Abstract:
AbstractThis paper intends to criticize he views on territorial spirits developed by C. Peter Wagner. In his hypothesis he argued "the key for spreading the gospel is spiritual warfare, however, there is one sub-category of spiritual warfare that has great potential to accelerate world evangelization, namely the destruction of the power of territorial spirits Wagner's view of territorial spirits, although controversial in various fields, but it’s actually accepted and practiced in certain churches in Indonesia. To examine this view, the author uses methodological library research which is classified as a type of qualitative research. This research found that Wagner was actually developing his ideas on the principle of "rejection-acceptance" which is loaded with pragmatism. Wagner's self-interest plays a very important role so that his view is his personal interpretation of the facts he presents. Wagner does not really allow facts to speak first, however, interprets facts first, so the results will definitely match his presumption. Finally, Wagner overly relates all matters to spiritual warfare, so that it causes him to tend to understand everything from the point of war. Wagner's view emphasizing only one side and ignoring the other sides finally made his theory lame. Keywords: Critical studies; views of territorial spirits; spiritual warfare; the principle of refusal acceptance; accelerated evangelism.

Abstract:

Abstract:
As long as critique trails in the wake of progress, a more radical game-changing interest in its reconstruction remains blocked. This article will contrast the reforming approach adopted by Peter Wagner with Theodor Adorno’s attempt to reconstruct the normative foundations of historical progress. The intention here is to use the radicalism of Adorno’s critical recovery of this ideal in order to clarify and strengthen the social democratic utopianism that underlies Wagner’s reconstruction of progress. The final section of the article extends the significance of this modelling of the dialectics between critique and progress, using it to guide a brief evaluation of some attempts to reclaim critique from its histories of complicity in repressive, Eurocentric versions of historical progress.

Abstract:
The opposition between Europe and Russia runs through Dostoevsky’s novel The Idiot, culminating in Mme Epanchina’s declaration that both Europe and the Russians who travel to Europe are “one big fantasy” [Dostoevsky, 2002, p. 615]. In the novel, Dostoevsky uses the exile trope as a literary tool for expressing his Russian idea. Although the spiritual underpinnings of Dostoevsky’s nationalism have been well studied, the secular side of this concept bears further exploration. Peter Wagner argues that nationalism constitutes a response to the nostalgia that is developed in exile following one’s breaking away from tradition. Nineteenth-century nationalism specifically “was an attempt to recreate a sense of origins in the face of the disembedding effects of early modernity and capitalism” [Wagner, 2001, p. 103]. By applying Wagner’s theoretical framework to Dostoevsky’s narrative, the author demonstrates that in its secular essence, Dostoevsky’s nationalism is not a merely localized manifestation of a uniquely Russian sentiment, but a symptom of a larger phenomenon that was taking place in late nineteenth-century Europe. Because Mme Epanchina gets to say the final word in Dostoevsky’s novel, her role and the subtleties of her message will be the primary focus of the present analysis.

Abstract:

This essay discusses the relationship between the Vineyard and the various other apostolic networks. By comparing the Vineyard with C. Peter Wagner and the New Apostolic Revival, I contend that the chief difference between these two movements lies in a Vineyard interest in pedagogy over a New Apostolic Revival interest in governance, and in the Vineyard’s use of the figure of John Wimber as an exemplar for practice rather than as a figure of authority.

Abstract:
In this article the author endeavors to present music as socially powerful and effective art, which has enormous potential to participate in the complex process of constructing reality, especially the reality of "symbolic universe" (in Peter Berger?s and Thomas Luckmann?s meaning of this term). In an attempt to define the role music could play in the process of reality construction, special attention is paid to music?s ability to create temporal and spacial coordinates of a "symbolic universe", as well as to the importance and consequences of belonging to the so-called "community of listeners". In the second part of the article the conclusions are tested by being applied to the audience of Richard Wagner?s Festival Theatre in Bayreuth. The main reason for examining the socially-constructive power of music is found in the fact that Wagner established his theatre with the express purpose of constructing (by optical and acoustical means) an essentially deviant reality of a novel "symbolic universe", reality strong enough to outgrow the reality of everyday life and replace it at the position of paramount - or, in Wagner?s words, "genuine" - reality.

We propose the new name Alaskodiscus with the same type species, A. donensis Rohr, Frýda and Blodgett, 2003. We feel the similarity in names is not likely to cause undue confusion since the taxa are widely separated by phyla and age.

The paper explains the medieval notions of tonary and differentia in theory and practice. Both notions played a prominent role in defining the book type tonary as well as the function of melodic cadences called differentiae. The tonary is important for the examination of early plainchant repertory and for the interpretation of medieval mode theory (Octoéchos). The differentia has already been discussed by Peter Wagner as the most exciting element of antiphonal psalmody. Recent comparative studies of theoretical as well as practical sources of tonaries are highly promising.

Abstract:

Abstract:
This article argues that combining elements of the sociological theories of Johann Arnason and Peter Wagner can contribute to an understanding of the causes of the ‘new Cold War’ on the European continent. Comparisons of today’s confrontation between Russia and the West with the original Cold War are largely misleading since the Soviet model of modernity represented a radical alternative to its liberal western version. Unlike the original Cold War, the current ideological confrontation is not connected with a clash of different forms of modernity. Today’s Russia lacks a clear civilizational identity and does not follow an alternative project of modernity. The recent ‘conservative turn’ in Russian politics largely draws on a specific interpretation of European modernity.

Abstract:
The article considers Max Weber’s model of plebiscitary leadership and historical examples of plebiscitary democracy. It is argued that there is no clear distinction between plebiscitary democracy and dictatorship inWeber’s writings. As Stefan Breuer demonstrates, such a distinction allows us to broaden the application of Weberian concepts. Plebiscitary elements can be seen in the political life of non-Western states, which have been discussed from the multiple modernities perspective. However, while that perspective develops the Weberian sociological tradition, its representatives mostly do not use the concept of plebiscitary leadership. Thus, Shmuel Eisenstadt draws primarily on Weber’s sociology of religion in his analysis of different types of modernity. Specifically, Eisenstadt considers the impact of civilizational legacies on political processes in India and Latin America. Peter Wagner discusses the relevance of Weber’s rationalization thesis and theory of capitalism rather than the concepts of Weberian political sociology. In his study of democratization in Brazil and South Africa, Wagner emphasizes the progressive character of political changes but does not consider the possibility of a reversal of these processes. The article argues that the contemporary reconstruction of Weber’s model of plebiscitary leadership can complement the analyses of democratization in non-Western societies from the multiple modernities perspective.

While a great deal of social science literature has examined the explosion of pentecostal and charismatic Christianity in the Global South as well as conservative and anti-modern forms of resurgent Christianity in the United States, little work has been done to investigate the causal effects of the former on the latter. Drawing from existing literature, interviews, and archives, this article contributes to filling that gap by arguing that in the mid-twentieth century, evangelical missionary concerns about competition from global Pentecostalism led to an intellectual crisis at the Fuller School of World Missions; this crisis in turn influenced important Third Wave figures such as John Wimber and C. Peter Wagner and is linked to key moments and developments in their thought and pedagogy.

The conventional view on the origin of the gradual was stated succinctly by Peter Wagner: ‘The Responsorial solo in the mass is of apostolic origin…in imitation of the Jewish liturgy a solo from the psalmist was inserted between the readings.’ The precise form this view has taken more recently in the works of both musical and liturgical historians can be summarised as follows. The early Mass or Eucharist consisted of two major parts. The essential part, the Eucharist proper, had its origins in the Last Supper, a Jewish ceremonial meal, possibly the Passover Seder. This was preceded by a ‘service of the Word’, made up of four elements: scripture reading, discourse on the reading, congregational prayer and psalms sung in response to the readings. This pre-eucharistic service was plainly and simply an adoption en bloc of the ancient synagogue service.

Abstract:
Seb. Bachs. BJ 1952, S. 5-28 Peter Wollny: Neue Bach-Funde. Abstract:
Joseph August Lux (1871-1947), who wrote numerous books and articles on Peter Behrens, Bruno Paul, Otto Wagner, and others, saw himself as the first "spokesman for the German movement." Yet, for various reasons, his work has fallen into oblivion. Lux needs to be reassigned his proper niche in the development of modern architectural theory, if only to show that the thrust of modernism was by no means as direct and unimpeded as is often supposed. Lux's historiographic argument emerges piecemeal from a vast array of writings. In this article, I clarify his concept of modernism, pointing in particular to his interest in historical fiction and amateur photography. Lux was among the first modern theorists to champion the notion of genius loci as a way to unify traditional and modern sensibilities. But it was this insistence on a teleological-and, for Lux, a "Catholic inspired"-dimension to architecture that led to a rift with Friedrich Naumann, one of the founders of the Werkbund. An investigation into Lux's work not only sheds light on the early theorizing of modernity within the Werkbund circle, but also begins to add a historical dimension to various strands of conservative-modernist thinking, including what is now called phenomenology.

Abstract:
Peter Wagner, as an expert on church growth, stated that the Apostolic church is a church that is experiencing rapid growth. This claim is made because many Apostolic churches have been built around the world. The church continued the spirit of the apostles at the time of the early church's birth. However, it is important to conduct an in-depth study regarding the realization in the field; whether a thriving Apostolic church is carrying out God's mission or the personal ambition of a charismatic church leader. This study analyzes how the church which is said to be an Apostolic church runs its organization so that it experiences significant growth. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The researcher tries to explore the phenomena and data obtained through respondents about the transformative apostolic church that was developed in the ministry of the Indonesian Bethel Church of Gatot Subroto. In conclusion, GBI Gatot Subroto is a transformative apostolic church, because of several things, such as a visionary church, senior pastors or mentor pastors as apostolic leaders, divine authority and the work of the Holy Spirit have an impact, the church as a center for leadership training and discipleship across generations implements apostolic ministry followed by other gifts/services, prioritizing mission, and focusing on the Kingdom of God.AbstrakPeter Wagner, sebagai salah satu ahli pertumbuhan gereja, menyatakan bahwa gereja Apostolik adalah gereja yang mengalami pertumbuhan secara pesat.

Abstract:
Shimazu, Takeshi, Tetsuo Yukioka, Hisashi Ikeuchi, Arthur D. Mason, Jr., Peter D. Wagner, and Basil A. Pruitt, Jr.Ventilation-perfusion alterations after smoke inhalation injury in an ovine model. J. Appl. Physiol.81(5): 2250–2259, 1996.—To study the pathophysiological mechanism of progressive hypoxemia after smoke inhalation injury, alterations in ventilation-perfusion ratio (V˙a/Q˙) were studied in an ovine model by using the multiple inert gas elimination technique. Because ethane was detected in expired gas of some sheep, we replaced ethane with krypton, which was a unique application of the multiple inert gas elimination technique when one of the experimental gases is present in the inspirate. Severity-related changes were studied 24 h after injury in control and mild, moderate, and severe inhalation injury groups. Time-related changes were studied in controls and sheep with moderate injury at 6, 12, 24, and 72 h. Arterial [Formula: see text] decreased progressively with severity of injury as well as with time. In smoke-exposed animals, blood flow was recruited to lowV˙a/Q˙compartment (0 <V˙a/Q˙ < 0.1; 17.6 ± 10.6% of cardiac output, 24 h, moderate injury) from normalV˙a/Q˙compartment (0.1 <V˙a/Q˙< 10). However, increases in true shunt (V˙a/Q˙= 0; 5.6 ± 2.5%, 24 h, moderate injury) and dead space were not consistent findings. TheV˙a/Q˙patterns suggest the primary change in smoke inhalation injury to be a disturbance of ventilation.
