Abstract:
This paper aims at analysing the rise of innovative and experimental poetics within the American poetic grounds and the factors that remain extremely influential in establishing an alternate poetic culture that emerged with the rise of modernism within poetic circles. With influential and significant American poetic voices like Ezra Pound, T.S. Eliot and innovative women poets like Gertrude Stein popularising the use of ‘experimental’ techniques within the processes of poetic construction, the American poetic culture witnessed the rapid growth of an alternate realm of poetic activity that particularly gained significant recognition in the post-war era. This paper attempts to present an overview of the various post-war poetic groupings that contributed to the establishment of an experimental tradition within contemporary American poetics.

Abstract:
As one of the most representative modern poets in China, Dai Wangshu not only contributs a lot to the development of the modern Chinese poetry, but also plays an important role in introducing western poetics to China. Dai’s translation of western poetry has a profound influence on his poetic creation. Dai, throughout his poetic career, was at first influenced by the French romanticism, then was fascinated by the French symbolism and post-symbolism. The years of Disaster, a collection of poems in his later years, however, demonstrates an inclination to the Spanish modernist poetry, especially to the poems of Federico García Lorca, one of the most representative poets of the Generation of 27. This paper focuses on analyzing the characteristics of the works of these two poets, Dai Wangshu and Lorca, and is intended to make a comparative study of the affinities and similarities in their poetic beliefs and practice and the Lorca’s deep influences on Dai’s poetic creation, thus filling the blank in this field.

Abstract:
Art Forms in Poetics: On the Relationship between Poetry and Poetics in Niels Lyngsø’s MORFEUS:In Denmark, the genre of poetics has to a high degree developed into poets’ own reflections on their literary work and working process. This turn has resulted in a textual hybridity, restlessly oscillating between essayistic-theoretical orientation and poetic discourse. It has been pointed out that scholars have generally failed to pay attention to the artistic elements of such poetological writings. This is where this article takes its point of departure, probing Danish poet Niels Lyngsø’s abundant, complex and ambitious bastard piece MORFEUS from 2004 – a blend of visual poetry, sonnets, associative lists, essays on literature and the arts and many other forms. Inserted in a slipcase, the large quadratic, unpaged sheets, fastened with metal rings, seem extremely tactile; the reader becomes a percipient, a sensing body. As the poetry and the poetics are inseparably wrapped in each other, the poetic, sensuous perception mode is encouraged to be transferred to the ordinarily content-orientated reading of theoretical reflections. The point is now that this transfer turns out to be fruitful: the poetic function is at times strikingly operative. Passages where this is the case are analysed profoundly and the implications and perspectives of this fusion of poetry and poetics are unfolded.

Abstract:
Abstract The paper starts with reflections on Plato’s critique of the poets and the preference many express for Aristotle’s view of poetry. The second part of the paper takes a case study of analytic treatments of ancient philosophy, including the ancient philosopher poets, to examine the poetics of analytic philosophy, diagnosing a preference in Analytic philosophy for a clean non-poetic style of presentation, and then develops this in considering how well historians of philosophy in the Analytic tradition can accommodate the contributions of philosophers who wrote in verse. The final part of the paper reviews the current enthusiasm for decoding Empedocles’ vague and poetic descriptions of the cosmic cycle into a precise scientific periodicity on the basis of the recently discovered Byzantine scholia on Aristotle. I argue that this enthusiasm speaks to a desire for definite and clear numerical values in place of poetic motifs of give and take, and that this mathematical and scientific poetic is comparable to the preferred poetic of analytic philosophy.

Abstract:
This paper inquire the configuration of an area of communist poetics in the framework of the magazine Cuadernos de Cultura in the 1950s. It is argued that the literary program defined from Cuadernos gave a prominent place to the diffusion and promotion of the poetic genre, from the assiduous publication of reviews, notes, critical commentaries and poems, that influenced the conformation of a specific field of “communist poetics”, identified, according to the Soviet programs that the magazine adopts, for its realism and national character. This field gets together a broad group of poets who come from the metropolitan center and the interior of the country. In this direction, the politic “poetic” that the magazine put into play resulted in a reconfiguration of the central and peripheral spaces of the communist left’s sector of the poetic field.

Abstract:
The paper deals with the poetic features of Zaim Azemović (1935 - 2015) i Faiz Softić (1958), the contemporary Sandžak poets, writers, publicists, essayists, critiques and researchers of folklore who have given the original poetic discourse to Sandzak-Bosniak and the entire Bosniak literature with their works, whereby enriching these literary traditions with new thematic-motive material and peculiar language expression. Zaim and Faiz shaped their artistic worlds with classic methodological acts, but also with modernistic literary and artistic techniques. Using the interpretative approach, in this paper we comparatively observe their most significant poetic accomplishments, basing the research on the hypothesis that identity mark significantly influenced the poetics of these two notable Sandžak poets. The richness and diversity of the opus of these two Sandžak and Bosniak poets, visible influences they left and are leaving on the contemporary literary messengers, and the esthetic qualities of their creativity, are the main incentive for choosing the authors and the corpus of works that are the subject of our research.

Abstract:
This essay explores how working-class lives are represented in the poetry of three American women poets, Jan Beatty, Sandra Cisneros, and Wanda Coleman. It discusses how the poets’ working-class backgrounds affect their poetics and their perceptions of poetic craft. Through analysis, I show how their poetry shares a sense of defiant resistance, communicated through imagery of violence, labor, and sexual pleasure, responding to societal and institutional limitations placed on working-class women and working-class women writers.

Abstract:
Mina Loy and Diane di Prima’s experimental poetic contributions to their early “situational avant-gardes” (the 1910s Modernists and late 1950s Beats in New York) vindicated the relation of gender and experiment within their countercultural movements, redefining these groups’ poetic and ideological tenets. Firstly, I will connect and contextualize these two poets as part of American feminist avant-garde tradition. Then, I will study their early poetry’s specificities and their common particularity: a gendered approach to the interconnectivity between experiment and experience. The article develops the idea that Loy and di Prima’s “motional” poetics of alternate forces of expression and linguistic experimentation is a dynamic materialization of the ambivalence involved in their bodily and spatial experiences of inclusion and exclusion as bohemian women poets in their urban environment and their artistic communities. The last section theorizes the way these embodied positionalities, and the continuum formed by environment, space, body and language, interrelate with Loy and di Prima’s feminist motional avant-garde poetics based on material feminist philosophies and postmodern and experimental literary critics’ views.

Abstract:

New approaches to oral literature in teaching bring to the fore the questions of classification and terminology, the phenomenon of authorship, the process of composing and tradition, the complexity of reception, the specificities of oral genres and their poetics. The terms ’oral formula’ and ’formulativity’ also stand out in these approaches as some of the most important elements of oral poetic grammar. In all of these researches focused on poetics, the identitary character of Serbian oral literature as “our classic, one and true” (Vasko Popa) should not be neglected, nor its specific roles in teaching and education: aesthetic, ethical, epistemological, cultural, educational functions.

Abstract:
Abstract: Le Corbusier developed his own unique poetics of architecture, perceived and understood as an art. In La Ronchamp, due to his complete creative freedom, he found a space to express his most poetic and artistic views. The research paper thus analysis the Chapel as a case study, in order to clarify Corbusier’s artistic and architectural vision, ideals and driving principles: drawing firstly from the architectural characteristics that define the space, secondly defining an integrated set of principles that conceptualize the architecture as an art, and lastly, an analysis of the particularities that compose the chapel as a ‘total work of art’, analyzing the union of the arts, both in concept, form and meaning, and in the overall context of Corbusier’s unqiue theory. Thus, the research paper aims to understand and uncover how the poetics and emotional condition lives through Ronchamp: the meaning it encases, the artistic values is sustains and the timeless ways it recreates. The overall study has both practical and theoretical applications and implications for architects and artists with an interest in the integration of art and architecture, as well as the conceptual connections between the arts; a vital issue in the contemporary world for the definition of a more meaningful and sustainable environment. Nascimento, Suely. "Marlene's house." In LINK 2021. Tuwhera Open Access, 2021. http://dx.doi.org/10.24135/link2021.v2i1.106.

Full text
Abstract:
As an artist-researcher, I have been developing the research “Marlene's house” in the Doctorate in Arts, Graduate Program in Arts, Institute of Art Sciences, Federal University of Pará, since 2018. An extension of the research I produced in the Master's Degree in Arts, at the same institution of higher education, from 2016 to 2018. It is a poetics built from family and affective memory, in which photography, video, sound, writing, smell, taste, touch and feeling merge. And it is part of research line 1, on poetics and acting processes, dedicated to research in the arts, with a focus on poetics, on modes of acting, on the construction and presentation of an artistic work, accompanied by a reflective text. Thus, the research is being built with a memorial that houses the reflective text and a work, consisting of an installation with photography-video-sound-writing, records of my mother's house. Along the way, I talk to researcher Priscila Arantes, from São Paulo, who writes: “expanded field photography incorporates [...] the idea of dialogue, contamination and intersections of the field of photography with other fields of language and know." I also talk to the American Rosalind Krauss, who studies three-dimensional work and its expanded field. As a personal methodology, I mentally create a garden mixed with my memories of the garden of the house where I lived, where I develop the installation and the memorial. A meditation in which there is the action of artistic making. And it is in this garden that I experiment, read, research, edit photography-video-sound-written, reflect on my life path and what touches me throughout it, and write the research texts. During classes, in practical-reflective studies, I have been building my poetics, experimenting with installations in the classroom. One of them related to the kitchen of the house where I lived. I tried, in two subjects, the coffee experience with classmates. A performance I talk to Renato Cohen about, when he says that this creative act touches the tenuous boundaries that separate life and art. Each layer of the installation is perceived in the creative process of the artwork. And, based on what I perceive in my poetics, I develop conversations with the history of art, and I have conceived texts, which I named the artist's writings. With the letters, words, sentences and reflections, I write down what I thought/think about geometry, dimensions, space, the room in the house and sharing around a dining table. The poetic layers built in the creative path are countless and, in the installation, I present traces that are in me, in the garden, in the bedroom, in the kitchen and in the backyard where I lived a life in my mother's house.

One of the key poets of Slovak post-November poetry was shaped in the Komúna dissent group headed by philosopher and artist M. Strýko during the communist regime. Operating in dissent supported the radicality of his poetic gesture and lifestyle, the image of an active, evolving individual freed from the senselessness of civilization, and also the idea that it is possible to integrate evil into a higher good. These ideas also form branches to the sanjuanist motifs and intellectual solutions that are close to Groch. The article seeks these penetrating places with special attention on the symbol of the journey and pilgrimage, and at the same time points to Groch’s creative updates of one of the most famous spiritual teachings of the West.

Abstract:
This text comprises an excerpt of the Doctoral research completed in 2021, developed in the Line of Poetics and Processes of Performance in Arts (PPGARTES-UFPA), which will present a conceptual reflection about the creative process that unfolded poetically from the appropriation of an old family photo album. The album in question began to be observed as a place of overlapping time and space, triggering an internal movement of belonging by presenting itself as a place of poetic power due to the physical evidence that emerged from it. Through Augmented Reality, the empty spaces left by the time were occupied, following the tracks and telling another narrative through visual, textual, and sound layers, thus reconfiguring the album, which expanded and became a living space of memory activated by the cybrid experience. The way of facing the presence of absence and at the same time the absence of presence provoked me an inner movement of wanting more and more to belong to that space. There were countless times I approached this album and I was always worried about its gaps and emptiness in its narrative. And, by a sudden feeling of belonging to that space, I began to fill its “silence” and become part of that place. I have been calling this act the movement of self-fiction poetic. This concept is widely discussed in the book Essays on self-fiction, organized by Jovita Maria Gerheim and crossed my research, which I appropriated and used as an operative concept, thus comprising a movement that took place through the appropriation of an object, intervening in a poetic way, from which I became a character manifesting myself subjectively in the fictional narrative. Therefore, I articulated myself between the photographic language and other operational resources that mobile devices made possible, to recreate the space in mixtures with the past and the contemporary in a movement of mixing memories. The album presented itself as a space deconstructed by the action of time and subjects and through the poetic movement, I triggered a series of events, overlapping different times and spaces by inserting photographic files, video, text, and sound that activated this place as a living organism, revealing a new experience with memory. The reconfiguration process of this space was triggered exclusively by digital means. The idea of the movement of self-fiction poetic arose precisely because I brought photographic productions of my own in a mix with the photographs already present in the album. This intersection of authorship that unfolded in the presentation of another narrative, which includes me sometimes as a present character, sometimes as a hidden agent, allowed me to travel through the chain of memory and feel myself belonging to that space-time. By wanting to penetrate a past that was not mine, triggering subjective layers of information produced in the interstice of reality and fiction that photography allowed me, I was able to perceive the album beyond a memory space, but as a place of experience that opened and was available for interventions.

Abstract:
The purpose of the study is to determine the features of the structure and functioning of the fear motive in F.M. Dostoevsky’s “fantastic story” “The Dream of a Ridiculous Man” and in A. Petrov’s cartoon of the same name. The report first examines the images, details, etc., with which the fear motive is created in the story, and then analyzes the ways of embodying this motive and transmitting a certain frightening atmosphere in the cinema. There is revealed and determined the ontological significance and the main character of fear in the “The Dream of a Ridiculous Man”, which, in our opinion, manifests itself in the fundamental nature and primacy of this feeling in human nature. It can be observed in the transition from the dream world, not defiled by the fall, to the terrible reality of St. Petersburg, described in the story. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that a comprehensive analysis of the fear motive in the story of F. M. Dostoevsky and the peculiarities of the interpretation of this motive in the animated film by A. Petrov has not been carried out before. The study revealed, firstly, a number of repetitive means by which the fear motive is formed in both works (and their functions were determined), and secondly, there was noted the originality of the representation of the analyzed motive in the cinema.
