AbstractObjectivesWorldwide, not only the number of female medical students, but also of female surgeons increases. Simultaneously, younger generations take a closer look to their work-life balance. With this in mind, it seems necessary to evaluate the expectations of female surgeons in particular with respect to pregnancy during their surgical career.MethodsTherefore, a nationwide survey was conducted in Germany from July to December 2016 under the auspices of the German Society of Surgery as well as the Professional Board of German Surgeons. The questionnaire involved 2,294 female surgeons and 1,843 complete records were evaluated.ResultsOf the analyzed answers, 62% of the women (n=781) were operating during pregnancy. The joy of surgery (91.6%), followed by team spirit (57.1%), were the main motivations to perform operations while pregnant. Operative activity decreased from 30.8% in the first 3 months of pregnancy to 21.5% during the last three months. Regarding the possible complaints, e.g., leg edema, back pain, premature labor and vaginal bleeding, there were no significant differences between the women with or without activity in the operating room. Sick leave due to pregnancy (1–10 days) was stated by 40.4% of respondents.ConclusionDespite strong legal regulations for pregnant surgeons, the survey showed that most female surgeons are eager to operate despite their pregnancy. The results also demonstrate no significant differences regarding complications during pregnancy- or pregnant-dependent absence from work. Hospitals and surgical departments are asked to establish proper working conditions for pregnant surgeons and pregnancy should not be an obstacle for a career in surgery.

Abstract:
The subject of this work is to present forensic science standardization trends in the world and in Europe with special review of the application of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard, which is a condition for forensic laboratory accreditation. Through the analysis of needs and constant efforts to make the forensic area simpler for cooperation and more practical for use, as well as to improve the quality of forensic analysis results and their acceptance beyond the borders of a country, the author will try to point out the significance of implementing this international standard, in terms of economics and cost-effectiveness, as well as overall rationality. Accepting and exchanging the best professional and scientific experiences, professional help and cooperation in the form of international exchange of forensic data bases, and unreserved acceptance of valid forensic laboratory results ensure the quality the forensic science and profession are striving for, as shown in the EU document titled “Creating a common European space for the forensic sciences 2020”. We believe that forensic activity standardization in Bosnia and Herzegovina will help in fighting terrorism and organized crime more effectively. In other words, the process of forensic analysis will be more valid and practical, forensic laboratories more competent, and court proceedings more effective through norming the forensic handling of evidence. Thus an important obligation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its way to European integration will be fulfilled, because once a forensic laboratory receives an affirmation for its results, it becomes a benchmark for forensic analyses and crime detection.

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to identify and describe the high intensity running activity of professional footballers playing a high press strategy in a 4-4-2 formation. Data were obtained from an English Championship football team during a season of 27 home league and cup fixtures. The footballers were grouped by position: central midfield (CM) central defender (CD) full back (FB) wide midfield (WM) and centre forward (CF) while they played a 4-4-2 formation (2 CD and 2 FB; 2 CM and 2 WM; and 2 CF). High intensity running distance was greater for both CFs and WMs than other positions. The CFs and WMs were unable to sustain the level of high intensity running observed in the first 5 minutes beyond the 65th minute of the match. When introduced as a substitute, only the CFs covered greater distances compared to the exact time when they started a match. The knowledge gained on the distances at high intensity covered on a positional basis and the impact of introducing a CF substitution provides the football manager with critical information when preparing for competition.

Abstract:
This paper considers the current status of physical education and sport science in Indonesia from the perspective of the development of the professional knowledge base and research culture surrounding its practice. It seeks to place the field’s development within the broader context of international sport studies from 1945 to 2020. It identifies as major influences the process of globalisation and the growth of international sport as a significant political and economic entity. Physical education is acknowledged as a common historical base for the three modern strands within contemporary sports studies – medical /and health science, high performance studies, and sports business management. Future developments are considered in the context of the current pandemic. Covid19 and the world’s response to it has impacted on some key dimensions which underpin the current global sports economy – namely easy and convenient travel and the gathering of crowds in the widespread consumption of live sport. It is suggested that this might cause a major reset in the conduct of elite sport and sport festivals. The continuing growth of the physical activity and health sector is predicted and in the context of the serious challenges facing the sporting sector a case is made for increased resources to be moved back into the educational study and practice of sport and physical activity as a universal good.

Abstract:
Purpose The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many instructors to rapidly shift to online/distance teaching. With a narrow preparation window, many instructors are at a loss of strategies that are both effective in responding to the crisis and compatible with their professional practices. One urgent need in classrooms at all levels is to support social reading of course materials. To fulfill this need, this paper aims to present a systematic literature review on using Web annotation in K-12 and higher education to provide practical and evidence-based recommendations for educators to incorporate social annotation in online teaching. Design/methodology/approach This paper presents a systematic literature review of the use of Web annotation in formal education. The authors reviewed 39 articles that met the inclusion criteria and extracted the following information from each article: level of education, subject area, learning theory, learning activity design, Web annotation technology, research methods and learning outcomes. Studies were further analyzed and synthesized by the genre of learning activity design. Findings The authors identified five types of social annotation activity design: processing domain-specific knowledge, supporting argumentation and inquiry, improving literacy skills, supporting instructor and peer assessment and connecting online learning spaces. In addition, the authors developed practical recommendations on setting pedagogical goals, selecting annotation tools, deciding instructor involvement and developing evaluation strategies. Originality/value This study provides a timely response to online/distance teaching under the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a hope that these identified application areas, in combination with four practical recommendations, would provide pragmatic and evidence-based support for educators to engage learners in reading, learning and connecting.

Abstract:
The article is dedicated to the issues of IFRS applied by public sector entities related to property, plant and equipment use as regard to their recognition, depreciation and derecognition. Specifying the general issue, our attention was focused on a certain range of aspects which are acquiring more and more importance in the activity of such kind of economic entities at both conceptual and action-oriented levels. A special consideration is given to some most challenging issues. Primarily, professional judgments implementation was required with the aim to select and apply accounting policy for assets obtained by state enterprises under the rights of economic management and permanent use which are specific legal regimes in post-Soviet countries. In its turn, it’s necessary to walk a line between IFRS and legislative acts of Ukraine’s requirements for addressing another issue concerning physically damaged, obsolescent, inoperable as a result of force-major without economic sense of recovery non-current assets derecognition. By means of applying a comparative analysis methodology, key differences regarding requirements towards depreciation policy of IAS 16 rules and National Accounting Standards 7 are discovered as well as its application by some public sector entities. It is discursive key components of property, plant and equipment depreciation policy with variable part which is being chosen voluntary by enterprise, namely, a depreciation method, useful life as well as salvage value. Having discovered the essence as well as advantages and disadvantages of key depreciation methods introduced by the above mentioned IAS, the dominant trends are revealed not just in Ukraine but in other countries including economically developed ones regarding, in particular, accelerated depreciation. Such kind of methods can be applied as an instrument of the state policy in the field of property, plant and equipment administration with the aim to accelerate their renovation and improve efficiency of performance . For further development above mentioned aspects, the consolidated approach in respect to property, plant and equipment decommission due to maintenance, modernization, modification, reconstruction or conservation through the prism of IFRS provisions and imperative rules of tax legislation of Ukraine is presented.

Abstract:
Abstract Dendritic cells (DCs) are well known as the most potent professional antigen presenting cells (APCs). Nonetheless, the use of these cells in immunotherapy has been limited due to the time consuming and laborious steps required to generate DCs from monocytes in vitro. Therefore, alternative APCs has drawn much attention because of their relative convenience in manipulation. In this study, the efficacy of B cells as APCs, as compared to DCs, in induction of cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) against cytomegalovirus (CMV)-specific antigens was evaluated. B cells were isolated by depletion of peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMCs) from healthy individuals with MACS system, loaded with α-galactosylceramide (α-GalCer) for inducing B cell activation, and nucleofected with CMV-antigen coding plasmid DNA, pCK-pp65-IRES-IE1. As other APCs, monocyte-derived DCs were induced with various cytokines (GM-CSF, IL-4, IL-1b, TNF-a), for 6 days and nucleofected with the same plasmid DNA. Ag-nucleofected B cells or DCs were cocultured with T cells for 14 days in vitro. The cells were harvested and subsequently immunoassayed. Proliferation of cells was more expanded by about 25~32% in CMV-CTLs induced by DCs compared to of B cells, but there was no significant difference in immunogenicity between CMV-CTLs induced with B cells and DCs. Compared to CMV-CTLs induced by DCs, the CTLs induced by α-GalCer-loaded B cells induced similar cytotoxicity against CMV antigen (Ag) in vitro. The CMV-CTLs by α-GalCer-loaded B cells recognized CMV antigen pp65 (median 88 SFC/105) and IE-1 (median 86 SFC/105) in donor 1, and CMV antigen pp65 (median 31 SFC/105) and IE-1 (median 37 SFC/105) in donor 2. Similarly, the CMV-CTLs by DCs recognized CMV antigen pp65 (median 133 SFC/105) and IE-1 (median 32 SFC/105) in donor 1, and CMV antigen pp65 (median 37 SFC/105) and IE-1 (median 43 SFC/105) in donor 2. Immunogenicities of both CTLs were similar not only on IFN-γ ELISPOT (Enzyme-linked immunospot) assay but also on cytotoxicity assay. The CMV-CTLs by α-GalCer-loaded B cells have killing activity against CMV antigen pp65 (100%, at E:T ratio 10:1) and IE1 (85%, at E:T ratio 10:1) in donor 1, and CMV antigen pp65 (69%, at E:T ratio 10:1) and IE1 (27%, at E:T ratio 10:1) in donor 2. Also, the CMV-CTLs by DCs show killing activity against CMV antigen pp65 (100%, at E:T ratio 10:1) and IE1 (42%, at E:T ratio 10:1) in donor 1, and CMV antigen pp65 (88%, at E:T ratio 10:1) and IE1 (64%, at E:T ratio 10:1) in donor 2. These observations suggest that α-GalCer-loaded B cells could be used in general as APCs instead of DCs. Using the B cells as APCs have several benefits such as cost-effectiveness, less time-consuming, and less laborious compared to when DCs are used. Furthermore, nucleofection technique might be useful in delivering antigen-coding DNA, not only for virus antigens but also for tumor antigens, directly into the nucleus. Our results demonstrate that α-GalCer-loaded B cells could be potent APCs in generating antigen-specific CTLs for cellular vaccines and adoptive immunotherapy. Abstract:
Although species expertise, professional judgment, and scientific literature pave the way for making determinations of effects, the vastness of the Deepwater Horizon Incident response inspired a systematic approach. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Endangered Species Act Biological Assessment (BA) for this response began with the development of ecological models for each of the listed species potentially affected by the response. These models are tabular and connect individual strands of logic, referred to as effects pathways, which relate a potential cleanup activity to the anticipated species response. Effects pathways cannot be used alone, as they are inherently isolated and independent of any response action data. To bring the effects pathways into the context of the actual cleanup effort, a forensic geographically aware action record was generated. This record was primarily built using prescriptions for cleanup, known as Shoreline Cleanup Recommendations (STRs), Incident Command System (ICS) Forms, and Best Management Practices (BMP) Checklists. The combination of effects pathways and the action record was completed using table joining techniques. The anticipated species responses to actions were then used to create a series of heat maps. These show the accumulation of species responses along the landscape based on temporal components of activities, such as frequency and intensity. These maps provide a visual means of consuming the vast occurrences of the response to facilitate the effects analysis of the BA.

Abstract:
The purpose of the study is to reflect differences in approaches to determining the competence of experts and specialists in domestic forensic expertise and based on international standards for forensic examination. According to the international standard, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories”, competence is determined by the demonstrated ability to apply knowledge and/or skills and personal qualities. An attempt has been made to adapt this formulation to the realities of the Russian forensic activities. Also – based on a standard approach – consideration has been given to the issue of specialized knowledge in the field of trades and crafts, as well as opportunities to determine the level of expertise have been discussed considering two possible professional situations: individuals who have passed state certification procedures relating to their trades or crafts, and individuals working in their trades or crafts without having received such certification. International standards for forensic examination and comments thereto, foreign expert practice, publications on domestic forensic expertise and the procedural codes of the Russian Federation have served as materials for the research. The methods of the general theory of forensic examination have been used in the process of research, which are comparative analysis, abstraction and modeling and legal analysis. Regarding people with special knowledge the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories” demonstrates the breadth and universality of an approach to their competent activity. What is important here is the demonstrated ability to apply knowledge and/or skills, as shown by a specialist or expert at the time of competence assessment or verification within the framework of forensic laboratory accreditation. A situation when there is equality of knowledge and/or skills and personal qualities can be adapted (to some extent and without significant adjustments) to the Russian realities in forensic activities. For example, in areas of application of specialized knowledge such as skilled trades or crafts or in narrowly specialized or rare spheres of human activity. The various formulations of the term “competence” contain one unchanging feature – the obligatory verification of the level of knowledge and skills. The mechanisms that have been developed through practice to verify the competence of experts and specialists can be supplemented by the capabilities provided by standards. Assessing an expert’s competence taking into account the processes of standardization in forensic activities, currently pending updates to legislation on forensic activities in the Russian Federation and also foreign experience in the application of specialized knowledge in courts of the USA, will contribute to the formation of an integrated position of the Russian expert community and a better implementation of standardization into domestic science, as well as of the unification of rules for the forensic expert activity.

Abstract Jacinto, D., Cruz, T., Silva, T., and Castro, J. J. 2010. Stalked barnacle (Pollicipes pollicipes) harvesting in the Berlengas Nature Reserve, Portugal: temporal variation and validation of logbook data. – ICES Journal of Marine Science, 67: 19–25. Stalked barnacle (Pollicipes pollicipes) exploitation at the Berlengas Nature Reserve, Portugal, by professional harvesters has been subject to specific regulation since 2000. The only available information on barnacle exploitation there comes from catch reports (logbooks) provided by the harvesters. We evaluated the quality of the logbook information, described the temporal patterns of P. pollicipes fishing effort from 2000 to 2006 based on the logbook data, and modelled the daily fishing effort in relation to variability in oceanographic conditions. Results suggest different levels of reliability for the information contained in the logbooks: (i) information on the date of harvest seems to be reliable because 83% of the observed harvest dates were also declared; (ii) information on the quantity harvested shows a large discrepancy (mean = 31.8%) between declared and observed amounts, but we believe it can be used to analyse temporal patterns of exploitation, because there was no systematic bias (under- and overreporting was to the same extent). The total quantity of barnacles harvested between 2000 and 2006 (∼16 t year−1) was closely related to the effort applied. Daily harvesting effort was considered a function of two predictive variables (significant wave height and tidal range) and of their interaction. Neither the harvesting activity nor the resource itself seems to be at risk of collapse if such levels of pressure are maintained, but efforts should be made to increase surveillance and monitoring within the marine protected area.

Abstract:
There are four stem cell (SC) transplant centers in Serbia that carry out their activities within the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT). They are positioned in the Clinical Center of Serbia, Military Medical Academy, Institute for Mother and Child Healthcare "Dr. Vukan Čupić" and in the Clinical Center of Vojvodina. The aim of this paper is to analyze the basic approaches and aspects, as well as main parameters and guidelines - related to the optimization of the functioning of SC transplantation centers. The existence of a competent and motivated professional employees of the transplant center, as well as an adequate operational locality/area and up to date equipments are imperative for the successful performance of this specific and complex procedure. The current tendency - and in the near future an obligation or requirement - is for each transplant center within the EBMT to be fully staffed and structurally equipped and ready to be included in the accreditation process by the Joint Accreditation Committee International. Begining the accreditation process implies, in addition to the implementation of education and training of employees, the establishment and implementation of specific quality control standards (ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 13485, ISO 13485: 2016, ISO 15189: 2007, ISO 17025, ISO / IEC 7025: 2005). The activity indicators of every transplant center have to be transparent and presented by: the number of treated patients, the rate of transplant mortality, the duration and quality of patient's lives. Also important parameters are various methods of economic analyses - different specific cost-benefit analyses. In conclusion, in order to achieve consistent/comparable therapeutic effects and outcomes for patients globally - it is imperative that transplant centers and related organizations work together on the quality system assurance, using a continuous and adequate "educational and organizational-structural models".
