ABSTRAKPenerapan teknologi digital pada sistem SCADA dapat dilakukan dengan menampilkan user interface dengan metode Augmented Reality yaitu suatu teknologi yang menggabungkan suatu objek nyata dan objek virtual secara realtime. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan HMI NodeRED dengan metode pengamatan Augmented Reality pada Sistem SCADA Modular Production Systems (MPS) bagian Testing dan Handling Station. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan sistem berhasil melakukan kontrol dan monitoring plant Testing dan Handling Station melalui Webview Augmented Reality. Nilai rata-rata waktu pengiriman data PLC ke PC pada Testing Station yaitu 109 ms dan rata-rata waktu yang pengiriman data PC ke PLC yaitu 106 ms. Sedangkan untuk Handling Station rata-rata waktu pengiriman data PLC ke PC yaitu 109 ms dan rata-rata waktu pengiriman data PC ke PLC yaitu 105 ms.Kata kunci: Augmented Reality, SCADA, NodeRED, PLC, MPS ABSTRACTThe Implementation of digital technology in the SCADA system can be done by displaying a user interface with the Augmented Reality method, which is a technology that combines a real object and a virtual object in real-time. This study aims to implement HMI NodeRED with the Augmented Reality observation method on the SCADA Modular Production Systems (MPS) for testing and handling stations. The test results showed that the system successfully controlled and monitored the Testing and Handling Station plants through the Augmented Reality Webview.The average value of the time of sending PLC data to PC at the Testing Station is 109 ms and the average time that PC data is sent to the PLC is 106 ms. While for the Handling Station, the average time for sending PLC data to PC is 109 ms and the average time for sending PC data to PLC is 105 ms.Keywords: Augmented Reality, SCADA, NodeRED, PLC, MPS

Sistem pembangkit listrik pada umumnya terdiri dari peralatan untuk membangkitkan listrik, sistem kontrol dan sistem monitoring. Sistem monitoring terletak di control room yang lokasinya cukup jauh dari peralatan pembangkit, sehingga menggunakan SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) sebagai solusi untuk hal tersebut. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pembuatan rancang bangun prototipe sistem monitoring sinkronisasi generator ke jaringan PLN pada PLTM (Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mini Hidro) berbasis SCADA. Sistem SCADA menyajikan data dalam bentuk grafik dan tulisan yang nilainya berupa data dari GPC-3 Hydro dan PLC. Protokol yang digunakan untuk komunikasi adalah modbus TCP/IP. Hasil dari pengujian yang telah dilakukan membuktikan bahwa sistem SCADA yang dibuat sudah mampu melakukan monitoring data RTU baik dari GPC-3 Hydro maupun PLC secara real time saat pembangkit sedang beroperasi. Indikatornya berupa kesesuaian nilai data antara SCADA dengan modbus yang terhubung pada GPC-3 Hydro dan PLC serta didukung kesesuaian nilai waktu yang terekam pada data tabel alarm dan grafik.

Pada dunia industri sistem otomasi biasanya terdiri dari perangkat kontroller, sistem Pengawasan/kontrol salah satunya berupa sistem SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition), dan perangkat sensor/aktuator. Processing station pada factory trainer merupakan sebuah miniatur proses otomasi industri. Processing station pada factory trainer tidak memiliki sistem pengawasan sehingga diperlukan sebuah sistem SCADA yang mampu melakukan sistem pengawasan dan kontrol terhadap processing station pada factory trainer. Maka sistem SCADA processing station dirancang dengan menggunakan PLC type CP1E-N40 dan HMI type NB7W-TW00B keluaran Omron. Pada perancangan akan dibuat program pengendali dan pengawasan terhadap plant processing station. Diharapkan sistem SCADA dapat berkomunikasi dengan PLC yang mengontrol plant. Percobaan dapat diaplikasikan dengan menguji perbedaan interval waktu anta panel plant dengan panel HMI. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah terjadi perbedaan waktu antara 0,3 detik sampai 0,4 detik. Hal ini dikarenakan adanya proses transfering data dari HMI menuju kontroler. Kontroler menuju HMI yang dipengaruhi oleh baudrate dan kecepatan masing-masing CPU. The SCADA-based AC motor monitoring and control system is a three-phase induction motor monitoring and control system. Motor speed regulation feedback is obtained from the tacho generator which is connected to the pulleys. The SCADA program manages inverter and microcontroller communications so that the process of monitoring the speed of an induction motor is done through a computer. Induction motor speed regulation using VSD as an inverter functions to adjust the source frequency so that the motor speed can be adjusted. Communication between VSD, PLC and SCADA uses the MODBUS protocol to monitor the performance of the induction motor. The main equipment uses ATV12HU22M3 inverter and CQM1H PLC. The CX-Programmer and CIMON software function to manage and monitor in real time the system. The results of the induction motor settings can be adjusted with VSD speeds ranging from 0-50 Hz. PLC as master control and SCADA function as distance controller.

Implementasi dari Rancang Bangun Sistem Monitoring Prototype Mesin Packaging Berbasis PLC dapat menampilkan data dari waktu permesinan, dari Running time, Minor Stop Time dan Breakdown Time. Dimana klasifikasi waktu tersebut di buat secara otomatis sehingga dapat memudahkan para operator dalam mendata waktu permesinan dan memonitor kegiatan produksi me njadi lebih mudah dan terstruktur. Data dari PLC yang didapatkan akan ditransmisikan kepada Sercer OPC yang terhubung dengan SCADA Intouch Wonderware sebagai display untuk proyek akhir ini. Dari sepuluh kali pengambilan data, waktu running yang diterima dari PLC ke PC (Wonderware) dan sebaliknya dari PC (Wonderware) ke PLC sistem ini merespon dengan baik ketika fungsi dijalankan. Dimana terdapat perbedaan waktu atau delay sebesar 0,27s pada tombol ON dan 0,33s pada tombol OFF dengan penekanan dengan Software dan Hardware. Penekanan dengan software mendapatkan waktu tunda yang lebih besar dikarenakan melewati server dahulu untuk menghubungkan PLC ke PC (Wonderware). A smart home is a combination of technology and services in the home environment that aims to increase the efficiency, comfort and safety of its residents. This smart home is controlled by Outseal PLC which communicates locally using RS485 with Haiwell SCADA HMI. Apart from controlling and monitoring through the Haiwell SCADA HMI[1], you can do it via a smartphone by downloading the Haiwell Cloud app in the Playstore. When the light is turned on via the Haiwell Scada HMI or using a Smartphone, the buttons on the Haiwell Scada HMI and the smartphone will turn on. And there is a delay of about 5 seconds, due to the time it takes to send information to Outseal PLC. The main objective of this journal is to introduce children to smart home by making a miniature smart home using SCADA, Outseal PLC Arduino Mega and other components. In this paper we use SCADA, the RS 485 control protocol to create this miniature smart home. It used to be that if the user wanted to control equipment, he had to move near the wall and control the sacred. This method is inconvenient for the elderly and disabled. therefore created a smart home that can be controlled and controlled remotely This miniature smart home uses solar panels as an energy source so when there is a blackout, this miniature can still be used[2].

Abstract:
A stability test chamber simulates specific environmental conditions and tests a product or material in the manufacturing stage. The tested product or material is then analyzed about its shelf-life estimation related to the state and durability of the product for a certain period. The main parameter that must control accurately is temperature. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) as an industrial computer control system has been widely used. In this paper, the temperature control system was designed based on PLC and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA). The PLC and SCADA would indirectly control the heater. The PLC was feeded from the temperature sensor for real-time temperature inside the test chamber. Received temperature value, compared to the temperature set point. The validation and verification of controlled temperature inside the chamber were also investigated. The system was designed on a miniaturized chamber using commercial PLC and SCADA, Stepper motor, slide regulator, heater, and the temperature sensor PT100. The temperature test point for validation and verification was performed at 35 °C, 45 °C, and 55 °C. The result showed that The PT100 successfully had an excellent response to the temperature test point. The correction value for temperature is as high as 0.6 °C with a deviation of 1 %.

Abstract:

Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems are widely used in automated manufacturing and in all areas of our nation's infrastructure. Applications range from chemical processes and water treatment facilities to oil and gas production and electric power generation and distribution. Current research on SCADA system security focuses on the primary SCADA components and targets network centric attacks. Security risks via attacks against the peripheral devices such as the Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) have not been sufficiently addressed. Our research results address the need to develop PLC applications that are correct, safe and secure. This research provides an analysis of software safety and security threats. We develop countermeasures that are compatible with the existing PLC technologies. We study both intentional and unintentional software errors and propose methods to prevent them. The main contributions of this dissertation are: 1). Develop a taxonomy of software errors and attacks in ladder logic 2). Model ladder logic vulnerabilities 3). Develop security design patterns to avoid software vulnerabilities and incorrect practices 4). Implement a proof of concept static analysis tool which detects the vulnerabilities in the PLC code and recommend corresponding design patterns.

Abstract:
This is a master’s thesis project entitled “Secure reprogramming of network connected devices”. The thesis begins by providing some background information to enable the reader to understand the current vulnerabilities of network-connected devices, specifically with regard to cyber security and data integrity. Today supervisory control and data acquisition systems utilizing network connected programmable logic controllers are widely used in many industries and critical infrastructures. These network-attached devices have been under increasing attack for some time by malicious attackers (including in some cases possibly government supported efforts). This thesis evaluates currently available solutions to mitigate these attacks. Based upon this evaluation a new solution based on the Trusted Computing Group (TCG’s) Trusted Platform Modules (TPM) specification is proposed. This solution utilizes a lightweight version of TPM and TCG’s Reliable Computing Machine (RCM) to achieve the desired security. The security of the proposed solution is evaluated both theoretically and using a prototype. This evaluation shows that the proposed solution helps to a great extent to mitigate the previously observed vulnerabilities when reprogramming network connected devices. The main result of this thesis project is a secure way of reprogramming these network attached devices so that only a valid user can successfully reprogram the device and no one else can reprogram the device (either to return it to an earlier state, perhaps with a known attack vector, or even worse prevent a valid user from programming the device).
Avhandlingen börjar med att ge lite bakgrundsinformation för att läsaren att förstå de nuvarande sårbarheten i nätverksanslutna enheter, särskilt när det gäller IT-säkerhet och dataintegritet. Idag övervakande kontroll och datainsamlingssystem använder nätverksanslutna programmerbara styrsystem används allmänt i många branscher och kritisk infrastruktur. Dessa nätverk anslutna enheter har under ökande attacker under en tid av illvilliga angripare (inklusive i vissa fall eventuellt regeringen stöds insatser). Denna avhandling utvärderar för närvarande tillgängliga lösningar för att minska dessa attacker. Baserat på denna utvärdering en ny lösning baserad på Trusted Computing Group (TCG) Trusted Platform Modules (TPM) specifikation föreslås. Denna lösning använder en lätt version av TPM och TCG:s pålitliga dator (RCM) för att uppnå önskad säkerhet. Säkerheten i den föreslagna lösningen utvärderas både teoretiskt och med hjälp av en prototyp. Utvärderingen visar att den föreslagna lösningen bidrar i stor utsträckning för att minska de tidigare observerade sårbarheter när omprogrammering nätverksanslutna enheter.  Huvudresultatet av denna avhandling projektet är ett säkert sätt omprogrammering dessa nätverksanslutna enheter så att endast ett giltigt användarnamn framgångsrikt kan omprogrammera enheten och ingen annan kan programmera enheten (antingen att återställa den till ett tidigare tillstånd, kanske med en känd attack vector, eller ännu värre förhindra en giltig användare från programmering av enheten).

In this bachelor thesis a comparison and evaluation of six different process visualization programs has been made. The purpose of the comparison is to find a suitable program for an experiment in control, held at Linköpings universitet, but also to get an overview of the market at the time this report was written.

After the evaluation an implementation is carried out with the programs that were bought. RSLogix, InTouch, InSQL and SuiteVoyager, one programming tool, one visualization tool, a database-manager and a web-portal for interaction over the Internet.

Digitization has been given a greater role in the monitoring and control of a processing plant. This trend will grow globally to achieve a smarter production chain that generates ecenomic profits. The purpose of this thesis was to develop an existing process that respresents an automated drilling station. THis i scontrolled by integrating Java-netbeans software into the PLC hardware with a user interface that can read the data flow of PLC.The drilling station is controlled by PLC. This work describes the possible methods for achieving integration between Java-netbeans and PLC.  The essential part of the work was literature study, programming of source code and programming of PLC. This work achieved all the objectives.
Digitaliseringen har fått en större roll i övervakning och styrning av en processanläggning. Denna trend kommer att växa globalt för att uppnå en smartare produktionskedja som giver ekonomiska vinster. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att utveckla en befintlig process som föreställer en automatiserad borrstation. Detta styrs genom lufttryck, sensorer, cylindrar och relä ventiler. Utvecklingen skedde genom att integrera Java-netbeans mjukvara till PLC hårdvaran med ett användargränssnitt som kan läsa av dataflödet av PLC. Borrstationen styrs av PLC. I detta arbete beskrivs vilka möjliga metoder det finns för att uppnå integrering mellan Java-netbeans och PLC. Arbetets essentiella delar var litteraturstudie, programmering av källkod och programmering av PLC. Detta arbete uppnådde alla målsättningar.

Även fast de flesta kanske skulle tänka på en industri när de hör talas om ett övervakande system, är det något som ökar inom fastighetsautomation idag. I och med att dagens byggnader blir mer intelligenta ökar behovet av att ha full koll på alla delar i ett fastighetssystem. Genom att implementera ett överordnat system, också kallat för SCADA system, kan en fastighet övervakas från ett och samma ställe vilket ger användaren full koll på vad som händer i en byggnad. Målet med detta arbete är att beskriva kommunikationen mellan ett överordnat och ett underliggande system samt att realisera ett SCADA system. Först beskrivs hur ett överordnat system fungerar och det följs upp med en utredning kring kommunikationsstandarden som ligger till grund för hur ett fungerande SCADA sedan kan implementeras. Med tanke på dagens användning av internet väcks genast frågan kring hur säkert ett liknande system kan implementeras i ett hus utan att det kan hackas av utomstående, vilket besvaras utifrån teorin. Slutsatsen är den att ett överordnat system har väldigt stor potential med tanke på att nästintill varje hushåll idag har internet och en dator eller mobil enhet. Kan man bortse från säkerhetsriskerna och hur stor kostnaden kan tänkas bli för att köpa sig ett liknande system är detta framtiden i våra hushåll.
Even though you probably first of all would think about industries when you hear about a monitoring system its something that is increasing in building automation today. As today's buildings become more intelligent, the need to gain full control of all parts of the system increases. By implementing a superiorvisory system, also known as a SCADA system, a property can be monitored from one location, giving the user a full overview of what's happening in the building. The aim of this work is to describe the communication between a supervisory and underlying system and to put togheter a small SCADA system. First of all is a description of how a superior system works and is followed up with an investigation about the chosen communication standard. A standard that underlies how a functional SCADA then can be implemented. Most of the industrial plants has a control center where is installed a SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) application. At the moment, it exists a great offer of acquisition, supervision and control of software and the evolution of this software follows a triple tendency: intercommunication between applications, standardization of the communications with the field devices and adoption of the communication surroundings. The report is divided in two parts: In the first the reader can learn the basic ideas of SCADA system and find the most important SCADA software available today. InTouch 7.1 and WinCC have been studied in more depth because they are the most successful software. In the second part is described the visualization of a real life process, it is the visualization of a toy car factory allocated in Linköping?s University and how interconnected the visualization process with the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). In the report also are described the basic components needed to realize the visualization of any process involving PLCs.

Communication model of a general SCADA system and its foundational elements are explained. It is mainly theoretical passage and it serves as an introduction. It is necessary for understanding the second part which is mainly practical. The appropriate system is chosen as a first thing in the practical part of the thesis for the implementation of the whole project. There are defined criteria on which the system itself is implemented. Following that the system itself is implemented under a framework called openMUC and it is tested with help of the simulators according to the objective of the thesis.

På det kommunalägda energiföretaget Sala Heby Energi AB pågår arbetet med att konvertera styrningen av en värmepanna från relästyrning och analog övervakning till digital styrning med PLC. Inom ramarna för detta examensarbete studeras tre specifika delar av denna konvertering: en teoretisk studie med syfte att kartlägga fördelar och nackdelar med konverteringen, en undersökning huruvida det finns möjlighet att förbättra en-skilda styrfunktioner i samband med konverteringen och upprättande av ett principschema eller översiktsbild över värmepannan som ska fungera som underlag till dess implementering i kraftvärmeverkets SCADA-system. En fördel med relästyrningen är att den kan vara kostnadseffektiv för att klara enskilda enkla styruppgifter. Dock, överlag och i synnerhet för styrning av större mer komplexa processer talar det mesta till den digitala styrningens fördel. Detta i form av kostnadseffektivitet för större system, möjligheter till mer effektiv larmhantering och möjligheten till loggning av driftdata. Två enskilda funktioner studeras: reglering av värmepannans siktskärm i förhållande till ångdomstrycket och styrning för bränslehanteringen. För reglering av siktskärmens höjd jämförs två alter-nativ med hjälp av simuleringar i Simulink. Konventionell PID-reglering jämförs mot en egenkonstruerad fuzzy-regulator. Mycket på grund av en bristfälligt underbyggd modellering av processen går inte fuzzy-regulatorns eventuella fördelar mot PID-regulatorn att fastställa. Framtida studier av fuzzy-regulatorn skulle potentiellt kunna ändra på detta förhållande. Vidare diskuteras styrningen av funktioner i bränslehantering och då främst autentisering av chaufförer som ska bränslefylla. För att de ska få tillgång till bränslehanteringens funktioner när kraftvärmeverket är obemannat föreslås det en lösning med nyckelbrytare för att aktivera aktuella styrfunktioner. Slutligen tas en ny digital översiktsbild fram över systemet för värmepannan. Denna innehåller mindre uppdateringar och anpassningar jämfört med två översiktsbilder som finns uppritade på de gamla styrskåpen.
At the municipality-owned energy company Sala Heby Energi AB work is underway to convert the control of a heating-pan from relay control and analog monitoring to digital control with PLC. Within the framework of this degree project, three specific parts of this conversion are studied: a theoretical study aimed at mapping the pros and cons of the conversion, an examination of the possibility of improving individual control functions in conjunction with the conversion and the establishment of a schematic diagram or overview of the heat boiler that will serve as a basis for its implementation in the SCADA-system of the combined power and heating plant. An advantage of relay control is that it can be cost-effective to handle individual simple control tasks. However, overall and in particular for controlling major more complex processes the benefits of digital control is large. This in terms of cost-effectiveness for larger systems, possibilities for more efficient alarm management and the ability to log operational data. Two individual functions are studied: control of the heating pans damper in relation to the steam pressure and fuel management control. To adjust the height of the damper, two control options are compared using Simulink simulations. Conventional PID control is com-pared to a self-configured fuzzy controller. Much due to a poorly substantiated modelling of the process, the fuzzy regulator's possible benefits to the PID regulator can not be determined. Future studies of the fuzzy regulator could potentially change this circumstance. Furthermore, the control of functions for the fuel management are discussed, mainly authorship of drivers who will fill fuel to the fuel storage. In order for them to have access to the fuel management functions when the combined power and heating plant is unmanned, a key switch solution is proposed to activate the control functions. Finally, a new digital overview picture is produced for the system of the heating pan. This contains minor up-dates and adjustments compared to two overview images depicted on the old control cabinets.

In this thesis study, a prototype is designed in order to improve the weighing accuracy of the weighing and packaging machine that used in sugar factories. The unavoidable factory conditions cause weighing and packaging machine to do weighing errors. In order to correct these errors, the prototype produced in this study was designed as a quality control unit which will take the excess sugar and fill the deficient sugar in the sacks. Because of being small and having an easy installation, the application of the prototype was done considering 1-kilogram bags rather than available 50-kilogram ones. So as to correct the faulty weighing, sugar extraction and filling processes are provided from a bunker which is designed on the basis of data obtained by statistical analysis. For suction, vacuum is used and filling is realized by a ball valve. Upwards and downwards movement of the bunker is carried out with a pneumatic cylinder. Weighing information is received via a load cell and an indicator. Control of all these devices is provided by PLC hardware and SCADA interface.

Este trabalho está inserido no contexto da produção de gás resultante do processo de coqueificação numa bateria de coque. Este gás necessita da sucção, resfriamento, filtragem e encaminhamento para as demais plantas de extração de sub-produtos. O tratamento primário consiste em retirar o gás da bateria através de um exaustor que faz o arraste do gás, passando pelos resfriadores e filtros primários, antes de seguir para os demais tratamentos. O objetivo deste projeto é substituir o sistema de automação e as malhas de controle industrial do sistema de tratamento de gás que utiliza controlador da marca Rockwell modelo CompactLogix, para uma arquitetura com Sistema Digital de Controle Distribuído (DCS) também da marca Rockwell, plataforma PlantPax com controlador modelo ControLogix. Para o desenvolvimento do projeto foram utilizados manuais técnicos de operação e programação do equipamento. Além disso, foram utilizados diagramas de instrumentação do sistema de gás nº 1. Uma estação de engenharia e operação foi instalada para fazer toda a programação e desenvolvimento da aplicação de controle das malhas e a interface de supervisão e operação da planta. Dentre os resultados verificados destacam-se uma maior disponibilidade e confiabilidade operacional com riquezas de detalhes nas monitorações das variáveis de processo. Disponibilização de históricos e registros dos equipamentos, mantendo a segurança de acesso ao sistema, gerenciamento de alarmes e telas gráficas para monitoração do processo.
