Il saggio ricostruisce le ragioni dell'uscita dal Partito repubblicano italiano (Pri) di Parri e il suo contributo alla creazione di Unitŕ popolare (Up), cartello elettorale di ascendenza azionista che uně le ali sinistre del Pri e del Partito socialista democratico italiano (Psdi), staccatesi da questi partiti. La genesi di Up ha radici nel dibattito sulla legge elettorale presentata dal governo De Gasperi e promulgata nel marzo 1953. Detta dagli oppositori "legge truffa", essa sollevň profondi contrasti intorno ai connotati della democrazia pluralista e agli strumenti per difenderne l'integritŕ, in particolare nella "terza forza", l'area laica che operava per strutturare una proposta politica alternativa alla logica dei blocchi delineatasi a livello geopolitico. Anticomunismo e antifascismo polarizzarono il confronto. Pur avversando il sistema proporzionale vigente, Parri temeva che la legge favorisse l'avvento di un nuovo fascismo sotto vesti clericali, giacché garantiva un consistente premio alla coalizione che avesse ottenuto la maggioranza assoluta. Alle elezioni del giugno 1953 nessuna forza ebbe perň la maggioranza assoluta, Up vinse la sua battaglia e avviň un'originale parabola politica di cui Parri sarebbe stato protagonista.

Abstract:

This study aims to describe the spatial and temporal distribution patterns of Gobiidae larvae at a tropical estuarine system in south-east Brazil (Macaé). The samples were collected in six stations, through oblique hauls using a bongo net (330 µm mesh size), coupled to a flowmeter, during the night in the ebb and flood tides in March, July and October 2006 and in February 2007. In the Macaé River estuary was collected a total of 1,234 Gobiidae larvae, representing nine taxa. The highest densities occurred in the river mouth during the flood tide in the rainy season. The most abundant groups were: Gobiosoma parri, Gobionellus oceanicus and Ctenogobius boleosoma. Gobiosoma parri was also dominant at the Macaé estuary, which also presented higher densities in the coastal stations during the rainy season (March), both the flood as the ebb tide. Gobionellus oceanicus and Ctenogobius boleosoma were characteristic of the dry season in the mouth and river stations during the flood tide. The abiotic factors chlorophyll-a and temperature were considered biologically significant for Gobiidae larvae distribution. The spatial and seasonal variations together with the tide influence the distribution of the fish larvae Gobiidae family in the Macaé River estuary and its coastal zone.

Abstract:

Kali Lloyd is a very distinctive group of bathypelagic fishes with fragile bones in the cranium and recurved teeth, which are remarkably enlarged in some species. The genus has a worldwide distribution, being found in the subtropical to equatorial regions of the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific; one species is also found in the Southern Ocean. In this taxonomic revision, seven species are considered valid, two of them described herein: K. indica; K. kerberti; K. macrodon; K. macrurus; K. parri; K. colubrina, new species; and K. falx, new species. Kali kerberti is re-evaluated as valid and the senior synonym of K. normani. A key for the species with updated maps of distribution are also given.

Abstract:

Collections made by two deep-sea expeditions off eastern Brazil between 11° and 23°S, revealed the occurrence of a rich fish fauna. A total of 94 trawl stations were performed by the RV Thalassa and RV Astro Garoupa, at depths from 200 to 2300 m. The fishes of the order Ophidiiformes are reported upon here, including 23 species from three families: Carapidae (2), Ophidiidae (19) and Bythitidae (2). Of these, 15 species represent new records for Brazilian waters: Acanthonus armatus, Barathrites parri, Barathrodemus manatinus, Dicrolene kanazawai, Eretmichthys pinnatus, Holcomycteronus squamosus, Lamprogrammus brunswigi, Luciobrotula sp., Monomitopus agassizii, Neobythites monocellatus, Neobythites sp., Porogadus catena, Porogadus miles, Xyelacyba myersi, and Cataetyx messieri. Luciobrotula sp. represents an undescribed species. This paper also provides a checklist to and an identification key for all ophidiiform fishes from Brazil, totaling 45 species.

With this new edition, the journal renews the practice of translating into English a selection of research articles and shorter discussion articles that the journal has published, in Italian, in the previous year. This initiative continues to represent a valuable form of transnational dissemination of the research and the historiographical and methodological debates that usually appear in the pages of Italia contemporanea. O presente estudo teve como objetivo a elaboração de uma chave de identificação ilustrada para diferenciar as espécies de camarões marinhos Dendrobranchiata, com ocorrência no litoral do Estado de São Paulo até a profundidade de 40m. As 13 espécies apresentadas neste trabalho foram obtidas mediante coletas mensais durante os anos de 1995 a 2000 na região de Ubatuba, SP . Nesta chave estão incluídas as espécies de interesse econômico, como os peneídeos Xiphopenaeus kroyeri, Farfantepenaeus brasiliensis, F. paulensis, Litopenaeus schmitti, Artemesia longinaris e o solenocerídeo Pleoticus muelleri. Além destas espécies, também foram adicionados os camarões que não são alvos das frotas pesqueiras, entre eles, Rimapenaeus constrictus, Acetes americanus, Peisos petrunkevitchi e os sicionídeos Sicyonia dorsalis, S. typica, S. laevigata e S. parri. A chave proposta servirá como uma ferramenta no auxílio da identificação dos camarões Dendrobranchiata, quer seja por pesquisadores ligados à área científica, como também por pessoas relacionadas aos órgãos responsáveis pelo controle da pesca, principalmente, na época do defeso.

Abstract Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) 1 or 2 mutant gliomas have unique metabolic characteristics and DNA damage response. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy has been proven to be an effective treatment for IDH mutant gliomas. A key mediator of DNA damage response, Poly(ADP-ribose) (PAR) is regulated by opposing enzymes, poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARPs) that synthesizes PAR through enzymatic polymerization of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), and poly(ADP-ribose) glycohydrolase (PARG) that breaks down and recycles PAR. We recently demonstrated that combining PARG inhibitor (PARGi) and Temozolomide (TMZ) in IDH mutant cells drove an imbalanced sequestration of NAD into PAR, resulting in metabolic lethality through NAD depletion. Here, we sought to characterize the effect of combining PARGi and radiation. Isogenic pairs of IDH1-mutant glioma cells, alongside multiple IDH mutant patient-derived glioma cells, were treated with TMZ, radiation, PARPi, PARGi, and combination thereof. In contrast to PARPi which can have a “trapping” effect, PARGi monotherapy displayed no significant difference between IDH mutant and wild-type isogenic cells. However, we found a substantial augmentation of radiation cytoxicity when combined with PARGi, that was genotype-specific in IDH mutant glioma models, mirroring that seen with PARPi and radiation (Wang et al, Science Advances 2020). Unlike TMZ+PARGi, NAD was not depleted with PARGi and radiation. Conversely, the cytotoxic effect was partially reversed with either PARPi or IDH inhibitor, indicative of a key contribution of PAR mediated DNA damage signaling in the IDH mutant context. Therefore, these results support a model of converging vulnerabilities in IDH mutant cells, with PAR-mediated DNA repair mechanisms independent from NAD metabolism.In summary, this study demonstrates that the combination of PARGi and radiation regulates DNA repair pathways with cytoxicity specific to IDH mutant gliomas. Targeting PAR can potentially be a promising treatment for clinical translation in IDH mutant gliomas, minimizing the radiation effect to surrounding normal cells.

Keteladanan yang menjadi bagian dari konsepsi sibaliparri, selain sarat dengan nilai-nilai agama, juga bisa menjadi modal sosial dalam upaya pembentukan karakter manusia Mandar yang religius dan berbudaya, sebagaimana yang menjadi cita-cita luhur perjuangan pembentukan Provinsi Sulawesi Barat, yaitu terwujudnya provinsi malaqbi (bermartabat). Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif yang dimaksukan untuk menggambarkan implementasi nilai-nilai sibaliparri dengan studi kasus pendidikan keagamaan di Mandar menggunakan studi literatur. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan studi literatur atau dokumen, baik dari jurnal, makalah, buku maupun sumber informasi lainnya yang membahas mengenai implementasi nilai-nilai sibaliparri. Literatur atau dokumen adalah peristiwa yang sudah berlalu. Dokumen atau literatur bisa berbentuk tulisan, gambar atau karya-karya monumental dari seseorang (Sugiyono, 2012). Sibaliparri adalah nilai-nilai kebudayaan yang sudah lama mengakar dalam tatanan kehidupan sosial masyarakat Mandar. Sibaliparri berasal dari suku kata si yang artinya saling, bali yang berarti lawan, namun jika diawali dengan me menjadi mebali bermakna menjawab atau membantu, sementara parri berarti susah. Cet article entend étudier comment la socialisation politique influence la relation et la perception des membres du Parti socialiste français à l’égard de leur organisation. L’origine sociale, les interactions, les expériences, les positions dans le Parti jouent un rôle important dans la structuration de différents types de critiques. Finalement, la socialisation politique conduit à des rapports critiques au Parti qui ont des conséquences importantes sur les manières dont les membres participent. De ce fait, cet article souligne le lien entre la socialisation politique et les formes de participation militante.

Abstract:

La presentación clínica, curso de la enfermedad y resultado de la infección por SARS-CoV-2 en pediatría difieren de los observados en adultos. En una revisión de Hoang et al. se estimó que la prevalencia de las manifestaciones dermatológicas fue de 0.25 % de un total de 2445 niños con COVID-19 confirmada. Según Parri, se documentó 3 % en 100 niños. En la revisión sistemática de Shah et al. se analizaron 13 estudios que incluyeron 149 niños que cumplieron con los criterios de elegibilidad. La lesión maculopapular eritematosa acral fue la más común, también el eritema multiforme, el exantema de la varicela y las presentaciones similares a enfermedad de Kawasaki. La duración de las lesiones cutáneas fue de una a dos semanas en 43 %. La biopsia de piel de 18 casos reveló infiltrado linfocítico perivascular, infiltrado paracrino superficial y profundo y vasculitis linfocítica. La RT-PCR fue positiva en 13.8 %. Los marcadores serológicos analizados de virus de herpes simple y parvovirus B19 fueron negativos, y fueron positivos para Mycoplasma pneumoniae en dos de 20 casos. El mecanismo fisiopatológico de las lesiones en piel secundarias a infección por SARS-CoV-2 aún no se ha podido explicar; es probable que se trate de la combinación de uno o más mecanismos complejos, daños cutáneos directos inducidos por el virus, reacciones vasculíticas o lesiones indirectas o secundarias como consecuencia de una reacción inflamatoria sistemática. Se revisaron las publicaciones de 2019 a 2021 en PubMed como fuente principal de búsqueda, para lo cual se utilizaron palabras clave.

Abstract:

An experiment was conducted to determine the qualitative response of rough fescue (Festuca scabrella var. campestris) and Parry oat grass (Danthonia parryi) to five cutting frequencies and three cutting heights Beginning in mid-May, the same plants were cut every 1, 2, 4, 8, or 16 wk. during a 16-wk period, at heights of either 5, 10, or 15 cm above ground level. The treatments were repeated in 3 consecutive years on the same plants. Crude protein (CP), lignin, and calcium (Ca) were significantly greater for Parry oat grass than for rough fescue, which had greater acid detergent fiber (ADF) and phosphorus (P) concentrations. Increasing cutting frequency in the first year reduced acid detergent-insoluble nitrogen (ADIN), ADF, and lignin but increased CP and in vitro digestibility of dry matter (IVD) in both forages. Repeated treatment over 3 yr tended lo increase ADF and Ca but reduce CP, P, and IVD. In the first year of treatment, CP yields in rough fescue and Parry oat grass were greatest with 2 or 4 cuts during the growing season. However, in the second year of treatment, CP yield was greatest with one or two cuts in rough fescue and with four cuts in Parry oat grass. The data confirm the benefits of repeated grazing within a year to maintain high quality forage but demonstrate the need to limit the frequency of repeated grazing to avoid deterioration and maximize nutrient yield. Nutrient yields and, presumably, benefits to livestock would be greater at a lower grazing frequency on rough fescue than on Parry oat grass. Abstract:

Des prélèvements tissulaires provenant de l'oesophage et du diaphragme ont été collectés sur 400 moutons et 400 chèvres provenant des abattoirs de la région d'étude. Parmi eux, 36 présentaient des kystes sarcocystiques chez les moutons et 56 chez les chèvres. Ceux des moutons mesuraient 35,7 à 500 µm dans leur longueur. L'épaisseur de la paroi était de 2,4 µm. Sarcocystis tenella a été identifiée. Chez la chèvre, les kystes mesuraient de 98 à 700 µm avec une paroi de 2,7 µm. Sarcocystis capricanis a été identifiée. Pour les deux espèces, la fréquence des localisations était plus élevée dans l'oesophage que dans le diaphragme.

Abstract:

Cet article présente les résultats d'une étude sociolinguistique sur la langue non-sexiste menée auprès des partis politiques en France. L'étude porte sur les publications externes de cinq partis (Le Front National, Le Parti Socialiste, Le RPR, L'UDF, Les Verts). Dans un premier temps, les réactions des équipes rédactionnelles envers le concept de la langue discriminatoire ont été recueillies au moyen d'entretiens semi-structurés. Ensuite l'analyse d'un échantillon de publications a révélé comment et dans quelle mesure la politique rédactionnelle se traduit dans la pratique écrite. Il existe différents niveaux de sensibilité parmi les partis concernant l'éventuelle discrimination linguistique envers les femmes. En ce qui concerne la pratique rédactionnelle l'on trouve parmi les différents partis un éventail d'usages allant de l'immobilisme linguistique jusqu'à l'innovation lexicale.

L'articolo prende in esame il Sal 2, evidenziando anzitutto il principio dell'autorità regale presentato dal salmista. Il commento delle singole parti del salmo (vv.1-3; 4-9; 10-12) si incentra sulle relazioni tra Dio e il re di Israele, facendo emergere il ruolo di questultimo quale plenipotenziario e vassallo di Yhwh. Infine, l'analisi si sofferma sulla recezione del Sal 2 nel NT e in quattro Padri della Chiesa (Atanasio, Agostino, Ilario, Eusebio), ponendo in rilievo la particolare attenzione che l'interpretazione neotestamentaria e patristica dà al dominio di Cristo.

Abstract.In this paper we analyze intra-party determinants of dissenting behaviour using samples of British and Canadian government backbenchers. Controlling for the range of factors traditionally considered to be important predictors of dissenting behaviour, we find that the major factor determining cross-voting, next to MPs' tenure, is perceptions of isolation from party communication and influence channels. This effect is particularly visible among Labour MPs with long tenure, as their ideological position is more extreme than that of party leaders, which reinforces the effect of isolation. The results suggest that the difference of dissent levels between the Canadian and British Houses of Commons can be explained by the frontbenchers' approach to managing the major resource of the party, i.e., the backbenchers.Résumé.Cet article traite des déterminants intra-partis du comportement de dissidence en examinant des groupes de députés d'arrière-ban des gouvernements britannique et canadien. En contrôlant pour la gamme de facteurs qui sont traditionnellement considérés comme étant les prédicteurs importants du comportement de dissidence, nous trouvons qu'à part la durée de service du député, la perception d'isolement des voies de communication et d'influence du parti constitue le principal facteur incitant le député à voter pour un autre parti. Cet effet est particulièrement visible parmi les députés du Parti travailliste ayant de longs états de service, car leur position idéologique est plus extrême que celle des chefs du parti, ce qui renforce l'effet d'isolement. Les résultats suggèrent que les différences de niveaux de dissidence entre les Chambres des communes canadienne et britannique s'expliquent par la façon dont les députés de premier plan gèrent la ressource principale du parti, c'est-à-dire les députés d'arrière-ban.

ISSN 0804–4643 Maternal diabetes during pregnancy constitutes an increased risk for congenital malformations in the offspring. Previous studies have identified several serum components with teratogenic activity, e.g. glucose and β-hydroxybutyrate, but have also suggested that the teratogenic influence of the diabetic environment on the developing embryo is multifactorial and may depend upon changed concentrations of several maternal metabolites. In the present investigation we aimed to assess the teratological impact of small, concomitant alterations in a series of metabolites, particularly those not previously identified as teratogens. We thus investigated the influence of a mild diabetic environment by culturing gestational day-9 rat embryos in serum from insulin-treated diabetic rats for 48 h in vitro, and compared the embryonic outcome with that obtained after culture in normal serum and in serum from manifestly diabetic rats without insulin treatment. The glucose concentration was adjusted to 10 or 30 mmol/l in the cultures, and the embryos were evaluated with respect to crown–rump length, protein and DNA content, number of somites and malformation score (comparing major, minor or no malformations). We found that increased glucose levels caused embryonic maldevelopment in both normal and diabetic serum, and that despite normalization of the diabetic state, the serum from the insulin-treated diabetic rats caused more growth retardation than the nondiabetic control serum. The normalized diabetic serum was also more teratogenic than the normal serum at the low glucose concentration, whereas the serum from the manifestly diabetic rats tended to cause more dysmorphogenesis at 30 mmol/l glucose than both the normal and normalized diabetic serum. The results suggest that the teratogenicity of maternal serum in diabetic pregnancy is not mediated exclusively by increased concentrations of glucose and ketone bodies. The efforts to diminish the teratogenic effects of a diabetic environment should therefore include normalization of a multitude of serum factors, including glucose and ketone bodies. Au coeur de la stratégie conservatrice pour substituer à l’identité internationaliste (libérale) du Canada les fondements d’un nouveau « parti de gouvernement naturel », ce discours militariste tranche avec l’approche habituellement prudente des gouvernements précédents sur la question depuis un demi-siècle. Loin de contribuer à rallier la société canadienne, ce virage révèle et exacerbe les tensions au pays, faisant au passage une victime collatérale de premier ordre : l’unité nationale.

Abstract:

Abstract Poly (adenosine diphosphate [ADP]-ribose) polymerase inhibitors (PARPi) are becoming the standard of care for ovarian cancer. The greatest benefit has been observed in patients who have mutations in BRCA1/2 or related genes in the homologous recombination (HR) DNA repair pathway. Nonetheless, responses to PARPi were not durable, indicating that strategies to prevent recurrence and overcome resistance, such as combinations with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), are of high priority. However, most studies on PARPi have focused on the tumor itself and synthetic lethality. The immunological effect, particularly the effect on adaptive immune response, has been overlooked. PARP is expressed in almost all cells, and it regulates the transcription of various genes through poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation. Therefore, we hypothesized that PARPi affect the composition and functions of T cells in the maintenance therapy setting, and consequently reconstitute the anti-tumor immune response in ovarian cancer. Here, we collected serial peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from PARPi-treated patients and analyzed their dynamic immunologic changes using muticolor flow cytometry. The PBMCs were collected during PARPi maintenance therapy, and the time points included pre-treatment as well as 1 month and 3 months after the initiation of treatment. Olaparib or niraparib was used as maintenance therapy. First, the percentages of CD4, CD8, and FoxP3+regulatory T cells (Treg cells) were compared at each time point and by PARPi type. Interestingly, the proportion of Treg cells increased at 1 and 3 months after initiation, especially in the niraparib group. However, there were no significant changes in the proportion of CD4 and CD8 T cells. Second, we analyzed immune checkpoints and properties in each T cell population. We found that the PD-1 expression on Treg cells decreased after 1 and 3 months. Although the percentage of Treg cells increased, proliferative Ki-67+Treg cells decreased after 1 and 3 months, especially in the niraparib group. Third, intracellular staining assay was performed to measure functional changes of T cells during PARPi treatment. IFN-γ and/or TNF-α producing CD8 and CD4 T cells decreased after 1 month compared to pre-treatment. Finally, proliferative Ki-67+CD8 T cells and PD-1+CD8 T cells decreased after 72 hours of in vitro olaparib treatment compared to the control group. In conclusion, long-term PAPRi treatment may affect Treg cells and CD8 T cells. However, strategies to overcome negative effects of PARPi and their detailed mechanisms need to be further investigated. Additional data in this regard will be presented at the meeting. Cet article présente les résultats d’une enquête conduite auprès de la communauté francophone des affaires du nord-est de l'Ontario, au sujet des perceptions reliées à l'évolution économique de la région. Les données recueillies ont été traitées par l'analyse de correspondance multiple, une technique multivariée qui permet de présenter graphiquement les relations existant entre plus de deux variables qualitatives. Cette analyse a permis de dégager trois profils d'attitudes : à un extrême, les très petites compagnies du secteur manufacturier et les membres de la fonction publique manifestent des attitudes pessimistes. A l'opposé, les membres du secteur des services, particulièrement les propriétaires et les professionnels à l’emploi de petites et très jeunes compagnies de services et de franchises se montrent extrêmement satisfaits de l’évolution économique de la région. Entre les deux, les modérés ou indécis se retrouvent parmi les superviseurs de très grandes entreprises et parmi les gérants de coopératives.Ces résultats viennent confirmer les tendances retrouvées dans l’économie générale où l’on assiste, depuis les années 1970, à un recul sensible du secteur industriel et à une explosion des services comme générateurs d'emploi. Enfin, l’étude a révélé l’émergence d'une nouvelle classe de gens d'affaires, celle des directeurs et propriétaires de franchises et de PME des services qui, durant une période de changements économiques, on su percevoir les opportunités et en tirer parti.

RÉSUMÉLes grandes étapes de l'évolution des soins institutionnels aux États-Unis, de 1960 à 1985, ont été marquées par l'adoption de Medicaid et de Medicare (hausse rapide du nombre de lits), des tentatives de planification nationale de la santé (croissance ralentie du nombre de lits), et le programme de paiement prospectif (DRG) s'appliquant aux hôpitaux (proportion accrue de personnes handicapées parmi les patients). Les préoccupations concernant les politiques institutionnels, au milieu des années 80, étaient principalement: le juste équilibre entre les coûts privés et les coûts collectifs, l'appauvrissement d'un certain nombre de personnes âgées exigeant de longs traitements, l'amélioration de la qualité des soins, et un parti-pris en faveur du financement des soins institutionnels de longue durée en institution. Les changements de politiques survenus au cours des dernières années ont permis de régler les problèmes de qualité et le parti-pris institutionnel. Les questions touchant l'équilibre entre les coûts et l'appauvrissement sont demeurées irrésolues. Les centres d'hébergement approuvés par Medicaid et Medicare different des centres non-conventionnés en ce qu'ils offrent davantage de services, sont mieux pourvus en personnel infirmier et ont un plus grand nombre de résidents souffrant d'incapacité et de problèmes de comportement. En 1985, les principales sources de fonds servant à couvrir les frais des centres d'hébergement nationaux étaient Medicaid et les revenue personnels alors que le financement de Medicare était minimal.

Résumé Si le terme « présidentiable » désigne communément, dans la vie politique française, un candidat potentiel à l’élection présidentielle crédité de chances sérieuses de figurer au second tour et de l’emporter, il n’en existe cependant pas de définition juridique : est présidentiable celui qui est dit tel. L’espace médiatique est le lieu incontournable de cette labellisation, où se donnent à voir l’endossement de la présidentiabilité par le prétendant et la reconnaissance par ses pairs ; surtout, les journalistes comptent parmi les acteurs principaux de cette intronisation : plus que simples intermédiaires de la publicisation du jeu politique, ces derniers participent à la construction de la notion de « présidentiable ». Bien réelle, la labellisation des présidentiables par les médias est néanmoins à relativiser, dans la mesure où d’autres ressources politiques (parti, expérience gouvernementale) entrent en jeu : il s’agit plutôt d’une consécration, d’une légitimation, que d’une création.
