Abstract: The fundamental aim (lens) of this investigation (research) is to know the particular situation of the professionals of the physical education, in relation with the phenomenon of the stress. This intention is not easy at all if it thinks that the stress is a reaction of the general system of adjustment to the different stimuli of the life of the man, in which the work composes one of the dimensions that generates stress; and though this situation is common to all the persons who form a part of the world of the work, previous studies (Cifuentes1995), they demonstrate that they are the teachers the labour segment that presents the highest levels of stress and therefore, probably in a logical way, there arises the interest to know the particular realities of each one of the areas of the education, inside which one finds the physical education. The car was applied bring (report) of anxious, depressive symptoms and somatomorfos for the measurement of stress and though this study is descriptive and not correlacional, it was achieved to gather information of other factors that normally are also powerful agents estressores, though in a referential way. The results obtained in this study, indicate us that 85 % of the teachers of physical education has high levels of stress

ENGLISH ABSTRACT: Education systems are in a constant change, more so now in the post-modern global era that we live in. With change comes the stressors associated with it. Some of us are able to cope while others are unable. This thesis focuses on the effect of stress on educators who have learners with physical disabilities in their classroom as well as the coping methods used by these educators to manage these learners in the classroom. Participants were five female educators from disadvantaged areas of the Western Cape. A qualitative research approach was taken and the results indicate the following: Major stress experienced by educators is caused by the fact that educators do not know how far to sustain, let alone challenge an active learning environment, because of lack of experience and relevant in-service training relating to learners with physical disabilities. It was found that the nature of the disability and its severity influences the attitudes of the educators in inclusive practice. The absence of communication or rather the lack of information about the learner from the parent and other parties involved caused stress amongst the participants. Participants identified that improving their self-esteem was one of the key coping methods in dealing with stress. It is clear that educators need some form collaborative support to know they are on the right path or in order to progress in the right direction.

Abstract:
The Burnout Syndrome in teachers is a topic that has been getting attention since it is a public health problem related to work. The main objective of this study is to verify the presence of the burnout syndrome in the physical education teachers of the public institutions of Sergipe. Being a State where sports are predominantly, school taught teachers play a decisive role in local sports environment, ranging from the initial training of the athlete to coaching during the competitions. This research is in a cross-sectional study of descriptive and quantitative approach, where 164 graduates participated teachers, of both sexes, without delimitation of age, and engaged in physical education in public schools of Sergipe. For data collection, two evaluation methods were used: a socio-demographic questionnaire and the Maslach Burnout Inventory - MBI questionnaire with 22 closed questions on a Linkert scale 0-6. The sample selection was stratified random, obeying a proportionality in the 10 regional offices of the State of Sergipe, which enabled a process of selection by conglomerates. Data analysis was conducted in stages: The first consisted in descriptive data to characterize the sample and identify the scores of burnout syndrome and the evaluation of the distribution using the Kolmogorov - Smirnov test. The second phase involved calculating the Cronbach´s alpha coefficient in order to test the internal consistency of the MBI. In the third phase, we compared the data obtained between sociodemographic variables: gender, marital status, age, time of exercise of profession, working hours and other employment with the three dimensions of the MBI, using nonparametric tests of Mann - Whitney and Kruskal - Wallis. For processing and analysis of the responses, we used SPSS for Windows, version 20.0. Statistical significance was set at 5 % (p . 0.05). The results were that physical education teachers of state schools Sergipe do not show extreme cases of burnout, but the identifiers found in three dimensions suggest a possible early development of the installation process of the syndrome, since the indices intermediate scores were high in all three dimensions: depersonalization (84.2%); Emotional exhaustion (78.4%) and professional fulfillment (67.9%).

The purposes of this study were to clarify the current situation of the job stress and coping strategy for physical education teachers of universities in Taiwan. It was also to compare the differences of the different background variables on their job stress and coping strategy. In addition, it tried to probe the relationship between the job stress and coping strategy. Five hundred and seventeen full-time universities physical education teachers served as the research subjects and the questionnaire "Job stress of the universities physical education teachers measuring scale" was used as research survey instrument. According to the data collected from the questionnaires, means values, standardized scores, one-way MANOVA, Pearson Product-moment Correlation were used for data analysis. The results showed that: 1. The universities physical education teachers perceived job stress tend to be middle level, and teachers scored higher on the "laws and regulations bondage" factor. They used "solving problems" of the coping strategy more often. 2. Different background teachers (except gender) felt significant differences in job stress. As a whole, the age were younger, shorter accumulated years of teaching, unmarried, bachelor''''s degree, lecturers, teaching in private universities, and with part-time administration felt the higher job stress. The purpose of this study is to explore the correlation between gender and job stress on junior high school physical education (PE) teachers. It adopts a questionnaire investigation method to learn about the overall stress extent of junior high school PE teachers, and is assisted with in-depth interview in order to understand the detailed history of job stress, and meanwhile, to consider on the effects of gender towards job stress extent and stress history. The main research conclusions are as follows: 1. Sexism will simultaneously deepen and weaken job stress feeling on junior high school PE teachers; however, the deepening extent is greater than weakening extent A quantitative study has indicated that there is a significant positive correlation between sexism attitude and job stress, and that male PE teachers have a higher sexism attitude than female teachers. However, the variance in overall job stress extent is small. Meanwhile, the qualitative study has discovered that the cost and benefits caused by discriminatory attitude would deepen and weaken job stress feeling. 2. Both men and women PE teachers are familiar with, but seem not aware of the problem of “benevolent-based sexism,” and they dare not take a stand against “hostile-based sexism” A quantitative study has shown that both men and women PE teachers hold a high “hostile-based” sexism attitude towards each other. While during the qualitative interviewing process, there were different results to reveal that the tendency towards “benevolent-based” discriminatory attitude was greater than “hostile-based” discriminatory attitude. 3. Both men and women respondents were unquestioned about traditional gender relationship A quantitative study has displayed a prevalence of sexism attitude to exist among the working environment of PE teachers, and that men generally have a higher sexism attitude. On the other hand, the qualitative study has discovered that women respondents are aware of gender inequalities, but then both male and female respondents have regarded it as a reasonable complementary relationship between sexes. 4. The impact that gender attitude had on PE teacher history of perception and job stress A quantitative study has revealed a significant correlation between gender attitude and stress. While the qualitative study has found that different gender attitude have different stress history, and among the three influential aspects are a cognition approach towards stress, descriptive manners and coping methods.

Not until the amendment of “Enforcement Rules of Special Education Law” in succession has the education rights of all children with physical-mental disabilities and the development of special education been safeguarded. However, with the laws, decrees, and regulations being more and more complete, and the scale and system being more substantial day by day, people have increasing demands on the service quality of special education, and the job stress that a special education teacher bears has become heavier with each passing day. Hence, how the special education teacher seeks an appropriate channel of releasing pressure to maintain the quality of physical and mental health has become an important issue. Therefore, by means of this, the research expected to explore the coping strategies adopted by special education teachers when facing the job stress, and those coping strategies’ influences on physical and mental health. To achieve the research target, the research utilized the questionnaire to do a general survey aiming at all special education teachers in Miaoli County (including preschool, elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school special education classes). The research mainly adopted Structural Equation Model (SEM) to do analysis after retrieving the questionnaires. The data analysis results show that job stress has an obviously negative influence on physical and mental health; however, through social support and problem coping, the bad influence on physical and mental health can be relieved. Furthermore, emotion-focused coping has a negative influence on physical and mental health contrarily. Consequently, the research suggests the educational administrative institutions and schools should offer special education teachers administrative support according to different source of job stress; meanwhile, the teachers should take the initiative in seeking the social support aiming at their own requirements to increase special education teachers’ coping ability for job stress, and alleviate the negative impact derived from job stress’s influence on physical and mental health.
