<span>This paper presents the comparison between proportional integral (PI) current controller, proportional resonance and harmonic compensator (PR+HC) current controller and modified PR+HC current controller in the inverter system. Power electronic components like inverter and current controller uses in the system produce unwanted harmonics that affect the quality of distribution power network. In this study, development and simulation of current controller using conventional proportional integral (PI), the selective harmonic compensation scheme (PR+HC), and modified version of the latter are considered so to overcome these harmonics injection. Modification is by adding control parameter randomisation technique to the PR+HC scheme. Results compare the three controllers and proved that with modification to the selective harmonic compensation scheme, the overall current THD can be reduced</span>

<p>The intention of this paper is to identify a suitable controller for closed loop multi converter system for multiple input sources and to improve time response of high-gain-step up-converter. Closed-loop Multi Converter System (MCS) is utilized to regulate load-voltage. This effort recommends suitable-controller for closed-two loop-controlled-SEPIC-REBOOST Converter fed DC motor. The estimation of the yield in open-two loop and closed- two-loop-circuit has been done using MATLAB or Simulink. Closed-two loop-control of Multi Converter System with Propotional+Integral (PI)- Propotional+Integral (PI) and Proportional+Resonant (PR) - Proportional+Resonant (PR) Controllers are investigated and their responses are evaluated in conditions of rise time, peak time, settling time and steady state error. It is seen that current-mode PR-PR controlled MCS gives better time domain response in terms of motor speed. A Prototype of MCS has been fabricated in the laboratory and the experimental-results are authenticated with the simulation-results.</p>

Abstract:
Field-oriented control (FOC) has achieved great success in permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) control. For the PMSM drive, FOC allows the motor torque and flux to be controlled separately, which means the torque and flux are decoupled from each other. Since the torque control is achieved by the speed controller, it can be considered that the speed and the flux of the PMSM are also decoupled from each other and can be controlled separately. In this paper, we propose a PMSM vector control using decoupled speed and flux controllers based on the proportional-resonant (PR) control method. A flux controller is proposed to control the flux of the PMSM and generate the d-axis reference current, whereas the speed regulator is used to generate the torque as well as the q-axis reference current. The PR controller is proposed to control the dq-axis currents and generate the reference voltages; its design is included. Therefore, decoupled speed and flux controllers are controlled separately using the PR controller. The Matlab/Simulink environment is utilized for the simulation, while the dSPACE DS1104 is used for the experimental work. The proposed control method is simple; there are no flux or torque estimators required, so it can avoid the complexity of estimators in the control scheme. The motor is tested under different scenarios, including flux change, speed change, and load torque change. The simulation and hardware results show the effectiveness of the proposed control method in controlling the the speed and the flux of PMSM with fast motor response and good dynamic performance in the different scenarios.

Abstract:
In this paper, a current feedback control scheme is proposed using Proportional Resonant (PR) for a grid-connected converter with an LCL Filter; PR controller with harmonic compensators has high gain at the desired frequencies for decrease harmonic distortion in the alternative voltage or current. Harmonic compensators of PR controller are limited to several low-order harmonics due to the system instability when the compensated frequency is out of system control loop’s bandwidth. The average value of current flow through inductors of LCL filter is feedback to the PR current regulator. Zero D-axis Control (ZDC) is to control the generator side converter to reduce the DC-link ripples, multi-loop harmonic current controllers are applied to regulate the higher-order harmonics by PR regulators. Consequently control strategy with LCL filter is to reduce third-order function to first-order function. By this way large control loop gain can be chosen to obtain control loop for the required harmonic components of the PR controller. The simulation and experimental results have been illustrated to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method in MATLAB Simulink.

In grid connected system, unity power factor current injection into the grid is vital. This can be achieved by choosing the right inverter topology, passive filter components, current controllers, and PWM switching scheme. This paper compares the output current harmonics profile between when using the conventional proportional resonant (PR) current controller and when using the modified PR current controller. By applying the latter technique, via experimental validation using TMS320F2812, the THD of the injected grid current in a parallel connected inverters system is improved.

Abstract:
Robust control and flexible operation are the major objectives of islanded microgrid. A microgrid can have different configurations with linear loads and nonlinear loads. The harmonic current caused by nonlinear loads make Proportional Integral (PI) or Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) voltage controller far beyond excellent performance in case of microgrid operating in islanded mode. Additionally, the robustness of the PID closed loop system can not be guaranteed. The voltage control by using Proportional resonant (PR) controller are recommended. Although PR controller has the ability to sinusoidal signals. However, PR controller has a slight deviation of the frequency of selected harmonic component. This paper presents a Sliding Mode Control (SMC) for voltage control of parallel inverters operating in islanded microgrid. This controller can enhance the robustness of control system and reduced-state tracking error. The stability of the closed-system is verified by means of Lyapunov stability criterion. The control structure is based on the inner sliding mode closed-loop and the outer droop control loop. The main aim of this paper is to design inner controllers to enhance the dynamics of the microgrid. The results obtained from the simulation of Matlab.

Abstract:
Abstract The Smart Grid environment gives more benefits for the consumers, whereas the power quality is one of the challenging factors in the smart grid environment. To protect the system equipment and increase the reliability, different filter technologies are used. Even though, consumers’ expectations towards the power quality are not fulfilled. To overcome these drawbacks and enhance the system reliability, a new Custom Power Devices (CPD) are introduced in the system. Among different CPDs, the Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) is one of the voltage compensating devices that is used to improve the power quality during distortions. When the distortions such as voltage swell and sag occur in the distribution system, the control strategy in the DVR plays a significant role. In this article, the DVR performance using Proportional Integral (PI), Proportional Resonant (PR) controllers are analyzed. A robust optimization algorithm called Self Balanced Differential Evolution (SBDE) is used to find the optimal gain values of the controllers in order to reach the target of global minimum error and obtain fast response. Then, a comparative analysis is performed between different controllers and verified that the performance of PR controller is superior than the other controllers. It has been found that the proposed PR controller strategy reduces the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) values for all types of faults. The proposed SBDE optimized DVR with PR controller reduces the THD value less than 4% under voltage distoration condition. The DVR topology is validated in MATLAB/SIMULINK in order to detect the disturbance and inject the voltage to compensate the load voltage.

Abstract:
Family farming has great relevance when presenting the numbers of Brazilian food producing properties that supply the domestic market. In this scenario, we highlight the cultivation of mushrooms that can supplement income for small producers, due to the use of small spaces and good market acceptance. The A. blazei mushroom is a fungus consumed due to its medicinal value and the strengthening properties of the immune system. The cultivation of this type of fungus has specific characteristics of care, such as the constant monitoring of humidity and temperature, fundamental abiotic factors that can enable the good performance of the crop. In view of this, this work proposes the automation of the control and monitoring of temperature and humidity by means of sensors and microcontrollable devices, at affordable cost for the family agriculture, propitiating the reduction of the workmanship of the farmer. The Arduino platform was used for this purpose. The experiment was carried out in two phases, manual and automated, in order to compare the results and identify the productivity and the best form of cultivation, as well as the ideal humidity for the development of the crop in the region where the experiment was carried out. The beds in which the humidity and temperature sensors were installed showed facilities to handle the harvest. The second automated harvest showed a yield of 59.86 kg, with 4.31 kg of A. blazei mushroom in natura more than the first manual phase. The A. blazei presented better performance at the site with humidity close to 80%, with a standard deviation of 1.13. In this scenario, it is verified that the region in which the experiment was performed presents propitious conditions for the cultivation of A. blazei mushroom. The information was sent via Internet connection to the Thingswo Internet Things (IoT) web platform for data storage, which enabled the identification, monitoring and follow-up of the aspects of A. blazei growth at a distance.
Abstract: The city of Curitiba, in the beginning of the 20th century, underwent several changes. The increasing population, the territorial expansion, urban and architecture modernization represented, for a share of the society, the transformation of the city into an important urban center on the national scene. Nevertheless, associated to the modern city imaginary, laid the feelings of fear and insecurity, especially related to the otherness, to the unknown that hides amongst the crowds, shadows and alleys in the cities. Among the groups that form the "dangerous classes" are the prostitutes. Rank as "public women", they represent the target of vigilance and control practices engaged by the police institutions. The aim of this thesis is to investigate one of these practices: the implantation, issued by the Civil Police of Paraná, of records that identified the prostitutes. Initiated in 1929, the registration endured until 1937. At first, the analysis will focus on the context of the city and the place prostitution occupied in this society. This place is linked to the role of science in the 19th century, that transformed individuals of "dangerous classes" into investigation objects. The scientific thought , through its statements of truth, started to influence practices of social order, including those related to public security. Comprehending the development of identification methods requires the analysis of scientific thought persistency and its effects regarding behaviors that escape the norm. Furthermore, the analysis will focus on the appropriations and resignifications of the scientific speech in other spheres of the social field and the configuration of vigilance practices in prostitution. Finally, this research will analyze the identifying records as a device of power, likewise, under the perspective that these represent for historians an approximation, even if intermediate, with the prostitution group and its routine on the streets of Curitiba. The document analysis has been separated in two parts, the first being dedicated to writing and the second to the analysis of photographic registrations available in the medical records. Through this data, it will be possible to analyze the women that were identified as active individuals regarding its constitution as subjects. Key-words: Prostitution. Power relations. Identifying methods.

Family farming is configured as an important strategy for sustainable rural development, food production, job creation and community building and productive practices. In this context, the cities of Toledo and Maripá have increased both in fish production and productivity. Toledo is the first state of the producer in the fish farming sector with a production of about 50 million fry and about six million kilos of fish killed in 2015. But the municipality of Maripá in addition to the production there are the productivity. There are 89 fish farmers, who cultivate an area of about 125.0 ha of water surface, with an average yield of 7.0 t/ha, while the state average is about 2.5 t/ha. As such, good management of small rural property is of great importance for both tax requirements as to the knowledge of the results of the activity. Balance sheets, income statements and other reports based on rural accounting tools are of paramount importance for property management. Thus, this thesis analyzed the financial control of the activity of fish farming in family farming in the cities of Toledo and Maripá in the west of Paraná, listing the aspects of family farming, sustainable development and management real estate. Therefore, on the basis of documentary literature interviews, literature and field-directed fish farmers Toledana Aquaculture Association - Atoaqui and the Association of Aquaculture Aquaculture Producers - Aquimap. The results highlighted the low level of education of fish farmers, a greater financial dependence on activity by Maripá fish farmers, lack of effective financial control in the activity, the situation has an impact development of strategies and future investment. Also noteworthy are the weak provision of technical assistance by associations and the highest percentage of issuance of producer tax notes among Maripá fish farmers. As far as the environmental aspects are concerned, most of the properties comply with the legislation in force. In addition, there is no effective treatment of effluent produced by fish farms in both cities. In addition, research has shown the importance that activity on the income of the families surveyed, which contributes to the improvement of the quality of life of these. However, the major challenge in dealing with this same time, with all the daily financial, political and environmental activities and still manage related to rural properties. Thus, it is expected that this research will contribute to future studies, as well as contribute to the development of family farming, which has an important role in the development of cities and the country

Abstract:
The purpose of this work is to study the dispersion of heavy metals from lead mining on the Rocha stream tributary of the Ribeira de Iguape river at the border of the States of São Paulo and Paraná. Lead, copper and zinc were determined in the bottom sediments (fraction <2um) and surficial waters. The sediments were analized by strong acid dissolution methods(total concentrations) and sequencial chemical analysis, that together with the study of the main physic-chemical parameters of waters, allows us to identify contamination points within the drainage by means of heavy metals associations with particulate matter(transported); preferential associations were with iron and manganese oxides/hydroxides and carbonates. Every analized sample contained concentrations of the mentioned sedimentary heavy metals corresponding to levels way beyond tolerable limits. Lead determinations were also obtained for the hair of children living in the vicinities of the mining activities. Results should that in spite of the fact that the values were within the tolerable limits there may be a substantiable addition of lead to the living tissues of the sampled individuals by intestinal absorbtion.

Abstract:

Sprinkler irrigation, an artificial method of water application, supplies the whole or part of water that crops need. It can be used in several crops. Besides, it is easily adapted to different soils and topographies. Irrigation should be carried out according to the right bulk and uniformity, since it is an important factor to be considered when irrigation systems are under evaluation. Most losses are associated to a direct evaporation and wind drift of water. Thus, this study aimed at evaluating daytime and nighttime irrigation of a conventional sprinkler system, using the Christiansen Uniformity Coefficient (CUC) and quality control techniques. It was carried out at Adroaldo Augusto Colombo, a State Agricultural School in Palotina, Paraná. At the irrigation period, four Xcel-wobbler sprinklers were used, with an anti-drift system during day and nighttime. The weather parameters were recorded during the essays with an anemometer and thermo-hygrometer and both were digital and portable. The Christiansen Uniformity Coefficient was correlated with the process capability index ( ), and by Shewhart control charts, it was observed that irrigation was under control over time. In sprinkler irrigation, the best performance of the system was registered during the night period. At last, this trial concluded that in Palotina, PR, from July to September, the best period for sprinkler irrigation was up from four o clock P.M.

Abstract:
This chapter examines how the PRI’s candidate selection and recruitment changed from the hegemonic to the democratic era to capture how electoral competition strengthened the governors at the expense the corporatist sectors and other PRI groups. Under hegemony, the president controlled (through choosing or vetoing) which PRI politician appeared on the ballot, and thus could punish or benefit ambitious politicians within the wide-flung coalition. Once competition grew, however, a candidate’s popularity with voters began to weigh on these decisions and governors began to demand control over nominations for subnational and federal posts. Regime leaders had to devolve power over federal candidacies to state executives because of their ability to win votes for the party, decentralizing the party. National party leaders won a good deal of control over the closed-list PR seats for both the Chamber and the Senate. Most party-affiliated unions lost nomination power because they were unable to choose popular candidates or procure electoral victories, weakening their position within the party.

Abstract:
AbstractUnresectable locally recurrent breast cancers (LRBCs) lead to life-threatening situations and a tremendous loss of quality of life. Most patients have received radiotherapy (RT) during primary treatment and re-irradiation (re-RT) using standard doses might be denied due to the risk of unacceptable cumulative toxicity. Therefore, an effective tumor control is often abandoned.Mild hyperthermia (39–43 °C), allows for significant reductions in re-RT dose and effective tumor responses with acceptable toxicity even after heavy pretreatment. More than 280 patients have been treated with superficial hyperthermia by water-filtered infrared A (wIRA-HT), which can cover even large lesions. Hyperthermia was immediately followed by hypofractionated re-RT of 5x4 Gy, once a week.Evaluating 201 patients, overall response rate was 94%. 170 patients with macroscopic LRBC were stratified into 4 size classes (rClasses), and detailed response rates are presented. Accordingly, response rates of 31 patients with microscopic disease after resection of LRBC are communicated.RT-related acute and late toxicity was limited to grades 1 and 2. Due to this low toxicity, re-recurrences after CR and new local progression after PR could be re-treated using the same treatment schedule. Real-time thermographic and visual controls have allowed to almost exclude the risk of thermal skin damage.

Abstract:
There is a need for refining data security and privacy protection in virtual reality systems which are interactive, creative and dynamic, i.e. where at run-time mutually interactive objects can be added or removed in different contexts while their behavior can be modified. In virtual worlds of this kind, operations on particular objects either should or shouldn’t be allowed to users playing different roles with respect to inter-object interactions. In the VR-PR method presented in this chapter, where VR-PR stands for “Virtual Reality–Privilege Representation”, privileges are represented by pairs, each comprising an object and a meta-operation. Meta-operations are induced automatically from possible object interactions, i.e. generated using automatic analysis of the object method call graphs. Meta-operations reflect the method call scope admitted and are used in the process of creating and modifying privileges, which in turn is controlled by a validation mechanism. Expressive and flexible, privileges based on meta-operations are consistent with a set of objects composing a virtual world, as well as with the interactions between those objects, both interactions and objects permanently evolving. In this chapter it is shown in a series of use cases how the VR-PR approach can be applied to various types of object-oriented virtual worlds. The examples are followed by a broader discussion of the privilege lifecycle in the same virtual environment.
