Abstract:
Due to their unique nature, construction projects are considered one of the world’s most hazardous and incident-prone industrial sectors. The present study aimed to analyze health, safety and environmental (HSE) risks relating to construction projects based on the project management body of knowledge (PMBOK) and sustainability approach. This study was conducted with the participation of 30 experts, using the semi-quantitative risk assessment technique, in nine areas of the project management’s body of knowledge, based on the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. Risk, in this study, was estimated using a two-dimensional matrix of incident probability and severity, each of which has four sub-parameters. The HSE risks pertaining to each of the nine areas of PMBOK were identified. After that, the two dimensions of risk, including incident probability and severity, were measured. Thirty-seven risk sources associated with nine areas of the PMBOK were identified. Risk analysis revealed that 20 sources were at an unacceptable risk level, and 17 risks were at a tolerable risk level. Identifying HSE-related risk sources in accordance with the nine areas of PMBOK, and using FAHP to assess the risk of these hazards in construction projects, can lead to a more realistic estimate of risk in construction projects. The presented method in the current study can create a novel perspective in terms of the construction industry’s risk management and assessment.

Many problems in software development projects are due to risks and could be avoided or minimized if identified and treated pro-actively. In this context, software tools to support risk management could be very helpful. However, it is difficult to find a project management tool, accessible to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) that provides adequate support to risk management in conformance with best practices such as the PMBOK. Therefore, this paper has the objective to review support provided by popular project management tools with respect to risk management and to present enhancements made to the open-source tool – dotProject – in order to systematically support risk management aligned with the PMBOK. An initial evaluation identified benefits in the implementation of risk management processes in software SMEs, and, thus, contributing to their projects' success.

Abstract:
Construction projects in nature, carry a lot of risks, and unpredictable conditions. Thus, flexible management is required for the purpose of efficient responding to the various changes appear during their implementation. As an attempt to deal with risk in the construction project, this research aims at proposing a risk management framework in construction projects that built based on Agile management concept, which is a sequence of procedure deals with the project’ primary vision to its final delivery. The risk management framework will trace alignment and discover a contact between Agile and traditional project management concepts and find contact points among two of the more used Agile frameworks (Scrum) and one of the more confirmed project management framework (PMBOK®) processes. This will result in a recognition of comparable areas between Scrum and PMBOK® processes. The goal of the framework is to assist the project managers to adapt a more flexible approach to managing and implementing the construction project. The results proved that Agile management process from the create prioritized project backlog, sprint planning, sprint review, to sprint retrospective procedures and less time of the cycle, eliminate or mitigate many risks that lead to project challenges and failure.

Abstract:
Projects of the agro-industrial complex are implemented in conditions of high uncertainty and risk. Agricultural products provide variety and quality of food to the population. To reduce production losses and the quality of crop and livestock products, and as a consequence of reducing the economic efficiency of production, it is necessary to take measures to prevent and reduce the risks of agro-industrial projects. Given that the risks associated with stakeholders can have devastating consequences for the project, anti-risk stakeholders of projects management is critical. In connection with the widespread use of international teams for project implementation, the author proposes to take into account when managing stakeholders of projects their mentality, which can be a cause of misunderstandings and conflicts. The author also emphasizes the importance of identifying and managing the expectations of project stakeholders. The article presents the principles of stakeholders of projects management and analyzes the stakeholders of projects management processes in international project management standards, in particular P2M, ICB IPMA, PMBoK PMI and ISO 21500. The author also provides principles of project risk management in accordance with international project management standards, in particular P2M, ICB IPMA, PMBoK PMI and ISO 21500. It was found that the identification and analysis of stakeholders is the basis for understanding what risks associated with each stakeholder may arise during the project. The author emphasizes that it is impossible to analyze the risks associated with them without conducting a detailed analysis of stakeholders. And developing a stakeholder risk response plan depends largely on the characteristics of each particular stakeholder and understanding which leverage can be effective in a given stakeholder. For more effective anti-risk stakeholders of agro-industrial projects management, which would take into account the specific risks of such projects, the author recommends to develop and use tools that would take into account the characteristics of stakeholders involved in agro-industrial projects.

Abstract:
This thesis presents a generic framework for project managers and/or other stakeholders to assist them in qualitatively assessing and evaluating project risks. The main structure of this framework is constructed based on risk management area in PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) standard. Additionally, different best practices and methods in the field of risk management and decision making are studied and embedded in the framework. In spite of being theoretical in nature, the framework can contribute to the project risk management area developed by PMBOK, opening the possibility of further research for its verification.

Abstract:
In today’s business climate, clear and marked risk management is often not particularlyprioritized, but is instead something companies see as an obstacle or nuisance. A companyoften bases its decision on (non-risk adjusted) expected return, which often leads to ignoranceof inherent risks if the expected return is high. To deal with the difficulties of not only basingdecisions on non-risk adjusted return, this paper will show how two different companies dealwith risk and how highly prioritized risk management is. The main conclusion is thatcompanies do not have a particularly systematic management of risks, which makes the topicever more interesting, given the general interest and importance of risk management. Oneinterpretation of this conclusion is that the industry and the organizational structure have alarge influence on which risk management method that is used.

Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is modification of the teaching block IS/ICT Project Management at the Department of Information Technologies of the Prague University of Economics by the risk management issues. At present, insufficient space is given to this topic and this may thus create the feeling with the students that this is a marginal issue in the project management. The theoretical starting points to this thesis are above all the PMBOK methodologies of the PMI organization and further the PRINCE2 of the OGD organization. As these are the internationally acknowledged IT project management standards, therefore the key significance is given to them as to the theoretical starting points. Naturally, the part of these methodologies related to the project management is utilized of them. To sketch in the point of view of the issue, the RIPRAN methodology is added that is of Czech origin and was developed by doc. Ing. Branislav Lacko of the Brno University of Technology. This methodology deals only with the risk management. The own new point of view of the risk management that comes out from the above-mentioned theoretical presumptions is divided into following parts: planning, identification, qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, project simulation, evaluation. As the primary utilization of this thesis is for the students of the Prague University of Economics, namely above all for the students of the given course, this fact is taken into account also in the course of work with the risks. This means, among others, that it is not possible to implement the project according to the plan, and thus simulation tools are utilized for its implementation. All aspects coming out from this school environment have been included in the thesis. A tool in MS EXCEL table editor has been developed for the work with the risks where all steps of the risk management are carried out, namely including the data for subsequent creation of the outputs -- reports, analyses, etc. An advantage of this environment is the possibility of its utilization for automatic procedures. Full use of this characteristic has been made in the tool.

The usage of Entrerprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in companies has become increasingly common. Its implementation, in turn, brings risk factors which require management. The aim of this study was to analyze the risk management practices adopted on an ERP implementation in a Brazilian subsidiary of a large industrial company, comparing them to the risk management model described in PMBOK PMI, investigating the reasons why such a model was adopted or not and the reasons, if applicable, in adopting practices not described in this model. The difficulties to manage project risk were examined, to identify and link its causes. A qualitative study was prepared based analysis of interviews and other documents like meeting minutes, emails, spreadsheets and communications. This research evidences there was the identification of project risks and the development of an action plan to eliminate or mitigate them, but its scope was limited by some problems of organizational, technical and behavioral nature existing in the company.

Abstract:
Although Colombia has more than 50 years of experience developing hydropower projects, the recent Hidroituango project crisis has opened the debate regarding risk management (RM) in generation power projects, especially for non-conventional renewable energy sources (NCRES) where there are no academic studies for Colombian case. This chapter develops a methodological proposal based on PMBOK, ISO standard, and Colombian technical standards, that will allow identification, assessment, and management of the risks inherent in small hydroelectric power plant (SHPP) projects. All this in the context of the opportunities generated by Law 1715 of 2014 and the mega global trend of transition from fossil sources of energy to NCRES. The methodology was built based on: a state of the art review, an expert's knowledge consultation, and a Delphi expert's assessment analysis. The result is a project risk management methodology that includes: holistic identification of risk variables in SHPP projects, assessment of experts and response to inherent and residual risks.

Abstract:
The Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) guide brings together best practices for project management and edited an extension called Construction Extension to the PMBOK® Guide. The medium-term planning level (MTL) is one of the hierarchical levels of the Last Planner System (LPS®) and involves the process of constraint analysis. The present work sought to analyze the contributions of the extension for the construction of the PMBOK® guide for the MTL with the objective of identifying important practices that support the realization of the MTL in the construction. The interactions and contributions of the twelve areas of knowledge of the extension of the PMBOK® guide in the construction with the MTL were pointed out. It was noted that the scope of the MTL permeates and interacts with the management of the twelve areas of knowledge defined by the extension of the PMBOK® Guide in construction. The MTL incorporates actions present in some areas of knowledge or receives input data from others to feed the MTL. The contributions of this paper were to add other categories of constraints to be managed in PMP and to highlight integrated change control and risk management in PMP.

Abstract:
The digital economy needs new indicators for emergent technologies, and to establish them, a risk analysis model is deployed as an Information System Meta research method. The role of the Utility Business Service Model (UBSM) in mitigating information technology and information systems (IT/IS) risks in the business activity: assisting to understand how the virtual enterprise paradigm is shifting established values across the IT/IS value chain. The technical infrastructure for e-commerce and ebusiness share similar risks. The PMBook (Project Management Institute) risk analysis model is used to understand the risks involved in the adoption of UBSM by potential customers. This preliminary model will be part of a virtuous cycle of learning and informing. The twofold purpose of the knowledge-base risk management framework is (1) to summarise and categorise initial research finds about the use of the UBSM, and (2) survey the pace of adoption and acceptance of the UBSM as a service provision business model, which includes the application services provision (ASP) business model.

Soares, Rani de Moraes, and Sandra Albino Ribeiro. "O CDE no ensino de BIM." In IV ENCONTRO NACIONAL SOBRE O ENSINO DE BIM. ANTAC, 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.46421/enebim.v4i00.1936.
