s developmental needs. KurtuluS Park of Ankara was determined as the research area whereas, 70 children, aged between 6 to 12, were randomly selected and observed. Data on age, sex, favourite type of playground equipment and play behaviour of the child were collected by means of an observation sheet. Dissertação apresentada na Universidade de Lisboa - Faculdade de Arquitetura, para obtenção do grau de Mestre em Design de Produto.A consciência da importância de espaços públicos dedicados a crianças no seu desenvolvimento integral, tem vindo a crescer desde os finais do século XIX. Esta importância aumenta quando nos deparamos com algumas transformações na nossa sociedade como a redução do tamanho das famílias e a diminuição dos espaços domésticos para brincar, entre outras. Paralelamente, há um crescimento do mercado de brinquedos e equipamentos lúdico-pedagógicos de teor científico. Assim, na presente dissertação, pretende-se projectar um sistema de equipamentos urbanos lúdicos para o público infantil que englobe música e os benefícios desta, com o objectivo de associar o conhecimento a uma actividade lúdica, facilitar a aprendizagem e, ao mesmo tempo, promover o exercício físico e o desenvolvimento social. Sendo uma dissertação de teor prático, recorrer-se-á a uma metodologia mista. Primeiramente não intervencionista de observação directa, recolha e organização da literatura e numa segunda fase, intervencionista, a investigação activa, que consiste no projecto do sistema que será confrontada com diversos especialistas. Teve-se como objectivo projectar um sistema que leve à interacção com a música contribuindo para uma melhor relação entre as crianças e o conhecimento facilitando-lhes a aprendizagem. Assim esperamos contribuir para um maior conhecimento nas áreas do design de equipamentos infantis e criar um sistema passível de ser divulgado e comercializado mais tarde.
ABSTRACT: The awareness of the importance of public spaces dedicated to children in their full development has been growing since the late nineteenth century. This importance increases when we face with some changes in our society such as the reducing size of families and domestic space to play, among other. In parallel, there is also a growth of recreational and educational toys and equipment for scientific content market. Thus, in the present work, we intend to design an urban recreational equipment system for children that embraces music and its benefits in order to link knowledge to a recreational activity, facilitate learning and, at the same time, promoting exercise and social development. Being a practical dissertation, it will be applied a mixed methodology. First non-interventional of direct observation, gathering and organizing literature. In a second stage an interventional one through active interventional research, which consists in the designing of the system that will be confronted with different experts. The objective is to lead to the interaction with music contributing to a better relationship between children and knowledge and facilitating their learning. We hope to collaborate for a better knowledge in children equipment design area and create a system that can be marketed later.

There is an increasing awareness of the necessity to evaluate the effects of tennis equipment in combination with players and the corresponding need for new methods of testing to be developed. This research has investigated the effectiveness of a range of objective measurements of player performance and their ability to quantity the effects of equipment modification and player fatigue. The hypothesis of this research was that if different designs of tennis equipment affect a player differently in terms of either accelerated/reduced fatigue or increased/reduced likelihood of injury, then there must be some changes in either the impact dynamics in terms of shock loading and vibration transmission, or through kinematic changes in terms of swing motion and biomechanics. Furthermore, it was hypothesised that using state-of-the-art instrumentation technologies in conjunction with a controlled experimental protocol, it may be possible to measure some of these changes.

The Space Plug-and-play Interface Simulation Equipment (SPISE) box was developed by ÅAC to aid in the debugging of satellite modules. This report covers the analysis and conversion of this box to provide initial support for the Space Plug-and-play Avionics (SPA) set of protocols in a single Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). A major part of this conversion is the design of SPA-U support for which both a host and slave Universal Serial Bus 1.1 (USB 1.1) stack is needed. The comparison of methods to get this functionality and the final design of the Intellectual Property (IP) cores which are implemented in the Very High Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL) language utilizing the freely available from OpenCores, USBHostSlave controller IP by Steve Fielding. The intended target hardware for this project is the reuse of the existing platform, an Actel A3P1000 FPGA containing one million gates. Described in this report are the necessary choices made to implement support for the SPA protocols within a limited time and budget while maintaining compatibility with the architecture of the SPISE box.

This thesis examines the play of children in three Melbourne primary school playgrounds, in diverse socio-economic areas. Play categories were developed and data was collected using qualitative methods. The influence of school policy, teacher supervision styles, playspace design and provision of play equipment was explored and compared for each school. The voices of principals, teachers and children, in conjunction with playground observations and questionnaire response were compiled in order to develop a clear picture of each school playground. Findings showed that children in each school participated in a full range of play categories and were prepared to break school rules in order to do so.

Bakgrund Idag spenderar barn mycket tid inomhus eller på schemalagda aktiviteter. I och med barns rättighet till ett hälsosamt liv har förskolan i uppgift att se till att barn får vara ute och där också få en positiv upplevelse av utomhusmiljön så att barnen som vuxna får en bra relation till naturen. Teori Studien utgår från teorier som åskådliggör positiva effekter av utomhusvistelse för barn. Lek i utomhusmiljö bidrar i hög grad till att utveckla motoriska och kognitiva färdigheter och väderväxlingar berikar barnens stimulans av olika sinnen. Teorier visar även att vatten är en stor källa till inspiration och experimentslust. Syfte Syftet är att undersöka hur tre förskolor i Stockholm använder sin förskolegård i nederbörd samt att studera hur redskap på gården är utformade för att kunna användas i nederbörd på hösten. Meningen är att studien ska ge inspiration till andra förskolor att se möjligheter i dagar med nederbörd. Metod Arbetet utgår från observationer på förskolor samt kvalitativa interjuver med en pedagog från varje förskola. Resultat Resultatet visar att redskap finns på alla gårdar men att de överlag inte är utformade speciellt för lek i nederbörd. Redskapen används alltid tillsammans med lösa föremål. Lösa föremål för att hälla och transportera används speciellt i lek med vatten, medan naturföremål används i rollekar under nederbörd. Pedagogernas förhållningssätt till utevistelse och barns lek påverkar hur och med vad barn leker. Ibland ordnas aktiviteter för barnen då det regnar eller snöar, men det anses vara lättare på sommarhalvåret då kombinationen väta och kyla på hösten bidrar till att barnen blir kalla och måste gå in. Terrängen ses inte som hinder vid nederbörd och avskilda platser används ofta av barnen för återhämtning. Markens möjlighet till vattenpölar uppskattas mycket av barnen.Background Today, children spend much time indoors or on scheduled activities. On account of a child’s right to a healthy life the preschool is assigned to make sure that the children are allowed to be outdoors and to receive a positive experience of the outside environment, thus leading to a good relationship with nature as adults. Theoretical perspectives The study is based on theories that illustrate the positive effects children receive from being outdoors. Playing outdoors contributes greatly to a child’s physical development and the changes in weather enrich a child’s senses. Theories also show that water is a great source of inspiration. Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine how three preschools in Stockholm use their playground and the equipment on it during wet weather in autumn. This study is supposed to inspire other preschools to discover the possibilities that wet weather offer. Methodology The study is based on observations and qualitative interviews with one pedagogue from each participating preschool. Conclusion The study show that there are playground equipments on all playgrounds but that they generally are not specifically designed to be used during wet weather. The playground equipment is always used in conjunction with toys. The approach to play and to the outdoors by the pedagogue, affects with what the children play. On occasion, the preschools arrange activities during wet weather but it’s considered easier during the summer semester. The terrain is not considered as an obstacle during wet weather and secluded locations are often used by the children for recreation. The possibilities for puddles in the uneven terrain are very appreciated by the children.

Play can be beneficial and effective for children experiencing the stress, fears, and anxieties associated with illness or death by expressing their feelings into activity (Brown 2018). It can be difficult for children to verbally communicate complex emotions because they usually are unsure of what words to say to express their emotions. Therapeutic play is a great coping mechanism for coping with death because it allows children to express their emotions through play. Professionals working with children would be better equipped to meet children’s needs with a firmer understanding on the ways in which therapeutic play techniques can be incorporated into their practice. The impact therapeutic play makes can also be beneficial for families as it can help the families understand what the children comprehend which can lead to more efficient communication between members of the family. Professionals aim to assist children in reaching optimal outcomes, which in turn has beneficial impacts for the family overall.

Playing is the dominant activity in children's daily life, but is the playground still the place where children have their first encounter with societal roles, norms and values of today’s society, through the act of playing? The playground functions as the place where children are forced to educate themselves, in learning to develop, to make decisions, to solve problems, and to regulate emotions. They look for risks in order to test and explore their physical limits. In this research, I will be focusing on the existing playground in the street of my childhood home aiming to gain understanding as to whether or not the playground still fits the needs of children. Is there still space to discover the basic guidelines of social behaviour and finding out one's personal limits? Looking at today’s playground, I see an over-designed, completely protected, safe-in-the-grid play area which leaves no space for one’s own interpretation and imagination and is not at all a suitable space for testing out your own limits. The play objects are already placed in a concrete form and can only be used in one specific way, eliminating any space for personal initiative. I am curious about how these playground designs arose, and whether there is any kind of communication with children about their needs and desires in the context of play. Which parties decide where and how playgrounds are built in the urban landscape, and why playgrounds are not connected with their urban surroundings, but instead form separated and isolated entities. This detached space often does not meet the demands of the children, resulting in them abandoning the designated playing area, and finding play areas of their own, including streets and abandoned buildings or wastelands, sometimes close to traffic, where they chose to play instead. Making the playground as safe as possible by placing the different kind of play equipment behind a fence is actually resulting in its opposite safety in that the children are looking for a different kind of place to play freely. Aiming to answer these questions, I studied the work of Aldo van Eyck and Bruno Munari, both architects who worked on playgrounds and used primary shapes in urban architecture. I am also focussing on the work of Mariana Brussoni, who writes about the importance of the element of risk in playing, and how this affects a child’s development and social behaviour. For this research, I am working closely together with the municipality and NIJHA Playground Equipment Factory to get a better understanding of the origins of playgrounds. Adding to this research, I conducted many conversations with children from different cities and neighbourhoods, with the aim to find out what the perfect play area is for children and how that fits in the urban landscape, or more specifically, in my own street.

Under våren år 2013 har Emilia Andersson, en designingenjörsstudent på Högskolan i Skövde, utfört ett produktutvecklingsprojekt i samarbete med HAGS Aneby AB. Syftet med projektet var att utveckla en vippgunga vars storlek skulle vara anpassad för barn i åldrarna 1-3 år. Målet var att vippgungan ska kunna säljas över hela världen samt uppfylla den amerikanska standarden och europastandarden för lekredskap. Projektet inleddes med en förstudie och teori-fas, där bland annat litteraturstudie och konkurrentanalys genomfördes och annan information samlades in för att få djupare kunskaper inom ämnet. Därefter började idéer och koncept genereras, som sedan genomgick utvärderingar, så som användartester, vilket ledde till ett slutkoncept. Konceptet utvärderades med hjälp av bland annat hållfasthetsberäkningar och en antropometrisk analys. Den slutgiltiga vippgungan kan trots anpassningen för åldersgruppen, inte bara användas av 1-3-åringar utan också av äldre barn, tack vare att konstruktion och framförallt handtag ger extra lekvärden.During the spring of 2013, Emilia Andersson, a student in product design engineering at University of Skövde, carried out a product development project in cooperation with HAGS Aneby AB. The aim of the project was to develop a seesaw adapted for children aged 1-3 years. The goal was to develop a seesaw that could be sold worldwide and meet the American standard and European standard for playground equipment. The project began with a pre study and a theory phase, which included literature review and competitor analysis and information were gathered to gain a deeper knowledge of the subject. Later on ideas and concepts were generated, which then through evaluations as user testing lead to a final concept. The concept was evaluated with for example strength calculations and an anthropometric analysis. The final seesaw can, despite adjustment for the age group, not only be use by 1-3-year-olds, but also by older children, this thanks to the design and the handles that provide extra play values.

The underlying analysis was based on the main export-related difficulties of M&E producers, requirements of German M&E buyers as well as on currently existing export support structures. The developed plan defines specific measures and activities related to distinct support topics that should ensure an appropriate preparation of companies seeking to enter the German market. Although the plan represents a general framework that can be applied to any M&E subsector, this report will focus on the application of this plan to the subsector of metal-working machinery and machine tools.

Visual experience is a powerful pedagogic tool. Extensive use of experimental studies prior to design and construction has made conceptualization of complex structures possible. Experiments on reduced-scale structures and specimens are also vital tools for teaching structural mechanics. As such, the Department of Civil Engineering at Virginia Tech has acquired a new apparatus for use as an educational demonstration tool in the area of structural mechanics. This work presents the results of a detailed study on the performance of this device as related to its accuracy and operation.
To fulfill such objectives, two structural models (a continuous beam and a portal frame) were extensively tested under several loading and support configurations. The models were analysed using STRUDL as well as a computer program developed by the author. The comparison of the results (deformations) obtained in the two phases of the study have indicated that the apparatus is reasonably accurate to meet the requirements of a structural teaching model and adapting to a variety of structural models.Master of Science

Sanden international, an automobile air conditioning compressor manufacturer, was facing a problem in its incoming material inspection procedures. Although the company had designed and was using its own sampling plan, some managers and supervisors where not confident of its reliability. Sanden recently established a goal for its total number of defects per supplier as one part per million. Achievement of this target required reviews of the existing sampling plan. The purpose of this project was to help Sandra identify the best alternatives for its incoming material inspection procedures. To do that considerations were made about the usefulness of sampling inspections, theoretical aspects of inspection sampling plans were examined, current sampling plans were analyzed and recommendations were made.

Thesis (MTech (Business Administration))--Peninsula Technikon, 2001Maintenance of locomotives is the main function of Bellville Locomotive Traction Depot in the Western Cape. Therefore, it is important to have a sound maintenance plan in place, to prevent a negative impact on the availability and reliability of locomotive supply for hauling power to train services. The purpose of the research is to determine the causes of the increased frequency of maintenance through a case study relating to 35-class locomotives. The abnormal increased frequency of wheel change and inter-bogie control repairs on 35-class diesel locomotives is investigated. A research survey was adopted, which included questionnaires and personal interviews based on the literature search. The target group is L&N section, which includes below-deck maintenance, overhaul and change out, repairs to locomotive bogies, frames, wheels, snubbers, inter-bogie control and traction motors. Sixteen people are responsible for all below-deck repairs and service of 52 locomotives. The results of the research will expose the shortcomings of the maintenance plan and propose solutions. This will be achieved by testing the effectiveness of the existing maintenance plan at Spoornet through the identification of the causes for the abnormal increase in wheel changes and inter-bogie control repairs on 35-class diesel locomotives. The outcome from this case study research will be to quantify the benefits arising from the effective application of a maintenance plan.

Thesis (MBA)--Stellenbosch University, 2014.ENGLISH ABSTRACT: Mobile lifter (ML) is a product that is used to lift loads or materials ranging from 20–600 kilograms (kg), and to move the loads to anywhere within the factory up to a height of 2.3 metres (m). The ML is ideal for loads heavier than human comfort, dangerous to touch by hands, requiring repetitive moving and not heavy enough for a forklift. As the need for labour rises and manufactures want to increase productivity, the ML becomes the solution. Currently, there is no company that specialises in ML, and that provides good service to the customers. HELM intends filling that gap in the markets. HELM plans to acquire exclusive distribution rights with a European base supplier of MLs. HELM will become the distributor of MLs in Southern Africa. HELM will have its base or office in Cape Town (CT), but also secure subcontractors in three other provinces, namely Gauteng, KwaZulu- Natal (KZN), and the Eastern Cape (EC). HELM will sell products from its supplier partner and it will offer services and a maintenance plan to its clients at a competitive rate. The ML can be used in manufacturing, wholesale, the retail trade and motor trade, and transport and storage. The three sectors account for over 35 percent of South Africa’s gross domestic product. The manufacturing sector is the largest sector with many industries. The most attractive industries are the fast moving consumer goods, automotive, pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing industries. Although the industry or market is fragmented, Gauteng has the largest target market with over 9000 registered manufacturing enterprise. It is followed by KwaZulu-Natal, then the Western Cape and finally the Eastern Cape. The ML industry is still in its infancy, and HELM Solutions intend to sell 25 units in the first year, 33 in the second and then 36 in the third year. The current distributors of MLs only have one point of service per distributor in South Africa and MLs are non-core products for them. HELM also intends differentiating itself from other distributors by being a solution provider to clients, and not a product distributor. HELM wants to understand the clients’ business, understand their needs, and provide them with solution that will also increase their profit. This should give HELM a competitive advantage and make it difficult for clients to substitute the HELM products and service. Franck Tshilombo is one of the three entrepreneurs who will be directly involved in the business. He will start as the only employee of the business. He has been working with MLs for the past four years. His experience ranges from selling and marketing to ordering, assembling, service and maintenance of MLs. Kevin French brings experience in the financial field of investments. He holds a B Com degree and is a CFA charter holder. He has 25 years combined experience in financial services at large corporates and smaller entrepreneurial start-ups. He owns an investment management business and two paint distribution businesses. His experience includes starting new businesses, takeovers and turnarounds in financial services, and construction and electrical engineering. Collin Ramukhubathi who has a mechanical engineering degree and is an MBA candidate, has 15 years working experience in general management in construction and the mining sector. HELM Solutions require funding for fixed assets and working capital. The fixed asset will be funded by shareholders in the form of assets worth R30 000 and cash of R15 000. The amount of external funding required is R154 000. The desired funding should be in the form of an overdraft loan, as not all the funds will be needed in the beginning. This funding will be used towards the monthly expenses for the period of three months and towards increases in sales within the first five months. The funds will be needed during sales growth as the cash conversion cycle of the business is long. The overdraft loan is based on the interest rate of 12 percent. Based on these estimates, the loan will be fully repaid within 11 months.

The aim of this thesis is to create a viable business plan for a new production company. This company will specialize in manufacturing swimming pool equipment that shall increase the standard of services provided by aqua-establishments. The target market is aqua-establishments (indoor swimming pools, hotel pools a spas) in Europe. The theoretical part deals with general principles of creating a business plan, presents potential users and characterizes its structure. The applied part introduces a specific business plan. Strong emphasis is given on description of competitive advantage, on marketing strategy and on financial plan. Financial plan includes evaluation of effectiveness of the project as well as evaluation of viability of the project.

The boost of the need in semiconductor equipment has brought Varian, a giant in semiconductor manufacturer an increasing demand period. Unsatisfactory on-time delivery in the subassembly production in SMKT, however, has gradually become a critical issue that prevents the production from operating smoothly and efficiently as well as resulting in significant amount of extra financial costs. While the SMKT ontime delivery is generally improved from the two aspects, the material shortage issue and the capacity and priority issue, the second approach was focused, analyzed and well resolved in this thesis. Capacity analysis indicates that more manpower is needed to fulfill the production demand, and an analysis tool based on Excel was created to help with capacity management and planning in a long term. A series of matching algorithms was designed to solve the prioritization issue by providing efficient work plans that direct the production in SMKT assembly process, improving the SMKT on-time delivery by 10-20% and shortening the shop order cycle time in assembly process by one day. Moreover, recommendations on data utilization, capacity management and resources management in SMKT are provided accordingly to optimize the SMKT production to be more proficient and well-organized, which will greatly benefit Varian in the long term. The implementation of this algorithm generates no financial cost except for increasing the assembler's capacity, which indicates that all solutions provided in this thesis are economic and effective at the same time.

Thesis (MBA)--Stellenbosch University, 2008.ENGLISH ABSTRACT: Clear Blue International (pty) Ltd (CBI) is a swimming pool construction company that is in need of a high performance swimming pool pump in order to offer a competitive tender for the construction of an intricate swimming pool at a prestigious resort. There is one supplier of this particular pump in South Africa and due to their sole distributorship and the pump's technical specifications, it is sold at a very expensive price. The result being that CBI can't offer a competitive tender by this means, instead they need to source the pump from another source at a lower price. It was decided to develop a project plan to facilitate the importation process, which is the outcome of this study. A thorough analysis of project management is conducted and incorporated into the importation process. The study takes into consideration the intricacy of the importation process and how this can be facilitated by project management that will lead to success for CBI. CBI recognises that in order to stand out in a highly competitive industry they need to re-invent themselves by new and innovative means in order to stand out from the rest. Project management has proven to be the means by which they can add value to their corporate image. This study provides a useful template that can be of benefit to other importers that wish to use project management and it can be adjusted accordingly to a particular commodity and importers requirements.
AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: Clear Blue International (Edms) Bpk (CBI) is 'n swembad konstruksie-maatskappy. Hulle benodig 'n hoe verrigting pomp met die oog op 'n mededingende tender vir die bou van 'n ingewikkelde swembad-konstruksie by 'n toonaangewende oord. Daar is huidiglik net een verskaffer van hierdie spesifieke pomp in Suid-Afrika en vanwee hulle alleen-verspreiding, plus die pomp se spesifieke tegniese spesifikasies, word dit teen 'n baie hoe prys verkoop. CBI kan tans nie 'n mededingende tender verskaf nie en wil daarom die pomp eers teen 'n laer prys vanuit 'n ander oord bekom. Die besluit was dus om 'n projek-plan te inisieer om die invoer-proses te vergemaklik, wat die resultaat van hierdie studie is. 'n Deeglike analise van projek bestuur is aangevoer en by die invoer-proses geinkorporeer. Hierdie studie neem ook die ingewikkeldheid van die invoer-proses in ag en hoe projek bestuur dit kan vergemaklik en sodoende kan bydra tot die sukses vir CBI. El presente proyecto se centra en la empresa Kar & Ma S.A.C. dedicada a la producción de sal yodada para el consumo humano y posterior comercialización principalmente a la selva y sierra del país. Dentro de sus 2 líneas de producción y 10 principales productos el de mayor demanda y producción es el de la marca Salina de ½ kg que se procesa en la línea de sal seca, por lo que nos centraremos en ésta para el desarrollo de la propuesta. En el área de producción se presentan continuamente fallas en los equipos, principalmente en la línea seca debido a un inadecuado sistema de mantenimiento que ocasiona pérdidas económicas por reparaciones, mano de obra, así como dinero no percibido por sacos no producidos, recalcando además que el tiempo de vida útil de las máquinas es menor, teniendo éste un impacto económico a largo plazo. Para la ejecución de ésta investigación se diagnosticó la situación actual de la empresa y se planteó la propuesta de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo basado en indicadores OEE, para ello se realizó un listado de los equipos en la línea de sal seca, codificación y ficha técnica de los mismos, luego se procedió a determinar las horas de falla de las máquinas para determinar las más críticas mediante el diagrama de Pareto, posteriormente se determinó sus medidas preventivas analizando su falla funcional (problema) y modo de fallo (causa), por último se evaluó el plan de mantenimiento preventivo propuesto mediante el indicador OEE comparando los indicadores actuales y los propuestos. De acuerdo a la implementación del plan de mantenimiento preventivo el indicador OEE aumentó de 55,8% a 91,08% en el mes de enero, de 37,26% a 89,70% en el mes de febrero, de 34,8% a 91,33% en el mes de marzo, de 32,45% a 87,60 en el mes de abril, de 40,08% a 92,82% en el mes de mayo y finalmente de 49,94% a 91,77% en el mes de junio. En otras palabras, tenemos una aumentó del 35,27% en el mes de enero, de 52,43% en el mes de febrero, de 56,48% en el mes de marzo, de 55,14% en el mes de abril, de 52,83 en el mes de mayo y por último de 41,83 en el mes de junio. Finalmente se elaboró un análisis costo-beneficio del plan de mantenimiento preventivo donde se concluyó que el proyecto tendrá una inversión de 27 815,7, un costo beneficio de 1,9 soles y un periodo de recuperación de 6 meses y 24 días siendo un proyecto viable y rentable para la empresa.

The thesis entitled "Ecological Environmental Complex of Catalão: implementation and territorialization of parks in the urban network" had as general objective to analyze the implementation of urban parks from the 2004 and 2016 Catalão Master Plans. In the first chapter we did a theoretical review of the concept of territory, power, urban planning and urban parks. In the second chapter the objective was to map the distribution of the urban parks of Catalão (GO), identifying their landscape contents and their infrastructure equipment, through field work. The third chapter aimed to understand the implementation of public policies for urban planning in Catalão (GO) proposed from 2004 to 2016, regarding the creation and maintenance of urban parks. Finally, we conclude that urban equipment was distributed in urban space in an irregular manner due to several factors of both natural and social order and questionable management during the period studied.
A Dissertação intitulada “Complexo Ecológico Ambiental de Catalão: implementação e territorialização dos parques na malha urbana” teve como objetivo geral analisar a implementação dos parques urbanos a partir dos planos diretores de Catalão 2004 e 2016. No primeiro capítulo fizemos uma revisão teórica dos conceito de território, poder, planejamento urbano e parques urbanos. No segundo capítulo o objetivo foi mapear a distribuição dos parques urbanos de Catalão (GO), identificando seus conteúdos paisagísticos e seus equipamentos de infraestrutura, através de trabalho de campo. O terceiro capítulo teve como objetivo compreender a implementação das políticas públicas de planejamento urbano de Catalão (GO) propostas no período de 2004 a 2016, referentes a criação e manutenção do parques urbanos. Por fim chegamos a conclusão que os equipamentos urbanos foram distribuídos no espaço urbano de forma irregular devido a vários fatores tanto de ordem natural, quanto de ordem social, e pelas gestões questionáveis no período estudado.

The thesis also contains a description of other objels with time and financial planning. It is designed and described the construction site equipment, the composition of machinery for construction and the design of the supply of material resources.

Purpose: To develop a Ray Cast/Dose Superposition (RC/DS) algorithm for proton grid therapy. Its functionality needed to include automatic positioning of small proton pencil beams in a grid-pattern and superimposing thin beam Monte Carlo (MC) dose distribution data on a Computer Tomography (CT) density volume. The purpose was to calculate and store un-weighted volumetric dose distributions of individual proton energies for subsequent optimization. Materials & Methods: Using the programming language Python 3.6, CT and Volume Of Interest (VOI) data of various patients and phantoms were imported. The target VOI was projected to either two or four planes, corresponding to the number of used gantry positions. Rays were then traced through the CT voxels, which were converted from Hounseld Units to density using a look up table, to calculate Water Equivalent Distance and proton energy needed to reach the proximal and distal edge of the target volume. With automated grid-pattern beam positioning, thin beam MC calculated depth dose distribution files were interpolated, scaled and superimposed on the CT volume for all beamlet positions. The algorithm reliability was tested on several CT image sets, the proton range estimation compared to a commercial TPS and the depth dose interpolation analyzed using MC simulations. Results: The RC/DS algorithm computation time was on average around 6 hours and 30 minutes for each CT set. The dose distribution output visually conformed to target locations and maintained a grid pattern for all tested CT sets. It gave unwanted dose artifacts in situations when rays outside the beamlet center passed a significant length of low/high density regions compared to the center, which yielded dose distributions of unlikely shape. Interpolating MC dose distribution values showed comparability to true MC references of same energy, yielding results with 0.5% difference in relative range and dose. Conclusions: The developed algorithm provides unweighted dose distributions specific for small beam proton grid therapy and has been shown to work for various setups and CT data. Un-optimized code caused longer computation times then intended but was presumed faster than MC simulations of the same setup. Efficiency and accuracy improvements are planed for in future work.Proton grid therapy group

The aim of this diploma thesis is the preparation of a constructional-technology study into the realization of carcass industry hall in the village Moravany u Brna. An itemized budget has been created for the framework alongside a proposal for the main building mechanisms, time management, health and safety plan and environmental management. The thesis is focused on detailed realization of the precast concrete frame which outlines technological regulation and inspection and a trial plan. The thesis further deals with site equipment, possible public transport routes into specific areas and how the main technological stages are developed. In creation of this thesis were used constructional-technological softwares BuildPowerS, CONTEC, ArchiCAD, AutoTurn, Vehicle Tracking and Hluk+9.
