Abstract:
The monograph considers a set of issues related to the production of durable concretes for aggressive media of class XF4. The work of concrete of port facilities in conditions characteristic of the sea coast of the Arctic and Far Eastern seas is highlighted. The factors of aggressiveness in conditions of frost exposure for concrete of the zone of variable water level are considered. Today, in order to make optimal economic and environmental decisions, the task of transitioning the design and construction of structures according to operational characteristics has become obvious. Conceptual solutions for improving design methods and technology of durable concrete in environments with frost and salt exposure are presented. It is intended for engineering and technical workers and students studying in the bachelor's degree program "Construction".

Abstract:
The monograph is devoted to the study of the place and role of the prosecutor's office in the system of state power in the context of historical development, as well as through the prism of constitutional reforms and transformations that affected the main status characteristics of this institution and determined the features of its constitutionalization. The work provides a constitutional and legal characteristic of the Russian model of the prosecutor's office, which has no analogues in world practice. In the light of constitutional amendments, attention is paid to the problem of determining the legal status of the prosecutor's office in the system of public power, as well as the search for optimal criteria for assessing the effectiveness of the activities of this department. The publication may be of interest to scientists and practitioners, scientists, teachers, applicants and graduate students, undergraduates and students of higher educational institutions, as well as other readers interested in this issue.

Abstract:
The monograph considers models of the interaction of radiation fields of single-mode and multimode Gaussian laser beams with the optical system of the eye. Formulas have been obtained that allow calculating the coefficient of the degree of danger of laser radiation both by the criterion of damage to the skin and cornea of the eye, and by the criterion of damage to the retina at any distance from the radiation source. Methods for selecting control points are proposed. Examples of specific methods of dosimetric control of laser radiation at the workplaces of personnel servicing laser installations are given. The theoretical foundations of circuit design solutions for laser dosimeters are considered. Modern requirements for the metrological characteristics of dosimeters, as well as methods and means of their verification are presented. For students, postgraduates and teachers of technical and physico-mathematical universities and faculties.

Abstract:
In this chapter we provide an overview of microcavities. We present the variety of semiconductor, metallic and dielectric structures used to make microcavities of different dimensions and briefly present a few characteristic optical effects observed in microcavities. Many important effects mentioned in this chapter are discussed in greater extent in the following chapters.

Abstract:
In this chapter we introduce the basic characteristics of light modes in free space and in different kinds of optically confined structures including Bragg mirrors, planar microcavities, pillars and spheres. We describe the powerful transfer matrix method that allows for solution of Maxwell’s equations in multilayer structures. We discuss the polarisation of light and mention different ways it is modified including the Faraday and Kerr effects, optical birefringence, dichroism, and optical activity.
