This work approaches the Overseen Curricular Training of the Bachelor Degree Course in Mathematics from Universidade Federal de Pelotas. The reflections were achieved by the contact with academic students from the Bachelor Degree restructured by the Resolutions 1 and 2 in February 2002 of the CNE / CP, precisely in relation to the trainee ship in Elementary and High School. The aim of this study was to hear the stories of the academic students who underwent traineeship in a specific school in Pelotas. Listening to the voices of these trainees I could understand the relation between Basic Education and University for the teaching training in the initial education (bachelor degrees), point out the actions that the University develops to prepare professionals for the day-to-day in a classroom and identify the importance of the traineeship for the teacher training. The methodology was qualitative approach in a study case, because I believe that in this modality coexist personal experiences of each subject, thinking and reflecting on fieldwork and the foundations of the theory that lead to a better understanding of what occurs in classroom space and the relation to university and public school. The survey results indicated that the subjects of the research have much difficult to perceive themselves as teachers, since the relationship between university and school is failure, which generate insecurity, denote lack of adequate preparation and reproduction of knowledge and models that are wrong to the current school reality. The situation is so grave that after the traineeship, perhaps for lack of an educational policy that meets their interests and needs, valorization and recognition of the profession, some of the academic end up choosing to continue their studies in stricto sense postgraduate. The main theorists and authors who support this work are: Anthony Nóvoa, Cleoni Fernandes, Denise Silveira, Dario Fiorentini, Selma Pimenta, Marcelo Garcia, among others.

With the effect of globalization, worldwide manufacturing vendors continually built up the factory in mainland China and utilized the plentiful manpower to provide the product for overseas. Due to the same communication language & similar culture merit, Taiwan manufacturing makers became the key player. Taiwan makers not only arranged the on job training for the employee, but also the overseas competence training. Unfortunately, the mainland China employee had higher resignation rate than Taiwan employee after overseas competence training. And this phenomenon cause the company organization arrangement difficulty & the conflict between employee & company. This study would like to investigate the relationship between overseas competence training & resignation rate. This study followed the system theory to define the competence training as 3 kinds of conflict including time-based conflict, strain-based conflict & behavior-based conflict. Based on the interplay & business model, this study defined the monitor factor that the competence training as the IV and the capability conflict as the DV. The competence training monitor factor are wage and organization management. The capability conflict included organization performance, job function and relationship. This study total issued 100 sets of questionnaire and retrieved 91 sets. The valid questionnaire rate was 85%. The result of survey found the competence training had the significant influence to the capability conflict. The wage had the positive influence to organization performance, job function and relationship. And we could found that the organization management also had the positive influence to organization performance, job function and relationship. A Study on the Training of Volunteer Chinese Teachers for Overseas Chinese Schools Abstract This study of teacher training used overseas Chinese schools as the teaching field of Chinese language volunteer assignments during summer vacation and conducted research and analysis on the planning and strategy principles and practices for pre-expatriate training courses. The relevant literature on teacher training theories and the pilot study served as the bases for the teacher training research theory and practical analysis and for the planning principles and strategy of teacher training, and through the practical course, this research conducted the analysis and discussion. The objective of volunteer professional Chinese language teachers is to give priority to Taiwanese students or graduates with a Chinese language department background. The short-term teacher training course is based on the professional Chinese language knowledge and ability students already possess. Through the overall plan of the course training in stages, strengthen the training of teachers’ ability to implement overseas Chinese school classroom teaching. In addition, through the four main courses of training practices: training preparation, teacher recruitment and interview selection, professional topic training course, and intensive teacher training, the study conducted an analysis of the teacher training planning principles and strategies. Finally, from the perspectives of “principle conception strategy,” “planning, application, and implementation,” and “evaluation and discussion,” this study proposes the discussion and recommendations of this teacher training research practices as a reference for developing future studies on teacher training. This researcher recommends that the planning of teacher training contents for pre-expatriates should have the function of training “articulation,” grasp the actual teaching needs in the teaching field, and focus on the suitable teacher qualifications to obtain valid targets of talent recruitment. The planning of training contents is based on the teachers’ actual supply and demand conditions. Through the training planning principles and strategy, the planning structure of the ideal teaching training should include a pre-training instructional seminar, topic training course, teaching practice training, teaching visits and observational training, pre-expatriate instructional seminar, and a homecoming volunteer service experience seminar and closing ceremony, which are strengthened through practical activities of peer teaching skill workshops. The study’s overall practical discussion and recommendations include the following: 1. Before formal training, an instructional seminar should be conducted. 2. Before the training course, a teaching preparation meeting should be held. 3. All kinds of overseas Chinese school volunteer training should be researched and developed. 4. Voluntary recruitment pipelines should be diversified. 5. A dedicated website information platform and computer e-applications should be set up. 6. A qualified overseas teaching manpower library should be set up. 7. Wastage of training resources should be avoided. Through the overseas Chinese education services, participants not only overcome cultural differences and language barriers, but also break though national borders and racial barriers and not only permit “He that travels far knows much,” but also put into practice the true meaning of “He that travels far serves many.” These are also the core values of volunteer teaching training.

As one of student teachers at Seoul Chinese Primary School in the same period, the researcher adopted qualitative methods to conduct field records and interviews. The long-term participation facilitated collecting all student teachers' training courses and tracking their growth after they returned to Taiwan. The study also investigated the ways that these participants developed their educational concepts. It aims to investigate the previous experience and assist student teachers who will attend similar projects at Korea oversea Chinese schools in facing potential problems. The study found student teachers could prepare better if they received mentor teachers’ help in the training stage. The support from intern school also helped student teachers’ early adaptation to teaching and local life. For adapting to the teaching environment, student teacher should have an open mind and a positive attitude towards their students. Moreover, student teachers who had more chances to deal with clerical work made greater growth and shown higher teaching competencies. The researcher further observed that the positive experience in Korea highly motivated student teachers to engage in education after they returned to the home country. In sum, the exchange of student teachers project in Korean Chinese schools helped student teachers’ adaptation, personal growth and future teaching engagement.

This study aims at the implementing degree and content of cross-cultural training, the performance of work, and the overseas adaptation of Thai Airway’s Taiwanese crews. By means of collecting and reviewing related documents, some hypotheses are induced, and this study hopes to serve as a reference for enterprise administrators. The empirical study indicates that the cross-cultural training helps crews acquire two kinds of ability: one is the informative ability which can be obtained via books or training programs; the other is the attitudinal ability which would improve Taiwanese crews’ attitude toward overseas work by way of adaptation training, culture simulation, etc., and make it easier to adapt to overseas life. Excellent cross-cultural human resource development is requisite for an excellent transnational corporation, which ought to carefully evaluate the regional cultures and form a complete set of programs in response to the job description, the regional circumstances and the personality of overseas staff. Thus appropriate persons can be appointed, trained and equipped with outstanding cross-cultural ability to improve their adaptation and performance in different cultures, and succeed the tasks.

The focus of this research project centers upon the correlations between the learning motivation and its satisfaction and career development of the students participating in the Overseas Compatriot Youth Vocational Training Program (thereafter OCYVTP or the Program). The survey-based research aims at all the participants of the 26th OCYVTP of Chinese Culture University (CCU) and Ming Chuan University (MCU), the number of which totaled 171. Situated in the contexts of assessment tables of learning motivation, learning satisfaction, and the status of career development as well as personal information, the project employs statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, chi-square test, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (one-way ANOVA), Pearson product-moment correlation, and hierarchical regression for comprehensive analysis and discussions of the information gleaned from the surveys. The research results are summarized as follows: 1.The highest learning motivation is inspired by “outside expectations,” while the weakest is found in inter-personal relations. Males have higher learning motivations than females in acquisition of knowledge and social services. Students aged between 21 and 25 are equipped with the highest learning motivation. 2.The most outstanding learning motivation is found in the Burmese nationals when nationality is taken into account. In terms of academic discipline, students majoring in Landscape Architecture and Interior Design have the highest level of learning motivation, while the Cosmetology and Styling majors have the lowest. 3.The degree of learning satisfaction of the OCYVTP students pertains to mediocre level leaning towards satisfactory. They are most satisfied with the instructors’ teaching and are least satisfied with the learning environment. The degree of learning satisfaction does not differ in accordance with sex and age. 4.When considering nationality, the most outstanding learning satisfaction is enjoyed by the Burmese, while the least is by the Indonesians and the Malaysians. They also differ in courses and in learning environment. In terms of disciplines, students majoring in Landscape Architecture and Interior Design have the highest level of learning satisfaction, while the Cosmetology and Styling majors have the lowest. 5.The status of career development of the OCYVTP students pertains to mediocre level. In terms of career identity and general career development, females generally perform better than males. And this circumstance does not vary because of age or nationality. In terms of disciplines, students majoring in Culinary Arts demonstrate better results of career development. 6.In terms of professional orientations, learning motivation, learning satisfaction and career development are generally better for those who opt to apply the skills obtained in the Program after graduation. 7.There is a significant positive correlation observed between learning motivation, learning satisfaction, and career development among the students of OCYVTP. 8.The factors such as “learning results” and “professional orientations” are the major determinants in the status of general career development of the students in the Program.

Full textThis thesis provides an overview of obstetrics and gynaecology in Australia from 1950 to 2010. The author was an active member of the discipline over that timeframe and draws on his professional experience during the period under review as one of the tools to shape a historical analysis and interpretation of the complexities and significance of change. The care of women is seen as critical to the survival of humanity but many historians do not give this subject a high priority. This thesis seeks to remedy that deficiency by providing a detailed review of the discipline during the marked increase in knowledge in medicine after World War Two, which resulted in a dramatic improvement in safety for mothers and babies. It also includes a detailed outline of the life-saving advances in the discipline over the past 60 years. The thesis also documents the impact of a rapidly changing Australian society on the discipline and its practitioners, by analysing the historical background of their education and training, and the necessary adjustments in mindset and practice of the older generations to the confronting social and cultural issues of the 1960s and beyond. Many of the controversies explored have a long history, and include the background of role delineation in the discipline, the increasing impact of legal issues, the feminist debate, the changing site of delivery, and interventions in obstetrics. But the growing awareness of ethical dilemmas, obligatory continuing professional development and bureaucratic intrusion into practice needed inclusion. A focus of the thesis is the manner in which all these issues affected the region where the author spent his practising life, illustrated by graphs, diagrams and private files acquired over that period. The thesis should be a valuable resource for historians and others interested in the medical care of women and their babies in Australia during the second half of the 20th Century.

This study is aim to investigate the relationship between expatriated training and expatriate benefit of supervisor and performance of overseas subsidiaries. The cross culture management is utilized as a moderator to examine the relationship be-tween independent and dependent variables. The supervisors expatriated to the mul-tination enterprises of America, United Kingdom, Japan, and Taiwan in China were selected as the respondents of this research. In the period of 2008-2009, this study effectively sampled 365 supervisors of oversea subsidiaries in China. The finding suggests that positive relationship exists between expatriated training of supervisor, expatriate benefits and performance of oversea subsidiaries in China. It reveals that cross culture management positively moderated the relationship between independ-ent (expatriate training and expatriate benefits) and dependent variables (perform-ance). More theoretical contributions and managerial implications are discussed in conclusion.
