Abstract:
This research aims to determine the pettern of communication between Coaches and students in disciplining the memorization of the Qir’an at the Baitul Al-Muqarramah Foundation in Bone Regency. Qualitative research methods are used in this research by conducting interviews. Interviews wew conducted with informants who were Coaches at the Baitul Al-Muqarramah Foundation in Bone Regency. The results showed the Coaches in the Baitul Al-Muqarramah Foundation used verbal and nonverbal communication. There are two communication petterns that are used there are also two namely interpersonal communication petterns and group communication petterns. The petterns of group communication is more dominant used in this foundation, while interpernonal communication is usually applied to students who are less optimal in directing group communication. Where the pettern of group communication is more dominant applied in the process of direction every day. As with interpersonal communication, this communication pettern is usually applied to a particular situation. For axample, there is one student who cannot be fostered if trough the communication petterns of the group. Proven trought group communication implemented by the Coach, able to discipline student to memorize the Qur’an and make student achieve targets that have been determined with a dominant scale. Even trought this group communication, the time of a Coach can be more efficient than interpersonal communication which requires the trainer to meet one-onone with his students. The obstacle factors of the Coaches are so unable to discipline the memorization of the Qur’an by their students namely; first, the psychological factors and habit factor od the students.

Abstract:
This article reflects on the visual, spatial, and textual devices deployed by the Architettura Radicale in the 1960s and 1970s through a discussion of a pedagogical project developed for undergraduate architecture students from Monash University, Australia, as part of a travelling intensive based in Prato, Italy. At the time, Prato became the subject of debate about the rapid expansion of consumer culture in Italy, as underscored in Claudio Greppi’s graduating project, ‘Territorial City-Factory’ (1964-5). This architectural proposal rendered the area between Prato and Florence as a totalising city-factory, a proposition that was later developed under Archizoom as ‘No-Stop City’ (1968-70). Greppi’s recasting of Prato as a site for political and architectural experimentation became the catalyst for a teaching-led research project, re-examining the work of the Radical movement in Tuscany. In collaboration with architect and artist Gianni Pettena, the intensive sought to draw out the performative and embodied approaches implicit in his own work and that of his peers including UFO and 9999, as well as the rhetorical devices embedded within the critical fictions of Superstudio and Archizoom. By first dissecting and then redeploying these techniques in response to a site-specific brief, the ultimate pedagogical aim was to expose the students to an expanded range of architectural approaches and to re-evaluate the nature of radical practices ‘within and against’ the omnipresent struggles of late capitalism, and the contemporary cultural and educational context of neoliberalism and the university.

Abstract:
The present study assessed the effect of petting a dog on secretory immunoglobulin A (IgA) levels. 55 college students were randomly assigned to either an experimental group or one of two control groups. Group 1 ( n = 19) petted a live dog; Group 2 ( n = 17) petted a stuffed dog, while Group 3 ( n = 19) simply sat comfortably on a couch. Each participant was exposed to one of the three conditions for 18 min. Pre- and posttreatment saliva samples yielded a significant increase in IgA for Group 1 only. Participants were also asked to complete the Pet Attitude Scale of Templer, Salter, Dickey, Baldwin and Veleber. Scores on this scale correlated with IgA increases only for participants in Group 2 (petting a stuffed animal). Results are discussed in terms of the beneficial effects of pets on health in general, and immunity in particular.

Abstract:
Jealousy is a second-order emotion, its main function being to protect a valued relationship from a rival. A basic form of jealousy has been described in human infants, and its presence in non-human animals has recently been investigated in domestic dogs. The current study assessed whether a primitive form of jealousy can be observed in domestic cats tested using similar procedures to those used with infants and dogs. Fifty-two cats were recruited from either Japanese households or cat cafés. The cats’ behaviors were recorded while they saw their owner petting a “social” object (i.e. potential rival: a realistic-looking soft-toy cat) and a non-social object (furry cushion). As jealousy should be expressed in the context of a valued relationship, cat behaviors were also recorded when an unknown experimenter petted the same two objects. Results indicated that cats -- especially household pets -- reacted more intensely toward the soft-toy cat previously petted by their owner. However, cats did not respond differentially toward the two human actors. The absence of other behaviors indicative of jealousy reported in infants and dogs precludes drawing firm conclusions about the existence of jealousy in domestic cats. We consider the existence of some cognitive bases for jealousy to emerge in cats, and the potential effect of cats’ living environment on the nature of their attachment to their owner. More ecologically valid procedures are required for further study of these issues.

Abstract:
In light of its title, ""The Petting Zoo,""? many of the poems in this collection exist on the page as animals, domestic ones mostly like cats and dogs and birds. Animals that have been tamed and trained to eat out of bowl or Petri dish, shit in certain places, and animals that have grown accustomed to the habitual pet and good good bird affirmation of owner. Katy wanna cracker? To be looked at. To be fed. To be loved. These poems are personal. They are an attempt to articulate the desires of a speaker who is in a constant state of trying to understand the world and the obsessive concerns that decorate her life: think memory, think past, think brother, think sex, think nature, empathy, imagination, abortion, old dog, abortion, love, all of which show up time and time and again throughout the collection. Touch and to be touched, to be whole and yet to break. These poems, perhaps, approach what it means to be alive, and even more specific, what it means to be alive and working through the aftermath of the past and day-to-day that for the speaker often feels broken and incomplete.

Ågren, Sofia. "Klippor, vågor, sand : Förhållandet mellan ord och ton i Petter Ekmans verk." Thesis, Kungl. Musikhögskolan, Institutionen för komposition, dirigering och musikteori, 2014. http://urn.kb.se/resolve?urn=urn:nbn:se:kmh:diva-1631.

Full text
Abstract:

Abstract:
Abstract The HFR is one of the most powerful and versatile Research Reactors in the world. Because of its strategical importance in the medical isotopes production, after 57 years of operating experience a Continued Safe Operations (CSO) mission will take place. The CSO project structure is based on the outline given in the IAEA draft Safety Guide SSG-48. The ageing management for the HFR is evaluated based on the IAEA Specific Safety Guide SSG-10. Moreover, the approach to the contents of the project is supported by the IAEA Draft Guidelines for Peer Review of “Ageing Management of Research Reactors for Continued Safe Operations”. The HFR is the second Research Reactor (RR) in the world to undergo this type of assessment and its experience will be extremely valuable in setting the international standards for CSO of research reactors. This paper describes the phases of the CSO project, the challenges encountered and the experience built during its development.

In Fourth International Topical Meeting on High Temperature Reactor Technology. ASMEDC, 2008. http://dx.doi.org/10.1115/htr2008-58134.

Full text
Abstract:
The HTR pebble fuel experiment HFR EU1bis was irradiated in the High Flux Reactor, Petten, The Netherlands, in 2004 and 2005. It consisted of five fuel pebbles from the German HTR program (GLE4 type, UO2 fuel, 16.75% enrichment) and six minisamples (UO2 fuel, 9.75% enrichment). Its instrumentation included three flux monitor sets. The experiment was loaded in a REFA-170 rig, surrounded by a strongly moderating filler element. The central fuel temperature was held at 1250°C during the irradiation. In the framework of the European RAPHAEL project, Post Irradiation Examination (PIE) has been done at NRG in Petten, The Netherlands and at JRC ITU in Karlsruhe, Germany. In Petten, flux monitor analysis has been done, whereas in Karlsruhe, a quantitative evaluation of γ-emitters was used to make a burn-up determination. A benchmark description based on this experiment has been written by NRG. Until now, five RAPHAEL project participants have modeled the experiment, each with their own neutronics code system. Participating codes are three versions of MONTEBURNS (MCNP with ORIGEN), MURE/MCNP and OCTOPUS (MCNP with FISPACT). The pebble burnup and isotopic inventories (Bq/gram initial HM) of selected fission products and actinides in the fuel pebble samples are both calculated and determined by gamma spectrometry, mass spectrometry and ion chromatography by JRC-ITU. Additionally, two participants calculated the flux monitor activities that were measured by NRG. A burnup measurement of 11.0 % FIMA by gamma spectrometry could be confirmed by calculation. Differences between the various modeling approaches and the experimental burn-up determination will be discussed.
