Full textConstruction is one of the sectors most at risk in terms of health and safety. The social security system attributes more than 14% of the accidents recorded in 2018 to the construction sector. In addition to safety risks, construction workers are exposed to occupational diseases. Musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) are at the top of the list of the most frequent occupational diseases. In order to address these issues, construction companies have implemented a health and safety policy to protect the lives of their employees. This policy provides, among other things, for an improvement in the organizational aspect of work, the adaptation of work to people and training.Training is carried out according to a classic methodology: theoretical and practical training. The training represents constraints of cost, duration and organization. The content must be adapted to specific profiles, be repeatable and allow the trainers to assess the level of the trainees. For training on the right gestures and posture to avoid the risk of MSDs, the impact of virtual reality (VR) training is less relevant due to the lack of haptic feedback. In this thesis, we propose a new training methodology based on visual immersion, a robotic platform for haptic interaction with motion tracking. This methodology is evaluated for a particular subject: the formwork panel, a highly sensitive tool.We believe that this approach would allow to better engage the construction workers during training on the formwork, to ensure their safety and awareness of MSD risks. The objective through this method is to enable the construction workers to understand the risks linked to his job and to train him to avoid risks, and to enable the trainer to benefit from a tool for monitoring and supporting the construction workers. In order to validate our methodology, we conducted experiments with two profiles of people: novices and professionals. This experimentation shows an acceptance of the solution by the construction workers

Full textIn this doctor's thesis we have analyzed the discourse about the practice teachers and instructors who were trained in the field of the cognitive mediation in junior high schools, and the general adult education of promgrams of Life Long Education in Ile-de-France. On the basis of this theory we focused on conceptions of Vygotski about the role of social interaction of children's development and learning and the cognitive mediation of Brunet about a tutor, and the works of the mediation of Feuerstein and of Britt-Mari Barth, which help us organize action guides as a mediator to be adapted better according to the need of educational situations or objects. To be conscious of the posture of a mediator who studies the cognitive function supposes the postulate of the cognitive educability which allowed us to analyze The Evaluation of the Method of Cognitive Education, the research of Huteau and his party. Differently from authors who simply insist the effect on the method itself, what tried to find out in this thesis is things which happened through the training of teachers and the impact of the educational practice. That verified hypotheses of this thesis. In short this thesis experientially shows the posture of mediators caused by the transformation which they used in training through the methods and the tools while they were trained

Full textThe thesis aims at exploring the possible development of experience by means of language. Professional integration and training situations are linked to the efficiency of what is experienced. As regards the significance of language, it must be considered as the intelligibility of the relationship with the surround. The qualitative study, carried out during 3 interviews with a young lady for 5 years, aims at focusing on the intellibility of the surround. The different language theories are at the disposal of a dialogical understanding of discursive situations. The experience development can be explained thanks to an inside process and the relationship, between what has been lived and what is experienced, between sedimentation and decantation of what has been lived. Then, one can create a never achieved belonging background, which is still under process. And finally it enacts a poetizing background. The continuity between these backgrounds enables an ability to emerge. This one consists in experiencing a receptiveness of mind posture during training

Full textSpecialized education has to face the difficulty linked to the articulation of contradictory forms of logics. This complexity as well as the uneasiness related to the subjective implication inherent to the profession of educator cause suffering, which leads to an attitude of omnipotence. The emancipating dimension of the educating relationship is neutralized because of phenomens of stigmatisation and alienation. Those difficulties can be distinguished through the devices of analysis of practices, by solving issues, going beyond the obstacles to the process of problematization and beyond the complexity related to the articulation between theory and practice. Adressing those issues aims at exploring the impact of the use of theoretical incursions and of the PAC (problematization through the coordination of contradictory notions) with the help of the APP device, which will be used by the participant in order to adopt a clinical attitude. This work is accomplished within a theoretical framework articulating the evaluating, problematizing and emancipating parts. The clinical method aims at making them intelligible. The analysis of interviews strengthens our hypothesis: using the theoretical incursions and the PAC method is positive in order to problematize and emancipate the patients, as well in terms of professional as personal development. A ripple effect has been observed. The results show how important is the process of identification to the attitude of the clinician, representing thus a way to stage the articulation of contradictory notions as well as the personification of knowledge, and a reorganization of our relationship to knowledge

Full textWhat if learning was as much a question of links as of time and place? It was from this idea that this research was born. It is rooted in the field of Maisons Familiales Rurales, which, like many training organisations, are encouraged to hybridise their training courses. After exploring developments in vocational training and situating training hybridisation, the literature review provides an initial approach to hybrid and sandwich training schemes with an integrative aim. This exploration leads us to consider the systems not as they are thought out, but as they are experienced, from the point of view of the person undergoing the training; and leads us to identify the way in which work-study students are put in a position to create links between the experiences they have undergone. The study focuses on these situations by looking at the processes that contribute to the construction of connections (to oneself, to others, to worlds) in the interface situations of multiple training environments. To study these processes of enabling trainees to relate, we are adopting a multi-method approach based on a case study of two hybrid and sandwich training schemes. We use different reading frameworks for these systems, the connections experienced and the postures of the alternating trainees, enabling us to study the processes of building capacity using the capability approach. After identifying the interface situations and the different postures adopted by the work-study students in relation to the training, the study analyses 6 of these situations in terms of the development of their ability to relate to themselves, to others and to the worlds in which they work. The research thus shows how work-study students are effectively enabled to relate their experiences, in terms of resources, opportunities and choices.Key words:Hybrid and work-linked training system, Adult training, Integrative work-linked training, Reliance (on oneself, on others, on worlds), Deliance (on oneself, on others, on worlds), Capability, Hybridization, Interface system, Interface situation, Interface activity, Training posture

Full textThis study was carried out at the Language Resource Centres of the University of Strasbourg, which are set up to develop student autonomy in language learning as well as linguistic competence. It examines, in this context, the place and role of teachers in terms of fostering student learning autonomy. In order to do this, twelve teachers were involved in reflecting upon their own beliefs and practice. Their beliefs – in relation to what they think, know and believe about learning autonomy – were gathered by means of a questionnaire developed by Borg and Al-Busaidi (2012a). Their practice – how they interact with students - was examined through interviews in which the teachers gave their own descriptions and explanations whilst reviewing their recorded teaching/learning session. An open coding (Strauss and Corbin, 2004), based on inter-rater agreement (Garrison et al., 2006), has enabled a category-based analysis related to grounded theory. The data thus collected have been analyzed qualitatively, resulting in the production of individual teacher monographs. These have then been related to the principles underlying language learner autonomy

Full textDeans of studies (educational principal counselor : C.P.E. in French) play a key part in French high schools as they supervise and support pupils in their educational and learning training. They carry out their training supervision mostly with individual interviews of the pupils, this takes place in a professional context in which deans of studies suffer from misrepresentations about what their jobs consist in, misrepresentations often inherited from the history of their role in schools. By questioning the Deans’ position when sometimes confronted with contradictory expectations from the institution, this research aims at presenting a comprehensive approach about in trying to understand how deans can commit themselves in a personal supervising relationship with pupils while at the same time being responsible for organizing collective life in schools. It lies within the theoretical concept of accompaniment linked to the notions of ethics and responsibility. The method is inspired by the phenomenological principle and supported by research interviews to collect stories of professional lives, followed by an online survey for audit. The results reveal three kinds of professional positions for C.P.E. accompanying pupils at different moments during their training. The first position, one of a companion in a caring relationship, and the supervisor supporting the pupil in his training, are linked to one another. The guide acts so as to make a personalized action fall within the scope of a socializing frame. Indeed the supervising relationship gets improved to the seting up of collective workshops in the schools

Full textSupport proves to be essential in adult training. In a complex approach of support, we try to understand how ways of acting can promote the emergence of a professional executive position. For consistency, we choose an approach of qualitative and comprehensive research based on some principles of the clinical approach. In three populations of executives dealing with health, companies and social work, we question the tensions, disruptions and continuities experienced by people through the run of training and work. The results of the research show that support can be conceived as a creation of emerging situations both in the programme and the relationship. We must analyze these situations as well as create them when appropriate

Full textUnder which conditions is it possible to create work-place professionalism? This is the main question addressed by the theme of this thesis. The theme came up as a result of the precariousness/downgrading of teaching/instructing French as a foreign language under the current Moroccan educational system. Other than efforts pertaining to reform and change, it does not seem that the current educational policies are capable of addressing this situation. Instruction as well as continuing education in basic training remains somewhat uncertain, keeping in mind that some instructors have not been given any such training. Professionalism among some of these instructors is lacking. However, helping them to develop a reflexive position would improve their level of professionalism. The purpose of this study is to ensure that didactic educational lessons are undertaken in a real classroom environment, that analysis of pedagogical practices is done concretely, that guidance/coaching is provided, and that reflexive writing is encouraged. These are steps or protocols among other instruments to experiment with towards further professionalization of instruction, in order to lead the new learner to develop his professional skills and to further improve the professional performance of those who are more experienced

Full textIn teachers training, the introduction of ICT significantly influence the way in which a teacher trainee fashions his/her professional "posture". Anchored in Bandura's social cognitive theory, our research investigates the mediatization of the pedagogical relationship in terms of technological, social cognitive, sensory-motor and social mediation. The notion of "posture" is meant to convey the way in which the trainees conceive the teaching-learning process from the point of view of the beliefs and intentions which give meaning and direction to their actions. The notion is studied on the basis of work undertaken by Pratt on perspectives in education (such as transmission, learning, cognitive development, self-fulfillment and social reform). The statistical analysis is completed by the qualitative analysis of 46 interviews, and compared in two very different educational contexts (open, distance format vs classic training mode). Our work make a contribution to the demystification of the power of technology and stresse the "analyser" dimension of such tools as compared with fundamental pedagogical issues. They define the notion of “posture” and call our attention to the existence of various "tensions". They invite to pay more attention to personal factors in our teachers training conception

Full textTeacher action in french as a foreign language classrooms of Botswana concentrates on the development of learners’ written skills. Oral activities are used to reinforce the teaching of grammar. However, in a context where language is taught for the purpose of developing learner’s communicative competence, oral skills constitute the means and the end. This research seeks to determine in what way the training of teachers to the didactics of oral skills could improve teacher action in order to develop learner’s oral skills. We therefore propose a training model to teachers, which is inspired by the communicative/task based learning. The clinical/experimental approach, is used to observe and video record teachers in action: first without the training model and then with the training model. Autoconfrontation and alloconfrontation interviews help understand the motives behind teacher’s action. The results indicate that, code switching; the only discourse strategy used by teachers, determines the posture that they adopt and consequently the development of learners’ oral skills. It is as a result important, if we want to train teachers on how to teach oral skills in a multilingual context, to integrate the didactics of code switching to the training model

Full textThis thesis analyses the confrontation between postal reforms inspired by the new public management, fulfilled in the rationalisation politics of the working activity, and employee professional practices. It studies the stakes, the modalities and the limits of the financial advisers normative work definition. Designated as change agents by the organisation, they must manage the dynamics between market logic and the public services mission which persists through a double language at La Poste. This puts into evidence the professional positioning that is constructed based on the referential norm of the ideal adviser portrayed by the organisation. The latest therefore counts on its young recruits, excepted to be receptive to the new managerial logics. The study of the socialisation process of its potential advisers, registered on individual career paths, allows questioning the homogenisation in the practices and persistence of the social postal model. The approach is based on a territorial comparison (Mediterranean/Parisian region) as well as generational. The combination of several investigation techniques (participative observation within the HR Direction at La Banque Postale, longitudinal panel survey conducted on financial adviser apprentices, monograph of post offices and exploitation of statistic data) allows crossing of biographical paths (personal and career) and the structural elements of employment politics analysis, work, and training at La Poste

Full textThe professional mobility law, although it has many definitions, still requires construction work. Between the obligations of the employer and the rights of the employee, professional mobility requires reconciling the thorny paradigm between flexibility in the company and safety of the professional career. This complexity reveals an original ambiguity: professional mobility is essentially inspired by practice, so that today there are as many mobility schemes as there are situations involving mobility. Professional mobility clause, reclassification of the employee, personnel provision, secure voluntary mobility, performing agreement, negotiated breaks of contract, assignment of contract, the study of legal devices shows that mobility is mainly envisaged in the short term, at the initiative of the employer and built on a pattern of constraint not taking into account the individual freedom of the employee. The lack of efficiency of the legal framework and the resulting abuses in practice make positive law incompatible with the objective of developing positive mobility, which is the cornerstone professional mobility law. The many interventions of the legislator in support of the forms of constrained mobilities contribute to the failure of this ambition. While the right to mobility is, formally, a fundamental guarantee of the status of civil servants and public officials, such equivalence does not exist in private law. The major challenge therefore lies in the ability of the legislator to rethink positive mobility

The thesis focuses on postage stamps in post-war Taiwan and the formation of the party-state identity. Postages stamps in post-war Taiwan can be read as officially sanctioned texts that reflect the intention and the ideology of the government of the Republic of China (ROC), which was controlled by the Kuomintang of China (KMT). The first purpose of the thesis was to find out that how postage stamps were issued by the government of the ROC, also known as the government of the KMT. Another aim of the thesis was to investigate themes that reflect the formation of the party-state identity. Finally, roles of the stamps as tools to affect the identity of people in post-war Taiwan were examined in the thesis. In the thesis, it was discovered that postage stamps in post-war Taiwan had played a part in the formation of the party-state identity although a postage stamp was not the only tool to change people’s identity.

Full textIn the 20th century, we witnessed the development of the information society based on the technological revolution, which would later give rise to the so-called knowledge society. Faced with permanent competitive challenges, characterized by turbulence and unpredictability, organizations are called to innovate, seeking a balance of valorization between human capital and its technological, material and financial resources, premises that will allow them to survive or develop. The organizational culture and the management model emerge as crucial elements for the organization to develop, assuming a decisive and competitive role in innovation and subsequently in the market. The theme of this research is “Organizational culture, management models and innovation in teaching hospitals. Case study –School-Hospital of the University Fernando Pessoa” and aims to analyze the importance of organizational culture and the management model for innovation at the School-Hospital. The research problem was expressed through the following questions: Which factors underlie the organizational culture implemented in the organization? With this work environment, is it possible to develop innovation in HE? What actions can be taken to improve the organizational culture and the management model conducive to differentiation and innovation? To respond to the research problem and the research objectives, a mixed study was developed with the integration of a qualitative and quantitative methodology. In the quantitative study, an interview was applied to the Management Council and the Coordinators of the HE, with the aim of evaluating the following categories: (1) Difficulties in the course of management; (2) Labor relationship with employees; (3) HE-UFP organizational culture; (4) Motivation of employees; (5) Management Model; (6) Innovation. In the qualitative study, a vertical and horizontal content analysis of the data was carried out, where comparisons were made between the various categories. The results show that those responsible for HE are aware of the importance of human capital and its valorization as determining factors for innovation and competitiveness. In the quantitative study, a questionnaire was administered to 291 employees, seeking to assess their perception in the following dimensions: (1) Innovation management model; (2) Innovation in value creation; (3) Organizational Model; (4) Innovation in the value proposition; (5) Innovation in value collection; (6) Organizational Culture; (7) Satisfaction; (8) Commitment to HE; (9) Talent Retention; (10) Recommendation and (11) Intention to Turnover. Quantitative data obtained through a questionnaire were analyzed in SPSS (univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis), using statistical techniques such as frequencies, means, standard deviation, t test, chi-square, correlations and linear regression. Obtained very satisfactory Cronbach's alpha values. From the results, it was found that employees in average terms (M=3.69; SD=0.886) consider there to be innovation in value creation and innovation in the value proposition (M=3.73; SD=0.886). They also consider that the HE regularly uses new communication channels for products and services (M=3.91; SD=0.857) and that it regularly seeks to respond to the needs of its customers (M=4.05; SD=0.874). In the evaluation of the innovation of HE's products and services in relation to competitors, the values presented were lower (M=3.47; SD=0.959). Regarding innovation in value collection, respondents recognize that in the HE there is innovation in value collection (M=3.66; SD=0.859. In the evaluation of the organizational model, very expressive levels of agreement were obtained (M= 4.01; SD= 0.891). Employees widely recognize the organizational culture (M= 3.81; SD= 0.941) and feel proud to work in their department/service (M=4.47; SD= 0.686) and that the focus of management is the service and quality (M=4.18; SD=0.902). It is noteworthy that employees claim that their work is recognized and rewarded (M=4.18; SD=0.826) and that the HE-UFP bets on training to enhance innovation (M=4.15; SD=0.860) . They revealed a high level of satisfaction with their work, with very high levels of agreement being registered in all the propositions presented (M=4.17; SD=0.821). The collaborators consider and recommend the HE as a reference place to work (M=4.13; SD=0.871).
