Martin, Kyle A. "Harmony oriented architecture." Master's thesis, University of Central Florida, 2011. http://digital.library.ucf.edu/cdm/ref/collection/ETD/id/4795.

Full text
Abstract:
This thesis presents Harmony Oriented Architecture: a novel architectural paradigm that applies the principles of Harmony Oriented Programming to the architecture of scalable and evolvable distributed systems. It is motivated by research on Ultra Large Scale systems that has revealed inherent limitations in human ability to design large-scale software systems that can only be overcome through radical alternatives to traditional object-oriented software engineering practice that simplifies the construction of highly scalable and evolvable system. HOP eschews encapsulation and information hiding, the core principles of object-oriented design, in favor of exposure and information sharing through a spatial abstraction. This helps to avoid the brittle interface dependencies that impede the evolution of object-oriented software. HOA extends these concepts to distributed systems resulting in an architecture in which application components are represented by objects in a spatial database and executed in strict isolation using an embedded application server. Application components store their state entirely in the database and interact solely by diffusing data into a space for proximate components to observe. This architecture provides a high degree of decoupling, isolation, and state exposure allowing highly scalable and evolvable applications to be built. A proof-of-concept prototype of a non-distributed HOA middleware platform supporting JavaScript application components is implemented and evaluated. Results show remarkably good performance considering that little effort was made to optimize the implementation.

Zhang, Feng. "Secure Mobile Service-Oriented Architecture." Doctoral thesis, KTH, Kommunikation: Infrastruktur och tjänster, 2012. http://urn.kb.se/resolve?urn=urn:nbn:se:kth:diva-95328.

Full text
Abstract:
Mobile transactions have been in development for around ten years. More and more initiatives and efforts are invested in this area resulting in dramatic and rapid development and deployment of mobile technologies and applications. However, there are still many issues that hinder wider deployment and acceptance of mobile systems, especially those handling serious and sensitive mobile transactions. One of the most important of them is security. This dissertation is focused on security architecture for mobile environments. Research issues addressed in this dissertation are based on three currently important groups of problems: a) lack of an open, comprehensive, adaptable and secure infrastructure for mobile services and applications; b) lack of standardized solutions for secure mobile transactions, compliant with various regulatory and user requirements and applicable to different types of popular mobile devices and hardware/software mobile platforms; and c) resource limitations of mobile devices and mobile networks. The main contribution of this dissertation is large-scale, secure service-oriented architecture for mobile environments. The architecture structures secure mobile transaction systems into seven layers, called trusted stack, which is equivalent to ISO/OSI layered networking model. These layers are, starting from the bottom: 1) secure element (chip) layer, 2) applets layer, 3) middleware layer, 4) mobile applications layer, 5) communication layer, 6) services broker layer, and 7) mobile service provider layer. These seven layers include all necessary components required for implementation and operations of secure mobile transaction systems and therefore provide a framework for designing and implementing such systems.Besides the architecture, four types of security services necessary and critical for serious mobile transactions, have also been designed and described in the dissertation. These services are: (1) mobile registration and identity management; (2) mobile PKI; (3) mobile authentication and authorization; and (4) secure messaging. These services are lightweight, therefore suitable for mobile environments, technologies and applications, and also compliant with existing Internet security standards. Finally, as the proof of correctness of the proposed concept and methodology, a prototype system was also developed based on the designed security architecture. The system provides comprehensive security services mentioned above to several types of mobile services providers: mobile banking, mobile commerce, mobile ticketing, and mobile parking. These types of providers have been selected only as currently the most popular and representative, since the architecture is applicable to any other type of mobile service providers.

Architecture’s focus on the visual faculty omits potential dialogue with the tactile, auditory and proprioceptive ones. We have become a culture encouraged to live in that visual sense. The question is if Architecture can begin to engage the body and the sense for the user to have a more robust and fulfilling experience. This thesis rekindles dialogue with all sense perceptions with an architecture that engages the varying aspects of the built environment: texture, relationship and scale.

Abstract:
Service-oriented architecture enables web services to operate in a loosely-coupled setting and provides an environment for dynamic discovery and use of services over a network using standards such as WSDL, SOAP, and UDDI. Web service has both functional and non-functional characteristics. This thesis work proposes to add QoS descriptions (non-functional properties) to WSDL and compose various services to form a business process. This composition of web services also considers QoS properties along with functional properties and the composed services can again be published as a new Web Service and can be part of any other composition using Composed WSDL.

Abstract:
Context: Several examples of successful migrations of systems to Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) are presented in the literature. Some of the approaches also try to structure the process of migration to SOA. The reported migration attempts underline the role of architecture of migrated system, but they do not explore the architectural patterns applied in architecture of migrated systems while proper usage of patterns may simplify and improve quality of migration. Objectives: This work is aimed at elaborating guidelines that support migration from a system that is based on a chosen architectural pattern towards a system based on Service Oriented Architecture. Methods: Literature review is used as a basic method in the initial steps of the research, that is during investigation of existing techniques of migration to SOA, establishing procedure for selection of the migrated pattern and identifying building blocks of the target architecture. Results of the literature reviews are further analyzed in order to select the migrated architectural pattern and to elaborate the target architecture. The guidelines for migration are the result of the synthesis of the analyzed information. Results: The migration is realized as a translation between two pattern languages: the first pattern language describes the chosen architectural pattern–Model–View–Controller and the second pattern language describes SOA target architecture, expressed using SOA architectural patterns. The translation is defined by a set of migration guidelines. The approach is also illustrated with migrating an example student project. Conclusion: The study shows that the usage of an architectural pattern during migration allows to define the migration in a simple, structured and precise way using guidelines that represent a set of subsequent well defined steps that should be applied in order to migrate a specific type of legacy system.

Abstract:

In a service-oriented architecture (SOA), parts of software applications are made available as services. These services can be combined across multiple applications, technologies, and organizations. As a result, functionality can be more easily reused, and new business processes can be assembled at a low cost. However, as more functionality is exposed outside of the traditional boundaries of applications, new approaches to security are needed. While SOA shares many of the security threats of traditional systems, the countermeasures to some of these threats may differ. Most notably, eavesdropping, data tampering, and replay attacks must be countered on the message level in a complex SOA environment. In addition, the open and distributed nature of SOA leads to new ways of handling authentication, authorization, logging, and monitoring. Web Services are the most popular way of realizing SOA in practice, and make use of a set of standards such as WS-Security, XML Encryption, XML Signature, and SAML for handling these new security approaches. Guidelines exist for development of secure software systems, and provide recommendations for things to do or to avoid. In this thesis, I use my findings with regard to security challenges, threats, and countermeasures to create a set of security guidelines that should be applied during requirements engineering and design of a SOA. Practical use of these guidelines is demonstrated by applying them during development of a SOA-based system. This system imports personal data into multiple administrative systems managed by UNINETT FAS, and is designed using Web Services and XML-based security standards. Through this practical demonstration, I show that my guidelines can be used as a reference for making appropriate security decisions during development of a SOA.

Abstract:
In unity with the technological evolution the conditions for cost-effective IT environments also changes. In this context, the architecture of software systems is changing and the business system design has to follow this development in order to be competitive on the IT market.Implementations of Service Oriented Architecture, abbreviated as SOA, have in many cases proven to be profitable investments to a modern architecture. This thesis explains in which ways SOA may turn out to be cost-effective for companies, and identifies critical success factors that are crucial within a system transition to SOA.The combination of a theoretical literature study, analysis of published business cases and empirical studies provided a result in which SOA-based solutions was cost-effective by reduced costs, time savings and faster product development. The study identifies five main critical success factors which are directly related to how cost-effective an implementation of SOA may be.

De, Leusse Pierre. "Contextual governance for service oriented architecture composition." Thesis, University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, 2011. http://hdl.handle.net/10443/2109.

Abstract:
Currently, business requirements for rapid operational efficiency, customer responsiveness as well as rapid adaptability are driving the need for ever increasing communication and integration capabilities ofthe software assets. Functional decomposition into re-usable software entities, loose coupling, and distribution of resources are all perceived benefits of the investment on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). This malleability can also bring about the risk of a more difficult oversight. The same service is ideally used in different applications and contexts. This situation forces a supporting infrastructure to allow and manage the adaptability to these different contexts of use. In this thesis, the author proposes to govern such variations in a cost efficient way by composing the core business function offered by a service with other services implementing infrastructure capabilities that fulfil varying non-functional requirements. However, as the number of services increases and their use in different contexts proliferates, it becomes necessary to automate policy enforcement and compliance monitoring. Furthermore, the composition of services into different business applications over a common infrastructure intensifies the need for end-to-end monitoring and analysis in order to assess the business performance impact. Managing the full life-cycle of service definition, deployment, exposure and operation requires management processes that take into account their composition with the infrastructure capabilities that take of non-functional requirements. In addition, policies may change during the life-time of a service. Policy updates may be the result of various reasons including business optimisation, of reaction to new business opportunities, of risk / threat mitigation, of operational emergencies, etc. It becomes therefore clear that a well-designed governance architecture is a prerequisite to implementing a SOA capable of dealing with a complex and dynamic environment.

Building modern telemetry systems is fraught with challenges involving subsystem integration, the role and management of data, scalability issues, disparate technologies, concerns about cost-effectiveness and more. This article addresses today's challenges with a solution based on adopting a data-oriented architecture and relying on a standards-based, integrated high-performance middleware platform with standards-based programmable components. Key to the solution is integrating around the system information model instead of the application or technology infrastructure. A standards-based middleware infrastructure that breaks away from traditional assumptions is at the core of this approach. The article also presents successful applications of data-oriented architecture using standards-based middleware.

The paper surveys the particular problems, arising in the architectural design of computing systems, realized on VLSI chips. Particular difficulties due to limited on-chip density and power dissipation are discussed. The difficulties of the realization of on-chip communications between various subsystems (between themselves and between other offchip systems) are stressed. A number of design principles for the realization of on-chip communication paths is presented. Two design philosophies for the instruction set design in a VLSI environment are brought up: (a) The large microcoded instruction set, (b) The Reduced Instruction Set Computer (RISC) approach, based on the Streamlined Instruction Set Design. A survey of the author’s research group work in this area is presented. This includes the ZT-1 single chip microcomputer, RISC computing space studies, applications to a distributed traffic control and a la rge scale, reconfigurable communications system.

The intention of this thesis is to investigate methods in which deficiencies in construction documents can be addressed through the application of digital technology. These deficiencies take two forms. The first form relates specifically to the limitations of a paper based documentation system with regard to accessing information. This is becoming increasingly prevalent due to the increasing amount of documentation required for complex building projects. The second set of deficiencies is directly related to the time consuming nature of the construction document production process, recognizing that the majority of time is spent reformatting and redrawing previous details and specifications. The concepts of object-oriented programming and levels of abstraction are used as organizational structures to address these deficiencies. While current methods of documentation utilize more traditionally based organizational system, this thesis explored the use of structures inherent to computational media. Additionally, database structures were explored as a key component to information reuse in the documentation process. Two prototype systems are developed to propose alternative methods of documentation using computational media. The Building Interface is an interactive system for information access that utilizes varying densities of information and multiple modes of representation. The Drawing Assembler is a graphic search engine for construction details that links a building component database with a construction detail database through the intersection of dissimilar objects.

Abstract:
Nowadays, with the advent of deregulation, service providers aim to be more competitive and to attract more subscribers in order to cope with the high market pressure. For this purpose, today's providers support a user-centric approach that consists on quickly providing user oriented services. This user-centric approach becomes more and more significant with the emergence of the next generation networks and services (NGN/NGS) context. Within this context, where network convergence and service convergence are omnipresent, the end-user becomes more nomadic and claims the access to any service, anywhere, anytime and by any means. His goal is to dynamically compose a personalized service session while converging a set of multi-domain services (Telco, Web and IT). Then, he wants to maintain the continuity of this service session throughout his spatial and temporal mobility. Within the scope of this thesis, we propose a novel service architecture, namely the NGN/NGS Middleware, that adopts an horizontal distributed event-driven and service oriented approachn and that is based on a novel service model. In addition, we propose two solutions for service continuity management, that are based on virtual communities and on a semantic handover. These solutions take into consideration the user's preferences and ambiant context. At the end, we think we could answer some cloud computing challenges by integrating our solutions to manage cloud users

The adoption of Enterprise Architecture (EA) methodologies within organizations is causing an interest in the methodologies and supporting technologies available. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) supports EA in many facets. However, there is much suspension with regard to the relationship between EA and SOA within organizations as well as the guidelines that organisations should follow in order for SOA to enable EA. There are potential problems that may arise if this relationship between SOA and EA is not agreed to at the outset of implementing an EA. The purpose of this research is to investigate the guidelines that are needed for SOA to enable EA, in order to provide practical steps that organisations can use to begin aligning SOA and EA, ensuring that these initiatives are driven from a business perspective. A qualitative approach using a case study was used as a methodology for this research. The data collection was conducted using semi-structured interviews, and the guidelines that were derived were validated through a survey that was distributed to industry architecture practitioners. The contribution of this research was a set of guidelines that can be used for SOA to enable EA. Further research areas were highlighted, including investigating the mapping of the guidelines that were derived from this research, into the EA frameworks that exist such as TOGAF and ZACHMAN.

Abstract:
Reliable, secure and verifiable data sharing and exchange over the Internet has become a very important need, especially in the face of privacy regulations that have been enacted by governments. Sensitive data must be well managed when there is collaboration between individuals and organizations. This thesis investigates some collaboration models and systems; identifies several security and privacy issues in sharing sensitive data within a collaborative system; and proposes a Web-based and Web service-oriented approach to enable collaboration over the Internet while protecting and enabling the sharing of sensitive data. The proposed solution takes advantage of both service oriented architecture (SOA) and Web service, combining multiple access control strategies to share and protect sensitive data within a secure, flexible and scalable collaborative environment. The proposed framework is illustrated in the context of a collaborative online medical consultation system with sensitive data sharing. The collaborative online medical consultation system is developed with SOA, which integrated several collaboration Web services and security Web services.

Pringadi, Ronald. "A service oriented architecture for electronic negotiation servers." Thesis, University of Ottawa (Canada), 2006. http://hdl.handle.net/10393/27410.

Full text
Abstract:
As the scope of e-business and e-commerce becomes broader, electronic negotiation (e-negotiation) practice requires more attention through rigorous research by the academic community. Most of the research conducted today in the field of e-negotiation focuses on automated negotiation through strategy-enabled software agents, and on studying new agent and multi-agent frameworks that incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) learning techniques. One of the fundamental issues consists of devising a systematic design framework for e-negotiation platforms that support the interactions of these software agents. Ideally, such platforms should enable various negotiation protocols and offer high flexibility in specifying, implementing, and deploying them. The study of a properly defined e-negotiation platform or server is very critical, yet not enough research is being conducted in this field. The focus of this thesis is on the design, implementation, and deployment of e-negotiation servers, including: (1) a thorough study and classification of existing research projects on e-negotiation servers based on their design characteristics; (2) the specification of requirements for a generic e-negotiation server; (3) the design, development, deployment and testing of a generic e-negotiation server using a service oriented architecture (SOA) approach. We use a web service orchestration language to model and enact negotiation processes. The choice of an SOA approach is justified by the need to facilitate inter-organizational integration, in which business negotiation plays an important role. To validate our design framework we implemented an e-negotiation server using BPEL (Business Process Execution Language). We used the server to model and enact several negotiation scenarios. This enabled us to identify guidelines and templates that make the modeling task easier and more systematic.

Abstract:
Increasingly organizations are leveraging service oriented architectures (SOA) as the core infrastructure on which their business applications and processes are organized. The testing and debugging of applications within a SOA presents special challenges. A defect observed at the level of user interaction with the application could be: (1) a fault (performance, security, scalability, etc.) in the application or process logic; (2) a fault in any of the services used by the application; (3) an unintended interaction in combining services. The key challenge to be faced is how to ensure that organizations can manage the complexity of their composite applications and service-oriented architecture in a manner that addresses the engineering requirements of testing while providing tools that are efficient, productive, and reasonable for testers to learn. In our thesis we address these issues by introducing a 'grey box' test agent architecture and a model-driven approach to express 'grey box' test campaigns.

The gasoline prices have risen over $130 USD per barrel since the first time oil crisis occurred in 1973. The shortages of the natural resources cause not only the prices of raw material getting higher but also hard to get. The cost of the production and marketing increased tremendously. At the present time all enterprises focus on how to get the raw material they need on producing. According to the data currently issued by U.S. Census Bureau, among the manufacturing industries, the proportion of the purchase amounts of raw material, parts, and equipments to the total cost was over 50%. The processes of the procurement are complicated and long procedures. To simplify the procurement process and save the purchasing costs become the major topics that an enterprise has to face. Unfortunately, we are lacking a set of integral model for procurement management at present. The model of system architecture is simple and concise. It describes and represents all the viewpoints simultaneously. We use to construct the mold of architecture-oriented procurement management for the references of the enterprises procurement management. This research adopting the logic approach, based on system architecture, complements with Architecture Description Language as a tool to derive the Architecture-Oriented Procurement Management Model (AOPMM). AOPMM is an integrated model of the service and interaction of all structure elements, using Six Golden Rule to express explicitly the inner knowledge. And it can be used as graphic job specifications. To face the speedily changing environment of management, AOPMM helps managers more flexible and quick to adjust the relationship inwards and outwards, to sufficiently control the resources and exchange the ideas as to make the functions of procurement management easily to appear. The results of this research can be used as the references for the enterprises procurement model in the future, to improve the efficiency of the procurement management and decision making, reduce purchasing costs, and create the higher strategic values.

With the technology advance day by day, it is becoming the common way to accomplish the challenges of difficult engineering by project management method. Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) theory is competent, why is it difficult to push this theory when face practical works? Today, most project managerial are according to the nine major knowledge fields of PMBOK and five major processes, though it is the methodology of a theory, the practical demands for projects seemed too complicated. Because the project manager often unable to bring the skills into full play even be the problem of the project, and members of the project lack basic understanding for the project. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a simple but effective way, overcoming the Non-Architecture-Oriented Project Management (NAOPM) approach, to accord with the practices of the project. Architecture is structure and process in one unity. Architecture-Oriented Project Management (AOPM) is namely the project managerial model that project managerial structure elements and project managerial processes unity. From the structure view, AOPM can be resolved out a lot of structure elements and " People " is the most important structure element. The structure elements have their own operations and interactions among them generate processes. There are three golden rules to build the AOPM model. First, select the structure elements of project management. Second, set up the operations of the structure elements. Third, combine structure and process in one unity finally. Comparing AOPM with NAOPM logically, the former one could assign jobs in an easy way. Therefore, each member of the project could fully understand his responsibility and reduce the whole risks. Besides, AOPM is able to describe the entire project completely. Because of the ability to cope with the variable environment, it could reduce effectively the waste caused by repeat working and inobservance. For one simple and practical method to manage a project, and AOPM is approved in fact to be an extremely good one. For any enterprise, the key factor of a project’s success relies on the leaders and individuals. NAOPM failing to assign managed rules to each individual for a project is elaborated in the context. The major contribution of this research is to integrate structure and process in one unity. In the future, we suggest a software implementation of AOPM tool is developed. Afterward, we can use this AOPM software tool to guide an enterprise the planning, execution and management of a project.

Abstract Information systems play a very important role in today's enterprise, information systems and the operation model of the enterprise must be closely combined while the external environment is constantly and rapidly changing, and thus enterprise information systems must be frequently updated to meet the needs of the enterprise at any time. The enterprise information system architecture is complicated and difficult to maintain, therefore, service-oriented architecture is proposed to solve these kind of problems. The definition of SOA is that the relationship between services and services is an loosely-coupled and distributed architecture, each of services can operate independently without having to understand how its underlying architecture is constructed. The SOA's goal is to make information systems to achieve the agility of changing on demand, but was limited by the rigidity of the SOA framework in the past, and thus the SOA services are still loosely-coupled. This research proposed an idea about using aspect oriented programming techniques to improve the existing of SOA services. Aspect oriented programming (AOP) is different from the object-oriented programming on cutting out some duplication sub-function which exists across a wide range of services and has nothing to do with the business logic as a service module, therefore making the system more timely response to frequently and subtle changes, achieving the goal of the SOA standard(on demand). Therefore, this study focuses on the application of AOP in SOA, and verifies the results by building a prototype system with the function for staffs to take a leave, expecting through the applying of AOP can help the SOA services achieve the benefits of SOA.

As the globalization trend going on, the Taiwan’s steel import tariff has been reduced to almost nil customs duties after joining in the World Trade Organization. Taken to be a result of continuous investment in enhancing and enlarging output capabilities made by local steel manufacturers, the domestic steel markets are showing a tendency to a surplus status of supply over demand. The steel companies in Taiwan are faced with much stricter economic surrounding. Therefore, it is first priority that any enterprise must do well on internal improvement in order to keep its competitiveness. This research aims to setup Architecture-Oriented Production Equipment Management Model (AOPEMM). The results will be provided to the coated/galvanized plate steel products as reference of the Production Equipment Management. In this research, we first set up the roadmap of Architecture-Oriented Production Equipment Management Model. In the roadmap of AOPEMM, structure element diagrams, structure element service diagrams, structure behavior coalescence diagrams, and sequence diagrams are constructed accordingly. Through repeating of this construction, we then achieve an optimization of the AOPEMM. We compare AOPEMM with Non-Architecture-Oriented Production Equipment Management Model (NAOPEMM) using six measurement indicators, such as organization, personnel, task, technology, communication interface and integration of the resources. Strength of AOPEMM and Weakness of NAOPEMM are validated to support the argument of this research.

In the past several years, the usage of network is getting more and more popular and various types of network applications also have vigorous advancement. Because the benefits which network applications produced obtain a lot of enterprise''s attention, each enterprise is eager to introduce the network to unify each kind of information system, and expects to achieve the synthesis effect as well. At present, the network system has been an indispensable infrastructure in the enterprise, but how to make it effective becomes a tough issue in an enterprise’s business plan. In 1997, the International Standard Organization proposed the OSI Network Management Model, is also named FCAPS Model, to apply on the data network. FCAPS Model is mainly to define the functional scope of the network management system. Though it is easy to understand, it does not have the deeper explanations how to achieve these functions. Also, FCAPS fails to tell who should do what in a network system. As a result of such deficiencies, the enterprise often doesn’t know how to do to apply FCAPS into the planning of a network management system. This research develops a network management architecture description language (NMADL) by using the concept of system architecture to construct an architecture-oriented network management model (AONMM). AONMM is an integrated model which consists of the viewpoint of structure and behavior. By integrating the structure and behavior into one unity, it clearly and completely describes the network management system. Furthermore, this research analyzes the problems of FCAPS Model and compares it with AONMM to verify AONMM’s superiority. AONMM is a valuable referenced model for planning, analyzing and designing network management systems.

Summary In an era of knowledge economy, it is necessary to promote the efficiency of business. However, when a corporation decides to use an enterprise resource planning (abbreviated as ERP) system, it becomes a gigantic problem to choose either developing the system by themselves or buying a suit ERP software. At present, the maturity of ERP software on the market is able to fulfill the general demand of business. But enterprises in general need to face the situation that the procedure revises when having special demands. The suit ERP software on the market, will divide the system into several main module at present, usually can include financial management, stock control, sale management, procurement management, production management, human resource management. The suit ERP software on the current market, the major problem stems from three causes. They are process-oriented, structured method, and object-oriented. We call them non architecture oriented finance management ERP model (NAOFMERPM) This research develops an architecture oriented finance management ERP model (AOFMERPM) which solves the problems generated by NAOFMERPM. To validate this expression, we use the information system success model (abbreviated as IS Success Model) three factors, information quality, system quality, service quality to prove AOFMERPM is better than NAOFMERPM .

The production and marketing management is the primary activities of the enterprise value chain; what is more, the performance of it has become the most important key point of enterprise management to create profit and competition. Hence, by controlling the enterprise total resources and tightly negotiation between production and marketing departments, to reinforce the mutual understanding and achieve the best performance from limited resource, it has formed the essential field criteria for manufacture companies to manage in the variable business circumstance. Thus, for the present production and marketing management activities, it is the necessary to describe more clearly in organization interfaces among the departments, and reveal full scope of total resource. For top management give a strong support to make the right decision. This Architecture-Oriented (AO) study uses structure-and-behavior-in-one-unity, building up an Architecture-Oriented Production/Marketing (AOPM) management model, and establish the model build-up rules to provide the build-up sequence to follow. By introducing practical Production/Marketing management examples in implementation of Architecture-Oriented to actual cases, through compare the conventional Process- Oriented Production/Marketing (POPM) with the research AOPM to obtain a another brand new model for enterprise management consideration. This research is divided into three parts (1) concept of the Architecture-Oriented (2) establish the model build-up rules to provide the build-up sequence to follow (3) build up an AOPM management model. The main contribution is that AOPM management model contains structure view, behavior view, resource view, organization view and the other point of views. To compare the AOPM management model with the conventional POPM management model through different views in organization function, interface and resource consolidation, show that the APOM management model is much better then conventional POPM management model to meet enterprise management demand. This model is net only easy to establish but also in controlling the build-up rules. So it is helpful for enterprise to introduce Architecture-Oriented management model as a useful tool.

The global economic environment nowadays becomes so competitive, all enterprises suffer a challenging and confronting adversity. Due to the knowledge economy era, all enterprises need to emphasize the internal information management and application. Therefore, the Data Warehousing (DW) turns into the best solution for an enterprise. As each enterprise has different structure and behavior views, the DW definition is required to adapt to the enterprise environment. To resolve this problem, an enterprise must increase the business cost, and system managers are demanded to modify the programs repeatedly. Our research aims to assist the DW by defining a model of Architecture-Oriented Data Warehousing Framework (AODWF) which helps analyze and design the software with ease. The AODWF is to describe the structure and behavior in one unity. Using this approach of structure and behavior in one unity, developers would devise and adjust the DW more flexible and adaptable. This thesis distinguishes into three parts. The first part is to introduce the architecture theory. The second part is to explain how to build up an architecture model. The third part is to propose the AODWF. Inside the thesis, DW structure elements, operations, and structure and behavior in one unity are elaborated. Also, using AODWF assists system developers to construct the DW for an enterprise. In the future, we would further our efforts on the implementation, testing, cost and performance management of the AODWF. The DW contains other software, for example, Business Intelligent, Data Mart, Data Mining and On-line analysis processing, etc. We may construct these software using the architecture model, too. Key words:Data Warehousing, Architecture-Oriented Data Warehousing, Structure and Behavior in One Unity, Architecture Model.

A Service-oriented architecture is a software architecture that uses loosely coupled software services to support the requirements of business processes and software users. Resources on a network in an SOA environment are made available as independent services. This thesis proposes an information platform that provides a web site system which is derived from SOA concept. This web site follows a real-world condition so that people can access it. For example, users in an organization can login into this web site system and use these web services provided from this site. In this way, information and data can be exchanged and shared rapidly. This platform applies ADO.NET to connect other database. Besides, in security issues, login/ registry are used in this web site. And GMPP service is also included to alert users and administrator. And then, two cryptography mechanism AES and RSA are mentioned for encryption and decryption. IP filter module can reject IP which is not in security IP list. Additionally, SSL and VPN are applied here for security issue when transaction. For data tracking, an idea “Event-recorder” is used here, in this way, administrator can track and check whether the data was changed or not. Access Control allows users of different departments can access different data with their own access right. Finally, some data mining algorithm, k-means, such as kNN, PCA, SVM, are provided here for decision making when users need.

SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) is the trend in recent year. SOA is composed of standard components such as web services. It makes services be used through Internet flexible and reusable. UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration) is the standard specification for describing and discovering services. It provides the functions, which let Service Provider can publish Web Services, and let Service Requester can search Web Services and service’s information. By this mechanism, Web Services can serve their services to Service Requester. BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) is used to describe the business process including the interaction with other services. The business process can be executed by using Service Composition Engine and can be published to Internet as a Composite Service. It reaches the goal of Service Composition that enables one to aggregate existing services into a new composite service. We propose an approach to probe the QoS (Quality of Service) of services which be stored in UDDI Registry. And referring to ECNP (Extended Contract Net Protocol), we design a mechanism to find the candidate services groups of Composite Service, and select the suitable services from candidates. This mechanism ensures the reliability of Composite Service.

abstract: The Open Services Gateway initiative (OSGi) framework is a standard of module system and service platform that implements a complete and dynamic component model. Currently most of OSGi implementations are implemented by Java, which has similarities of Android language. With the emergence of Android operating system, due to the similarities between Java and Android, the integration of module system and service platform from OSGi to Android system attracts more and more attention. How to make OSGi run in Android is a hot topic, further, how to find a mechanism to enable communication between OSGi and Android system is a more advanced area than simply making OSGi running in Android. This paper, which aimed to fulfill SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and CBA (Component Based Architecture), proposed a solution on integrating Felix OSGi platform with Android system in order to build up Distributed OSGi framework between mobile phones upon XMPP protocol. And in this paper, it not only successfully makes OSGi run on Android, but also invents a mechanism that makes a seamless collaboration between these two platforms.

Post is a hundred years old store. It has been 125 years of history since the dynasty. Due to rapid social change, information technology advances, and the impact of the liberalization of postal services to manage the economy, international factors such as the ultimate goal of sustainable development, boost staff morale, postal keep pace with society. Architecture-oriented postal management model proposed in this study, but in theory and methods of enterprise architecture is based; then import structure acts as a conceptual framework. SBC-ADL, based on the structure-behavior coalescence, consists of six fundamental diagrams, one by one to complete the mold. This architecture-oriented modeling can clearly show the organization’s members, operating system, behavior and information flows of the business, with a simple, clear, and easy communication features allow managers and employees quickly and easily understand the business, the various departments and interactive behavior of the system. So that management can be more convenient, the staff can focus more on the business itself is responsible for the implementation, auditing behavior is more convenient, and thus enhance the competitiveness of enterprises. The main purpose of this study is for the postal administration to construct a framework driven by the postal administration model. This model will be the component elements of postal management organizations and postal management, component operations, the behavior of both the unity and the relationship between the interaction and information flow, so detailed description. Then the current flow in the non-architecture model used by postal management architecture model and completed with modeling, analysis and comparison of the organization to make the system.
