Abstract:
This work is aimed for proposing acceptable indexing of moving objects. With the enlargement of mobile computing it is needed to manage large sets of spatiotemporal data. We introduce the problem of spatiotemporal data and basic general approaches of indexing these data. Further, we show support of spatial data in Oracle. The movement is typically represented as trajectory in two dimensional space with temporal component in third dimension. The thesis contains experiments performed in database Oracle on artificially generate data.

Abstract:
This thesis deals with methods for the detection of people and tracking objects in video sequences. An application for detection and tracking of players in video recordings of sport activities, e.g. hockey or basketball matches, is proposed and implemented. The designed application uses the combination of histograms of oriented gradients and classification based on SVM (Support Vector Machines) for detecting players in the picture. Moreover, a particle filter is used for tracking detected players. The whole system was fully tested and the results are shown in the graphs and tables with verbal descriptions.

This master's thesis is devoted to the studies of possibilities, which can be used for representation of moving objects data and for querying such spatio-temporal data. It also shows results of the master's thesis created by Ing. Jaroslav Vališ, that should be used for the solution of this master's thesis. But based on the theoretical grounds defined at the beginning of this work was designed and implemented new database extension for saving and querying spatio-temporal data. Special usage of this extension is demonstrated in an example application. This application uses the database extension for the implementation of its own database functions that are domain specific. At the conclusion, there are presented ways of the farther development of this database extension and the results of this master's thesis are there set into the context of the following project, doctoral thesis "Moving objects database".

Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to estimate parameters of the moving target using different radar configurations. First the Doppler effect and the time delay of the received signal is examined. The investigation of these phenomenons is made for radial and non-radial movement of simple monostatic radar configuration and after that for the bistatic and multistatic MIMO configuration. The ambiguity function is presented for all these configurations. The ambiguity function is then used to estimate target parameters from the received signal. The received signal model and ambiguity function for the monostatic radar configuration is developed using Matlab software. Finally the practical use of these implementations is presented and compared.

Abstract:
Motion segmentation is an important process for separating moving objects from the background. Common methods usually assume fixed camera, other approaches exist as well, but they are usually very computational intensive. This work presents an approach for scene segmentation to regions with coherent motion, which works faster than similar methods and it is capable of online processing with no prior knowledge of objects or camera. The main assumption is that the points belonging to a single objects are moving together and this applies as well in the opposite direction. The proposed method is based on tracking of feature points and searching for groups with similar motion by using RANSAC-based algorithm. Short-range repair of broken tracks is applied to increase the overall robustness of tracking. Found clusters are subsequently processed to represent separate moving objects.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the detection of moving objects in a video recording using neural networks. The aim of the thesis was to detect road users in video recordings. Pre-trained YOLOv5 object detection model was used for a practical part of the thesis. As part of the solution, an own dataset of traffic road video recordings was created and annotated with following classes: a car, a bus, a van, a motorcycle, a truck and a trailer truck. Final version of this dataset comprise 5404 frames and 6467 annotated objects in total. After training, the YOLOv5 model achieved 0.995 mAP, 0.995 precision and 0.986 recall on the dataset. All steps leading to the final form of the dataset are described in the conclusion chapter.

This master’s thesis deals with the implementation of functional solution for classifying road users using mobile device with Android operating system. The goal is to create Android application which classifies vehicles in real time using rear-facing camera and saves timestamps of classification. Testing is performed mostly with own, diversely modificated dataset. Five models are trained and their performance is measured in dependence on hardware. The best classification performance is from pretrained MobileNet model where transfer learning with 6 classes of own dataset is used – 62,33 %. The results are summarized and a method for faster and more accurate traffic analysis is proposed.

Abstract:
This thesis deals with knowledge discovery in spatio-temporal data, which is currently a rapidly evolving area of research in information technology. First, it describes the general principles of knowledge discovery, then, after a brief introduction to mining in the temporal and spatial data, it focuses on the overview and description of existing methods for mining in spatio-temporal data. It focuses, in particular, on moving objects data in the form of trajectories with an emphasis on the methods for trajectory outlier detection. The next part of the thesis deals with the process of implementation of the trajectory outlier detection algorithm called TOP-EYE. In order to testing, validation and possibility of using this algorithm is designed and implemented an application for trajectory outlier detection. The algorithm is experimentally evaluated on two different data sets.

Abstract:
In real world environments, animals need to organize their behavior relative to other moving animals or objects; when hunting a predator, when migrating in groups or during various social interactions. In all of these situations, the animal needs to orient relative to another moving animal/object. To understand the role of the hippocampus in this ability we adopted a two-step approach. We developed a task that would mimic important elements of this behavior in the laboratory. The task required the rats to assess not only their distance from the moving object but also their position relative to the object. We further studied how neurons in the hippocampal CA1 subfield encode the subject, the moving object and the environment in the behavioral paradigm and how do these representations interact among themselves. In rats, we aimed to characterize spatial behaviors relative to moving objects and to explore the cognitive mechanisms controlling these behaviors. Three groups of animals were trained to avoid a mild foot-shock delivered in one of three positions: either in front, on the left side, or the right side of a moving robot. Using different variations of the task, we also probed whether avoidance was simply due to increased noise level or size of the retinal image or appearance of the robot. As the...
