Abstract:
Signet-ring cell carcinoma of the prostate gland (SRCCP) an uncommon and aggressive malignant tumour of the prostate gland which is characterized by histopathology examination features of compression of the nucleus into the form of a crescent by a large cytoplasmic vacuole. SRCCPs that have so far been reported have been either (a) primary tumours, metastatic tumours with the primary tumour elsewhere with the gastro-intestinal tract being the site of the primary tumour but the primary tumour could originate elsewhere, and additionally some reported SRCCPs have been classified as carcinoma of unknown primary. SRCCP could be a pure tumour or a tumour that is contemporaneously associated with other types of tumour including various variants of adenocarcinoma. SRCCP can manifest in various ways including: Incidental finding following prostatectomy that has been undertaken for a presumed benign prostatic hyperplasia, lower urinary tract symptoms, visible and non-visible haematuria, raised levels of serum PSA but some SRCCPs have been diagnosed with normal / low levels of serum PSA, there may be a history of dyspepsia in cases of metastatic signet-ring cell carcinoma in association with contemporaneous primary signet-ring cell carcinoma of the stomach or there may be a past history of surgical treatment for signet-ring cell carcinoma of the gastrointestinal tract, or bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract in cases of upper gastrointestinal tract and rectal bleeding as well as change in bowel habit for primary tumours of the anorectal region, retention of urine, and rarely a rectal mass in the case of SRCCP with an anorectal primary tumour. In order to exclude a primary signet ring cell carcinoma elsewhere, a detailed past medical history is required as well as radiology imaging including contrast – enhanced computed tomography (CECT) scan and contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (CEMRI) scan as well as upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy to exclude a primary lesion within the gastrointestinal tract. Diagnosis of SRCCP requires utilization of the histopathology and immunohistochemistry examination features of prostate biopsy, prostatic chips obtained from trans-urethral resection of prostate specimen or radical prostatectomy specimen. SRCCPs upon immunohistochemistry staining studies tend to show tumour that tend to exhibit positive staining for the following tumour markers as follows: PSA – positive staining for PSA has been variable in some studies, AE1/AE3, CAM 5.2, Ki-67 with a mean of 8%, PAS-diastase, Mucicarmine (50%), Alcian blue (60%), Alpha-methyl-acyl coenzyme A racemase (P504S), and Cytokeratin 5/6. SRCCPs also tend to exhibit negative staining for: Bcl2 (rare positive), and CEA (80%). Traditionally the treatment of Primary Signet-Ring Cell Carcinoma of the Prostate Gland has tended to be similar to the treatment of the traditional adenocarcinoma of the prostate gland which does include: hormonal treatment, radiotherapy, and surgery. Nevertheless, considering that primary SRCCPs and metastatic SRCCPs that have been reported in the literature have generally tended to be associated with an aggressive biological behaviour, even though there is no consensus opinion on the treatment of the disease it would be strongly recommended that these tumours that tend to be associated with rapid progress of the disease and poor survival there is an urgent need to treat all these tumours with aggressive surgery including radical prostatectomy plus adjuvant therapies including: radical radiotherapy, combination chemotherapy, selective prostatic angiography and super-selective embolization of the artery feeding the tumour including intra-arterial infusion of chemotherapy agents directly to the tumour, radiofrequency ablation of the tumour as well as irreversible electroporation of the tumour which should form part of a global multicentre study of various treatment options. With regard to metastatic signet-ring cell carcinomas of the prostate gland with a contemporaneous primary tumour elsewhere the primary tumour should also be treated by radical and complete excision of the primary tumour plus radical surgery and aggressive adjuvant therapy. Considering that SRCCPs have tendered not to respond well to available chemotherapy agents, there is need for urologists, oncologists, and pharmacotherapy research workers to identify new chemotherapy medicaments that would more effectively and safely destroy signet-ring cell tumours in order to improve upon the prognosis.

Abstract:
This article offers an approach through administrative and cultural history to the problems associated with gathering and processing data for the Spanish national census of 1920, and by implication for earlier Spanish censuses. It focuses on the Basque province of Guipúzcoa, making use of correspondence between the central statistical office in Madrid, the provincial jefe de estadística and the localities, and of reports on three problematic towns within the province. The issues that emerge regarding ‘undercounting’, the definition of administrative boundaries and the classification of demographic characteristics are set in the wider context of census-taking practices and problems elsewhere in Spain and in other cultures.

Abstract:
Retinal vasculitis (RV) refers to an entity in which the retinal vasculature is inflamed, frequently with indications of inflammation elsewhere in the eye. Non-infectious RV can be idiopathic or associated with systemic disease, ocular conditions, and malignancy. It can also be classified based on the vessel affected: artery, vein, or both. Due to the lack of strong evidence-based treatment trials and algorithms for RV, physicians must often rely on their experience, which creates great variability in treating this entity. This article provides an overview of various treatment modalities used in the management of non-infectious RV, with a focus on immunomodulatory therapies. We outline a potential stepwise approach of starting with steroids to control the acute inflammation and subsequently changing to immunomodulatory therapy (IMT) for long-term treatment.

Abstract:
SummaryThe family registration records from a village population in a small island of Japan are used to assess the effect of demographic differentiation within a population on genetic measures. When the couples studied are classified by birth cohorts and origins, wives of the couples where one spouse came from elsewhere were older at marriage and had a shorter duration of marriage or registration than wives where both spouses were natives of the village. The mean number of offspring is statistically smaller in the former except for the latest cohort, due mainly to out-migration during the reproductive ages which also resulted in low rates of marriage among the offspring within the village. This leads to a small effective population size and an increased likelihood of genetic drift in the overall population.

I have been thinking a lot about environmental pedagogy in American studies, especially since I started teaching a third-year interdisciplinary course, Climate Change & Culture Wars, which focusses on the post-1970s US. I wanted to know more about how others are approaching the topic as we face up to looming climate and ecological collapse. University teachers and learners across disciplines are reckoning with it, but what's going on in American studies in Britain, and what can we learn from each other and from teachers elsewhere? How is the crisis impacting on the framing of our disciplinary fields and how are we incorporating its intellectual and practical demands into pedagogic spaces and syllabi?

Abstract:
Nearly all the major urban planning initiatives associated with the ongoing transformation of Rio de Janeiro, such as the renovation of the port district, the creation of the Olympic village, and the opening of cross-municipal bus-rapid-transit lines, have been greeted by protests and criticism from architects and urban planners. One project, the Parque Madureira, a new green corridor in the city’s North Zone, has received great acclaim by Brazilian and international urbanists. Local residents seem to like it, too. Representatives of social movements, in contrast, point out that the Parque Madureira involved the same kind of favela removal criticized elsewhere. Is the Parque Madureira truly exceptional or does it merely look good in comparison to shortcomings elsewhere? What are its implications in the larger transformation of the city? This paper seeks to answer those questions by comparing the Parque Madureira both to other current urban interventions and to older parks, such as the Quinta da Boa Vista and the Aterro do Flamengo.

Abstract:
Abstract“Precision agriculture” was a favorite buzzword in agricultural discussions in the 1990s. Proponents of precision agriculture note its promises are twofold: economic benefits for the producer and environmental benefits for society. These benefits are to be achieved by improving the efficiency of input use, based on data obtained with global positioning systems (GPS) and geographic information systems (GIS) technologies. Although fulfillment of these promises has been mixed to date, it appears that “precision agriculture” will continue in the agriculture vernacular into the 21st century. In this article, we propose another sense of the term, and argue that precision agriculture, or at least long strides in that direction, is possible short of these highly complex methods and capital investments, through integrated crop management (ICM). As practiced by the producer and/or provided by independent crop consultants, ICM is one alternative to providing information-intensive management on the farm, and has proven efficiency of input use. That is, the promise of economic and environmental benefits holds true in a manner that makes it possible for any producer to implement “precision agriculture.” Using data from users and nonusers of independent crop consultants implementing ICM, this study reveals that several economic and environmental benefits are gained from the information and management recommendations provided by consultants. Pest and nutrient management recommendations have led to decreases in pesticide and commercial fertilizer use. For the majority of users, these input reductions have resulted in an increase in profits since hiring a consultant. Users attributed changes in total cost of production to their consultant's effectiveness, and some reported receiving double or greater return for every dollar invested in consultant services. The results confirm the important role that Iowa's independent crop consultants could play in agricultural production and environmental protection through their promotion of ICM activities. However, the scarcity of consultants in Iowa, and possibly elsewhere, presents a challenge within the industry. Addressing this issue may help in contributing to rural development, economic benefit for the producer, and environmental benefit for all of society.

Separation from the (evil) world based on 2 Tim 2.19-21 is a defining characteristic of exclusive brethrenism, both in its most extreme form, the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church, and in other exclusive brethren groups. I examine this text in its context and then critically assess John Nelson Darby’s reading of it, working from his translation and his comments elsewhere in his writings. Darby misread the text as separation from “evil people” rather than avoidance of wrongdoing, with disastrous consequences. I conclude with some reflections on how his reading of v. 19 arose and on the dangers associated with translation work undertaken by influential individuals working in isolation from other scholars.

Abstract:
There is a new phenomenon in the global arena: environmental refugees. These are people who can no longer gain a secure livelihood in their homelands because of drought, soil erosion, desertification, deforestation and other environmental problems, together with the associated problems of population pressures and profound poverty. In their desperation, these people feel they have no alternative but to seek sanctuary elsewhere, however hazardous the attempt. Not all of them have fled their countries, many being internally displaced. But all have abandoned their homelands on a semi–permanent if not permanent basis, with little hope of a foreseeable return. In 1995, environmental refugees totalled at least 25 million people, compared with 27 million traditional refugees (people fleeing political oppression, religious persecution and ethnic troubles). The total number of environmental refugees could well double by the year 2010, and increase steadily for a good while thereafter as growing numbers of impoverished people press ever harder on overloaded environments. When global warming takes hold, there could be as many as 200 million people overtaken by sea–level rise and coastal flooding, by disruptions of monsoon systems and other rainfall regimes, and by droughts of unprecedented severity and duration.

Abstract:
The submerged evergreen aquatic plant Myriophyllum heterophyllum is among the worst invasive species in Europe, causing severe problems especially in navigation channels but also lentic systems. This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview and update on the current distribution and risks associated with this species in Europe and elsewhere. We provide an evaluation of current identification keys since misidentification can underestimate the extent of its spread. In addition, hybridization with other milfoil species has been reported in North America but seems unlikely in Europe. We further describe in detail the ecology, specifically resource requirements and biotic interactions with other plants, herbivores and pathogens as well as the spread potential of the species. Good knowledge of the autecology and synecology of this species should allow some conclusions about environmental factors possibly related to its invasive growth and is mandatory for the preparation of species-specific management measures. Finally, we outline the status of regulations coming into effect in member states of the European Union (EU) and provide an overview of applied and potential management practices.

Abstract:
Due to the high levels of alcohol use, alcohol-attributable mortality and burden of disease, and detrimental drinking patterns, Lithuania implemented a series of alcohol control policies within a relatively short period of time, between 2008 and 2019. Based on their expected impact on alcohol consumption and alcohol-attributable harm, as well as their target population, these policies have been classified using a set of objective criteria and expert opinion. The classification criteria included: positive vs. negative outcomes, mainly immediate vs. delayed outcomes, and general population vs. specific group outcomes. The judgement of the alcohol policy experts converged on the objective criteria, and, as a result, two tiers of intervention were identified: Tier 1—highly effective general population interventions with an anticipated immediate impact; Tier 2—other interventions aimed at the general population. In addition, interventions directed at specific populations were identified. This adaptable methodological approach to alcohol control policy classification is intended to provide guidance and support for the evaluation of alcohol policies elsewhere, to lay the foundation for the critical assessment of the policies to improve health and increase life expectancy, and to reduce crime and violence.

Abstract:
Objectives The purposes of this study were to find out the recent trends in domestic group counseling research and implications for follow-up studies. Methods The authors searched for the subjects of “group counseling” or “group therapy” from 2011 to 2021 from RISS, selected 695 articles published in the Korean Research Foundation's registered (candidate) journals, and analyzed them according to the analysis frame of Kwon Kyung-in and Jo Su-yeon(2010). The articles were classified into outcome studies of group counseling, process studies, and other studies. Among them, outcome studies were classified into effect studies, studies using meta analysis, and program development studies. The effect studies were classified into total 15 items by adding 4 items(co-leader & observer, Cronbach α, data analysis method, theoretical approach) to 11 items of Kwon Kyung-in and Jo Su-yeon(2010). Process studies were classified into group process-outcome studies, therapeutic factors, case qualitative analysis of group process, outcome prediction from group counselor and client characteristics, and feedback. Finally, other studies were subdivided into overview studies, theoretical studies, and others. Results 604 outcome studies of group counseling, 76 process studies, and 15 other studies were classified. As a significant result of outcome studies, the characteristics of group members were diversified, and studies targeting the elderly, pair, and multicultural characteristics emerged. In the theoretical approach, cognitive behavior theory was the most common, followed by an integrated approach. As a significant result of process studies, studies targeting group counselors and case qualitative analysis of group process were the most common. Finally, in other studies, studies related to group counseling ethics began to appear. Conclusions The authors described the characteristics of group counseling studies developed after the research on group counseling trends of Kim Kay-Hyon(2001), Kwon Kyung-in and Jo Su-yeon(2010). Also the implications for future research were discussed, at the end, the limitations of this study were described.

Abstract:
Vaccines have taken the centre stage in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, and in reducing hospitalisation and associated mortality. Countries around the world are heavily dependent on the successful rollout of their vaccination programmes to open up the societies and re-start their economies. However, the success of any vaccine programme, to a large extent, depends upon the efficacy and safety of the vaccines. Given that UK has been way ahead in vaccinating its population, is considered a successful model compared to other countries in Europe and elsewhere and has a yellow card reporting system for adverse events, we use UK as an example to understand the side effects and fatal outcomes following vaccinations. Our results show that AstraZeneca seems to be underperforming in terms of overall reporting of minor adverse events, serious incidents and fatal outcomes following vaccination. The risk of serious anaphylactic reaction and fatal outcome was 1.36 and 1.17 times more in case of AstraZeneca vaccine when compared with Pfizer BioNTech vaccine. The analysis has implications for vaccine policies and programmes both at nation-state and global levels.

Abstract:
ABSTRACTA new rhynchonellide brachiopod has been collected from the Kahuitara Tuff (Campanian–Maastrichtian) of Pitt Island, Chatham Islands, New Zealand. Brachiopods are extremely rare in Cretaceous rocks from New Zealand, and this new genus and species is unlike any other rhynchonellide known from Australasia or elsewhere. Chathamirhynchia kahuitara is distinguished by its small size, strong ribbing, and well-developed sulciplicate folding, and internally by a large, robust cardinal process and raduliform crura. The shell structure of C. kahuitara is shown to be of typical fine fibrous ‘rhynchonellidine’ type. This brachiopod was probably strongly attached to volcanic rock or shells in a shallow-water, high-energy environment. Implications for the biogeography of brachiopods during the Late Cretaceous are briefly discussed.

SummaryThis paper examines the effects of a child's place of birth, mother's education, region of residence and rural and urban residence on infant mortality in Nigeria between 1965 and 1979, using data from the 1981/82 Nigeria Fertility Survey. Infant mortality rates declined in all regions between 1965 and 1979. Children born in modern health facilities, irrespective of their mothers' place of residence, experienced significantly lower rates of infant mortality than those born elsewhere. Logistic regression analysis showed that all other variables tested were also significant, although some to a lesser degree. Efforts to reduce infant mortality in Nigeria should include policies that rectify rural and urban differentials in the distribution of health facilities and encourage their use.

AbstractObjectivesTo estimate the dietary intakes of heterocyclic amines (HCAs), to examine the intakes in relation to socio-economics, lifestyle and other dietary factors and to compare the classification of subjects by intake of HCA versus intake of meat and fish.DesignCross-sectional analysis within the Malmö Diet and Cancer (MDC) cohort. Data were obtained from a modified diet history, a structured questionnaire on socio-economics and lifestyle, anthropometric measurements and chemical analysis of HCAs. HCA intake was cross-classified against meat and fish intake. The likelihood of being a high consumer of HCAs was estimated by logistic regression analysis. Dietary intakes were examined across quintiles of HCA intake using analysis of variance.SettingBaseline examinations conducted in 1991–1994 in Malmö, Sweden.SubjectsA sub-sample of 8599 women and 6575 men of the MDC cohort.ResultsThe mean daily HCA intake was 583 ng for women and 821 ng for men. Subjects were ranked differently with respect to HCA intake compared with intake of fried and baked meat and fish (κ = 0.13). High HCA intake was significantly associated with lower age, overweight, sedentary lifestyle and smoking. Intakes of dietary fibre, fruits and fermented milk products were negatively associated with HCA intake, while intakes of selenium, vegetables, potatoes, alcohol (among men) and non-milk-based margarines (among women) were positively associated with HCA intake.ConclusionsThe estimated daily HCA intake of 690 ng is similar to values obtained elsewhere. The present study suggests that lifestyle factors (e.g. smoking, physical activity, fruit and vegetable intakes, and types of milk products and margarines) may confound associations between HCA intake and disease. The poor correlation between HCA intake and intakes of fried meat and fish facilitates an isolation of the health effects of HCAs.

Abstract:
The North Pacific is the largest cold-water source of lineages spreading to other modern marine temperate biotas. How this status was achieved remains unclear. One hypothesis is that functional innovations of large effect, defined as departures from the norm in temperate clades and which confer competitive or defensive benefits, increase resource availability, and raise performance standards in the biota as a whole, evolved earlier and more frequently in the North Pacific than elsewhere in the temperate zone. In support of this hypothesis, phylogenetic and fossil evidence reveals 47 temperate marine innovations beginning in the latest Eocene, of which half arose in the North Pacific. Of the 22 innovations of large effect, 13 (39%) evolved in the North Pacific, including basal growth in kelps and bottom-feeding herbivory and durophagy in mammals. Temperate innovations in the Southern Hemisphere and the North Atlantic appeared later and were less consequential. Most other innovations arose in refuges where the risks of predation and competition are low. Among temperate marine biotas, the North Pacific has the highest incidence of unique innovations and the earliest origins of major breakthroughs, five of which spread elsewhere.

The mushroom-shaped, probably stalked body (peduncle attachment to body not exposed) resembles that of some living rossellids, especially Caulophacus. The sponge also shows prominent projecting pentactins and monaxon derivatives – a spicule type diagnostic of the Rossellidae among living taxa, albeit in a robust form not described from extant sponges, including Caulophacus or other pedunculate lyssacinosidans. Certain attribution to the Rossellidae is not possible from the single specimen, largely because of weak preservation of the primary spicule skeleton, but no other fossil or modern sponges show any significant similarity to it. Although similarly early relatives of the Rossellidae have recently been described from elsewhere, the new sponge is even more unexpected in being from a shallow-water environment, making the absence of rossellids through the rest of the Palaeozoic much more problematic.

Abstract:
Given the state’s growing prominence in the United States wine industry, paired with its relative obscurity, we explore the cultural and environmental transformation of the state of Texas from the perspective of the b(l)ooming wine industry. Using a qualitative, narrative approach, focused on the two largest and most productive appellations in the state, we form a framework for understanding the historical and contemporary context for wine in Texas. Through participant observation and targeted interviews with growers, winemakers, and other wine industry insiders, we uncover how wine has become a major part of the regional identity of the Texas Hill Country and High Plains. We find that, even though the best wines made in Texas are made from lesser known and harder to market varietals, Texans have embraced the wine (culture) produced in their state. Though, as elsewhere, the industry in Texas is complex and multifaceted, it is still evolving, and industry actors are focusing on making a high quality, tasty product in order to compete with other wine industry giants. Although growers in the Hill Country and High Plains face various challenges, these circumstances demand creativity. However, the challenging circumstances and accompanying creativity are precisely what drive the unique tastes of Texas wines, a reality the Texas wine industry has begun to embrace.

Abstract:
Although well over 1000 journal articles, conference papers, books, technical notes and theses have been written on the subject of information technology (IT) evaluation, only a relatively small subset of this literature has been concerned with the core issues of what precisely is meant by the term ‘value’ and with the process of making (specifically) IT investment decisions. All too often, the problem and highly complex issue of value is either simplified, ignored or assumed away. Instead the focus of much of the research to date has been on evaluation methodologies and, within this literature, there are different strands of thought which can be classified as partisan, composite and meta approaches to evaluation. Research shows that a small number of partisan techniques are used by most decision makers with a minority using a single technique and a majority using a mixture of such techniques of whom a substantial minority use a formal composite approach. It is argued that, in mapping the set of evaluation methodologies on to what is termed the investment opportunity space, that there is a limit to what can be achieved by formal rational evaluation methods. This limit becomes evident when decision makers fall back on ‘gut feel’ and other non-formal/rigorous ways of making decisions. It is suggested that an understanding of these more complex processes and decision making, in IT as elsewhere, needs tools drawn from philosophy and psychology.

Abstract:
Drivers of natural high-latitude biogenic methane fluxes were studied by combining atmospheric inversion modelling results of methane fluxes (CTE-CH4 model) with datasets on permafrost (ESA Permafrost CCI), climate (Köppen–Geiger classes) and wetland classes (BAWLD) and seasonality of soil freezing (ESA SMOS F/T) for the years 2011–2019. The highest emissions were found in the southern parts of the study region, while areas with continuous permafrost, tundra climate, and tundra wetlands had the lowest emissions. The magnitude of the methane flux per wetland area followed the order of permafrost zones excluding non-permafrost, continuous permafrost having the smallest flux and sporadic the largest. Fens had higher fluxes than bogs in the thaw period, but bogs had higher fluxes in the colder seasons. The freezing period when the soil status is between complete thaw and frozen contributed to annual emissions more in the warmest regions studied than in other regions. In the coldest areas, freezing period fluxes were lower and closer to wintertime values than elsewhere. Emissions during freezing periods were smaller than those during winter periods, but were of comparable magnitude in warm regions. The contribution of the thaw period to the total annual emission varied from 86% in warmest areas to 97% in the coldest areas, suggesting that the longest winter periods did not contribute significantly to the annual budget.

Abstract:
The paper outlines major German experiences that the influx of migrants entailed. Against this background, the author examines the public debate surrounding the issue. The chief notions which inform it include multiculturalism (Multikultur), parallel societies (Parallelgesellschaften ), leading culture (Leitkultur) and welcoming culture (Willkommenskultur). Their very wording is indicative of how important cultural issues are. Indeed, the concern with potential threats to German culture have been a principal theme of the debates. Other aspects, such as the impact on the economy, society, or security tend to be overlooked or treated marginally. This fairly unusual approach to migration problems should be attributed to the characteristics of the German nation, for which culture is a principal mainstay. After all, the Kulturnation was constructed around culture as a unifying element and has become the foremost component in German self-awareness. Conse- quently, the influx of people representing other cultures engenders deeper insecurity and greater fears about the future than elsewhere.

Abstract:
Spatial distribution and environmental assessment of heavy metals of the surface sediment samples collected from the Kongsfjorden system, Svalbard duringsummer months of 2011, 2012 and 2013were studied using grain size, organic carbon and metal concentrations (Mn, Cr, Zn, Co, Cu,Tiand Pb). The Inner fjord was blanketed by clay-rich sediments while clayey silt or silty clay was found in the Outer fjord. High sedimentation rate and the water column turbulence resulted in the poor preservation of the organic matter in the Inner fjord while high concentration of TOC in the Outer fjord sediments indicated high primaryproductivity.Further, in the Outer fjord, the concentration of metals like Mn, Cr, Zn, Co,Cuand Pb were found to be higher near the mouth of the fjord while the lowest concentrations were at its distal end. The Inner fjord was also characterized by a concurrent enrichment of these heavy metals near the glacier outlets with the lowest values occurring near the shallow sill separating it from the Outer fjord. The significant positive correlation of all the heavy metals except Pb in the outer and inner part of the fjord, among themselves and also with Ti corroborated their terrigenous source possibly derived from the rocks present in the catchment area through the glacier melt waters. While, uniform negative correlation exhibited by Pb with all the other elements may point to its source from elsewhere, indicating its source to be anthropogenic.

Abstract:
Abstract. Forest fires burn an average of about 440 000 ha each year in southern Europe. These fires cause numerous casualties and deaths and destroy houses and other infrastructure. In order to elaborate on suitable firefighting strategies, complex interactions between human and environmental factors must be taken into account. In this study, we investigated the spatiotemporal evolution in the burned area over a 50-year period (1970–2019) and its interactions with topography (slope aspect and inclination) and vegetation type in southeastern France by exploiting the geographic information system (GIS) databases. Data were analyzed for two 25-year periods (1970–1994 and 1995–2019), since a new fire suppression policy was put into place after 1994, which focused on rapid extinction of fires in their early phase. In the last 25 years, the burned area decreased sharply, and the geographic distribution of fires also changed, especially in regions where large fires occur (Var administrative division). Elsewhere, even though forest fires remain frequent, the total extent of the burned area decreased substantially. Fire hotspots appear closer to built-up areas in the west, are randomly distributed in the east, and they almost completely disappear in the central region of the study area where there is a history of large fires. Slope orientation presents an increasingly important role in the second period; south-facing slopes are preferred the most by fire, and north-facing slopes are preferentially avoided. Even though the slope inclination is less affected by the new firefighting strategy, low slope inclinations are even more avoided after 1994. The greatest proportion of the burned area is strongly associated with the location of sclerophyllous vegetation clusters which exhibit highly fire prone and expand in area over time. Natural grasslands are also preferred by fire, while broadleaved, coniferous, and mixed forest are increasingly avoided by fire.

Incorporated into Liverpool as part of the town’s southward expansion during the second half of the nineteenth century, the corner of Upper Parliament Street and Princes Road in Toxteth boasts three places of worship built to cater to the religious needs of those expected to populate the area.1 The sesquicentenary of one of these, St Margaret’s Church, provided an opportunity to examine documents relating to an associated church school and to the rediscovery of an almost-forgotten Church of England sisterhood which managed a local orphanage. Further enquiries uncovered the activities of other sisters working elsewhere in the town.2 This article will trace the arrival and activity of these communities between 1864 and 1900, ask why local historians have shown little interest in them and consider ways in which their foundation was a function of the development of Anglo-Catholicism in the city and intersected with the growth of opportunities for women.

Abstract Between August and September 1989, Russian-speaking workers in Moldova went on strike against a series of laws that made Moldovan the sole official language of the republic. While workers from across the republic participated, it was only in the Transnistrian region that a group such as the United Soviet of Work Collectives (OSTK) was able to use the strikes to usurp power. This article questions why the strikes destabilised the Transnistrian region but not the other predominantly Russian-speaking regions that participated. The author argues that there were three reasons for this. Firstly, local political elites in Transnistria were largely inactive, creating a power vacuum the OSTK was willing and able to fill. Secondly, the OSTK launched an effective propaganda campaign aimed at undermining people’s trust in existing institutions. Finally, the Russian-speaking inhabitants of Transnistria were more hostile to Moldovan cultural demands than their counterparts elsewhere in the republic.

The purpose of this study was to develop a method for the determination of antimony for occupational exposure assessment in the range of 1/10–2 of the proposed MAC values. The method consists of collecting antimony and its airborne compounds from an MCE filter, mineralizing the filter in aqua regia at 150°C, then determining the antimony content in the sample using atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) with flame atomization. The method for the determination of antimony is presented in the form of an analytical procedure, which is included in the appendix. Abstract Global environmental imaginaries such as “the climate crisis” and “water wars” dominate the discussion on African states and their predicament in the face of global warming and unmet demands for sustainable livelihoods. I argue that the intersecting challenges of water, energy, and food insecurity are providing impetus for the articulation of ambitious state-building projects, in the Nile Basin as elsewhere, that rework regional political geographies and expand “infrastructural power”–the ways in which the state can penetrate society, control its territory, and implement consequential policies. The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam should be understood as intending to alter how the state operates, domestically and internationally; how it is seen by its citizens; and how they relate to each other and to their regional neighbors. To legitimize such material and ideational transformations and reposition itself in international politics, the Ethiopian party-state has embedded the dam in a discourse of “environmental justice”: a rectification of historical and geographical ills to which Ethiopia and its impoverished masses were subjected. However, critics have adopted their own environmental justice narratives to denounce the failure of Ethiopia's developmental model and its benefiting of specific ethnolinguistic constituencies at the expense of the broader population.

Abstract:
This case study describes activities from the Dutch Association for Medical Polemology (IPPNW- affiliate NVMP-Physicians for Peace) from 1969 onwards, focused primarily on recent strategies, employed by civil society, to influence Dutch policies regarding the urgency of abolishing nuclear weapons due to their unacceptable medical and humanitarian consequences. By itself and together with other civil society organisations, NVMP promoted an active Dutch nuclear disarmament policy, specifically regarding the Non-Proliferation Treaty with its Article- VI Global Zero-obligations, and the United Nations’ Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW). Several achievements of the NVMP are highlighted, from the Medical Appeal (2015) to the 50th anniversary Congress (Hague Peace Palace, November 26, 2019) and its aftermath. After presenting his major findings and conclusions, the author shares some experience- based, policy-oriented recommendations about the specific physicians’ position and their medical-humanitarian message, followed by suggestions on strategies for reaching out to politicians, decision-makers, and statesmen that can help IPPNW affiliates elsewhere, and other civil society organizations, who are promoting a nuclear weapon-free world. Finally, the author petitions to repeat successful early 1980s Russian-American IPPNW initiatives, which were directly aimed at their political leaders. Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to analyze the positive and negative consumption perceptions formed by new senior golf enthusiasts using CIT. There were 20 participants in the study, and the data analysis used the categorization method suggested by Hoffman, Kelley & Rotalsky(1995). As a result of the study, First, negative perceptions of golf consumption were classified into three top categories in the order of ‘sad athletic ability’ (42.3%), ‘price dissatisfaction’ (36.5%), and ‘human service dissatisfaction’ (21.2%). Second, the positive perception of golf consumption was classified in the order of ‘saving consumption’ (36.5%), ‘meeting with each other’ (31.3%), and ‘pleasant charm’ (31.3%) as three top categories. In conclusion, the participants of this study, golf enthusiasts of the new senior generation, strongly showed an ego-centered consumption perception that prioritizes themselves over others, and health, fun, and competition were important psychological factors driving golf consumption.

Groups usually carry out science and decision-making activities involving geographic information. However, current mapping and related geospatial technologies are not group-friendly, and attempts to extend (or reinvent) technologies for group use have been largely ad hoc. Elsewhere, we have developed a comprehensive conceptual approach to geocollaboration that provides a framework for both studying collaborative work with geospatial information (and technologies) and the development of new technologies designed to support group work. We are applying that approach to a range of prototype systems that support same- and different-place as well as same- and different-time group activities. Our focus in this paper is on same-time, same-place group work environments that enable that work through use of large-screen displays supporting natural, human-system dialogue and multi-user interaction. Two environments are described and compared. Both make use of hand gestures as a mechanism for specifying display locations. One adopts a combined wall map/white board metaphor while the other adopts a drafting table metaphor. We focus on crisis management as a typical use case.

Abstract:
The impact of the Latin conquest of Constantinople has often been treated from either the perspective of the Western newcomers who established themselves in various Byzantine territories, or from the perspective of the Byzantines who left the regions that came under Latin control and who managed to establish themselves elsewhere (Nicaea, Epiros, Trebizond). In this contribution the momentous consequences of the Fourth Crusade are addressed from the perspective of those Byzantines that came under Latin rule. By zooming in on a selection of individuals and subgroups a picture is sketched of the varied Byzantine experience within the confines of the (Latin) Empire of Constantinople after 1204. Attention will be given to the various – political, religious, socio-economic and cultural – spheres of society. The focus is on the capital and the region around Constantinople, but other regions come into view as well (Thessaloniki, Adrianople, Philippopolis, Achaia/Morea, Attica, Beotia, Euobia, Crete, etc.). Chronologically this contribution is primarily limited to the period until the loss of Latin Constantinople in 1261.

Abstract:
Background: Given policy drives for integrated care and other reforms requiring service reorganisation this study analyses service reorganisation in the Irish health and social care system from 1998 to 2020 with the aim of identifying lessons for reform implementation and system learning generally. Methods: A mixed-method, co-designed study of three distinct datasets through in a policy document analysis, a thematic analysis of interviews with elite respondents, and a formal review of the international literature, sets the Irish reorganisation story in the context of services and system reorganisation elsewhere. This approach is apt given the complexity involved. Results: We find repeated policy declarations for forms of integrated care from the early 1990s in Ireland. These have not resulted in effective change across the system due to political, organisational and implementation failures. We identify poor clarity and commitment to policy and process, weak change management and resourcing, and reluctance from within the system to change established ways of working, cultures and allegiances. Given its narrative approach and identification of key lessons, this study is of use to policy makers, researchers and practitioners, clinical and managerial. It forms part of a bigger project of evidence building for the implementation of Sláintecare, Ireland’s 10-year health system reform programme. Conclusions: The paper captures important lessons for regionalisation of services delivery and other reorganisations in service-based systems more generally. We find evidence of a negative policy/implementation/practice cycle repeatedly missing opportunities for reform. Learning to break this cycle is essential for implementing Sláintecare and other complex reorganisational health reforms generally.

Sayyid-ul-Abrar (1948-79) alias, Ghar was one of the prominent proletarian poets of the former NWFP (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Pakistan, who’s poetry played a significant role in the evolution and growth of socialist realism in Pashtu literature. The historic Peasant Movement of 1970s especially the Hashtnagar Peasant’s uprising and agrarian struggle elsewhere in other parts of the province, were directly influenced through the proletarian poetry produced by Ghar and his contemporary Master Sultan Khalakyar. This study attempt to engage the selected poetry from Ghar’s two books; Sparghai [ Embers] and ‘Da Khwarikah Cheagha’ [ The cry of working class]as a case study to understand the links between poetry, art, and politics in a broader perspective of socialist realism. The important themes of these selected poetry, analysis of its contents with English translation, are also reproduced throughout this paper as evidence for better understanding of the subject interconnection of proletarian poetry with peasant’s struggle.

In this article based on the story “Sokolinets”, the peculiarities of linguistic and stylistic manner of V.G. Korolenko are reviewed, the author’s preferences in the choice of means of expression and intensification of features which provide stylistic effect are observed. First of all, the denominative vocabulary expressing the extreme (ultimate) psychological and emotional states of the characters is marked and classified. The pronoun words and particles, which often interact with each other, creating expressive constructions with the meaning of gradation, high degree of feature manifestation, etc., are considered separately. The word-formation means, participating in the realization of author’s emotionality, strengthening of substantial and expressive sides of the utterance, are singled out. Some peculiarities of V.G. Korolenko's idiostyle are examined; the stylistic means which increase the expressiveness of the work, optimize the rhythmical-intonational structure of the poetic speech, saturate it with the semantic and stylistic information are classified. The types of repetitions attracted by the writer for the realization of his creative task and their role in the realization of the stylistic effect are determined.

The family Pteromalidae (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea) is reviewed with the goal of providing nomenclatural changes and morphological diagnoses in preparation for a new molecular phylogeny and a book on world fauna that will contain keys to identification. Most subfamilies and some tribes of Pteromalidae are elevated to the family level or transferred elsewhere in the superfamily. The resulting classification is a compromise, with the aim of preserving the validity and diagnosability of other, well-established families of Chalcidoidea and forming the following families: Cleonymidae, Coelocybidae, Epichrysomallidae, Eunotidae, Heydeniidae, Megastigmidae, Neanastatidae, Pirenidae, Spalangiidae and Systasidae. From the methodological point of view, the research was conducted through the adoption of bibliometric approaches and content analysis. Bibliometrics is guided by the principle of analyzing scientific or technical activity through quantitative studies of publications, that is, through this approach that used databases, articles were published from 1979 to 2022 in indexed scientific research, scientific chapters of books, banks of theses, university dissertations, national and international scientific articles, scientific magazines, documents and even in general magazines when considered of interest. We used a reading grid that allowed us to use the livelihoods analysis framework. The results obtained after analysis show us that the 5 capitals which constitute the means of existence are affected by the effects of the crisis in their nature. To achieve peace some alternatives are proposed just as in other similar cases elsewhere, similar initiatives were developed.

Abstract:
The Constitution of the Republic of Albania sets down that the members of parliament must number 140, elected from multi-nominal electoral districts corresponding to the administrative division of the country and according to a proportional regional formula. In general, as elsewhere, the constitution does not reference the ratio between the number of members and the size of the population. However, members are representatives of the people and, as such, there is a direct relationship between the size of the population and the number of members of the representative body. This article starts from the idea that 25 years after the constitution's approval, it is time to reconsider the number of its members. The population is changing because of emigration and birth rates, and while emigrants are still part of electoral lists, the state has not given them the proper tools to exercise the right to vote. On the other hand, the proportional formula has created a lack of contact and confidence between representatives and the population. For this reason, the question addressed here is whether it is time to have fewer political representatives.

Abstract:
Yemen has harsh natural conditions that increase certain geological processes more than other regions, leading to a variety of geological hazards. Yemen’s typical topography is distinguished by coastal plains of the Red Sea and cliff foothillls, followed by mountains of the Arabian Shield. These types of geological hazards can be classified into slope stability, earthquakes, flash floods and expansive soils. The current literature review presents a description backed with examples of the certain geological hazards in Yemen. The obtained results indicate that further consideration and thought are highly required for semi-arid regions. National and foreign organizations have to collaborate together with other individuals to maintain the adjusted environmental system and reduce the potential geological hazards. Therefore, mitigation measures should be implemented to avoid and minimize these geological hazards.

Abstract:
Pest infestation is a major problem in corn cultivation because it causes a decrease in crop productivity or even crop failure. This study aimed to evaluate the level of crop damage caused by Helicoverpa armigera and Ostrinia furnacalis in three tropical altitude variations. Ten hybrid corns from cross-breeding strains and three commercial hybrid corn varieties were evaluated at three locations with different altitudes, classified as lowland (30 masl), midland (600 masl), and highland (1000 masl). The evaluation was carried out on the level of crop damage and plant resistance. The results showed that the highest percentage of H. armigera attack on hybrid corn was 75% at Caps 17B x Caps 23 (moderately susceptible) at the lowland and the lowest was 8% at Caps 2 x Caps 17A (resistant). The percentage of H. armigera attack was 100% at Caps 15 x Caps 22 (very susceptible) and the lowest was the evaluation of Caps 5 x Caps 17B was 58% (susceptible) at the midland. Meanwhile, the highest attack percentage was 92% on the Caps 17A x Caps 17B, Caps 17A x Caps 22, and Caps 5 x Caps 22 hybrids (very susceptible), while the lowest was 67% on the Caps 3 x Caps 17B and Secada hybrids (moderately susceptible) at the highland. O. furnacalis attack showed that all hybrid corns were classified as resistant except for Caps 5 x Caps 22 and Paragon was moderately resistant with a percentage attack of 25% at lowland. At the midland, Caps 5 x Caps 17B hybrid corn was classified as very susceptible with an attack of 92%, while Caps 15 x Caps 22 was classified as resistant with an attack percentage of 8%. At an altitude of 1000 masl, Caps 17A x Caps 17B, Caps 3 x Caps 17A, and Caps 5 x Caps 17B were moderately resistant with an attack percentage of 33% and other hybrids were resistant with an attack percentage of 8%.

Abstract:
Ayurveda is an ancient science dominantly focuses on healthy living and mindful life in contrary to other medical sciences. Ayurveda specifically uses herbs and herbo-mineral combinations for the treatment. The herbs described in the classics also include some Vishadravya (poisonous plants) as potent medicine. Anything that results in "Vishannatva" (stress) or "Vishada" (sadness) in the body is "Visha" (poisonous material). Depending on the intensity of toxicity, Ayurvedic classics have classified all poisons into two categories: Mahavisha and Upavisha (less potent toxin). Vatsanabha (Aconitum ferox Wall. ex Seringe) is classified under the Sthavara Visha (poison of plant origin) and Mahavisha. It is the only Mahavisha that is still recognised and available. All Vishadravya should be used after some specific Shodhana (purification). While administering Vatsanabha in the form of Ayurvedic medicines, Shodhana (purification) is an effective technique for minimising its hazardous effects. Although it is Vishadravya, the compounds containing Vatsanabha (Aconitum ferox Wall. ex Seringe) are listed in ‘Essential Ayurveda Medication for Ayurvedic dispensaries, operated under centrally supported programmes of the Government of India. This enlistment affirms its significance in other ways. Nearly 17 percentage of the formulations mentioned in RRS have Vatsanabha as their constituent. Modern research has already proven the analgesic, antipyretic, antioxidant, antimicrobial and many other activities of Vatsanabha. Thus, the present review is designed to extensively discuss and understand the safety profile of Vatsanabha and utility in various diseases, along with its probable mode of action.

Abstract:
Objectives: This study examined the association between self-disclosure patterns and loneliness in fourth grade children. Specifically, we aimed to explore the multidimensionality of self-disclosure and distinguish between social and emotional loneliness. Methods: The study included 514 fourth grade elementary school students residing in Seoul (male: 261). Latent profile analysis was used to distinguish different patterns of self-disclosure. Furthermore, hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to investigate the association between each pattern and loneliness. Results: First, children's self-disclosure patterns in fourth grade were classified into three groups. The straightforward group was characterized by high levels of depth, and moderate levels of amount, accuracy, and positiveness. Whereas the sugarcoating group reported the highest levels of positiveness, and moderate levels of amount, accuracy, and depth. However, the passive group was characterized by low levels of amount and depth, moderate levels of accuracy, and slightly high levels of positiveness. Second, the passive group felt lonelier than the other two patterns of children, and the sugarcoating group experience less loneliness than the other two patterns of children. Despite the straightforward group's tendency to openly share their inner selves with others, they experienced a higher level of loneliness than the sugarcoating group. Conclusion: This study highlighted the importance of examining children's self-disclosure patterns to alleviate their loneliness. Furthermore, children's self-disclosure can be classified into different patterns. The findings emphasized the necessity of developing intervention plans tailored to different self-disclosure patterns to effectively address children's feelings of loneliness.

Abstract:
Conflict is motivated by differences in the characteristics of individuals brought in an interaction. These differences are related to the physical characteristics including, intelligence, knowledge, customs, beliefs, and so forth. With individual characteristics in social interaction, conflict is a normal situation in each community. None of the people who have never experienced any conflicts between members or with other community groups, the conflict will only disappear with the loss of the community itself. Results of a conflict are: 1) Increase the solidarity among members of the group (in-group) which is in conflict with the group elsewhere.2) Rift between the warring factions. 3) Personality changes in individuals, 4) Property damage and loss of human lives. 5) The dominance of conquest even one of the parties involved in the conflict.   Attempts to defuse conflicts in achieving stability is called “accommodation”.The parties in conflict with each other adjust to the situation by working together. Forms of accommodation are: 1) truce, 2) Abitration, 3) Mediation, 4) Conciliation, 5). Stalemate, and 6) Adjudication. Young people or students have great potential in solving the nation’s problems, particularly issues related to the anticipation of social conflict, although there is no doubt that the problem of the young generation too much. The important thing is to be able to change his awareness of the construction of the object becomes the subject of development and able to anticipate these issues.

Abstract:
AbstractPurpose – This Research aims to understand what behavioural anomalies are in making investment decisions in the Indonesian Islamic capital market and what factors are behavioural anomalies in making investment decisions in the Indonesian Islamic capital market.Methodology - This Research uses a quantitative approach by applying Rasch analysis to measure five types of investment behaviour anomalies. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Findings - The endowment and its items are considered the primary considerations for investors. On the other hand, Anchoring and Adjustment of all the items are not considered the primary consideration. Meanwhile, Conservatism, Optimism and Hindsight spread to both categories of items. The difference in responses by gender was found that only on the item, Feeling greater comfort and optimism with their employer's stock, felt that investing there was less risky than investing elsewhere. Meanwhile, the difference in responses based on age was found that the age of thirties most often gave a different response from other respondents, especially in the indications of Endowment and Hindsight. In comparison, the difference in responses at the age of forties occurred in the items indicating optimism. Financial service providers are advised to offer the most suitable financial products based on gender differences. The most important thing is that in their thirties, an age group that tends to maintain their investment for a longer time and that investment decisions and risks in share ownership where they work are responded differently by gender. Keywords: Behavior Finance, Investment Decision, Rasch Analysis.

Abstract:
Winter wheat is one of the major cereal crops in China. The spatial distribution of winter wheat planting areas is closely related to food security; however, mapping winter wheat with time-series finer spatial resolution satellite images across large areas is challenging. This paper explores the potential of combining temporally aggregated Landsat-8 OLI and Sentinel-2 MSI data available via the Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform for mapping winter wheat in Shandong Province, China. First, six phenological median composites of Landsat-8 OLI and Sentinel-2 MSI reflectance measures were generated by a temporal aggregation technique according to the winter wheat phenological calendar, which covered seedling, tillering, over-wintering, reviving, jointing-heading and maturing phases, respectively. Then, Random Forest (RF) classifier was used to classify multi-temporal composites but also mono-temporal winter wheat development phases and mono-sensor data. The results showed that winter wheat could be classified with an overall accuracy of 93.4% and F1 measure (the harmonic mean of producer’s and user’s accuracy) of 0.97 with temporally aggregated Landsat-8 and Sentinel-2 data were combined. As our results also revealed, it was always good to classify multi-temporal images compared to mono-temporal imagery (the overall accuracy dropped from 93.4% to as low as 76.4%). It was also good to classify Landsat-8 OLI and Sentinel-2 MSI imagery combined instead of classifying them individually. The analysis showed among the mono-temporal winter wheat development phases that the maturing phase’s and reviving phase’s data were more important than the data for other mono-temporal winter wheat development phases. In sum, this study confirmed the importance of using temporally aggregated Landsat-8 OLI and Sentinel-2 MSI data combined and identified key winter wheat development phases for accurate winter wheat classification. These results can be useful to benefit on freely available optical satellite data (Landsat-8 OLI and Sentinel-2 MSI) and prioritize key winter wheat development phases for accurate mapping winter wheat planting areas across China and elsewhere.
