Clark, Mark. "Peter Comestor and Peter Lombard: Brothers in Deed." Traditio 60 (2005): 85–142. http://dx.doi.org/10.1017/s0362152900000246.

Full text
Abstract:
According to medieval legend, Gratian, Peter Lombard, and Peter Comestor were bro7thers. What united these men in the medieval imagination were the three great works they produced, respectively, over the course of the twelfth century: theDecretum, theSentences, and theHistoria scholastica. The two Peters, in particular, were connected. Stephen Langton, one of the most prominent teachers of Scripture and theology at Paris during the last decades of the twelfth century, praised both Peters for their mastery of Sacred Scripture. The joint ascendancy of the reputations of Peter Lombard and Peter Comestor can also be seen in the tradition of medieval chroniclers such as Otto of St. Blaise, who wrote that “in those days Peter Lombard and Peter Comestor shone forth as distinguished masters at Paris.”

Abstract:
Since 2011 Peter McLaren and Petar Jandrić have written a dozen of dialogic articles focused to critical pedagogy in the age of information technology and liberation theology. These articles are packed with Peter McLaren’s interpretations of Karl Marx in various contexts, yet they never focused explicitly to McLaren’s Marxist thought. In this article we present a collection of Peter McLaren’s interpretations of Karl Marx written during 8 years of working together. Developed and published in various contexts, insights in this article do not present a complete overview of Peter McLaren’s understanding of Marxism. Yet, focusing to extremely radically different themes of information technology and liberation theology, Peter McLaren’s views present a rich source for understanding Marxist theory in the 21st century.

Abstract:
Peter (Peter) Lachmann’s Life in the Space of Translation The article discusses Przemysław Chojnowski’s research on the work of Peter (Piotr) Lachmann, a German-Polish author born in pre-war Gliwice (Gleiwitz). Lachmann consistently thematizes the experience of the borderland, describing his existence between two languages and cultures, that is, a “life in translation”. The culmination of Chojecki’s long-time research is the monograph Liminalność i bycie „pomiędzy” w twórczości Petera (Piotra) Lachmanna. Studium literacko-kulturowe (Kraków, 2020), which is the main subject of analysis in this article. This work situates itself in the domain of modern anthropological-cultural comparative studies, clearly and convincingly demonstrating the heuristic potential of such approach. Chojnowski’s book is not only a mine of information about the work of Peter (Piotr) Lachmann, but also an invitation to discuss the broader issues of borderland and cultural bivalence, usually associated with ambiguous national identification.

Abstract:
Jahrhunderts.

Burns, Kevin. "Edmonton Peter Puck, Meet Peter Pork …" Canadian Theatre Review 53 (December 1987): 70–73. http://dx.doi.org/10.3138/ctr.53.011.

Full text
Abstract:
The starting point for Pig Productions can be traced to a workshop presented by Cathy Devecka at the Catalyst Theatre Popular Theatre Training Workshop held in Edmonton, June 16-22, 1986. Cathy Devecka is a cultural worker in Ann Arbor who guided The Pinkertons through several years of “actions” in that community. An “action” is the name she gives to any form of organized theatrical intervention – parade, scene, guerrilla or invisible theatre. The Pinkertons are best known in Ann Arbor for their campaign against the Kerasote Theatre Corporation, who were in the process of de-unionizing their chain of cinemas. A series of street theatre scenes were played to the line-ups outside the theatre. The scenes were strengthened by the placement of “nudgers” (undercover Pinkerton members) in the line-ups who would start discussing the scenes and commenting on the anti-union practices of the Kerasote management. An effective “action” resulted in people leaving the line-up. A legal suit soon followed in 1985 but The Pinkertons escaped relatively unscathed, ready to divert their energies and their considerable theatre and organizational skills to other community concerns.
