Abstract:

Le but de ce travail est d'évaluer la fiabilité de deux versions d'un test de terrain spécifique au football pour déterminer la vitesse maximale aérobie (VMA). Le test de Probst est effectué sur un circuit de 140 m incluant des changements de direction, avec des paliers de 280 m, 0,6 km/h d'augmentation et 30 s d'intervalles de récupération. Sa version adaptée respecte le même protocole, mais, avec des paliers stables de 2 mn et 1,2 km/h d'augmentation à chaque palier. La première étude montre que la version originale du test de Probst surestime significativement la VMA chez les footballeurs par rapport aux athlètes de demi-fond, en comparant ce test à deux épreuves classiques, à sa version alignée et à sa version sur tapis roulant. La seconde étude confirme cette surestimation et montre que notre version adaptée du test de Probst est très proche et bien corrélée avec la VMA obtenue par l'épreuve classique de détermination de la VMA sur tapis roulant en mesure directe chez les footballeurs. En conclusion, notre version adaptée du test de Probst et non sa version originale apparaît comme une épreuve de terrain fiable, spécifique au football et facilement utilisable pour estimer la VMA chez les footballeurs
The aim of the study is to test the accuracy of two versions of a specific soccer field test for assessing Maximal Aerobic Velocity (MAV). The original Probst field test consists in repetition of 280 m successive races including changes in direction separated by a 30s rest with an initial speed of 8. 4 km/h and a 0. 6 km/h increment at each stage. The adapted version is carried out with the same protocol but constant stages of 2 min length and a 1. 2 km/h increment at each stage. The first study demonstrates that the original version of the Probst field test overestimates significantly the maximal aerobic velocity in soccer players, but not in athletes of medium-distance race, in comparison with two classical tests, with an aligned version and with the same protocol that that of the test of Probst in laboratory. The second study confirms this overestimation and demonstrates that our adapted version is much closed and highly correlated with a maximal aerobic velocity obtained by a laboratory treadmill test in soccer players. In conclusion, our adapted version of the Probst test but not the original version appears as a reliable specific soccer field test and easily conductible for estimate the maximal aerobic velocity in soccer players

Abstract:

A complicação deleuze-proustiana é um horizonte de incidência e emergência de ideias sobre a questão do pensamento. A fim de fazer jus a este horizonte, a presente tese examina as duas partes do livro Proust et les signes, animada tanto pelo que nele incide, reconstituindo e discutindo as suas formulações conceituais, quanto pelo que dele emerge, combinando a fotografia da explicação com o cinema da experiência, duas noções que, disparadas e fomentadas pela complicação, orientam aqui o próprio ato de examinar: ideia foto-cinema. É que, em qualquer instância, pensar não é apenas compactar exposições lineares e estáticas: além de surgir disparado e fomentado pelos signos emitidos por um objeto, o pensamento se desenha na dupla face da fixação e do movimento. Quando a tarefa ordinária, que remete apenas a um emaranhado de escolhas habituais e quebradiças, expõe-se à imprevisibilidade de um encontro extraordinário, os disparadores e fomentadores, que não são o objeto, mas os seus signos, não produzem outra coisa senão um sentimento de obrigação, a necessidade de um trabalho do pensamento; tudo aí se desdobra num exercício que tanto tematiza o outro quanto se torna ele mesmo uma verdadeira prática, um funcionamento: tríplice fronteira, jazz, lentidão e excesso. A questão, pois, nunca é a de estritamente inventariar o que é, afinal, Deleuze com Proust, dominando-o com arcadas mãos, mas a de assumi-lo como um território íntimo de signos, propício para uma espécie de cultivo livre que se faz desigualmente sobre e com ele, dinâmica funcional invariavelmente desejada e perseguida.
The deleuzian-proustian complication is an occurrence and emergency horizon of ideas concerning thought. In order to do justice to this horizon, this thesis examines both parts of Proust et les signes, encouraged not only by what occurs on it, through reconstitution and discussion of its conceptual formulations, but also by what emerges of it, combining photography of explanation with cinema of experience, two notions that, triggered and fomented by complication, guide herein the very act of examining: photo-cinema idea. It is just that thought is, in any instance, not only about compacting linear and inert statements: apart from the fact that it arises triggered and fomented by signs emanating from an object, thought is drawn on the double side of fixation and movement. When the ordinary task, which only refers to a tangle of usual and brittle choices, exposes itself to the unpredictability of an extraordinary encounter, triggers and fomenters, which are not the object, but their signs, do not produce anything else but an obligation feeling, the need of mind work; everything there unfolds into an exercise that both broaches the other and turns itself into a real practice, an operation: triple border, jazz, slowness and excess. Therefore, the question is never about strictly inventorying what after all is Deleuze with Proust, mastering them with arched hands. It would be rather about assuming it as an intimate sign territory, fertile to a sort of free cultivation which unevenly makes itself about and with it, a functional dynamic invariably desired and pursued.

Abstract:

La question de l’influence primordiale de Carlyle sur Proust n’a jamais été abordée de manière profonde. Cette thèse a pour objet de combler cette lacune. Nous analysons en particulier le dialogue continu que tient Proust avec Les Héros et Sartor Resartus. Nous identifions à quel point ses réflexions sur ces lectures carlyliennes - dont le sujet principal est la recherche d’une nouvelle foi ou mythe créateur pour ces temps modernes et incroyants - sont présentes dans le portrait de l’artiste, et du monde, qu’il nous offre dans À la recherche du temps perdu. Le parcours du Narrateur qui se termine avec la redécouverte de « la foi dans les lettres » se construit dans un tissage dialogique où, (souvent s’inspirant de Ruskin), Proust réécrit les événements historiques, biographiques, et éthiques qui préoccupent Carlyle dans sa recherche de la « vérité », en leur donnant une plus grande valeur esthétique. S’inspirant du coté expérimental de Sartor Resartus, ainsi que des essais carlyliens sur l’histoire et la biographie, Proust refait de manière imaginaire le parcours littéraire de Carlyle même dans la construction de son Narrateur, qui ressemble par plusieurs aspects à un Carlyle transplanté dans un pays qu’il considérait, comme l’épitomé de la décadence. Ainsi, Proust peut réhabiliter l’aspect « romancier manqué » de Carlyle, qui s’est refugié dans les vies des « grands hommes » et l’histoire des « grands événements », quand le Narrateur prend conscience de la réconciliation entre la vie et l’art. Toutefois, c’est la justesse et la profondeur des observations carlyliennes sur l’art et sur la nature de l’artiste ainsi que l’incitation donnée par la description du développement d’une conscience artistique dans Sartor Resartus avec son ambigüité, son ironie, son dédoublement de la voix narrative et son affirmation que « l’idéal » se trouve « dans le méprisable actuel » qui inspire Proust le plus dans sa présentation du « portrait de l’artiste » qu’est À la recherche du temps perdu
In this thesis we attempt to treat for the first time the hitherto largely overlooked question of the primary importance of Carlyle as an influence on Proust. Basing our research on the dialogical relationship which Proust has continually with Heroes and Sartor Resartus, we trace the presence of his reflections on Carlyle’s writings, which are essentially concerned with the search for a new faith or creation myth in modern secular times, in the portrait of the artist in the world which is the subject of À la recherche du temps perdu. The Proustian Narrator becomes reunited with his faith in literature which he has lost over the years and eventually reconciles life and art. His journey to this point has been largely constructed on rewritings (inspired very often by Ruskin) of Carlylean texts dealing with History, Biography, and Ethics, where Proust redresses the importance of the aesthetic element which Carlyle increasingly renounces. Taking his inspiration from the experimental nature of Sartor Resartus, and from Carlyle’s historical and biographical writings, Proust also rewrites Carlyle’s personal trajectory in his portrait of his Narrator who bears a strong resemblance to a virtual Carlyle transplanted into a country which he considered, rather playfully, as the epitome of decadence. Proust can therefore, by purely literary methods, show that a writer’s reservoir of impressions comes not from the constant pursuit of “Truth”, or by writing the lives of others, but from having lived life, familial, intimate, and indeed social life. Even if Carlyle can be considered as a failed novelist, it’s the impact of his profound and heartfelt writings on what art is and on the nature of the artist, along with his innovative Sartor Resartus with its constant ironic undertones, its doubling of the narrative voice, its affirmation of the ideal in the everyday, which most inspires the imitative and spiritual portrait of an artist which is À la recherche du temps perdu.
