This master thesis describes the design of heating in a new one-storey nursery school in Kuřim. The heating systém is designed as a low-temperature systém with a forced circulation of water and a horizontal piping. Three kinds of radiators are used in the design. The panel radiators, tube radiators and free-standing convectors. In this project there are two varinats of the heat source for buliding. The first variant is two gas condensing boilers and the second variant is two heat pumps of an air/water split design. The disign includes air heating in the unit of air conditioning and hot water preparation. The experimental part of the master thesis is focused on microbial microclimate in buildings and radiators contamination by microorganisms. It contains four different experiments, their realization, results and evaluation.

The aim of my dissertation work was to create an application for pocket PC with operating system Windows Mobile and touch screen, an application that would enable to position the current location of the pocket PC based on the GPS data, on distance measurement between two and more points of which the location is obtained from GPS, and on measurement of territory surface defined by certain number of points obtained from the GPS. The application also enables to display the characteristics of the received GPS signal, information about the number of visible satellites and also information about maximum deviation from positioning. In order to increase the accuracy of the positioning, an averaging function has been implemented. As additional function, a possibility of route location has been created. It measures the passed distance and records some other route characteristics. The application has been successfully tested on pocket PC E-ten M600+ and GPS receiver Navilock but it has been designed with general-purpose and should be compatible with all devices working with operating system Windows Mobile and touch screen. The text section of my dissertation work describes the positioning principle on the basis of satellites with known position, deals with the accuracy of these systems and describes few possibilities how to increase their accuracy. It also discusses the NMEA 0183 Protocol that is used by the majority of GPS modules for communication. The text section also describes several mathematic and cartographic calculations needed for realization of the application. In the end of the text section there is a detailed description of the created application.

The following diploma thesis is devoted to the desktop sharing description and its opportunities. Existing solutions and their advantages and disadvantages are described at the beginning of the text. The most extensive part deals with the design and the implementation of a new solution for the desktop sharing. The thesis aims at providing a possibility to observe desktop of one computer from another one. For achieving it, two appliactions (a server and a client) have been developed, and they are described in the text with utilization of UML (Unified Modeling Language) diagrams. The RFB (Remote Framebuffer) protocol has been chosen as the means for communication between the applications. A detailed description of this protocol is also included in the text. The developed solution is tested and compared with other similar applications in the final part of the work. After that, some areas needing slight improvements are named to achieve competitiveness of the developed solution with other applications of a similar type.

Theme of this diploma thesis is the design of ice resurfacer. It deals with design of a special automatic vehicle, which is able to execute the process of ice resurfacing, without human control. With regard to the protection of the environment and health of the people inside rink arena, the propulsion system is based on the electric motor, with batteries as a power source. Final design reflects innovation of the automatization in this area. The appearance supports the uniqueness and the timelessness of the ice resurfacer and it is build up on the principles of the streamline design, with emphasis on the purity of form.

The thesis deals with the microstrip filter design using defected ground structure (DGS). The difference between standard asymmetric microstrip technique and DGS is in using the structures etched in the microwave substrate ground plane. The DGS resonant characteristics are then used in filter design. The thesis consists of three factual parts. The first one (chapter 4) introduces the use of the DGS resonators in the lowpass filter design. It involves experimental analysis of one type of the lowpass filter. The second part (chapter 5) deals with a novel microstrip lowpass filter design method using DGS. The proposed method is verified by simulations and several samples are realized and measured. Finally, the third part (chapters 7 and 8) deals with the bandpass filter design using specific defected ground structure as a resonator. The resonators are used in a coupled resonator structure. Filters of various orders and resonator configurations are designed and simulated. A combination of the DGS resonators and half-wavelength microstrip resonators is introduced as well. Selected samples are realized and measurement results are compared with simulations.

This diploma thesis deals with the final quality of the surface under variable working conditions during milling. The first part deals with the definition of qualitative parameters describing surface properties. This is followed by a brief description of the cutting resistance measurements. The thesis is complemented by experimental verification using front milling and its evaluation. The aim of the experiment is to determine the dependence of the surface quality and the size of cutting resistors under the variable working conditions of the machine that do not make a common part of the manufacturing processes.

The application is intended to assist nurses, doctors and healthcare assistants to monitor and evaluate chronic wounds in the course of treatment. The application is based on the Typescript programming language, on the Ionic hybrid application framework and on the Electron desktop application framework. Chronic wound assessment runs on the server-side where the Python programming language is used. The Flask application framework is used for the RESTful application interface and the OpenCV library is used for image processing.

This thesis deals with the revitalization of public green spaces in the City of Prague Libuš. The aim was to propose appropriate solutions with regard to the close communications, a private school and a rehabilitation center and create a safe and recreational space that would improve living conditions for the inhabitants of the large housing estate settlement in Libuš. It was necessary to analyze the region in terms of natural conditions, broader relations and infrastructure before the proposal. The analysis of the current state was conducted, including the inventory of the trees and field survey. Furthermore, based on the questionnaire survey conducted, the locals, students and teachers from the private school nearby expressed their views on the given territory. It has been found, thanks to the method Time-Lapse Photography Study, which parts of the territory people frequently move in and that was also reflected in the design of the area. The evaluation of the main tendencies of current and future development of the territory and the mutual comparison of the strengths and weaknesses of the area with the potential opportunities and threats are made in the SWOT analysis. A proposal, that would increase the interest of the locals in the area, was created on the basis of the results of analyzes conducted. Since it is a very rundown area, there must be a significant reduction in the number of seeding trees, removing stumps and building rubble. The functionality of insulating greenery and the natural character of the area must be maintained simultaneously. There will be an overall increase in the attractiveness and safety of the territory thanks to the revitalization of greenery, building of road networks, the placement of furniture and other technical elements. The area would not deserve only to shorten the route, but it might be used for short-term recreation by the visitors.

The master’s thesis describes hardware opto-electronic instruments for contactless measurement of surfaces. It concentrates on instruments used for opto-electrical transformation of a taking scene and software processing of digital pictures. It presents selected methods of pre-processing, segmenting and following final modifications of these pictures. Then it deals with measuring of areas of surfaces and sizes of selected objects in these pictures and conversion of results from pixels to SI system of units. Possible divergences of measuring are described as well. A flow chart of a program for automatic and manual measuring of surfaces and sizes of objects in a picture, which is commented in detail, is a part of the thesis. The main product of this thesis is application Merovo, which provides measuring of an area and proportions of included objects. This application is analysed and described in detail in this thesis.

Aim of the thesis is to design and implement unique service based on the newest technologies in web apps fi eld which allows screen recording followed by P2P distribution between participating users using web browser only. Thesis deals with the analysis of modern and coming technologies which allow practical implementation of such a service. It involves obtaining access to the screen source data, its recording, transforming and transmission over the network followed by playing on the other side. Recorded videos are adapted for part by part use in a player with seeking capability. Distributed architecture for data exchange between peers using peer-to-peer connection based on hybrid P2P VoD network provides scalability of the solution. The player allows obtaining the necessary parts of the videos from the current watchers with smooth video playback experience during ongoing transmissions whilst allowing arbitrary video shifting. In consideration of early stages of development or experimental support for some of the APIs needed for this work, research into browsers' support with discussion on realistic applicability nowadays is always performed.

This thesis studies a possibility of using hollow fibres for construction of innovative heat exchangers. The first part introduces to the field of heat exchangers and polymers as materials suitable for formation of heat transfer surfaces. Further, the potential of hollow fibres of small diameters is outlined, including the merits, limits and proposals for improving. The significant part of the work is dedicated to the review of methods of fibres fixation and separation and review of fouling and cleaning of heat exchangers. Overviews of design possibilities which prevent fibres clustering have been made. The solutions, which are prepared for experimental research at Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow Laboratory are stated, including analysis of “curly” fibres application. The next part presents calculations for models of water – water and water – air heat exchangers and discusses influence of fibre diameter, flow velocity and the other parameters on heat characteristics. The heat transfer and fluid flow formulas using for heat exchangers of a bigger order can be employed with small changes. Furthermore, the influence of hollow fibres arrangement and distances on heat transfer is discussed.

Hydraulic characteristics are the most important properties of soil, i.e. retention curve of soil moisture and hydraulic conductivity. Hydraulic conductivity of soil characterizes the ability of the soil to conduct water. Retention curve expresses the relationship between moisture and moisture potential of soil. The running of retention curve is influenced by many factors, eg. grain size and mineralogical composition, content of humus, reduce bulk density and structure of soil. Measurement of retention curves takes a lot of time and money in laboratory conditions therefore pedotransfer functions seem to be an alternative solution. The thesis aims to estimate moisture retention curves of soil in a selected area of interest in South Moravia using program Rosetta (Schaap, 2003). Data of granularity (% content of clay, sand and dust), bulk density of soil and hydrolimits field water capacity and wilting point were used as predictors in individual models of program Rosetta. Data of grain were matched by FAO / USDA system. Retention curves of soil moisture were measured on a sand tank and overpressure devices. The measured retention curves were parameterized by RETC program. Estimated retention curves were graphically compared with measured to determine the quality of the estimate. The accuracy of the estimate was assessed by correlation coefficient R of determination coefficient R2 and standard error SMRE. Usability own derivatives pedotransfer functions is hard to say due to the size of the input data file. I would recommend further verification of data at the other localities in south Moravia.

On this purpose, many scientists are working on the modeling of grinding and its effects on a many points. The main aim of this work is to analyse of residual stresses influenced by grinding parameters.

Aim of this diploma thesis is calculating the carpet area/built-up area coefficient and make a proposal how to put this coefficient in place in building evaluation field. Also, assessment of error rate of this method is needed. More methods were suggested based on differently calculated coefficients. Comparison of different sources of public information about buildings was made and these were compared to actual state of the buildings. Research was made whether there is correlation between age of the building and tipical building´s characteristics in examined area. Studied area is called Kluky (part of Hradec Králové).

Buk lesní (Fagus sylvatica L.) je nejvýznamnější listnatou dřevinou České republiky. V minulých letech se jeho zastoupení velmi snížilo v důsledku nešetrné těžby, přírodních disturbancí a následně hlavně změnou lesního hospodaření, kdy se upřednostňovaly především jehličnaté dřeviny smrk ztepilý (Picea abies) a borovice lesní (Pinus sylvestris). Provenienční výzkum se, díky jejich preferování při pěstování, nejprve věnoval hlavně jehličnatým dřevinám, až v pozdější době se zaměřuje i na dřeviny listnaté. V současné době se naše lesní hospodářství k buku znovu vrací a jeho zastoupení se v našich lesích pomalu opět zvyšuje.
Úkolem diplomové práce je provedení terénního šetření na provenienční výzkumné ploše VÚLHM Strnady č. 82 Jíloviště, Baně ve věku 34 let (zjištění počtu rostoucích jedinců, tloušťkového a výškového růstu, tvárnosti kmene, větvení, úhlu větví, tloušťky větví), zjištěná a naměřená data statisticky zpracovat a vyhodnotit rozdíly mezi testovanými proveniencemi buku lesního.
V první části práce je zpracována literární rešerše, zaměřena na provenienční výzkum buku lesního, v další části jsou statisticky zpracovány kvantitativní a kvalitativní znaky zjišťované na výzkumné ploše. V poslední části jsou vyhodnocená data porovnávána s daty z minulých let.

The aim of the thesis is to determine the dynamics of heating and cooling and to determine the effect of these characteristics on energy consumption of the building. The project part deals with the design of a heating solution for a residential building in three variants. An Energetic simulation is made for the designed variants, that compares the consumption of thermal energy during one year. The next simulation research the dynamics of selected large-scale heating surfaces. For each construction, nonstationary models of heating up and cooling were made, which are compared in terms of the thermal inertia.

The result of this study can serve as a guide to the practical measurement method of dynamics characteristics of the real-working heating systems, or serve as a template for the settings according to the measured data.

The thesis presents the results of the research of the long term changes in semi-natural vegetation of lowland woodlands in the forest district Klínec (phytogeographical district Střední Povltaví, Central Bohemia, Czech Republic), which is located between the northeastern part of the Brdy Highlands (Hřebeny) and the Vltava River valley. Research of the long term changes over the past nearly 60 years was conducted by resampling vegetation on semi-permanent plots. Old relevés by V. Samek (1957), which were provided by the Czech National Phytosociological database, were used as reference data. Twenty-nine relevés were resampled, which were located using old data and GIS. The shift to shady plant communities (loss of heliophilous and expansion of shade-tolerant species) was found in the study area caused by higher canopy of tree and shrub layer due to the expansion of deciduous trees. Species richness (alpha diversity) was significantly declined. Homogenization of the vegetation was not significantly demonstrated in study area. Species of nutrient-rich habitats as well as alien and invasive species were expanded and fewer red list species of vascular plants was found. Vegetation change in the area was probably most affected by the change in forest management in lowland woodlands (decline of coppicing), eutrophication (deposition of nitrogen from the atmosphere, runoff from agricultural land) and the effect of forest animals especially wild boars.

It is well known that its presence has a great impact on the well-being of man. Despite the fact that water is really important in the Interior of human settlements, over the years, water has disappeared on many places from public spaces, due to the technical development and development of settlements. The development of human settlements and public spaces takes place constantly from the time they were established. In recent years, the viewpoint of their importance is significantly changing and lot of the seats are aware of their value. The public space is like a living room of the city, thus a representative place. That´s why, the reconstructions of public space are quite often in recent years with use of water elements. The phenomenon of water surfaces is a factor which affecting the sustainable development and quality of life. Public space is not only an important functional element in the big cities. It has a great importance for smaller municipalities too. And just on them the thesis is focused. Their public space is often neglected. As well as water features in the surrounding area, which are uncared-for or extinct. Water in the form of water courses or water bodies have a great potential, in which a lot of possibilities is hidden, with which you can work in the urbanized areas. The goal of this thesis is to find a new role for the watercourses and water areas to be integrated into public space and public space, thanks to this, become a representative and functional part of the village once again.

The work is focused on the development of water bodies in the area disturbed by lignite mining in the North Bohemian brown coal basin and Sokolov. In the last century there was destruction of the landscape and thus the disturbance of the water régime due to lignite mining. The transition from underground mining to surface mining of lignite caused the extinction of villages, roads, railways, land and greenery. Water surfaces are dried and water streams converted into new artificial troughs. Currently people try to cover up the consequences of interference with the natural landscape by restoration, creation and environmental protection. This effort is realized through land reclamation. Addressed are primarily water reclamation, evaluation of water components changes in different time periods in the and significance of these changes for the landscape, which we are going to leave to future generations.

The main aim of the dissertation is to quantify changes in agricultural land use and propose some solutions to reduce or compensate for quantitative and qualitative degradation of the agricultural land resources in the Czech Republic. Data (WTO, FAO, CIMSC, RISWC, CSO, FADN) are processed by the geographic associations index, environmental stability index, regression and correlation analysis and multi criteria analysis. The quality of the agricultural land is decreased in southern Moravia and central Bohemia (Voltr, 2012).
The quality farmland is mainly reduced in agriculturally valuable soils, i.e. for soils with higher average official price. There is the largest quantitative loss of farmland above all in South-Moravian region and Zlín Region. A distinction of five soil quality classes is made. The large amount of land falls from the highest classes of protection in those two regions. The cultivation of certain crops (wheat, barley, canola, corn, perennial forage, permanent grassland) is located without scant regard for the production of soil conditions. It is not a good way from the agronomical perspective in the Czech Republic. Homogenization of arable crops and their range adversely can affect the long-term productive ability. Although above average high percentage of leased farmland is in the monitored regions, its influence on the GARE change was not statistically confirmed. The irrigation systems should affect the quality of agricultural land. However, the construction of new irrigation systems and the usability of many existing systems is economically limited and influenced by form of ownership too. Subsidies for the sustainability of the production capabilities of agricultural land (Rural Development Program) are paid not for prevention, but as result of erosion processes only. In the dissertation was created multi criteria analysis includes criteria, which can be potential causes reduction of the soil quality. They can simultaneously act on the degradation of agricultural land.

The diploma thesis is focused on the description of the properties of humid air, its evaporation and its chemical composition. Calculation of the amount of evaporated water from the water surface or condensate evaporation during the drying process using domestic appliances, for rooms with permanent humidity and wet operation. In the theoretical part I will deal specifically with the methods of calculation of the evaporation and the properties of the inner microclimate depending on the external conditions with its influence on the building structures and the persons who will be present in such a microclimate. A solution of the air-conditioning unit is taken from the bachelor's thesis and three other variants of air-conditioning units are designed, which are compared in the framework of the optimal and economical solution for operation in the pool environment. The experimental part is focused on specific examples of calculation and measurement. The measurement deals with year-round moisture measurements in damp rooms in family buildings, specifically in bathrooms. Another part of the experimental measurement will be the determination of the amount of evaporated water from a domestic appliance designed to dry the laundry in a condensing manner. And the main, fundamental measurement is the amount of evaporated water on a particular model of the pool hall.

This diploma thesis with the theme of The benefits of green spaces deals with the benefits of green space and their value.
The main part of the thesis is a literary review summarizing the theme of the benefits of green space and the methods of their evaluation. The first part of the review focuses mainly on the identification of the functions of green spaces in an urban environment and a closer look at their effects, utility and functioning. In this section the effects of the phenomena that occur in urban environments and which are suppressed thanks to green spaces are also analyzed. The second part of the review is devoted to the importance of evaluating green spaces and their benefits and further to methodologies, which are discussed in detail.
The following section analyzes the evaluation methodologies and their positive and critical points are identified. This section also divides the methodologies according to their relevance in the Czech environment, which is specific and the methodologies developed in the Anglo-Saxon context cannot be applied without modification. This chapter also compares data sources needed to develop a methodology for evaluating the benefits of green spaces.
In the fifth chapter of the thesis, a methodology for calculating the economic value of the benefits of green spaces in the city is created, based on the knowledge gained in the literature review. The methodology combines methods from various sources and adjusts them to the Czech context. It also examines the data sources needed in order to set up the whole balance sheet.
The sixth part deals with the discussion, in which is the summary of the data, which arise from the assembled methodology and compares them with the literature and the application of similar methodologies in other territories.
The conclusion summarizes the information obtained in the research and suggests other possibilities of their future use.

Each studied surface is defined and its process of construction and parametrical description is listed. The thesis studies selected types of surfaces in details - these surfaces include surfaces of revolution, ruled surfaces, screw surfaces, and translational surfaces. An application of each studied surfaces is shown and each surface is accompanied with a picture. The thesis also contains a picture attachment with photographs of buildings from all over the world on that the studied surfaces visibly appear. This diploma thesis deals with revitalization of brownfields. Namely the circuit of reuse abandoned areas, unused or polluted areas with ecological problems produced by last user. The main object is analysis of possibilities of new use of selected brownfield locality. Selected brownfield is in the south of Bohemia in Dunajovice village. In thesis is an analysis of brownfield object and documentation of measured dimensions. There is description of historical development. There is a reason why the object became an unusable and why it is in bad building condition. There are variations of future use. The product of thesis is study for revitalization of brownfield. Every project is analysed by SWOT analysis and evaluated for choose the best one. In next chapter are costs of project options. Benefits of thesis are in creating new modifications of brownfield's use. The technical documentation can be used for other buildings in similar condition too.
