Abstract:
Although hydroelectric power plants generate most electricity in Brazil, the dams provide environmental barriers which also include the interruption of fish migration. Current study, conducted prior to the construction of São Domingos HPP on the shaft of the Cachoeira Branca (waterfall) on the Verde river, state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, evaluated the genetic diversity of two natural populations of dourado (Salminus brasiliensis) located downstream (Population A - PopA) and upstream (Population B - PopB) the waterfall. Eight primers were employed to analyze 56 specimens (PopA: 26; PopB: 30) and observed in 102 fragments, of which 86 were polymorphic (84.3%). Low frequency fragments (PopA: 2; PopB: 1), three limiting fragments (PopA) and three exclusive fragments (PopB) were identified. The intra-population genetic variability calculated the Shannon index, whilst the percentage of polymorphic fragments showed high rate variability within each population (PopA: 0.300 and 60.80% and PopB: 0.411 and 79.40%, respectively). The distance and genetic identity revealed high genetic differentiation (0.076 and 0.927, respectively). Results reveal that populations have high intra-population genetic variability and genetic differentiation between them, with low gene flow.

Abstract:
Most of the electricity used in Brazil comes from hydroelectric plants, mainly due to the great availability of its water resources. However, the construction of these plants denotes serious problems related to migration of native fish and the genetic conservation of stocks. Current study evaluates two wild population of Leporinus elongatus (piapara) located downstream (Population A - PopA) and upstream (Population B - PopB) of the Cachoeira Branca before the construction of the São Domingos hydroelectric plant (HPP) in the Mato Grosso do Sul State, Brazil. Thirty samples from caudal fins were collected and analyzed for each population. Eighty-nine fragments, including 72 polymorphic ones (80.9%), were analyzed. Low fragments (less than 0.100) in both populations (PopA = 2 and PopB = 3) were identified. Nine fixed fragments (frequency 1.000) (PopA = 3 and PopB = 6), and four exclusive fragments (PopA = 3 and PopB = 1) were also reported. The genetic variability within populations, calculated by Shannon Index and by percentage of polymorphic fragments, indicated high rates of intrapopulation variability (PopA = 0.309 and 61.80% and PopB = 0.392 and 71.90%, respectively). Genetic distance and identity rates (0.089 and 0.915, respectively) were different between populations, whilst AMOVA showed that most variations lie within the populations and not between them. Fst and Nm rates showed moderate genetic differentiation with low numbers of migrants. Results reveal populations with high intra-population genetic variability and genetic differentiation, with low gene flow. The passage ladders of São Domingos HPP should control fish transposition to preserve genetic variability.

Abstract:
Ralstonia solanacearum OE1-1 (OE1-1) is pathogenic to tobacco. The type III-secreted effector protein popA of OE1-1 showed 97.6% identity to popA of R. solanacearum GMI1000, which is not pathogenic to tobacco. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction analysis showed that popA in OE1-1 was expressed at 3 h after inoculation (HAI), but not before, in infiltrated-tobacco leaves. Pathogenicity analysis using a popABC operon-deleted mutant of OE1-1 (ΔABC) showed that popABC is not directly involved in the pathogenicity of OE1-1. When Papa, which constitutively expresses popA, was infiltrated into tobacco leaves, popA was expressed by 0.5 HAI. Papa could no longer multiply or spread in tobacco leaves and was no longer virulent. Moreover, the hypersensitive response (HR) and expression of HR-related genes were not induced in Papa-infiltrated leaves. Papa was also avirulent in a tobacco root-dipping inoculation assay. These results suggest that the expression of popA in Papa immediately after invasion triggers the suppression of bacterial proliferation and movement, resulting in loss of virulence. However, Papa retained its virulence when directly inoculated into xylem vessels. This result suggests that tobacco plants can recognize PopA when it is expressed early in disease development, and respond with an effective defense in the intercellular spaces.

Latar Belakang: Media informasi sangat berperan penting dalam mentransfer informasi kepada masyarakat. Banyak masyarakat belum mengetahui alat kontrasepsi. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh konseling PoPa-B pada ibu nifas terhadap pengetahuan dan keputusan memilih kontrasepsi di Klinik Ramlah Parjib. Metedologi: Penelitian Quasi Eksperimental dengan One Group Pretest Posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 41 orang dengan teknik Probability Sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar kuesioner yang sudah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Uji statistik yang digunakan yakni Uji McNemar. Hasil : Pengetahuan responden sebelum diberikan konseling PoPa-B menunjukkan hampir seluruhnya berpengetahuan kurang. Sedangkan, setelah diberikan konseling PoPa-B hampir seluruh responden berpengetahuan baik. Hasil Uji McNemar didapatkan nilai ρvalue 0,000 < α 0,05, artinya adanya pengaruh konseling PoPa-B pada ibu nifas terhadap pengetahuan dan keputusan memilih kontrasepsi di Klinik Ramlah Parjib. Kesimpulan: Materi PoPa-B hendaknya dimasukkan kedalam kurikulum pendidikan bidan dan sebagai sumber informasi yang inovatif.

Abstract:
A practical solution to the power allocation problem in ultra-dense small cell networks can be achieved by using deep reinforcement learning (DRL) methods. Unlike traditional algorithms, DRL methods are capable of achieving low latency and operating without the need for global real-time channel state information (CSI). Based on the actor–critic framework, we propose a policy optimization of the power allocation algorithm (POPA) for small cell networks in this paper. The POPA adopts the proximal policy optimization (PPO) algorithm to update the policy, which has been shown to have stable exploration and convergence effects in our simulations. Thanks to our proposed actor–critic architecture with distributed execution and centralized exploration training, the POPA can meet real-time requirements and has multi-dimensional scalability. Through simulations, we demonstrate that the POPA outperforms existing methods in terms of spectral efficiency. Our findings suggest that the POPA can be of practical value for power allocation in small cell networks.

Resumo: Este projeto teve como objetivo estudar a influência de diferentes processos de desidratação (secagem em leito pulso-fluidizado, atomizador - "spray dryer" e em liofilizador) de polpa de maracujá na qualidade do produto final em pó. Todos estes processos visam à obtenção do produto em pó, apresentando vantagens e desvantagens em nível de manuseio e custos. Entretanto, são escassos na literatura estudos que comparem estes processos com foco na qualidade do produto final. O leite desnatado foi utilizado para avaliar sua eficiência na substituição de parte dos aditivos comumente utilizados na produção deste tipo de produto, como, por exemplo, a maltodextrina e a goma Arábica, os quais têm como função a diminuição das dificuldades tecnológicas encontradas na secagem de sucos de frutas e outros produtos com alta quantidade de açúcar devido à higroscopicidade, termoplasticidade e capacidade de caramelização. Inicialmente, realizaram-se as análises físico-químicas da polpa de maracujá e do leite desnatado, onde foram obtidos resultados muito próximos aos da literatura, sendo que as pequenas diferenças obtidas foram atribuídas à variedade do maracujá utilizado, época e local de cultivo e no caso do leite em pó desnatado, devido provavelmente às diferentes marcas comerciais analisadas na literatura. A secagem da polpa de maracujá sem aditivos, em diversas condições operacionais, levou a um rendimento praticamente nulo, fazendo com que o processo fosse considerado inviável nestas condições. Conseguiu-se obter o pó com a polpa de maracujá e os aditivos no secador por atomização ("spray dryer"). Utilizando a maltodextrina como aditivo, o maior rendimento (23.32%) obtido foi para a proporção de 1:4:4 (polpa de maracujá:maltodextrina:leite desnatado) ou seja, 50% dos sólidos de aditivo substituído por leite desnatado... Abstract: The aim of this research was to study the influence of different drying methods (pulsed fluid bed dryer, spray dryer and freeze dryer) of passion fruit pulp in the quality of final powder product. All these processes have the purpose to obtain a powder product, showing advantages and disadvantages in terms of handmade and costs. Nonetheless, the literature has a few studies related to comparison between these processes, focusing final product quality. Skim milk was utilized to evaluate its efficiency on partial substitution of additives commonly used in this kind of processes like maltodextrin and Arabic gum, which have the function of minimizing technologies difficulties in drying fruit juices and other products with high quantity of sugar due to hygroscopicity and termoplasticity in high temperatures and humidity. Initially, physicochemical analysis of passion fruit pulp and skim milk showed values close to those described by literature, with little differences due to passion fruit varieties used, time and place of culture. For skim milk the differences can be explain due to existence of a lot of commercial marks. Drying of passion fruit pulp without additives in many operations conditions had a small yield, becoming process impracticable in these conditions. It was obtained powdered passion fruit and additives in spray dryer. Using maltodextrin the greater yield (23.32%) was obtained for 1:4:4 ratio (passion fruit pulp:maltodextrin:skim milk) that is 50% of solids from additives substituted by skim milk. To Arabic gum the best results (21.96%) was obtained to 1:2:6 (passion fruit pulp:Arabic gum:skim milk) with 75% of solids from additives substituted by skim milk. The total substitution of additives (maltodextrin or Arabic gum) by skim milk also showed good results (15.5%). Esta pesquisa propõe uma reflexão sobre as convergências entre a moda, a música e o consumo, ressaltando a influência da cultura pop na sociedade capitalista contemporânea. Faz-se um paralelo com o rock brasileiro dos anos 1980 e 1990, mais especificamente com o discurso lítero-musical enquanto prática discursiva contestadora que nos dará suporte para discorrer sobre o consumo de moda e de outros produtos que servem como passaporte de inserção social do sujeito. Pretendese explicitar que o discurso empreendido nas letras do rock destas décadas apresentam críticas em relação à cultura pop, aos meios de comunicação de massa e ao consumismo. Neste sentido a relação entre a moda e o rock pode ser considerada como um processo de produção de significado, bem como, símbolo de identidade, destacando tendências e transformações. Demonstra-se aqui, a importância tanto da moda, quanto da música, não apenas com uma aglomeração de produtos de bens e consumo, mais sim, como uma produção social e artística, pois, estes meios de expressão podem reproduzir acontecimentos do cotidiano num contexto amplo, político, sociológico, histórico e cultural. Neste contexto discutiremos questões que nos instigam sobre sociedade de consumo, consumismo e a estreita relação estabelecida com os meios de comunicação. This research proposes a reflection on the convergence between fashion, music and consumption, emphasizing the influence of \"pop culture\" in contemporary capitalist society. Is a parallel with the Brazilian rock of the 1980s and 1990s, more specifically with the literary-musical discourse as oppositional discursive practice that will give us support to discuss the consumption of fashion and other products that serve as a passport to social inclusion of the subject. It is intended to clarify that the discourse undertaken in rock lyrics of these decades have criticisms of the \"pop culture, the mass media and consumerism. It is intended to clarify that the discursive practice of rock lyrics of this decade can be considered as a meaningful production process, as well as a symbol of identity, highlighting trends and transformations, incorporating the broad sense of fashion. It is shown here, the importance of both the fashion, the music, not just an agglomeration of products of consumer goods and, more so, as a social and artistic production, since these means of expression can reproduce everyday events in a broader political, sociological, historical and cultural context. In this context we will discuss issues that prompt us about consumer society, consumerism and the close relationship established with the media. Peptídeos antimicrobianos são componentes importantes do sistema de defesa de diversos organismos contra possíveis invasores. Em geral, são pequenos (até 100 aminoácidos), catiônicos e anfipáticos. Eles têm despertado o interesse da comunidade científica por sua capacidade de atuação contra micróbios, que não conseguem desenvolver resistência a esses peptídeos. Ou seja, eles emergem como complemento e/ou alternativa ao uso dos antibióticos convencionais. Este trabalho desenvolveu um modelo computacional de um peptídeo híbrido de pediocina A (N-terminal) e plantaricina 149a (C-terminal), dois peptídeos bactericidas. Dados experimentais obtidos pelo grupo da prof. Dra. Rosângela Itri do IFUSP foram utilizados para modelagem e comparação dos resultados. Foram feitas simulações de MD do peptídeo interagindo com membranas puras e mistas de POPC e POPG utilizando os parâmetros do campo de força GROMOS 53A6 e 54A7. As simulações com uma unidade do peptídeo revelaram a atualização 54A7 era a mais adequado para modelagem desses sistemas. Os mapas de estrutura secundária mostraram que o peptídeo adquire configuração mais ordenada quando interage com membranas com maior quantidade de POPG em sua composição. As simulações com duas unidades do peptídeo sugeririam que o peptídeo interage e penetra na camada de POPG através da região Cterminal. Na simulação com membrana de POPC, nenhuma das porções terminais ficou estável no interior da membrana. O efeito do aumento da concentração de peptídeos foi examinado colocando cinco e dez unidades do peptídeo para interagir com as membranas. Na membrana de POPC, os peptídeos não formam um único aglomerado e causam pouca perturbação na bicamada. Já na membrana de POPG, o efeito da interação do aglomerado de peptídeos é acentuado, provocando grandes deformações na bicamada lipídica, praticamente a destruindo. Esse fenômeno sugere um possível mecanismo carpete para ação do peptídeo sobre a membrana fosfolipídica de bactérias.
Antimicrobial peptides are important components of defense system in various organizations against possible invaders. They are generally small (100 aminoacids), cationic and amphipathic. They have stimulated the interest of the scientific community for its ability to act against microbes that cannot develop resistance to these peptides. That is, they emerge as complement and/or alternative to the use of conventional antibiotics. This study developed a computational model of a hybrid peptide pediocin A (Nterminal) and plantaricin 149a (C-terminal), two bactericidal peptides. Experimental data obtained by the group of prof. Dr. Rosângela Itri (IFUSP) were used for modeling and compare the results. MD simulations were made of the peptide interacting with pure and mixed POPC and POPG membranes. These simulations were performed using the parameters of the force field GROMOS 53A6 and 54A7. Simulations with a single copy of the peptide revealed that the force field 54A7 was the most appropriate for modeling these systems. The secondary structure maps showed that the peptide acquires a more ordered configuration when interacting with membranes with higher amounts of POPG in its composition. The simulations with two copies of the peptide suggest that the peptide interacts and penetrates the POPG layer via the C-terminal part. In the simulation with POPC membrane, none of the end portions remained stable within the membrane. The effect of increasing the peptide concentration of was examined by placing five and ten copies of the peptide to interact with the membranes. In the POPC membrane, the peptides do not form a single cluster and they cause little disturbance in the bilayer. In the POPG membrane, the interaction of peptides cluster is enhanced, causing large deformation and practically destroying the lipid bilayer. This phenomenon suggests a possible carpet mechanism of action of the peptide on the phospholipid membrane of bacteria.

New approaches to oral literature in teaching bring to the fore the questions of classification and terminology, the phenomenon of authorship, the process of composing and tradition, the complexity of reception, the specificities of oral genres and their poetics. The terms ’oral formula’ and ’formulativity’ also stand out in these approaches as some of the most important elements of oral poetic grammar. In all of these researches focused on poetics, the identitary character of Serbian oral literature as “our classic, one and true” (Vasko Popa) should not be neglected, nor its specific roles in teaching and education: aesthetic, ethical, epistemological, cultural, educational functions.

Two bronze ‘mother-goddess’ figures were found last year near Wealaung, Central Myanmar. While typical of the late first millennium BCE to early CE Bronze-Iron culture of Halin and the Samon valley south of Mandalay, Wealaung and nearby sites like Inde, Songon and Sardwingyi are located to the west, in the Mt. Popa watershed. În prezentul articol sunt cercetate modalitățile de reprezentare estetică a feminității în textele poetice ale lui Emilian Galaicu-Păun, Nicolae Popa, Irina Nechit, Maria Pilchin, Maria Șleahtițchi, Radmila Popovici, Rodica Gotca, Veronica Ștefăneț, Moni Stănilă. În poezia supusă analizei, femeia este surprinsă în câteva ipostaze fundamentale: ca ființă spirituală, receptivă la suflul lumii, în conexiune cu universul și cu ființa divină, ca alcătuire trupească, în raport cu celălalt – în ipostază erotică, maternă, în cadrul familial și în context social. Se propune o abordare comparativă a unor secvențe poetice, acordând atenție trăsăturilor prin care personajele feminine se individualizează de la autor la autor, dar și punctele în care converg percepțiile asupra feminității.

In this work we present the results of implementing a new educational system type simulator in a sensitive area, where the practice is quite difficult to realize- neonatology. Neonatology is the latest branch of medicine, drawn from pediatrics that deals with newborn care. High-fidelity simulation is an effective tool in teaching neonatal resuscitation skills to professionals. In this paper we present our experience in medical examining staff using a high fidelity simulator. For the first time in Romania, at the beginning of 2016 a team of medical bioengineering together with teachers from discipline Neonatology at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Grigore T. Popa" Iasi, introduces a new practical test within examination for obtaining the title of specialist in neonatology - practical test on the simulator.
