En el marco de un proyecto de acción social de la Universidad de Costa Rica que surgió al iniciar la década del 2010, y en colaboración con Radio Universidad, Macarena Barahona y Mónica Perea condujeron un programa de radio llamado Verso y acorde en voz alta, un espacio para la lectura de poesía en la voz de sus propios autores, con el objetivo de rescatar las voces de poetas, principalmente nacionales y latinoamericanos, aunque también se realizaron programas con autores de otras partes del mundo.
La publicación del poemario Tatuaje de Eulalia Bernard Little, motivó la visita de Macarena Barahona a la casa de la poetisa para grabar la lectura de algunos de sus más recientes poemas el 2 de junio del 2011, en su casa de habitación en San Pedro de Montes de Oca. La grabación la realizó el productor de Radio Universidad, Leo León. La poesía de Eulalia es una poesía disruptiva con respecto a la literatura costarricense de los años 70 y 80. Ella fue una voz contestataria, una voz poderosa, una mujer de familias migrantes de Jamaica; hizo de su poesía una bandera contra el racismo, contra la segregación, contra el patriarcado.

El artículo da cuenta del desarrollo de estrategias comunicativas: melodías de mi tierra, nos divertimos dramatizando y comunicándonos, la hora poética, el mundo de las tertulias y somos reporteros; en los programas de radio; para fortalecer la competencia se comunica oralmente en su lengua materna de los estudiantes de primero a sexto de la Institución Educativa. El enfoque metodológico aplicado fue el cuantitativo, con un diseño pre-experimental, transversal, descriptivo, con la participación de una muestra de 70 estudiantes seleccionados mediante métodos no probabilísticos, los cuales fueron observados con la aplicación de una rúbrica, validada por juicio de expertos y prueba de confiabilidad del alfa de Cronbach, finalmente los resultados fueron trabajados mediante hojas de cálculo de Microsoft Excel 2019 y programa estadístico SPSS V25, presentándose los datos en tablas y gráficos con la finalidad de ser analizados, usando para ello la estadística descriptiva. Se obtuvo el 60% de estudiantes que alcanzaron el nivel de logro esperado y el 20% nivel destacado. Se concluye que las estrategias comunicativas usando la herramienta didáctica, programas de radio; permitió a los estudiantes desarrollen la competencia se comunica oralmente en su lengua materna.

Este articulo tiene como objetivo analizar la mediación de la radio para recatar y promocionar la experiencia de diferentes jóvenes que han tenido que iniciar y desarrollar emprendimientos durante la crisis sanitaria provocada por la pandemia de la covid19 a principios del año 2020. El estudio se realizó a través de un programa radial informativo (local), teniendo en cuenta que los medios de comunicación, propician notablemente el desarrollo comercial, industrial y empresarial. Igualmente se pretende resaltar la importancia del aporte de difusión por parte de los medios de comunicación, para hacer conocer las diferentes actividades, servicios y productos que ofrecen los jóvenes de la ciudad de Pilar, capital del departamento de Ñeembucú, a fin de promover la economía local. Se aplicó la metodología cualitativa, utilizando técnicas como la entrevista a los emprendedores de esta ciudad. Los resultados de la presente investigación dan cuenta que los emprendedores aplicaron los procesos de desarrollo de sus emprendimientos acorde a lo mencionado por Gómez Mejía, Pereira, Laverde & Cadet,(2010), y otros. Además, gran parte de los mismos lograron sostener, crecer y potenciar las actividades emprendidas mediante el apoyo a través de las entrevistas difundidas por la radio, así también, con esta investigación, se logró identificar el rol que cumplen los medios de comunicación, con relación a los emprendedores que surgieron en pandemia.

En este artículo se analiza el desarrollo de la Astronomía, Astrofísica, Ciencias Espaciales y otras áreas de la Ciencia; y el sistema educativo público costarricense y aportes importantes del Planetario de San José de la Universidad de Costa Rica durante una década de su creación; se incluye su relación con la administración de la educación en distintos escenarios históricos, políticos, culturales y sociales costarricenses. También, se hace un breve recuento sobre el nacimiento del curso Fundamentos de Astronomía y su reestructuración; y su correlación con los programas científicos y educativos que se elaboran y exhiben en el Planetario de San José de la Universidad de Costa Rica. Finalmente, se hace un análisis sobre distintas características del Planetario de San José y su conexión con la administración de la educación, según los planteamientos de la Unión Astronómica Internacional (International Astronomical Union [IAU], 2012) y el Programa Estado de la Nación (2014), en el marco de la sociedad costarricense actual.

ResumoO presente trabalho analisa as produções bibliográficas pesquisadas em duas bases de dados contendo produtos científicos, sobre o uso da rádio escolar enquanto recurso tecnológico caracterizada como ferramenta histórico e social, relevante no meio educativo e para a organização docente do processo de ensino e aprendizagem na educação básica, numa linha de pensamento sociointeracionista. Originou-se no projeto intitulado: “O uso da rádio por professores e estudantes de três escolas municipais de Campo Grande – MS: uma alternativa tecnológica para o ensino de ciências”, aprovado no Programa Stricto sensu Mestrado em Ensino de Ciências e Matemática da Universidade para o Desenvolvimento da região do Pantanal – Uniderp-Anhanguera, cujo objetivo geral é analisar o uso da mídia rádio e seu papel na aprendizagem de estudantes da educação básica de três escolas municipais da cidade mencionada. Desenvolvido no método da pesquisa qualitativa, constitui-se, portanto, um trabalho de levantamento bibliográfico. As análises e discussões dos objetos científicos encontrados mostraram que no banco de periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES, foram encontrados 30 produtos científicos sobre o referido tema, e no GT – 16; Grupo de Trabalho 16: Comunicação, da Associação Nacional da Pós-graduação em Educação - ANPED; 23 trabalhos, num recorte de 2015 a 2019. Concluiu-se que, embora 53 objetos entre artigos, teses e dissertações tangenciem o uso da rádio no contexto educativo, nenhum desses investiga a mídia rádio em escolas de Campo Grande – MS. AbstractThe present work analyzes the bibliographic productions researched in two databases containing scientific products, about the use of school radio as a technological resource characterized as a historical and social tool, relevant in the educational environment and for the teaching organization of the teaching and learning process in education basic, in a line of sociointeractionist thinking. It originated in the project entitled: “The use of radio by teachers and students from three municipal schools in Campo Grande - MS: a technological alternative for science teaching”, approved in the Stricto sensu Master's Program in Science and Mathematics Teaching at the University for the Development of the Pantanal region - UNIDERP-Anhanguera, whose general objective is to analyze the use of radio media and its role in the learning of basic education students from three municipal schools in the city mentioned. Developed in the method of qualitative research, it therefore constitutes, a work of bibliographic survey. The analyzes and discussions of the scientific objects found showed that in the database of journals of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - CAPES, 30 scientific products were found on the referred topic, and in GT - 16; Working Group 16: Communication, from the National Association of Graduate Studies in Education - ANPED; 23 works, in a clipping from 2015 to 2019. It was concluded that, although 55 objects between articles, theses and dissertations affect the use of radio in the educational context, none of these investigates radio media in schools in Campo Grande - MS. Radio Nepal, as the pioneering radio broadcaster of the country, has played a crucial role in serving its listeners for over seven decades. In the earlier years, it was the sole medium of information, education, and entertainment, particularly for rural communities, before the advent of television and FM radios. As a national broadcaster, Radio Nepal has assumed significant national duties and responsibilities that set it apart from other media outlets. In response to the evolving socio-political landscape, Radio Nepal has bolstered its multilingual or inclusive broadcasting by incorporating more native languages into its programming. Currently, it broadcasts news and programs in 21 different languages, in addition to Nepali, aiming to address the linguistic diversity of the nation. This research aims to fill this knowledge gap and assess the impact of Radio Nepal's inclusive broadcasting from the listener's perspective. To measure the effectiveness, the research conducted a survey based on Radio Nepal's initiative to evaluate its inclusive broadcasting. The findings reveal that Radio Nepal's inclusive broadcasting has been highly effective. Listeners from diverse linguistic communities have shown a growing interest in news and programs broadcast in their native languages. Moreover, broadcasting has successfully transcended linguistic boundaries, reaching beyond specific communities, thereby contributing to the conservation and respect of different languages by the state and society.

Abstract We present the analysis of the magnetic field (B-field) structure of galaxies measured with far-infrared (FIR) and radio (3 and 6 cm) polarimetric observations. We use the first data release of the Survey of extragALactic magnetiSm with SOFIA of 14 nearby ( < 20 Mpc) galaxies with resolved ( 5 ″ – 18 ″ ; 90 pc–1 kpc) imaging polarimetric observations using SOFIA/HAWC+ from 53 to 214 μm. We compute the magnetic pitch-angle ( Ψ B ) profiles as a function of the galactocentric radius. We introduce a new magnetic alignment parameter (ζ) to estimate the disordered-to-ordered ratio of spiral B-fields. We find FIR and radio wavelengths to not generally trace the same B-field morphology in galaxies. The Ψ B profiles tend to be more ordered across all galactocentric radii in radio ( ζ 6 cm = 0.93 ± 0.03 ) than in FIR ( ζ 154 μ m = 0.84 ± 0.14 ). For spiral galaxies, FIR B-fields are 2%–75% more turbulent than the radio B-fields. For starburst galaxies, we find that FIR polarization is a better tracer of the B-fields along the galactic outflows than radio polarization. Our results suggest that the B-fields associated with dense, dusty, turbulent star-forming regions (those traced at FIR) are less ordered than warmer, less dense regions (those traced at radio) of the interstellar medium. The FIR B-fields seem to be more sensitive to the activity of the star-forming regions and molecular clouds within a vertical height of a few hundred parsecs in the disk of spiral galaxies than the radio B-fields.

This work is a continuation of the study of the response of the Odesa geomagnetic anomaly to the manifestations of solar and planetary geomagnetic activity. Not far from the territory of this magnetic anomaly there is the geomagnetic observatory "Odesa" and the decameter radio telescope "URAN-4" of the RI NASU. A catalogue of magnetic storms for the period 1987-1994 and 2000-2009 was compiled for the monitoring program of high-power space radio sources at RT "URAN-4" using the database of the geomagnetic observatory "Odesa". In this paper, a comparative analysis of the features of the manifestations of geomagnetic storms in the zone of the Odesa magnetic anomaly, planetary storms and ionospheric storms in the 22nd and 23rd cycles of solar activity is carried out. The main results are as follows. The magnetic anomaly amplifies the effects of regional manifestations of planetary magnetic storms. The number of different types of magnetic storms and the dynamics of their changes in the Odesa anomaly differ significantly in the 22nd and 23rd cycles of solar activity. Comparisons have shown that the duration of magnetic storms in the Odessa anomaly is longer than the duration of planetary magnetic and ionospheric storms. According to the data of the «URAN-4» radio telescope, geomagnetic storms form various manifestations of the effects of ionospheric flickers and flux changes for space radio sources depending on the time of their observations. For the region of the Odesa geomagnetic anomaly, such comprehensive studies have not been carried out before. The conducted studies will become an important basis for understanding the influence of magnetic anomalies on the dynamics of the ionosphere during periods of solar and geomagnetic activity.

AbstractSince its commissioning in 1981 the Molonglo Observatory Synthesis Telescope has been used by the Astrophysics Department in the University of Sydney for many astronomical programs. These include completed surveys of both Magellanic Clouds made to study their SNR and HII content. The SNR work is essentially complete with 55 remnants identified and firm indications that the previously assumed evolution of a typical SNR (if such exists!) is incompatible with observation. The cataloguing and analysis of the HII regions and planetary nebulae data is complete in the SMC but barely started in the LMC. Other observing programs include the mapping of southern radio and ‘normal’, galaxies, the study of variable sources, ‘deep mapping’ of a selection of far southern fields for cosmological studies, studies of mass loss stars, the Galactic centre and a general survey of a strip along the Galactic plane as a long term program. In addition, advantage has been taken of the ‘real-time’ beams for pulsar studies and for the development of a ‘transient event recorder’ to permit a search for pulsed or other rapidly varying phenomena during normal map synthesis. Some of these programs have been completed but the majority are still in progress.

AbstractThis paper outlines the extensive range of public programs offered by the Carter Observatory, including ‘public nights’, new planetarium and audio-visual shows, displays, the Carter Memorial Lectures, the annual Astronomical Handbook and other publications, a monthly newspaper column and three monthly radio programs. It also deals with the Observatory’s involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate astronomy at Victoria University of Wellington, various adult education training programs, ‘Overnight Extravaganzas’, holiday programs, and the recent development of the Education Service in response to the introduction of an astronomy curriculum into schools throughout New Zealand. Some possible future developments in the public astronomy and education areas are also discussed.

K-Pass FM Radio Katapang is one of the radios disseminating information about disasters that focuses on training, awareness, and understanding of the people of Katapang Regency to play a role in dealing with disasters and help reduce disaster risk as well. This study aimed to determine the dissemination pattern of disaster information based on community radio conducted by Radio K-Pass FM Katapang. The research used a qualitative approach through case studies research methods. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and literature studies. Informants amount six people consist of resource persons consisting of community radio administrators, people who feel the impact of the existence of community radio, and people who take part in community radio programs. The study results showed that the dissemination of disaster information on Radio K-Pass FM Katapang increased the awareness of the local community about the dangers of disasters. The disaster information on K-Pass FM Radio Katapang went through three stages: the pattern of dissemination of disaster mitigation information (pre), the pattern of disseminating information when the disaster occurred (in), and post-disaster information (past). This community radio also established a Rescue School that aims to provide knowledge and actions that the community can carry out when a disaster occurs. This study concludes that Radio K-Pass FM Katapang has succeeded in becoming a community radio that positively impacts society, especially in disseminating information related to disasters. Therefore, Radio K-Pass FM Katapang still exists today even though it has been around for a long.

Previous studies using Kepler data suggest that planets orbiting the same star tend to have similar sizes. However, due to the faintness of the stars, only a few of the planets were also detected with radial velocity follow-ups, and therefore the planetary masses were mostly unknown. It is therefore yet to be determined whether planetary systems indeed behave like “peas in a pod”. Follow-up programs of TESS targets significantly increased the number of confirmed planets with mass measurements, allowing for a more detailed statistical analysis of multi-planet systems. In this work we explore the similarity in radii, masses, densities, and period ratios of planets within planetary systems. We show that planets in the same system that are similar in radii could be rather different in mass and vice versa, and that typically the planetary radii of a given planetary system are more similar than the masses. We also find a transition in the peas in a pod pattern for planets more massive than ~100 M⊕ and larger than ~10 R⊕. Planets below these limits are found to be significantly more uniform. We conclude that other quantities, such as density, may be crucial to fully understanding the nature of planetary systems and that, due to the diversity of planets within a planetary system, increasing the number of detected systems is crucial for understanding the exoplanetary demographics.

Motivacija za bavljenje tematikom obrazovanja u penalnim ustanovama proizašla je iz potrebe da se analiziraju aktuelni obrazovni programi u SAD-u, Švedskoj i Srbiji kako bi se uvidele progresivne ideje i radilo na jačanju obrazovne platforme u ustanovama za izvršenje krivičnih sankcija Republike Srbije. Kao polazne osnove iznete su istorijska perspektiva i zakonska regulativa obrazovanja u zatvorima. Metodom analize sadržaja istraženi su obrazovni programi koji se realizuju u SAD-u, zemlji sa najvećim brojem obrazovnih programa za odrasle osuđenike, i u Švedskoj, zemlji poznatoj po progresivnim obrazovnim idealima. Primenom komparativne analize zaključuje se da su obrazovni programi osuđenika u Švedskoj primer koji treba da prate penalne ustanove u Srbiji. Treba slediti ideju visokog vrednovanja obrazovanja i ulaganja u modernizaciju obrazovnih programa. Dalje bavljenje ovom temom zahteva nastavak teorijskih i empirijskih istraživanja, a njih bi trebalo usmeriti ka ispitivanju obrazovnih potreba zatvorenika i motivacije osuđenih lica za učestvovanje u obrazovnim programima.

La metodología, basada en los valores clave de la recuperación, permite que los/as participantes sean cada vez más protagonistas, tanto en el programa como en sus vidas. Ellos/as mismos/as nos cuentan su experiencia a través de un debate en directo en una de sus emisiones. Valoran la experiencia como muy positiva, siendo una actividad significativa en su proyecto vital.

Astronomy, unlike most other sciences, arouses great curiosity amongst laypeople. It is a subject that can be described relatively easily in public lectures. Distinguished astronomers like James Jeans and Arthur Eddington in the past and many more in recent times have “stooped down” to the public level to share the excitement of astronomical discoveries. Today, the popularization program normally proceeds in four different ways — through popular articles, public lectures, planetarium shows, and radio – TV programs. However, this overwhelming public interest in astronomy brings its own difficulties. Not all of it is motivated by a scientific interest! Many persons read mystic significance into astronomical findings. Many more are guided by astrological interest. Many fail to perceive the scientific basis for astronomy, a subject whose laboratory is the whole cosmos with objects too remote to be subject to scientific experimentation.

Desenvolvido nos moldes de um programa de rádio comunitária, o Programa Bela Praia se propõe a ser um instrumento de valorização e difusão da cultura local ao respeitar os costumes, gêneros e a cultura dos moradores locais. Com uma linguagem simples, clara e ampla o programa traz informações de turismo, segurança, saúde, desenvolvimento local, dentre outros. A comunidade está inserida na construção e na continuidade deste projeto que fortalecerá os laços sociais, econômicos e culturais da região das ARNOS.
Based on the intention of giving voice to the citizen and exercising the constitutional and democratic right of free communication, this project seeks to create a radio program aimed at the community of the Northwest Region of Palmas, known as ARNOS. Developed in the molds of a community radio program, the Bela Praia Program proposes to be an instrument of valorization and diffusion of local culture by respecting the customs, genres and culture of the local residents. With a simple, clear, and broad language, the program brings information about tourism, security, health, local development, among others. The community is inserted in the construction and continuity of this project that will strengthen the social, economic, and cultural ties of the ARNOS region.

Mass media producers’ awareness about gender equity has remained questionable, even regarded as not presenting gender equity as expected. This study attempts to focus on how the production of news programs in Radio Sonora Semarang regarding the issue of gender equality, particularly to what extent the role of women in the process of radio program production. Using a qualitative approach and conducting interviews with Radio Sonora's journalists and the production program team, the findings have revealed that Radio Sonora Semarang highly upholds the values of gender equality in the production process of its programs. There has been mutual respect amongst media workers both men and women in the radio Sonora during program production process. Indeed, women can take roles equally to men without leaving their nature as women.

Dominantan oblik distribucije radijskog programa u Republici Hrvatskoj i dalje je zemaljska distribucija analognog signala. Međutim, digitalno doba nudi alternativu, poput internetske distribucije i digitalnog radija (DAB+). Prva faza konvergencije hrvatske radiodifuzije dovršena je već samom uspostavom radijskih mrežnih stranica koje zahvaljujući streamingu mogu distribuirati sadržaj svagdje gdje postoji pokrivenost internetom. Prva koncesija za komercijalni DAB+ radio u Republici Hrvatskoj dodijeljena je u veljači 2022., a emitiranje je počelo u kolovozu iste godine. Ključan preduvjet dohvata sadržaja tako distribuiranih radijskih programa jesu digitalni uređaji, poput računala i pametnih telefona, te kućni i automobilski digitalni prijamnici. Rad donosi nalaze istraživanja o migraciji radijskih slušatelja s tradicionalnih uređaja (analognih prijamnika) prema slušanju na digitalnim platformama u Republici Hrvatskoj. Naime, iako nema najava o eventualnom isključenju analogne mreže, može se očekivati da će digitalne opcije za dohvat radijskih programa biti sve više korištene. Prema rezultatima istraživanja, prvog takve vrste u nas, migracija je zasad mala (oko 13 %) i spora, ali kontinuirana. Konvergencija radijskog medija odvija se i onda kada za nju ne postoje strateški određeni preduvjeti jer sazrijevanje generacija koje su odrastale u „oba svijeta” sustavno smanjuje nekadašnji „generacijski jaz” u digitalnim znanjima i kompetencijama, što olakšava tranziciju od analognih prema digitalnim uređajima za slušanje radijskih programa.

Abstract Imaging spectropolarimetry is a new observing mode on the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) aboard the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) that was commissioned in Cycle 30 and is available to HST observers starting in Cycle 31 (i.e., from 2023). It is a technique that is accessible from ground-based observatories, but the superb spatial resolution afforded by HST/ACS combined with the slitless nature of HST/ACS grism spectroscopy opens up the possibility of studying polarized extended emission in a way that is not currently possible even with Adaptive Optics facilities on the ground. This mode could help to study interesting targets including (but not limited to) QSOs, active galactic nucleus and Radio Galaxies, ISM Dust Properties, Pre-Planetary Nebulae, Proto-Planetary and Debris Disks, Supernovae/Supernova Remnants, and solar system objects. This research note presents the preliminary results from the calibration programs used to calibrate imaging spectropolarimetry on HST/ACS.

Radio merupakan salah satu bentuk dari komunikasi masa, karena apa yang dibuat dan dihasilkan oleh media tersebut ditujukan kepada khalayak umum. Pemilihan radio Suara Surabaya tak lepas dari karakteristik program siarannya yang dapat didengar oleh berbagai segmentasi. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari program yang ada di Radio Suara Surabaya salah satunya yakni Muda Luar biasa, program tersebut merupakan wadah bagi remaja dan juga dewasa muda yang memiliki ide maupun gagasan baru dalam berbagai bidang, agar dapat menginspirasi teman – teman seusianya melalui Radio Suara Surabaya yang jangkauannya lebihi luas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh yang ditimbulkan program Muda Luar Biasa Radio Suara Surabaya terhadap minat remaja dalam berwirausaha.
Teori Use and Gratification digunakan dalam penelitian ini, penggunaan teori tersebut karena pengguna media memainkan peran aktif untuk memilih dan menggunakan media terebubut. Dengan kata lain, pengguna media adalah pihak yang aktif dalam proses komunikasi. Adanya sebuah ide ataupun gagasan baru yang disalurkan melalui Program Muda Luar Biasa Radio Suara Surabaya membuat penelitian ini relevan dengan teori Difusi Inovasi, disebutkan dalam teori tersebut, sebuah proses penyebaran ide atau hal – hal baru dalam upaya untuk mengubah suatu masyarakat.

The role of radio has undergone significant developments and changes. One example is Radio Sonora 93.3 FM Bandung. Radio Sonora is a radio that dares to raise the theme of health on one of its radio programs. With this theme, Radio Sonora shows concern for the dynamics of public health. On Radio Sonora, health messages were inserted in the show SONAR (Song Information and Reports). Through this event, listeners will get entertainment through songs and health information packaged attractively. SONAR listeners will feel free to listen to the various entertainments and be educated through the health information they convey. SONAR collaborates with several well-known hospitals in Bandung to make the information presented more convincing and exciting. This study describes how Sonora radio communicates health messages through sonar shows. This research used health communication theory as a basis and was developed through the concept of promoting health programs using radio media. The approach used is qualitative research with a case study method. The subject in this study was Radio Sonora. This research paradigm uses constructivism and descriptive methods. The results of this study show that the SONAR program is carried out with a persuasive approach that emphasizes the character of broadcasting that can persuade broadcast material by combining entertainment with health topics currently popular in the community. The conclusion and benefit of this study are that viewers get better, directed, and direct health knowledge from experts.

Local radio has played a significant role in keeping local cocoa farmers informed about their farming activities. However, the experiences of these local farmers who should be the real owners of community radio have not been captured. It would be possible to increase cocoa production if the experiences of local cocoa farmers were given the attention needed. Using a quantitative research approach, the multi-stage sampling technique was used to select 385 respondents. Data were analyzed using frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviations and Kendall’s coefficient of concordance. Results show that farmers were undecided about their reliance on community radio and the role it plays in disseminating agricultural information. However, they understood the agricultural-related information disseminated on community radio. They agreed that the content and presentation of community radio programs were suitable for them but were undecided on the transmission quality and community involvement. Interference from local leaders was the most severe challenge facing farmers’ use of community radio. In order to improve extension delivery there is a need for policymakers and agricultural extension stakeholders to implement programs that will encourage farmers to set up and rely on community radio as a great alternative source of information for their farming activities. This is also necessary to improve the currently low contact of extension agents with farmers, thus, reducing the extension farmer ratio.

En este trabajo presentamos el estudio de las propiedades estructurales y magnéticas de la composición Gd0,257-xNdxFe0,743 con x=0, 0,1285, 0,257 preparada por Aleamiento mecánico en atmósfera de argón y con tiempo de molienda de 72 horas, usando un molino planetario FRITSCH PULVERISETTE 7 de alta energía. La caracterización magnética y estructural se realizó por Espectroscopia Mössbauer (MS) y Difracción de rayos x (XRD) respectivamente. Los tres difractogramas presentan un pico intenso, correspondientes a la fase α-Fe, su intensidad disminuye a medida que se sustituye el Gd por el Nd, mostrándose la mínima intensidad cuando x=0,257, y a su vez se observa un incremento progresivo en su ancho, estos efectos se atribuyen a la rica presencia de átomos de Nd en los lugares del hierro. Los espectros Mössbauer (EM) se ajustaron con distribuciones de campo hiperfino, sextetos y singletes usando el programa Mosfit. Los espectros muestran que al sustituir los átomos de Gd por los de Nd el orden magnético se afecta de tal manera que aparecen sitios de hierro que muestran desorden magnético.

As informações foram coletadas do diário de campo e analisadas sob o conceito de performatividade linguística da filósofa Judith Butler. O Programa Ouvidores de Vozes configura-se como um espaço de construção de conhecimento e práticas sobre audição das vozes, associada a saberes populares e científicos, contribuindo para o deslocamento de uma identidade estigmatizante para uma de ouvidora e ouvidor de vozes (experts por experiência). Realizar o Programa Ouvidores de Vozes em uma rádio comunitária comprometida com a transformação social, mediante a democratização da comunicação, viabilizou um maior alcance da abordagem do Movimento Internacional de Ouvidores de Vozes para a comunidade muitas vezes aprisionada no discurso psiquiatrizante.

Voice hearers program: visibility of the experience of hearing voices
Abstract: To investigate the Voice Hearers Program as a space for the dissemination of knowledge and visibility on the approach of the International Voice Hearers Movement. This is an intervention research carried out on a radio program from July 2019 to March 2020. The information was collected from the field diary and analyzed in the light of the concept of linguistic performance by the philosopher Judith Butler. The Voice Hearers Program is configured as a space for the popular construction of new knowledge and practices regarding the hearing of voices associated with scientific knowledge, contributing to the shift from a stigmatizing identity to an identity of voice hearers (expert by experience). Carrying out Voice Hearers Program on a community radio committed to social transformation, through the democratization of communication, made possible a greater reach of the International Voice Hearers Movement approach to the community.

La información fue recogida del diario de campo y analizada a la luz del concepto de actuación lingüística de la filósofa Judith Butler. El Programa de Oyentes de Voz se configura como un espacio para la construcción popular de nuevos conocimientos y prácticas sobre la escucha de voces asociadas al conocimiento científico, contribuyendo al cambio de una identidad estigmatizante a una identidad de defensor del pueblo y oyente de voces (experto por experiencia). La realización del Programa de Oyentes de Voz en una radio comunitaria comprometida con la transformación social, a través de la democratización de la comunicación, posibilitó un mayor alcance del acercamiento del Movimiento Internacional de Oyentes de Voz a la comunidad.

AbstractFollowing the progress of Chinese deep space exploration step, since 2006 we started a Mars mission, Yinghuo-1, by join in the Phobos-Grunt mission of Russia. A satellite bus platform and onboard payloads as well as an innovative open-loop radio tracking system have been developed by mission team. Also, together with Russian and German colleagues, we developed a kind of in-beam tracking method for measuring the rotation and nutation of Phobos, and developed the 1st Phobos global gravity field for the mission. We are promoting the Chinese new mission for Mars exploration. Although the joint YH-1 & Phobos-Grunt mission failed, the new techniques and knowledge developed by mission teams may benifit the future missions. In fact, the open-loop technique have been applied into lunar and other planetary missions, and the method in developing Phobos global gravity field will be used in the study of Rosetta mission and future Chinese mission for small body.

Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and child marriage (CM) are some of the worst harmful practices rampant in Ethiopia. Population Media Center-Ethiopia (PMC-E), in partnership with UNICEF and UNFPA, have been broadcasting radio talk shows (RTS) in select regions of the country to address these issues. The main objective of this study was to establish the popularity and relevance of these shows in addressing the issue of FGM and CM. Specific objectives were establishing respondent awareness of the shows, analyzing the knowledge gained from the issues raised in the shows, establishing the convenience of RTS broadcasting times to listeners, and offering suggestions for improvement. The study used a cross-sectional population-based household survey design in which men and women aged 15 – 49 years were interviewed in two phases. A total of 860 respondents in Phase I and 741 in Phase II were interviewed using questionnaires. Data was analyzed descriptively. Findings show that the reach of RTS was not good, attributable to lack of access to radio, mobile phone, or/and lack of electricity or time to listen to the shows. The content, time and presenter skills and creativity were convenient to listeners and the popular topics discussed were FGM, CM, and gender equality. There was a significant difference between people who listened to the shows and those who didn’t in regard to understanding FGM and CM issues. The study recommends government of Ethiopia subsidize the cost of radios purchased by people in target areas as well as promote the use of alternative media to present topics discussed in the RTS.

Untuk mengetahui bagaimana tingkat kepuasan yang diperoleh remaja Surabaya, peneliti menggunakan teori Uses and Gratification disertai dengan metode penelitian bersifat kuantitatif di mana peneliti menggunakan metode survey. Dari data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk menggambarkan kepuasan remaja Surabaya terhadap program siaran “Pagi Kanca Muda” di Radio EBS FM Surabaya. Ada 4 kategori untuk menentukan tingkat kepuasan remaja Surabaya, yaitu kepuasan informasi, kepuasan identitas pribadi, kepuasan integrasi dan interaksi sosial, dan kepuasan hiburan. Kepuasan diukur dengan melihat kesenjangan antara kepuasan yang diharapkan (Gratification Sought) dengan kepuasan yang diperoleh (Gratification Obtained). Dilihat dari perbandingan tabel kepuasan yang diharapkan (GS) dan kepuasan yang diperoleh (GO) setelah mendengarkan progam “Pagi Kanca Muda” di Radio EBS FM Surabaya menunjukkan bahwa skor untuk rata-rata kepuasan lebih besar dari pada rata-rata skor kebutuhan (GS<GO), maka diketahui bahwa telah timbul kepuasan pada remaja Surabaya terhadap program “Pagi Kanca Muda” di Radio EBS FM Surabaya. Selain itu perbedaan antara harapan dan kepuasan remaja Surabaya terhadap program “Pagi Kanca Muda” di Radio EBS FM Surabaya signifikan dan dapat digunakan pada seluruh pendengar yang ada.

La ingeniería mecánica aplica principios de termodinámica, mecánica de fluidos, ciencia de materiales, y análisis estructural, y se encarga de diseñar, construir y mejorar nuevos elementos mecánicos con alto impacto en la sociedad. Desde la parte del diseño mecánico, varios autores han desarrollado metodologías eficientes, sin embargo, encontrar una metodología de diseño para cada uno de los elementos mecánicos existentes es complicado, y más aún, si se complementa el diseño teórico y modelado computarizado de dicho elemento, como es el caso de los engranes planetarios.
Esta investigación tiene por objetivo, realizar los cálculos teóricos referentes a la nomenclatura de un tren de engranajes para posteriormente plantear una metodología de diseño en el software Solidworks®. Las consideraciones iniciales de diseño son; la cremallera tiene un diámetro de 3000 mm, y se requiere una multiplicación de relaciones; por cada vuelta de la cremallera, el sol o engranaje central deberá girar 10 veces, y el espesor de los engranes es de 50 mm. Este sistema de engranajes está diseñado para ser aplicado en un aerogenerador eólico.

Este programa discute temas de Relações Internacionais e é transmitido via Rádio UNAMA FM 105.5 de Belém do Pará, bem como pela internet. Esta experiência universitária é analisada a partir do pensamento de Boaventura de Sousa Santos, em sua perspectiva sobre a Universidade à luz da teoria crítica e da epistemologia do Sul. Para tal, metodologicamente, realizou-se uma revisão bibliográfica sobre a importância da extensão universitária e a utilização de meios de comunicação. Para viabilizá-la, apresenta-se organização e experiência do Programa Globalizando e, analisa-se estas questões a partir do referencial teórico proposto. AbstractSince 2009, the Torun 32 m radio telescope has been used to monitor a sample of ∼140 sources of the 6.7 GHz methanol maser emission. In 2022, the sample was extended to about 250 targets. Approximately three-quarters show variability greater than 10% on timescales of a few weeks to several years. The most significant results are detecting a few flare events and discovering about a dozen periodic variables with periods ranging from a month to a few years. Here, we present the preliminary analysis of the properties of periodic masers.

AbstractThis paper evaluates the COSMOS database as a tool for large-scale automated optical identification programs. Firstly, we explore the limitations inherent in the database by a study of regions centred on clusters of galaxies. We then perform an automated search in the database for a sample of previously measured optical objects and compare the properties of corresponding objects. Finally, we describe a set of new plotting routines in AIPS (Astronomical Image Processing System) designed to plot COSMOS-derived ellipses and, optionally, magnitudes onto radio images.

The purpose of this study to describe and analyze the Management of Educational Broadcast inPrograma 1 (one) Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Pekanbaru viewed from the management functions of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection was done by observation, interview, and documentation. The analysis technique used in this research is by Miles and Huberman method (1992) that is through data reduction process, data presentation, conclusion and triangulation.The results of the study show that the Education Broadcasting Management in Programa 1 (one) Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Pekanbaru has been running well. The first step of planning is a program that runs every year to create educational programs. Next determine the educational broadcast team, broadcaster, educational theme, broadcast schedule and resource person. Resource persons are carefully selected to provide accurate information. Planning in the studio engineering section is done matrang by providing guidance to the lookbook given to the broadcaster as a guide during the broadcast. Organizing educational broadcast in Programa 1 (one) RRI Pekanbaru is done by forming Team by Head of LPP RRI Pekanbaru prepared at the time of program of yearly program or have according to SK respectively if status of civil servant and given authority with clear job description. Implementation of education broadcast In Programa 1 (one) RRI Pekanbaru has been implemented in accordance with Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 Year 2015 on Radio Public Broadcasting Institution of the Republic of Indonesia and KPI regulations on Broadcasting Conduct Manual (P3) of 2012. Supervision in RRI All Indonesia is conducted by Supervisory Board The highest position in RRI. RRI Pekanbaru supervision conducted by the Head of LPP RRI Pekanbaru. La radio es un medio que, aunque clásico, ofrece una gran oportunidad para realizar actividades relacionadas con la educación para la salud, incluso en un tiempo como el actual, en el que puede articularse con nuevas estrategias comunicativas para continuar ofreciendo su versatilidad y calidad informativa.
El programa radial “Sonrisas para la Salud” está orientado a posicionar la salud bucal como un campo de conocimiento en construcción permanente y controversial, que permita trascender el concepto biomédico tradicional de la salud y de la salud bucodental, situándola como componente que no se puede desligar de la salud general.
Esta experiencia radial, demuestra como un programa radial especializado y de carácter divulgativo, puede ofrecer al público la posibilidad de conocer sobre un tema, crear opinión y encontrar posibles soluciones a su situación personal; así mismo, genera impacto en los radioescuchas y empodera las personas para la toma de desiciones positivas en salud. El proceso de retroalimentación se ha constituido como un elemento constante para realizar un plan de mejoramiento oportuno y que permita la vigencia dentro de la parrilla de programas de CES Radio.

El presente artículo expone el trabajo que se ha llevado a cabo en el proyecto de acción social siglas ED-964 Lenguas Modernas a su Alcance. Este proyecto de extensión docente pretende formar a los radioescuchas, mediante un programa radial, no solo en términos léxico-gramaticales del idioma inglés, sino también en aspectos culturales de países de habla inglesa y en temas de interés social relacionados con la realidad costarricense. En este artículo se hace referencia a los antecedentes del proyecto, al uso de la radio en la enseñanza de un segundo idioma y a conceptos relevantes del hacer, quehacer y funcionar del proyecto. Además, se describen el programa, los recursos utilizados, las formas de divulgación del proyecto y la valoración de la experiencia, la cual, de acuerdo con lo expuesto por la representante de un grupo de impacto y las miembros del programa, ha sido muy enriquecedora y con resultados exponenciales, demostrando el alcance del proyecto en términos educativos y de crecimiento social y personal.

The article is dedicated to Professor Vsevolod Nikolaevich Ruzhnikov, Doctor of Philology, whose name is associated with the very first scientific studies of the phenomenon of radio, radiotelegraphy and radiotelephony. The purpose of the author is to recall that Professor Ruzhnikov is the founder of the national scientific school of radio journalism: he comprehended and systematically presented (in the format of textbooks and monographs) the history of radio broadcasting and radio journalism, presented the genre palette of radio programs, studied the functions and principles of radio organizations. He is a co-organizer of the country’s first university department of radio broadcasting and television of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University (now it is called the Department of Television and Radio Broadcasting). The contribution of Vsevolod Nikolaevich Ruzhnikov to editorial and publishing activities is significant; the features of his editing of scientific texts require a separate study. The author of the article, in the past a postgraduate student of the professor, and now the scientific editor of the annual Ruzhnikov Readings at Moscow State University, refers to unstudied materials that are not known to modern media students and young scientists, radio journalists. The facts of the biography of Professor Ruzhnikov reflect the personality of a teacher and a citizen - a bearer of high moral values. The article uses the methods of retrospection, observation and in-depth interviews.

Metode ini menawarkan pendekatan kreatif dengan fokus pada Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Put to another use, Eliminate, dan Reverse. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis konten program. Analisis dilakukan untuk memahami sejauh mana produser memanfaatkan metode SCAMPER dalam memodifikasi ide, format, dan konten program budaya. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang efektivitas metode SCAMPER dalam meningkatkan kreativitas dan daya tarik program budaya di Radio Semeru FM Lumajang.

RESUMO – Os principais canais de televisão espanhóis incorporaram a realidade aumentada em seu conteúdo de assuntos atuais. A Radio Televisión Canaria (RTVC), em programas como ‘Una hora menos’, inclui este elemento narrativo de forma significativa na cobertura jornalística da erupção do vulcão Cumbre Vieja em La Palma (Espanha). Esta pesquisa se concentra em seu uso durante o período de atividade vulcânica e projeta um padrão de análise que estabelece uma classificação das peças transmitidas. Entrevistas em profundidade com profissionais e especialistas em tecnologia da RTVC agregam valor a este estudo. Os resultados mostram que predominam as peças estáticas e imersivas. Na primeira, destaca-se a função informativa e, na segunda, sua natureza didática. A interação do apresentador é limitada. A música está sempre presente e os efeitos sonoros são freqüentes. RTVC ganhou inúmeros prêmios para a melhor cobertura jornalística em 2021. ABSTRACT – The main Spanish television channels have incorporated augmented reality into their information content. Radio Televisión Canaria (RTVC), in programs such as ‘Una hora menos’, significantly includes this narrative element in the news coverage of the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano in La Palma (Spain). This research focuses on its use during the period of activity of the volcano, and designs a pattern of analysis to classify the broadcasted pieces. In-depth interviews with RTVC professionals and technology experts add value to this study. The results show that static and enveloping AR elements predominated. In the former, the informative function stands out, and in the latter, their didactic nature. The anchor’s interaction was limited. Music was always present and sound effects were frequent. RTVC has won numerous awards for the best news coverage in 2021. RESUMEN – Las principales televisiones españolas han incorporado la realidad aumentada a sus contenidos de actualidad. Radio Televisión Canaria (RTVC), en programas como ‘Una hora menos’, incluye este elemento narrativo de manera significativa en la cobertura informativa de la erupción del volcán Cumbre Vieja en La Palma (España). Esta investigación se centra en su empleo durante el periodo de actividad del volcán y diseña un patrón de análisis que establece una clasificación de las piezas emitidas. Las entrevistas en profundidad a profesionales de la RTVC y a expertos en tecnología aportan un valor añadido a este estudio. Los resultados muestran que predominan las piezas estáticas y las envolventes. En las primeras destaca la función informativa y en las segundas su carácter didáctico. La interacción del presentador es limitada. La música está siempre presente y los efectos sonoros son frecuentes. La RTVC ha obtenido numerosos galardones a la mejor cobertura informativa en 2021.
