La siguiente investigación recupera, a partir del diálogo directo, la expresión viva del trabajo artístico y pedagógico desarrollado por Raúl Osorio a partir de las preguntas que, como egresado de la carrera de Actuación Teatral, le hiciera en torno al sistema de interpretación escénica que define su propuesta metodológica. Dicha expresión la pude conocer de manera directa a partir de mi experiencia académica, la que se vio reflejada en dos semestres de trabajo en las asignaturas de Actuación II y Taller Integrado III (Egreso). La memoria que a continuación presentamos, comienza introduciendo de manera sucinta pasajes correspondientes al primer periodo de formación de Osorio en la Universidad Católica, junto a sus incursiones paralelas en la pantomima y la danza. En ese contexto de formación, se destacan las figuras de Enrique Noisvander, Jaime Schneider, Germán Silva y particularmente la de Fernando Colina. Luego, se presenta una breve reseña de sus primeros trabajos de investigación y creación escénica en El Taller de Investigación Teatral TIT (1976–1980), para finalizar comentando sus experiencias formativas fuera del país: Actors Studios y Odin Teatret –principalmente-, deteniéndonos en mayor medida en su encuentro con Eugenio Barba. En el segundo capítulo, nos adentramos en el sistema de trabajo actoral desarrollado por Osorio: Principios Fundacionales y Método de Partituras, haciendo hincapié en el esfuerzo que Osorio hace por otorgar un carácter científico y sistematizado al problema de la actuación teatral, a partir de las diversas partituras que conforman el trabajo del intérprete: Partitura del Texto, Partitura de Acciones Físicas, Partitura Vocal y Partitura Emocional. Toda esta revisión es comprendida a partir de un principio orientador: el principio de Interdependencia. Finalmente, veremos la concepción pedagógica con que Osorio intenta plasmar su método, analizando los tres puntos esenciales que configuran –a mi entender- esta visión de trabajo: Rechazo, Desarrollo de los Sentidos y Vía Negativa, para de esta manera comprender en gran medida, y desde diversos ángulos, la visión metodológica que Osorio formula para el trabajo del actor.
