Abstract:
The article considers the problem of the syntactic status of inversion. The material of the research is the simple sentences-utterances of the Ukrainian language. The concept of communicative inversion and the concept of formal inversion are defined. These concepts reflect different aspects of the division of a sentence – by communicative components (for example, rheme + theme) and by the members of a sentence (for example, predicate + subject). Two meanings of the concept of communicative inversion are defined: firstly, communicative inversion is the intonational-positional transfer of the most important semantic-informational part of a sentence (or the words of the syntactic group, or syntagma) from the final position to the initial or middle position (method of forming the utterance); secondly, communicative inversion is a sentence structure opposed to the basic structure as a derivative (expressive utterance). Communicative analysis shows that formal inversion is functionally subordinated to the communicative structure of the sentence-utterance. It serves as the main method of forming contextually dependent utter-ances (changes the actual division of a sentence). Formal inversion is optional in expressive utterances. The result of the study is the classification of the main types of basic sentences-utterances and the methods of forming communicative inversion (full and partial) in the Ukrainian language. The typology is implemented according to the following principles: communicative non-division / division, contextual independence / dependence of utterances, correlation of communicative components with the members of a sentence or connections of the members of a sentence. The first type combines basic sentences-utterances with an undivided predicative group. The second type includes basic sentences with a divided predicative group.

Abstract:
The problem of studying text concepts takes an important place among other types of conceptual studies. The usage of the term "concept" in the study of texts is caused by the need for it for the analysis of text-based principles of the work, identification of author's conceptual priorities, leading themes and ideas, deep text meanings etc. The organization of text's conceptual associations based on mutually related and interrelated elements goes beyond the lexical-semantic sphere. The conceptosphere of the New Testament is represented not only by lexical means, although they are the main building material for its creation. Morphological and syntactic means have a significant place among the concept-forming elements of the text of the New Testament. The study was conducted through the context-based generalization of the representation units of the most significant concepts of the New Testament: "Jesus Christ", "God", "Lord", "Father", "Faith", "Law", "Sin", "Salvation", "Grace", "Kingdom of Heaven", "Gospel", "Victim". Author had used method of field analysis, which is based on the analysis of the means providing the content order and connectivity of conceptual entities. The basis of systematization in conceptual fields is the linkage of key words – representatives of the morphology and syntax concepts and means. They acquire concept-forming properties when they are used in contexts for the formation of a certain conceptual feature and when they are repeatedly used in the text. The analysis of the verbalizers of the concepts, their connections and interaction in the studied work allows to make conclusions about the basic principles and regularities of the conceptualization of reality in the text of the New Testament. This study of its conceptosphere has demonstrated that the elements of its modeling have a significant representation in the spheres of morphology and syntax. The completeness of the reconstruction of an interpretive picture of its verbalization can be ensured by a comprehensive analysis of their conceptual-forming capabilities.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the current state of military-historical anthropology, first of all, the principles of development and implementation of the basic principles of the methodology of this scientific branch, and also outlines possible ways of its further development. One of the most important problems facing researchers who have devoted their work to the study of war as an anthropological phenomenon is the construction of a new coordinate system for setting actual research tasks. At present, a new stage in the development of military-historical anthropology is beginning, the stage of forming original methods. The article analyzes the validity of the use of such a concept of modern philosophical anthropology as “no-place”, presents the features and heuristic prospects for the transfer of this concept to the sphere of military anthropological knowledge, and outlines possible options for the development of the methodology of military historical anthropology.

Abstract:
Summaries in Afrikaans and English
The promotion of multi-cultural education and the upliftment of milieu disadvantaged children are closely related to each other, and is presently an important issue in the South African educational system. Poor knowledge of milieu disadvantaged children and multi-cultural education result in the loss of valuable learner potential and the non-fulfilment of the education policy. In this study, the promotion of self-actualisation of milieu disadvantaged children within a multi-cultural education system is discussed from a psychological-educational perspective. Attention is given to the problems and issues that play a defining role in the implementation of such an educational system. The influence of the environment en the development and functioning of milieu disadvantaged learners is investigated further. Qualitative research is done to identify the developmental areas where most problems occur. Finally, recommendations are made to the government, teachers and parents that ~an serve as guidelines to promote the selfactualisation of these learners.

Abstract:
This chapter deals with the general aspects of jurisdiction. It focuses on Brussels 2012 and Lugano 2007, since Hague is concerned only with one special kind of jurisdiction. It shows that Brussels 2012 and Lugano 2007 are highly structured instruments. They have been carefully designed to provide a system of jurisdiction which enables the EU to function almost as if it were a single juridical unit. Though it has its flaws, it nevertheless constitutes a remarkable intellectual achievement. The discussions cover the theory of jurisdiction, exclusive and non-exclusive jurisdiction, the basic structure of Brussels and Lugano, determination of domicile under Brussels and Lugano, concept of residence under Hague, determination of domicile under UK law, nationality, declarations of non-liability (negative declarations); and the courts ‘for a place’ and the courts ‘of a Member State’.

Abstract:
This chapter examines the role of the United Nations (UN) in fulfilling the concept of intergenerational equity as it relates to ocean governance. The concept of intergenerational equity is inexorably linked to the principle of sustainable development. Three basic principles underpin intergenerational equity: conservation of options, conservation of quality, and conservation of access. The chapter first considers the concept of intergenerational equity within the context of sustainable development and environmental protection before discussing international conventions and soft law instruments including the principle of intergenerational equity. It then explains how the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) takes into account intergenerational equity and goes on to review national and international case-law concerning intergenerational equity and the rights of future generations. It also analyses constitutional and institutional protection of the rights of future generations and concludes with an assessment of UN approaches addressing the needs of future generations.

Abstract:
The author of this book has long been known as a reformist or moderate Islamist thinker. In this book he argues that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights—in its broad outlines—meets with wide acceptance among Muslims if their interpretation of Islamic law is correct. Under his theory of the purposes of Shariʻa, justice and human welfare are not exclusive to Islamic governance, and the objectives of Islamic law can be advanced in multiple ways. The book examines the Western concept of freedom and the Islamic perspective on freedom and human rights, basic democratic principles, the basic principles of an Islamic political system, the concept of tyranny across three different schools of thought, and concludes with an examination of the solutions in Islamic thought that can curb state tyranny, for the benefit of freedom, justice, and the human rights of citizens.

Section I tries to identify some of the hallmarks of legitimate expectations, as a general concept, and to say something as to how it might be contrasted from the concept of reasonable expectations. Section II outlines key features of the legal doctrine of legitimate expectations, including the ostensible purpose of the doctrine, the distinction between procedural and substantive legitimate expectations, the scope of the doctrine, the circumstances, ways, or modes of legitimate expectations coming into being, the place of reliance, the distinction between intra vires and ultra vires governmental conduct, and the underpinning legal values, ideals, or standards. Section III sets the scene for the Responsibility-Based Account. Section IV introduces the question of remedies for frustrated legitimate expectations, distinguishes between four basic approaches, and defends an approach of liability. Finally, Section V articulates in more detail the idea of normatively supporting or grounding principles of administrative justice.

Abstract:
Handbook of Brain Microcircuits comprehensively illustrates how the concept of microcircuits is emerging as one of the major organizing principles of the nervous system. A major challenge in neuroscience is to synthesize multidisciplinary data to give insight into brain function. The organization of neurons into microcircuits has emerged as a main theme to accomplish this. The wiring diagrams for these microcircuits are increasingly serving as canonical representations that enhance understanding of the basic functional organization of a region, focus experimental and theoretical tests of its functional properties, and facilitate comparisons with other regions.

This chapter provides a review of extraversion, defined as a dimension of personality reflecting individual differences in the tendencies to experience and exhibit positive affect, assertive behavior, decisive thinking, and desires for social attention. Extraversion is one of five basic tendencies in the Five Factor Model (FFM) of personality. In the FFM, basic tendencies are conceptualized as including the following characteristics. They are organized hierarchically, based in biology, develop over time according to intrinsic maturation principles, are manifested in characteristic adaptations (i.e., are expressed in affective, behavioral, and cognitive tendencies), influence one’s objective biography, are reflected in the self-concept, and have both adaptive and maladaptive variants. This chapter is organized around the theory and research on extraversion relevant to each of the aforementioned characteristics.

Abstract The concept of Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) was established, back in the 1930s, to address “optimal” water management, mainly from a technical perspective, but also taking into account social goals, such as the fulfillment of basic needs and the total welfare of the population. The chapter provides a comprehensive overview of issues related to IWRM. After a discussion of the various economic dimensions of water, we establish a basic model to analyze the value of water under different social welfare objective functions, including the human right to water. The technical-economic model also addresses questions of eco-hydrology, water recycling, groundwater management, and water quality management. The chapter also addresses water allocation along rivers and water transfers between watersheds. The chapter includes exercises and suggestions for further reading.

Arterial spin labeling (ASL) MRI technique labels the endogenous blood water as freely diffusible tracers to measure perfusion quantitatively without relying on exogenous contrast agent. Therefore, it alleviates the safety concern involving gadolinium chelates. To obtain quantitative tissue perfusion information is particularly relevant for multisite and longitudinal imaging of living subjects. This chapter is based upon work from the PARENCHIMA COST Action, a community-driven network funded by the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) program of the European Union, which aims to improve the reproducibility and standardization of renal MRI biomarkers. This experimental protocol chapter is complemented by two separate chapters describing the basic concept and data analysis.

AbstractGerman public administration is rooted in the tradition of the Rechtsstaat, which aims at the protection of human dignity and individual freedom by providing rules, principles and institutions that ensure the prevention of arbitrary state action and the protection of individual rights. At supranational and international levels, the principle of the Rechtsstaat has been merging with the common law concept of the rule of law. A dynamic interpretation of the Basic Law (the German constitution) of 1949 by the Federal Constitutional Court has constantly specified and extended the normative scope of the fundamental rights, which are directly binding on the legislative, executive and judicial powers. The constitutional principle of the social state (Sozialstaat) has enhanced not only the dynamic evolution of the law, but also the creation of largely equivalent levels of infrastructure and services in the different territories of the German state.

Translational research turns fundamental new science and innovations into a product that has value to the public. The process is difficult because it combines a variety of diverse disciplines and skills from basic science, clinical medicine, engineering, business, public health, laws and regulations. These areas are so wide apart that it is very difficult to combine. The author has engaged in translational research since the early 1980’s and will describe the processes, pitfalls and rewards through typical examples from his projects that include: development of imaging monitored cryosurgery from concept to treatment of hundreds of thousands of patients, transgenes in food engineering from basic science to a twenty year wait for FDA approval, microelectroporation from basic concept to incorporation of the technology by numerous companies and non-thermal irreversible electroporation from basic concept to current clinical use in over 50 hospitals and over thousand treated patients.

Abstract:
The ecological concept, which is becoming more widespread in social research today, emphasizes the interdependence of people and their environment. With regard to the university space, the environmental factor is explored in the context of changes, which are associated with the spread of inclusion, the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the educational process on an equal basis. This process forms new horizontal connections and interactions, brings the factor of the value of interpersonal relations to the fore. The principles of social justice mean forming a social model of disability and developing the potential of this group, but this process is not straightforward and depends on subjective reasons, internal values of people. This is confirmed by the study of the level of subjective control of students, carried out on the basis of one of the Russian universities - TUSUR. The method of random sampling was used to pick up our respondents. The level of their subjective control was considered according to the scales of general internality, the degree of awareness of personal responsibility for the course of events, as well as in situations of success and failures. As a result of data processing, some facts were revealed. At least 60% of respondents have a high and medium level of internality, show themselves as being able to manage the situation, are responsible for their actions, are able to achieve goals and, even in a situation of personal failures, at least 32% of them retain high and medium level of subjective control. At the same time, from 1% to 12% are the persons with a high degree of externality, those who rely on external circumstances.

Abstract:
Networks of biomolecular unit cells are proposed as a new type of biologically inspired intelligent materials. These materials are derived from natural cellular mechanics and aim to improve current biologically-inspired technologies by recreating the desired systems from the basic building block of the natural world; the cell. The individual biomolecular unit cell is able to replicate natural cellular abilities through a combination of lipid bilayer membranes containing embedded proteins and peptides. While individual unit cells offer an ideal testing environment for demonstrating proofs of concept, more advanced abilities require larger networks, utilizing cell-to-cell interactions. The cell-to-cell interactions often involve multiple modes of communication, which have been identified for this paper as primarily electrical, chemical, and mechanical phenomenon. Previous modeling efforts have incorporated the electrical portion through equivalent circuit models, but these lack the ability to fully explain some of the network characteristics. A new formulation is presented here to illustrate how these three classes of phenomenon may be coupled to achieve various engineering design goals.

Abstract:
The flagship of modern geography is the modeling of geographical systems and the processes of their functioning, based on huge databases and algorithms for multidimensional computer modeling of the behavior of complex multiply connected systems. The modeling process itself is based on a powerful apparatus for mathematical analysis and statistical processing of the basic parameters of objects, based on which simulation models of their functioning and development are built. The river basin is the most widespread natural object on the land surface, which has distinct boundaries, structural organization, hierarchy, and relative isolation of matter and energy flows. In describing the structure of the catchment of a river system, ordinal classifications are traditionally applied. The ordinal classification of watercourses is based on the fundamental property of river flows to form a tree structure with successive merging with a stepwise increase in the main parameters of the system. The stability of the structure is supported by the continuous activity of powerful flows of matter and energy. The descending ordinal classification of R. Horton 7 was widely used, which was based on the proposition that unbranched elementary watercourses are similar under different conditions and should have the smallest 1st order, forming second order watercourses at the time how 2nd order watercourses form a 3rd order watercourse, etc. Also, Horton, based on an analysis of the structure of river networks and their basins, proposed the laws of correlation of the main characteristics of watercourses of different orders. Later, the Horton ordinal classification was finalized by A. Straler 6, who excluded the concept of the main river, which along its entire length has the maximum order, although it structurally consists of many differentorder segments. Classification data is now considered to be considered in a single context as the HortonStrahler classification. As early as the 19th century, the thesis was expressed that watersheds and thalwegs are the main structural lines of the relief and are closely interconnected 2, determining the distribution of matter and energy flows in the catchment. Using the classification of HortonStrahler watercourses, the principle of the classification of watersheds is proposed. Based on the authors methodology for processing digital elevation models (DEM) using GIS tools, the use of ordinal characteristics of watersheds was tested to obtain detailed information on variations of the main characteristics of singleorder elements of the river network depending on the order of the watershed within the Ussuri River Basin.

Abstract:
The article deals with the formation of informational and digital competence of high school students. First and foremost, the existing digitalization strategies for society already approved in the world and in Ukraine, including the implementation of STEM education and the Digital Agenda, are considered. On the other hand, attention is paid to the inconsistency of the level of ownership and frequency of use of digital technologies with the requirements of these initiatives. The concept of informational and digital competence is analyzed in detail. Existing publications identify key components, skills and competencies required to achieve this competence. A survey is conducted to better understand the current situation. One of the tasks is to determine the level of use of digital information in the classroom by teachers and in students’ preparation at home. The second task was to show how developing students’ informational and digital competence can be done by active introduction of existing software and hardware in the educational process in physics, in particular, a laboratory workshop. The example of laboratory work carried out in educational institutions shows how modern software can be used to analyze the movement of bodies and determine the physical characteristics of this movement. The concrete ways of performing laboratory work, analyzing its results and drawing conclusions are given. It is in the combination of existing teaching practices with modern gadgets, specialized and general programs that the basic way of forming informational and digital competence is seen. Further ways of modernization and improvement of described methods for increasing the level of information and digital competence are proposed.

Shpigel, Nahum Y., Ynte Schukken, and Ilan Rosenshine. Identification of genes involved in virulence of Escherichia coli mastitis by signature tagged mutagenesis. United States Department of Agriculture, January 2014. http://dx.doi.org/10.32747/2014.7699853.bard.

Full text
Abstract:
Mastitis, an inflammatory response of the mammary tissue to invading pathogenic bacteria, is the largest health problem in the dairy industry and is responsible for multibillion dollar economic losses. E. coli are a leading cause of acute mastitis in dairy animals worldwide and certainly in Israel and North America. The species E. coli comprises a highly heterogeneous group of pathogens, some of which are commensal residents of the gut, infecting the mammary gland after contamination of the teat skin from the environment. As compared to other gut microflora, mammary pathogenic E. coli (MPEC) may have undergone evolutionary adaptations that improve their fitness for colonization of the unique and varied environmental niches found within the mammary gland. These niches include competing microbes already present or accompanying the new colonizer, soluble and cellular antimicrobials in milk, and the innate immune response elicited by mammary cells and recruited immune cells. However, to date, no specific virulence factors have been identified in E. coli isolates associated with mastitis. The original overall research objective of this application was to develop a genome-wide, transposon-tagged mutant collection of MPEC strain P4 and to use this technology to identify E. coli genes that are specifically involved in mammary virulence and pathogenicity. In the course of the project we decided to take an alternative genome-wide approach and to use whole genomes bioinformatics analysis. Using genome sequencing and analysis of six MPEC strains, our studies have shown that type VI secretion system (T6SS) gene clusters were present in all these strains. Furthermore, using unbiased screening of MPEC strains for reduced colonization, fitness and virulence in the murine mastitis model, we have identified in MPEC P4-NR a new pathogenicity island (PAI-1) encoding the core components of T6SS and its hallmark effectors Hcp, VgrG and Rhs. Next, we have shown that specific deletions of T6SS genes reduced colonization, fitness and virulence in lactating mouse mammary glands. Our long-term goal is to understand the molecular mechanisms of host-pathogen interactions in the mammary gland and to relate these mechanisms to disease processes and pathogenesis. We have been able to achieve our research objectives to identify E. coli genes that are specifically involved in mammary virulence and pathogenicity. The project elucidated a new basic concept in host pathogen interaction of MPEC, which for the best of our knowledge was never described or investigated before. This research will help us to shed new light on principles behind the infection strategy of MPEC. The new targets now enable prevalence and epidemiology studies of T6SS in field strains of MPEC which might unveil new geographic, management and ecological risk factors. These will contribute to development of new approaches to treat and prevent mastitis by MPEC and perhaps other mammary pathogens. The use of antibiotics in farm animals and specifically to treat mastitis is gradually precluded and thus new treatment and prevention strategies are needed. Effective mastitis vaccines are currently not available, structural components and effectors of T6SS might be new targets for the development of novel vaccines and therapeutics.
