We evaluated plasma osmolality (pOsm), thirst, and vasopressin response to hypertonic saline infusion in 14 patients with multiple system atrophy (MSA). This disease is characterized by the degeneration of noradrenergic neurons in the central nervous system and severe orthostatic hypotension. Seven patients were also characterized by the lack of vasopressin response to hypotension (group B) and seven by a preserved response (group A). In group A pOsm rose from 290 +/- 2 to 312 +/- 6 mosmol/kgH2O, vasopressin from 0.9 +/- 0.3 to 5.7 +/- 0.5 pmol/l, and thirst from 1.1 +/- 0.1 to 8.7 +/- 1.1 cm on the visual analog scale. After saline, patients drank 1,215 +/- 150 ml of water (no different from healthy controls). In group B patients' pOsm rose from 296 +/- 3 to 325 +/- 6 mosmol/kgH2O and vasopressin from 1.2 +/- 0.1 to 19.6 +/- 0.4 pmol/l (P < 0.01 vs. group A and controls). Group B patients had no thirst during saline and drank little after the challenge (175 +/- 50 ml; P < 0.01 vs. group A and control). Forced drinking decreased vasopressin in patients before changes in pOsm, showing that inhibitory afferents from oropharyngeal mucosa were intact. In MSA patients with altered afferent control of vasopressin there is a dissociation between the osmotic control of thirst and the osmotic control of vasopressin.

Abstract The objective of the present study was to examine the effect of changes in plasma osmolality (pOsm) on the responses of the pituitary-adrenal axis to CRH and atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) release in patients with central diabetes insipidus (DI). Eight normal subjects and six DI patients were subjected to human CRH (hCRH) (1 μg/kg) stimulation alone or associated with isotonic volume loading (0.9% NaCl, 12 mL·kg·60 min) or an osmotic stimulus (5% NaCl, 0.06 mL·kg/min·120 min). The DI group showed significantly increased pOsm and undetectable or low plasma arginine vasopressin (AVP) during all tests. In the control group, pOsm and plasma AVP increased only during the osmotic stimulus. The DI group presented lower plasma ANP levels than controls during osmotic stimulus and isotonic volume loading. The lower ANP secretion in DI patients corroborates the importance of neurohypophyseal hormones in ANP regulation. Basal plasma ACTH and cortisol levels did not differ between controls and DI. The latter group presented a higher ACTH response than controls during stimulation with hCRH alone [area under the curve (AUC) 1138 ± 99 vs. 709 ± 62 pmol·L/min] and hCRH/5% NaCl (AUC 1602 ± 209 vs. 1158 ± 187 pmol·L·min). The DI cortisol AUC were higher than controls during stimulation with hCRH alone (65,471 ± 6,070 vs. 48,062 ± 3,476 nmol·L·min) and hCRH/5% NaCl (89,005 ± 10,043 vs. 62,105 ± 5,600 nmol·L·min). The highest ACTH and cortisol responses to hCRH in both groups were obtained with hCRH/5% NaCl. There was a significant correlation between mean pOsm and ACTH response to hCRH (r = 0.62). The increased responses to hCRH with increasing pOsm were present in control subjects and in patients with DI. However, at any given level of pOsm, there was no difference in ACTH response between controls and DI. These data indicate that the acute increases in pOsm augmented the ACTH and cortisol responses to hCRH that involve other factors besides magnocellular AVP.

Reducing extracellular osmolality by 10-12 mOsm/L reduces baroreceptor firing in vitro in tissues from male rats. Pregnancy is associated with a similar reduction in plasma osmolality (pOsm) as well as with alterations in baroreceptor firing and reduced baroreceptor reflex activity. Mechanisms for reduced baroreflex activity are not yet understood, but they have important implications for maintenance of cardiovascular homeostasis in the pregnant female. Thus, this study was designed to test whether changes in plasma osmolality alter baroreceptor discharge during pregnancy. Late-gestation pregnant and virgin control rats were anesthetized, femoral vessels were cannulated for measurement of arterial pressure and drug infusion, and the aortic depressor nerve, containing baroreceptor afferents, was isolated and prepared for recording. Plasma osmolality was measured before and 30 min after graded intraperitoneal injections of NaCl (50-1500 mOsm/L). Arterial pressure, heart rate, and aortic depressor nerve activity (ADNA) were measured continuously before and after injections. A 50 mOsm/L NaCl injection significantly decreased pOsm but did not alter ADNA in either group. Likewise, 1200 mOsm/L NaCl injections significantly increased pOsm and had no effect on ADNA in either group. The 1500 mOsm salt load significantly increased pOsm and ADNA in pregnant rats, and in virgin animals, it increased pOsm but evoked a paradoxical decrease in ADNA. The authors’ studies indicate that pOsm has minimal effects on baroreceptor activity, which are not significantly different during gestation. Their findings suggest that in vitro data from male rats indicating a correlation between pOsm and baroreceptor discharge are not applicable in anesthetized intact female animals.

Introduction/Objective. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of the estrogen and progesterone receptor status on angiogenesis, proliferation, and apoptosis of myoma cells in premenopausal (PreM) and postmenopausal (PostM) women. Methods. This was a cross section; clinical-experimental, retrospective, non-interventional study in the field of the study of fundamental pathogenesis mechanisms of disease using pathohistological materials from the existing archive. The research included 76 patients diagnosed with uterine leiomyomas, operatively treated in the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics, Clinical Centre Kragujevac, Serbia. According to the menstrual status, we formed two experimental subgroups. The first group was PreM women (n = 35; 46.2 ? 5.02 years old), and the second group was PostM women (n = 41; 60.25 ? 5.41 years old). Hematoxylin-eosin staining for myoma and myometrium was conducted, as well as immunohistochemistry for ER?, ER?, PR?, vascular endothelial growth factor, endoglin, Ki67, and caspase-3. Results. Progesterone receptor was overexpressed in myoma and myometrium of PreM compared to myoma and myometrium of PostM women. Expression of caspase-3 was a statistically significant increase in PostM women compared to PreM group. ER? and ER? were not changed among groups neither in myoma nor in myometrium samples. Conclusion. According to our data, PR? had higher influence on apoptosis and cell growth than estrogen receptors. Since PR? was increased in PreM in both myoma and myometrium, probably this expression led further to lower expression of apoptotic marker in PreM women.

JESI APRIANI LATEKA. Analysis of Factors Affecting Pine Gum Production in Poso District. Supervised by JANTJE D. PRANG as main supervisor and TOHAP MANURUNG as a co-supervisor. Poso Regency is a center of productivity for pine resin in Central Sulawesi, so it is very important to know the factors that influence the production of pine sap in Poso District. Referring to several previous studies, the accumulation of various factors can cause a problem or an event triggered by various previous events, to predict the use of multiple linear regression equations that can summarize these various factors. The data used in this study are data on the land area of each group (X1 ), the number of group workers (X2) and the number of hours of group work (X3). Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis there is a symptom of multicollinearity between the variables of the number of workers and the number of hours worked, therefore to overcome this one variable is taken, namely the number of workers. The results of the analysis show that the variable area of land and the number of labor simultaneously affect the production of pine sap with a determination coefficient of 93%. This paper discusses Majelis Taklim (Islamic Study Group) An-Nisa located in Bewa Village, South Lore, District of Poso. Since its establishment in 1995 until now, Majelis Taklim An-Nisa has contributed a lot to the development of da’wah (Islamic propagation) in Poso, especially in Bewa village. This Majelis Taklim is supported by the government, especially the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and local communities. One of the most important contributions from Majelis Taklim is guiding mothers who converted to Islam after the Poso conflict in 1998-2000. Nevertheless, this Majelis Taklim also has obstacles in carrying out its da’wah activities, which include transportation, inadequate communication, and a lack of preachers.

ObjectiveControversies exist about posterior pituitary (PP) function in subjects with ectopic PP (EPP) and with cerebral midline defects and/or their co-occurrence. We investigate water and electrolyte disturbances in patients at risk for PP dysfunction.DesignThe study was conducted in a single Pediatric Endocrinology Research Unit.MethodsForty-two subjects with childhood-onset GH deficiency were subdivided into five groups: normal magnetic resonance imaging (n=8, group 1); EPP (n=15, group 2); septo-optic dysplasia (SOD) with normal PP (n=4, group 3); EPP and SOD without (n=7, group 4), and with additional midline brain abnormalities (n=8, group 5). At a mean age of 16.0±1.1 years, they underwent a 120 min i.v. infusion with hypertonic 5% saline and evaluation of plasma osmolality (Posm), arginine vasopressin (AVP), thirst score (in groups 1 and 2), and urinary osmolality were performed.ResultsMean Posm and AVP significantly increased from baseline scores (284.7±4.9 mosm/kg and 0.6±0.2 pmol/l) to 120 min after saline infusion (300.5±8.0 mosm/kg and 10.3±3.3 pmol/l, P<0.0001). Group 5 showed higher mean Posm and lower mean AVP at all time points (P<0.0001). Mean thirst score did not show a significantly different trend between the groups 1 and 2. Urine osmolality was above 750 mosm/kg in all but seven patients after osmotic challenge.ConclusionsPatients with midline brain abnormalities and EPP have defective osmoregulated AVP. Patients with EPP and congenital hypopituitarism have normal PP function.

Abstract Background An accurate risk score able to predict in-hospital mortality in patients undergoing surgery may improve both risk communication and clinical decision making. The aim of the study was to develop and validate a surgical risk score based solely on preoperative information, for predicting in-hospital mortality. Methods From January 1, 2010, to December 31, 2010, data related to all surgeries requiring anesthesia were collected from all centers (single hospital or hospitals group) in France performing more than 500 operations in the year on patients aged 18 yr or older (n = 5,507,834). International Statistical Classification of Diseases, 10th revision codes were used to summarize the medical history of patients. From these data, the authors developed a risk score by examining 29 preoperative factors (age, comorbidities, and surgery type) in 2,717,902 patients, and then validated the risk score in a separate cohort of 2,789,932 patients. Results In the derivation cohort, there were 12,786 in-hospital deaths (0.47%; 95% CI, 0.46 to 0.48%), whereas in the validation cohort there were 14,933 in-hospital deaths (0.54%; 95% CI, 0.53 to 0.55%). Seventeen predictors were identified and included in the PreOperative Score to predict PostOperative Mortality (POSPOM). POSPOM showed good calibration and excellent discrimination for in-hospital mortality, with a c-statistic of 0.944 (95% CI, 0.943 to 0.945) in the development cohort and 0.929 (95% CI, 0.928 to 0.931) in the validation cohort. Conclusion The authors have developed and validated POSPOM, a simple risk score for the prediction of in-hospital mortality in surgical patients.

Estrogen receptor-β (ER-β) expression in rat magnocellular vasopressin (VP) neurons of the supraoptic and paraventricular nuclei (SON and PVN, respectively) becomes undetectable after 72 h of 2% NaCl consumption. To test the hypothesis that osmosensitive mechanisms that originate in the region of the organum vasculosum lamina terminalis (OVLT) control ER-β expression in the SON and PVN, animals were water deprived after electrolytic lesions were performed on the area anterior to the ventral third ventricle (AV3V). Such lesions prevent osmotic stimulation of VP release. Four weeks after surgery, male rats [lesioned ( n = 16) or sham ( n = 14)] were water deprived for 48 h or allowed water ad libitum. Water deprivation eliminated ER-β-immunoreactivity (-ir) in SON and magnocellular PVN of sham-lesioned animals. Fos-ir was evident in these neurons, and plasma osmolality (Posm) and hematocrit (Ht) were significantly elevated compared with the sham-hydrated rats (Posm, 304 ± 1 vs. 318 ± 2 mosmol/kgH2O; P < 0.001; Ht, 49.6 ± 0.6 vs. 55.0 ± 0.9%; P < 0.001). ER-β expression was comparable in sham-hydrated, AV3V-hydrated, and 6 of 8 AV3V-dehydrated rats despite significant increases in Posm in both groups (AV3V hydrated, 312 ± 2; AV3V dehydrated, 380 ± 10 mosmol/kgH2O; P < 0.001). OVLT was not ablated in the AV3V-dehydrated rats in which ER-β was depleted. Fos-ir was low or undetectable in SON in the AV3V-hydrated animals despite elevated Posm values. In AV3V-dehydrated rats, Fos-ir was significantly less than in sham-dehydrated animals but was significantly increased compared with the sham-hydrated group. This could reflect activation by nonosmotic parameters that do not inhibit ER-β expression. These data support the hypothesis that inhibition of ER-β expression in the SON by osmotic stimulation is mediated by osmoreceptive neurons in the lamina terminalis.

Aim: The study aimed to investigate cellular expression of IL-17 by CD4+ T-cells in osteoporotic postmenopausal women. Methods: We enrolled 25 postmenopausal women with osteoporosis (PostMO) and 25 postmenopausal women with normal bone mineral density measurements (PostM) to examine the production of IL-17, tumor necrosis factor a (TNFa) and receptor activator of nuclear factor γ-B ligand (RANKL) by CD4+ T-cells and IL-17, RORγt, TNFa and RANKL mRNA levels in CD4+ T-cells. Circulating concentrations of IL-17 along with IL-6, TNFa, RANKL and osteoprotegerin (OPG) were also determined. Results: Osteoporotic postmenopausal women had higher serum concentrations of IL-17 (3.7 ± 1.3 vs. 2.5 ± 1.1 ng/ml, p = 0.042), IL-6 (158 ± 56 vs. 105 ± 39 pg/ml, p = 0.044), TNFa (138 ± 41 vs. 74 ± 11 pg/ml, p < 0.001) and OPG (1.7 ± 0.4 vs. 1.3 ± 0.4 ng/ml, p = 0.039) than healthy controls. The IL-17-producing CD4+ T-cells were higher in the PostMO group than in the PostM group (7.1 ± 2.4 vs. 4.9 ± 1.4%, p = 0.0015). Additionally, osteoporotic postmenopausal women had greater mRNA levels of IL-17 (3.5 ± 2.9 vs. 1.2 ± 1.0%, p = 0.019) and RORγt (5.7 ± 2.5 vs. 2.2 ± 1.0%, p < 0.001) in CD4+ T-cells than in healthy controls. Conclusions: Our findings implied that the upregulated production of IL-17 may play an important role in regulating bone loss in osteoporotic postmenopausal women.

Supervisi klinis model reflektif interaktif bertujuan untuk mengarahkan individu mencapai tujuan rumah sakit yaitu penangan sasaran keselamatan pasien dengan baik. Oleh sebab itu para supervisor harus memiliki keterampilan membimbing untuk meminimalisir masalah keselamatan pasien di RSUD Poso. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperiment dengan rancangan Pretest Posttest With Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah adalah perawat di Ruang Rawat Inap di RSUD Poso 24 orang pada masing-masing kelompok. Analisa data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Chi Square, Independent Sample T Test, Paired Sample t-test, Korelasi Pearson, dan untuk analisis multivariat menggunakan General Linear Model Repeated Measure (GLM-RM). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan pelaksanaan sasaran keselamatan pasien sesudah diberlakukan supervisi reflektif interaktif (0,000), pada kelompok intervensi & kelompok kontrol di Ruang Rawat Inap Kelas 3 RSUD Poso Jakarta. Rata-rata pencapaian skor pelaksanaan sasaran keselamatan pasien antar kelompok menunjukan perbedaan yang signifikan. Pada kelompok intevensi pencapaian skor pelaksanaan sasaran keselamatan pasien lebih maksimum dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Pada kelompok intervensi pencapaian skor mulai menunjukan peningkatan mulai dari pengukuran ke 2 dan skor maksimum terlihat pada pengukuran ke 5. Sedangkan pencapaian skor maksimum pada kelompok kontrol tampak maksimum pada pengukuran ke 4 dan cenderung mengalami penurunan skor pada pengukuran berikutnya.

This study discussed a Peace-Striving Khalifah Group which consisted of several former convicts of terrorism case of Poso conflict. This study used a qualitative approach with case study method. The results revealed that the motivators and the activators of the Peace-Striving Khalifah Group were using a cultural message model at the self-disclosure stage. The cultural approach was used as a whole. While the psychological approach was not recognized as an initial route by motivators. The ideologies of the former terrorist convicts who were members of the Peace-Striving Khalifah Group were filled with issues of Khilafah, Pancasila, Thaghut and Takfir. One of the conveyed messages models of the group was peaceful-style religious da'wah which included inclusive da'wah messages and respect to the diversity of the people. The role of da'wah brought by the group thought a kind and soothing da'wah which is respected the people.

The provision of knowledge on schistosomiasis to the students and teachers of elementary schools increase their knowledge and affected the coverage of stool collection. Teachers and students are also expected to be able to provide information about the schistosomiasis which they have obtained to their families and communities around them. This research aimed to assess the success of the training of teachers and students in the control of schistosomiasis. This research was intervention research that used quasi-experiment design. The intervention was conducted by providing socialization about schistosmiasis to students and teachers in classrooms, followed by the practice in the field. The intervention and control group comprised 63 students and teachers. Evaluation of the teachers and students knowledge about schistosomiasis was conducted by questionnaire. The results of this research showed that in the intervention group, there was a significant increase in the knowledge from pre-test 9,25 to post-test 16,86 (p = 0.000). The provision of intervention in the form of knowledge to students and teacher has significantly increased the knowledge about epidemiology, treatment and surveillance schistosomiasis.

Efforts that can be made to stimulate the hormone prolactin and oxytocin in the mother after childbirth is to provide a relaxed sensation in the mother by doing Woolwich massage and rolling massage (back). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a combination of Woolwich massage methods and Rolling Massage on Asi production in post partum mothers. Research site in the Work Area of Mapane Health Center, Poso Regency. The type of research used was Quasi Experimental. Data analysis was performed by the chi squre test. The results of the study showed that 95.8% of the intervention group respondents had enough baby weight while in the group without intervention it was 70.8% with a value of p = 0.048. Frequency of BAK: 87.5% of respondents in the intervention group had sufficient frequency while in the group without intervention it was 45.8% with a value of p = 0.006. BAB frequency in the intervention group 100% frequency is sufficient while in the group without intervention is 91.7% with a value of p = 0.015. This research is expected to be applied by midwives and taught to mothers and families so as to increase ASI production so that the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding is achieved in the area of the Research Health Center. Lake Poso, an ancient lake system on the Indonesian island Sulawesi, harbours an endemic species flock of six, four lacustrine and two riverine species of the freshwater shrimp genus Caridina. In this study, five new lacustrine species are described, bringing the total to eleven species altogether. The number of lacustrine species is more than doubled to nine species compared to the last taxonomic revision in 2009. One of them, Caridina mayamareenae Klotz, Wowor & von Rintelen, sp. nov., even represents the first case of an atyid shrimp associated with freshwater snails which is morphologically adapted to living in shells. An integrative approach was used by providing a combination of morphological, ecological, and molecular data. Based on standard morphological characters, distribution, substrate preferences, and colouration of living specimens in the field, five distinct undescribed species could be distinguished. To support our species-hypothesis based on the mitochondrial genes 16S and COI, a molecular phylogeny was used for all eleven species from Lake Poso. All species form a well-supported monophyletic group, but only four morphospecies consistently correspond to mtDNA clades – a possible reason could be introgressive hybridisation, incomplete lineage sorting, or not yet fixed species boundaries. These results are discussed further in the context of adaptive radiation, which turned out to be more diverse than previously described. Finally, yet importantly, subjecting all new species to similar threats and to the same IUCN category and criterion than the previously described species from the lake is recommended.

Peripheral administration of vasopressin (VP) was previously shown to exert a negative feedback influence on its own release and on the release of oxytocin (OT). In this study we examined the possible influence that OT has on the function of hypothalamic magnocellular neurones. Oxytocin was administered intraperitoneally and its effects on release from VP neurones and from OT neurones were determined as indexed by plasma concentrations of vasopressin-associated neurophysin ([VP-RNP]) and oxytocin-associated neurophysin ([OT-RNP]) under basal conditions and conditions of high plasma osmolality (Posm) induced by acute salt loading. Studies were performed on conscious, chronically instrumented Long-Evans rats. Oxytocin (1 nmol or 10 nmol) dissolved in 1 mL of 0.9% saline was administered intraperitoneally to animals 1 h before they received an intravenous infusion of hypertonic saline over 60 min at a rate designed to raise Posm by approximately 0.75 mosmol∙min−1. Intraperitoneal injection of vehicle or 1 nmol of OT did not significantly alter [VP-RNP], [OT-RNP], or basal Posm. Administration of 10 nmol OT also had no effect on [VP-RNP] or [OT-RNP], but this dose of peptide significantly lowered basal Posm (299 ± 2 to 290 ± 2 mosmol/kg H2O, p < 0.001). Both doses of OT did not significantly alter the responsiveness of VP neurones to hyperosmotic stimulation. The slopes of the relationship between the rise in [VP-RNP] (A[VP-RNP]) and the rise in Posm (ΔPosm) for the groups receiving pretreatment of 1 nmol OT (n = 5), 10 nmol OT (n = 7), and vehicle (n = 7) were similar (6.1 ± 1.4, r = 0.86; 5.1 ± 0.9, r = 0.91; and 6.6 ± 0.9 fmol∙mL−1∙mosmol−1∙kg−1, r = 0.93, respectively). For the 1-nmol dose of OT that generated plasma OT levels in the physiological range, the slopes of the relationship between the rise in [OT-RNP] (Δ[OT-RNP]) and ΔPosm over the period of salt loading for peptide-treated animals and control animals (39.5 ± 8.9, r = 0.89 vs. 23.4 ± 5.9, fmol∙mL−1∙mosmol−1∙kg−1, r = 0.93) indicated an increased responsiveness of OT neurones, but this difference was not significant (p < 0.1426). Higher plasma levels of OT were generated by administering the 10 nmol dose of OT, and the slopes of the relationship between Δ[OT-RNP] and ΔPosm for peptide-treated animals and control animals (13.9 ± 1.6, r = 0.96 vs. 23.4 ± 8.9 fmol∙mL−1∙mosmol−1∙kg−1, r = 0.93) suggested a decreased responsiveness of OT neurones, but again this difference was not significant (p < 0.1637). However, there was a significant difference in the rise in OT-RNP with plasma osmolality for rats receiving high versus low dose of peptide (p < 0.0475). Our data indicate that peripherally administered OT, unlike VP, does not exert a negative feedback influence on osmotically stimulated release from VP neurones and most probably OT neurones. However, it cannot be ruled out that the lack of modulation of magnocellular neurones by the high dose of OT could be due to the summation of a positive OT effect (since the 1-nmol group appeared to exhibit an enhancing effect) and of a negative VP effect as indicated by blood pressure increases and plasma dilution. Space-Time permutation scan statistics is a point grouping method based on space and time to identify an event (hotspot) to be spread evenly in every area or have grouping in a certain area and statistically significant. This method is applied for case data only. Hotspot is defined as something unusual, anomalies, case deviations, outbreaks of a disease, a high group or also called a critical area. This research used an earthquake incidence data in Central Sulawesi in 2017-2018. This analysis obtained 3 hotspots but only 2 hotspots were statistically significant with p-value of less than 0.05. The two hotspots are the main hotspots which cover Donggala Regency, Palu City, and Parigi Moutang Regency, while secondary hotspots include Sigi Regency and Poso Regency.

The psychologic and psychosexual sequelae of cervical screening and disease are well recognized but most research has focused on women with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) or women with early (stage IB) to advanced cervical cancer. There has been little work looking at women with microinvasive cancer as a unique clinical identity. Many of these women have a similar diagnostic, treatment, and follow-up pathway to those with high-grade CIN. This could result in unrecognized and ongoing health concerns. We report on a questionnaire-based case–control study, comparing the concerns of women with microinvasive cervical cancer with those of women with high-grade CIN. Women with microinvasive cancer and controls with CIN2/3 diagnosed between 2000 and 2006, from a geographically defined population, were recruited and invited to complete a postal questionnaire consisting of the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and the Process Outcome Specific Measure (POSM). Twenty-eight women diagnosed with microinvasive cancer were identified and 18 participated (response rate 64%). Fifty-eight controls were matched by age and year of treatment with 26 responding (45%). About 18% of women with microinvasive cancer had a HADS depression score of 8 or more, compared to 12% of those with CIN (P= not significant). The HADS anxiety score of 8 or more occurred in 35% of each group. There were no significant differences in terms of POSM results for sexual activity, fertility, and developing cervical cancer in the future between cases and controls. We did not find a difference between women with a previous diagnosis of microinvasive cancer and those with high-grade CIN, in terms of ongoing concerns during their follow-up. We did not identify any additional concerns for women with microinvasive cancer in the care provided in the colposcopy service.

Although large-scale religious conflicts such as the Ambon and Poso cases have ended, it does not mean that Indonesia has been able to get out of the danger zone of violence, which is based on religion. One of the latent dangers of religious-based violence can be found in Gunung Sari, Sambirejo, Prambanan, Sleman, Yogyakarta, in which there are three Islamic groups: NU, Muhammadiyah, and Islam-Tawheed. Each group member has a different view, from religious rituals to their social interactions, even physical conflicts have occurred between them. For this reason, we are inte- rested in doing research as well as living there. Based on our research, it was found that no longer true of what Ahmad Salehudin had described in his previous research, today they appreciate religious differences and views about religion among them. Slowly but surely, they have practiced a pluralist theology (living Islam).

Stroke adalah kondisi gangguan peredaran darah di otak yang mengakibatkan perubahan fungsi otak. WHO menyebutkan 15 juta orang menderita stroke diseluruh dunia setiap tahun. Stroke berdampak pada penurunan kekuatan otot dan keseimbangan tubuh.penanganan yang baik dapat mencegah komplikasi, meningkatkan kemampuan pasiendalam aktivitas sehari-hari, dan kualitas hidup pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas Bridging Exercise terhadap kekuatan otot dan keseimbangan tubuh pada pasien stroke di RSUD Poso Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah dengan metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimental design dengan randomized pretest-posttest control group. Jumlah sampel 90 responden (67 responden kelompok intervensi Bridging Exercise, dan 23 responden kelompok kontrol). Mayoritas responden berusia 62-63 tahun, jenis kelamin perempuan (54,4%),dan riwayat stroke dengan serangan pertama (82,2%). Uji Wilcoxon menunjukan perubahan kekuatan otot dan keseimbangan tubuh (p=0,000) sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Uji Two independent sample test menunjukan ada perbedaan kekuatan otot (p=0,043) dan keseimbangan tubuh (p=0,000) antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol. Hasil regresi linear berganda menunjukan ada pengaruh Bridging Exercise terhadap perubahan kekuatan otot (p=0,024) dan ada pengaruh Bridging Exercise terhadap keseimbangan tubuh (p=0,000). Jika dilihat dari persamaan matematis intervensi Bridging Exercise memberikan pengaruh sebesar 1,317 kali terhadap keseimbangan tubuh. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa latihan Bridging Exercise berpengaruh terhadap kekuatan otot dan keseimbangan tubuh. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar intervensi Bridging Exercise sebagai dasar pertimbangan untuk terapi alternatif pasien stroke.

Phenotypic expression of resistance to potato Y potyvirus (PVY) and potato A potyvirus (PVA) was tested in 24 potato cultivars and an advanced breeding line using graft-inoculation under controlled conditions in the glasshouse. Resistance phenotypes were determined based on symptom expression and systemic infection detected with DAS-ELISA. Tubers were harvested from the PVA-inoculated plants and tested for PVA with ELISA. Sixteen potato cultivars expressed hypersensitive resistance (HR) to the strain group YO of PVY. Ute expressed extreme resistance (ER) to PVY (strain groups YO and YN) and PVA, and eight cultivars (Amazone, Bintje, Fambo, Posmo, Record, Rosamunda, Saturna and Van Gogh) expressed ER to PVA. These cultivars produced no PVA-infected tubers (tubers of Record were not tested). Matilda and Nicola expressed HR to PVA. The tubers of graft-inoculated Matilda produced no PVA-infected shoots, whereas shoots from Nicola tubers developed necrosis and severe mosaic symptoms and were PVA-infected based on results from ELISA. Comparison with purified PVA antigen (using ELISA) indicated that the secondarily infected shoots of the 14 PVA-susceptible cultivars contained 206-804 ng of PVA antigen per gram of leaf tissue.

The article is based on the materials of the ethnographic expedition conducted in the year 2002 among the Udmurt- Kalmez in Uni district of Kirov oblast which is located in the upper reaches of the Loban’ River, the right tributary of the Kilmez River. The paper provides information on demographic indicators, the area settled by the Udmurt- Kalmez , and about the dialect terms used by this local Udmurt group. The differences between the Udmurts-Kalmez and the Udmurts- Vatka are traced. The description of family and calendar rites is given focusing on settlements like the villages of Magi, Udmurt Porez, Malye Uni, Pazjal, Kljuchi, Malyj Polom, and others. Information is provided about the traditional public shrine of Tod’y oshmes (‘white / light spring’) of the Udmurts- Kalmez which acted under the influence of Orthodoxy as a sacred place for the local Udmurt and Russian people. These materials are connected to the processes of russification among the local Udmurts, the erosion of their language and culture due to the influence of the Russian population, the outflow of villagers to the urban areas, and the change in social and cultural infrastructure in the rural areas.

Tujuan penelitian menilai efektifitas kombinasi terapi contrast bath dengan foot massage dalam menurunkan edema kaki pada pasien CHF. Metode peneltiian quasi eksperimen desain two group pre-post test. Penelitian di laksanakan di RSUD Poso bulan Januari –April 2021. Sampel yaitu pasien CHF yang mengalami edema kaki sebanyak 30 orang dibagi dalam 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan. Kelompok perlakuan mendapatkan intervensi kombinasi contrast bath dengan foot massage. Hasil peneltiian menunjukkan reerata nilai lingkar kaki pada kelompok perlakuan sebelum intervensi yaitu 22,37 cm dan setelah intervensi 21,59 cm. Hasil uji statistik terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan rerata nilai lingkar kaki sebelum dan setelah intervensi (p = 0,000). Pada kelompok perlakuan rerata kedalaman edema kaki sebelum intervensi 4,97 cm dan setelah intervensi 2,07 cm. Hasil uji statistik terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan rerata kedalaman edema kaki kaki sebelum dan setelah intervensi (p = 0,000). Introduction: Artificial delivery with the Sectio Caesarea (SC) procedure can cause pain in the patient. Pain that is left untreated can have a negative impact on both the mother and the baby. Pain management can also use massage or aromatherapy interventions that provide a relaxing effect. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of combined therapy Swedish massage and lemon aromatherapy in reducing post-SC pain. Methods: Quasi-experimental design with two groups pre-post test. This study was conducted at Poso Regional Hospital from October to December 2019. The sample was 32 post-SC patients who experienced pain who were taken using the purposive sampling technique. Swedish massage intervention was carried out 4 times. The pain was measured before intervention and after intervention using the Numeric Rating Scale. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests. Results: This study showed that the intervention group with combined therapy Swedish massage and lemon aromatherapy showed a significant reduction in pain scores with a mean after the intervention of 3.19 and in the control group with Swedish massage only the mean value was 3.88, statistical analysis obtained p-value 0.031. Conclusion: The combined therapy Swedish massage and lemon aromatherapy is effective in reducing the pain score of post-SC patients, so it is suggested to be one of the nursing interventions to reduce post-SC pain

This is so that the implementation of the tasks of members is ready and reduces the risks and obstacles that occur. In human resources, the goal to be achieved is how to prepare qualified and healthy personnel, while the facilities and infrastructure as a tool to support how the implementation of tasks can run well because of the support of equipment and equipment that can facilitate members in achieving organizational goals. While the budget is a fund that is used to meet the needs in economic aspects as well as to provide goods by buying the goods needed. This study uses a qualitative method because according to the author this method is most appropriate for finding the facts in the field and for exploring more about the results obtained from the facts in the field. The subjects of this study were all members of Pamen, Pama, Bintara and Tamtama who were members of the 2015 Seagull Operation in Poso, Central Sulawesi. Data collection techniques used by the author include interviews, document completions and documentation in the process before, during and after carrying out the task. The results of research in human resources there are still personnel who do not comply with the guidelines or criteria needed by members so that there are still constraints in human resources, in facilities and infrastructure there are obstacles regarding accommodation, equipment and equipment that are not available up to the facilities and infrastructure that are needed it is not in accordance with its function, whereas in the budget the lack of or slow budget given and the source of the budget that is not appropriate is ineffective in the sub-section of the budget in the 2015 Seagull Operations by the Special Pioneer Group III Pioneer Company. <p><strong>Latar Belakang :</strong> Nyeri merupakan sesuatu yang tidak menyenangkan yang hanya dapat diungkapkan oleh individu yang mengalaminya. Salah satu terapi nonfarmakologi untuk mengatasi nyeri adalah tekhnik relaksasi genggam jari. Berdasarkan hasil studi awal yang di lakuakan di ruang kebidanan Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Poso melalui wawancara, perawat atau pun bidan belum pernah melakukan teknik relaksasi gengam jari pada pasien yang telah di lakukan<em> Sectio sesarea</em>. <strong>Tujuan:</strong> Untuk mengetahui pengaruh teknik relaksasi genggam jari terhadap tingkat nyeri pada pasien <em>post sectio caesarea</em> di ruang kebidanan Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Poso tahun 2017. <strong>Metode Penelitian :</strong> Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian <em>quasy experiment </em>dengan desain pada penelitian ini adalah <em>quasi Experimen</em>t <em>pre post test design</em> <em>with control group</em>. Subyek penelitian adalah pasien post operasi <em>Sectio sesarea</em> yang dirawat di ruang kebidanan. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik <em>Accidental Sampling</em> berjumlah 32 responden. Introduction. Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) comprises a heterogeneous group of disorders characterized by impaired antibody production. Kidney involvement in CVID is described in isolated and sporadic case reports. The objective of this study was to study the renal function pattern in CVID patients through glomerular and tubular function tests. Methods. Study of 12 patients with CVID diagnosis and 12 healthy control individuals. Glomerular filtration rate (GFR), fractional excretion of sodium (FENa+) and potassium (FEK+), urinary concentration, and acidification capacity were measured. In addition, microalbuminuria and urinary monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) were evaluated as markers of selectivity of the glomerular barrier and inflammation, respectively. Results. In relation to glomerular markers, all CVID patients had normal GFR (>90 mL/min/1.73 m2), and microalbuminuria and urinary MCP-1 levels were also similar to those of controls. Interestingly, CVID patients had reduced urinary concentration capacity, as demonstrated by lower U/POsm ratio, when compared to controls. Also, while all control subjects achieved a urinary pH less than 5.3, no CVID patients showed a decrease in urinary pH to such levels in response to acid loading with CaCl2, characterizing impaired urinary acidification capacity. Conclusion. Patients showed a trend towards an elevated prevalence of tubular dysfunction, mainly related to urinary acidification and concentration capacities.

The findings of this researchare as follows. 1) The movement of Laskar Jihad alumni in Mujur, Disctrict of Kroya,Cilacap Regency converts itself from its nature as a Jihad-oriented movement (inconflict area of Ambon and Poso) to an education-oriented movement. 2) There aresome different social responds to this movement, i.e. [a] some people give neutralrespond to this movement and do not feel bothered with the existence of thismovement, but they do not give any support to it; [b] some people give positiverespond, do not feel bothered, and support the movement; [c] some people givenegative respond to it, feel bothered and feel disturbed by this movement. Thevariety of responds depends on whether the existence of this movement will giveadvantage, disadvantage, even threat to each group of society. 3) Local governmentof Kroya District gives a neutral respond to this movement and other religiousmovement existing in the district. Abstrak: Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pertama gerakan salafi alumnilaskar jihad di Desa Mujur Kecamatan Kroya Kabupaten Cilacap mengalamipergeseran dari pola gerakan jihadi (gerakan “jihad” di wilayah konflik, Ambondan Poso) menjadi pola gerakan yang berorientasi pada pendidikan. Kedua,respons masyarakat terhadap gerakan salafi beragam, yaitu: [1] ada kelompokmasyarakat yang merespon dengan sikap netral, mereka tidak merasa terganggudengan keberadaan gerakan salafi, tetapi mereka juga tidak mendukung gerakantersebut, [2] ada kelompok masyarakat yang merespon dengan positif, merekamerasa tidak terganggu dan mendukung keberadaan gerakan salafi, [3] adakelompok masyarakat yang merespon dengan negatif, mereka merasa tergangguatau dirugikan dengan keberadaan gerakan salafi. Objective: To determine the effect of a periodized aquatic exercise program on functional autonomy in post-menopausal women with Parkinson's disease. Methods: Nine post-menopausal women diagnosed with idiopathic Parkinson's disease, with stage I-III according to Hoehn and Yahr scale, (age 60.4 ± 3.87 years) participated in the 16-week of periodized aquatic exercise program five times a week, 30 minutes of aquatic exercise with work heart rate reserve of 40-50% (1-8th week) increasing the load to 50-60% (9-16th week. The protocol of the Group of Latin-American Development for Maturity (GDLAM) was used to evaluate functional autonomy; As statistical analyses student T test for paired samples was used, also percent changes (Δ %) were calculated, the results showed significant improvement (p<0.05) comparing before and after the aquatic exercise program in 10 meters walk test (C 10m) (p=0.001) and general GDLAM index (IAF) (p=0.003), percent changes (Δ %) showed positive improvements in the five components of GDLAM. Conclusion: Periodized aquatic exercise program was able to enhance (C 10m) and (IAF) however, will be appropriated in the future more studies to better clarify the possibilities of improvements between aquatic exercise program and functional autonomy in post-menopausal women with Parkinson's disease. Resumen. Objetivo: Evaluar el efecto de un programa de entrenamiento periodizado de hydrogimnasia sobre la autonomía funcional en adultos mayores con enfermedad de Parkinson. Método: once adultos mayores diagnosticados con enfermedad de Parkinson idiopática, con estadios I-III según la escala de Hoehn y Yahr, (5) masculinos y (6) femeninos (edad 66.8± 4.81 años), participaron en un programa de entrenamiento de hydrogimnasia 5 veces por semana en un periodo de 16 semanas, compuesto por ejercicios aerobios de hydrogimnasia con intensidad de 40% a 50% de su frecuencia cardíaca de reserva de la semana 1 a la 8 y una periodización con aumento de carga de 50% a 60% de su frecuencia cardíaca de reserva de la semana 9 a la 16, monitoreado por pulsómetro polar FT1. La autonomía funcional se evaluó mediante el protocolo del Grupo de Desarrollo Latino Americano para la Madurez (GDLAM) antes y después del programa. Resultados: Se mostraron mejoras significativas (p<0,05) al comparar la igualdad de la varianza mediante la prueba t Student para muestras relacionadas en el test de caminar 10 metros (C 10m) (p=0,002) y el índice de autonomía funcional (IAF) (p=0,002), los cambios porcentuales (Δ%) mostraron mejoras en los componentes del protocolo GDLAM. Conclusión: El entrenamiento periodizado de hydrogimnasia fue capaz de mejorar (C 10m) e (IAF) en adultos mayores con enfermedad de Parkinson, aun sin embargo, se requieren futuros estudios para aclarar las posibilidades de mejora en el ejercicio de hydrogimnasia y autonomía funcional.

Up to now, detailed investigation of tubular function in patients with endemic nephropathy have been performed in the relatively small number of patients who have already been in chronic renal failure /3,4,5,9,15/. That is why we started this work with the aim to determine renal function of the patients suffering by endemic nephropathy in different stages of the disease, especially in the early stage of the disease. The study included 119 patients with endemic nephropathy who were grouped according to creatinine clearance values into four groups (Table 1). The first group covered the patients with normal crearinine clearance values, and other three covered the patients who were in the different stages of renal failure. The diagnosis of endemic nephropathy was established according to criteria given by Danilovic /7/ and Velimirovic /8/ after ruling out the known renal diseases. The results of clinical and laboratory examinations were processed by appropriate epidemiological and statistical techniques. The results proved that there was no significant difference between sexes of our patients (p>0,05). Objective examination reveals characteristic tan pale yellow with copperish glow on the cheeks, in 15,48% of our patients in the early stage of the disease, which is in accordance with the results of Velimirovic/8/. Among nephropathy patients 13% of them had kidney smaller than normal measured by sonography, and even 51% measured by static scintigraphy, in the early phase of the disease (Table 4, Table 5). The earlier works /11,12/ mainly supported that kidneys get smaller during renal insufficiency, and in the early phase of the disease kidneys have a normal size, whereas the later works indicated that even the patients with normal glomerular filtration have smaller kidneys/13,14,15,16/. The laboratory findings and urine analysis of this disease suggested absens of biochemical indicators of inflammation in endemic nephropathy patients (Table 2, Table 3), which is in accordance with the previous in investigations. We noticed correlation between ceatinine clearance values and values of serum beta 2 microglobulin (r==,56; p==,0002; Figure 1). It has been documented that with decreased of creatinine clearance values serum values of beta 2 microglobulin increased, in chronic renal failure /22/. Quantitative measuring of proteinuria shows values less than 1,0g/l in all examined patients. Proteinuria of tubular type has been described in endemic nephropathy/5,8,13,16/. Beta 2 microglobulinuria have been registered at 10,97% patients with normal creatinine clearance values (Table 7). Increased urinry contrecation of beta 2 microglobulin is generally accepted as an important feature of endemic nephropathy /19,20,21/. Glicosuria increased with the progression of the disease. Urine osmolallity of endemic nephropathy patients decreased with the progression of chronic renal failure (Table 6). 65,46% of the investigated patients of the first group, who were in the clinically early phase of the disease, had decreased urine osmolallity (measuring by coefficient of osmolallity U osm/Posm). The tubular reabsorbtion of the phosphate decreased with the progression of chronic renal failure and that correlation was statistically significant r<0,69; p<0,05; Figure 2). Fractional tubular excretion of sodium increased with the progression of endemic nephropathy (Table7). The obteined results of the function of proximal tubul are comparabile with the results of the other authors, but in the smaller number of patients /4,13,15,16/. Our results of functional investigations of kidney et patients with endemic nephropathy suggests primary tubular dysfunction, and reduced kidney size and that was registered in the early phase of the disease.

This study uses qualitative methods through observation and in-depth inteviews with selected informants by purposive sampling technique. The results of the study shows that in carrying out the rebranding process, the Poso regency tourism office has done several things, including trying to promote its area as a safe, peaceful and fair area through participation in various tourism events at both domestic and overseas; Cooperating with security forces in creating safe conditions in the Poso Regency area; Changing the tourism tagline, which was originally “mandago-dago ri tanah Poso”, then became “the land of thousand megaliths” to introduce the uniqueness of Poso land which has many historical relics in the form of megalithic statues. AbstractThis research aims to determine the differences between learning with verbal methods and verbal-visual combination methods towards the retention of learning result of the fourth semester students of nursing program in Poso. This research is an experimental study with a prospective approach. A sample were 68 students and selected using a simple random system. Students were then divided into two groups, which were group A and group B, consisted of 34 people. The verbal - visual combinations method was tested on group A and the verbal presentation method was on group B. The data were analyzed using the "t" test at the 95% of confidence level. This research shows that there is an increase on the verbal method with the average value of 555,338 or 118.57%, while in the verbal-visual combination method, it increase in the average value of 1986.68 or 446.52%. So, it can be concluded, there is a significant difference between learning result retension with verbal method and verbal-visual combinations method. The results obtained are formed in to 4 groups of districts/cities that have similarities among its members but different from other groups. In the group 1 is Palu, Group 2 contained Parigi Moutong districts. In the group 3 consists of Banggai, Poso, Sigi and Toli-Toli Districts. In the group 4 consist of Tojo Una-una, Morowali, Donggala, Morowali Utara, Banggai Laut, Buol, and Banggai Islands. Stress value obtained is 4.354% and the value of R^2 is 99.568%, which indicates that the data used can be mapped properly.

OBJECTIVE: To assess the plasma levels and action of arginine vasopressin (AVP) in patients with Cushing's disease. There are many reports that patients with Addison's disease have increased AVP levels associated with hyponatraemia and hypoosmolality, but none on the dynamics of secretion of this neurohormone during osmolality-based stimulation in patients with chronic hypercortisolism. DESIGN AND SUBJECTS: The plasma AVP concentration and the urinary and plasma osmolality after a 7.5-h water deprivation test (WDT) were evaluated in 13 patients with Cushing's disease and 15 normal (control) individuals. In patients with Cushing's disease we also assessed the urinary osmolality in response to 10 micrograms i.v. desmopressin (DDAVP) administered at the end of the WDT. RESULTS: At the end of the WDT, urinary osmolality was significantly lower in patients with Cushing's disease (511.5 +/- 148.5 mOsm/l) than in the normal subjects (981.1 +/- 107.1 mOsm/l, P < 0.001), whereas plasma osmolality did not differ between the two groups. Consequently, the urine/plasma osmolality ratio (Uosm/Posm) was lower in patients with Cushing's disease than in normal individuals (1.8 +/- 0.5 compared with 3.4 +/- 0.4, P < 0.001). The AVP concentration also was greater (7.3 +/- 3.1 pmol/l) in those with Cushing's disease than in the controls (3.9 +/- 2.3 pmol/l, P < 0.005). After administration of DDAVP to the hypercortisolaemic patients, the urinary osmolality attained (718.0 +/- 200.0 mOsm/l) was still lower than that in the normal group at the end of WDT (P < 0.005). CONCLUSIONS: Patients with Cushing's disease presented higher AVP levels and smaller Uosm/Posm ratios than normal subjects. After DDAVP, the patients with Cushing's disease were unable to concentrate the urine adequately. These data suggest that the kidney shows resistance to the action of both endogenous and exogenous AVP in patients with Cushing's disease.

This paper explains about disengagement by using the concept of restorative justice to ex- convicts of terrorism and their networks in Indonesia. Restorative justice is carried out by voluntarily bringing together the terrorist bombing victims with ex-convicted terrorism cases and their networks in Indonesia. Focus group discussions are used in carrying out restorative justice thus ex-convicts of terrorism and their networks can be more open in issuing opinions. The findings in this study are the sincerity of terrorist bombing victims who have forgiven the ex-convicts of terrorism, even before the meeting, have made the ex-convicts of terrorism feel touched, cried and apologized for the actions of their friends and what they themselves have done. In addition, restorative justice is not effective if it is carried out against former terrorism inmates from Poso, Central Sulawesi. Restorative justice can be one of the methods of disengagement for ex-convicted terrorists and their networks which will be effective in the future. Building a good relationship with former terrorism inmates and their networks need to be done before the implementation of restorative justice.

Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb, which is well-known as Java turmeric, has been extensively used in pharmaceutical industries in Indonesia. In spite of this commercial value, the identity of this species is commonly mistaken from other similar orange rhizomes Curcuma. Correct identity of these species is vital in pharmaceutical industries. The objective of the study was to determine genetic diversity of 32 accession Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb. Genomic DNA was extracted from leaf using Sodium Dodesyl Sulphate (SDS) modification. Amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) was carried out according to the protocol ofAFLPTM plant mapping kit and the final polymerase chain reaction (PCR) products were separated using The Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer. The number of fragment produced by 12 pairs primer combination of AFLP ranged from 42 to 60 with an average of 52. Data obtained was analyzed by the NTSys program. From the AFLP amplification on 32 DNA samples, it was proven that the accession of Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb. had a high degree of diversity. Based on analysis of AFLP and unweighted pair group with arithme average (UPGMA) it was shown that the accession of Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb. could be grouped into two cluster at relative ecludian distance of 0.10 (10%).
