Abstract:

Si porterà avanti un raffronto tra i romanzi e le pellicole ad essi ispirate da cui emergeranno punti di contatto come pure significative rielaborazioni. Si cercherà inoltre di comprendere come il cinema abbia potuto, assai più di quanto fatto dalla scrittura narrativa, dare fama non soltanto alle opere in questione ma più in generale ai loro autori.

Abstract:

The genus Ennada Blanchard, 1852 is reviewed and redefined. A coniform signum in the genitalia of the female and androconium in the basal third of the costa of the valvae in the male genitalia constitute diagnostic characters for the genus. The genera Phyllia Blanchard 1852 and Anchiphyllia Butler 1893 are junior synonyms of Ennada. The following species are included: E. flavaria Blanchard 1852, E. pellicata (Felder & Rogenhofer 1875) comb. nov., and E. blanchardi sp. nov. The geographic distribution of the genus is between 29º and 44º S in Chile. The adults, their genitalia and distribution are described and illustrated. A key to differentiate the species is provided.

Abstract:

After selfpollination of <em>Sinapis alba</em> L. pollen tubes growth is inhibited on the stigma. The pollen grains germinate 3-4 hours after pollination. The pollen give rise to one or more pollen tubes. They grow along the papillae. In the place of contact between the papilla and pollen tube the pellicula is digested. Then the direction of pollen tube growth changes completely. Pollen tubes grow back on the exine of their own pollen grain, or turn into the air. The pollen tubes growth was inhibited in 6-8 hours after selfpollination. After crosspollination usually there is no incompatibility reaction.

Abstract:

In questo lavoro l'Autore tenta una lettura costruttivista postrazionalista di due pellicole cinematografiche del regista Guillermo Del Toro, "Il labirinto del fauno" e "La spina del diavolo". Per entrambi i film viene analizzato l'utilizzo di attivitŕ diversive di tipo immaginativo-fantastico da parte dei piccoli protagonisti per far fronte a temi di lutto e perdita. Il fine dell'indagine č quello di mettere in luce il significato profondo che emerge dalle due esperienze dolorose di vita dei protagonisti, che costituisce il leit motive attorno al quale un'identitŕ narrativa prende forma. Il modello post-razionalista di Vittorio Guidano si dimostra ancora una volta spendibile e largamente efficace anche nello studio del funzionamento umano dell'individuo armonico, in assenza di disordini psicopatologici.

Abstract:

This paper presents a novel analysis of charge pump topologies for very high voltage capacitive drive micro electro-mechanical system microphones. For the application, the size and power consumption are sought to be minimized, and a voltage gain of 36 is achieved from a 5 V supply. The analysis compares known charge pump topologies, taking into consideration on resistance of transistors and parasitic capacitances of transistors and capacitors in a 180 nm silicon-on-insulator process. The analysis finds that the Pelliconi charge pump topology is optimal for generating very high bias voltages for micro electro-mechanical system microphones from a low supply voltage when the power consumption and area are limited by the application.

Abstract:

Calcium is present in the surface cells of both types of stigma. The chlorotetracycline method was used to show that the papillae of the dry stigma of <i>Primula officinalis</i> are the source of fluorescence of the CTC-Ca<sup>2+</sup> complex. The precipitation method (NHA) localized calcium ions mainly in the pellicula surrounding these papillae. The NHA-Ca<sup>2+</sup> precipitates were localized on the plasma membrane in the papillae of the wet stigma of <i>Ruscus aculeatus</i>. Ca-ATPase activity was found in both types of stigma in sites where the presence of Ca<sup>2+</sup> had been determined.

In viticoltura, per la realizzazione di nuovi impianti sono utilizzate piante bimembri ottenute in vivaio o direttamente in campo. Negli ultimi anni, allo scopo di ottenere rapidamente nuovi impianti, si sta diffondendo la tecnica dell'innesto su barbatella radicata. Tale tecnica, realizzata in vivaio, prevede l'innesto a tavolino delle marze della varietà scelta su barbatelle radicate di portainnesto di specie di Vitis americane. Dopo un periodo di forzatura e ambientamento in vivaio, le piantine vengono messe a dimora in campo, nello stesso anno di realizzazione dell'innesto. Al fine di valutare tale tecnica, presso il CREA – Viticoltura ed enologia sede di Turi, è stata sperimentata la possibilità di utilizzare due differenti tipologie d'innesto su diversi portinnesti. Per assicurare una buona resistenza del punto d'innesto ed una buona protezione dalla contaminazione e dalla disidratazione è stato utilizzato un materiale di saldatura costituito da una pellicola elastica e semitrasparente. La sperimentazione è stata condotta per due anni, su 12 varietà di uve da tavola di recente costituzione. I risultati hanno mostrato buoni attecchimenti e saldatura dei bionti. Alcune differenze sono state riscontrate sui portinnesti utilizzati e sui tempi di germogliamento dopo l'innesto.

Abstract:

Accurate, objective observation is a critical component of clinical diagnosis and patient management, which in turn is essential for successful diagnostic reasoning by advanced practice nurses. The purpose of this quasi-experimental study was to enhance nurse practitioner students’ observation and reflective thinking skills using Looking Is Not Seeing, a reflective practice/experiential learning technique that uses art objects to teach observation (Pellico, Friedlaender, & Fennie, 2009). Students’ posttest observation and interpretation scores showed statistically significant improvement over pretest scores. Students’ mindfulness scores and their own perceived observational and interpretive ability were statistically significantly higher after participating in the study. Building on the established record of successful visual literacy programs for nursing and medical students at other institutions, this research can help educators implement the Looking Is Not Seeing pedagogy.

Abstract:

We report the discovery of a new species of the genus Pycnogonum Brünnich, 1764 found in the shallow waters of Green Island, Taiwan. Pycnogonum (Nulloviger) granulatum sp. nov. is characterized by the presence of the granular integument, a dorsal tubercle on the proboscis, the transverse ridges on the dorsal surface of the trunk, and the spines on the ventral surface of the tibia, tarsus, and propodus having cleft tips. Because the male gonopores are present and ovigers are absent, the present species belongs to the subgenus Nulloviger. The present species has been compared with P. (N.) moolenbeeki Stock, 1992, P. (N.) lobipes Stock, 1991, P. (N.) tuberculatum Clark, 1963, P. nodulosum Döhrn, 1881, and P. spatium Takahashi, Dick & Mawatari, 2007. Among the congeners, P. spatium is geographically the closest congener, of which type locality is Amami Island, Japan. The holotype of P. spatium was loaned from Hokkaido University Museum (ICHUM) and re–examined. To determine the exact gender of the holotype of P. spatium, additional investigations of the coxal pellicula and gonopores are required.

Abstract:

Studies on the development of aggregated, isolated and rearranged blastomeres have engendered the view that in mammals, unlike most other animals, egg organization has no role in the genesis of asymmetries that are essential for cellular diversification and the specification of embryonic axes. Such asymmetries are assumed to arise post-zygotically through interactions between initially naive cells. However, various findings are difficult to reconcile with this view. Here, a consistent relationship between the structure of the blastocyst and the two-cell stage in the mouse has been found using a strictly non-invasive marking technique: injection of small oil drops into the substance of the zona pellicuda. This has revealed that both the embryonic-abembryonic axis of the blastocyst and its plane of bilateral symmetry are normally orthogonal to the plane of first cleavage. This relationship was also seen when denuded two-cell conceptuses were prevented from rotating during subsequent cleavage by immobilizing them in a gel. Therefore, during normal mouse development the axes of the blastocyst, which have been implicated in establishing those of the fetus, are already specified by the onset of cleavage.

Abstract:

Le immagini erotiche costituiscono uno stimolo particolarmente efficace nel suscitare interesse. Fanno parte di una categoria più vasta di espedienti per attirare l'attenzione su qualcuno o qualcosa, e si prestano ad un uso strumentale nella pubblicità e nella promozione. Nella specie umana il sesso diventa, per motivi evoluzionistici che sono brevemente indagati, un modulo funzionale di processi più complessi. Ciò spiega come diventi componente inestricabile di altri piani esistenziali e rende ragione, al netto di variabili culturali, di una differenza di genere nella fruizione del materiale pornografico. Tale complessità è osservabile nei film, dove il contenuto erotico può assumere un rilievo e una posizione diversa in relazione allo sfondo complessivo: per chiarire queste dinamiche sono prese in esame alcune pellicole accomunate da una fantasia cosiddetta slap and kiss, che afferisce alla categoria sado-maso. Il carattere della pornografia attuale è condizionato dai mezzi di produzione e di diffusione, da una parte, e dai tentativi di annullamento relativistico dei canoni, ad opera di movimenti ideologici, dall'altra. Ciò limita e appiattisce l'offerta pornografica che, nei decenni passati, sia nel cinema che nel fumetto, nonostante una limitata ambizione, aveva dato vita a prodotti più interessanti ed espressivamente liberi.

Abstract:

In 1823, Alessandro Manzoni engaged a continuing debate over the merits of ‘Aristotelian’ unities of time and place with his Lettre à M. C*** sur l'unité de temps et de lieu dans la tragédie, a manifesto that synthesises and amplifies earlier polemics by Berchet, Pellico and Visconti. Dramatic expression, coherence and realism, Manzoni argued, are best served by giving priority to unity of action while ignoring the traditional restrictions of time and setting. Although discontinuities might occur between adjacent scenes, the focus on cause and effect and the exclusion of unrelated incidents would provide a coherence that had previously depended on physical and temporal proximity. Manzoni suggested that formal preconceptions be set aside and the action allowed to shape dramatic design. Characters could be introduced throughout a play rather than together in the first act, their motivations and goals allowed to evolve as the situation unfolds. These shifts would encourage writers to cultivate motifs other than love intrigues, which had traditionally held sway because they took little time to develop. In particular, historical plays could enact all important events instead of only the climax, and depict true causes and resolutions rather than ones invented to fit conventional constraints.

Abstract:

Il saggio focalizza la sua attenzione sul tema dell’adulterio femminile, considerato argomento tabù dalla censura e dalla propaganda fascista, e sulle ripercussioni che esso provoca sui figli. Piccola mia di Eugenio De Liguoro e Il canale degli angeli di Francesco Pasinetti, pellicole uscite a metà anni Trenta, bypassano la tematica incandescente del tradimento extraconiugale con il ravvedimento finale delle protagoniste che tornano al loro ruolo di matres familiae. In particolare il film di Pasinetti anticipa di quasi dieci anni la storia raccontata da I bambini ci guardano di Vittorio De Sica: Bruno, il bimbo protagonista, vive con partecipazione sofferta la nascita di un affetto tra la propria madre e un marinaio. La possibile perdita della figura materna viene somatizzata dal bambino in gesti e azioni fatte di silenzi, di avvicinamenti al padre, di furtivi sguardi verso i due amanti. Il tutto poi si scioglie nel finale quando il marinaio decide di partire e la madre di rimanere con il figlio e il marito. Ne I bambini ci guardano, Pricò non è più in grado di salvare il matrimonio dei genitori perché la famiglia non è più una cellula salda e integra, come il regista dimostra superando ipocrisie ideologiche e radiografando pulsioni sociali ed esistenziali nuove. Lo sguardo del bimbo è lo stesso di Bruno, ma con una messa a fuoco più nitida di quanto accade attorno a lui. A nulla valgono i suoi tentativi di nascondere al padre i continui tradimenti della madre, che alla fine rinuncia al figlio in nome della felicità personale. E nulla può il bimbo per richiamare il padre ai suoi doveri di pater familias. In seguito al trauma dell’abbandono della madre e del suicidio del padre Pricò diventa adulto e sceglie di rimanere in collegio, pur avendo di fronte a sé una madre disponibile a prendersi ancora cura di lui. Il suo dolore è troppo forte per perdonare la donna che lo ha tradito nei suoi affetti più profondi.

Abstract:

The Master of Nursing Science (MNSc) has been developed as a Graduate Entry to Nursing (GEN) programme. It is an accelerated, intensive two-year degree involving the completion of 1100 clinical practice hours to meet New Zealand Nursing Council registration requirements, together with achieving a level of critical thinking that will support excellence in clinical practice. GEN programmes are well known to attract diverse, motivated graduates often with successful careers that want a change of direction (Stacey, Pollock & Crawford, 2016; Pellico, Terrill, White & Rico, 2012). In 2019 the MNSc was in its first iteration, therefore the three lecturers involved had scope to consider the design and delivery of the learning to best support student understanding and engagement. Together with institutional teaching and learning development mentors we brainstormed different approaches to teaching and learning. There is dearth of evidence regarding the development of clinical reasoning and critical thinking for post-graduate nursing students in Australasia. The aim was to develop teaching approaches that encouraged students to engage with the content and foster the development of critical thinking and clinical reasoning. Meyers and Nulty’s (2009) adoption of Biggs (2003) 3P Model of learning and teaching influenced the development of content across multiple discrete units of study. An evolving case study approach supported with podcasts was developed. The first evolving case study focused on a client with a rural New Zealand address and health status common to his age group and life experience. The podcasts aligned with the weekly development of the case. International content experts participated in topics as varied the management of analgesia, history of consent, and assisted dying and others. To iteratively explore and understand the effectiveness of this teaching approach the authors concurrently undertook research. Informed by educational design research (EDR) methodology we explore the process of constructing an authentic learning experience for students. Educational design research (EDR) evolved from design-based research and is recognised as being practical and eminently suitable to explore a small teaching and learning project (Jetinikoff, 2015; McKenney & Reeves, 2018). The aims of this research were to 1) explore and describe the process of constructing an authentic learning experience enabled by technology; and 2) understand and reflect on student learning using an evolving case-study with podcasted content. The research team is currently undertaking the reflection, adaption, and evaluation stage of the EDR methodology. The results of this and the theory stage will be resented at SoTEL. In this presentation, the analysis of the teaching teams’ reflections will be explored. Key to our discussion with the audience will be sharing our reflections and in turn seeking their advice to explore how to engage students in technology enhanced delivery in a fast-paced course. Abstract:

L'autore discute un manoscritto miniato dal convento di San Francesco a Zara. Nove fogli che caratterizzano le iniziali più rappresentative di questo manoscritto sono stati tolti nel 1974 e la loro ubicazione è sconosciuta fin da allora. Solo vecchie fotografie in bianco e nero di questo Salterio sono note nella letteratura scientifica. Con l'ausilio di particolari dei colori conservati su un rotolo di pellicola presso l'Ufficio della Conservazione a Zara, l'autore tenta di ricostruirne l'aspetto originario. Egli mette in evidenza il fatto che questo salterio non è stato analizzato a fondo o descritto consistentemente. Egli stabilisce che si tratta di un salterio liturgico (Psalterium feriale), che si distingue da un salterio biblico, e che contiene un innario (Psalterium cum hymnis). Ogni salmo e inno inizia con un’iniziale illuminata, la maggior parte delle quali sono decorative. Tuttavia, il salterio ha otto iniziali figurale (littera historiata), che l'autore analizza individualmente e stabilisce come un riflesso diretto della divisione del Salterio nei giorni della settimana liturgica. La decorazione figurale è stata data solo per le iniziali del primo salmo di ogni nuovo giorno liturgico (feria), che fanno sette in totale. Essi sono: i Salmi I, XXVI, XXXVII, LII, LXVIII, LXXX e XCVII, dove il Salmo I marca la Domenica, il Salmo XXVI il Lunedi e così via, fino alla fine della settimana liturgica. La decorazione figurale è stata data anche alla prima iniziale all'inizio del Salterio che si apre con un cosiddetto Invitatorium. Ogni iniziale figurale è descritta in dettaglio, e particolare enfasi viene data all’iniziale B nel folio 5, che rappresenta l'iniziale più ricca di tutto il Salterio. Nella sua parte inferiore c’è una rappresentazione di San Bernardino, invece di Sant'Antonio da Padova o di San Francesco come è stato suggerito. In questo lavoro, l'autore pubblica tutte le iniziali e le inserisce nel contesto dei rispettivi salmi. Il documento difrerenzia graficamente tre tipi di iniziali attraverso l'uso di differenti composizione. Le iniziali figurali, littera historiata, sono stampate in grassetto, il corsivo viene applicato alla littera dominicalis, mentre gli altri, 'littera ferialis', che costituiscono la maggior parte, sono stampati in caratteri regolare. Il colore rosso è utilizzato per una rubrica, che sono i sottotitoli che segnano le sezioni individuali del Salterio come l’Invitatorium, feria, inni, ecc. Questo permette anche coloro che non hanno il comando della lingua Croata di conoscere l'intero contenuto del salterio. Contrariamente all'opinione corrente che sostiene che il Salterio è l’opera di una scuola veneziana, e contrariamente a una visione isolata che è stato creato a Zara stessa, l'autore ritiene che il Salterio è stato creato nel cerchio di Bologna, molto probabilmente intorno al 1460 o appena dopo questa data.
