Bresching, Michaela. "Die Debatte um die französische und deutsche Identität in der Presseberichterstattung in Frankreich und Deutschland (1997-2012) : eine Wiederkehr des nationalen Mythos?" Electronic Thesis or Diss., Toulouse 2, 2020. http://www.theses.fr/2020TOU20082.
The main research areas are the debate on national identity and the national myth. The focus lies on the question how these terms were reflected in the print media in Germany and France from 1997 to 2012.It is to be considered that the Federal Republic of Germany of the 21 century relates less to myths than France where the different political camps continually reactivate personalities from the national history with the aim of giving its citizens a certain confidence in the future and to reinforce national identity. Since then the resulting debates have divided the political landscape of France.By analysing different discourse events the goal was to question if the debates on national identity go along with a return of the “national myth” which is understood in its meaning as a “roman national” that tells the story of the building and development of a nation. In this sense it is an identity-forming narration. The focus was set on the following events: the French presidential election campaign in 2007, the parliamentary election campaign for the Bundestag in 2005, the opening of an exhibition in the Deutsche Historische Museum in Berlin in 2006, the announcement of the foundation of a “Maison de l’Histoire de France” in 2009 and the Franco-German discourse event the 40th anniversary of the signing of Élysée-Treaty on 22 January 2003.It was proven that national myths were reconfirmed in the context of national discourse events, like the French presidential election campaign in 2007. During this campaign public and private actors tried to reactivate the “roman national” with the help of the media. While in Germany there were attempts to reanimate the founding myth of the FRG during the parliamentary election campaign for the Bundestag of 2005

Through an heterogenous corpus out of his thematic and his periodicity, we worked an analysis of content and discourse of Jeune Afrique and Nouvel Afrique Asie, two panafrican news magazine. This analysis is about the headlines on the front page that these news magazine consecrated to Benin, Congo, Cameroon and Ivory Coastin order to determine the evolution of democratic processus engaged in these countries at the beginning of 1990 decade. We suppose that , like in 1960, the four countries'independnce year, theirs leaders took over themselves the revival democratic that these countries live since the beginning of 1990 decade. We ask ourselves about panafrican press place in this processus. In the first part, we relate briefly the history of these countries since the independences until 80 end's years. In te second part, through national and international facts, we show how these countries choose democraty to the detriment of monolithic system. In the third part of the thesis, we analyze the content of headlines on the front page where we establish the discourse of Jeune Afrique and Nouvel Afrique Asie reporters about the countries of reference. This analysis is completed by the studying of a limited nomber of interview. This thesis try to identify the media logics those exist in order to determine the role panafrican press could play in a continent where democratic processus intensify

The french rock press of the Nineties remains attached to the mediation (resulting from the Sixties and Seventies) rock - rebellion of the youth. But this music is not any more exclusively appreciated by the young people (who often prefer other styles, while the former young people claim their right to appreciate it) and appears increasingly subjected to economic logics (thus far away from the original counter-cultural positions). This forces the writers to open their comprehension of rock and youth to new definitions more in agreement with the time : acceptance of the electronic music, ageing in the rock, etc. Besides this transformation of their subject of analysis, the journalists are confronted with another difficulty : this type of publications is above all an identity press, that the public purchase to find reference marks. The specialized press must convince its readers that precedings definitions (musical, but also sociocultural) that it used to diffuse must be questionned. This more especially as, at the end of the decade, the appearance of new technologies (democratization of the CD copy, downloads on the Internet) imposes a public discussion on the cost of musical creation, therefore a more significant media coverage of its economic requirements. This research work is structured around the analysis of the discursive arguments employed by the specialized journalists to give media coverage to this rock's change of identity
Saif, Youssouf Ahamada. "La médiatisation de la « crise migratoire » à Maore (Comores) consécutive à « l’immigration clandestine » (1995 – 2015) : approche pragmatiste de la constitution de la « crise migratoire » comme problème public." Electronic Thesis or Diss., Paris 3, 2023. http://www.theses.fr/2023PA030023.
This thesis studies according to a pragmatist point of view the media coverage as a public problem of the “migratory crisis” in Mayotte following “illegal immigration” which causes shipwrecks in the waters of Maore (Mayotte), an island of the Comoros under French administration. This thesis conceives the public problems as a sensitive human experience of a crisis of the collective situation carried out by individuals and associations who constitute themselves as publics and whose engagement of the latter in a dynamic of visibility of the problem that affects them will transform this one in an obvious preoccupation of the public authorities. In the constitution of the public problem of the migration crisis, the press plays a central role, in making visible the stories of adhesion, approval or indifference which bring together the different actors of this crisis. With a pragmatist approach, this study tries to answer this essential problem : How did the problem of the "migration crisis" in Maore come about ? How does the written press participate in this configuration and how does it represent the social conflict that has characterized it since its emergence in the public space ? What is the position of the French and Comorian press in the treatment of the “migration crisis” in Maore and on the establishment of the “Visa Balladur”, responsible for more than 10,000 deaths between 1995 and 2012. The fundamental hypothesis of our reflection is that public problems, such as that of the “migration crisis” in Mahora, constitute a capital element in the transformation of Mahorese and Comorian society. This research is part of a methodological approach based on direct observations, interviews for the reconstruction of stories and testimonies conducted with victims and journalists, in the Comoros Islands, supplemented by a media corpus of speeches by political actors and civil society of Comoros and France
Mellet, Xavier. "La composition médiatique des populismes : une comparaison France-Japon." Thesis, Paris, Institut d'études politiques, 2016. http://www.theses.fr/2016IEPP0037/document.
This thesis offers a study of the concept of populism today, through a comparison between French and Japanese cases. It focuses on election campaigns and the study of elements present in newspapers articles. The reasoning is divided into two parts. The first one analyzes the current problems of the concept of populism, and then proposes a methodological reflection, based on a will not to distinguish populist people from democrats, and the empirical inclusion of populism and the political. Following Ernesto Laclau’s “populist reason” theory, this part gives a definition of populism as a “mediatic composition”: populism exists when a composition is successfully created around an element that is visible within mass media content. The second part is dedicated to the study of such phenomena through a Japan-France comparison. It defines the main characteristics of the compositions seen in both countries, with particular regard to incarnation (how to become a leader) and the political project (how to become a central issue), within the 2005 and 2009 Japanese legislative elections and the French 2007 presidential election. It dwells on the specificities of each country regarding the emergence of populist dynamics, consisting of elementary expansions within a campaign, whatever its nature (proposition, person, enemy…). A particular attention is given to François Bayrou, Ségolène Royal (2007) and Koizumi Junichirō (2005); as well as the postal privatization (2005), the change in government (2009) and May 68 (2007). The conclusion proposes a theory of populism as emergence and some methodological prospects based on the notion of ‘monad’
Alahmari, Abdullah. "L'Arabie Saoudite dans les hebdomadaires français depuis 2001." Thesis, Paris 2, 2012. http://www.theses.fr/2012PA020049/document.
International news is of growing importance in a time of globalization. The headlines of the weekly press, studied in this thesis, confirm this real tendency. News about some countries like Saudi Arabia is generally relegated to special pages in the French weekly press. This study is constantly faced with the complex realities of Arabia and its social and cultural components as treated by the press. This thesis aims at better understanding this country by analyzing its image in the French press through articles that are devoted to it. Starting from a simple problem: how is the weekly media coverage devoted to Saudi Arabia and what dominant picture emerges? And on what grounds does this image develop? Everyone would agree, the print media is politicized. Based on this assumption, to what extent judgments of journalists are revealed in their papers? Even when reporting the discourse of French politicians on Franco-Saudi cooperation, some newspapers construct their interpretation by putting forward a special journalistic picture. Finally, is there a significant gap between policy and the French press faced by Saudi Arabia?

This work focuses on the journalists from Russian and French daily newspapers who cover political events on the Belarussian territory. Their own national and transnational representations, are at the center of our questioning. The way their cooperative interactions elaborate the Russian and French audience's perception of the Belarusian elections is another aspect of this work. Their narrative, framed by each newspaper's editorial project for which they work is the third aspect this thesis explores. Our goal is to identify the common values that tie together the different actors of the world of information in Minsk, which is motivated by foreign reporters. Furthermore, we shed light on inner dynamics within the groups that take part in the mutual production of information, which create distinct communities that make up this world and are united around their own objectives, their own identities, and their own narrative. This is where the matter of borders between these communities lies and allows us to reveal the foreign reporters' team and the Belarusian dissident community. This work also interrogates the structures of both communities, the relationships between their respective members, their inner conventions, the relations between colleagues and individuals outside of the group. Finally, we explore the results of such cooperation, which are in line with the editorial projects of the Russian and French newspapers. Thus we analyze the expression of professional logistics on an editorial scale that transpires through the enunciation of the different press titles
Hamdan, Akhlasse. "Médias et environnement : le processus et les protagonistes du « Grenelle de l’environnement »." Thesis, Paris 10, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011PA100145.
This typescript contributes to research in political communication concerning environmental issues in France. We focus in our study on the case of the "Grenelle de l'environnement" announced by Nicolas Sarkozy in 2007. It seems interesting to identify two main areas in this research. The first is the strategy of the government policy, investigating the method of the Grenelle and the reasons that led to its organization and the second axis is the media and our question concerns the relationship between both media and political fields. The later leads us to deeply study the reasons why the journalists were interested in the GDE, and analyze media coverage of the Grenelle. To test our hypotheses the research was based on a number of empirical investigations
