Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
Studenti více popisovali a méně hodnotili. V oblasti zadávání instrukcí si všímali více detailů (kvalitativně i kvantitativně).

Price, Danielle Nicole. "Spatial Cognition among Montana Eleventh and Twelfth Grade Agricultural Education Students." Thesis, Montana State University, 2004. http://etd.lib.montana.edu/etd/2004/price/PriceD04.pdf.

Full text
Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to determine high school student's spatial cognition abilities to identify features and attributes in agriculture production images, projected in two-dimension (2D) or three-dimension (3D). The effects of selected demographics on spatial cognition were examined. The population consisted of 101 high school students from selected secondary agricultural education programs during the Fall Semester of 2003. Criteria for participation were that the class size be 10-15 students enrolled in 11th or 12th grade. The agricultural classes were randomly assigned as either participating in the 2D or 3D study. When viewing 2D and 3D images of production agriculture students were able to correctly identify features and attributes about 50 percent of the time. Based on the 17 multiple-choice questions of the 23 questions used, there was no significant difference in students' spatial cognitive abilities when viewing 2D and 3D production agriculture images. When viewing production agriculture images in 3D, containing features and attributes relative to elevation, spatial cognition was enhanced. Age, grade level, semesters enrolled in agricultural education, gender, place of residence and prior GIS experience did not enhance spatial cognition.

Abstract This chapter discusses the theories of demand and supply, including the factors affecting the demand for commodities (the price of the commodity itself, the incomes of consumers, the price of competitive (or substitute) goods, the price of complementary goods, and the tastes of consumers) as well as the factors affecting supply (the price of the good, the prices of other goods that firms could produce or do produce, the prices of factors of production, the state of technology, and the goals/objectives of firms). The significance of the price and income elasticities of demand to the agricultural sector is highlighted.

Abstract:
This paper deals with the selection of a specific solution for the electronic management system of the Aviation Training and Educational Center of the University of Žilina in Žilina. The selection is based on an analysis of system properties and research using a pair of questionnaires in which we found out the preferences of instructors and students in flight training. We identified the basic functions and components of the systems and compared them with the research findings. We fulfilled the basic goal of this paper by selecting three systems, that meet the requirements of students, instructors and flight school. The introduction of one of these systems would simplify flight training for students in the future and increase the overall efficiency of the flight school.

Abstract:
Paper describes research applications of biofeedback on psychological resistance analysis. Using scientific methods paper evaluated influence of stress and mental resistance of probands: pilots in training so-called cadets and volunteers not involved in piloting of any kind, so-called „nonpilots“. Devices Muse 2 and CorSence Elite are used to examine R-R intervals, sympathetic/parasympathetic activity ratio and brain activity during each examination sessions. Theses also aim at answering two core hypotheses. Do the pilots have greater mental resistance against stress due to training and frequent exposure to a highly stressful environment? And, are we able to find the answer to the previous question using the biofeedback examination method? Nonpilot group had 2,47 times thinner R-R interval than the pilot group and also had SNS index 1,77 times higher than the one in the pilot group. Unusual data can be observed once we look at the PNS index. According to data calculations, the final PNS index in the pilot group is 0,816 and the nonpilot group 0,7075 This situation can be described by the known effect of physical subsystems which can deviate these indexes. Significant differences between examined values verify hypothesis which says frequent exposure to highly stressful environment causes high mental resistance against stress for pilots. It is also safe to say that cardiologic biofeedback is a reliable tool for complex examination of induces stress levels. It wasn’t managed to verify MUSE 2 technology due to inconclusive data. It is believed that distortion of data from MUSE 2 is a consequence of a hygienic face mask. This exposure of its weakness shows brand new information for using such technologies.

Abstract:
The main goal of the paper is based on the analysis to define the criteria for selecting an aircraft suitable for PPL training. We achieved the main goal by meeting two sub-goals. The first sub-objective is the analysis of training organizations in Slovakia, on the basis of which we have selected entities for the second sub-objective thus the analysis of selected aircrafts suitable for PPL training. In this work we analyze three, most used training aircrafts for PPL training in Slovakia. We analyze selected aircrafts in terms of three main parts, which include, analysis of technical parameters, analysis of flight characteristics and analysis of operating parameters. Based on the given analyzes, we obtained an evaluation of the characteristics of selected aircrafts, their individual advantages and disadvantages. Other results of the work include the evaluation of criteria that are suitable for aircrafts designed for PPL training. This work can be applied in practice, especially when deciding on the selection of a training aircraft for a student or training organization.

Abstract:
Flight simulators play an important role in pilot training around the world. They contribute to increasing the safety of air traffic, allow you to practice emergency situations and non-standard procedures and thus prepare pilots for dangers during real flight. The need for the Zlín 242L simulator arose during the procurement of this type of aircraft for the Aviation Training and Education Center of the University of Žilina. The paperdeals with the design and arrangement of the instrument part of the simulator, while the design is based mainly on the flight manual of the aircraft Zlín 242L. The theoretical part of the paper describes the basic requirements for flight simulators, categorization of flight simulators and within the instrumentation focuses on ways of displaying on-board flight data, describes the display devices within simulator space and examines the requirements for displayed data needed for flight. The result of the paper is the design of simulator instrumentation and subsequent construction of the simulator, which will serve students of the Department of Air Transport for training procedures during the flight on a given type of aircraft, familiarization with aircraft instrumentation, or training in non-standard and emergency situations

Novák, Jozef, and Branislav Kandera. "Utilisation of advanced avionics systems in basic flight training." In Práce a štúdie. University of Zilina, 2021. http://dx.doi.org/10.26552/pas.z.2021.2.31.

Full text
Abstract:
The paper deals with the use of advanced avionics systems in basic flight training. From the point of view of aviation history, this issue is relatively new, because for many decades only aircraft with analog instruments have been used for training. From the content point of view, the paper can be divided into two significant parts. The first, theoretical part describes the knowledge of the issue. In 2019, two new Zlín Z-242 aircraft equipped with the Garmin G500 TXi glass cockpit were added to the fleet of the Air Training and Education Centre (LVVC). Therefore in the second, practical part we conducted a survey among instructors and students of LVVC on the issue discussed and their experience of training on this aircraft. In addition, we looked at how to effectively train pilots when using training aircraft with advanced avionics systems. Completion of the practical part of the paper was the creation of multimedia learning material, which should help novice pilots prepare for the use of basic features of Garmin G500 TXi and acquaint them with knowledge that will help especially the first flight hours to be more efficient as they begin the training on new aircraft

Full text
Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to create up-to-date aviation legislations study material focused on the continuing airworthiness of aircraft and aeronautical products, parts and appliances, and on the approval of organisations and personnel involved in these tasks for future students of aircraft maintenance technology at the Air Transport Department, FPEDAS of the University of Žilina. As a relatively new studying programme, it has a lack of study materials in the field of aviation legislation, mainly in the field of aviation maintenance, whether in terms of technical requirements of aircrafts airworthiness or their certification. The first chapter of the paper is focused on a brief acquaintance with the history of aircraft maintenance and procedures applied in aircraft maintenance. We point to the modern history of aircraft maintenance, including EU legislation. In the second chapter, the work focuses on the international legal regulation of this issue as well as on the position of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the European Civil Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and their activities in this area. In the following chapters, the paper deals with the current regulations of the EU Commission and Parts important not only for aircraft maintenance technicians, but also for training organizations in the field of aviation maintenance. In the end the paper deals with legislation necessary for the certification of an aircraft and requirements that are applied in the operation procedures of any civil aircraft for the purposes of commercial air transport.

Novák, Andrej, and František Jůn. "Methodical manual for flight according to PBN." In Práce a štúdie. University of Zilina, 2021. http://dx.doi.org/10.26552/pas.z.2021.2.43.

Full text
Abstract:
Work dealing with the professional topic of PBN issues and its use within the University of Žilina in Žilina. The division of the work is 4 content units, each of which describes a different area of the issue. In the first chapter, the author analyzes certified navigation devices and their functionality within the PBN concept. The chapter describes the basic radio navigation equipment, which we include in the concept of PBN, namely VOR, DME, but also satellite navigation systems GNSS, ABAS, GBAS, SBAS. And in summary, use of these systems in the PBN concept. The next chapter describes the theoretical knowledge that a student should have in flight according to PBN. It describes the theoretical background that a pilot needs to perform such a flight. Every pilot who starts practical flying should have studied the facts given in this chapter. In the third chapter, the reader will learn about the differences between flying a real aircraft and between simulator flying during PBN training. It describes the execution of the flight according to PBN, which is helpful before starting the simulator training. The simulator is an important part of the training and should therefore be given the same level of attention. The last part of this work summarizes the facts from the previous chapters and uses this knowledge in their implementation in flight procedures. When reading this chapter, it is necessary to use your knowledge of practical training. The aim of this work is to create a framework for the future methodological manual for PBN training. The main goal of this work is to bring the issue closer to the reader, to acquaint him with the issue of PBN flying.

Gupta, Sweta, and Mohamed Abouaziza. Closing England's Maths Attainment Gap through One-to-One Tutoring – Global Solutions. Institute of Development Studies (IDS), July 2021. http://dx.doi.org/10.19088/ids.2021.050.

Full text
Abstract:
In the aftermath of COVID-related school closures in the UK, students lost two months of learning, but the loss among the 1.7 million disadvantaged students has been much larger at seven months. This disadvantaged gap is almost entirely driven by maths attainment. One-to-one tutoring is proven to be effective at helping students catch up, but private tutoring is most likely to be taken up by children from affluent households, further widening the disadvantaged gap in learning. This report discusses the feasibility of an innovative tutoring delivery model that uses the global graduate market to deliver tutoring at a scale that can solve this problem and a price that schools can afford. While the report discusses the overall opportunity that the emerging market economies of South- and South-East Asia provide, it also presents the Third Space Learning model in Sri Lanka as a case study to investigate the practicalities of the global online tutoring model.
