Application of appropriate level of nitrogen (N) for rice is a key to increase nitrogen use efficiency thereby yields. Six rice genotypes under six N levels were evaluated in a split plot design with three replications under irrigated conditions in National Rice Research Program, Dhanusha during 2020 with the objective of determining the high yielding variety and the best dose of N for obtaining higher yield. The six rice genotypes were NR 2168, NR 2158, NR 2157-122, NR 2175, NR 2182 and PR 126 while various N levels were 0. 75, 100, 125, 150 and 175 kg N ha-1. The results indicated that NR 2182 recorded the highest grain yield of 5.28 t ha-1 while PR 126 recorded the lowest grain yield 3.98 t ha-1. A linear increase in grain yield was observed with a continuous increase in N level from 0 to 150 kg ha-1 while it decreased thereafter. The grain yield was significantly higher with the application of 150 kg N ha-1 as compared to control. Agronomic N use efficiency for studied rice genotypes varied significantly and ranged from negative to 12.63 kg grain yield per kg of N applied. NR 2182 recorded the highest value of agronomic nitrogen use efficiency for the N level of 150 kg ha-1. It can be concluded that increasing nitrogen levels resulted in significant variations in the response of different varieties, with all varieties consistently recording lower yields at highest N levels. Thus, opting for an intermediate N level appears both economically prudent and environmentally sustainable.

The microstructure and mechanical properties of AlSi5Cu1Mg alloy with (Pr+Ce) addition were investigated by optical microscopy (OM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results demonstrated that the rare earth (Pr+Ce) addition refined the grain. The long needle-like eutectic Si phases turned to granual. The secondary dendrite arm spacing (SADS) of the primary α-Al phase with the AlSi5Cu1Mg+0.6 wt.% (Pr+Ce) alloy reached the minimum value, which decreased by 50.2%. The mean length and the aspect ratio of the eutectic Si decreased by 78.8% and 67.4%. The ultimate tensile strength (UTS), the microhardness, and the breaking elongation of the AlSi5Cu1Mg+0.6 wt.% (Pr+Ce) alloy reached a maximum, and increased by 21.5%, 21.7%, and 8.0% compared to the AlSi5Cu1Mg alloy. The fracture examinations manifested in cleaved surfaces and brittle fracture areas, which were seen from the AlSi5Cu1Mg+0.6 wt.% (Pr+Ce) alloy. The number of dimples slightly increased.

Purpose: This paper aims to examine the role of public relations departments in universities and how they deal with graduates. Universities in general have PR departments that are created to increase the missions and strengthen the visions. Frequently, the PR department is responsible for enhancing the objectives of the university to improve its image to publics. This study therefore investigates the extent of the PR role as a tool for facilitating the achievement of the objectives of universities. Data for the study was collected from a sample of one hundred and twenty (120) respondents sampled from graduates of the university. Which %78.3 males and %21.7 females from different districts in Gaza Strip in Palestine. Findings from the study showed that the administration of the PR departments reinforces the affiliation of graduates to their universities. Furthermore, the PR departments mainly participate in holding graduation ceremonies and in coordinating with other departments. The PR departments continue with the graduates to assist them find suitable careers in the future. They also communicate with the graduates through various means of social connectivity websites.

The present study aimed to detect the parasitic fauna associated with black rats (Rattus rattus) from southeastern Algeria. It showed the presence of seven species of parasitic fungi namely Penicillium sp. (Prevalence Pr=91.3%), Aspergillus niger (Pr=91.3%), Alternaria sp. (Pr=58.7%), Cladosporium sp. (Pr=87%), Microsporum sp. (Pr=19.6%), Trichophyton sp. (Pr=21.7%) and Chrysosporium sp. (Pr=10.9%), noting that saprophytic fungi were the most recorded. On the other hand, according to the richness (S), adults (S = 7) and sub-adults (S = 7) of black rats were the most infested, with leaning for males compared to females, considering all the isolated species as satellites except the Chrysosporium sp. (2.9%) which is presented as a rare species. Concerning parasitic bacteria, aged rats were the most infected followed by adults and sub-adults where total coliforms were present in all individuals of the three classes tested. However, fecal streptococci were noted with a similar infestation rate in all age groups. Unlike this, clostridium sulfite-reducer (CSR) was mostly recorded on aged rats. Concerning the endoparasites found in the intestines of black rats, the pinworms (Syphacia muris, Syphacia obvelata, and Aspiculuris tetraptera) were more abundant than the other species. Hence, the current study allowed us to demonstrate that black rats can be considered an important reservoir of several microorganisms that can hold germs and represent a threat to biomedical and veterinary public health.

OBJECTIVE To identify and analyze the prevalence, trend, and factors associated with episiotomy in Rio Grande, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Southern Brazil. METHODS A single, standardized questionnaire was applied to all pregnant women, residents in the municipality of Rio Grande, who had children in local hospitals between January 1 and December 12 of the years 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016 e 2019. Demographic and socioeconomic characteristics were investigated, as well as the assistance received during pregnancy and delivery. Chi-square test was used to compare proportions and Poisson regression with robust variance adjustment was used for multivariable analysis. Prevalence ratio (PR) was used as effect measure. RESULTS Among the 12,645 births that occurred in the five years, 5,714 (45.2%) were vaginal delivery. Of these mothers, 2,930 (51.3%; 95%CI: 50.0%–52.6%) underwent episiotomy. Over this period, the episiotomy rate decreased from 70.9% (68.4–73.5) in 2007 to 19.4% (17.1–21.7) in 2019. Adjusted analysis showed a high PR of episiotomy occurrence among women who were young (PR = 2.23; 95%CI: 1.89–2.63), had higher education (PR = 1.21; 95%Cl: 1.03–1.42), had a higher family income (PR = 1.25; 95%CI: 1.10–1.41), were primiparous (PR = 3.41; 95%CI: 2.95–3.95), had prenatal care in the private sector (PR = 1.25; 95%CI: 1.07–1.46), had oxytocin-induced labor (PR = 1.18; 95%CI:1.09–1.27), underwent forceps (PR = 1.32; 95%CI: 1.16–1.50), and whose newborn weighed 4,000 g or more (PR = 1.43; 95%CI: 1.14–1.80). CONCLUSION Although the prevalence of episiotomy fell sharply within the studied period, its occurrence is more likely among women at lower risk of birth complications.

Abstract Introduction: The CodeBreaK 200 trial showed that in patients (pts) with advanced KRAS G12C mutated (KRAS+) NSCLC sotorasib, a KRAS G12C-specific inhibitor, is superior to docetaxel for progression free survival (PFS) (HR 0.66) with a one-year PFS of 25%. We hypothesized that the detection of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in plasma could allow for treatment response prediction and longitudinal monitoring. We analyzed serial plasma samples at baseline and within 3 months of start of sotorasib to evaluate ctDNA changes and correlation with clinical response. Methods: Pts with sotorasib treated KRAS+ NSCLC were prospectively enrolled in our biomarker START-TKI study (NCT05221372) after written informed consent. Plasma samples were collected prior to treatment (T0) and at first response evaluation (T1). The TruSight Oncology 500 ctDNA panel was used for mutation detection in cell-free DNA (cfDNA). cfDNA KRAS/TP53/STK11/KEAP1 status was determined and compared to tumor tissue pathology reports to filter out false positives. Radiological response and PFS was assessed per RECIST 1.1. Results: Between May 2021 and August 2022, 35 pts were included (table 1). Of these, 29 (83%) had detectable ctDNA KRAS G12C at T0, and 24 had both T0 and T1 samples. A decrease in variant allele frequency (VAF) at T1 compared to T0 was observed in 88% (n=21); 42% (n=10) showed complete clearance of ctDNA KRAS G12C. Six-months PFS was 83% in T0 negative pts (n=6) versus 43% in T0 positive pts (n=29); and 65% in pts with complete clearance (n=10) versus 14% in pts with incomplete clearance (n=11). VAF increase was seen in 3 pts, of which 1 had progression at T1. Conclusions: In pts with KRAS+ NSCLC treated with sotorasib, baseline ctDNA and ctDNA clearance within 3 months of treatment correlated with treatment response. Pts with undetectable KRAS ctDNA at baseline, or with complete clearance at first evaluation, had superior PFS. PFS will be updated as follow-up duration extends. Table 1. Sperm DNA fragmentation index (DFI) can be analyzed by a flow cytometric assay after treatment with acid and acridine orange. In this prospective, cohort study, the value of DFI was determined in a semen analysis collected before fertility treatment (baselineDFI) in 146 couples and during 1–3 intrauterine inseminations (IUI) in 211 couples (511 cycles). The pregnancy rate (PR)/cycle was 9.9% if baselineDFI was >10 and 21.7% if baselineDFI was ≤10, (p < 0.005). The live birth rate (LBR)/cycle was 5% if baselineDFI was >10 and 14.2% if baselineDFI was ≤10 (p < 0.005). PR/patient was 23.1% if baselineDFI was >10 and 45.5% if baselineDFI was ≤10 (p < 0.005). LBR/patient was 12.4% if baselineDFI was >10 and 34% if baselineDFI was ≤10 (p < 0.005). When isolating non-stimulated IUI cycles and couples with female age < 35, a significant difference in PR and LBR between couples with high DFI and low DFI was seen. Results suggest that DFI > 10 could advice against timed coitus and non-stimulated IUI cycles. Analysis for DFI performed before treatment provides information about PR and LBR after IUI.

Abstract Introduction: Although highly effective agents and novel therapeutic strategies are being developed, high-dose chemotherapy followed by autologous stem cell transplantation (HDT/ASCT) has not been overcome in the first-line treatment for fit patients (pts) with multiple myeloma. The objective of this work is to retrospectively analyze the use of this procedure in newly diagnosed Czech patients. Methods: Data were derived using the Czech Myeloma Group Registry of Monoclonal Gammopathies. By February 2 nd 2021, a total of 2154 newly diagnosed multiple myeloma patients who underwent HDT/ASCT were identified. Results: At the time of multiple myeloma diagnosis, the median age was 59 years; 24%/56%/14%/5%/1% pts were ECOG 0/1/2/3/4; 44%/32%/24% pts were ISS stage I/II/III; 14.5%/17.5%/68% and 84%/16% pts were Durie-Salmon stage I/II/III and subclassification A/B, respectively. The combinations of agents used in the induction regimen were proteasome inhibitor (PI), immunomodulatory drug (IMiD) and glucocorticoid (GC) in 28.5% (613/2154) pts; PI, GC and chemotherapy (CHT) in 24.8% (534/2154) pts; GC and CHT in 22,5% and IMiD, GC and CHT in 16.1% (346/2154). Other combination of drugs was used in 8.2% (177/2154) pts. It was registered that 3.7% (79/2154) induction regimens were switched to a different combination because of toxicity, patient's choice, poor peripheral venous access or other reasons. Single HDT/ASCT was performed in 77.3% (1665/2154) cases whereas tandem HDT/ASCT was given to 11.8% (254/2154) patients. In 10% (215/2154) cases, the transplantation technique was not specified. Nine percent (193/2154) patients were treated within a clinical study. The median progression free survival (mPFS) and the median overall survival (mOS) of the whole cohort was 28.9 and 92.1 months, respectively. Information about response to treatment before and after the high-dose therapy were available for 75.7% (1627/2154) and 92.2% (1987/2154) patients, respectively. Disease status at the time of HDT/ASCT was defined as stringent complete response (sCR) at 2.2% (36/1627), complete response (CR) at 11.9% (194/1627), very good partial response (VGPR) at 38.2% (621/1627), partial response (PR) at 40.9% (666/1627), minimal response (MR) at 3.6%, (58/1627), stable disease (SD) at 2.2% (36/1627), progressive disease (PD) at 1% (16/1627) patients. The overall response rate (ORR) on day 100 was 92.8% (sCR: 10.5% [209/1987], CR: 22.4% [446/1987], VGPR: 35% [696/1987], PR: 24.8% [493/1987], MR: 2.7% [54/1987], SD: 1.4% [27/1987], PD: 3.1% [62/1987]). We also performed a survival analysis of patients progressing up to 18 months after HDT/ASCT (n=1219) versus patients progressing in more than 18 months (n=935). The median OS was 41.5 versus 124.9 months, respectively. An analysis of the role of tandem HDT/ASCT in this real-world cohort will be presented at the conference. Conclusion: Globally as well as in the Czech Republic, HDT/ASCT is an important therapeutic approach in the first-line treatment of multiple myeloma. Our analysis of 2154 newly diagnosed transplant-eligible patients confirms high effectiveness - ORR of 92.8%, mPFS of 28.9 months, and long-term survival reaching mOS of 92.1 months. Abstract Purpose Accurate monitoring of predictive markers is of utmost importance as oncological treatment decisions almost entirely depend on these factors. In this study, we conducted a quality control assessment on hormone receptors, Her2 status, Ki67 Labelling Index (LI) and histological grading in breast cancer over 4 years (2015–2018). Methods Altogether 2214 consecutive breast cancer cases were included. Data on estrogen (ER) and progesterone receptors (PR), Her2 and Ki67, were available in all cases and were tested mostly on preoperative biopsies, in selected cases on postoperative surgical specimens. ER, PR, and Ki67 were assessed with immunohistochemistry (IHC), Her2 status with IHC and fluorescence in situ hybridization. Results ER/PR were positive in 74–79% cases, ER/PR/Her2 negative in 6.16–10.70% and Her2 positive in 11.49–13.88%/year. Ki67 had median values as 15–17.5% in ER/PR-positive cases, 55–60% in triple-negative cases and 30–32.50% in Her2-positive cases. Histological grading distribution for well (G1), moderately (G2) and poorly (G3) differentiated carcinomas was 15.8–19.1% for G1, 54.2–54.8% for G2 and 21.7–23.7% for G3 cases. Variation in yearly distributions was not significant in any of these markers. Conclusions Predictive markers displayed a yearly similar distribution in breast cancer cases independently of grading or of intrinsic subtypes. These results point to a qualitative high performance of predictive marker assessment in breast cancer, corresponding to expected on average positivity rate per marker and per year. It is recommended to monitor positivity rate of ER, PR, Ki67 and Her2 yearly or periodically to comply with quality assurance requirements.

Background: To assess the quantity of dentin exposure detected by 3 operators with different clinical expertise for 2 designs of tooth preparation for laminate veneers: window (WI) and butt joint (BJ). Methods: 20 intact maxillary central incisors were collected and then prepared for laminate veneers to a depth of 0.6 mm, with a cervical mini-chamfer finish line of 0.3 mm. Each prepared tooth was analyzed by 3 operators with different expertise: undergraduate student (ST), general practitioner (GP), and prosthodontist (PR), at sight under magnification. Besides descriptive statistics (CI 95%), 2-way ANOVA and Games–Howell tests were used to analyze differences among groups (α = 0.05). Results: The means of percentage and area of detected dentin exposure were WI = 30.48%, 21.57 mm2; BJ = 30.99%, 21.97 mm2; ST/WI = 22.82%, 16.44 mm2; GP/WI = 58.05%, 40.64 mm2; PR/WI = 10.55%, 7.63 mm2; ST/BJ = 28.99%, 20.83 mm2; GP/BJ = 40.56%, 28.32 mm2; PR/BJ = 23.42%, 16.75 mm2. Significant differences were found between ST/WI vs. GP/WI (p = 0.005) and GP/WI vs. PR/WI (p < 0.001). Conclusions: There was no difference in detection of exposed dentin among operators with different expertise for BJ preparation, whereas differences were found between the general practitioner and the other 2 operators in WI. Moreover, the quantity of exposed dentin was not related to different tooth preparation designs.

A Ontology Web Language (OWL), linguagem padrão para criação de ontologias na WS, se baseia em lógica descritiva para permitir uma modelagem formal de um domínio de conhecimento. A OWL, no entanto, não possui suporte para tratamento de incerteza, presente em diversas situações, o que motivou o estudo de várias alternativas para tratar este problema. O Probabilistic OWL (PR-OWL) adiciona suporte à incerteza ao OWL utilizando Multi-Entity Bayesian Networks (MEBN), uma linguagem probabilística de primeira ordem. A inferência no MEBN ocorre através da geração de uma rede bayesiana específica de situação (SSBN). O PR-OWL 2 estende a linguagem original oferecendo uma maior integração com o OWL e permitindo a construção de ontologias que mesclam conhecimento determinístico e probabilístico. PR-OWL não permite lidar com domínios que contenham bases assertivas muito grandes. Isto se deve a alta complexidade computacional da lógica descritiva na qual a OWL é baseada e ao fato de que as máquinas de inferência utilizadas nas implementações das versões do PR-OWL requerem que a base assertiva esteja carregada em memória. O presente trabalho propõe o PR-OWL 2 RL, uma versão escalável do PR-OWL baseada no profile OWL 2 RL e em triplestores. O OWL 2 RL permite raciocínio em tempo polinomial para as principais tarefas de inferência. Triplestores permitem armazenar triplas RDF (Resource Description Framework) em bancos de dados otimizados para trabalhar com grafos. Para permitir a geração de SSBN para bases contendo muitas evidências, este trabalho propõe um novo algoritmo, escalável ao instanciar nós de evidência apenas caso eles influenciem o nó objetivo. O plug-in PR-OWL 2 RL para o framework UnBBayes foi desenvolvido para permitir uma avaliação experimental dos algoritmos propostos. O estudo de caso abordado foi o de fraudes em licitações públicas. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT<br>Semantic Web (SW) adds semantic information to the traditional Web, allowing computers to understand content before accessible only by human beings. The Web Ontology Language (OWL), main language for building ontologies in SW, allows a formal modeling of a knowledge domain based on description logics. OWL, however, does not support uncertainty. This restriction motivated the creation of several extensions of this language. Probabilistic OWL (PROWL) improves OWL with the ability to treat uncertainty using Multi-Entity Bayesian Networks (MEBN). MEBN is a first-order probabilistic logic. Its inference consists of generating a Situation Specific Bayesian Network (SSBN). PR-OWL 2 extends the PR-OWL offering a better integration with OWL and its underlying logic, allowing the creation of ontologies with deterministic and probabilistic parts. PR-OWL, however, does not deal with very large assertive bases. This is due to the high computational complexity of the description logic of OWL. Another fact is that reasoners used in PR-OWL implementation require that the data be fully load into memory at the time of inference. To address this issue, this work proposes PR-OWL 2 RL, a scalable version of PR-OWL based on OWL 2 RL profile and on triplestores. OWL 2 RL allows reasoning in polynomial time for the main reasoning tasks. Triplestores can store RDF (Resource Description Framework) triples in databases optimized to work with graphs. To allow the generation of SSBNs for databases with large evidence base, this work proposes a new algorithm that is scalable because it instantiates an evidence node only if it influence a target node. A plug-in for the UnBBayes framework was developed to allow an empirical evaluation of the new algorithms proposed. A case study over frauds into procurements was carried on.

Previous issue date: 2012-08-10<br>This dissertation consists of an analytical-critical study about the construction
of the historical local narrative of Guarapuava city, in Paraná State. With this purpose
we took as primary sources written materials for teaching purposes and textbooks to
be used in teaching the history of that city. We based our analysis on the theoretical
framework of cultural history, trying to understand these materials within their
contexts of production and authorship. The main focus was to observe the way the
books show a model of identity of the person born in Guarapuava, serving as a
space of representation of social portion in question. We also discussed issues
concerning the teaching of history, observing how it was sought to legitimize a
"version" on the local history from their school education. We realized that the model
of identity that is presented is related to a partial view of history forged within the
group which uses it to represent itself, thus establishing positions in the social
structure. We further noted that this narrative presents in its construction elements
that are part of the social imaginary, highlighting the figure of "heroes", politicians and
pioneers, while, at the same time, establishing a place of the "other". It is possible to
say that the model of identity of the guarapuavano , identified in the sources,
although is placed as pattern, refers to a social group that represents themselves and
maintain their social and political prestige, given that this story also serves as a
means of maintaining and legitimizing the power of this group, being often used as
the official history of Guarapuava<br>Esta dissertação consiste em um estudo de cunho analítico-crítico sobre a
construção da narrativa histórica local da cidade de Guarapuava/PR. Com esse
intuito tomamos como fontes principais materiais escritos com fins didáticos e
paradidáticos para serem usados no ensino da história da referida cidade. Pautamos
nossas análises no referencial teórico da história cultural, buscando assim
compreender tais materiais dentro de seus contextos de produção e autoria. O
principal foco foi perceber o modo pelo qual os livros evidenciam um modelo de
identidade do guarapuavano , servindo como espaço de representação da parcela
social em apreço. Discutimos ainda questões relativas ao ensino de história,
observando como se buscou legitimar uma versão sobre a história local a partir de
seu ensino escolar. Percebemos que o modelo de identidade que se apresenta diz
respeito a uma visão parcial da história forjada dentro do próprio grupo que se utiliza
dela para se representar, estabelecendo assim posicionamentos na estrutura social.
Observamos ainda que tal narrativa apresenta em sua construção elementos que
fazem parte do imaginário social, destacando a figura de heróis , políticos e
pioneiros, ao mesmo tempo em que estabelece o lugar do outro . É possível
afirmarmos que o modelo de identidade doguarapuavano identificado nas fontes,
embora seja colocado como padrão, diz respeito a um grupo social que se auto-representa e mantém seu prestígio social e político, haja vista que tal narrativa serve
também como meio de manutenção e legitimação do poderdeste grupo, sendo
frequentemente utilizada como a história oficial de Guarapuava

The research/study based on the historical and theoretical-methodological referential related, while determined subject, to the analysis and understanding of variables and determinations in civil construction in the capital/working relation appropriating its manifestations in the informality field. To query the object intimacy we brought up the following research problem: If civil construction is an economical activity segment that requires guidelines in its effectual process and it is totally made of complex qualities and determinations, what is the reason for the progressive growth in the last few years in the hired workforce in the field of juridical relations guided in the working relation informality? To mind and answer the research problem, what follows is proposed as general objective: Understand and analyze civil construction segment variables in the capital/working relation and its manifestation in the field of relations enclosed in informality, tendencies and responsibilities in the city of Cascavel, Pr. This path took us to acquire as statistical data empiric material, reports and working economy studies from municipal, state and federal departments, and also perform a field research done through an instrumental questionnaire. These procedures allowed us to learn about the subject movement and tend its determinations by analytical mechanism according to the method that guides us. The research took place downtown and in the suburbs of the city of Cascavel, right on the work site, from August to October 2006 and its subjects were employee and employers classified as entrepreneurs, construction companies in their different occupations and professions, totaling 130 interviewees. The study led us to identify that informality in working relation is a consequence of a capitalist production way. That workers, basically males, from the countryside, with almost no education, without any other professional options, and in this occupation/profession for years, find themselves in unstable conditions, according to the law, among others, motivated by economical, social, institutional, legislations, labor, ideological and personal issues<br>O presente trabalho dissertativo traz como tema central a Informalidade nas Relações de Trabalho na Construção Civil no Município de Cascavel PR. O estudo-pesquisa fundamentado no referencial teórico-metodológico e histórico pautou-se, enquanto objeto determinado, na compreensão e análise das variáveis e determinações na construção civil na relação capital-trabalho, apropriando as suas manifestações no âmbito da informalidade. Para perquerir a intimidade do objeto em estudo, trouxemos como problema da pesquisa Se a construção civil é um segmento de atividade econômica que exige regularidade em seu processo de efetivação e compõe-se em sua totalidade de determinações e qualidades complexas, por que o crescimento progressivo, nos últimos anos da força de trabalho contratada no âmbito das relações jurídicas foi pautado na informalidade das relações do trabalho? . Para atender e responder ao problema desta pesquisa propôs-se como objetivo geral: Compreender e analisar as variáveis do segmento da construção civil na relação capital e trabalho e sua manifestação no âmbito das relações pautadas na informalidade, das tendências e responsabilidades, no município de Cascavel, PR. Este caminho levou-nos a ter, como material empírico de estudo, dados estatísticos de órgãos oficiais, relatórios da organização e da economia do trabalho do município, bem como uma pesquisa de campo que foi aplicada por meio de questionários. Estes procedimentos possibilitaram apreender o movimento do objeto e tratar suas determinações por mecanismos analíticos conforme o método que nos fundamenta. A pesquisa teve como sujeitos os trabalhadores e empregadores, estes classificados como empreiteiros pessoas físicas, construtoras pessoas jurídicas e proprietários donos de obras, em suas diferentes ocupações / profissões, durante os meses de agosto a outubro de 2006, diretamente nos canteiros de obras, de localização espacial central e nos bairros da cidade de Cascavel, perfazendo uma amostra de 130 entrevistados. Previous issue date: 2008-08-22<br>Refrigerated storage is the main technology for maturity control and for minimizing deterioration of the fruit. However, because kaki (‘Fuyu’) is sensitive to cold temperatures, it can develop physiological disorders depending on the temperature
and period of storing. Thus, considering its commercial value, this study aims to contribute with knowledge related to its postharvest quality. Commercial product Promalin® was applied to a plant sample of the fruit whereas another sample did not receive the product. The harvested fruit were stored in cold chamber (4ºC, commercial use) and in room temperature (20 to 26 ºC). The quality loss of the fruit was monitored during the storage. The cold chamber kept good fruit firmness quality for commercialization over 16 days, for both treatments, without and with the Promalin® application in the orchard, while in room temperature the periods were 16
and 8 days respectively. And Promalin® contributed for the bettering of firmness of these stored fruit, during the same time period, in the cold chamber. The Promalin® product anticipated the loss of firmness at room temperature compared to fruit that did not receive this product, and the activity of the poligalacturonase (PG) enzyme was coincident. The enzyme activity was coincident, whereas to what concerned to the poliphenoloxidase (PFO) enzyme, as long as the fruit presented acceptable firmness for its commercialization in cold chamber, there were not significant
changes in its activity neither in those fruit without Promalin® nor in those which received the application of this product in the orchard. The total soluble solids, measured as °Brix, did not suffer significant change during its storage in cold
chamber.<br>O armazenamento sob refrigeração é a principal tecnologia para retardar o metabolismo e consequentemente controlar a maturação e minimizar a deterioração de frutos. No entanto, o caqui por ser sensível ao frio, pode desenvolver desordens
fisiológicas, dependendo da temperatura e do período de armazenagem. Assim, considerando a importância comercial do caqui ‘Fuyu’, essa pesquisa teve por meta fazer uma contribuição ao conhecimento relacionado com a pós-colheita desse fruto. Em frutos de uma amostra de plantas de caqui foi aplicado o produto comercial Promalin® e outra amostra não recebeu esse produto. Os frutos colhidos foram armazenados em câmara fria (4ºC, uso comercial) e em temperatura ambiente (20 a 26ºC). A qualidade dos frutos foi monitorada durante a armazenagem. A utilização da câmara fria manteve a boa firmeza dos frutos para a comercialização acima de 16
dias, para ambos os tratamentos, sem e com a aplicação de Promalin® no pomar, enquanto que, na temperatura ambiente os tempos foram de 16 e 8 dias, respectivamente. E o Promalin® contribuiu para a melhoria da firmeza desses frutos
armazenados, em igual tempo, na câmara fria. O produto Promalin® antecipou a perda de firmeza de frutos armazenados à temperatura ambiente, em comparação
com frutos que não receberam esse produto, e, a atividade da enzima poligalacturonase (PG) foi coincidente. Com relação à atividade da enzima polifenoloxidase (PFO), enquanto o fruto apresentou firmeza aceitável para a comercialização em câmara fria não houve mudança significativa de sua atividade,
tanto nos sem Promalin® como nos frutos que receberam a aplicação desse produto no pomar. Os sólidos solúveis totais, medidos como °Brix, não sofreram mudança significativa durante o armazenamento em câmara fria.

The objectives defined in this research were to establish a parallel between the teaching of reading and the reader in the construction of meaning; propose some actions of teaching practices conducive to teaching inferences as well as expanding slightly the reality of classes in public schools. The use of texts related to gender "chronic" permeated the activities proposed for analysis and data collection, as it served as the basis for the planning and execution of the reading classes of students during the pedagogical intervention period. The concern in setting a teaching practice that rescue the importance of reading for the student's social life is suggested in all the processes of research, since one of the functions of the teacher of Portuguese Language is to be a literacy agent.<br>O presente trabalho busca apresentar uma metodologia que desenvolva o h?bito de leitura dos alunos do 9? ano do ensino Fundamental da rede p?blica estadual de ensino, a fim de que os amadure?a enquanto leitores. Os objetivos definidos nesta pesquisa foram estabelecer um paralelo entre o ensino da leitura e o leitor na constru??o de sentidos; propor algumas a??es de pr?ticas docentes favor?veis ao ensino de infer?ncias, al?m de fomentar um pouco a realidade das classes da rede p?blica de ensino. average level technical professional education in IFAP, campus Macap?. From a qualitative
approach was chosen as a research method, the case study and as instruments for data
collection, semi-structured interviews and questionnaire involving pedagogues, teachers and
coordinators of technical courses. Treatment and data analysis followed the content analysis
technique, thematic modality of Bardin. The light of the theoretical framework was
discussed about the work of school pedagogue, from a historical approach to the profession
and changes in their training and role each season, then the trajectory of education in Brazil
for understanding the current context it is part of the Federal Institutes and the challenges
and prospects of jobs to pedagogue within that institution. In particular, the survey allowed
to characterize the work of the pedagogues in the average level technical professional
education, situation the role and activities of the same in IFAP, campus Macap?. In the final
considerations are pointed out some important steps, given a new professional practice of
pedagogues in this space, more active and committed to the democratization of knowledge
and social transformation.<br>O presente estudo aborda a atua??o do pedagogo no desenvolvimento de a??es pedag?gicas
na educa??o profissional t?cnica de n?vel m?dio no IFAP, campus Macap?. A partir de uma
abordagem qualitativa, escolheu-se como m?todo de pesquisa o estudo de caso e como
instrumentos para coletas de dados, entrevistas semiestruturadas e question?rio, envolvendo
pedagogos, coordenadores de cursos t?cnicos e professores. O tratamento e an?lise dos
dados seguiu a t?cnica de an?lise de conte?do, na modalidade tem?tica, de Bardin. ? luz do
referencial te?rico, discutiu-se sobre o trabalho do pedagogo escolar, a partir de uma
abordagem hist?rica da profiss?o e das mudan?as ocorridas na sua forma??o e papel em cada
?poca, seguida da trajet?ria da educa??o profissional no Brasil, para compreens?o do atual
contexto em que se inserem os Institutos Federais e os desafios e as perspectivas de trabalho
postos ao pedagogo no ?mbito dessa institui??o. De modo particular, a pesquisa permitiu

established by banking professionals in their daily lives, is captured and understood. The research conduction aims the apprehension of the dimensions of the bank worker s actions in
a setting of technical, scientific and organizational transformations. The spatial and temporal delimitation of the research subjects occurred on the established relationships of city and metropolitan area officials of Maringa from 2000 to 2010. We searched for quantitative and qualitative theoretical and methodological elements, based on content with macro-corporate reference, Marxian and Marxist tradition, highlighting the literary work The Late Capitalism, by Ernest Mandel. It is believed this reflection to be very important, because it is necessary to rethink the position of work in the contemporary social relations, considering the banking sector, which is spread increasingly, new forms of control and work dominations. The intense process of both technological and organizational restructuring changed significantly the bank jobs, consequently, refracted in the power relations constituted within financial institutions, the personal and the professional profile of the bank worker, as well as its objective / subjective field. This foundation was subsidized with directed literature, and allowed us, through the Marxist orthodoxy, to rebuild the object in question, which led us to understand that, the bank worker sells his labor and more than that, delivers his live individuality. We could therefore capture the dynamics of the ideological manipulation of workers consciences by banking companies; up to the point that the "fear" itself and the manipulation of the "affection became standard practice among the banking companies.<br>O trabalho dissertativo que ora apresentamos é resultado da idealização da necessidade do debate acerca do questionamento de como o sentido oculto do valor do trabalho, apresentado nas relações estabelecidas pelos profissionais bancários em seu cotidiano, é apreendido e compreendido. A condução da pesquisa tem como objetivo a apreensão das dimensões das ações do trabalhador bancário em um cenário de transformações técnicas, científicas e organizacionais. A delimitação espacial e temporal dos sujeitos da pesquisa ocorreu sobre as relações estabelecidas dos funcionários da cidade e região metropolitana de Maringá no período de 2000 a 2010. Buscamos elementos teórico-metodológicos quantitativos e
qualitativos, fundamentados em conteúdos de referência macrosocietária, marxiana e da tradição marxista, com destaque à obra O Capitalismo Tardio, de Ernest Mandel. Acredita-se
na relevância da presente reflexão, pois, é preciso repensar o lugar do trabalho nas relações sociais contemporâneas, haja vista no setor bancário, em que, disseminam-se de forma
crescente, novas formas de controle e dominação no trabalho. O intenso processo de reestruturação tanto tecnológica como organizacional modificou, de forma significativa o trabalho nos bancos, consequentemente, refratou nas relações de poder constituídas no interior das instituições financeiras, o perfil pessoal e profissional do trabalhador bancário, bem como seu campo objetivo/subjetivo. Subsidiamos esse fundamento com literatura direcionada, permitindo-nos, por meio da ortodoxia marxista, reconstruir o objeto em questão, o que nos levou a compreender que, o trabalhador bancário vende sua mercadoria força de trabalho e, mais, entrega sua individualidade viva. The Mogao Grottoes, also known as the Mogao Caves or the Thousand Buddhas Caves, is located at the southeast of Dunhuang, northwestern China. It is a very important cultural heritage site on the Silk Road and was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. Mogao Grottoes is a Buddhist shrine with 45,000 square meters of wall paintings and 3,000 sculptures within 492 cave temples from the 4th to 14th centuries; it is also known as the world’s largest existing cave temple with the richest content of Buddhist art. In 1900, the Library Cave was discovered, in which more than 50,000 well-preserved manuscripts, silk paintings, and other relics of important academic research value were. With its long history and profound culture, Mogao Grottoes became a hot tourist destination in China. A growing numbers of visitors, especially in recent years, bring great challenges for heritage preservation and tourism at Mogao. Dunhuang Academy developed a preservation and utilization project in order to cope with this conflict between preservation and tourism, ensure the heritage is well, and develop sustainable tourism.
This paper analyzes the current visitor management methods and the risks from visitors and evaluates the proposals for cave carrying capacity, visitor capacity management, visitor flow management, and a visitor center, including the good points of each and the potential problems associated with the caves preservation, site security, and visitors’ experiences. Finally, the paper discusses the overall project and proposes a recommendation for visitor management and developing sustainable tourism at Mogao Grottoes.<br>text

The objective of this work was to estimate the quantity of carbon stored by four main clones of rubber tree cultivated in South Cameroon: GT 1, PB 217, PR 107 and RRIC 100. The forest inventory method was used to measure trees morphological parameters, the latter used to calculate carbon storage using the allometric equation of Wauters et al., (2008). The main morphological parameters measured were: leaf area index (LAI), circumference (C), diameter at breast height (DBH) and total tree height (h). Comparing the morphological parameters of clones two by two using a Dunn test, we observe significant differences in the circumference, the diameter and even very significant in the leaf area index, but not in the height. The clones GT 1, PR 107, PB 217, and RRIC 100 stored on average: 111.05 tC / ha, 150.18 tC / ha, 165.25 tC / ha, and 187.25 tC/ha respectively. A significant difference was established between the means of carbon storage of the clones GT 1 and PB 217 (p = 0.0488) on one hand and, that of the clones GT 1 and RRIC 100 (p = 0.0240), on the other hand. These results are an estimation of models, further research can be undertaken for exact measurements.

Introdução: A saúde da população em situação de rua surge como relevante discussão no espaço da saúde e ação social. Nesse sentido, deve-se considerar as necessidades de saúde desta população voltadas à prevenção das infecções sexualmente transmissíveis, visto a vulnerabilidade desse grupo populacional. A estratégia Consultório na Rua foi instituída em 2011 e visa ampliar o acesso da população em situação de rua aos serviços de saúde, ofertando de maneira mais oportuna atenção integral à saúde para esse grupo populacional. Em Cascavel (PR), a equipe do Consultório na Rua realiza atendimentos desde 2016 e, em 2020, a oferta de testes rápidos para vírus da imunodeficiência humana, sífilis e hepatites B e C foi introduzida como rotina. Objetivo: Este estudo tem o objetivo de identificar a prevalência de vírus da imunodeficiência humana, sífilis, hepatite B e C por meio dos resultados reagentes em testes rápidos realizados na população em situação de rua, correlacionando com os da população em geral, obtidos nas demais unidades de saúde do município. Métodos: Foi realizado o levantamento dos testes rápidos realizados no período de outubro de 2020 a abril de 2021, totalizando 4.554 testagens. Nas demais unidades de saúde foram realizadas 4.396 testagens, que identificaram com resultados reagentes: vírus da imunodeficiência humana 1,3% (60), sífilis 6,1% (269), hepatite B 0,24% (9), hepatite C 0,06% (3). Pelo Consultório na Rua foram realizadas 158 testagens, sendo reagentes: vírus da imunodeficiência humana 3,16% (5), sífilis 10,7% (17), hepatite B 1,2% (2) e hepatite C 4,4% (7). Conclusão: Diante da alta prevalência encontrada e considerando a fácil aplicalidade dos testes rápidos no atendimento ao indivíduo em situação de rua, seja pelo Consultório na Rua, seja por outros serviços de saúde, aponta-se a importância da oferta das testagens, com intuito de facilitar o acesso à prevenção, ao diagnóstico e ao tratamento de vírus da imunodeficiência humana, sífilis, hepatites B e C.

Introdução: Estima-se que haja 0,4% de grávidas com vírus da imunodeficiência humana no Brasil, apesar da provável subnotificação em relação à meta de 90% de detecção, 90% de tratamento e 90% de supressão da carga viral estabelecida pela Organização Mundial da Saúde. Outrossim, enquanto percebe-se o declínio da taxa mundial de novos casos para vírus da imunodeficiência humana e aids, é notável o aumento na prevalência de mulheres infectadas no Brasil, correspondendo a 31% da incidência, refletindo no alcance da doença às mulheres gestantes. Objetivo: Análise de fatores sociodemográficos de gestantes com vírus da imunodeficiência humana em um município do Sul do Brasil. Métodos: Estudo descritivo, longitudinal e retrospectivo, com fonte de dados derivados da Ficha de Notificação de Agravos do Sistema de Controle de Exames Laboratoriais, bem como dos prontuários de gestante com vírus da imunodeficiência humana que fizeram uso do Serviço de Assistência Especializada/Centro de Testagem e Aconselhamento no Município de Ponta Grossa (PR) entre janeiro de 2008 e dezembro de 2018. Resultados: Das 170 gestantes analisadas, 119 (70%) tinham de 20 a 34 anos, 142 (83,5%) se autodeclaravam brancas, 125 (73,5%) desempenhavam atividade laboral remunerada, 99 (58,2%) concluíram ensino fundamental e 169 (99,4%) tinham domicílio em zona urbana. Conclusão: A configuração sociodemográfica apresentada nos resultados nos alarma para a prevalência de mulheres jovens, com baixa escolaridade e sem prestação de trabalho remunerado. A manutenção dessa estrutura reflete-se no fato de que, embora a maioria das gestantes tenha realizado pré-natal, a falha no controle virológico contribui para os desfechos negativos evitáveis. Ademais, ressalta-se o nível de escolaridade como ferramenta imprescindível para a discernimento do processo de circulação viral, tendo em vista que, a partir do conhecimento profilático e preventivo da infecção pelo vírus da imunodeficiência humana, as mulheres gozarão de autonomia para exercer sua saúde sexual e seus direitos reprodutivos.

Introdução: Os casos de vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids tiveram aumento principalmente entre jovens do sexo masculino, e tal fato se deve, provavelmente, à menor aderência ao tratamento. Objetivo: Descrever o perfil epidemiológico de pessoas vivendo com vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids em tratamento antirretroviral no município de Ponta Grossa (PR). Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo de coorte retrospectivo com dados oriundos de prontuários de pessoas vivendo com vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids no período de janeiro de 2012 a junho de 2019, no serviço de atenção especializada do município de Ponta Grossa. As variáveis de interesse no estudo foram: faixa etária, sexo e carga viral da última consulta de cada paciente. Foram incluídos no estudo os prontuários com: data de nascimento, resultado do exame da carga viral, sexo e data da consulta. Resultados: No período analisado foram coletados dados de 922 pacientes. Verificou-se que 55,63% eram do sexo masculino. A faixa etária predominante foi de 40-49 anos (28,4%), seguida por 30-39 anos (28%). Foi observado que 77,02% das mulheres e 73,10% dos homens tiveram carga viral abaixo de 200 cópias/mL ou indetectável. Na análise por faixa etária, foi verificada carga viral abaixo de 200 cópias/mL ou indetectável em 88% de idosos (+60), em 80,36% na faixa de 50-59 anos, em 77,48% na faixa de 40-49 anos, em 71,32% da faixa de 30-39 anos e em 64,63% da faixa de 0-29 anos. Conclusão: Há a necessidade da continuidade e expansão do atendimento diferenciado para as diferentes faixas etárias e sexos, visto que a adesão ao tratamento, refletido na carga viral, é diferente entre os grupos, o que sugere abordagem diferenciada entre homens e jovens para verificação da adesão e uso correto da terapia antirretroviral.

Introdução: A sífilis não tratada ou inadequadamente tratada, quando ocorre na gestação, pode levar à transmissão vertical e resultar em aborto, natimorto, prematuridade ou várias manifestações clínicas, muitas vezes inaparentes ao nascimento. Assim, a sífilis congênita trata-se de uma doença que pode ser prevenida pelo diagnóstico precoce da infecção na gestante e seu tratamento adequado. Objetivo: Analisar as características da sífilis congênita no município de Cascavel (PR), comparando com os números nacionais, estaduais e municipais, a fim de entender como o manejo de cada gestante pode contribuir em cada caso de sífilis congênita e então auxiliar nas ações para controle desse agravo. Métodos: Estudo retrospectivo, de caráter descritivo, bibliográfico e documental, feito por meio de levantamento de dados epidemiológicos, na forma de notificação compulsória, de onde obtiveram-se informações dos casos de sífilis congênita no município de Cascavel entre o segundo semestre de 2017 e o primeiro semestre de 2020, num total de 70 crianças. Resultados: Embora 82,8% das gestantes tenham realizado pré-natal, 85,7% delas não receberam tratamento ou o fizeram de forma inadequada. Como desfecho da sífilis gestacional, tivemos no período analisado quatro abortamentos (5,71%) e sete natimortos (10%). E apesar de a cidade de Cascavel liderar a comparação em âmbito municipal, estadual e nacional entre o número de diagnósticos de sífilis gestacional, nossa cidade ficou em último lugar no desfecho da sífilis congênita. Conclusão: Um pré-natal adequado, com diagnóstico precoce e manejo da mulher infectada e de suas parcerias sexuais, e posteriormente os cuidados na maternidade são peças fundamentais na prevenção da sífilis congênita. Dessa maneira, a ampliação dos esforços de notificação, além de melhorias na qualidade do pré-natal e do tratamento, é imprescindível para impedir que o concepto sofra com uma evolução desfavorável.

To better understand and facilitate design of an impinging jet device, the heat transfer on a cylindrical target exposed to radial impinging slot jets was investigated using numerical methods. Numerical models were created to test the performance of the Shear Stress Transport (SST), Standard and Realizable k-epsilon, v2f, and Reynolds Stress Model (RSM) turbulence models versus published test data. Based on the validation study the v2f model was ultimately selected for further work. Models were then constructed to simulate a cylinder exposed to a radial array of slot jets. Parametric variations were conducted to produce information about the influence of jet speed, nozzle count, and other independent design variables upon heat transfer. Nozzle count was varied from 2 to 8, jet Reynolds number ranged from 5,000 to 80,000, and target diameter varied from 5 to 10 times the nozzle hydraulic diameter. The interaction of adjacent opposed wall jets caused a static pressure rise and resulted in flow separation on the surface of the cylindrical target. This separation and the fountain flow between the two wall jets greatly influenced the local heat transfer, causing a rise in Nu of an order of magnitude. The resulting average Nu values varied from 19 to 217 and were condensed into a correlation equation incorporating target curvature, number of nozzles, Re, and Pr.

Introdução: Os novos antivirais de ação direta modificaram radicalmente o panorama da hepatite C. Medicamentos bem tolerados e seguros, possibilitando tratamentos curtos e eficazes. Objetivo: Avaliar a resposta virológica sustentada dos portadores de hepatite C crônica tratados no Centro Especializado de Doenças Infecto-Parasitárias de Cascavel (PR) de 2018 a 2020 e estratificá-los conforme sexo, idade, genótipo, fibrose hepática e coinfecção com vírus da imunodeficiência humana. Métodos: Análise retrospectiva dos prontuários de pacientes tratados por hepatite C crônica de 01/01/2018 a 31/12/2020 no Centro Especializado de Doenças Infecto-Parasitárias de Cascavel. As informações foram coletadas utilizando uma tabela contendo as variáveis. Os dados foram digitados em planilha eletrônica do programa LibreOffice Calc, procedendo-se à análise descritiva. Resultados: No período avaliado foram tratados 101 pacientes, 64 (63%) homens e 37 (37%) mulheres. Predominou a faixa etária entre 40 e 59 anos com 64 pacientes (63%), 22 (22%) tinham 60 anos ou mais e 15 (15%) entre 18 e 39 anos. Houve predomínio do genótipo 1 com 59 pacientes (58%), seguido pelo genótipo 3 em 39 (39%) e genótipo 2 em 3 (3%). Apenas três pacientes (3%) apresentavam coinfecção por vírus da imunodeficiência humana/vírus da hepatite C. A maioria dos pacientes não apresentava diagnóstico de cirrose hepática, totalizando 84 (83%), enquanto 17 (17%) eram cirróticos. Os tratamentos administrados, em sua maioria, tiveram duração de 12 semanas: 94 (93%). Cinco (5%) tiveram duração de 24 semanas e dois (2%) de oito semanas. Atingiram resposta virológica sustentada 87 pacientes (86%), um paciente (1%) não alcançou resposta virológica sustentada, cinco foram a óbito durante ou poucas semanas após o término do tratamento e oito (8%) não retornaram até o momento para avaliação da resposta. Conclusão: Considerando os pacientes que concluíram o tratamento e realizaram avaliação da resposta virológica sustentada, a taxa encontrada foi de 98,8%, em conformidade com os resultados encontrados na literatura médica.

Introdução: Disfunções decorrentes da infecção pelo vírus da imunodeficiência humana tornam o organismo vulnerável a doenças oportunistas, e, entre as que acometem o sistema nervoso central, a toxoplasmose é a mais frequente. Objetivo: Investigar o perfil clínico- -epidemiológico e sociodemográfico e os fatores de risco de pacientes com diagnóstico de vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids coinfectados com T. gondii em Foz do Iguaçu (PR). Métodos: Estudo comparativo e de abordagem quantitativa realizado com 332 pacientes vírus da imunodeficiência humana positivos, acompanhados no Serviço de Assistência Especializada em Foz do Iguaçu. As informações foram obtidas por meio de prontuários e aplicação de um questionário contendo 27 questões objetivas. A associação entre o estado parasitado (variável dependente) e as variáveis independentes foi avaliada com o teste de qui-quadrado (X2) e de Pearson. Todas as variáveis que obtiveram p8.804,0,20 na análise de qui-quadrado foram incluídas na análise multivariada odds ratio, intervalo de confiança 95%, 945, <0,05. Resultados: Dos 332 pacientes analisados, 111 apresentaram sorologia para toxoplasmose, indicando alta taxa de infecção por T. gondii. Houve prevalência entre aqueles com faixa etária 8.805, 18 e 8.804, 60 anos e que estudaram até a quarta série do ensino fundamental e o ensino superior (incompleto/completo) (p<0,05). Permaneceram na análise multivariada os fatores de risco: pacientes com terceiro grau (incompleto/completo) e que consumiam água de poço tiveram mais chances de adquirir a infecção por T. gondii em 0,2 e 3,0 vezes mais, respectivamente. Entre pacientes com diagnóstico para neurotoxoplasmose, 63,6% estavam com níveis de T CD4<200 e carga viral com níveis detectáveis. Foram detectados neurotoxoplasmose (3,31%) e toxoplasmose ocular (3,61%), 54,1% (60/111) dos pacientes possuíam T CD4<200, dos quais 56,8% (46/60) apresentaram resultado positivo para IgG anti-T. gondii. Conclusão: Este trabalho permitiu uma caracterização do perfil de pacientes infectados com vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids e coinfectados com toxoplasmose em um município de tríplice fronteira, tratando-se de um estudo pioneiro na região.

Introdução: De 2007 até junho de 2020, foram notificados no Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação 342.459 casos de infecção pelo vírus da imunodeficiência humana no Brasil, tendo a maior proporção de diagnóstico ocorrido em pessoas com o ensino médio completo ou inferior do sexo masculino. Objetivo: Descrever o perfil epidemiológico e sociodemográfico de pessoas vivendo com vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids em tratamento antirretroviral no município de Ponta Grossa (PR). Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico, de coorte retrospectivo com dados obtidos por meio dos prontuários de pessoas vivendo com vírus da imunodeficiência humana/aids que utilizaram o serviço de atenção especializada do município de Ponta Grossa (Serviço de Atendimento Especializado – Centro de Testagem e Aconselhamento) de janeiro de 2012 a junho de 2019. Foram utilizados como critérios de inclusão constar no prontuário ou na ficha de notificação: data de nascimento, sexo, escolaridade e a data da última consulta. Resultados: Após a aplicação dos critérios de inclusão, foram coletados dados de 1.049 pacientes. Verificou-se que 55,6% dos pacientes eram do sexo masculino, 88,6% dos pacientes foram infectados sexualmente e 73% eram heterossexuais. A média de idade entre as mulheres foi de 42,33 anos (desvio padrão=12,65). O tempo de tratamento médio foi de 5,28 anos (desvio padrão=4,77). Entre os homens, a média de idade 40,06 (desvio padrão=12,61) e o tempo de tratamento médio foi de 4,63 anos (desvio padrão= 4,76). Quanto à escolaridade, 42,8% declararam serem analfabetos ou terem ensino fundamental incompleto, 47,8% ensino fundamental completo ou ensino médio incompleto ou completo e 9,4% que estão cursando ou terminaram ensino superior. Em relação ao estado civil, 40,9% se declararam união estável ou casados, 3,9% viúvos, 34,6% solteiros, 7,9% divorciados e 12,7% não informaram estado civil. Conclusão: São necessárias a continuidade e a expansão de políticas públicas voltadas ao tratamento e à prevenção da infecção pelo vírus da aids, principalmente voltada a públicos específicos, como o de menor escolaridade, tendo em vista a prevalência mais localizada dos casos.

Introdução: Atualmente, observa-se uma grande preocupação na área da saúde com relação à informação da população sobre as práticas de prevenção combinada à infecção ao vírus do vírus da imunodeficiência humana. A expressão prevenção combinada do vírus da imunodeficiência humana refere-se a diferentes ações de prevenção, tanto às diretamente voltadas ao combate do vírus da imunodeficiência humana quanto aos fatores associados à infecção. Nesse contexto, sabe-se que a profilaxia pós-exposição e a profilaxia pré-exposição são eficazes para a prevenção do vírus da imunodeficiência humana em pessoas com risco aumentado em adquirir a infecção. No entanto, percebe-se que, principalmente nas populações com maior vulnerabilidade, o conhecimento sobre a profilaxia pós-exposição/ profilaxia pré-exposição ainda é limitado. Objetivo: Este estudo, de caráter quantitativo, teve como objetivo avaliar a informação da população participante sobre a profilaxia pós- -exposição e a profilaxia pré-exposição. Os dados foram obtidos por meio da aplicação de questionário on-line, individual, composto de perguntas relacionadas ao objetivo da pesquisa, enviado de forma aleatória como convite e ou divulgação com o compartilhamento do link, sendo pessoalmente no Centro Especializado de Doenças Infecto Parasitárias do município de Cascavel (PR) (pelos profissionais atuantes no serviço e pesquisadores responsáveis pelo estudo) e em mídias sociais. Os resultados das questões tiveram suas respostas obtidas e apresentadas por porcentagens e gráficos. Resultados: A pesquisa recebeu a resposta de 482 pessoas, sendo a maioria residentes na macrorregião Oeste do Paraná. Em relação à profilaxia pós-exposição, 69,5% já tinham compreensão sobre essa forma de prevenção ao vírus da imunodeficiência humana e 30,5% desconheciam. Já em referência à profilaxia pré-exposição, 42,7% não sabiam sobre essa questão, enquanto 57,3% tinham conhecimento prévio. Desses, 18% obtiveram informação sobre a profilaxia pré-exposição por meio do uso da internet e 42% por orientação de profissionais da saúde. Conclusão: Com o desenvolvimento do estudo, esperou-se contribuir com reflexões relativas à importância do conhecimento da população sobre a prevenção combinada ao vírus do vírus da imunodeficiência humana.

Introdução: O Centro Especializado de Doenças Infecto Parasitárias é um serviço de referência aos ambulatórios de vírus da imunodeficiência humana, hepatites virais, infectologia e infecções sexualmente transmissíveis em Cascavel (PR). Diante da pandemia de COVID-19 e a interrupção da maioria dos serviços ambulatoriais do município no final de março de 2020, surgiu a preocupação em não interromper o atendimento nesse serviço. Objetivo: Avaliar as estratégias e impacto dos atendimentos ambulatoriais de infecções sexualmente transmissíveis durante a pandemia, diante das restrições. Métodos: Relato de experiência de estratégias utilizadas para manutenção dos atendimentos de infecções sexualmente transmissíveis e avaliação do quantitativo dos atendimentos realizados no período de abril a dezembro de 2020 em comparação ao mesmo período de 2019, utilizando relatórios de atendimento ambulatorial. Resultados: As estratégias criadas pensando em garantir atendimentos com segurança – reformulação de agendas médicas com maior intervalo entre as consultas, garantia do atendimento por livre demanda, equipamentos de proteção individual para servidores, barraca externa como sala de espera, uso rede sociais como Facebook e WhatsaApp para esclarecer dúvidas e/ou agendar consultas, fortalecimento de vínculos com projetos on-line e informação à imprensa e ao call center municipal sobre atendimentos prioritários – visaram garantir que demandas de infecções sexualmente transmissíveis não fossem totalmente desassistidas durante a pandemia. O quadro de profissionais médicos desse ambulatório foi reduzido em 50%, e enfermagem em 30%, não considerando afastamentos por suspeita de COVID-19. O número de atendimentos entre abril e dezembro de 2019 foi de 1.362, enquanto no mesmo período de 2020 foi de 1.015 (queda de 25,4%). Destaca-se o mês de abril de 2020, com diminuição de 78% nos atendimentos. Conclusão: Infecções sexualmente transmissíveis não deixaram de ocorrer ou ter complicações com a presença da pandemia. O conhecimento e organização da equipe, mesmo reduzida, são destaques dessa avaliação, garantindo o acesso ao serviço público para diagnóstico e tratamento de infecções comumente pouco valorizadas.

The present work highlights aspects relating to the industry perception of HFW pipe via studies of pipeline failures and draws out the relevant technological factors that industry should focus on to overcome them. These factors are then examined further to understand the state of the art and provide insight on how to manage them. The application of HFW offshore via reel-lay is also examined with a focus on the risk of buckling or fracture near or at the girth weld.
