Full textData science offers numerous advantages across various sectors, particularly in the industrial domain, where it is essential for integrating businesses into Industry 4.0. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) aim to compete with large corporations by using new technologies related to data science, thus facilitating their transition towards digitalization and intelligent manufacturing. This thesis develops a data science-based solution to help SMEs perform predictive analyses of industrial systems and optimize their performances. Indeed, industrial production often encounters anomalies that cause interruptions and affect product quality, leading to significant maintenance time losses and reduced productivity. The proposed methodological framework comprises two main layers: a data layer and a business layer. The data layer employs innovative methods to collect, centralize, process, and enhance data quality, thus preparing for predictive analysis in the business layer, which is dedicated to developing artificial intelligence models to predict industrial anomalies, such as machine breakdowns and quality drifts detected through 3D measurements of parts. The project also includes a human-machine interface for managing data, reporting stoppages, and displaying machine predictions and part dimensions. This work is demonstrated through a real case study of scientific and industrial collaboration between the Femto-ST institute and the French SME Scoder, whose deployed solutions have significantly improved the company's overall performance

Full textThe Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) regulates the environmental impacts of a wide range of industrial and agricultural activities through an integrated approach of their pollution and consumption. In practice, this approach translates into the obligation to implement the "Best Available Techniques" (BATs) described in European reference documents: BREFs. However, when drawing up or revising a BREF, it is not possible to cover every activity for all or part of the environmental issues that it is likely to cause. Installations involved in these activities without reference are not exempt from implementing BATs. However, surveys carried out on the application of BATs in France show that the lack of BAT reference often leads to the implementation of BATs not being effective on site, and / or verified by the competent authority. Faced with this finding, a methodology allowing operators of installations subject to the obligation to implement BATs to demonstrate their compliance to the competent authorities in the absence of an official reference is proposed. It consists of two phases aimed respectively at identifying the major environmental issues of an installation and comparing its performance with that of BATs for each of these issues. It is tested on two case studies from different activity sectors, then its advantages and limitations are discussed in the light of industrial feedback. Finally, work and research perspectives are proposed

Full textThe aim of this thesis is to clarify the underlying motives for and the results of french firms' diversification strategies. An empirical study on a sample of the 48 largest french industrial firms (1984 classification) was carried out in order to test a number of hypotheses. The tests were made using the following basic data:. Additions and abondonments of two-digit activites (nap classification) between the date of establishment of firms and 1984;. Breakdown of turnover for 1970, 1977 and 1984 by two-digit ans four-digit activities (nap classification);. Constituent elements of the financial balance sheets and profit ratios (1987-1984); the data was established after processing of information amassed from various sources (annual reports and documentation presentinf the historical background of firms, press articles and other publications). .

Full textThe financial behavior and performances of industrial firms in sub-Saharan countries (Burkina Faso, Cote d'Ivoire, Niger and Senegal) have been analysed on the basis of the positive theory of agency. The notion of African enterprise as “nexus of contracts” leads to distinguish three types of enterprises : the “monitoring” enterprise, the “community” enterprise and the public enterprise. The model chosen bring to the core problem of separation of ownership rights from decision-making rights as well as the conflicts of interests and agency costs that are entailed. It mainly takes into account one specificity of African environment : the community pressure, family and clan influence on enterprise management in Africa. Taking the agency's relation into consideration to analyze the interpretation of financial decisions and performances leads to convincing results. On the basis of findings of a survey from principal officials of enterprises and on the collection of accounting and financial data, uni-varied and multi-varied statistics processing were carried out to test three (3) research hypotheses. In many cases, the organizational design namely type of agency relation influences the expected financial behavior. The various financial objectives connected to the financial function are different according to the organizational design. The investment policy is under optimal and it depends on the type of the firm. As a result, there is an underinvestment or an overinvestment regarding the type of the firm. Generally speaking, the basic financial decisions made within African firms are explained by the need of the management of the agency relation and they corroborate in this way the conjectures of financial agency theory. Thus, the firms have set some targets that contribute to manage the basic conflict of interests. Indebtedness is a way that enables the “monitoring” firms to reduce overinvestment. The conflict of interests, which is particularly hard between banks and “community” firms, is the main cause of underinvestment. The performances of African firms are connected to the organizational design. While “monitoring” firms are successful from the shareholders point of view (return on equity), “community” firms are successful according to the contracting parties (return of assets). Concerning public firms, they are not successful at all

Full textThe optimisation of the performance of the industrial waste water treatment by activated sludge, requires a good knowledge of the biological processes used. The main problem of industrial waste water treatment is the influent component toxicity. The objective of this work is to present a study about, influence of aeration basin hydrodynamic on the filtering performances of coke oven waste water treatment. The two principal pollutants are phenol and thiocyanate. The comparison of the fonctionning of two different aeration basins (1 CSTR of 20 litres and 5 CSTR’s of 4 litres each in series), shows the great influence of water Residence Time Distribution on pollutant degradation. Due to the toxic character of the influent, the higher stability is obtained in single CSTR, where the toxicity is quickly diluted. So, for this kind of industrial influent, a single CSTR, for the aeration basin, is the more capable waste water treatment plant to have a good removal pollution efficiency, and, particularly to absorb the variations of pollutant concentrations in the influent. Howewer, the study in the 5 CSTR’s in series shows that, the main pollutants (phenol, and, thiocyanate) are sequentially degraded, with an inhibition of thiocyanate degradation by residual phenol concentration. All the experimental results, have permitted to determinate kinetic parameters. At last, a new type of bio-reactor, CSTR’s in series with counter-lfow feeding, is studied. It allows, to obtained in continuous, an adapted biomass for toxic influent biodegration

Full textThis thesis addresses the association of industrial and environmental performances with a continuous improvement approach oriented toward sustainable development, and particularly seeks for the identification and elimination of Lean and Green “wastes” in manufacturing processes. The major issue lies in the deployment of L&G tools within manufacturing firms with various processes and cultural characteristics. Based upon a thorough state of the art and industrial surveys on best practices, the research includes several assessments and observations on manufacturing sites. The development of an adaptable roadmap of deployment highlighting social concerns through the involvement of employees in improvements is therefore completed with a selection model of environmental indicators, a “L&G House” and a maturity model for the strategy’s implementation

Full textAutomated fibre placement (AFP) shows great potential for the manufacture of large complex composite structures. However, one of the factors limiting more widespread applications of this process is the appearance of singularities when lay-up trajectories are optimized. In this study the influence of geometrical singularities has been studied, both in terms of microstructure and mechanical properties. Different types of singularity, gaps and overlaps, have been deliberately introduced into carbon - epoxy laminates by AFP. Their influence has been evaluated by mechanical testing, both in-plane (tension, compression, shear), and out of plane (interlaminar shear, mode I and mode II delamination). A test has then been developed to simulate the response of a small structure, by transverse pressure loading of plates with and without singularities. Overall, the results show a local effect of these defects on the microstructure which can be accentuated by manufacturing conditions. The use of a caul plate allows local material movements which can result in healing of defects during autoclave cure. The understanding of the AFP process acquired here has enabled new possibilities for manufacturing to be developed. A preliminary study of flax fibre reinforced thermoplastic has been performed, which shows promise for the development of complex biocomposite structures

Full textCommercial and industrial buildings represent a significant part of total energy demand. The objective of this thesis is to study the thermal behavior and airflows of commercial or industrial buildings (low-rise and large volume) by numerical simulations, to improve their thermal performance in order to reduce their energy consumption while maintaining thermal comfort of the occupants. The first part of this study consists in identifying and evaluating the keys factors that affect the energy demand and thermal comfort of these buildings. Using the developed models (multizone and zonal), we present the impact of the most important parameters (building orientation, thermal insulation, radiative properties of the roof, soil, internal thermal inertia, air diffusion…) on energy consumption and thermal comfort. We have identified here that the main influencing parameters can be found in the design of the roof and the ground floor considering the energy performance of the studied building. The developed model is then applied to a real commercial building. Results showed that the predictions are in good agreement with the measurements and that night-time natural ventilation can be an efficient passive cooling technique to avoid overheating in summer. In the second part, we evaluate the efficiency of different passive cooling techniques (thermal insulation, night-time natural ventilation, cool roof…) applied to ensure the thermal comfort in winter as well as in summer while minimizing the energy consumption. Finally, an optimization study is proposed to determine the optimal set of parameters for both objective functions considering the passive cooling techniques and the energy demand according to different climatic zones

Full textThe main target of this thesis is to propose, in term of demand uncertainty, an explanation of the increasing role played by the small firms in the industry since the seventries and of the structure-performance relation deterioration abserved in the empirical studies during the same period. The first part introduces the competitive models used to show random demand effect on the industrial concentration. The eventual diversity ( the coexistence of firms different efficiency) arises from the technological choice of the firms, and the uncertainty promotes the smaller firms which are supposed to be more flexible than the larger ones. The second part introduces some models with dominant firms and competitive fringe. The eventual industrial diversity results then from the strategy selected by the larger firms (the dominant firms). Moreover, we show how the uncertainty is able to spoil the structure-performance relation. Finally, the empirical part first, tests the influence of uncertainty on industrial concentration and on the subcontracting degree, and second, shows that the structureperformance relation deterioration results from the industries characterized by a high degree of uncertainty

Full textThe relation between economic performance and the banking sector evolves according to the economic context and depends on firms’ as well as banks’ performance. Firms’ capacity to finance their production and investment plans impacts their ability to grow and improve their efficiency. As a consequence, industrial dynamics, i. E. How firms are selected within a market, are impacted by bank-firms links and the credit allocation process. In turn, the structure and performance of the banking sector also feed back into firms’ ability to fund their projects. This work thus investigates the mechanisms of transmission between the banking sector and industrial dynamics from three different perspectives, using alternative tools and methods. We start with an empirical study of the relation between firm performance and investment in the French and Italian manufacturing sectors. Because investment opportunities are aligned with the projects finally financed, we can conclude that the banking sector does not seem to distort selection mechanisms. Second, we turn to the analysis of the relationship-building process between firms and banks, and how their choices impact credit rationing. To do so, we resort to an experimental study, where we are able to disentangle supply and demand factors explaining the emergence of single or multiple lending links. We complete our study with an agent-based macroeconomic model, which bottom-up perspective shows how the individual decisions impact macroeconomic aggregates. In this last work, we are able to evaluate how bank bailout policies as well as fiscal rules interact and impact the macroeconomic targets

Full textOur research consists in examining "how IS contributes to organizational performance" and whether this contribution differs depending on the strategic orientation of the firm.We position ourselves in the field of research assessment based on the theory of resources, process-based approach and the ISSM model. Officials of 102 industrial firms Tunisian have valued the assets IS and their contributions to the process and the individual and organizational performance.Measurement tools have been developed and validated: IS quality, use value of SI. Our four-step process approach provides a good explanation of our latent constructs: quality of IS , use value of IS , IS contribution to individual and organizational performance, competitive performance and average growth rate of sales. Our structural model explains 12% of the growth rate of sales with GoF 54%. The relationships between strategic orientation, IS and performance, raise several dilemmas for which future research should be able to respond

Full textThis research deals with the design and the characterization of a high performance concrete (HPC) from locally available resources. A characteristic compressive strength of 100 MPa is the main requirement. The design of concrete was mainly focused on two points: are the ultrafine materials necessary and which superplasticizer has to be used? The investigations done (laser grain size distribution, workability test, shrinkage test, Differential Thermal Analysis (DT A), water permeability) have allowed to show that the HPC properties depend primarily on the physicochernical properties of the ultra-fine particles. The compressive behaviour of high performance concrete was experirnentally assessed and then modeled. The Young modulus has been modeled considering the HPC as a two phases material (motar and coarse aggregate). The influence of fibers (steel or PVA) has been studied. The durability of such concrete was investigated in a very aggressive environment: a 20% ammonium sulfate solution. Not any sign of important degradation was observed after several cycles in the sulfate solution
Marier, Stéphane. "Modélisation et évaluation des performances des processus industriels semi-structurés." Grenoble INPG, 1996. http://www.theses.fr/1996INPG0205.
Full textThis thesis is concerned with the development of a semi-structured business process modeling and performance evaluation method. This method deals with activities of an operational process and their relationships. It handles not only simple relationships, but takes into account complex links expressed by cooperations. The proposed method is based on IDEF3 and Stochastic Petri nets tools. IDEF3 is first used to formalized graphically a non observed process. The IDEF3 graph obtained makes the modeled object easy ro understand and allows to describe its particularities. Generalized stochastic Petri nets (GSPN) are responsible of the process quantitative analysis. For this reason. A "complementarity" is established between the tools. To make it possible to go from IDEF3 to GSPN, a GSPN equivalent for each IDEF3 graphical component, conversion rules and a GSPN building procedure are proposed. When cooperative activities are met into the process, they are treated separately. They are first formalized with a descriptive model. The performance extraction from the model requires the use of simulation. The simulation model is built in two steps. The former consists to validate the partial model by means of a colored stochastic timed Petri net. An analytic method is suggested to analyze this net. Next, the cooperation specificities are added to the partial model. This latter step allows to compute the mean duration of each cooperative activity. The GSPN model is completed when the cooperation durations are integrated, each one being considered then like a simple relationship. Finally, the process performance evaluation can be computed. The developed method has been experimented on two industrial examples : a teleoperation process and a maintenance process

Full textThe objective of this thesis was to justify the performance of the ivorian agricultural industry (ag-industry) through out its market structure. The thesis used traditional and modern theory of industrial organization and linked them to ag-industry. The thesis shows that the ivorian ag-industry faces a quite paradoxal situation as far as economic efficiency is concerned this is due to the high level of protection and concentration. In other words, the agricultural and food sector did not benefit from profits earned from the existing market structure. Government intervention in all ag-industrial activities has created non-rational practices from an economic standpoint. This situation is due in part to community constraints which, in africa, are ranked number one priority in firm management

Full textA lot of progress had been done in recent years to understand the regulation of synthesis and secretion of cellulases in the fungus Trichoderma reesei. However, the production cost of cellulases still remains one of the most important limiting steps in the production of bioethanol from lignocellulose. It is in this context that my PhD project has been developed: to genetic engineering T. reesei strains to increase its cellulase production and its adaptation to industrial conditions. First, we conducted a transcriptome analysis to an improved lineage of industrial strains during cellulase production following conditions close to the industrial process (lactose as inducer and fed-batch culture in bioreactor). We found specifically regulated genes for the most performant strain, possibly involved in its high cellulase production capacity. Then, we identified which regulated genes from transcriptome were involved in cellulase production. For this purpose mutated strains for highly regulated genes were constructed and their phenotype assessed. Three mutated genes showed to impact cellulase production and their function gave us an insight into new mechanisms being regulated. Finally, we explored the expression differences when we used a lignocellulose hydrolysate as cellulases inducer instead of lactose. A transcriptomic study of cellulases production on lignocellulose hydrolysates and lactose, allowed us to characterize the differences in regulated genes between these inducers. In addition, a group of genes probably related to detoxification was identified and could be used in the future to develop an inhibitor resistant strain

As a matter of fact, we have to identify the elements founding the conditions of the contemporary competitiveness and the renewed mechanisms of growth, these latter depending more and more broadly on endogeneous factors. The analytical framework provided is rooted in a conception of competitiveness enabling to take into account externalities, technologic al interdependences and learning effects, and more largely the structural factors ensuring a long-lastin competitiveness. The meso-economic seems to provide a relevant way for expresing such phenomena. Then the interest of the level of the filiere is learning processes and externalities. Full textThis research aim to determine the influence of downstream supply chain risk management on performance of agro-industrial firms. It adopts an international comparative investigation between developing economy (Cameroon) and developed economy (France) to examine the concepts actually improved upstream of the supply chain. Based on scientific realism, the second post-positivist paradigm, it combines theory with field investigation to understand unobservable constructs. Using a combination of qualitative data obtained through semi-direct interviews with supply chain managers, and quantitative data obtained through the survey of agro-industrial companies’ sample, it examines the possible links between Constructs. This is done through the lexical analysis and by the Structural Equation Modeling using the Partial Least Square method (PLS). Results show that strategic risks management positively and significantly influences the performance of agro-industrial firms. This link is both direct and indirect through customer relations. On the other hand, the operational risks management negatively (but not significantly) affects performance. Similarly, the customer relationship negatively affects firm performance, the contrary of theoretical predictions. But the management of strategic risks and part of the operational risks (forecasts) significantly influence the company's customer relationship. This relationship is moderated by the implementation of effective information systems. Sales promotions do not affect the relationship between customer and performance, but are antecedent of the customer relationship of foods companies These results propose another theoretical perspective of transaction costs and agency theories through the positive impact of outsourcing management on performance. Similarly, research suggests to not isolating certain constructs when considering a research on supply chain theory. From managerial implications, managers must divest themselves of activities where they do not possess key competences such as transport activities through the development of partnerships with LSPs. They must also privilege the implementation of effective information systems as a guarantee of success in the customer orientation of the company. Subsequent research may focus on integrating aspects of trust, competitive advantage, and product quality into the model, in order to better measure their impact on the financial and non-financial performance of CRM

Full textSustainable Development (SD) is "development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." Its three founding pillars are Economy, Environment and Society which are to be handled together. We take the perspective of industrial performance in order to characterize the needs of a company involved in SD.Industrial performance, throughout its history, has to consider more and more numerous criteria up to the present SD pillars. We propose to look on SD as the improvement approach established by the company. According to this, we propose an aid for the human decision maker in order to fulfill the requirements of SD and notably its holistic and cyclic nature.Companies develop continuous approaches to improvement based on standards and methods like the PDCA cycle. Thus, the idea is to enrich this practice with a MCDA process for aiding the decision maker to establish his/her preference and to apply a suitable information processing to it that benefits the improvement approach. In order to integrate imprecision in the decision to be taken, we propose a methodology for characterizing the robustness of the product of a MCDA method in relation to the imprecision of a criterion value. In order to consider the aspect "operational implemantation" of an action, besides its benefit for the performance of the company, we developped a "Feasability" model related to the actions based on the ACUTA method. The idea is to offer the decision maker information complementary with utility information in order to permit a compromise Utility/Feasibility concerning the decision to be taken. Our proposition is applied to an industrial real case conducted in the framework of a partnership with the company adixen Vacuum Products (aVP) in Annecy. This partnership has led to the deployment of our proposition for a decision problem concerning the need in instrumentation required for the building of an energy management system, according to the ISO 50001 standard

Full textFifty years ago, the expression of industrial performance was Taylorian, mono criterion, and attached to the financial results of the company. Today, the performance has adopted both multi criteria and multilevel dimensions. More generally, such a performance is usually related to the achievement of overall objectives and is dedicated to control purposes, post Taylorian performances are thus expressed on the basis of comparisons between the fixed objectives and the corresponding measures. However, this performance is often statically expressed, generally at the final moment of the temporal horizon which is associated with the objective achievement. In this thesis, we propose a definition of the “temporal” performance, according to three performances: the instantaneous performance, the trend performance and the predictive performance. The fundamental assumption in our work consists of considering an objective as being a trajectory of what we call intermediate objectives, throughout a given temporal horizon. Instantaneous performance is expressed by the objective achievement at a given milestone of the temporal horizon. Such a performance relies on the comparison of the objective and the measurement of its achievement. Trend performance is the result of the comparison of the trend objective with the trend measurement. This performance provides information concerning the objective achievement. Predictive performance is defined at a given milestone of the temporal horizon, for a future milestone of this horizon. It is the result of the comparison of the intermediate objective of the considered future milestone with an estimation of measurement at this same future milestone. Moreover, a methodology for using these performances is proposed, based on a principle of aggregation, "in pairs", of the three temporal performances, which allows us to provide a single synthetic piece of information that is, to some extent, the performance of the objective trajectory. As a continuation of this definition step, we propose a qualitative formalization of these performances, based on the fuzzy subsets theory. Rules-based aggregations and linguistic descriptions are used in this. Finally, we illustrate these propositions with examples that are extracted from the OEE improvement project of the Fournier Company

Full textIncreasing productivity implies major socio-economical stakes and confers a key role to industrial performance diagnosis and improvement tasks in the framework of production systems control and organization management. Actually, these problems of performance improvement and performance management require of multi criteria decision-making support systems, in our case, it is based with the methodology PETRA. In our framework, industrial performances are thus defined in terms of numerous and multi-level criteria to b synthesized for overall improvement purposes. The overall performance is modeled as the aggregation elementary performances. A fuzzy Choquet integral aggregation operator is introduced. It allows expressing an overall performance according to the relative importance of criteria and interactions between elementary expressions. A decision-making support is proposed to quantify performances improvement, diagnose explain why an improvement failed, reach the expected objectives in an optimal way. These formal issues are then derived into multi criteria decision-making mathematical problems related to industrial performance management and diagnosis. The related solving methods are integrated into the software tool GeniPlus. GeniPlus is an original contribution to performances management in terms of information processing. GeniPlus has been tested at Bosch Rexroth SAS Fluidtech group specialized in pneumatics and hydraulics

Full textCurrently, Lean Management Practices represents a competitive advantage for most companiestrying to raise their performance in a very aggressive global market. Lean’s implementationprocess is very complex; it means to transform into a new philosophy and managing the business- a behaviour change. This paper reviews the literature in relation to Lean managerial practicesand the incapacity for some companies to sustain the results over time; specifically about themisalignment among the Lean’s purposes with their implementation efforts to waste eliminationthrough the improvement of processes. The literature found several management issues regardingthis problem but the main reasons are firstly a breakdown interfaces between socio-technicalaspects and secondly, a need for real commitment from the top management. Consequently, thetarget of this paper is to synthesize and analyze those Lean difficulties based on dynamic systemthinking and, also, to propose two assumptions as an alternative to a conventional proposal(linearity) to solve this Leans’ problems: the contribution of productivity management whichnarrows these gaps, in a more holistic manner; in addition, based on the continuous improvementapproach as a metric to assess Lean’s "behaviour change" and also to encourage commitment; italso engages the performance dilemma throughout empowered workers that have beendocumented in the Lean literature

Full textThe current industrial world is facing frequent changes, which are sometimes abrupt. This is due to the scientific and technical progresses and increasingly challenging needs of customers. This market variability often creates unstable work organisations and arduousness and stress factors. Therefore, manufacturers are developing methods to control and improve their processes for greater performance. Lean management and ergonomics approach are two of these approaches. But they seem not having totally demonstrated their efficiency for tackling this double issue that is industrial performance and health-at-work. The notion of global performance, which encompasses this double issue, is complex and not so easy for enterprise to manage. Thus, this research project aims at proposing a methodology for transforming organisation and controlling global performance, on the basis of a synergy between the Lean Manufacturing, the ergonomics approach and the ergomotrice one. It aims at guiding an enterprise on a progress journey built upon an evaluation process of the organisation maturity level. The Maturity Matrix in its design takes into account the main principles of the Lean Manufacturing, the ergonomics approach and the ergomotrice one. We propose a framework for change management inside a rhythmed control process allowing to transform an industrial organisation in order to achieve the enterprise strategic vision of global performance. All these research works have been tested in several companies that have been assisted by Valessentia, and more particularly inside Jean-Louis Amiotte

Full textOur study aims to propose a methodology and tools which facilitate the internal benchmarking. This approach aims to share good practices between two business processes. In the first chapter, we show the evolution of industrial performance. In the past, we focused on the production cost reduction and now our actions must more and more improve our business processes regarding four characteristics: a global, perennial, relevant and accelerated performance. We also explain that the present progress approaches can not simultaneously satisfy these four stakes. In the second chapter, we expose the benchmarking evolution which passed from a business process results comparison to an identification of good practices at the origin of performance. We try to define “good practice” with the help of Knowledge Management discipline and explain the difficulty for a company to identify it. We also show that the present benchmarking models, which are proposed in the literature, can not help most companies to share easily good practices. So, that' s the reason why we propose in the third chapter a methodology and tools which concerne especially three steps of benchmarking: the process description, the processes comparison and the good practices deployment. We finish the study with an application in TECUMSEH company. The fourth chapter shows an internal benchmarking between two plants regarding "Six Sigma" process

Full textOver the past ten years, the ERP market is moving towards SMEs. However, the benefits of this type of software for SMEs, deployed more recently, remains to be demonstrated. With these challenges in mind, this research project seeks to answer two central research questions: (1) What theoretical framework can be used to measure ERP contribution to firm performance ? (2) To what extent can the use of an ERP by a PMI affect its performance ?After having defined a research model based on the state of art, a quantitative survey was conducted to obtain the opinion of 284 French industrial SMEs through a questionnaire administered over the Internet. This statistical information was analyzed by the structural equations method, in a SEM-PLS approach. From the initial Dehning & Richardson (2002) model, this work proposes an enriched model allowing to apprehend the main ERP contribution factors to firm performance. In addition, it allows new results on ERP benefits for industrial SMEs. From an operationalized research model, it brings new and tangible elements allowing to conclude to a positive contribution, for this type of companies. This research offers opportunities to extend the field of investigation to service SMEs, in France or abroad. Similarly, the model could be expanded beyond the functional scope of ERP, such as CRM, SCM or other e-commerce solution

Full textWe built in real time and during three years the organizational development activities of Sino-French cooperation and the development of knowledge and skills to ensure the manufacturing process. The industrial challenge is to improve the performance of production occurring in Asia (preventive action on the assembly of machine tools) and assure a continuity of quality manufacturing of machine tools UGV. The aim is a method of operation based on the triptych: results of ball bar tests, qualified structural element involved and failure of the partner. Our theory allows relating the effects of extracts results of qualification tests to causes related to failures on the outsourced process, through the assembly process. The operating results reflected a quantitative estimate cost of phases, needed to process improvement and outsourced the potential for strategic improvement of the International Joint Venture

Full textEffectiveness of Strategic Watch and Intelligence (SWI) is vital for organizations in an international context of instability, complexity and intense competition. The research process of the thesis, includes a phase of theoretical construction, a qualitative phase using case studies, a quantitative phase and a phase of empirical tests. The results of the field studies and the interviewing of surveillance experts allowed for the development of an instrument of measurement in the form of a questionnaire, in conformity with the principle of a quality approach. The tool groups together producers and users of the SWI around the same goal of continuous improvement. It allows us to elaborate a control panel which can be used to pilot surveillance activity and its impact on the performance of the organization. In the final phase of research, the measurement instrument thereby developed was tested with those responsible for SWI and those who use it in two large companies : Framatome ANP and IBM
