Full textFor about two decades now, the emergence of online Gabonese press stands nowadays as an alternative source of information to traditional media. In a media system where press freedom still faces numerous obstacles due to a fledgling democracy, Gabonese digital media once again raises the question of information pluralism. During electoral periods, the role of the press as an element of democracy highlighting the principle of conflicting opinions and the media representation of political differences is even more desired. And it is at this level that we question the relevance of native Gabonese web media in terms of the added value of their information during elections compared to what exists with the traditional press. Analyzing the conditions of information production by the Gabonese online press during a period as sensitive as the 2018 legislative elections in Gabon and determining the level of informational pluralism resulting from it is the main objective of our research work

Full textThis thesis aims to uncover the barriers to the free circulation of information in Lebanon, a country long considered an island of freedom in relation to its surroundings. In this context, sectarianism is considered the greatest and most dangerous obstacle, not only to the free flow of information, but equally to the building of a country in the true sense of the term. In addition to sectarianism, the obstacles for the free circulation of information in Lebanon are numerous. These include legislative texts that place many restrictions on freedom of expression on the press and audiovisual media, a jurisprudence that does not advance the concept of freedom of expression, a strong censorship from the state, and the self censorship of the press in an environment of violence. The geopolitics of Lebanon does not help either. On the one side, it is bordered by Israel, a country at war with Lebanon or in the best cases, in a state of ceasefire. On the other side, it is bordered by Syria, a country that has always considered Lebanon as one of its territories. Added to this is a bloody history of a small country that shortly after independence from the French mandate, falls into a civil war that destroyed its institutions and called into question the legitimacy its existence. It also called into question the possibility of a true coexistence between its eighteen religious sects. This war may be triggered again even twenty years after the Taif Agreement that was supposed to bring peace to the country

Full textThe process of democratization began in 1990 is facing severe political and institutional crises. The Ivorian press, through its excesses, has contributed to the exacerbation of social tensions and divisions btween people. The content analysis of five newspapers of general information during the period marked by reports of the elections (october 2005-october 2006) has revealed that the various editorial sensitivities are strongly influenced by partisan political speeches. The reconstruction of public space must be based on genuine democratic institutions, but also non media that are involved in the fight against corruption, violations of human rights, and abuses of all kinds. The challenge of the upcoming elections, postponed since 2005, should bring the media to adopt a new approach to information based on the ethics of the profession, but especially along the lines of "public journalism. Full textMany books studying the sources of the law and many books studying the Internet law have already been published. This thesis differs from these books : it studies the original sources, not only the state law and the customs; and it is a scientific work and not a practical work. Observations of the Internet law can serve thoughts on the currents and futures continuities and changes of the sources of the law. Studying this young and special law is like studying an example of global law and postmodern law, revealing the specifics of the law of tomorrow, when the modern law centered on the state will be replaced by a different law, whose properties gather those of the Internet. Gradually, the conventional sources are substituted by new sources. This thesis wants to be a witness of these changes in the sources of the law.In terms of legal science and legal thought, lawyers should perhaps avoid analyzing the law of tomorrow with tools and lessons from yesterday. Studying the Internet law invites to build new tools and frameworks in order to describe and explain as accurately as possible the reality of the law. These problems led to the writing of this book. By focusing on specific legal objects that reflect the twenty-first century law, it wants to promote the understanding and the acceptance of changes in the law. Specifically, the objective is to contribute to the renovation of the sources of the law thought when the modern theory appears increasingly archaic because the number, the identity, the architecture and the balance of the sources is permanently evolving
