In order to apply the PTO pulse function of Siemens PLC in a more systematic, convenient and effective way, this thesis adopts the position control wizard to generate envelop and control subroutine. The thesis also makes detailed descriptions and case discussions on the four subroutines of PTO0_CTRL, PTO0_RUN, PTO0_MAN, PTO0_LDPOS, and the results show that using the position control wizard can not only generate envelop and control subroutine conveniently but also bring convenience to the application of the subroutine. Especially, the parameters of the four subroutines interact both independently and mutually. If we make a deeper research on the parameters, we can master their relations further more and apply them more proficiently.

This article focuses on the design of parts processing and control system based on Siemens S7-200 PLC. The purpose of this study is to learn and become familiar with the Siemens S7-200PLC hardware parameters and the use of programming software STEP 7 Micro/WIN SP9, and design a rational and effective parts processing and control system. This paper firstly describes the development history and development status of the PLC, so that readers can understand the PLC briefly. Secondly, the article shows some important technical parameters such as Siemens S7-200PLC CPU model, hardware configuration and so on. It is to clarify the basic component of parts processing and control system and its working principle, and the role of Siemens PLC in the system. Finally, according to specific design requirements, programming software STEP 7 Micro/WIN SP9 is used to program for the system so that the system can operate effectively and reasonably. The study successfully achieved the desired goals, through reasonable programming made PLC take the full control of parts processing in this system..

The paper presents the design and application of the beverage automatic filling system based on Siemens S7-300 PLC and MP277 touch screen. Photoelectric sensor was used to precisely detect positions of the beverage bottle, which it arrives the fixed position, servo motor will control it stop. The Siemens S7-300 PLC was designed by the software of Siemens STEP 7 5.4. Touch Screen was designed by the software of WinCC Flexible 2008, which it and PLC communicated by DP lines. The beverage automatic filling system can real-time display the state and set up the parameters of the object. It was proved by practice that beverage automatic filling system reduces labor intensity and operational cost, increases automation degree, and improves production efficiency.

In this paper, we introduce a food production and packaging system. This system includes many processes, namely, mixing, blending, molding, drying, packaging, and relates to multiple devices. To ensure the quality of food production and packaging, it needs coordination of all procedures and controls based on process requirements to achieve different objectives, so we use PLC centralized control in the food production and packaging system. According to the control object, we allocated the PLC address and choose the PLC of Siemens S7-200. On the basis of control tasks, we designed a control flowchart and programmed for PLC control system of Siemens S7-200 using STEP7-MICRO/WIN programming software .The practical applications have proved the good results.

The main aim of this paper is improve the high voltage electrostatic separation efficiency of roll-type electrostatic separator. To this end, a method of controlling the roller to obtain the best rotate speed was introduced. Experiments of system design were performed on 315-2DP type Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) produced by Siemens, E6B2 - CWZ6C encoder provided by Omron and MM440 converter obtained from Siemens. According to the nature differences of the separation particles, presetting the roller rotation speed in the upper machine. Then it is downloaded to the PLC. Through the tail encoder of the motor to receive the signals, calculating the roller speed and feedback to the PLC to control the converter, then formed a closed-loop control system of the motor speed.

In this paper, in order to ensure stable and efficient operation of a pilot-scale modified A2/O (anoxic/anaerobic/aerobic/pre-anoxic) -MBR plant, the automatic control system based on PLC is designed and introduced from the views of system configuration and unit control methods. The master computer undertakes the monitoring and managing task by Siemens WINCC 7.0 configuring software, while the slave computer implements the function of data collection and automatic control based on Siemens S7-300 PLC. Intelligent PID algorithm is utilized to precisely control the influent flow rate, recycled flow rate and DO concentration in aerobic tank in this system. The commissioning and operation practice has proved that the PLC-based automatic control system greatly improved the degree of automation and achieved high nutrient removal efficiency in this plant.

Abstract The paper describes a prototype operator panel, which was designed to operate with the S7-200 family of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC-s) from Siemens. Most of the functionality of the operator panel was implemented in a computer program, which runs on a PC-class computer. The program communicates with a PLC through its communication port configured in the Freeport mode. Two kinds of interface between the PC, and the PLC are supported: wired, and wireless. For wired connection a standard PC/PPI cable supplied by Siemens is used. For wireless connection two communication modules were designed, which operate in the free 433 MHz band. The operator panel program is intuitive, and easy to use. States of PLC inputs and outputs are presented using graphical objects. It is possible to modify states of the outputs, and monitor and edit any variable in the M and V memory in the PLC. The application supports also alarming. The program can be run on any computer with the MS Windows operating system installed. This makes the solution very cost-effective. Providing both wired and wireless communication radically increases flexibility of the proposed solution. The panel can be quickly mounted in areas, where pulling new cables is inconvenient, difficult or expensive.

Nowdays, automation system become important aspect in manufacturing process because could make integration manufacturing process on it more effective and more efficient. PLC or Programmable Logic Controller is one kind of automation system. Many industries use PLC as automation control device in manufacturing process to control all kind of process. For example at transportation process of coals in generator industry. Coals could be burned because main elements of coals are carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. Base on this prototype early warning system design, we get the result if sensor thermocouple detect temperature more large than setpoint temperature (it is 2000C), then PLC will give an order to shut down the output, that is belt conveyor. Result of this prototype design could used at coals transportation as an early warning system. Design of prototype early warning system could detect and prevent fire because of consequence of burned coals until spreading of fire could be avoided.Keywords: PLC Siemens S7-300, IC AD 595, Sensor Thermocouple KAbstrakPada masa sekarang ini, sistem otomasi menjadi aspek penting dalam proses manufakturing karena mampu mengintegrasikan proses manufaktur sehingga menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien. It uses SIEMENS PLC226 as the core control unit to complete the following processes [: 1).Automatically goes fetching molten iron from induction melting furnace. 2).Automatically positioning casting holes and casting molten iron of setting weight into them. The system uses the laser ranging sensor to position casting holes according to the distance between casting position and the ground, and the weight of molten iron is measured by the weighing sensor. The system uses SIEMENS-TP170B touch screen as upper computer to set and display relevant parameters. After repeated experiments, the design has met the requirements: precise positioning, reliable weighing and automatic casting.

Sistem iradiasi rabbit hidrolik adalah salah satu fasilitas iradiasi yang terletak pada berilium reflektor teras reaktor yang digunakan untuk produksi radioisotop dan Analisa Aktivasi Neutron (AAN). Saat ini sistem iradiasi rabbit hidrolik tersebut, pada sistem instrumentasi dan kendalinya telah menggunakan PLC Siemens S7-300 CPU tipe 315-2DP dengan komunikasi serial MPI sebagai pengendali dan HMI menggunakan perangkat lunak WinCC. Pada sistem tersebut, belum semua parameter operasi diproses PLC dan masih menggunakan perangkat keras untuk melakukan pengaturan waktu iradiasi. Pada tulisan ini, dilakukan perancangan modifikasi sistem instrumentasi dan kendali sistem iradiasi rabbit hidrolik. Metode perancangan dilakukan dengan mempelajari sistem iradiasi rabbit hidrolik, pengumpulan data I/O dan parameter operasi, mengganti dan menambahkan perangkat keras yang diperlukan, pengaturan koneksi PLC dan pembuatan HMI. Pada perancangan dilakukan pengolahan parameter operasi secara keseluruhan seperti data sensor temperature, konduktivitas, level air, dan tekanan serta optimasi PLC Siemens S7-300 dengan mengganti CPU lama dengan CPU baru tipe 315-2PN/DP yang dilengkapi fasilitas komunikasi LAN dan menggunakan antarmuka OPC server. Pada perancangan digunakan perangkat lunak LabVIEW sebagai HMI untuk tampilan pengaturan waktu dan start iradiasi, perekaman data iradiasi, status posisi kapsul iradiasi, status sensor dan visualisasi sistem proses rabbit hidrolik. Programmable logic controllers are typically programmed in one of the five languages defined in the IEC 61131 standard. While the ability to choose the appropriate language for each program unit may be an advantage for the developers, it poses a serious challenge to verification methods. In this paper we analyse and compare these languages to show that the ST programming language can efficiently and conveniently represent all PLC languages for formal verification purposes. Furthermore, we provide a translation method from IL to ST programming languages (for the Siemens implementation), together with a sketch of proof for its correctness. This allows the usage of the ST-based PLCverif model checking method for safety PLC programs.

Hot strip mill in steel rolling process of induction heating is more and more widely used, because temperature distribution of the billet into the furnace is uneven, the artificial control of heating furnace is difficult to reach temperature accuracy and stability. This project using hierarchical optimization method, connect to Siemens PLC using PPI protocol, and through data modeling method to build the billet heating process model, using stochastic optimization method to obtain the optimum heating voltage curve and passed to the PLC. PLC using a segmented PID algorithm to achieve the voltage curve tracking control. The experimental results show that the hierarchical optimization structure achieved very good results.

Advance of a road traffic light control system using Programmable Logic Controller is the principal of the system. This system can be divided into two parts which are hardware and software. The hardware part for this system is a model of four -way junction of a traffic light. The Red, Yellow and Green are installed at each lane to represent as a traffic light signal indicator. This switches and lamps are linked to PLC. The PLC receives signal which is coming from the inputs (sensor and switch) and drives the units (lamps or relays). In the system, Siemens s7-200 PLC is used as the main controller of the traffic light system. The Step7 Micro Win software can be developed the ladder logic diagram which can control the traffic light for proposed system. So, the traffic light system can be successfully controlled by PLC.
