Abstract:
ABSTRACT Doctor patient relationship which in olden days was a highly revered one has undergone considerable change due to the greater awareness among patients regarding their rights and easy access to litigation process. The profession which was considered the most humble one has transformed into a service and falls under the purview of Consumer Protection act. Informed consent is a concept which gives the person right to pick and choose from the different types of treatment modalities, right to voluntarily suffer any harm which may occur during treatment thereby also decreasing the burden of responsibility which falls upon the doctor's shoulders to pick the best treatment modality for his patient and to bear the brunt of patient and his relatives if something goes wrong. Thus informed consent is not just a legal formality but a mandate which guarantees not only the best treatment for the patient as per his choice but also safeguards a doctor against unnecessary litigations. Abstract:
The case study research strategy describes variations in the educational and professional trajectories of part-time students in comparison with their attitude to distance learning, the goal of higher education, and their professional future of the individual. This research strategy makes it possible to present distance learning as a modern educational trend. It has been determined that in the system of continuing education, distance learning is (1) a tool for changing a profession, (2) part of a well-thought-out career strategy, (3) a guarantee of employment, (4) a way to legitimize a professional status, (5) a form that facilitates obtaining a diploma of higher education, (6) “future education”, education for the future. The subjective meanings of distance education in connection with motivation, the purpose of training, the attitude of students to it are revealed. For students receiving higher education, this is “self-education,” for those whose goal is a diploma, it is “formality”, “superficial mastering of disciplines.” The authors conclude that the consideration of correspondence education in the context of continuity allows us to identify trends in individualization, diversification (the diversity and variability of educational programs, creating opportunities for choice), informatization, and individualization. An assessment of the prospects for extramural higher education based on the experience of forced distance learning (March-June 2020) is given.

As a result, the teachers said that they have problems in communication and classroom management because both they are inexperienced and they are working with small age children. To overcome these problems, they develop their own ways mostly with trial and error. In addition, in the process of pre-service teachers’ education, they feel lonely. In the process, they do not take any help from any experienced teacher or any other helping resources. Also, they claim that the pre-service teacher trainings do not serve for the aim, and the process is just a formality. It is offered that teachers might be adapted to the profession with the help of special professional trainings and quality mentoring programs.

Abstract:
Uber drivers in India are witnessing a slow emergence of everyday work formalization predominantly through their engagement with the Uber platform. If a vast segment of the informal employment sector in a country resembles gig work, can companies like Uber bring organizational ability and wage regularity to employment? Despite Uber's economic model being challenged on several labor fronts in scholarship from the global North, we argue everyday interactions with the Uber platform are ushering organized work practices and improved financial stability for drivers who formerly hail from the informal employment sector in India. The everyday driving for Uber is filtered through a conceptual and practical work model drivers gain with due experience of Uber's platform features. Our study uncovers the relationship between the controlling demands of the Uber platform and ensuing driver work adaptations. We present findings from a qualitative investigation of Uber ride-hailing services impacting drivers to 1. optimize earnings 2. link work effort to wages 3. converge towards platform compliance. We posit engaged and persistent interactions with the Uber platform bring structure and formality to the profession of driving for Indian Uber drivers.

Abstract:
This study aims to examine the typographical features of English and Indonesian languages in students’ text messages delivered to the lecturers and the sociopragmatic perspective of the features collected from respondents of diverse profession and education backgrounds. Content analysis is employed to conduct the study whose data are the typographical features identified in 1,521 students’ SMS and that of in 527 WhatsApp text messages and followed by a survey of sociopragmatic attitudes towards the features gathered from 223 respondents. The findings recognize the typographical features of emoticons, vowel deletion, letter deletion, rebus writings—letter deletion, number deletion, letter-number deletion, and images or symbols—and phonetic spelling. The features are employed in various approaches as identified in the ways letters are deleted in the initial, medial and final syllables of the words. Social factor and dimension analyses underpinning the sociopragmatic perspective of the features suggests that the students communicate with older participants in written mode about serious matters for informative function and that the students and lecturers are socially distant between subordinate to superior with high formality degree for referential function which is high information content and low affective content. This social factor and dimension implies the use of formal style which is in line with the respondents’ attitudes acknowledging the formal employment of the language in text messaging. Sociopragmatically, the typographical features are supposed to be used only when texting to the equally aged or younger participants, to the participants who are socially equal or lower with no distance, and for social communication functions or topics, not professional ones

Indonesia as a legal state that applies the basic principles of justice to all its people shows this by making special rules regarding human rights that are owned by everyone. One form of rights that everyone has is the right to get justice and be treated equally before the law, without discriminating against race, ethnicity, religion, or social status. So, everyone both rich and poor, has the right to get justice for the legal problems he faces, with that a legal aid agency (LBH) was formed which is regulated in Law Number 16 of 2011 concerning legal aid, the implementation of law enforcement in it (advocates) as well regulated in accordance with the rules in the code of ethics of the advocate profession. This LBH is tasked with guiding and providing legal assistance until the case is completed and the victim gets justice for their rights free of charge without being charged a fee. One of the LBH located in Jakarta, namely LBH APIK, focuses on handling legal issues against women, of the many cases, the most cases are cases of violence against women. LBH APIK Jakarta's role is to help Indonesian women understand what rights they should have as Indonesian citizens. However, there are still many pros and cons to the operation of LBH in Indonesia. Is it running effectively and really helping the people or is it just a formality institution, and this paper will discuss the effectiveness of one of the LBH's running and review in this discussion in accordance with the applicable legal rules.

Abstract:
AbstractProfessional attorneyship emerged in the Ottoman Empire in tandem with the consolidation of the Nizamiye (“regular”) court system during the late 19th century. This article analyzes the emergence of an Ottoman legal profession, emphasizing two developments. First, the Nizamiye courts advanced a formalist legal culture, exhibited, inter alia, by the expansion of legal procedure. Whereas the pre-19th century court of law was highly accessible to lay litigants, the proceduralization of court proceedings in the 19th century limited the legibility of the judicial experience to legal experts, rendering legal counseling almost indispensible in civil and criminal litigation. Second, the reformers made efforts to render state-granted legal license a sign of professional competence, presenting a formal distinction between the old “agents” (vekils), who lacked formal legal training, and the professional “trial attorneys” (dava vekils). In practice, however, lawyers of both categories had to adapt to the Nizamiye formalist culture.

Abstract:
The popularization of the digital humanities and the return to formalism are overdetermined by the perceived crises in the humanities. On the one hand, the new formalism harks back to a professionalizing strategy begun by the New Critics with John Crowe Ransom's “Criticism, Inc.,” drawing strength from close reading's original polemic against industrialism. On the other hand, the digital humanities reimagine professional labor in ways that seemingly approximate postindustrial norms. These contradictory but inextricably related visions of professional futures restage a conflict between literature and data, reading and making, that has been misrecognized as a conflict between literature and history. Approaching these tensions by way of historicist critique can illuminate the extent to which the debate between literature and data will define critical practice in the twenty-first century.

Abstract:
This article discusses formalization processes in the context of urban conflict, focusing on the ways adversarial power relations dictate methods and outcomes of formalization. Based on analysis of the formalization of public transport in ethno-nationally contested Jerusalem, the article demonstrates the production of a mode of formalization, which the author terms sub-formalization. This mode is characterized by severe deviation from professional and administrative norms, both in methods and outcomes, and usually results in inferior solutions and irregular arrangements for challenging informality. In sub-formalization, modern rationality – which constructs planners’ professional authority – is eroded by powers from above and below. Therefore sub-formality represents a mutation of modern, rational, West-oriented planning, coming as a result of the encounter with informality and resistance in a way that blurs dichotomization between the formal and informal. In the context of an ongoing urban conflict, as in the case of East Jerusalem, sub-formality is also utilized by the state to maintain urban marginality and secure existing power hierarchies.

Abstract:
This article is aimed at studying the factors of increasing effectiveness of personal activity in the process of formation of professional identity in the modern sociocultural conditions by means of creating a strategy of socializing capabilities of the society. The process of formation of professional identity of a person represents an integrative cross-disciplinary object of research. In a broad sense, its relevance is defined by the need to design a scientifically substantiated model of interaction between the civil society institutions and the government as the leading socialization agents for the purpose of increasing its effectiveness. For social science, relevant remains the objective and comprehensive assessment of the processes unfolding within youth environment, which develop under the influence of global and regional, economic and political, social and legal, cultural and socio-psychological factors. The novelty of this article is determined by the insufficient elaboration of systemic analysis of the indicated problematic, with involvement of modern technologies for structuring and modeling of the social processes and professional socialization of a person. The uniqueness consists in the ability to preliminarily create the essential information base and formalize the acquired knowledge on the expert level. This would allow giving a more accurate assessment to the peculiarities of social processes that contribute to the conscious choice of a profession, and based on that build a model for improving the efficiency of personal activity in the process of formation of professional identity within modern sociocultural environment.

Abstract:
The article presents the results of the study of the range of socioeconomic factors for the creation of an educational environment in Ukrainian higher educational institutions (universities) as a condition for the formation of professional competencies of future specialists in socionomic professions. It is established that these factors form the multiplication effect of the influence of the educational environment on the effectiveness of students' acquisition of professional competencies. The basic conditions and obstacles to the effective functioning of the educational environment are established. It is stated that the transience of changes in factors necessitates constant transformations, which requires special attention to ensuring a new characteristic of the stability of universities, which is to ensure adaptability to changes. It is stated that one of the tools for ensuring their adaptability to changes and stability of work is the formation of an educational environment. It is stated that the development of digital technologies forms the preconditions for creating an educational environment in a virtual environment, which leads to an increase in social contacts, creates new incentives for the formation of professional qualities, in particular, through the acquisition of the educational process of the emotional component. This emotional component contributes to the prolongation of social contacts of graduates with universities and with acquired by friends and after the period of study. It is noted that students' practical skills can be compatible with additional funding for both the educational environment and universities. For this purpose, it is recommended to form a research component of the educational process, in particular, the use of a tool for startups and business ecosystems. It is proved that increasing the level of their own professional competence and acquisition of professional qualities should occur in two interrelated areas - acquisition of students' self-education and self-education skills. It is noted that the task of universities in these areas is to: instil students' understanding of the importance of self-education; acquire the skills of adequate permanent assessment of yourself and your level of professional competencies; acquiring cooperation skills. Abstract:
The purpose of the article is a comprehensive analysis of the issue of the judge’s interpretive activity from the standpoint of the judge’s cognition in such a process of unchangeable dualism of the factual circumstances of the case and the norm of the law. To achieve this goal, such methods as dialectic, comparative, formal-logical, communicative and phenomenological was used. The article deals with the approach according to which the judge's interpretive activity during professional occupation is a necessary method of specifying the content of abstract, relatively defined legal norms; and these norms become applicable in solving certain debatable questions. It is concluded that the judge creates the search for the best solution of a particular legal position. Reconciling the uniqueness of the law case and the formality of the legislative provisions resolving case is impossible without interpretive activity. One of the peculiarities of the dynamics of the interpretive activity of the European Court of Human Rights is its intellectual and creative nature; mechanical transformation of the norms of law into individual acts and "stereotype" application of previous court decisions are not admissible. The judge's interpretive activity combines rational-technical and existential-semantic levels, which necessitates a high level of personal and professional maturity of the judge. The problem of interpretation is not only technical skills in legislative provisions; it covers an important "standpoint" of the reality based on the professional experience and legal consciousness.

However, CCing in business email has remained vastly underresearched in workplace discourse literature, a gap this article seeks to address. We explore the functions of CCing in workplace emails and the way formality is negotiated by writers in one organization. We draw on the analysis of email chains and discourse-based interviews and show that employees strategically project professional achievements and assume and deny responsibility for company decisions as they shift between the sender/receiver positions in the chain.

Abstract:
Education of children with special educational needs (SEN) in Ukraine continues to find the ways of its realization under the conditions of the deficit of different supportive factors, among them – provision of the specialists. There is no position in Ukrainian schools, which would deal with the issues of inclusive education on the competent basis. At the same time there are several similar positions in the US schools (special education teacher, case-manager) as well as there is a position, which is directly related to coordination activities – Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). We believe that existence of the position of coordinator in the support team is one of the main conditions of coordinated work of the support team, which would provide continuity in the process of education, upbringing and socialization of the person with special educational needs. The article provides generalization of the main directions of activities of such a coordinator according to the professional profile and offers the assumption regarding the possible coordination role, which could be conducted by one of the members of the support team in Ukrainian schools. The article provides analysis of the existing legal and scientific-methodological materials, focused on the issue of the support team as well as the issue of coordinator of such a support. The lack of Ukrainian educators` awareness on the content of the team interactions and the role of the coordinator is defined, which became a condition to formulate a need to withdraw from the formalism and to look for the real coordinator, who would deal not only with the issues of learning of persons with special educational needs, but will be capable of introducing the culture of inclusive educational environment development, which would be barriers-free, supportive and developmental for all participants of educational process. In this process professional profile of Special Educational Needs Coordinator became the main guide regarding the defining process of the content of activities of this coordinator. According to this profile the specialist has to influence the school policy towards inclusive education, to assess the needs of children with SEN, to monitor their development, to train teachers and to coordinate their activities, and to support families of children with SEN. We analyzed how some of these coordinator`s functions can be realized in Ukraine, and we emphasized that these functions can be brought to life by other team members in the process of providing support to children with SEN. However, we hope that the special teacher – the new profession, which was introduced into Ukrainian classificatory of professions recently, would be the best option for this role.

Abstract:
Context: The purpose of this review is to assess leadership education and practice in athletic training. Leadership is a critical component of athletic training and health care. Leadership research in athletic training is dramatically behind other health care professions. Objective: To develop a model for integrating leadership behavior and education into clinical practice and athletic training education that is based on review of leadership literature within athletic training and to introduce a conceptual framework from which to base future dialogue and by which to describe and assess the demonstration of leadership within athletic training. Data Source: PubMed and CINAHL served as the data sources for the allied health fields and were limited to athletic training and nursing. Other data sources included EBSCO Business Source Complete, ERIC, and leadership and management texts. Data Synthesis: The role and presence of leadership behaviors and skills in athletic training journals were reviewed and summarized. A general overview of the various leadership theories is presented. Conclusions: Leadership behavior can facilitate the transfer of professional behavior and performance from classroom to clinical practice; however, leadership may be perceived to be less important than clinical skills. A model for integrating leadership into athletic training is presented with implications for practice. As athletic training continues to evolve, the need to formalize leadership development for athletic trainers may be warranted. Focusing on the structure and function of leadership behaviors and content may help advance athletic training and align it with other health professions relative to leadership research.

That goal should be reached through the diminishing of informality with incentives to those in the informal economy. These incentives to formality include reduction of income tax, simplification of procedures, access to social security with special fees and credit at preferential rates as well as training to improve business processes. We found that far from increasing the base of taxpayers’ natural persons with Business and Professional Activities the same base has decreased by 9.39% since the Fiscal Reform in 2014.

Abstract:
Based on the results of limited discussions with teachers at SD Negeri 1 Sabahlioh it is known that the low professionalism of teachers is possible for several reasons, including: (1) low awareness of teachers to update their knowledge even though they have been appointed teachers for a long time, (2) opportunities for teachers to attend training -professional training is very limited, both in terms of quantity and intensity, (3) teacher meetings are less active, (4) educational supervision aimed at improving the learning process tends to focus on administrative aspects, and (5) credit for functional teacher positions which is intended to spur teacher performance in practice is only a formality. Based on the background of the problems above, the formulation of the problem in this research is: How to Improve Teachers' Capabilities in Making Learning Effective through the Teacher Professional Development Program and Class Supervision at SD Negeri 1 Sabahlioh. The aims of this study were: to improve teachers' ability to make learning effective through a teacher professional development program and class supervision at SD Negeri 1 Sabahlioh. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 1 Sabahlioh, Academic Year 2022/2023 with 12 class teachers as subjects. This research is a school action research conducted for three cycles. The application of a combination of the professional approach and the author's approach to teaching supervision using formal meeting techniques and techniques using student opinions can optimally increase the commitment of Sabahlioh 1 Public Elementary School teachers in carrying out the teaching and learning process. Through descriptive analysis, the results showed that 91.67% of teachers experienced an increase in commitment (from C to B or from B to A). Abstract:
AimThere is increasing recognition of the centrality schools have in supporting children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing, and the role of educational psychologists (EPs) in supporting this. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a frequently-used, evidence-based approach for supporting a range of outcomes. The purpose of this study is to explore how EPs are operationalising CBT in their practice, and which therapeutic competencies are demonstrated.MethodSemi-structured interviews were completed with a self-selecting sample of eight EPs reporting to be knowledgeable about CBT and to regularly use it in their practice. Transcribed data were analysed using inductive and deductive thematic analysis.FindingsKey themes related to CBT in applied practice, the EP role, drawing on other psychological approaches, ethical practice, external influences and having a holistic view of the child. EPs were using CBT across a continuum of formality in therapeutic work and multi-faceted casework. A range of CBT competencies was demonstrated in practice with children and young people, and adults.LimitationsAs an exploratory research study the sample size was very small. The self-selecting sample does not claim to be representative of the wider EP population. The extent to which findings enable an understanding of the effectiveness of CBT within wider EP practice is extremely limited.ConclusionsThe flexibility of CBT as a therapeutic modality gives insight into its potential wider contribution across EP practice. Potential implications for EP professional training and practice are considered.

Public relations are fundamental in organisations to establish an adequate relationship between the company and its public, and in the field of relations with public authorities, lobbying has become a very important activity. Two types of action can be distinguished: direct lobbying and grassroots lobbying. The aim of this research is to determine the professional and academic profiles of Spanish lobbyists to determine which type of activity is most common. To achieve this, the professional profiles of 370 Spanish lobbyists were analysed on LinkedIn, and a questionnaire was sent to them to find out about their experience, academic background, and typical activities. The results indicate that Spanish lobbyists are organised around companies and consultancies specialising in political communication and communication advice. The need to formalise lobbying activity, explain its tasks, recognise the exercise of influence, and establish an official register is highlighted. Regarding academic training, new Spanish lobbyists have studied Communication with postgraduate degrees in Political Science and Sociology rather than legal studies, as previously thought. There is also a growing presence of women in this field. In addition, it was determined that 88% of Spanish lobbyists focus on direct lobbying, and only 12% focus on grassroots lobbying.

Reinventing government is the first step in transforming public organization to be more professional and efficient by creating and improving the workers’ quality (Osborne & Gaebler, 2014). Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the correlation of workers’ attitudes towards reward and punishment linked to organizational commitment. The 276 samples were obtained using cluster sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The results showed that the variables are inversely correlated. The workers are unsatisfied with the current rewards and punishment system. The implementation of reward and punishment’s regulations are only as formality, subjective, and it does not meet the aspect of fairness. Researcher suggests to conduct a more objective assessment of the workers’ performance. Keywords: Attitude, Reward, Punishment, Organizational Commitment, Organization Behavior, Government Workers.

Abstract:
Present-day social sphere of the Russian Federation employs over 14.4 million workers; the majority (about 5.2 mln) are occupied in the educational sphere and another 3.9 mln — in the spheres of public health and social services. Remuneration of labor system for those occupied in state federal institutions is established based on the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation №583 as of 5th August of 2008. Introduction of the new system has had a positive affect on the dynamics in government (municipal) employees’ compensation. Still, as the evidence shows, even the new system of remuneration fails to solve the problem of performance-contingent motivation for all categories of institutions. Ii is observed that in many cases performance indicators and criteria are not properly developed and are applied as a mere formality. In many public institutions incentive rewards are paid as a guaranteed part of compensation without any relation to the results of work. This is largely due to the extremely low tariff rates at the public institutions and their low competitiveness at local labor markets. As a result public institutions have to reward workers regardless of their performance results to retain manpower. The author concludes that remuneration of labor systems should be adapted to new conditions, aimed at the growth of appropriate industries, increase of services quality and maintain contingency between the public servants’ performance results and their compensation.

Abstract:
Ten years ago this October, the members of the political science community might have heard a short, but quite fascinating, cri de coeurabout the prevailing practices of the discipline in the United States at the turn of the century. Circulating as an e-mail message shortly after the 2000 APSA Annual Meeting, it popped up in the inboxes of a few political scientists and graduate students throughout the academy, who then quickly redirected its message to hundreds and then thousands of their colleagues. Signed “Mr. Perestroika,” the e-mail's short passages bemoaned the profession of political science as it was unfolding under the allegedly misguided aegis of an “Orwellian system” of methodological formalism. Portraying the discipline as trapped in this intellectual cul de sac, Mr. Perestroika depicted an essentially degraded social science discipline that favored the political views of a “coterie” of “East Coast Brahmins” by ratifying their narrow methodological practices (cited in Monroe 2005, 9–11). Such practices, based mostly on “statistics or game theory,” wrongly promoted a simplistic and, for far too many students of the state and society, discredited economic understanding of politics. This unenviable methodological parochialism in turn favored a style of “professional correctness” that froze out other political perspectives and analytical approaches (Luke 1999, 345–63) in the discipline's key journals, major organizations, and scholarly practices. For Mr. Perestroika, these distorted academic norms were also compromising the relevance, utility, and validity of political science as an applied social science.

Fifty percent (50%) of librarians agreed on the importance of certification to improve quality of library human resources. Yet, some others considered that certification was not yet important because it was just a formality, as a condition for promotion and rank. Their actual purpose for joining certification was to get certification allowance. Since regulation on certification is not yet clear in terms of allowance and enforcement, some librarians were not very enthusiastic in joining certification.

Abstract:
Since the establishment of neoclassical economics in the nineteenth century, there has been a debate in the economics profession over the role played by mathematics. Mathematics can add precision to discussion of real-world empirical problems in economics, but care needs to be taken when formalizing a problem to ensure that errors of translation are not made. Formalism allows one to be sure that a chain of reasoning is correct but applying conclusions back to an empirical science problem is fraught if an error of translation has been made. We illustrate such a difficulty in the context of Arrow’s impossibility theorem, specifically the mistranslation of the non-dictatorship condition. The notion of dictatorship entails causality, but causality does not correspond to the usage of the implication sign in mathematics or logic. We use the rules of logic to illustrate that the way that dictatorship is rendered mathematically in the impossibility theorem makes the existence of a dictator (or dictators) not only reasonable but likely.

A solution like formalin used as a fixative has to be handled with lot of care and needs to be stored with utmost care. Negligence on part of the dental professional by accidentally injecting formalin instead of the local anesthetic can lead to permanent tissue damage and also may induce a life threatening situation. The operating dentist injected formalin accidentally instead of the local anesthetic and the patient experienced severe pain and burning sensation. The general practice of formalin being stored in the local anesthetic bottles and being assisted by untrained assistant is the most common reason for mishaps to happen. The dentist operating should be careful and aware of the drugs and chemicals being available in the operatory and re-check the solution being injected in the patient as to not land up in complications because of the negligence.

Abstract:
All judicial proceedings are inevitably based on the formalized procedures. Procedural provisions pursue many important objectives, such ensuring the effectiveness of proceedings or protecting legal certainty by regulating the competences of procedural bodies and the rights and duties of parties. At the same time, excessive procedural formalism may disproportionately limit the right to court, making access to court illusory. Within the framework of the European Convention on Human Rights, the permissible limits of procedural formalism are set by Article 6(1). The European Court of Human Rights, assessing whether excessive formalism has occurred in a given case, examines whether relevant formal requirements served a legitimate purpose, in particular legal certainty and proper administration of justice, and did not lead to a disproportionate restriction of the right of access to court. This assessment is made on the basis of all relevant circumstances of the case, such as the stage at which the proceedings were terminated, the type of proceedings, the party’s due diligence, the existence of circumstances justifying failure to comply with a formal requirement or the fact that the party was represented by a professional representative. Therefore, not only the content of national provisions is important, but also the manner of their application by courts.

The process of formation of the general professional competencies of future teachers is the subject of research by many domestic and foreign scientists, which come down to the updating of general professional competencies, the study of their essence and content, become the subject of planning in documents of state and strategic importance, are reflected in the development strategies of domestic and foreign education systems. The analysis of regulatory documents in the field of higher professional education of the Kyrgyz Republic and the analysis of the results of the final state certification of university graduates led to the conclusion that to date, a mechanism for assessing the level of competency formation is not sufficiently developed. A survey was conducted with employers, a conversation with schoolteachers, on the basis of which some facts were revealed that indicate a low level and even lack of formality of some competencies, from among both universal and professional competencies. Over the past five years, the task of effective innovative functioning of the domestic system of higher professional education has been positioned with particular acuteness, which is associated with a number of different reasons that inevitably occur at the educational level. And the requirements of employers to improve the quality of higher professional education and to carry out high-quality training of graduates from year to year become a leading guideline not only for employers, but also for consumers in the format of state and social orders. Sources are analyzed that made it possible to focus on the problems of teacher education that exist both in the domestic system and in the countries of the post-Soviet space. For the formation of the general professional competencies of future history teachers, it is important to develop modern mechanisms for implementing this process that would meet the requirements of the basic skills of the 21st century in the context of person-centered education throughout life.

This limited understanding creates a gap between what accountants can do and what accountants should do to assist in Big Data information governance. The study aims to bridge this gap in two ways. Design/methodology/approach First, the study introduces a model of the Big Data life cycle to explain the process of converting Big Data into information. Knowledge of this life cycle is a first step toward enabling accountants to engage in Big Data information governance. Second, it highlights informational and control risks inherent to this life cycle, and identifies information governance activities and agents that can minimize these risks. Findings Because accountants have a strong ability to identify the informational and control needs of internal and external decision-makers, they should play a significant role in Big Data information governance. Originality/value This model of the Big Data life cycle and information governance provides a first attempt to formalize knowledge that accountants need in a new field of the accounting profession.

Abstract:
The Royal College of Psychiatrists has stressed that psychotherapy skills are seen as a core element of psychiatric practice. To formalise this a new set of guidelines for psychotherapy training as part of general professional psychiatric training was published in November 1993. Concerns have been expressed over the implementation of previous guidelines from 1986. We have surveyed the psychotherapy training experience in our area and have worked with the psychotherapy department to address the findings. The future of training in the psychotherapies and implementation of the most recent guidelines are considered.

Abstract:
The aim of this article is to discuss the forms of contemporary Lithuanian literary criticism in the context of more general cultural processes. The current situation, which still tends to be described as crisis, is brought about not only by the structure of the national literary field, the specifics of its historical development, or the local cultural policy, but also by universal factors, such as the epistemic, social, and institutional uncertainty that characterises professional literary criticism in general, and the so-called democratisation of culture, which has been accelerated by the emergence of social networks. The latter provide an opportunity for everyone to express their value judgements, disrupting the established hierarchies of critical evaluation and deepening the crisis of authority. This factor together with the meritocratic model that has taken root in the media, along with the commercialisation of publishing policy creates the conditions for the emergence of new ways of talking about literature, or what is known as ‘non-professional literary criticism’. Drawing on theory of New Formalism, I discuss the main types of professional and non-professional literary criticism, and their affordances, which foresees the social and cultural uses of literary criticism.

Abstract:
In this study, the authors argue for a more refined methodology in research on commercial arbitration. Drawing on new developments in international commercial arbitration, they seek to create a typology of various aspects of legal conflict resolution and, as a consequence, to increase the relevance of empirical work on this topic. The article identifies three key areas of tensions, which generate new developments in commercial arbitration and cannot be addressed from the perspective of the existing sociological paradigms. First, the tension between procedural formality and flexibility can be observed, as reflected in the well-established judicialization trend, combined with a recent renewed interest in mediation and ‘soft’ hybrid procedures. Second, the confluence of global and local factors (as seen in the American and Asian ‘waves’ in arbitration) affects, inter alia, the professional culture of arbitration practitioners. Finally, the tension between public and private interests and values, which influences procedural preferences and solutions in the field of commercial arbitration, can be identified.
