RésuméNous avons calculé les flux élémentaires holocènes et le taux d’altération historique dans trois sols forestiers par la méthode du bilan de masse de Brimhallet al. (1991 a, b). Les sols (Hermine : HER ; Rouyn-1 : RN1 ; Rouyn-4 : RN4) se distinguent par leur matériel d’origine et leur niveau d’exposition aux dépôts atmosphériques de métaux traces. L’indice de changement volumétrique (ICV) calculé avec Zr est positif (expansion) dans RN1 et dans les horizons B de HER et est positivement corrélé à la concentration en C organique et en oxydes de Al et Fe. L’analyse des profils permet de dégager trois groupes d’éléments. Un premier groupe (Ca, K, Mg, Mn, Na, Si) montre des concentrations qui diminuent de l’horizon C vers la surface du profil en réponse à l’intensification de l’altération des minéraux. Le second groupe (Al, Fe, P, Ti, Cr, Ni) présente des zones d’enrichissement dans les horizons B et des pertes dans le Ae. Ce patron mixte reflète l’effet combiné de la formation d’oxydes (Al, Fe, Ti) et de la rétention des éléments par ces oxydes (P, Cr, Ni). Le troisième groupe (Cd, Cu, Pb, Zn) affiche des flux fortement positifs dans les horizons de surface en réponse à la contamination atmosphérique des sols et à la bioconcentration des métaux traces. Les taux d’altération holocènes moyens des éléments majeurs correspondent très bien aux taux publiés pour une variété de sols forestiers de milieux comparables. Le classement des éléments en ordre de mobilité relative décroissante est : Mn > Mg > Ca > Na > K > P > Si > Al > Fe > Ti.

In the face of evidence of considerable word order variation in Mixe languages, this article posits a basic word order of SOV for Isthmus Mixe, analyzing the language as having an inverse voice category that partially explains the observed surface word order variation. Using functional criteria established for voice distinctions by Givón (1994), it is shown that the Object is higher in topicality than the Subject in inverse-transitive clauses, as attested by ellipsis of the Subject and by topicality measures of Referential Distance and Topic Persistence. When inverse-clause word orders are separated out from direct-clause word orders, and when discourse considerations are taken into account, the basic SOV order of the Isthmus Mixe direct clause becomes apparent.

Shortly after the Spanish conquests in Mesoamerica (or, as the colonizers termed it, New Spain), friars chiefly of the Franciscan and Dominican orders taught the art of alphabetic writing to the indigenous elite. As a result the colonial period saw the production of an extensive body of documentation—overwhelmingly notarial and largely legal in nature—by Mesoamerica's indigenous peoples, written in their own languages but using the Roman alphabet. The language best represented in the surviving material (and thus in the ethnohistorical literature) is Nahuatl, often misleadingly called Aztec but in fact widely spoken throughout central Mexico. Yucatec Maya places a distant second in terms of known records, probably followed in order of magnitude by Mixtec. While this article will focus primarily upon these three tongues, it should also be noted that scholars have investigated a small but significant body of Cakchiquel and Quiché materials from highland Guatemala, and that there are also known to exist unstudied sources in Chocho, Cuicatec, Mixe, Otomí, Tarascan, Totonac, and Zapotec; other Mesoamerican languages may also have been written alphabetically in the colonial period.

In order to study the influence of anti-mite and antibacterial fibers content on the anti-mite property of fabrics, yarns of antibacterial moisture absorption & perspiration elimination fibers, photocatalytic moisture absorption & perspiration elimination fibers and their blended yarns with hemp fiber, bamboo fiber, Tencel, cotton fiber were selected, and six sets of samples were manufactured. The anti-mite properties of these six fabrics were tested with the repellent method and analyzed, the relationship between the content of these two anti-mite and antibacterial fibers and the anti-mite property of fabrics was obtained. The experimental results indicated that with the content of anti-mite and antibacterial fibers increasing, the anti-mite property of fabrics improved gradually. When the content of antibacterial moisture absorption & perspiration elimination fiber was 100%, the repellent rate of the fabric for dust mite was 80.51%; when the ratio of photocatalytic moisture absorption & perspiration elimination fiber and bamboo fiber in fabric was 65/35, the repellent rate of the fabric for dust mite reached to 82.05%, the two kinds of fabrics both owned better anti-mite performance. The conclusions from this research can be used as a reference to design and develop fabrics for home textiles with better anti-mite effect and comfortability.

Dermanyssus gallinae (De Geer, 1778), poultry red mite or chicken mite, is haematophagous poultry ectoparasite. In poultry flocks small populations of chicken mite usually remain undetected. In order to supplement existing diagnostics we have investigated the method for its early detection. Investigation was carried out on 13 flocks, during two-year period, throughout Serbia and Montenegro. We have established that method for early detection of chicken mite can: improve the efficiency of existing diagnostic methods, that it is simple and reduces the period when parasites are hidden since it enables detection of small number of parasites before the population becomes visible. We recommend it to poultry farmers for regular control of the flock and control of the new flock, to veterinarians in poultry production as supplement to diagnostic methods: when suspecting the presence of Dermanyssosis in order to achieve early differential diagnostics, sampling of small number of chicken mite, monitoring the movement of the population and effect of the treatment, coming to conclusion regarding the effect of the disease control and as element of the forensic evaluation method. .

There are a lot of image, video, text or other content on the Internet. Image Index and image retrieval again become a topic of research in the last decade in which concentrated on how to get the meaning of an information contained in an image. Three methods outlined in the search for an image, the text-based image retrieval, content-based image retrieval and indexing images in the order of language. This study focuses on the preparation of the features of an image based on color and texture. Features colors using the average value of Hue image, texture features using Gray Level occurance Matrix (GLCM). In the past few years there has been an increasing interest for the study of honey bee populations that are naturally resistant to the ectoparasitic mite Varroa destructor, aiming to identify the mechanisms that allow the bees to limit the reproduction of the mite. In eastern Uruguay there are still bees resistant to mites that survive without acaricides. In order to determine if the differential resistance to V. destructor was maintained in other environments, a reciprocal transplant experiment was performed between the mite-resistant bee colonies and the mite-susceptible bee colonies from the east and the west of the country, respectively, infesting bees with local mites. In both regions, the mite-resistant colonies expressed a higher hygienic behavior and presented a higher phoretic mites/reproductive mites and mites in drone cells/mites in worker cells ratio than the mite-susceptible colonies. All the mite-susceptible colonies died during fall–winter, while a considerable number of mite-resistant colonies survived until spring, especially in the east of the country. This study shows that the bees in the east of the country maintain in good measure the resistance to V. destructor in other regions and leaves open the possibility that the mites of the two populations have biases in the reproductive behavior.

Ce manuscrit est consacré à l'étude des structures à ordre de charges (CO) dans les systèmes Pr1-xCaxMnO3 (x = 0. 2, 0. 33 et 0. 37) et PrxCa2-xMnO4 (x = 0. 5), ainsi qu'à l'étude des structures magnétiques du premier système. La perovskite Pr0. 7Ca0. 3MnO3 présente une transition CO à Tco = 150 K. Celle-ci se traduit par un doublement du paramètre b selon le setting Pbnm. La structure a été décrite à partir de données de diffraction des rayons X et des neutrons sur monocristaux dans le formalisme des structures modulées, dans la section t = 1/8 de la symétrie Pbnm(0b0), correspondant à une symétrie de surstructure P21nm. Les environnements octaédriques correspondants ont été décrits. La phase de Ruddlesden-Popper Pr0. 5Ca1. 5MnO4 a été étudiée par diffraction des rayons X sur monocristal. La modulation incommensurable qui apparaît en dessous de Tco=315 K a été décrite selon deux modèles structuraux du fait de l'observation d'une modification des conditions de centrage vers 200 K, passant ainsi d'une symétrie Aema(0b0)s00 à Pccn(0b0)s00. Ces deux différents systèmes se caractérisent principalement par des modulations displacives transverses. Les distorsions des octaèdres qui leur sont associées montrent qu'il n'existe pas de mise en ordre d'ions Mn3+ et Mn4+, mais une valence mixte plus ou moins homogène ou une onde de densité de charges. L'étude des structures magnétiques a permis de mettre en évidence la contribution magnétique du praséodyme pour x = 0. 2 et 0. 33 à côté de la composante ferromagnétique du manganèse, pour des températures inférieures à 40 K.

La grande loge symbolique Ecossaise créée en France en 1880 compte une trentaine de loges en activité. Elle disparait, dans sa version maintenue, en 1911. En dépit de son apparence mineure, l'histoire de la G. L. S. E. Permet un éclairage nouveau de l'ordre maçonnique français de la fin du 19e siècle. L'analyse est organisée autour d'une double thématique: le désir de démocratisation des obédiences et de la société, la question de l'initiation féminine. Cette démarche donne toute leur valeur à deux aspects jusqu'alors ignorés de l'historiographie maçonnique : les crises internes de l'ordre et l'existence, en son sein, de minorités d'avant-garde. En outre, cette étude tente de mettre en lumière la richesse des stratégies et des pratiques militantes des francs-maçons du dernier quart du siècle. In its maintained form, it disappeared in 1911. In spite of its minor look, the history of the G. L. S. E. Throws a new light on the characteristics of the French masonic order at the end of the XIXth century. The analysis is organized around a double thesis: the wish of the obedience’s and the society for more democracy, and the question of women's initiation. This approach emphasizes two aspects so far unknown of masonic historiography: the internal crisis of the order, and the presence of advanced minorities within its body. Besides this survey attempts to bring to light this variety of strategies and militant practices of free-masons in the last quarter of the century. L'intercalation électrochimique d'oxygène dans SrCoO2. 5 et La2CoO4. 0 a été réalisée dans un électrolyte aqueux alcalin à température ambiante. L'influence de l'oxydation sur la structure et le magnétisme a été étudiée in situ en fonction du transfert de charges par diffraction des neutrons et des rayons X sur poudre et par EXAFS. Les modifications structurales, notamment le phénomène de désordre, ainsi que les propriétés électroniques anisotropes ont été observées pour la première fois sur des monocristaux orientés. Pendant l'oxydation électrochimique de la phase SrCoO2. 5, de structure brownmillerite, vers la phase perovskite cubique SrCoO3. 0, une nouvelle phase intermédiaire SrCoO2. 82 ordonnée a été observée in situ par diffraction des neutrons dans une cellule électrochimique. De plus, nous avons étudié l'évolution de la structure en domaines au cours des réactions de charge/décharge sur des monocristaux 12 fois maclés de la phase orthorhombique SrCoO2. 5 et monodomaines de la phase perovskite cubique SrCoO3. 0. Dans le système La2CoO4. 0+d, nous avons synthétisé pour la première fois une grande variété de monocristaux avec des taux d'oxygène différents d=0. 0, 0. 09, 0. 12, 0. 16, 0. 20 et 0. 25. Les propriétés magnétiques et le désordre structural des atomes d'oxygène apicaux et interstitiels en fonction de d ont été étudiés par diffraction des neutrons et par analyse de la densité diffractée par la Méthode du Maximum d'Entropie.

La première contribution de cette thèse est l'étude de la modélisation ainsi que de la discrétisation des écoulements multiphasique en géométrie microfluidique. Nous proposons un nouveau schéma d'ordre deux de discrétisation basé sur les méthodes mixtes volumes finis/éléments finis pour le système de Stokes bi-fluides avec tension de surface.Nous présentons alors des comparaison de la précision de ce nouveau schéma avec la discrétisation MAC, en 2D et en 3D-axi. La seconde contribution est relative à l'étude de schémas numériques en temps pour les fluides viscoélastiques. Nous présentons les limites actuelles des modélisations dans ce domaine en étudiant le cas des écoulements de micelles géantes, polymères ayant la capacité de se réorganiser spatialement en fonction du taux de cisaillement. Nous montrons qu'une condition de stabilité liée au ratio de viscosité du polymère et du solvant en temps - très restrictive - existe. Un nouveau schéma est alors proposé pour contourner cette limitation et des études stabilité sont menés pour démontrer nos résultatsThe first contribution of this thesis is the analysis and discretization of multiphase flow in a microfluidic framework.We propose a new scheme wich is second order accurate, based on mixed finite volume / finite element method for the two phases Stokes system with surface tension.We then present the comparison of the accuracy of this new scheme with the MAC discretization in 2D and 3D axi.The second contribution is related to the study of numerical schemes in time for viscoelastic fluids.We present the current limitations in this area by studying the case of flows of wormlike micelles, polymers having the ability to reorganize themselves according to the shear rate.We show that a condition of stability related to the ratio of viscosity of the polymer and solvent in time - very restrictive - exists.A new scheme is then proposed to overcome this limitation and stability studies are conducted to demonstrate our results

Le couple au sens du droit musulman est conçu par le lien matrimonial, ce qui exclut toutes autres formes d’unions. Les profondes mutations en la matière de certains pays musulmans font que l'institution familiale est traversée par des courants contradictoires faisant d’elle un champ de lutte propice entre l'ancienne et la nouvelle, entre la tradition et la moderne.Les réformes apparues, il y a une dizaine d’années, dans certains pays musulmans témoignent la volonté des législateurs musulmans de répondre au souci de l’égalité homme-femme, en particulier le rééquilibrage des droits entre les époux. Ainsi, de nombreuses institutions ont connu des mutations soit par leur prohibition, soit par leurs restrictions les rendant difficilement applicables.Ce travail a le mérite de dresser le bilan de l’accueil de ces institutions réformées dans l’ordre juridique français et, ainsi démontrer les tergiversations jurisprudentielles en la matière.L’européanisation du droit international privé et l’influence libérale de la famille en droit français ont accru la diversité des règles et des méthodes applicables aux couples.En analysant la méthodologie du droit international privé français, un certain relativisme découle dans l’application de ses modalités ce qui envoie à s’interroger sur les limites du respect des valeurs fondamentales du for. Les effets de quantification du flux magnetique sur des reseaux supraconducteurs bidimensionnels sont etudies dans ce memoire. Du point de vue theorique, la temperature de transition supraconductrice en fonction du champ magnetique applique est determinee en resolvant les equations d'alexander pour divers reseaux : periodiques, quasiperiodiques et fractals. Quelques un de ces reseaux submicroniques ont ete realises par lithographie electronique. Leurs temperatures critiques sont mesurees et l'accord entre la theorie et l'experience est discute. A l'interieur de la phase supraconductrice, les vortex entrent dans le reseau et induisent des supercourants diamagnetiques. L'etat d'equilibre est traite d'une maniere analogue au traitement de l'etat mixte d'un supraconducteur massif d'abrikosov : on determine l'amplitude du parametre d'ordre en tenant compte du terme non-lineaire de l'equation de ginzburg-landau par une methode de perturbation. On en deduit les quantites thermodynamiques, en particulier l'energie libre et l'aimantation du reseau, qui sont des fonctions de la difference entre la temperature et la temperature critique t - t::(c), ainsi que du parametre d'abrikosov beta ::(a). Ce formalisme a ete applique au reseau carre pour lequel les configurations du parametre d'ordre et les distributions du courant diamagnetique ont ete determinees pour quelques valeurs simples du champ magnetique. D'autre part, la derivee de la ligne critique par rapport au champ magnetique, qui s'identifie a la derivee du bord du spectre d'hofstadter a ete calculee a l'aide d'une approximation continue. Cette derivee contient un terme anormal que l'on peut relier a la phase de berry. Elle donne directement la derivee de l'aimantation par rapport a la temperature d rond m/d rond t. Nous donnons egalement quelques resultats preliminaires sur l'etat mixte du reseau supraconducteur en presence d'un courant exterieur. Le courant critique au-dessus duquel cet etat n'existe plus est obtenu pour quelques cas simples (boucles, reseau carre). Missionaries and their native co-authors incorporated traditional indigenous oratory into Christian sermons in order to persuade, as well as instruct, the Indian neophytes. An analysis of sermons and devotional literature in indigenous languages reveals many examples of the refined style of Mesoamerican ceremonial discourse, especially the most characteristic literary device of paired couplets, or difrasismos. A comparison is made between Renaissance European and Mesoamerican poetics as represented in Mixtec and Zapotec texts, with an emphasis on the miracle stories of Marian devotion and deathbed exhortations. The rhetorical strategy, which relied on privileging familiar indigenous form over alien Christian content, may have gained a more attentive but not necessarily more convinced audience.

This chapter examines mites. Mites are arthropods in the class Arachnida, order Acari, and have several morphological and physiological characteristics that differ from insects. Many mites of economic importance in agriculture develop very rapidly and complete several generations each year. Mouthparts of mites are described as rasping and sucking — the mite rasps a wound on the surface of plant tissue and then laps or sucks up the resulting plant exudate. Several mites attack turfgrass in various regions of North America. The chapter then looks at the bermudagrass mite, the zoysiagrass mite, the buffalograss mite, the winter grain mite, the clover mite, and the banks grass mite.

Vendor selection and order quantity assignment plays a central role in the purchasing activity of manufacturing and trading companies. Evaluation of product and service suppliers for procurement planning requires, on the one hand, accurate identification and exploration of all decision relevant parameters. On the other hand, effective agreements must tackle all parties’ rights, obligations, interests, motives, and values, which are usually conflicting in nature. In this chapter, the authors address the problem of expert group structuring and formalization of participant competences by distinguishing among the a-, ß-, and ?-level experts responsible for the value system establishment, alternatives assessment and auxiliary objects evaluation, respectively. Experts can belong to more than one task community. The triples of a-, ß-, and ?-voting power indices are assigned to the individuals depending on their competence/authority. Moreover, the presented Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA)-based framework facilitates selecting appropriate suppliers by the distributed expert groups and improves the quality of order allocation decisions. The usefulness of the proposed approach is demonstrated for the fuel oils and crops purchasing activities in the trading department of Raiffeisen Westfalen Mitte eG in Germany.

Chapter 1 presents the early life experiences of Sarah Breedlove and their influences in shaping Madam C. J. Walker’s identity, sense of responsibility to others, and philanthropic giving. Her philanthropy began to form when she was a poor, widowed migrant moving around the South dependent upon a robust philanthropic network of black civil society institutions and black women who cared for her during the most difficult period of her life. The chapter shows how she was socialized into respectability, racial uplift ideology, generosity, and philanthropic giving by a group of St. Louis black churchwomen and clubwomen, whose support and mentoring enabled her to change her life course. In outlining her early membership and involvement with key networks of women, including washerwomen, the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church’s Mite Missionary Society, and the Court of Calanthe fraternal order, the chapter demonstrates the formation of Madam Walker’s moral imagination as the foundation for her philanthropic life. It situates Walker within the culture of the AME Church, which immersed her in faith, black history, self-help and racial uplift ideologies, education, activism, and internationalism. In the process, the chapter reveals Walker’s formation of a moral imagination that integrated business and philanthropy, embraced particular causes, and forged diverse means of giving.

Hydrology is an increasingly data-intensive discipline and the key contribution of existing and emerging information technologies for the hydrology ecosystem is to smartly transform the water-specific data to information and to knowledge that can be easily picked up and used by various stakeholders and automated decision engines in order to forecast and forewarn the things to unfold. Attaining actionable and realistic insights in real-time dynamically out of both flowing as well as persisting data mountain is the primary goal for the aquatic industry. There are several promising technologies, processes, and products for facilitating this grand yet challenging objective. Business intelligence (BI) is the mainstream IT discipline representing a staggering variety of data transformation and synchronization, information extraction and knowledge engineering techniques. Another paradigm shift is the overwhelming adoption of service oriented architecture (SOA), which is a simplifying mechanism for effectively designing complex and mission-critical enterprise systems. Incidentally there is a cool convergence between the BI and SOA concepts. This is the stimulating foundation for the influential emergence of service oriented business intelligence (SOBI) paradigm, which is aptly recognized as the next-generation BI method. These improvisations deriving out of technological convergence and cluster calmly pervade to the ever-shining water industry too. That is, the bubbling synergy between service orientation and aquatic intelligence empowers the aquatic ecosystem significantly in extracting actionable insights from distributed and diverse data sources in real time through a host of robust and resilient infrastructures and practices. The realisable inputs and information being drawn from water-related data heap contribute enormously in achieving more with less and to guarantee enhanced safety and security for total human society. Especially as the green movement is taking shape across the globe, there is a definite push from different quarters on water and ecology professionals to contribute their mite immensely and immediately in permanently arresting the ecological degradation. In this chapter, we have set the context by incorporating some case studies that detail how SOA has been a tangible enabler of hydroinformatics. Further down, we have proceeded by explaining how SOA-sponsored integration concepts contribute towards integrating different data for creating unified and synchronized views and to put the solid and stimulating base for quickly deriving incisive and decisive insights in the form of hidden patterns, predictions, trends, associations, tips, etc. from the integrated and composite data. This enables real-time planning of appropriate countermeasures, tactics as well as strategies to put the derived in faster activation and actuation modes. Finally the idea is to close this chapter with an overview of how SOA celebrates in establishing adaptive, on-demand and versatile SOHI platforms. SOA is insisted as the chief technique for developing and deploying agile, adaptive, and on-demand hydrology intelligence platforms as a collection of interoperable, reusable, composable, and granular hydrology and technical services. The final section illustrates the reference architecture for the proposed SOHI platform.

This material results from the research of the nut culture in order to identify pathogenic organisms of the class Arachnida and to represent the effects of these organisms on tree organs. The research was made at the Botanical Garden Institute, Chișinău on a number of 300 trees. This paper includes the identification of the main pests of the class Arachnida, namely: the gall mite of walnut leaves (Aceria tristriata) and the disease named walnut blister mine caused by Aceria erinea. At the same time, the methods of pest control and the negative effects of their presence are exposed here.

Abstract The objective of this project is to simulate elastic logs (sonic P, sonic S and density) through a Petroelastic Model (PEM) for a complex lithology reservoir in the Middle East, that later will be used as input for a new 4D seismic feasibility study. A log conditioning (despike, depth shift, hydrocarbon correction and normalization) and comprehensive petrophysical analysis was first performed, to obtain lithology volumetric, porosity and saturation, that later were used as input for the PEM. Some wells with recorded P and S sonic log were used to conduct different cross plots of elastic properties (e.g. Vp/Vs vs. Acoustic Impedance) in order to understand how lithology, porosity and saturation affect the elastic parameters of the reservoir. After understanding and assessing the elastic behavior with the reservoir properties, three approaches to construct a PEM were tested on this reservoir. The first approach used to construct PEM applying Hashin Shtrikman (H-S) mixt, considering the solid part as a mixture of dolomite and limestone and pore space filled with a mix of oil and water. This model is limited because assumes a homogenous geometry of the pores. To address the pore geometry a Kuster Toksoz (K-T) approach was subsequently tested but the challenge was that there was no clear organization of the aspect ratio (either by lithofacies or petrophysical groups) so the original logs were used to control of the aspect ratio trough a fit function. The third approach was to use a function that models the incompressibility model of the frame (Kdry) with porosity. The result of H-S was a good agreement in the low porosity areas but in the porous intervals, it is observed that the velocities were quite high due the effect of the pore geometry that was not properly assessed by H-S. Despite reasonable reconstructions, K-T was limited by the impossibility to apply it to the wells without sonic P and S (uncalibrated aspect ratio) or a fortiori to a 3D grid. For the Kdry vs. Porosity function the result was very successful since the function is not dependent on the pore geometry, and addresses the ratio issue between solid and pore space. Then with the help of the Gassman Equation, the final Incompressibility Mix Module (Kmix) was calculated and a reconstructed sonic P and S were available for all the wells. The PEM was coded in order to deploy over a 3D property model hence a volumetric elastic model was available to assess the feasibility for new seismic acquisition.
