Full textIn exchange for a drug retail distribution monopoly, which is consented to them in the interest of public health, chemists are subjected to many obligations. In particular, these obligations consist of qualifications requirements for people working in chemists' shops. They concern, first of all, chemists whose long and high level university education is a guarantee of competence and the quality of the pharmaceutical act (part i). They also apply to other members of the chemist's staff. Only certificied assistants can carry out preparation and distribution operations, under the chemist's supervision (part ii). This is the principle of "personal exercise" which required the chemist, when he doesn't carry out these operations himself, to carefully supervise them. Then, in virtue of this principle, a chemist must be present in the chemist's shop to ensure that a member of a medical profession is always available (part iii)

Full textPharmacovigilance is a fundamental discipline for safety and confidence in the medicines. This discipline has evolved over time, and has been strengthened, but still suffers from imperfections. We proposed through this work to provide an original solution for its improvement. In the first part, we describe and analyze the evolution of pharmacovigilance and its current functioning from both the legal and the scientific point of view and at both national and European levels. We analyzed the legal and practical weaknesses and have formulated proposals to address them. Then we review a number of possibilities before developing in the second part an original approach: pedagogy. Having established that the field pharmacovigilance is based on health professionals, we studied the provision of training of these professionals and offering to provide more qualitative and enough quantitative academic training in pharmacovigilance and iatrogenic, keeping in mind that we must rely on teaching methods and tools that should be adapted to current students. The proposed pedagogical paradigm is based on a pedagogy of explanation, on research in pharmaceutical law and a hybrid innovative pedagogy, combining face to face courses and e-learning resources. The tools used include lectures supplemented by formative assessments as tests done with electronic voting boxes and clinical cases in e-learning available on a platform. This education should lead students to a better understanding of pharmacovigilance and practical management of iatrogenic drug events.Consequently, the work done, allows us to better train, health professionals for drug risk management with an ultimate goal of strengthening the pharmacovigilance system. This will be complemented in the future by simulation and role-playing

Full textIntroduction Health is regarded as an ideal, a goal to improve and to achieve; in order to enhance it some therapists using enabling approaches. The latter show positive results for the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders (MSD's). Objective The objective of this research is to measure the effects of a partnership program in a community pharmacy for the prevention of MSD's. Methodology A mixed design (quantitative, qualitative and descriptive) before and after with a non-equivalent control group is used. Participant recruitment is done on a voluntary basis. They are aged 18 years and over (experimental group (n = 18) and control (n = 17)) and occupy three distinct job titles. Different measures through questionnaires and interviews are taken before and after the intervention. The intervention, meanwhile, includes three session developed from the concepts of ergonomics. Results Results are related to the acquired knowledge and mobilization, and there is a decreased of pain sensation is measured among the participants of the experimental group. Similarly, for these participants, a disposition or proneness to generalize knowledge is observed. Conclusion Inspired by the principles of prevention, ergonomics and empowerment, this study, despite its limitations, allows to better document the effects of a program in partnership with business services for MSD's prevention.
