Abstract:
Our analysis of existing methods of production of organic fertilizers does not allow us to effectively solve the problem of reproduction of soil fertility. Computer simulation of the mixing process in the burts by various aggregates showed the extreme unevenness of the distribution of particles of the resulting compost. The assimilation of organic matter in the soil is less than 2%. The recently widespread method of composting in rotating drums leads to the release of ammonia, which indicates the ongoing process of ammonification, which means that the decomposition of organic matter under the influence of putrefactive, moldy and other microorganisms. The resulting compost causes some damage to the soil and crop. A new direction in the production of organic fertilizers is proposed, based on the cultivation of soil microorganisms in special rooms of the microbiological community. These microorganisms, in turn, produce enzymes that significantly accelerate the biochemical processes in the formation of soil humus.

Abstract:
Deep hole drilling is a process for the production of cylindrical bore holes with a large length to diameter ratio. The variation of parameters is limited to those ones of the conventional drilling process such as rotation and feed motion. A special deep hole drilling process, named “chamber-boring”, was developed for the production of contoured bore holes in axial direction [1]. For specific applications not only a contouring in axial direction is required but also a radial contouring is necessary. In the course of a ZIM – project (Central Innovation Programme for SMEs), supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and in close collaboration with the BGTB GmbH and the Institute of Machining Technology (ISF), a new “chamber boring system” which allows contouring of boreholes in axial and radial directions was developed. Based on this machining system, the manufacturing of pipes with a wavelike cross section in radial direction is possible.

Abstract:
Russia has not yet paid due attention to the issues of the transition to electric transport. Only in August 2021, the Russian Government approved a Concept for the development of production and use of electric road transport in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030. The aim of this study is analysis the Concept from the point of view of world experience in stimulating the development of the electric vehicle market. The study showed that the most elaborated directions of the Concept for the development of production and use of electric road transport in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030 are the direction of creating a national production of batteries and hydrogen fuel cells, as well as the direction of creating national production facilities and localizing foreign production of electric vehicles, including cars with hydrogen fuel cells. The least developed direction of the Concept is the direction of creating a national base for certification and testing of electric vehicles, which indicates the problem of a lack of competencies in the scientific and technical sphere.

Abstract:
This study aims to investigate the influence of the current direction on the energy production of a tidal turbines array. It is based on a three-dimensional (3D) numerical simulation of the flow where the turbines are represented with actuator disks. The case study consists of modelling the energy extraction of a small array of turbines (staggered and aligned layouts) placed in the Raz Blanchard (Alderney Race, France). The simulations are performed with hydrodynamic data (current magnitude and direction) representative of a mean tide, with several resistance forces and ambient turbulence intensities. The influence of the current direction on the energy production is highlighted by comparing the simulations forced with the real current direction with those in which the angle of incidence between the incoming flow and the turbine’s axis is “switched off” (bi-directional flow). When the flow is aligned with the turbines’ axis (misalignment “switched off”), the staggered layout produces more than the aligned arrangement. Comparison of the two types of simulations (misalignment switched off or not) shows that the misalignment of the flow around a predominant direction reduces the energy produced by the staggered layout and increases the production of the aligned layout. Furthermore, it suggests that the mean energy produced per machine is almost the same for both layouts. Higher turbulence intensity reduces the positive effect of the directional spreading on the aligned layout production and limits the negative effect on the staggered layout production.

Abstract:
This article focuses on evaluating the performance of a relatively new system of a ducted wind turbine with an omnidirectional capture system, the INVELOX system. In the present study, the improvement of such patented system has been developed by performing a detailed numerical analysis varying several geometrical parameters and analysing the effect of changing wind velocity and wind direction. At first, the model validation was performed and the performance of the original system against the wind direction changes was analysed observing that the highest speed ratios are obtained for two specific directions. Based on the previous results, the most critical features of the system have been identified, and then it has been approached a geometric improvement of the system aiming at increasing the system productivity. The results show there is a possibility to largely improve the overall design and extract more energy from the wind respect with the original design.

Abstract:
We report here the activity of 96 cells in primate primary motor cortex (MI) during exertion of isometric forces at the hand in constant spatial directions, while the hand was at five to nine different spatial locations on a plane. The discharge of nearly all cells varied significantly with both hand location and the direction of isometric force before and during force-ramp generation as well as during static force-hold. In addition, nearly all cells displayed changes in the variation of their activity with force direction at different hand locations. This change in relationship was often expressed in part as a change in the cell's directional tuning at different hand locations. Cell directional tuning tended to shift systematically with hand location even though the direction of static force output at the hand remained constant. These directional effects were less pronounced before the onset of force output than after force onset. Cells also often showed planar modulations of discharge level with hand location. Sixteen proximal arm muscles showed similar effects, reflecting how hand location-dependent biomechanical factors altered their task-related activity. These findings indicate that MI single-cell activity does not covary exclusively with the level and direction of net force output at the hand and provides further evidence that MI contributes to the transformation between extrinsic and intrinsic representations of motor output during isometric force production.

Abstract:
Abstract This work compares the performances of a Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine (HAWT) and a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) using Wall modeled Large Eddy Simulation (WMLES) coupled with an actuator line method. The wind turbines are located in the vicinity of a real size industrial building. Both wind turbines are sized to produce the same power at their respective optimum Tip Speed Ratio for a same incident wind speed. Two relevant incident wind directions (SW and SSW) are investigated, the influence of the building on the performance of the two wind turbines is also analysed. The results obtained show that the HAWT has a better overall performance compared to the VAWT. Overspeeds are observed for both directions analysed, due to the presence of the building which locally increases the flow velocity. However, these overspeeds remain low due to the low height of the building. The change of wind direction only slightly impacts the HAWT production, while the VAWT production remains insensitive. However, the presence of the building improves the global production of both wind turbines. Qualitatively, this change of wind direction induces a deviation in the wake of both turbines, which is greater for a SW direction.

Abstract:
SUMMARY Effect of different row directions on yield and yield components of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) was studied in a field experiment at National Agricultural Research Center, Islamabad, Pakistan, during spring 1991 and 1992. Four row directions, i.e., north-south (NS), east-west (EW), north eastsouth west (NESW) and north west-south east (NWSE) had very little effect on seed yield and other agronomic characters of sunflower. The differences in the mean plant height, head diameter, seed yield, 100-achene weight and fatty acid profile were statistically non-significant. Trends were similar in both years. As an average of the two years, although statistically non-significant, the highest seed yield of 3065 kg/ha was obtained from north east-south west (NESW) row direction and the lowest yield of 2624 kg/ha from east-west (EW) row direction. The most pronounced effect of row direction was noted on seed moisture content. As an average of the two years, the maximum seed moisture content at harvest (21.4%) was obtained from east-west (EW) row direction and the minimum (14.6%) from north-south (NS) row direction. NESW row direction also gave significantly lower moisture content (15.1%) than EW (21.4%) and NWSE (18.1%) row directions. Therefore, using north-south and NESW row directions would help the crop to dry more quickly before harvest and reduce post harvest costs and losses. Seed production fields that require examination of sunflower heads to detect pollen production should be planted in NS rows for efficient roguing to maintain genetic purity. For research plots, EW rows with plot labels on the east end are often preferred, because it is easier to evaluate most plots when all heads face the viewer.

Sergio, Lauren E. and John F. Kalaska. Systematic changes in directional tuning of motor cortex cell activity with hand location in the workspace during generation of static isometric forces in constant spatial directions. J. Neurophysiol. 78: 1170–1174, 1997. We examined the activity of 46 proximal-arm-related cells in the primary motor cortex (MI) during a task in which a monkey uses the arm to exert isometric forces at the hand in constant spatial directions while the hand is in one of nine different spatial locations on a plane. The discharge rate of all 46 cells was significantly affected by both hand location and by the direction of static force during the final static-force phase of the task. In addition, all cells showed a significant interaction between force direction and hand location. That is, there was a significant modulation in the relationship between cell activity and the direction of exerted force as a function of hand location. For many cells, this modulation was expressed in part as a systematic arclike shift in the cell's directional tuning at the different hand locations, even though the direction of static force output at the hand remained constant. These effects of hand location in the workspace indicate that the discharge of single MI cells does not covary exclusively with the level and direction of force output at the hand. Sixteen proximal-arm-related muscles showed similar effects in the task, reflecting their dependence on various mechanical factors that varied with hand location. The parallel changes found for both MI cell activity and muscle activity for static force production at different hand locations are further evidence that MI contributes to the transformation between extrinsic and intrinsic representations of limb movement.

Full text
Abstract:
In this paper the analysis of the processes for spontaneous decay of slags from the production of refined ferroalloy grades is performed. It is shown that the main reason for the decay is the formation of a dicalcium silicate in highly basic melts with CaO / SiO2 ratio of 1.5-3.1. Based on the performed studies, three main promising directions for the stabilization of slags of ferroalloy production have been formed. First direction is the replacement of the calcium cation (or transformation) in a dicalcium silicate, for example, with the magnesium cation or the production of non-decaying compounds of the gehlenite type (2CaO·Al2O3·SiO2), mainly due to the application of phase composition peculiarities of the waste rock for ferroalloy raw materials. Second direction is the reduction of the dicalcium silicate content with a decrease in the ratio of CaO / SiO2 in the slag less than 1.4, due to the separation of the silicothermic reduction process into two stages, obtaining in the first stage a low-basic (CaO / SiO2 = 1.3-1.4) non-decaying tailing slag, and on the second one - highly basic return slag (1.8-1.9), which is used in the first stage of this technological chain. The third direction is the replacement of the SiO anion of dicalcium silicate with other anions, for example, ВО by means of small additions of calcium borate, colemanite, etc. A possibility for stabilization of ferroalloy production slags with obtaining of construction crushed stone corresponding to the requirements of TU 0798-69-00186499-2014 "Crushed stone and sand from ferroalloy slags. Abstract:
The purpose of the research was a comparative evaluation of production and economic results of agricultural farms according to area, production direction and intensity of production. The agricultural farms were situated in the Przysucha district (Masovian Voivodship). Results were compared between farms classified as different production directions. Research was carried out in 100 agricultural farms located on light soils – rye complexes. The evaluation was carried out using selected production and economic indices. Information and source data from farms were acquired using direct interviews in the form of a questionnaire. Research objects were intentionally selected from farms from the Przysucha district. Farms were divided into groups with the help of particular evaluation criteria, such as: production specialization, farm area size and intensity of production. On the basis of the research conducted, it was stated that achieving better results depended primarily on the chosen production direction. Orchards and vegetable farms, classified as small farms, due to their type of production, were more intense and achieved a higher value of global commodity production per 1 ha of UAA and production commodity. Relations discovered by the research concern farm specialization and how a farm functions in specified organizational as well as economic conditions.

Abstract:
The research describes the field comparison of 81 decorative sunflower genotypes. In order to assess genetic diversity of sunflower genotypes the studies were conducted in the field conditions during 2010-2015 at the Institute of Field and Crops, Novi Sad, Serbia. The genetic diversity of species Helianthus annuus L. has enabled the breeding work in the direction of the decorating and plant landscaping. Depending on the qualitative and quantitative characteristics, production of decorative sunflowers can be divided into three directions. The first line is for the production of cut flowers, the second one is for garden production and the third line is for the production of pot plants. The direction of production dictates the main breeding objectives, which may include: plant architecture, the color of ray and disc flowers and duration of flowering. Investigation of the genetic variability of ornamental sunflowers relies on quantitative traits of which the greatest variability was observed in branching and plant height, which are also the most important qualities for production. The quantitative characteristics of decorative sunflowers have been examined on the basis of 81samples.

Abstract:
The scientific article reveals the problem of finding innovative approaches in solving the optimization problems of construction production. The perspective tendencies of harmonious possibilities in the optimization of production systems of construction are considered. The urgency of the issue of finding rational solutions in the multidimensional space of alternatives and the effective correlation of functional production subsystems in an environment of mutual influence has been substantiated. The main regularities of the work of metaeuristic optimization of the golden section, its ratio, levels, factors of influence are revealed. The considered scheme for finding the optimal solution based on the harmonious proportion of the geometric division of the segment. The ways of applying the principles of harmonious management in the management of building production systems in the direction of sustainable and logical development have been substantiated. The above study has shown that building production systems undergo an optimization platform in the process of their development and acquire a new progressive quality. When realizing its functions, fluctuations of the system determine the level of its organization, which corresponds to harmonious (sustainable) development. The use of the "golden proportion" in the management of construction production in combination with information technology contributes to the evolution and development of the structural diversity of production systems in a changing environment. The results of the study made it possible to reveal a harmonization approach in improving the interaction of the structural elements of production and accelerating their functional sensitivity to changes in the environment. A harmonious production system more effectively adapts to the multidirectional interests, goals and actions at all levels of management of various subsystems in any conditions. The prospect of the research leads to the scientific formation of algorithmic support for the processes of organizing and managing construction using metaeuristic methods, which will allow solving practical problems of optimal control of nonlinear dynamic production systems of construction.

The modern innovative economy is characterized by global transformation processes caused by revolutionary changes in the natural sciences, and, above all, in biological science. This is explained by the fact that biology has reached the molecular and subcellular level due to inter- and transdisciplinary approaches to its development, where a synergistic effect is achieved through the scientific cooperation of biology, economics, physics, chemistry, mathematics, cybernetics and information technology. Ultimately, this symbiosis led to the formation of a new direction in science - bioeconomy. The new direction is based on biotechnologies, which, as scientists note, are characterized by scientific diversity, since the development of biotechnologies depends on fundamental knowledge, practical skills and innovative technologies in other fields of science.

Abstract. Wind farm control strategies are being developed to mitigate wake losses in wind farms, increasing energy production. Wake steering is a type of wind farm control in which a wind turbine's yaw position is misaligned from the wind direction, causing its wake to deflect away from downstream turbines. Current modeling tools used to optimize and estimate energy gains from wake steering are designed to represent wakes for fixed wind directions. However, wake steering controllers must operate in dynamic wind conditions and a turbine's yaw position cannot perfectly track changing wind directions. Research has been conducted on robust wake steering control optimized for variable wind directions. In this paper, the design and analysis of a wake steering controller with wind direction variability is presented for a two-turbine array using the FLOw Redirection and Induction in Steady State (FLORIS) control-oriented wake model. First, the authors propose a method for modeling the turbulent and low-frequency components of the wind direction, where the slowly varying wind direction serves as the relevant input to the wake model. Next, we explain a procedure for finding optimal yaw offsets for dynamic wind conditions considering both wind direction and yaw position uncertainty. We then performed simulations with the optimal yaw offsets applied using a realistic yaw offset controller in conjunction with a baseline yaw controller, showing good agreement with the predicted energy gain using the probabilistic model. Using the Gaussian wake model in FLORIS as an example, we compared the performance of yaw offset controllers optimized for static and dynamic wind conditions for different turbine spacings and turbulence intensity values, assuming uniformly distributed wind directions. For a spacing of five rotor diameters and a turbulence intensity of 10 %, robust yaw offsets optimized for variable wind directions yielded an energy gain equivalent to 3.24 % of wake losses recovered, compared to 1.42 % of wake losses recovered with yaw offsets optimized for static wind directions. In general, accounting for wind direction variability in the yaw offset optimization process was found to improve energy production more as the separation distance increased, whereas the relative improvement remained roughly the same for the range of turbulence intensity values considered.

The distinctive success achieved by cinema, at the beginning of twentieth century, as a mass art with form and content, and the great power it has for recording and representing reality, on one hand, and the magical production power of images and subjects, most of it falls on the process of movie production, and the director appears as the first responsible of movies. When directing finds its path as a solid foundation in the world of movie making and cinema industry, then the outlook and idea of directors, as individuals or as groups, leads to up-rise of different studies of movie directing, where these studies constitute many principles and regulations of their own, which they build form and content of their films, and their influence will spread in the world of cinema extensively and become an important part of cinematic theories. Influences of these studies on movies and various cinematic productions of international directors can be seen and found, therefore in recent years we notice that Kurds were not exempt from these influences, and Kurdish movie directors were, directly or indirectly, making their movies under effects of these influences. These influences matched with the internal conditions of their people, their suffering, and their visions, according to message and content of the movies they include. On the other hand, due to the small budget required to produce a film, Kurdish filmmakers and directors need to make films with low cost and techniques and to be able to prove their imagination and ideas well.

Abstract:
The study aims to determine the effect of the cultivated area and the purchase price on the production of rice in the province of Al-Qadissiya - Iraq for the period (1990-2014). Johansen and Juseliusmethod is used to test the co-integration between the variables. Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) is employed to determine the direction of the causality between production and priceof rice, as well as between the production of rice and the area cultivated in the short and long run. The analysis of the results shows that there is a co-integration among the variables, and the direction of the relationship is a directional move from cultivated area to production of rice, and from price to production of rice in the short and long run. The study recommends to expand the cultivated area along with maintaining the farm and not to converted to other crops, in addition of determining the purchase price of the crop at the beginning of the agricultural season to ensure a good income for farmers in order to motivate them to increase production.

Abstract:
We explored changes in finger interaction in the process of healthy aging as a window into neural control strategies of natural movements. In particular, we quantified the amount of force produced by noninstructed fingers in different directions, the amount of force produced by the instructed finger orthogonally to the task direction, and the strength of multifinger synergies stabilizing the total force magnitude and direction during accurate force production. Healthy elderly participants performed accurate isometric force production tasks in five directions by individual fingers and by all four fingers acting together. Their data were compared with a dataset obtained in a similar earlier study of young subjects. Finger force vectors were measured using six-component force/torque sensors. Multifinger synergies were quantified using the framework of the uncontrolled manifold hypothesis. The elderly participants produced lower force magnitudes by noninstructed fingers and higher force magnitudes by instructed fingers in nontask directions. They showed strong synergies stabilizing the magnitude and direction of the total force vector. However, the synergy indexes were significantly lower than those observed in the earlier study of young subjects. The results are consistent with an earlier hypothesis of preferential weakening of intrinsic hand muscles with age. We interpret the findings as a shift in motor control from synergic to element-based, which may be causally linked to the documented progressive neuronal death at different levels of the neural axis.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is study and identification of the most promising trends and engineering solutions in order to improve resource saving and energy efficiency in the production of corundum on the basis of the conducted patent review on melting improvement and optimization. The ways to optimize the corundum production are considered in three directions from the point of view of energy saving. The first direction relates to the development of promising engineering developments. The latter are studied to select rational operating modes and determine the main factors affecting voltage surges during the technological process and useful product yield. Consideration is given to the conditions for reducing specific energy consumption and improvement of production environmental friendliness at all stages beginning from isothermal sintering of corundum, production of electrocorundum, fine corundum to single corundum crystals. The second direction is the optimization of corundum production at all stages for the development of an optimal control algorithm for the technological process. In this case the electricity consumption might be reduced by 10-12% as compared to current standards. The third direction is the development of engineering solutions involving the change of individual structural units of furnaces, namely, the use of modern components and new heat insulating materials, as well as the application of spent heat carriers as the sources of secondary energy resources and the introduction of additional controllers of the automated control system of the process. The analytical study has shown that the result of optimization should be upgraded designs of plants and electrical equipment, which can provide maximum electrochemical efficiency, and corresponding furnace tightness. Criteria for energy supply and energy quality making possible to stabilize furnace material balance and solve resource saving issues have been developed. These measures allow to reduce the loss of raw materials up to 20-25%, the specific energy consumption under the production of corundum by 2-3 thousand kWh per 1 t.

It is foreign trade that deals with the transaction of goods, including services, financial flows, and the movement of factors of production, like labor, capital, and entrepreneurship. The objective of the 15th plan for Nepal is to reduce the trade deficit by increasing production, managing imports, and diversifying trade on a country-wise and a goods-wise basis for export promotion and to maintain foreign exchange stability, external sector stability, and a targeted foreign exchange reserve. The purpose of this research is to assess the direction of Nepalese foreign trade. The author has not found the updated research work of the type. This is a descriptive study that uses secondary data. The analysis relies on simple mathematical tools such as ratios and percentages. The data clearly expresses a huge trade deficit. The rapidly increasing trade imbalance indicates that foreign trade policy needs to be evaluated and improved. In 2019/20, foreign trade in Nepal was adversely affected as compared to previous study years. Nepal's major trade partner is India in terms of imports, exports, trade balance, and total trade. In 2019/20, India's share of total exports stood at 71.8 percent, which was 64.6 percent last year. In total imports, India's share remained at 61.4 percent, as compared to 64.7 percent last year. The findings help the government of Nepal, researchers, practitioners, and learners to know the existing direction of foreign trade of Nepal.
