Abstract:
The private and public domains are usually regarded as a dichotomy: what is in one is not in the other. There can be many reasons for intrusions by the news media into the private lives of people. This thesis assesses the extent to which celebrity is a useful conduit for understanding why the media intrudes into people’s private lives and the extent to which celebrity affects any public interest justification for doing so. In essence: does celebrity make a difference in press intrusions into the private lives of others, or is it just one of many factors. The private lives of celebrities have been subject to invasion by the press for many years, while the conceptual definition of privacy has been fiercely debated by academics and lawyers. In 2011, as a direct consequence of the revelation that the News of the World had illegally accessed murder victim Milly Dowler’s voicemail during an active police investigation into her disappearance, the first part of the Leveson Inquiry was launched in order to examine the relationship between the British press and the public, the police and politicians. The significance of the Leveson Inquiry on public life and the media and political spheres means that an analysis of press intrusions into the private lives of both celebrities and those, like the Dowler family, who were unlucky enough to fall under scrutiny due to tragic events, is essential in understanding the relationship between celebrity, privacy and the press in twenty-first century England. This thesis utilises an observation study of the Leveson Inquiry public hearings from the Royal Courts of Justice, and the resulting evidence, to investigate the impact of celebrity on the nature and extent of press intrusion into the privacy of celebrities, and how it differs in the cases of noncelebrities who become of interest to the media. The thesis concludes that the element of celebrity has a major impact on press intrusion into the private lives of individuals regardless of their personal status, as ordinary individuals are targeted due to their proximity to a celebrity, or as a result of being caught up in extraordinary circumstances. However, social media platforms are threatening the role of the press in revealing private information about individuals to the general public, as both traditional celebrities and ‘internet micro-celebrities’ communicate directly with global audiences.

Abstract:
The project looks for a solution to optimalization of rotational deep drawn part with flange production. It deals with sewerage drain, which is produced by conventional tool to two deep drawing operations. The used material is austenitic Cr-Ni stainless steel 1.4301. Suitability of this material for deep drawing operations was considered by means of the tensile test and the Erichsen test. On the bases of these results, serializability of production and theoretic relationships for determination of number of deep drawing operations, it was decided upon one operation serial production, by conventional tool without attenuation thickness of sheet. Production will take place on hydraulic press Dieffenbacher PO250 with magnetic tool fastening. The deep drawing tool was designed and constructed. For series of 2 000 units per year the rate of return was calculated after 4,7 years, while using the punch from the current second deep drawing operation it was calculated after 3,4 years.

Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to propose and design the production of the cap. The cap is welded to the tube of roller regal and is used for closing the tube. They together make a fixed assembly. There is a bearing molded from inside the cap and shaft passes through the center of the cap. The main function of whole assembly is to rotate the tube around its own axis. The cap will made from deep - drawing steel DC04 with a thickness of 2 mm. After consideration various possible variants for the cap production, there was chosen deep drawing without reduction of thickness as the most profitable technology. The shape of the component was modified from the technology review. There is proposed a tool that will be used for production the caps. The caps will be produced within three operations: the first two operations form a central cup and the third operation makes the final shape of the cap. Drawings for the tool are created and delivered as part of this thesis. Based on the necessary force and work calculation, it was chosen eccentric press machine S 160 E from the ŠMERAL company. With the 25 000 series, the costs of production one piece are 51,65 CZK.

The project elaborated design of technology production of the trailer connecting joint from the deep drawing sheet iron 11 320. Pursuant to of the literary pursuit a problem of the deep drawing and calculation was designed progressive tool concatenate four operations. The lower ejectors are using for ejecting components. The drawing instrument especially made of non-standardised components and it is designed for use on a hydraulic press CTH 250, with nominal tensile force 250 kN. Drawing punch and drawing die are produced from alloyed instrumental steel 19 436 heat-worked according to drawing documentation. The technical and economical evaluation was focused on the forming cost, which is 2 922 893 CZK in total.

Abstract:
The thesis deals with the design of the upper part of the gas tank. Taking into account the shape and dimensions, the solution was chosen the most advantageous drawing technology without a thinning of 1 mm thick DC04 steel. The solution took account of the requirements of the contracting authority and selected the production for one operation. However, the simulation proved inappropriateness of the solution, so the procedure was modified to two operation proces. At the first stroke, a larger part of the body will be created, and in the other, a calibration of the cut-out dimensions will occur. For the first operation, the design of the tool kit, including drawing documentation for the CTH 250 press, was elaborated.

Abstract:
Au cours d’une carrière amorcée sous le Second Empire et achevée dans les années vingt, Albert Robida (1848-1926) participa à cent sept périodiques et illustra quatre-vingt-quatorze livres. Il acquit une autonomie créatrice par la fondation, en 1880, de son propre journal humoristique, La Caricature, et par la publication de quarante-sept ouvrages écrits et illustrés de sa main. Il exprime, en tant que dessinateur la forte tension entre tradition et modernité palpable dans le monde parisien de l’édition au tournant des XIXe et XXe siècles. Sa notoriété actuelle est principalement due au premier de ses romans d’anticipation Le Vingtième Siècle (1883). Par cette forme originale, Robida livre une satire de son époque, tout en proposant la vision dystopique d’une société régie par la mécanisation. Dans la perspective de l’histoire de l’art, on s’interrogera sur la pratique graphique traditionnelle défendue par Robida, qui pourtant avait si bien entrevu, dès le début des années 1880, le potentiel médiatique des images animées. Afin de résoudre ce paradoxe, sa production graphique a été analysée selon de trois axes de recherche complémentaires. Le premier concerne les mécanismes de diffusion de ses dessins dans le secteur de l’édition, que ce soit à travers la presse, les livres ou les estampes. Le deuxième axe s’intéresse à la singularité de Robida dans la fin de siècle. Il analyse les modes de créations qui lui permirent de se dégager des contraintes inhérentes au monde de l’édition par la mise au point de son propre style de caricature, par l’auto-illustration et par sa participation aux livres de bibliophilie. Le troisième axe cerne les limites que Robida fixait au métier de dessinateur par une enquête orientée vers la peinture, la photographie et le cinéma
During his career from the Second Empire to 1926, Albert Robida (1848-1926) took an active part in a hundred and seven newspapers and illustrated ninety-four books. He acquired a creative self-sufficiency by founding, in 1880, his own satirical newspaper, La Caricature, and by publishing forty-seven works which he himself wrote and illustrated. His career and his drawings express the strong tension between tradition and modernity in the Parisian world of edition from the end of the nineteenth century to the beginning of the twentieth century. His present fame is mainly due to Le Vingtième siècle (1883), the first of his works of science-fiction. Through this new form, Robida renders a satire of his time, while offering a dystopic vision of a society run by mechanization. Although he foresaw the media possibilities in animated pictures in the early 1880's, he defended his traditional graphic practice which will be examined in the art history angle. To resolve this paradox, his graphic production has been analyzed according to three further axes of research. The first one is about the distribution of his pictures in the publishing sector through newspapers, books or etchings. The second one is focused on the peculiarity of Robida in the “fin de siècle”. It analyses the creative forms which allowed him to free himself from the constraints connected to the publishing sector by focusing on his own style as a caricaturist, on his auto-illustrations and on his participation in books on bibliophilia. The third axis centers on the limits which, as an illustrator, Robida set to his own profession by a research directed towards painting, photography and cinema

Abstract:
This thesis deals with the proposal of an oil filter body manufacture. The oil filter body is a rotational part made of DC02 deep drawing steel. With respect to the material, geometry and the size of the production, a deep drawing technology which does not consider wall thinning, was chosen. It was decided about necessity of five drawing operations. Suitable presses for a notching line and the very drawing were selected. Next part of the thesis is given to the design of the rolling tool construction. A drawing die for the first operation is described in details, including the controls and drawings. The economic part compares variants with the requirements of monthly production of 50 000, 180 000 and 350 000 pieces respectively. Due to the economic study, the production of 180 000 pieces per month was chosen.

The material is zinc-coated sheet metal HX220YD EN 10292. Mechanical properties and suitability of the material are evaluated by mechanical tests. The structure of the material is evaluated by metalography scratch pattern. The analysis of draw process and manufacturability of the part is made by calculations and AutoForm software. The production line, necessary machinery and construction solution of draw tool for the manufacturing the part are determined. Last section deals with economical evaluation of the production.

The diploma thesis of the master's study in the field of M2I-K presents a design of a hollow rotating part made of metal sheet with a tapering bottom. Deep drawing technology was chosen as the best suited option for production without thinning the wall. Stainless steel was chosen as a source material for production parts in compliance to ČSN 172 40. The drinker is produced by three drawing operations where each operation is performed separately on a standalone press CTH 250 developed by ŽĎAS a. s. A sheet measuring 1500 x 3000 x 1 mm with diameter 428 mm was evaluated as the most economically viable for production of a semi-finished product – rondel. For one year production produced in a series of annual volume 100,000 pieces.

Abstract:
In the decades around 1900, political and social cartoons flourished in humour and satire magazines in the Swedish capital. The thesis presents a new theoretical start on the nature of humour in cartoons: the idea of the comical is argued as effects of reality notions and bracketing reality notions. The theory is a prerequisite for understanding the mechanisms of the identity play performed in the comic scenes. The thesis pursues a search for the object or the character with whom the intended recipient was expected to identify, referred to as the “the main character”. The analysis is based on a kind of theatrical construction, where the real city, its pleasures, secrets and dangers constitute the material for the image’s scenes. The characters in the scenes act out the dangers and ambiguities that the city’s bourgeois man faced. The material of the study consists of social cartoons from the two Stockholm-based magazines Söndags-Nisse and Kasper between 1870 and 1900. About a hundred of them are reproduced in the thesis.  The analysis builds on three theoretical perspectives: theories on images; humour; and identity constructions. By integrating theories on humour with image analysis, the thesis highlights the ambivalence and ambiguity of identity aspects. Relationships and characters explored through the image elements are given as headlines for the chapters: the room; the body; and the act. The study shows how a male and bourgeois hegemony invents image expressions, main characters, and plots that offer the recipient protection against being laughed at and against the danger of mistakes. The analysis shows that four strategies to represent the bourgeois man are frequent: as the “fuzzy man”; as the caricature of the bourgeois man; as the stereotype; and as the “unfettered man”. The various figures offer more or less possibilities of identification versus distancing. The pictures’ expressions of uncertainties – in terms of vague or fuzzy lines; self-irony; or avoiding being singled out – all these means provide distance, in relation to the picture content, the issues that concerned the intended recipient, whether it is about the difficulty of distinguishing the public body from the forbidden, or about general human conditions.

The project elaborated design of technology production of the filter cover - section from the deep drawing sheet 11 325 (DC04). Based on analysis was chosen combination of technologies shearing and deep drawing for that option was designed manufacturing process. Forming process is realized on hydraulic progressive press from Sweden company AP&T which has got total nominal tensile force 1740 kN and equipped 5 stations with lower holders and upper ejectors. Deep drawn part is transported between stations by feeders which are part of press. Function parts are made from alloyed tool steels 19 436 and 19 573 which are heat-worked according to drawing documentation. In chapter technical and economical evaluation was determined turning point which become after reaching of 142 840 parts.

Notre enquête doctorale étudie l’illustration de la colonisation dans la presse satirique illustrée française entre 1829 et 1990. Cette thèse ambitionne d’éclairer un aspect méconnu de l’iconographie coloniale, à partir du dépouillement et de l’analyse de vingt-deux périodiques satiriques qui touchent diverses sensibilités éditoriales. Afin de confronter iconographie satirique et non satirique, deux journaux illustrés généralistes sérieux com- plètent le corpus. En suivant un parcours chronologique, il s’agira de présenter les axes caractéristiques de l’iconographie satirique coloniale. Pour comprendre la construction, le fonctionnement et le rôle des images expansionnistes issues des titres satiriques, cette recherche entend également définir le genre « presse satirique ». En analysant l’évolution historique, les caractéristiques populaires et les traits distinctifs de cette catégorie médiatique, nous mettrons en évidence les relations déterminantes qui existent entre le genre et les images coloniales.
This doctoral investigation studied satirical colonial iconography in the French satirical illustrated press between 1829 and 1990. From counting and analysis of twenty-two satirical periodicals, representing di erent editorial lines, this thesis aims to inform an unknown part of this colonial iconography. Two serious illustrated papers complement the general corpus to reintegrate results in the general fields of media images. For a diachronic, the aim should be to identify the major axes of the colonial satirical illustration. To understand the construction, operation and role of colonial imagery from satirical titles, this research also intends to define the genre "satirical press". By analyzing the historical evolution, popular features and the hallmark of this media class, we will highlight the crucial relationship between gender and colonial images.

In 1977, two years after General Franco has died, in a transitional process Forges,a drawer, published comics in Los Historiciclos, a story of Spain under Franco’s regime. Resuming apparently the organization of historiographical publication and focusing on a lack of information or simply disinformation, the drawer ironically plays with official and non-official aspects of the history he relentlessly questions. Croisant les apports de la sémiotique des images, de l'anthropologie de l'écrit et des sciences de l'information et de la communication, cette recherche procède à l'analyse d'un corpus de plusieurs centaines de dessins produits en réaction aux attaques terroristes islamistes de janvier 2015 en région Île-de-France. Elle établit dans quelle mesure le dessin, en tant qu'auxiliaire et sujet de discours des mobilisations populaires, constitue un vecteur de cohésion entre les Français ·es. La première partie de la thèse montre en quoi les attentats de janvier 2015 constituent un moment charnière dans les pratiques mémorielles en France et explicite les filiations et l'originalité de cette recherche doctorale. En s'inscrivant dans la continuité de travaux en sociologie des attentats, ce travail fait le choix de s'intéresser avant tout à la dimension visuelle des messages, un aspect jusqu'ici encore peu exploré. La deuxième partie examine le traitement médiatique des attentats et rend compte du poids du cadrage d'une atteinte à la liberté d'expression sur les dispositifs et les procédés d'implication du public déployés par la presse et la télévision françaises. La troisième partie analyse un grand nombre de matériaux empiriques issus de plusieurs archives françaises, publiques et privées. Elle rend compte de la pluralité des pratiques graphiques et des formes de politisation selon trois dispositifs communicationnels spécifiques : les mémoriaux éphémères de trois villes de province, les murs de la capitale et les courriers adressés à la rédaction de Charlie Hebdo
Combining contributions from the semiotics of images, the anthropology of the written word and media studies, this research focuses on a corpus of several hundred drawings produced in response to the Islamist terrorist attacks of January 2015 in the Île-de-France region. It establishes the extent to which the drawing, as an auxiliary and subject of discourse of popular mobilisations, constitutes a vector of cohesion between French people. The first part of the thesis shows how the attacks of January 2015 constitute a pivotal moment in remembrance practices in France and explains the connections and originality of this doctoral research. Following on from work on the sociology of the attacks, this thesis focuses primarily on the visual dimension of the messages, an aspect that has been little explored until now. The second part examines the media treatment of the attacks, looking at how the framing of an attack on freedom of expression affects the ways in which the French press and television engage the public. The third part analyses a large amount of empirical material from a number of French public and private archives. It takes account of the plurality of graphic practices and forms of politicization in three specific communication devices: ephemeral memorials in three provincial towns, walls in the capital and letters sent to the editorial staff of Charlie Hebdo

Très vite, l'humoriste est reconnu de la profession et rejoint les pages de quelques-uns des plus grands périodiques d'humour et d'actualité de l'époque. S'adaptant à différentes lignes éditoriales, il explore plusieurs courants comiques, du burlesque à l'absurde, en passant par la satire d'une société en crise. Le rythme de publication soutenu et la variété des formes employées par l'humoriste – strip, planche et dessin unique – sont propices à l'élaboration d'une poétique de la brièveté. From 1954 to 1976, Quino's work is essentially published in argentinian press. The humorist is very soon acknowledged by his profession and joins the pages of some of the most important journals and magazines of humor and information at this time. Adapting his creation to different editorial lines, he explores several forms of comic, from slapstick to absurdity, and even the satirizing of a society in crisis. His intense rhythm of publication and the diversity of forms used by the humorist – strip, page and cartoon – are favorable to elaborate a poetics of briefness. Quino's work is elaborated in a dynamics of repetition and variation which revisits graphic humor tradition and thematizes the conditions of his creation
De 1954 a 1976, la obra de Quino se publica principalmente en la prensa argentina. Muy pronto, el humorista recibe el reconocimiento de los profesionales del humor y accede a las páginas de algunos de los periódicos y revistas de humor y de actualidad más importantes de la época. Al adaptarse a diversas líneas editoriales, explora varias formas de comicidad, del burlesco al absurdo, pasando por la sátira de una sociedad en crisis. El ritmo de publicación intenso y la diversidad de formas empleadas por el humorista – tira, página y dibujo único – son propicios para elaborar una poética de la brevedad. Cette thèse est composée de trois volumes : le mémoire principal et deux volumes d’annexes. Elle présente une étude comparée d’images (photographies, dessins de presse, cartes, publicités) parues dans L’Express et Le Nouvel Observateur depuis 1967 (guerre des Six Jours) à 1983 (élimination politique de Yasser Arafat de la scène proche-orientale). Il ne s’agit pas de réécrire une nouvelle histoire des relations israélo-palestiniennes mais plutôt de comprendre comment l’agencement de l’image dans l’article de presse oriente notre perception de l’information. Ainsi l’image instrumentalisée devient un outil indispensable non seulement pour critiquer l’attitude du gouvernement israélien mais aussi pour condamner le terrorisme palestinien. Nous avons dégagé huit objets iconographiques regroupés en deux catégories : « l’image-illustration », « l’image-message ». Nous avons analysé la place de l’image dans l’article, l’importance de l’agencement de celui-ci pour mettre en évidence les liens existant entre les différents objets le composant. Ces images, seules ou multiples et scénarisées, ne cessent d’interpeller sur le danger de la colonisation des territoires occupés. Elles dénoncent aussi l’inanité des actes terroristes. This thesis is made up of three volumes : the main dissertation and two volumes of appendices. The study outlines a comparative study of images (photographs, sketches, maps, ads) published in L’Express and Le Nouvel Observateur, from 1967 (Six Day War) to 1983 (Yasser Arafat’s political demise on the Middle-Eastern stage). The intention is not to re-write the history of the Israeli-Palestinian relations, but rather to understand how images in the print media influence our perception of the information. The use of images thus become an essential tool, not only to criticize the Israeli Government’s attitude, but also to denounce Palestinian terrorism. We have selected eight iconographic objects which we further divided into two categories : "illustration-image″ and "message-image″. We have analyzed the place of the image in the article and the text relating to it in order to highlight the sum of the constituent parts. Such images, single or multiple and scripted, never cease to stress the dangers of the colonization of the occupied Territories. They also condemn the pointlessness of the terrorist acts. Abstract:
This research seeks to analyze the graphical composition of manifestations of caricature in Rio Grande newspapers, from the issue on the strategies used in visual discourse to attract the reader's attention, guide the interpretation, provide information, and even promote the newspaper media. The theoretical and methodological framework is based on Image Theory, which discriminate the morphological, dynamic and scalar elements, that make up the manifestations of caricatures at newspapers Diabrete, Marui and Bisturi, to check the strategies for producing the images meaning and how the visual discourse contributes to the journalistic motives. Although the meanings of an image are not dissociated from its social and historical context of production or its verbal content, if it exists, the fundamental purpose of this dissertation is to understand and explain the power of visual language. This study seeks to demonstrate that, as the name used for this press time, the manifestations of caricatures, by guide the editorial strategy, represent a new genre of communication that shows a simple structure in its elements and, therefore, a strong appeal to reading and forming public opinion, being a resource for the production of information.
Esta pesquisa busca analisar a composição gráfica das manifestações caricaturais em jornais rio-grandinos, partindo da problemática sobre as estratégias utilizadas no discurso visual para atrair a atenção do leitor, orientar a interpretação, fornecer informações e, mesmo, popularizar a mídia jornal. O referencial teórico-metodológico se apoia na Teoria da Imagem, onde se discriminam os elementos morfológicos, dinâmicos e escalares que compõem as manifestações caricaturais dos jornais Diabrete, Marui e Bisturi, para verificar as estratégias de construção de significação das imagens e como o discurso visual contribui para os intuitos jornalísticos. Embora as significações de uma imagem não se dissociem de seu contexto sócio-histórico de produção ou de seu conteúdo verbal, se existente, o intuito fundamental dessa dissertação é entender e explicar a potência da linguagem visual. Procuro demonstrar que, conforme o próprio nome utilizado para essa imprensa de época, as manifestações caricaturais, ao orientarem a estratégia editorial, representam um novo gênero de comunicar que apresenta em seus elementos uma estruturação simples e, por isso, de forte apelo de leitura e formação de opinião, constituindo-se em recursos para a produção de informação.

Cette thèse se propose d’explorer, à travers la figure de l’émigré russe dans le cinéma et la caricature de presse parus en France dans l’entre-deux-guerres, les différentes représentations de la Russie. Il s’agit, tout d’abord, de la Russie en exil, une Russie mosaïque regroupant de nombreuses ethnicités venues de différents endroits de l’ancien Empire russe, comprenant, en elles-mêmes, une large palette sociale (des aristocrates et notables aux personnes sans rang, ni profession), professionnelle (artistes, hommes politiques, militaires, ouvriers), politiques (monarchistes, libéraux, révolutionnaires socialistes, anarchistes), religieuse, éducative et culturelle. Nous nous intéressons alors aux façons dont cette Russie en exil est perçue et représentée par les artistes nostalgiques de leur passé, caricaturistes et cinéastes émigrés, mais aussi par les réalisateurs français passionnés de l’orientalisme et de la « mode russe » qui en découle. This thesis proposes to explore different representations of Russia through the figure of the Russian emigrant in the film and press cartoons published in France in the inter-war period. First of all, it discusses Russia in exile, a mosaic Russia which contains numerous ethnicities hailing from various locations of the former Russian Empire. These ethnicities thus comprise a large palette of social features (from aristocrats and notable people to those without any titles or professions), professional ones (artists, politicians, military men, workers), political ones (monarchists, liberals, socialist revolutionaries, anarchists), religious, educational and cultural ones. We are therefore interested in the ways that this Russia in exile is perceived and represented by the artists who are nostalgic of their past, emigrant caricaturists and film-makers, as well as French film directors who were passionate about Orientalism and the subsequent “Russian fashion”. Secondly, we capture the ways in which the emigrant artists deal with Soviet Russia, namely the Bolshevik leaders, ordinary Soviet people and their everyday lives. We also look at the notion of communicable experience, which is employed by Walter Benjamin, and different ways in which the life in exile could be communicated both to the emigrant public and to the French one

Servo press are capable of controlling slider motions to generate variable speed drawing profiles, which can save the time of drawing process and increase the drawing depth. This study analyze the influence of material factor, drawing ratio, diameter of drawing material, diameter of die opening, and punch corner radius in drawing process. Making a rule of thumb to generate drawing motion profiles by doing both constant and variable speed experiments. Finite element analyzation and drawing force measurement are also included. In conclusion, a parameter-based rule of thumb, speed changing formula, drawing profile generating chart, and an example of optimal design process have been made. The optimal drawing profiles can save 20% drawing time and increase 25% drawing depth as a result.

This research aimed to prove the formability of advanced high strength steel (AHSS) by using servo press is better than by using traditional press. At first, a drawing die was designed and installed on a servo press. The drawing specimens were prepared by laser cutting from AHSS sheets. Parameters such as drawing ratio, forming velocity, die gap, forming path, and friction conditions were tested to analyze the formability of advanced high strength steel. The experimental results showed that a particular pulse motion provided by servo press could relubricate the specimen and improve the formability of AHSS. The finite element analysis software ABAQUS was used to simulate the drawing process to analyze the relubricating mechanism. The simulation results showed that the pulse motion could lower the coefficient of friction between specimen and die, and also explained why the relubricating mechanism could improve the formability of AHSS. This research showed that the formability of AHSS by using the servo press with pulse motion is better than by using the traditional press.

Abstract:
Die Entwicklung ebener Koppelgetriebe als nichtlinear übersetzende Antriebe in Verarbeitungsmaschinen stellt bis heute ein domänenübergreifendes Fachgebiet des Maschinenbaus dar. Auf der einen Seite gilt es, die Koppelgetriebe möglichst effizient in einer sich stetig wandelnden Softwarelandschaft zu synthetisieren (geometrische Maßfindung der Getriebeglieder) und auf der anderen Seite steigen die mechanischen Anforderungen. Aus diesem Grund besteht der Wunsch nach einer Vereinigung von Synthese und Analyse (kinematisch sowie kinetisch) in möglichst einer Programmumgebung. Basierend auf dem zum 18. ITI Symposium im Jahr 2015 vorgestellten modulbasierten Analyse-Synthese-Parameter-Abgleich (ASPA) ist in den vergangenen Jahren eine umfangreiche Bibliothek zur modulbasierten Synthese ebener Koppelgetriebe in SimulationX entstanden. Der Beitrag zeigt am Beispiel eines 14-gliedrigen Pressenantriebes, welche neuen Möglichkeiten im Kontext von ASPA innerhalb von SimulationX durch diese Bibliothek entstanden sind. Basierend auf vorausgegangenen Arbeiten wurde erstmals die Möglichkeit der Synthese des Getriebes mittels Maßsynthese bei einer gleichzeitigen Beeinflussung der Gelenkkräfte und Bewegungsverläufe nachgewiesen. Dabei kam der Variantenassistent in SimulationX für die Ermittlung der Parametersensitivitäten zum Einsatz. Das Einbinden von parametrisierten Trägheitskenngrößen auf Basis vereinfachter Volumenkörper ermöglichte hierbei die Berücksichtigung der Bauteilmassen während der Synthese. Die Möglichkeit der gleichzeitigen Beurteilung kinematischer und kinetischer Kenngrößen während der Synthese ist an dieser Stelle ein besonderes Merkmal des Konzeptes ASPA.
Developing nonlinear transmitting planar coupler linkages represents a domain enclosing field in mechanical engineering. On the one hand, there is a demand for an efficient layer synthesis (geometrical sizing of the links) and on the other hand, it is necessary to adapt to a constantly changing software environment. Thus, it is desired to crosslink the kinematical and kinetical synthesis and analysis of linkages within one software environment. Based on a paper about the Analysis-Synthesis-Parameter-Adjustment (ASPA), published at the 18th ITI Symposium in 2015, an extensive synthesis library has been developed in SimulationX. By the example of a 14 bar deep drawing press this paper reveals new opportunities that arise from the application of ASPA on the basis of the new library in SimulationX. Compared to prior papers on this particular press this paper, for the first time, presents a complete layer synthesis of this linkage regarding kinetic boundary conditions. In order to meet conditions, such as motion demands and joint forces, parameter sensitivities have been determined by applying the variants-wizard in SimulationX. Using parameterized mass properties on the basis of simplified solids has allowed the specification of link masses during the synthesis. The opportunity of simultaneously taking kinematic and kinetic characteristics during the layer synthesis into account defines the concept of ASPA.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect of ultrasonic vibration to the process of metal forming. The three main processes in the investigation are the shear with ultrasonic vibration, the deep drawing with ultrasonic vibration and equal-channel angle extrusion with ultrasonic vibration to study the characteristics between mold and workpiece and to analyze the influence of ultrasonic vibration. The paper is divided into four themes, including the design of test equipment with ultrasonic vibration, the design of shearing mold with ultrasonic vibration and the design of ECAE mold with ultrasonic vibration. Using finite element method with ultrasonic processing theory to mold design for the shear with ultrasonic vibration, the deep drawing with ultrasonic vibration and ECAE with ultrasonic vibration are successfully applied to the relevant tests. First, In the investigation of the shear with ultrasonic vibration, the die clearance, the shearing speed and the feeding angle are the three factors with different levels in experiment design. The traditional shearing process and shearing process with ultrasonic vibration are two groups into discussion with RSM(Response surface methodology, RSM). The results showed that low die clearance and high feeding angle can reduce burr formation more due to the characteristics of dynamic vibration. Secondly, with adjustable working curve in servo press combined with punch speed and vibration amplitude are the three factors with different levels. The RSM is used to investigate the effect on the deep drawing process with ultrasonic vibration. The results showed that the punch load and the friction force could be reduced with the appropriate process of ultrasonic amplitude and working curve. It also can increase the material limitation in the deep drawing process. The characteristic of the dynamic frictional stress with ultrasonic vibration is the main reason to improve the product quality and enhance the economic process. Finally, the influence of ECAE with ultrasonic vibration is discussed. The results showed that the maximum load decreased with the increasing ultrasonic amplitude in favor of using the punch. The hardness of workpiece can also increase with the increasing ultrasonic amplitude. The manufacturing process is shown in ECAE can indeed strengthen the mechanical strength of the material. The surface roughness of the workpiece can be reduced with the increasing ultrasonic amplitude. It showed that the lubricant in the interface can get better distribution and effect to improve the conditions of friction. However, when speed is greater than a certain critical drawing speed, the friction effect of ultrasonic vibration will almost completely disappear in the use of finite element method to analyze the result. The paper is investigated in the mold design with ultrasonic vibration, the shear with ultrasonic vibration, the deep drawing with ultrasonic vibration and ECAE with ultrasonic vibration. The paper can also understand the characteristics of different working process as a result of possible reference for future study of the ultrasonic assisted forming.

The purpose of this study was to identify the ideal servo motion curve of a servo press to increase the limiting drawing ratio (LDR), reduce the number of forming passes, and enhance the dimensional precision of the deep drawing process. First, a conventional crank motion curve was applied to design and explore the deep drawing process for circular cups. Then, a computer-aided engineering (CAE) software was used to simulate the same deep drawing process. Different design parameters, such as die clearance, press force, die corner, friction coefficient, and servo motion curve (e.g., single recovery and multiple recovery of motion curves) were applied to analyze the deformation, stress/strain distribution, and fracture/cracking of the circular cups. Using available equipment, the servo curve was applied to physically implement the deep drawing process and verify whether the analysis results were consistent with the experiment outcomes. The experiment outcomes revealed that under the same die conditions, the largest blanks the drawing process could process using the servo curve was 6% to 8% larger in diameter than drawing processes using a conventionally designed LDR. Moreover, the servo motion curve was applied to the deep drawing of automotive motor casings. The optimal parameters of the servo curve were applied to design and fabricate the die for the automotive product. It was then used in a drawing process coupled with different servo motion curves (multiple recovery of motion curves) to identify the optimal servo motion curve for drawing automotive motor casings. Using the optimal servo motion cure in deep drawing processes can effectively reduce forming passes and ensure that a suitable servo press is employed in deep drawing. Finally, the findings of this study revealed the uniformity in the size variance of blanks was significantly and positively correlated with the frequency of the servo motion curves.
