Abstract:
The thesis clarify the reasons of program construction and introduction of campaigns focused on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). On the basis of work accident rate statistics, conducted researches and investigation we have found out, considering OSH issues, that it is essential to change attitudes, approaches and thinking of the public, company management and employees. The status quo shows that people do not approve OSH issues. They take them as a burden. At this point it is impossible to reduce the number of work accidents and cases of occupational desease. Furthermore, it is impossible to achieve natural development of high-quality work culture and ease. The thesis also deal with prospective devices which could solve the current situation. These devices are mainly edification and OSH promotion. Again via researches and investigation it is being found out which specific tools of edification and promotion are the most effective ones in terms of content aspect. One part of the theory of these thesis is historical view on the process of work safety from the first extant evidence till the post-war situation in Czechoslovakia. Edification and campaigns where programs and campaigns are part of that, start from general marketing principles and directly, creation and introduction of campaigns is the matter of social marketing. That is why a part of the theory is focused on marketing principles which can be used when edifying and promoting OSH and also focused directly on social marketing and social advertising. One of the chapters specifies the process of implementation of campaigns focused on OSH. Concretely, it defines target groups, available tools and devices, planning, designation of campaign partners, principles of implementation and in conclusion it analyses how to assess the campaign and methods of getting feedback after the campaign. To demonstrate that, in the thesis there are described current campaigns focused on OSH issues in the Czech Republic and also cooperating with the European Union. The countries of the European Union have OSH at very high level and because our country is a part of this community, it is almost a duty to make the best of experience of these countries and to cooperate with them. The conclusion of the theoretical part deals with the attitude of the mentioned countries toward the issue.

Abstract:
Penile Carcinoma is a malignant disease with low incidence. 0,5 - 1,0 case occurs in population of 100,000 men in developed countries of EU and USA. However, in some regions of Africa and South America, 10% of men population suffers cancer disease. Histologically, it is in most cases spinocelular carcinoma usually originating in glans or sulcus coronarius. The development of the carcinoma is gradual and slow process and its spread can be horizontal, or vertical with worse prognosis. The development of the carcinoma is usually preceded by few years lasting precancerosis. Carcinoma begins as a small eflorescence type of ulceration or induration, very often itchy or bloody. The specific sign of penile carcinoma is long lasting stage of locoregional infiltration with metastases in local lymphatic nodes. This is also the most important prognostic factor of cancer. In this stadium, we can stop the development of cancer disease with radical lymfadenectomy that leads to the complete recover of the patient or has tendency to the long lasting remission of the cancer. The metastases spread in most of cases by lymphatic vessels, metastases by blood vessels occur very rarely. Therapy is usually performed by surgical removal of primary tumor with added radical lymfadenectomy. Surgery represents the most important method...

Abstract:
First part of the thesis presents foundations and purpouse of eco-counselling as a social institution in Czechoslovakia, the Czech republic and also in general. Data set consisting of queries sent to czech eco-counsellors throughout one year is described in the empirical part. It also presents in detail methods and execution of classification of more than 9 000 queries. Resulting structure is then analyzed thorou- ghly from different points of view. This synthetic and analytic process gives facts about clients' regions of interest in landscape, nature and environment protection and also everyday life. Analysis also reveals clients' true motivation and subjective or objective urge. Thus it can serve eco-counselling offices as a source material for a mid-term conception to increase its competence in environmental education. It can also be used for political and strategic decision making concerning eco-counselling in the Czech republic. Results show that majority of clients use eco-counsellor's service for ecological and environmental reasons, thus eco-counselling serves as an effective preventive en- vironmental policy instrument. As the central goal of the submitted diploma thesis, I set myself to approach the meaning of values in the work of Albert Schweitzer in the ethical and environmental context and to map this footprint in the non-profit sector of the Czech Republic. With this work, I would like to emphasize the importance of Schweitzer's ethics of respect for life for its constant relevance and monitor this influence across the spectrum of non-profit institutions focused on environmental protection. The added value of the work lies mainly in the presentation and own critical reflection of the main theses of this important figure of the 20th century and evaluation of its impact on the current state of environmental education, where for capacity reasons I limit myself to selected Czech institutions through a sociological method (a questionnaire survey). To support objectivity, I expanded the research with a probe into the media image of Albert Schweitzer in the Czech Republic.

Abstract:
My thesis aims to clarify issues regarding waste sorting and the willingness of the population according to the type of their residence to sort waste. The theoretical part focuses on waste management in the Czech Republic and neighbouring countries. The main objective was to describe the waste management in the Písek region. I concentrated on the description of particular technologies, especially recycling. Another chapter describes the relationship of the population to waste sorting, as human behaviour and lifestyle are the main causes of environmental damage. Recycling may be the right way to decrease the negative impact of human society on the environment. The practical part presents the results of the quantitative research conducted by means of a questionnaire. According to the respondents´ answers, I was able to conclude the differences of waste separation between the town and village. From the total of 247 respondents, 80 % sort the waste, 16 % sometimes sort it, and 4 % never do so. The categories of respondents differ in the amount of waste sorting, however, the difference is not statistically significant (Chi Squared test = 2,075; s. v. = 4; p = 0,722). Depending on the type of residence, the highest percentage 87 % - of waste sorting occurs in the housing estate category and zero percentage of respondents in this category never sorts. I was also concerned with the difference in the degree of sorting of individual commodities depending on the type of residence. It is significant only in the amount of sorting hazardous waste (Chi Squared test = 18,5; s. v. = 4; p = 0,001). In the case of other commodities, the type of residence does not affect the amount of their separation. It is obvious that the type of build-up area affects the way of life of the population and thus the amount of waste they produce. In general, the degree of diversity in respondents´ waste sorting depends on their education, experience, life priorities and public awareness of waste management.

Abstract:
This thesis deals with the analysis of the adult educational association activities in the Czech lands during the period of the monarchy ofAustria-Hungary (1848-1914). The Czech society was subjected to development being part of the multinational Habsburg Empire affected by the modernization process of the second half of the 19th century. The ideas of capitalism, industrialization and urbanization marked a series of changes in the economical, educational, political and cultural area. In the second half of the 19th century, the initially united national-emancipatory stream fell apart into separate trends of adult education. The process of centralization reached its climax together with the forthcoming adult education specialization. All the cultural engagement resulted in the founding of the Union of adult education (Svaz osvětový). The thesis takes a closer look at the physical education and women adult education activities and the national unions activities. An analysis follows of the main characteristics of the pre-war adult education: the intricate co-existence with the German nationals, the culture link to the political interests or copying foreign models. I carried out the research at the 1st stage of a Prague primary school. Quantitative questionnaire surveys, consisting of closed and open questions, were used as research methods. The results provide a comprehensive picture of students' attitudes and levels of awareness of healthy eating with regard to their own eating habits before the end of primary school and before transfer to secondary school or leaving for multi-year grammar schools. Abstract:
The study is focusing on comparison of efficiency and ecological impacts of photovoltaic power stations depending on their locations in the Czech Republic. The report gives us an overview of photovoltaic power stations efficiency and also their environmental value by minimising CO2 emissions due to replacing conventional energy technologies. The research is based on data taken from energy audits of photovoltaic power stations in Vidov (South Bohemia), in Hodonice (South Moravia) and Lahošť (North Bohemia). The measured data of efficiency and CO2 savings are compared to forecast data from numerical weather prediction models PVSYST, PVGIS and Meteonorm. The project revealed, that photovoltaic power stations efficiency directly depends on their geographic location. Decisive factor was sunlight. Paired comparison showed, that there is a difference between photovoltaic power stations in Lahošť, Hodonice (P < 0,01) and Vidov (P < 0,05). The difference between real and expected datas from each photovoltaic systems was conclusive (p < 0,01). Significant was also factor of month (p < 0,001).

Abstract:
Two faces of ZOO Perception of zoos from the view of their supporters and opponents The main topic of this thesis is a role of zoological gardens in the modern society, especially their importance to conservation of biodiversity as well as to progress in public education. I was interested not only in the opinions and the attitudes of the supporters of zoological gardens, but also in views of their opponents as the opposite side. In the case of the opponents I wanted to reveal if their criticism of zoos is based on negative emotions (bad feeling from breeding animals in captivity and thinking about their rights to freedom) or rise from real inadequacies (for example bad living conditions of animals). So in the theoretical part of the thesis I was concerned about contributions of zoological gardens in many ways as well as about their limitations, mostly mentioned by their opponents. To be more precise in drawing conclusions I made my own empirical research which was based on questionnaires and interviews with directors of certain zoos in the Czech Republic. The main aim of my research was not only a usual opinion poll, but also a detection of differences in opinions and personal characteristics between supporters and opponents of zoos. I also wanted to find out which aspects of zoos are highly...

Abstract:
The thesis addresses attitude changes towards environmental problems. It looks for the factors that affect the attitude change and compares their importance. With regard to particular factors it suggests how to work more efficiently on changing the attitudes. The theoretical part gives an overview of environmental education. It follows its history in the Czech Republic and abroad, and describes its current objectives, topics and methods. It also discusses today's Czech public perception of environmental issues. The key chapter of the thesis addresses attitudes. It describes their formation, structure and basic functions and most importantly the circumstances under which they may change. With the help of literature, it defines eight fundamental factors that act to attitude change, and finds examples in environmental education. At the end of the theoretical part, recommendations are offered on what tools we should focus when trying to change attitudes. The research part presents the inquiry among selected environmental education centres' staff. It figures out how they work with the issue of attitude changes and how they take advantage of their clients' feedback. In the first place, it uses their experience to find the most important factors in attitude changes . The conclusion compares the findings...
