Full textThis research raises the problem of the support of the creators of innovative companies. How to personalize, in the medium and long term, the accompaniment of creators in their innovative and risky projects while optimizing, in the short term, the use of public support for business creation ? How do the relationships between project promoters, support staff and managers of structures that support innovative entrepreneurial projects evolve? 15 managers, 27 coaches and 24 entrepreneurs were interwieved. The results confirm the application of the dominant theories founding the entrepreneurial accompaniment on the execution of a business plan and the search for financial assistance. They reveal an inadequacy of the type of accompaniment to the project phase, a relative inadequacy of the typologies of the accompanists and a certain lack of knowledge, by the actors in the field, of the academic models of accompaniment. They allow to draw up a typology distinguishing 3 types of accompaniment (facilitators, prescribers, mixed), 2 profiles of accompanists (experts, generalists) and 3 phases of accompaniment (exploration, structuring, acceleration). The initiatives to support startups are mainly oriented towards managing the risks of innovation and business creation. They pass more and more by accompaniments or multiple incubations. Their effectiveness depends less on the experiences than on the personalities of the actors involved. They are sensitive to the effects of mimicry and managerial mode

Full textThe expression Business Model appaered in the mid-90's during the strat-up phenomenon. Largely employed by practitioners, the concept is not yet considered as a real research object by the academic community. This thesis uses the concept in Entrepreneurship and aims at answering the question. Is the Business Model and Operational Concept in the Firm Foundation Context ? The first part of the work tries to clarify the concept through the analysis of the existing works on it. The Business Model is about the value proposition of a firm, about how it is build, about the revenue models and the value exchanges with all the stakeholders. We also present our theoretical proposition based on three theories. The stakeholder theory and the resource-based-view allow addressing the question of the components of the Business Model, while the conventions theory helps understanding the nature of the Business Model, as a business convention shared by the stakeholders of a company. To answer the initial question, we choose to implement ourselves the Business Model with entrepreneurs through an action research process that implies both pratical and theoretical results. The Business Model appears as a convention related to the creation, the remuneration and the share of value

Full textDevelopment projects, with their processes from design to manufacturing, aim to deliver a product with desired characteristics. Global risk management in the product development should, then, consider all the mentioned aspects: from process to final product. Unfortunately, this is often not the case. The thesis, hence, aims at representing project and process risks and their interactions. The proposed model includes interactions within development process and its product individually, but also those related to FBS framework. The solution focuses on risk assessment and presents identification, analysis and evaluation of risks. Simulator has been developed for risk evaluation. This tool is based on multi-agent technology, fuzzy cognitive maps, epidemiological simulation and design theory. The solution provides comprehensive process-product view on risk management. It enables bottom-up and, both, qualitative and quantitative risk representation. Monte Carlo, multi-view and “what if” analysis provide global risk evaluation

Full textSince the end of the 2000s, crowdfunding platforms have been developing in France with the promise of a direct and disintermediated relationship between project owners and funders, facilitating access to funds for project owners and allowing French Internet users to fund projects of their choice. This PhD dissertation studies this phenomenon by combining ethnographic observation and interviews with various actors who have participated in the development of this activity. The research shows that the institutionalization of crowdfunding in France stems from a collective action involving industry professionals, representatives of public authorities, platform partners, and the media. While platforms defend a model of self-organization and autonomy, it appears that their development would not have been possible without the intervention of public authorities, who have created a favorable legal framework to crowdfunding, in order to change the relationship of the French population with its savings and to encourage the contribution to the economic health of new firms in a context of crisis. The study also shows that, despite the extreme heterogeneity of the three majority crowdfunding models studied (reward-based, lending-based, and equity-based), there is a collective effort to highlight common characteristics and to blur the heterogeneity of the sectors (on the one hand the world of cultural creation, on the other the world of finance). Platforms, as socio-technical devices, seek to present themselves as neutral instruments that favor a natural match between fund seekers and funders. This research shows that actually the growth of this financing model is the result of a market labor carried out by professionals in the sector to bring two types of users on their platform: the fund-seekers on one side and the funders on the other. The research also shows that the platforms strategic decisions try to balance out quantity and quality of projects. To reduce risks, platforms put in place qualification and project selection processes, often imported from traditional finance - contradicting the idea of democratization of access to funding. In their development efforts, they also seek to build relationships with traditional players from the world of finance. In doing so, they reintroduce new intermediaries that complicate the relationship between fund-seekers and funders

Full textNew innovative venture creation embodies strong stakes in terms of economic development but its end really lies in the sustainable development of recently created companies. This investigation joins this perspective by focusing on the development of nascent entrepreneur. It proposes an innovative reflection related to the dynamics that he/she impulses when being accompanied in an incubator. Our objective is to encourage the “incubator consultant” to enrich his skills and practices by engaging a development of the nascent entrepreneur’s autonomy of the he supports who is confronted with a complex activity and with numerous changes. Conceiving, implementing and managing all the events occurring during the incubation process, we consider that the entrepreneur is in the core of the process; his/her mental representations play a decisive role and their evolution support the knowledge (learning processes) he should construct as a novice in many fields of business venture. Our results show that the learning contents are related to the progressive building of his project and entrepreneur role. We show that the incubator consultant must strengthen the entrepreneur learning contents and processes during the incubation period, in order to insure a long term impact. Such a dynamic process of skill building will favour his/her self confidence, entrepreneurial attitude and autonomy facing his new activity. Starting from our research results, the operating dimension we adopt in this research guides us to propose a set of recommendations about co-producing and organizing the accompaniment relationship

Full textSince December 2006 the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union adopted recommendations on key competencies for lifelong learning. In January 2018, focus is on improving key skills, the development of entrepreneurship and innovation will interest us for the writing of this thesis. In the context of lifelong training, professionalization more particularly concerns the training of adults who now have to work for more than forty years. The 7th key skill of the Brussels common core of skills concerns the spirit of initiative and enterprise: the ability to put ideas into action through creativity, innovation and risk-taking, as well as the ability to program to manage projects. The notion of risk will be approached from different points of view, in particular that of project leaders who choose permaculture. The permacultural flower, the ethics of virtues, critical thinking, global thinking will be addressed in a systemic and holistic approach such as that implemented by project leaders and entrepreneurs in permaculture. The notions of value, competence and their changes will be put into perspective with identity, professionalization, in the more global framework of a search for meaning to be given to human existence. In the period of unemployment, economic and social crisis, political changes, COVID 19 has created new constraints which will also be taken into account when analyzing the observations. This thesis is an exploratory approach to the change of identity of the project leader during the creation of a company. It corresponds to a point of view at a moment of my own life course. It proposes to contribute to the understanding of the factors which intervene during the process of change of professional life. Between deprofessionalization linked to the old profession and the process of professionalization in which the change of identity and the acquisition of skills will take place, the process of reorientation of professional life will be observed in particular from a philosophical point of view, without neglecting the ontological conception of the human being which should enable him to give coherence to the meaning of his life. The multifactorial and multimodal aspects of the skills acquired as well as the components of professional identity are the subject of data collected during fifteen interviews, ten of which were specifically carried out with permaculturists. This analysis attempts to highlight the perception of professional identity and its impact on the change decision process. The acquisition of new skills is observed as a result of the program of the European Commission

Full textIn this dissertation we identify the determinants of the longevity and the probability of survival of small businesses created by young graduates benefiting from bank loans at enhanced rates. The focus is on the policy impact of public support for the creation of companies. The data are based on a survey conducted in 2013 under the tutelage of the University of Sfax (Tunisia) of a cohort of 160 companies five years after they were first formed. The response rate was 81.25%. After discussing the issue of the survival of newly-established companies and the factors that promote their survival, we use duration models specifically the Cox model (1972). This analysis allows us to shed light on a business is more likely to survive if the entrepreneur is a male who started his business within a year of graduating and comes from an entrepreneurial background, stimulating his entrepreneurial spirit. The improved longevity of small companies ensues from the similarity between the entrepreneur’s previous occupation and the activity of his own company, and from the initial start-up capital if it exceeds 30.000 DT. Aid granted by the State for new promoters (investment subsidy, grant, and reduction in social security contributions) does not help reduce the risk of entrepreneurial failure with the exception of State aid to support a portion of employees’ wages. On the other hand, a company benefiting from entrepreneurial training before creation and from support post-creation sees its probability of survival rise

Full textThe objective of this thesis work is to design an intervention process to support Silver Economy project leaders in the development of more acceptable technologies to support the aging well of the elderly in their homes. Our scientific approach is based on an analysis of living lab co-design methodologies (Dubé et al., 2014 and Labarthe and Francou, 2014) and assessment methodologies of social acceptability (Fishbein & Ajzen, 1975 ; Venkatesh and al., 2003). Thus, we selected UTAUT 2 (Venkatesh et al., 2012) and the technological persuasion grid (Nemery et al., 2011) as our assessment and co-design models. The application of our evaluation and co-design system with seniors allowed a significant increase in the intention to use the two gerontechnologies studied. We observed an increase of 10.87% the intention to use the first gerontechnology and 32.03% of the second gerontechnology. This device proved to be more effective in terms of improving technological factors such as expected effort (+ 35.36%) and hedonic motivation (+ 76.44%) than individual factors linked to subjective representations in particular of the expected performance (+ 9.78%) and the social influence (+ 10.38%) of gerontechnology

Full textThe theoretical and practical background of this doctoral work consists of the results of a previous research project, as we carried out a very rewarding experience, about the emergence of collaborative projects research and development, in innovation networks. Pole of competitiveness, clusters and Francilien Innovation Centre, were, in fact, observed. The main contribution of this thesis, with respect to this previous work is that we have observed not only the poles of competitiveness, but also the carrier companies of collaborative projects exploration. In addition to a descriptive analysis of coopetitive behavior and organizational learning within these networks, we have also categorized these behaviors, through their type and degree of recurrence. Moreover, from those most preferred behaviors, we have had the ambition to attempt their explanation for, ultimately, develop a model of functioning of clusters without excluding, the proposal of the release of a number of theoretically justified recommendations, that of good practices guide, for carrier companies to R and D projects. Thus, we are aiming at the optimization the quality of operation of these networks. The originality of the results of this doctoral thesis lies in the addition to the document of the thesis, of a separate booklet, bound and illustrated, in order, after its validation by my jury, to print 30 copies and deliver it, in recognition, to the interlocutors of our sample of PDC and EP (CEO poles, Scientific Directors, Project Manager, Engineer, Creator of the Company, Research Director, Driver innovation), who have responded during face-to-face interview, to 34 questions of 02 guides. Copious primary data were patiently transcribed, allowing, in this way, the verification of 05 hypothesis
