Abstract:
This thesis aims to explore and conceptualise the subjective experiences of participants in high potential coaching. A review of the relevant literature indicates that the first person voice is almost entirely missing from both academic and practitioner commentary on this topic, and is needed to provide dimensionality and insight into what can be contentious practices. A qualitative study was conducted, based on semi-structured interviews with twelve participants –six coaches and six high potential coachees – using an interpretative phenomenological analysis methodology. Key findings of this study are that: • The individual voices of participants in high potential coaching are highly diverse. Each actor in the process has a unique and dynamic view on the issues and responds from this unique perspective. • Being considered to be a high potential is not always experienced as an unmitigated good. It can involve risks of many kinds as well as opportunities. • Conceptual and theoretical challenges around talent management are reflected at the practice level. These factors can cause personal hurt and confusion, and can lead to cynicism on the part of people designated as high potential. • Reputation management can be highly important to those who wish to be considered high potential and can lead to some gaming behaviours which militate against the espoused purposes of talent management programmes. • Coaches do not appear to see high potential coaching as a distinctive area of practice. Rather, they appear to see their practice as capable of flexing to accommodate the high potential context. • Coaches do see the design and implementation of some talent development programmes as militating against good work by overly-constraining the coach’s freedom to act. • Coaches frequently conceptualise coaching as having the potential for the client’s sense-making and growth across their whole lives, but coachees do not always see it in this way. • Coaches experience coaching as highly pleasurable. For the most part, their sense of self and their sense of self-as-coach are indivisible. The coach is coaching. These findings illuminate a very under-researched area of both coaching and talent management practice. At a theoretical level, they provide the missing subjective voice in talent management debates. At a practice level, they have considerable potential to inform both the design and conceptualisation of talent development in organisations and coaching practice in this area.

De, la Cornillere Wendy-Lynne. "Participants’ experience of the Bishop Lavis Rehabilitation Centre stroke group." Thesis, Stellenbosch : University of Stellenbosch, 2007. http://hdl.handle.net/10019.1/1695.

Abstract:
Thesis (MPhil (Interdisciplinary Health Sciences. Speech-Language and Hearing Therapy. Centre for Rehabilitation Studies))--University of Stellenbosch, 2007.
Current emphasis for rehabilitation in South Africa remains on individual intervention within the move towards primary health care. Primary health care is the strategy that has been adopted by the South African department of health to bring access and equity in health care services. Even so, the burden of providing effective rehabilitative services with limited resources requires innovative strategies, such as the use of therapeutic groups, to address certain aspects of rehabilitation. These strategies must be proven effective. There is a paucity of literature detailing the uses of group therapy in physical rehabilitation, and particularly the use of interdisciplinary group work in stroke rehabilitation. Furthermore, evidence shows that stroke survivors feel ill equipped to return to their communities despite rehabilitation. Stroke is a major cause of death and disability in South Africa, and is a condition shown to benefit from rehabilitation. These factors led to the selection of the Bishop Lavis Rehabilitation Centre stroke group as the setting for this study, which aims to describe the range of experiences relating to attendance or non-attendance of those referred to this programme. This descriptive study, employing quantitative means (to describe the demographic details of the participants) and qualitative means (to describe the experiences of participants), was conducted with twenty participants. Data was collected by means of an administered questionnaire. Following that, a focus group discussion involving six participants was used to gather in-depth information. Quantitative data was analysed with the assistance of a statistician, utilising the computer program, Statistica. The Chi-Squared, Kruskal-Wallis and ANOVA tests were used, with p>0.05 showing statistical significance. Qualitative data was thematically analysed, whereby data was categorised by means of an inductive approach. The study population consisted of 20 participants, with an average age of 59 years, of whom 15 were female and five male. The stroke group provided meaning to participants on two levels. On a psychosocial level, the phenomena of universality (identifying with others in a similar position), development of socialising techniques, imparting information and cohesiveness emerged strongly. On the level of meaning related to stroke recovery, improvement in ability to execute activities of daily living, mobility and strength were most frequently mentioned. Transportation issues were most commonly mentioned as factors negatively influencing attendance. Staff attitude and activities of the programme were most often cited as positive factors. Given the positive response of study participants, and the programme’s ability to sustain intervention with limited resources, it was concluded that this programme has a valid place within stroke rehabilitation in Bishop Lavis. Recommendations in terms of the group programme included investigating methods of providing transportation, providing childcare facilities and expanding the content of educational sessions. Further recommendations were to maintain the positive attitude of staff and the current activities of the programme. Frequency of group outings should also be increased and compensatory strategies for inclement weather must be explored.

Full text
Abstract:
Yirra is a residential treatment program for young people who are experiencing problems associated with their substance use. The design of this program was influenced both by consultation with other youth services, and by current literature and theories regarding the most effective approaches to delivery of youth substance use services. Yirra has been in operation since February, 1992, and to date has not been formally evaluated. This research represents the first stage of evaluation of Yirra. The Phenomenological approach to enquiry was aimed at gaining some understanding of the experience of being at Yirra, from the perspective of the young people in the program. Over a three month period, all program participants who had been in the program for a week were invited to take part in taped interviews. Data gathering also included participant observation and program document analysis. As the Yirra program was designed specifically for adolescents, the phenomenological approach to data analysis also included analysis based on the theories of adolescent development of Piaget and Erikson.

Middleton, Kimberly Anne. "The Experiences of Participants in a Domestic Violence-Focused Couples Treatment Program: A Qualitative Study." Thesis, Virginia Tech, 1998. http://hdl.handle.net/10919/36853.

Full text
Abstract:
This study is a multi-case study which examines the experiences of participants involved in a 12-session integrated couples treatment program for domestic violence. Participants included 7 therapists and 5 heterosexual couples. 3 couples participated in individual couples treatment, and 2 participated in a multi-couple group treatment. 2 of the couples were Black, while all other couples were White. 4 out of 5 couples were married; one couple was in a committed dating relationship. All therapists were trained in marriage and family therapy. All participants filled out open-ended questions about their expectations for therapy and participated in two interviews to elicit their experiences of ongoing therapy. Interviews were tape-recorded and transcribed, and data were analyzed using the constant comparative method. The findings include clients' and therapists' expectations of therapy prior to treatment, and their experiences of therapy during the first half of treatment. Participants discussed which aspects of therapy were helpful, and which aspects of therapy were not helpful. In general, clients emphasized helpful therapist behaviors and qualities that seemed to facilitate their engagement in the therapy process. Therapists tended to focus on specific techniques they employed to facilitate changes in their clients. Participants most often criticized the treatment length as insufficient. Participants also shared their views about the racial difference between therapists and clients, or among group members in the multi-couple treatment group. Most participants believed that racial difference had no effect on the treatment. Finally, participants shared their opinions about traditional domestic violence treatment versus couples treatment of violence.

Grueber, Arno. "Outcomes and experiences of participants of the Activity Based Experience (ABE) Programme at Richmond Services Limited: a mixed methods study." Thesis, University of Canterbury. School of Health Sciences, 2013. http://hdl.handle.net/10092/9120.

Full text
Abstract:
Objectives: Evidence suggests that physical activity reduces symptoms of clinical anxiety and depression, however, very little research has been published about service user’s experiences with physical activity interventions. The ABE Programme is a client-centred, individualised physical activity intervention for people with mental illness delivered by non-government organisation Richmond Services Limited. The objectives of this study were to investigate service users’ outcomes, experiences, barriers to physical activity and contributing factors for physical activity adherence, to make recommendations for health policy, community development, service improvements and further research. Methods: An explanatory concurrent mixed methods design was applied: for the quantitative component a simple quasi-experimental reversal study to analyse participants’ physical (blood pressure, body weight), mental (self-esteem, mental well-being) measures, physical activity level and smoking status; for the qualitative component a descriptive study conducting semi-structured interviews with participants of the programme. Results: Thirty assessment results were available for the quantitative data analysis. Self-esteem, mental well-being and physical activity levels showed significant improvements, whereas physical measurements and smoking status showed no changes. Thirteen interviews were conducted. Qualitative findings reinforced and enhanced quantitative results. Participants’ experiences were physical, psychological and social. Support was important to overcome barriers. Multiple factors contributed to maintaining physical activity. Clients made suggestions related to the support, structure and contents of the programme. Conclusions: The ABE Programme contributes to the improvements of participants’ mental and physical well-being. Professional support is crucial. Improvements are recommended regarding follow-up support, group activities and evidence-based physical activity adherence methods. Emphasis for policy should be on early intervention, collaboration between services and physical activity promotion approaches on multiple levels. Further research is recommended, for example, to develop efficient and cost-effective physical activity adherence approaches. Future research could include single subject studies, surveys and focus groups studies within Richmond and across the wider mental health sector.

Frender, Jesse. "Exploring the experience of adult participants in therapeutic enactment, a group-based trauma intervention." Thesis, University of British Columbia, 2014. http://hdl.handle.net/2429/47072.

Full text
Abstract:
Counselling and psychotherapy literature frequently reports that group-based interventions are effective and appropriate for addressing psychological trauma. Predominantly, this literature is grounded in theoretical assumptions about the process of healing trauma, or the clinical experiences and observations of clinicians. Although a small and growing body of empirical outcome studies exists, virtually non-existent are investigations into clients' own experiences of the process of group trauma therapy. On the premise that understanding client perspectives is integral to refining intervention techniques and shaping future empirical research, the present study is an inquiry into participants' experiences of therapeutic enactment (TE), a multimodal group-based trauma intervention. Following their participation in the intervention, participants were interviewed using a video-assisted method known as interpersonal process recall (IPR), with the aim of accessing their experience in a more immediate, less retrospective way than more frequently used interview methods. The interview transcripts were analyzed thematically and are re-presented herein as three distinct accounts of experiencing therapeutic enactment. Insights for both clinical and research development are discussed.

Abstract:
This study explored long-term participants’ experiences of involvement in YouthMADE, a BC-based youth media program with a social justice education component. Three emerging adults who had been involved in YouthMADE since adolescence participated in semi‐structured interviews about their program experience. Results support existing research on benefits of youth engagement and participation in youth media programs, but also highlight complexities and challenges involved in the experience. Participant accounts describe the YouthMADE experience as transformative, in terms of self‐exploration, learning, and in development of activism and a sense of community within the program. Findings highlight importance of supporting and empowering participants within such programs and necessity for further research on the lived experiences of youth media programs from alternate perspectives.

Abstract:
Taking up a phenomenological-hermeneutical approach, this dissertation seeks both to widen as well as to improve the ways through which people participating in service encounters interact with environmental lighting. In this sense, the literature review focussed servicescapes as spatial representations whereby the physical environment of a service firm supports a drama where light is a crucial element. According to a standpoint which is both inter- and transdisciplinary, contributions from several disciplines - e. g. Biology, Medecine, Optical Physics, Quantic Physics, Environmental Psychology, Anthropology, Semiotics, Architecture and Scenic Arts - have been brought about to give access to the most relevant theories about light as well as to start filling up some extant research gaps. The field study was developed in thematic service stores. Both direct observation and qualitative interviews allowed to collect information from participants who had experienced one or more interactions as conceived in this study. Following basic principles from Content Analysis and Interparticipant Observation, the interviews were interpreted, classified and then used to generate several research propositions. The propositions were then analysed by 5 referees in order to be finally presented as propositive guidelines to a better understanding of lighting experiences during service encounters.

Abstract:
This study brings together the scattered body of criteria contemporary scholars have used to identify divine communications (a sub-category of religious and spiritual experiences), presented as a new Model of Academic Criteria for Divine Communication. It compares the scholarly criteria in the Model of Academic Criteria for Divine Communication to the criteria that participants themselves (thirty-two Catholic sisters) used to distinguish divine communications from other types of experience. On the basis of this comparison, it suggests a new, altered set of criteria for future use in studying divine communications, formulated as a Model of Participants\' Criteria for Divine Communication. It expands upon current research focused on the experiences of evangelical Protestants by providing the first scholarly report of modern American Catholic experiences of divine communications.

Wong, Kam Chung. "Participants' experience of service-learning in a self-financing post-secondary education institution in Hong Kong." Thesis, University of Bristol, 2013. http://hdl.handle.net/1983/e994870e-4478-4daf-89b3-091f3d52e5a7.

Abstract:
This study has examined, within the context of a post-secondary education institute in Hong Kong, the practice of Service-Learning as an educational initiative. A qualitative case study method was employed to explore the experiences of both the student participants and the staff members involved in the Service-Learning process. Data collection took place in the form of semi-structured individual interviews, focus group and student reflective journal. Eleven students from different academic programmes and at different HKQF levels are selected as the informants. In addition, three staff members of the organization were selected for interviews. In this study, benefits of Service-Learning for students are identified: (1) citizenship behaviors; (2) interpersonal development; (3) personal development and (4) intellectual development. The service experiences allow students to explore and experience different social situations and scenarios that they have never met in their classroom learning. The process will help students to develop their self confidence and social skills in relating to others. More importantly, Service-Learning will enhance students' competences and so with their employability after graduation. In searching for relevant service opportunities for the' student participants, the consideration of 'student ownership' is found to be very important. 'Student Ownership', on the basis of my findings, is enhanced by three factors: (1) freedom of choice in selecting service opportunities: (2) pre-service training and (3) students' autonomy in planning and designing the service projects. Moreover, student and staff informants indicate that support from the senior management of the College is a 'must' for any success in service projects. Service coordinators/ mentors have to create an appropriate learning environment for students. To create such environment, service coordinators/ mentors not only play roles such as advisor, coordinator, leader, trainer, information provider, project manager, but also play the 'change agent' role to review and change the formal curriculum and the policy and structure of the College. The present study provides a foundation for further research on Service-Learning in post-secondary education. A dynamic model for Service-Learning has been developed. In the model, the student participants, the service experience, the service coordinators/ mentors and the organization (contextual factors) need to be considered.

Full text
Abstract:
This study aims to explore the extent to which participating in a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme may result in shifts in people’s relationship with time, notably whether they become more present-focussed. The eight week MBSR programme advocates mindfulness, which is defined as paying attention on purpose in the present moment without judgement, as a way of reducing stress. The programme has been available in East London since 2009. A case study of eight MBSR programme participants’ experiences using narrative analysis was conducted. Narrative psychology and social constructionism provided the theoretical basis in which our storied lives are located in culturally inscribed narratives, with specific discourses around time and stress. Time discourses tend to pressurise people to believe that it is better to go about daily life at a fast pace, which requires significant hurrying and rushing with pervasive senses of time urgency. Stress discourse locates stress management within individuals. One-on-one semi structured interviews were held so that participants could reflect on their experience of time and the present moment orientation of the programme. Participants’ perceived a shift in how they experienced time with greater awareness of being present-focussed and they identified stress reduction benefits, which included feeling calmer, less panicked and more self-accepting. However, some of the participants maintaining the formal mindfulness practices like the body scan, meditation and mindful movement after the programme often proved difficult, as they were drawn back into their dominant narratives around time which were characterised by busyness, productivity and time scarcity.

Pavlov, Andrey. "Reviewing Performance or Changing Routines? An Analysis of the Experience of Participants in Performance Management Review Meetings." Thesis, Cranfield University, 2010. http://dspace.lib.cranfield.ac.uk/handle/1826/4576.

Full text
Abstract:
The problem examined in this thesis falls under the broad question of the nature of effect of performance measurement and management (PMM) on organizational performance. Responding to the unsuccessful attempts of the current literature to produce conclusive evidence of the effect of PMM on performance and building on the recent studies documenting the effect of PMM on organizational processes, the work reported in this thesis employs the organizational routines perspective as an analytical lens for examining the way in which a particular PMM practice – a performance management review meeting – affects organizational processes that generate performance. More specifically, the study uses Feldman and Pentland’s (2003) model of routines in order to explore the ways in which organizational actors experience the ostensive aspect of organizational routines in the context of a performance management review meeting. Based on two case studies conducted in the UK in 2009, the thesis develops a model suggesting that performance management review meetings influence the dynamics of organizational routines by affecting a number of specific processes that constitute the engagement of the participants at the meeting with the ostensive aspect of the routine. The results highlight the critical role of attention in these processes and suggest a number of ways in which the attention of the participants may be influenced. As such, the study explicates the micro dynamics of the link between a PMM intervention in the form of the performance management review meeting and the organizational processes that generate performance, thus making a step towards increasing the understanding of the direct impact of PMM on performance.

At the same time, the activities, which are designed for encouraging equipment of cultural development and evoking awareness of local recognitions, should also involve other culture-based factors such as enhancing social spirit and multigenous character in different places.” This research discusses the design and active use of the cultural passport. The main body of the research is the "cultural passport", this contains the culture passport itself, the publication subject and the actual utilization experience. The research goal is to distinguish the significance and application of the cultural passport, analyze the culture passport publication design and contents, and to discuss and survey the culture passport user's participation. The research technique uses document analysis and inquiry into the design of domestic and foreign cultural passports. Observation of the spirit and the connotation from those culture passports are made. Participation observation and semi-structured interviews are also part of the research technique. A personal experience of the researcher herself in participating cultural passport activities provides the depth of this research. Notes taken by the researcher along with semi-structured interviews with other participants utilizing surveys are used as first-hand information. Finally after analyzing collected documents, notes and interviews, the paper continues with further subject discussions. The research discovered will supply information and reference for the future to design and to carry out further cultural passport activities. Ⅴ The research material demonstrated that, the passport is part of the traveling materialization. The cultural passport is given in such a way similar to country passport. Various organizations publish activities according to differing themes and these can be used to record the actions of the users. There are three categories of cultural passports: The narrow sense culture passport, the generalized cultural passport and the nature traveling passport, the three combine together creates a unique and diverse combination. Abstract:
Although there are many how-to manuals on forming business/school partnerships, there is little valuative information on what actually takes place within them. This dissertation, a case study of a school-to-work partnership between an urban high school's business education department and the local business community, affords a practical insight into the dynamics of such a cooperative. A series of in-depth, phenomenological interviews were conducted with student workers and their workplace mentors. Their candid, powerful testimonies reflect the backgrounds, attitudes, and concerns that each brought to the workplace. Their personal voices express the relationships and interactions that defined their work experiences. Additional interviews with key figures in several similar contemporary programs confirmed that business/school partnerships are as complex and sensitive as the personalities of the individuals and the characters of the institutions that form them. Although all of the participants in this study attest to the value and importance of such partnerships, it is also evident that the demands of sustaining a successful program are daunting. This study suggests that implementing the business/school mandates as proposed in school reform legislation will be difficult, if not impossible. The evidence in this study illustrates that predominantly minority students from disadvantaged backgrounds can succeed in an initial work experience, can grow through that exposure, and can then create new personal visions for themselves. Of the twenty-five business students who participated in this cooperative program, over half entered a two or four year college upon graduation; six were offered a permanent position with a business partner. The director of the partnership that is at the core of this study, a committed teacher and a business owner, was available on a daily basis to provide students with personal guidance as they assimilated new experiences, faced unexpected challenges, or redefined new understandings. The overall findings substantiate the value of such consistent individual support for students in their first adventure into the world-of-work.

Taiwan is a subtropical island with diversified geography and nature resources. The weather is very warm year round. In addition, Taiwan’s government tends to promote coastal recreation in recent years. Therefore, there are several advantages to promote coastal recreation in Taiwan. The purpose of this study was to understand participants’ recreation motivation and recreation experience at Kenting during off-season. Also, the researcher analyzed the differences between participants’ characteristics and recreation motivation and the relationship between recreation motivation and recreation experience. The researcher conducted close-ended questionnaire to collect the data. Research subjects were selected by spirit of random of convenience sampling process. There were 400 questionnaires distributed and received 368 valid questionnaires. The response rate was 96%. The researcher used Important-Performance Analysis (IPA), t-test, one-way ANOVA, and correlation analysis to analysis the data. Based on the results, the main recreation motivation were “enjoying coastal landscape and activity”, “escape from the routine of life” and “like local features”. In addition, based on the evaluation of the participants’ prior expectation and on-site satisfaction, the researcher found that “natural resources and landscape”, “fresh air”, and “clear seawater” were found to be the most satisfying items and need to be continuously well-maintained. On the other hand, “adequate parking space”, “whether have medical treatment equipments”, and “adequate bathroom” were need to be improved. In conclusion, the researcher also found that males had higher motivation toward “improving self-ability and technique”, “enjoying coastal landscape and activity” and “traveling” than females. 15 ~19 years old participants had highly motivated by “traveling” than participants who are age of 40 or older. Also, 20~29 years old participants were significantly higher motivated than 40 or 40 years older ones in “escape from routine of life”. Single percipients had higher motivation of “escape from routine of life” a married ones with children. The over-night participants had higher motivation of “enjoying coastal landscape and activity”, “like local features” than one-day participants. Type of company as classmate, member of association are higher in “improving self-ability and technique”, “enjoying coastal landscape and activity”, “escape from the routine of life”, types of company as alone is higher in “experience the waters view and activity”, "traveling", "love the local special features" than others. In addition, it was positive correlation relationship between the recreation motivation and satisfaction. The participants who had higher motivation toward participating in coastal recreation had higher degree of satisfaction, especially “enjoying coastal landscape and activity” and “physical environment”. According to the conclusion, the researcher recommends that the best advantages of the Kenting coastal recreation area during off-season were “natural resources and landscape”, “fresh air”, and “clear seawater” have to be well-maintained. The area managers have to pay attention to the environment quality control and promote non-motorized watercrafts to reduce the impacts of the motorized-boats activities. Based on IPA analysis, the managers also need to improve the quantity of the parking space and bathroom as well as the medical treatment equipments to increase the satisfaction. For future study, IPA, LAC, and coastal recreation carrying capacity could be applied to other coastal areas in Taiwan.

This study aims to explore the reasons for the pupils to participate in the Fuzhi Larim class; the process of their participating; their studying contents, and their life experience after participating in the Fuzhi Larim class. This study chose four participants in the Fuzhi Larim class, and had in-depth interviews with them to collect data. After data analysis, the conclusions are as follows: 1. Reasons for the pupils to participate in the Fuzhi Larim class: One participant was eager to seek spiritual growth, and two of them were introduced by their relatives or friends. However, one of them was not willing, but to be forced to participate in the Fuzhi Larim class at first. 2. Process of participating in the Fuzhi Larim class: At the beginning of the Fuzhi Larim class, two pupils enjoyed their learning, but one felt serious about learning and was not so comfortable. During the process of learning, two participants were happy to learn, but one treated learning seriously. In particular, one participant was an atheist at first, and was forced to participate in the Fuzhi Larim class. However, through his constantly listening, thinking, and practicing; finally, he had a definite solution of Fuzhi Larim and continuous learning, which was an impressive learning process. 3. Learning in the Fuzhi Larim class: The Fuzhi Larim class welcomes all pupils as long as they want to learn. However, for the senior class, the participants have to be over six-five years old, and their children must be at least one member of the Fuzhi Larim class. The participants in the Fuzhi Larim class believe that the characteristics of their class are as follows: (a) study once a week (b) more like a study group (c) establish correct concepts (d) emphasize learning of being practiced in daily life 4. Life experience after participating in the Fuzhi Larim class: This concludes establishing opinions, changing thinking and converting behaviors; and the three can be preceded simultaneously. First, establishing opinions includes: feeling pains of transmigration, having faith in Karma, realizing that nothing is permanent in life, and creating infinite hopes in an eternal life. Second, changing thinking includes: reflecting on misconceptions, reflecting on bad behaviors, re-establishing proper intelligence, realizing the importance of good friends, and also expanding and upgrading the power of heart gradually. Third, converting behaviors includes: having compassion for sentient human, caring about colleagues sincerely, loving students we teach and treating others wholeheartedly based on a Bodhi heart. In life, appreciate teachers’ merits, make a decision based on the concepts of an eternal life, grasp time to make personal efforts to study, hold commandments and do works of mercy positively. Furthermore, love all living creatures, and try to release the sufferings of sentient beings with a mercy heart. Being a volunteer in the Fuzhi Larim class, and assure this is a way to clean crimes. Cherish learning groups with teachers and friends and have courage to deal with troubles and bad habits. Because of these good commandments to be promoted, life practice can be led to achieve Buddhahood. As a whole, the four participants in this study had more understandings on the adhmapurusa path and the madhyamapurusa path; therefore, their life practice times were also more frequently. In particular, they had more experiences and understandings about Karma on the adhmapurusa path. No matter they were at work, in life, or as volunteers, they would amend their behaviors in order to follow the Dharma commandments. 5. Practice in daily life after participating in the Fuzhi Larim class: This includes: being vegetarians and environmental protection. The four pupils chose to be vegetarians in their life diet. This was because they showed their mercy to all living creatures. Also, their physical conditions were getting better after becoming vegetarians. In addition, they led a life of environmental protection, and also lived a simple life gradually. They realized that material pursuit was endless. And the true happiness came from the wealth of the mind. 6. Construct life goals after participating in the Fuzhi Larim class: The four participants realized that they had to give up the desire about fame and wealth, and to search for the most valuable in life. Everyone has the hope of being a Buddha, and the four participants all treat being a Buddha as their ultimate goal in life. Finally, the researcher would discuss and focus on the research conclusions, and also makes recommendations for future researchers.
