Abstract:
This paper describes the effect of a mixture of rapeseed methyl ester and diesel oil on emission production of tractor engine. The hydraulic dynamometer was used to load the engine of Zetor Forterra 8641 tractor over rear power take-off. The measured tractor is almost new with less than 100 h worked. The measurements were realized for several ratios of diesel oil and rapeseed methyl ester (from pure diesel to pure rapeseed methyl ester). The engine was loaded by the dynamometer in several working points which were predefined by engine speed and its torque. The production of carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrocarbons (HC), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM) were measured in each of these points. The comparison of different fuels was performed using the Non-Road Steady Cycle (NRSC) test procedure. Engine maps were also created for each emission component and for all of tested fuels.

Abstract:
Globalization—and the manner in which it has been governed during the last decade—has harmed various public policy infrastructures of developing nations, but especially those in health, social, and environmental sectors. The poorest population suffers the most severe consequences, as production takes place in the “informal” economy and in homes. Work safety and health in the informal economy has not gained the attention it warrants and requires, considering that this “sector” constitutes the majority of the world's labor force. The purpose of this article is twofold: (i) to describe the working environment in home-based shoemaking—based on Indonesian and Philippines experience by Markkanen [1]; and (ii) to examine the research framework proposed by Levenstein and Tuminaro in The Political Economy of Occupational Disease [2] and further developed in Wooding and Levenstein, The Point of Production, 1999 [3]. The field investigation by Markkanen employed this approach to explore how hazardous working conditions and inadequate health protection are the product of complex, converging relationships among diverse “actors” or agents at international, national, community, and shoe industry levels.

Abstract:
Current milk production includes a large diversity between systems, which generates difficulties in defining a microbiological standard. The adapted practical and hygienic-sanitary management methods are diverse and introduce great complexity into the production systems. Based on this scenario, the objective of this study was to evaluate the types of dairy production systems of western Parana and to quantify Staphylococcus sp in three critical points in the dairy cattle production systems: the milking machines, milkers’ hands, the cooling tanks and raw milk. A total of 35 samples of refrigerated raw milk were collected, and a questionnaire referring to hygienic and sanitary management was administered. All of the data were collected during the period from September to October 2012 and involved 35 properties in the municipality of Marechal Cândido Rondon – PR. From these data, five groups were formed based on cluster analysis (CHA). The multiple correspondence analysis (MCA) presented in the first two dimensions, CP1 (81.43%) and CP2 (36.87%), showed the relevance of the variables used, which are sanitary and production management methods, and contamination and control of mastitis, respectively (CP1 and CP2). We found average contamination with 9.9 x 101 CFU/cm2, 2.2x104 CFU/cm2, 28 CFU/ cm2 and 3.8x103 CFU/mL; for milking machines, milkers’ hands, cooling tanks and milk, respectively. The results reveal the presence of staphylococcal agent in dairy production systems regardless of the adopted hygiene and health management protocols. The guidance, planning and adaptation of hygiene and health management systems can significantly improve the microbiological quality of the milk produced, both qualitatively and quantitatively

Abstract:
The production and consumption of food occupy a major share of the general concern brought about by the world crisis. The growth of both elements continues nevertheless in keeping with the same capital-intensive and labour-saving standards of the previous expansionary phase. But the new context of world inflation, instability and recession imposes a burden with regard to the reproduction costs of food Systems in all of the OECD countries. Indeed, three trends are evolving simultaneously : the increase in the price of land; the instability of domestic price Systems; and, the new influence of international markets.

Abstract:
Ribosome biogenesis in eucaryotic cells involves the coordinated synthesis of four rRNA species, transcribed by RNA polymerase I (18S, 28S, 5.8S) and RNA polymerase III (5S), and approximately 80 ribosomal proteins translated from mRNAs synthesized by RNA polymerase II. Assembly of the ribosomal subunits in the nucleolus, the site of 45S rRNA precursor gene transcription, requires the movement of 5S rRNA and ribosomal proteins from the nucleoplasm and cytoplasm, respectively, to this structure. To integrate these events and ensure the balanced production of individual ribosomal components, different strategies have been developed by eucaryotic organisms in response to a variety of physiological changes. This review presents an overview of the mechanisms modulating the production of ribosomal precursor molecules and the rate of ribosome biogenesis in various biological systems.Key words: rRNA, ribosomal proteins, nucleolus, ribosome.

Abstract:
AbstractThis article discusses the results of my diachronic analysis of lithic artifacts collected around Ceibal, Guatemala, in order to elucidate one aspect of long-term changing patterns in the pre-Columbian Maya economic systems and warfare. The importation of large polyhedral obsidian cores and local production of prismatic blades began as the result of sociopolitical development in Ceibal during the early Middle Preclassic Real-Xe phase. El Chayal obsidian was heavily used during the early Middle Preclassic period, while San Martín Jilotepeque was the principal source in the late Middle Preclassic, Late Preclassic, and Terminal Preclassic periods, and El Chayal once more became the major source in Ceibal during the Classic period. There is increasing evidence of the production and use of chert and obsidian points in the central part of Ceibal during the Late and Terminal Classic periods, indicating elites' direct involvement in warfare. Although the spear or dart points were predominant weapons in Classic Maya warfare, the increase in both chert small unifacial points and obsidian prismatic blade points in Ceibal points to bow-and-arrow technology by the Terminal Classic period.

Abstract:
There are few authors focused on the study of preparing manuals criteria, often criticized for methodological rigor of the information. However, it is interesting to understand what is going wrong; to understand prognosis in self-handling; in prevention of complications; in identifying better services and information; in encouraging the pursuit of excellence in the healthcare. In its preparation should be valued the basic requirements of a manual, which are: 1) wrote in simple words, being concise, efficient, clear with index or table of contents; 2) using the existing institutional rules; 3) being flexible; and 4) having ongoing process of review, update and distribution. In the process of evaluation of Medicine III manuals may have the following stratification: M4 - 100 points: when there is ISBN registration and disclosure in other languages; M3 - 75 points: registration with the ISBN only in our country; M2 - 50 points: registered in regional libraries; M1 - 25 points: manual use for inter-departmental or intra-institutional groups; M0 - 0 point: use of manual in intra-departmental teaching. In conclusion, it is known that the use of manuals is focused to the ones who do not know the subject; however, it is also an important tool that can minimize errors, avoid professional misconduct, optimize resources, and at the end allowing assessment of the subject at hand.

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of udder and legs formation on longevity traits (average lactation at culling, lifelong production) and milk production (maximum amount of milk per lactation, fat content in % and kg, protein content in % and kg) in Czech Fleckvieh, Montbeliarde and their crossbreds. Total 2725 culled Czech Fleckvieh, Montbeliarde cows, and their crossbreeds from two farms were put into dataset. Statistical analysis was performed by SAS 9.3 program. The model equation contained effect of breed, housing, legs formation, and udder formation. The groups for legs (<74.61 points, 74.61 – 81.90 points, >81.90 points) and udder (<76.94 points, 76.94 – 81.75 points, >81.75 points) formation were created according arithmetic means and standard deviation. The best results for longevity were in legs formation parameters achieved in group <74.61 points. On the other hand, the best results for milk yield parameters were in legs formation achieved in group >81.90 points. In evaluation udder formation groups were the best and significant (P < 0.05 – 0.01) results for longevity and milk production achieved in group >81.75 points. Only parameters fat and protein percentages were better in group <76.94 points according udder formation. Generally, we can conclude that udder formation was more important than legs formation. From the results we can also conclude that cows with correct exterior do achieve higher longevity and milk production. This confirmed the importance of choosing cows for breeding purposes not only with high potential for milk production, but also for correct exterior parameters and formation.

Abstract:
Three key points are discussed to manufacture 300Mpa cylinder block castings. The first one is the design of grey iron chemical composition. The chemical composition used for production is as follows: C: 3.20-3.30%, Si: 1.60-1.80%, Mn: 0.70-1.00%, S: <0.10%, P: <0.06%, Cu: 0.70-0.80%, Cr: 0.25-0.35%, Ni: 0.30-0.40%, Sn: 0.06-0.08%. The stream inoculation is adopted. Another key point is to increase the chilling effect of molding material. A kind of ceramic sand is used in the experiment. The ceramic sand is mainly composed of electric fusion bauxite. The material gives much stronger chilling effect. The tensile strength can be 20 MPa higher compared with ordinary silica sand. The third key point is to use the technology of synthetic cast iron. The 300 MPa cylinder block is successfully developed.

Abstract:
Introduction. New food safety management systems (FSMS) can contribute to safe production of high quality products that meet the current legal and regulatory standards. The research objective was to develop requirements for a new FSMS, which would make it possible to produce quality pasta made from whole-grain flour and vegetable powders. Study objects and methods. The research featured a whole-grain pasta factory, a technological process of vegetable pasta production, and various elements of FSMS. Results and discussion. The article introduces product description and process flow chart for successful development, implementation, and maintenance of a new FSMS of pasta production. It describes potential physical, chemical, and biological hazards, as well as critical processes. The hazard analysis included probability level and severity of consequences. The study revealed the related unacceptable risks and critical control points, as well as their critical limits. Six critical control points were identified at the stages of kneading, pressing, drying, and stabilization. The paper contains a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan with a full description of the controlled parameters, their critical limits, monitoring systems, and corrective actions. Conclusion. The new HACCP-based safety management system reduces the response time and increases the responsibility of personnel. It reduces possible losses in case of failures or returns as it improves the product quality. The developed FSMS gives new market options and increases the loyalty of consumers and business partners. As a result, the company becomes more efficient in achieving its goals.

Through an examination of Andy Warhol's use of food imagery, this article considers the artist's representational strategies during the 1960s. In particular, it discusses Warhol's Campbell's soup paintings of ca.1961 –– ′′62 and his 1968 television advertisement for the Schrafft's chain of diners as two points on a spectrum of representation, revealing his shifting approaches to the art object. By exploring the commercial interests that drove each project, the different media in which they were completed, and the artist's public statements about each work, this article traces Warhol's early indebtedness to the romanticized notion of the personally inflected artwork to his later promotion of an art of pure surface.

Abstract:
Student attendance is both a critical input and intermediate output of the education production function. However, the malleable classroom-level determinants of student attendance are poorly understood. We estimate the causal effect of class size, class composition, and observable teacher qualifications on student attendance by leveraging the random classroom assignments made by Tennessee’s Student/Teacher Achievement Ratio (STAR) Project class size experiment. A 10-student increase in class size increases the probability of being chronically absent by about 3 percentage points (21%). For Black students, random assignment to a Black teacher reduces the probability of chronic absence by 3.1 percentage points (26%). However, naive mediation analyses suggest that attendance is not a mechanism through which class size and same-race teachers improve student achievement.

Salmonella enterica serovar Enteritidis is the main etiologic agent of zoonotic salmonellosis, having spread country wide in Russia. The work covers the main factors for salmonellosis spread. The breeding companies that contribute to the development of local bacteria population at poultry plants are of a paramount importance in terms of maintaining limited heterogeneity of S. Enteritidis and spread of salmonellosis. Migrations of the causative agent and new technologies for eggs and poultry production are additional points for salmonellosis spread.

Abstract:
We studied superoxide (O2-) production in neutrophils from 78 normal pregnant women at 7 to 39 weeks' gestation to determine whether there is a critical gestational age in O2- production activity of maternal neutrophils. The O2- production was measured by determining the rate of superoxide dismutase-inhibitable reduction of ferricytochrome c at 550 to 540 nm. A scattergram of neutrophil O2- production value versus gestational age was analyzed using the least median of squares regression, leading to a statistical stratification in which the median values of O2- production for outlying and nonoutlying points were 6.60 nmol/10(6) cells and 2.72 nmol/10(6) cells, respectively. All of the outlying points were concentrated at 19 to 22 gestational weeks. There was the significant difference in FMLP-induced O2- production in neutrophils of nonpregnant subjects when incubated with the sera from 10 cases (selected among 60 cases with nonoutlying points) (3.86 +/- 0.77 nmol/10(6) cells) compared with 5 cases with outlying points (5.62 +/- 1.19 nmol/10(6) cells) (P < .05) These results suggest that during the normal course of pregnancy, the production of O2- from the function of circulating neutrophils can be dissociated from such neutrophil functions as adherence, chemotaxis, and phagocytosis.

Abstract:
Introduction: Breastfeeding is the adaptation process experienced by postpartum mothers. If she has assisted carlier in breastfeeding, the mothers will succeed to continue breastfeeding. In reality milk ejection very little on the fi rst daysafter birth is a constraint in early breastfeeding. Acupressure points for lactation can increase milk production, help maximize prolactin and oxytocin receptors and minimize the side effects of delaying in the breastfeeding process. The objective of this study was to prove the difference effect of Acupressure Points for lactation and oxytocin massage to increase milk production and comfort on postpartum mothers. Method: This study used a quasy-experiment design with pre-post test design with control group. The sample of this study was recruited using consecutive sampling, consist of 27 mother postpartum primiparous, divided into 3 groups. Comfort was measured with GCQ, and milk production measured with Weighing Test. Data measured before and after the intervention, and analyzed by ANOVA with α = 0.05.Results: The results showed there was a signifi cant difference in comfort between the Acupressure Points for Lactation, oxytocin massage and control group (p = 0.035). and there was a a signifi cant difference in milk production between the Acupressure Points for Lactation, oxytocin massage and Control group (p = 0013). Analysis and Discussion: Conclusion, Acupressure Points for Lactation effective to increase comfort and milk production in postpartum mothers in Kediri District Hospital. This technique should be used as an alternative intervention in treatment of postpartum mothers. Nurses need to teach these techniques to postpartum mothers to be more independent in reduxing the problem of lactation. Keywords: acupressure points for lactation, comfort, Milk Production

Abstract:
SYNOPSISThis study examines perspective construction in an autistic patient (E.C.) with quasi-normal intelligence who exhibits exceptional ability when performing three-dimensional drawings of inanimate objects. Examination of E.C.'s spontaneous graphic productions showed that although his drawings approximate the ‘linear perspective’ system, the subject does not use vanishing points in his productions. Nevertheless, a formal computational analysis of E.C.'s accuracy in an experimental task showed that he was able to draw objects rotated in three-dimensional space more accurately than over-trained controls. This accuracy was not modified by suppressing graphic cues that permitted the construction of a vanishing point. E.C. was also able to detect a perspective incongruency between an object and a landscape at a level superior to that of control subjects. Since E.C. does not construct vanishing points in his drawings, it is proposed that his production of a precise realistic perspective is reached without the use of explicit or implicit perspective rules. ‘Special abilities’ in perspective are examined in relation to existing theoretical models of the cognitive deficit in autism and are compared to other special abilities in autism.

Abstract:
Accurate ground control is required to georeferenced airborne and spaceborne images. The production of ortho-photogrammetric data requires ground control that is traditionally provided as Ground Control Points (GCPs) by GNSS measurements in the field. However, it can be difficult to acquire accurate ground control points due to required turn-around time, high costs or impossible access. CompassData, Inc. a specialist in ground control, has expanded its service to deliver Remotely Sensed Ground Control Points (RSGCPs®). TerraSAR-X and TanDEM-X are two satellites with such high accuracy of their orbital positions and SAR data that RSGCPs® can be produced to a sub-meter quality depending on certain parameters and circumstances. The technology and required parameters are discussed in this paper as well as the resulting accuracies.

Abstract:
We provide a perspective on steepness, reference points for fishery management, and stock assessment. We first review published data and give new results showing that key reference points are fixed when steepness and other life history parameters are fixed in stock assessments using a Beverton–Holt stock–recruitment relationship. We use both production and age-structured models to explore these patterns. For the production model, we derive explicit relationships for steepness and life history parameters and then for steepness and major reference points. For the age-structured model, we are required to generally use numerical computation, and so we provide an example that complements the analytical results of the production model. We discuss what it means to set steepness equal to 1 and how to construct a prior for steepness. Ways out of the difficult situation raised by fixing steepness and life history parameters include not fixing them, using a more complicated stock–recruitment relationship, and being more explicit about the information content of the data and what that means for policy makers. We discuss the strengths and limitations of each approach.

Abstract:
In previous studies we have found that the writing of words (typing) is made up of a highly structured time course. Words are written using a course of accelerations and decelerations at certain points within the words. These points correlate highly with the syllabic word structure and also with the morphological structure. At the beginning of these subword units we find significantly higher latencies than within units. We therefore assume that written word production starts with a frame of the whole word, certain subword frames (according to the syllabic and morphological structure) and subsequent filling of the frames with segmental information. So the segmental information is not completely available at the beginning of a word or syllable but is delivered during motor execution. In the present study we try to find out if there are also subsyllabic units that are produced in a frame and content mode. As a candidate for such a unit we choose polygraphemes (e.g. in engl.in “think”, in germanin “schon”). If they are produced in this way we expect an increased delay at their onset and an accelaration within the unit. The results suggest that because of their grapho-phonological structure some types of complex graphemes are produced in a frame and content mode.
