Full textCurrently in France, profound institutional changes are going through an educational system in transition. That is the very space of transition, likely to accredit new paradigms and whose study makes it possible to anderstand the process of professionnalisation, that the learning of a changins professionnalizationIt is in this space of transition, that the learning of a changing professional self takes place, starting from the elaboration of a process of reflexivity thus favored. This research work aims to explore the dynamics of professionalization of management staff in a situation of pedagogical and educational management in secondary schools. The research aims to make intelligible the development processes anchored in the work through the linking of the major concepts of identity dynamics, as a framework for analysis, and professional didactics, as an angle of view of the research. We rely on a qualitative approach, with an exploratory aim, instrumented by individual interviews. According to the results of the research, the pedagogical and educational management generates categories of situations that contribute to the identity dynamics of the actors and to the cognitive dimension of this activity. The work and training spaces are redesigned and linked with a view to providing responses to socio-educational changes and needs identified and expressed by the actors and users of the School; this is part of a reflection for a renewed project of an inclusive and emancipatory school

Full textThe objective of this research is to evaluate the integration of ICT in Palestinian universities for foreign language teaching: the case of RUFO and QIF projects. By adopting a constructivist theoretical approach, this study is conducted on three levels: micro (teachers and students), meso (on line courses) and macro (policy of the university and the Ministry of Education). The research is based on a qualitative and comprehensive methodology. A content analysis was applied to the triple collected data (interviews, excerpts from on line courses, official excerpts) The findings show that current teaching practices have not evolved as a result of the integration of ICT; the use of this new modality has amplified the existing traditional and directive practices; sometimes it has moved them backward. The main conclusion is that it is not possible to innovate without changing the educational paradigm and shifting from a teaching-centered model to a learning- centered one. Development of higher education requires the implementation of: a complex and cooperative educative engineering, a bidirectional and transversal management process of the innovation, and a training-coaching at all levels

Full textThe Ministry of Basic Education (MINEDUB) of Cameroon has developed a project to improve the basic education quality (PAQUEB) which includes a component of computer equipment in targeted schools. The XO laptop, designed by the One Laptop per Child Foundation, was chosen to be the primary device for students and teachers. To ensure the project’s success, a team from the MINEDUB, composed by educational policy makers, has been assigned to act as trainers and guides. Starting with the assumption that during these training sessions they were to share how they intend to use the XO laptop, this paper presents a discourse analysis of these educational policymakers. From the interaction patterns and themes that emerged from the discourses, we are able to sketch innovative educational situations where children are encouraged to produce artifacts, where teachers become guides and where local problems serve as starting points for learning. Keywords : XO laptop, educational policymakers, discourse, educational situation, interaction patterns.

Full textThis thesis studies the tools of headmasters resulting of the evolution of school policies witch made them as managers. Headmasters are facing unprecedented situations with ambition success networks: new staff, co-leading of teams, forming new and heterogeneous groups. Our historic and cultural approach states that individual activity is a social construction based on social objects witch make possible inter-individual mediation. The ergonomic approach to the activity states that the headmaster's activity is individual but necessarily shared and mediated by tools. Repeated interviews of headmasters have been analyzed and put in perspective with the interviews of several other school actors. The results show that the activity of the headmaster is prevented: the organization of work does not contribute to the reorganization of the milieu and of the social relations. On the one hand, the tools used to act on the milieu are not transformed to reorganize the milieu and the school-based rationale prevails. In return, the headmaster sees his work as unchanged. On the other hand, the tools used to act on teachers do not allow them to contribute to the reorganization of the milieu. The tools aim at mobilize them, make them subscribe, gather them or sometimes set them behavior patterns. In return, the work of organization made by teachers remains in obscurity. Consequently, organization of work and work of organization do not meet

Full textThis research in education sciences is focused on the conception and design of scientific and technique engineering programme training. The main objective is to understand in which way the pedagogical practices can be connected with the school management. The relation between the top management and teaching activities is complex. We envisage watching these interactions and modeling it. The objective of this research is thus oriented to the study of the interactions between school management (meso level) and the actions developed at a micro level (meaning pedagogic dynamics). The research strategy is made of several methodologies such as participative observation, active Iistening during interviews and an action - research approach

Full textThis research based on an inductive approach, studies what the students became after having studied in a high school where different educational methods and an official school project inspired by the new education emphasize the ambition to train responsible and autonomous young students, open-minded as well as creative, who are able to adapt, evolve and work in a team. The methodological device of data collection consists of 42 accounts made by former students of this particular school who left the institution between 1990 and 2005, but also of secondary analyses of existing surveys, statistics produced by the school institution and the follow-up of 450 former students on social networks since 2008. The results show how these students built their identity thanks to a particular school experience and how according to them, their school years changed who they are today. They also show that what was decisive in the long run for their own personal success, their social and professional integration, happened outside their class, thanks to relationships and autonomous learning process between peers, but also between adults and themselves, or with the building of lasting social network and in the development of psychosocial skills where the collective dimension is central. This study also demonstrates that this school isn't aside the world but on the contrary that their words tell about what the future students will be

Full textHeadmasters' work has been changing with educational politicies. Headmasters are becoming agents for change or managers in schools wich are independent and under an obligation of results. In France in 2006, headmasters are challenged with the reform of Ambition success networks. An unprecedented situation that raises the question : how to manage heterogeneous teams ? This thesis uses the ergonomic approach to the activity in order to study a paradox : on the one hand, the focus is put on collective work and its impact on performance, on the other hand, the organisation of the work by headmasters and the work of organisation by teachers are ignored. The aim is to show the importance of actual work in order to understand conditions and difficulties of the work of organisation in wich headmasters are engaged.
