Full textThe aim of this exploratory study is to gain a better understanding of this concept in the light of the demand for benevolence made of teachers and schools as a whole. Through this thesis, we are interested in the impact of education systems on pupils and teachers, through the prism of benevolence. Through two field studies (French school system / Californian school system - San Diego), we are attempting to identify elements for understanding what benevolence is in a school context. We note that benevolence is a vague concept, fraught with prejudices and personal translations, which can hinder its deployment. We therefore feel it is necessary to refine its conceptualization and the criteria for its operationalization so that it can be understood and implemented in the classroom. By means of observations, questionnaires and interviews, we are attempting to define what it is, how it is expressed by the various members of the educational community, but also how it is perceived and felt by those who benefit from it (or not) and what impact its implementation may have within classes, within relationships and on individuals. The results show that when benevolence is seen as an obstacle to high standards, teachers only think of applying it in the absence of difficulties, which are of all kinds. Finally, the example of San Diego shows that, thanks to genuine, comprehensive training in benevolence, it can be implemented with a real impact on teachers and pupils

Full textBased on the development and the theoretical legitimisation of organisational agility model, this research explores the perceptions and representations of managers on organizational agility to clarify and operationalize this construct. To do this, we first get back to the sources of organisational agility that appeared in 1991. This work highlights a strong theoretical foundation based on four agility capabilities: responsiveness, flexibility, quickness, and competence. This theoretical exploration allows us to continue our research in two phases. We first conducted a questionnaire to collect, twenty-five years after the first development of agility, perceptions of managers on the definition of agility capabilities, the practices associated with these capabilities. We compared our results with those of a measurement scale of organizational agility published in the literature in December 2011.Finally, this research provides two major results. First, we observe that managers do not perceive organizational agility as the theoretical developments read in the literature. Managers articulate the different managerial and organizational practices and they do not follow the theoretical developments. The second major result is the improvement of the measurement scale of organisational agility published in 2011. T

Full textSince independence, Tunisia has set up an educational system in which the achievement of modern society is tightly linked and mainly rests on the degree emancipation of individuals. Rather than a disinterested political choice, that was in fact a reaction to the breaking up of the tunisian society that was underway. However, this system proved to be a failure and is now being led to destruction by its own structures. For education emancipates only those who are already emancipated from the social restrictions. The maladjustment of the current system to the reality and to its own initial projects urges us to ponder over the possibilities of creating a new system that garantees emancipation to each and every individual. Effective emancipation of the individual by knowledge means offering him all possible means to acquire and to posses knowledge. From a pedagogical stand point, this implies that the tunisian education board should set up a set of differentiated educational methods that takes into account the social particularities of each individual and that provides him with all required facilities to his evolution. Yet, it goes without saying that the implantation of such a policy is not an easy task and often meets with pedagogical as well as institutional obstacles

Full textSocial Work in homes constitutes an irreplaceable aid for families or individuals facing difficulties. But welfare services must be cautious about putting the very people they intend helping into a situation of dependence with respect to the service, making them believe they are unable to act by themselves, giving them a mentality of assisted people. Among an immigrant population, Social Work greatly increases this risk, due to the weaknesses in the educational system and the differences in culture. It gives the immigrant the propensity to believe that whatever he may do, people will always look down on him. This is the very purpose of this research on welfare service and dependence. But this thesis also deals with the problem of institutions and administrations, which ought to accompany social services and facilitate their action, while the opposite is too often observed. Some of the existing rules should therefore be modified, or perhaps new rules be set up

Full textThis thesis contributes to the political economy literature on environmental policy. It seeks to explain the divergence between economist’s prescription on one hand and policy implementation on the other hand. In the first part, it looks at the theories of regulation and discusses the realism of the benevolence assumption of public decision maker. It refers to the development of Austrian Political Economy based on the principle of policy learning and on the empirical evidences of public choice theorists that relates to the determinants of environmental regulation. In the second part, it uses the Public Choice methodology based on opportunistic policymaker and investigates from a theoretical point of view the determinants of the dynamic of environmental regulation. It refers to rent seeking theory and develop a model of a dynamic of regulation that is based on the influence of cognitive bias on public policies. Such a model enables us to determine the conditions of cycles in environmental regulation. It enhances to understand and predict environmental policies that are surrounded on scientific controversies, such as climate policies

Full textIn an atmosphere of intense competition, reward programs are now made standard to generate lassitude. Numerous companies are interested in the development of customer recognition benefits in order to improve customer loyalty. Companies are able to keen the buyers happy by offering selected customers special status so that they feel superior. These are granted a wide range of privileges and special treatments. Nowadays, even though relational practices based on the development of recognition benefits are common among brand names, not much literature is available on the subject. This research helps our understanding of the effects of such symbolic benefits. Based on two qualitative and three quantitative studies, a) we first define the recognition benefits, b) then study the effects of the development of recognition benefits on customer loyalty, c) try to understand how to develop customer recognition benefits, d) and last highlight the pitfalls in terms of recognition based relationship strategies

Full textSelf-perceived employability as an integrated element of employability…nor has it been really mentioned in modern-day managerial practices. Academic research on the topic is quite limited. It’s almost non-existent when individuals are confronted with difficulties in changing jobs: a tricky context when they get older. An extensive literature review backs up these concepts and delivers an operationalization of the idea linked to the individuals versus socio-demographic variables and employment status. The suggested results are from a qualitative study carried out on more than 30 people. The results then led to a quantitative research on the operationalization of Self-perceived employability. Based on several confirmed scaled (with items linked to employability, and to a lesser extent, Self-perceived employability…and new items from the exploratory research), we built a questionnaire keeping in mind that this way could contribute to a new and innovative measurement of employability. The streamlined scale leads to a new construct with six statistical dimensions: Skills, Training, Sense of Self Efficacy, Networking (internal and external), Job Search Tools and realistic knowledge of the job market. All in all, the research offers a way which could forecast professional situations and allows a realistic evaluation of Self-perceived employability. This study also suggests that self-employability is linked to professional status (ie to be hired). This research could be used for other vulnerable groups (like junior workers) and also on different cultural contexts

Full textThis research proposes an approach to specify and validate a reactive knowledge system. The concerned approach consists of three important steps: specification, operationalization and simulation. Firstly, we define a specification language that allows experts to describe the reactive knowledge systems behavior. Secondly, instead of coding the corresponding model in the final representation -in terms of a programming language- we identify an intermediate step to transform it automatically in DEVS formalism. The obtained model is operational and can be simulated to analyze and validate the system. The approach is illustrated through the specification of a waiting system. These works led to an extension of the DEVS formalism called Min-Max DEVS

Full textBenevolence is a motive for action that aims at the other's good or is an answer to the other's good deed; it constitutes also an element of the organizational context, which participates to the ethical climate within which each member acts. It takes various forms according to the importance give to the other's good, to one's own good and to the relationship: it can be gratuitous, utilitarian reciprocal, instrumental, etc. up to mutual benevolence', made of gratitude, directed at the other in a relationship. Organizational benevolence - as the benevolence of an agent in as much as he/she participates with others to the organizational experience, influences it and is influenced by it - can emerge and develop in a agents' reciprocal commitment, thus fostering cooperation and the exceeding of norms of action; it is efficient -and paradoxically, it is all the more efficient that it does not seek such efficiency. This benevolence can be understood in its relation with rules and organizational roles: a relation of reciprocal interpretation or reinterpretation. This thesis comprises three essays: -Organizational cynicism as a response to the violation of the psychological contract: A lesser evil? The case of a consulting firm -Organizational benevolence: prescribed or proscribed? Courses of benevolence in a consulting firm Co-authored with Ghislain Deslandes-Mercier, G. & Deslandes, G. Full textThe purpose of the research is the study of relations between teacher' educational attitudes on one side and their general social attitudes, general valves, interpersonal valves, and dimensions of personality on the other. The first part (p. 1-176) is a research review about : - the concept of attitude (p. 1-50), - the structure and content of social attitudes (p. 51-71) - the structure and content of teacher' educational attitudes (p. 72-125), - the relations between educational attitudes and personality (p. 126-176) the second part (p. 177-274) is the presentation of a research realized on 355 student-teachers (157 : primary, 198 : physical education) from 6 establishments. The surveys used in the research are : - the "A. C. P. 77" (G. Mialaret, measuring educational attitudes, - the "questionnaire sur les attitudes sociales" (R. Frances) measuring the radicalism-conservatism, - the 16 p. F. (R. B. Cattell), - the study of valves (G. W. Allport), - the interpersonal valves survey (L. V. Gordon) among the main results obtained by different statistical ways (canonical analysis and multiple stepwise regressions above all), the study shows : first the existence of strong relationship between educational attitudes and two general dimensions : the radicalism-conservatism and the tender-tough mindedness ; second the independance between educational attitudes and two general dimensions : anxiety-emotional stability and introversion-extraversion

Full textLesbian parenthood is part of the evolution of our kinship system and our medical reproductive technology. It raises debates about the effects of the absence of a father in the everyday life on the development of the child. The objective of our thesis is to understand how the paternal function operates and is transmitted in lesbian parenthood with ART. In order to answer our question, we carried out a qualitative content analysis of 14 research interviews by associating with the Free Realization of a Family Tree. The results reveal that the paternal function is effective in lesbian parenting. It operates from the reactivation of the oedipal issues at work in becoming a parent, conjugality and the place occupied by the donor in transmission fantasies. The paternal function is established by the psychic and legal recognition of places. Finally, it is transmitted and is transmitted through fantasies of transmission, the inscription of the child in a double filiation and a symbolic permutation of the operating places

Full textThis thesis has two main purposes, within the limits of strategic management and of the i. Ansoff model : on the one hand to study the environment scanning process (e. S. P. ), on the other hand to provide a concept, a model and a software, which enable the rising of significant information, by gathering weak signals collected from the environment. The study of the e. S. P. Enables first to issue advices for its implementation, secondly and principaly to raise the problem of the information processing and to provide bases in order to solve it. A conceptual study allows, through an analogical argument, to create the concept of puzzle. This concept compares the information processing to the restoring of jig-saw puzzle and induces a method for processing the information collected from the environment. The software prototype developed from this concept enables to bring pieces of information together and to produce signification. Seventeen interviews and two actual implementations were carried out in different firms and initiated the validation of both the concept and the model. The software prototype appeared to be an excellent help for the e. S. P. Implementation

Full textThis thesis is a contribution to the geographies of sexualities and more specifically to queer geographies. It first seeks to understand how queer places are created by the many ways they are defined, though of, and organized in their rhizomatic pattern. Self-defined queer people have indeed a tendency to create places through the gathering of an array of persons who are connected by a particular relationship to gender, sexuality, as well as by the political component of the queer discourse. Focusing next on the “milieux de vie” that emerged from this loose network of places, the research looks at the systematic violence exerted against queer people in the public and private space. This phenomenon is seen and explained through a set of norms and domination patterns occurring at different levels and scales in society. Violence within the communities is finally studied. The author concludes in examining and in offering a critic of the concept of safe space, which lay the ground for the proposal of the construction of espaces bienveillants (derived from the concept of brave place). The study was conducted through participant observations, auto-ethnographic method, on-line surveys and direct conversations. Reflexivity was at the center of the field work, the author insists most notably on the emotional work researcher faces in this type of research

Full textIn France, the objective of ecological compensation for residual impacts on biodiversity is to achieve no net loss of biodiversity. A normative framework setting out about ten principles theoretically makes it possible to achieve this objective. We are therefore studying the implementation of biodiversity offset through three High Speed Railway projects. We analyze the actor's game around this implementation through the theories of collective action, and in particular the analytical framework of Translation proposed by M. Callon. This first analysis allows us to understand how biodiversity offset is a socio-technical object. We highlight that many actors with diverging stakes are mobilizing to implement ecological compensation. We show that there is a tension between the mobilization of actors and ecological requirements, these two aspects are not always compatible. The duration of the environmental services specifications and the associated retribution of landowners, who set-up biodiversity offset specification, is decisive for both human and non-human (biodiversity) mobilization. We then question the temporal spatial effects of collective action and its ability to achieve a net loss of biodiversity. We show that the measures could not be effective before the impacts began. Land management in France seems for the moment to be difficult to reconcile with the implementation of unanticipated biodiversity offset at a very early stage. We show that the majority of biodiversity offset sites are small in size, although larger areas seem more virtuous for biodiversity. Finally, we show that the sustainability of biodiversity offset measures can be assessed at different levels depending on (i) the type of land control (acquisition, agreement); (ii) biodiversity offset contracts (duration, content of the latter - sanctions in the event of failure to comply with obligations influence the maintenance of the measures); (iii) the management of the renewal of these contracts; (iv) the vocation of the owners of the sites (a public or private construction company does not initially have the role of conserving biodiversity, whereas an environmental NGO has the vocation); (v) the sustainability of the structures and assurances as to the future of the biodiversity offset measures sites in the event of bankruptcy; (vi) the monitoring and control of the implementation

Full textThe empirical investigation carried out within the framework of this thesis was part of the perspective of the Law of Refoundation "For a school of benevolence". It was to contribute to a research program of the French Institute of Education (IFE), named Places of Education Associates (LEA). The purpose of this study (2014-2017) was "Innovating for a caring school of benevolence". The field of investigation is that of the Freinet School, the historical school of Élise and Célestin Freinet in Vence in the Alpes-Maritimes (France). By staying regularly in situ, the actual practices during writing situations, specific to the institution of the free text, have been objectified. Such a work of objectification pinpoints the joint action of the teachers. These cooperative training practices were analyzed based in particular on the framework of the Theory of Joint Action in Didactics (TACD). This thesis proposes to examine a series of questions: What model is it possible to propose from the type of training practiced at Freinet School? How is this model, which can be described as clinical, relevant when it comes to pedagogical filiation? What are the strengths, weaknesses and limitations? These questions are linked to another series: How can one speak of the teacher's professional benevolence? In what other professional virtues could it find its expression?

Full textThis work deals about reflexive practice and student teacher’s professional development ; this topic takes place in a period of teachers education’s new reforms, and in a larger period of doubt on its efficiency. A three dimensional approach was chosen to treat the subject : institutional dimension, curriculum and educational practices, professional development’s process ; bibliographical elements, and experience’s elements are produced for each one. This works main professional purpose is to produce, to the student teachers, their trainers and our institution, some propositions about progressive ways of reducing the difficulties provided by split between disciplinary curricula and competence’s development ; main theoretic orientation is given by complex approach of systems and problems, and reflective practice, this theoretic orientation taking place in an constructivist approach. That’s why the design of the educational tools produced, tested and then evaluated, was founded about models of our educational systems (IUFM-Corsica) and included effects of reflective thinking, meta-cognition, temporality of reflection, are analyzed such educational currents as well as practice analysis’s components. These tools consist in : institutional evaluation report’s frames. Group’s practice analysis’s frames (ARPPEGE). Since this work’s dimensions have some reverberations in professional path, educational ways, professional commitment and ethic concern, since the components of the study are so intricate, scientific methodology’s principles were a constant sustain for this work, which will be to enhance with future works

Full textContemporary sustainability science and practice must embrace the complexity of social-ecological systems and capitalize on the lessons learned from the recent theoretical and applied advances made in various disciplines. This can be accomplished in particular by incorporating this extensive knowledge into management and decision making through integrative and operational frameworks. Based on contrasting but complementary case studies (coral reef fishery in Moorea, French Polynesia; artisanal benthic fishery in Chile and global food systems), and drawing from the recent development in social-ecological science, we extended the use of the social-ecological vulnerability framework by (1) mapping human-nature dependencies in the context of resource-user interactions, (2) integrating the temporal dimension, (3) accounting for multiple drivers of change and (4) their impact on diverse entities of the system considered. This interdisciplinary work provided the foundation to represent key linkages in social-ecological systems, understand the underlying sources of unsustainability, and address these through a set of targeted and context-grounded management interventions and policy actions. This thesis provides a new perspective on human-nature linkages and has a number practical implications for managers, conservation planners, and policy-makers that seek to incorporate a social-ecological perspective to tackle sustainability issues from local to global scales

Full textThe expert report composed by a forensic pathologist often plays a key role in many criminal trials in order to either free or convict the defendant. By unearthing useful facts for the inquiry, the forensic pathologist has a duty to be neutral, use up-to-date scientific knowledge and data and to search for the truth in underlying events. But is the usual position of axiological neutrality relevant? Can values be evacuated from the expertise? Can the truth be achieved? What is actually science in the field of forensics? Is the forensic pathologist not using other tools to reach a conclusion? To address these issues, this work proposes to investigate the relationship between facts and values in the field of forensic expertise, as well as to examine the way the forensic scientists draw conclusions and in turn how these are stated

Full textThis study highlights the involvement of beneficiaries' agents in the advent of good care practices in Quebec's nursing home. It is part of a larger study resulting from a concerted action between the Seniors Secretariat of the Ministry of Family (Famille-SA), the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS) and the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture [Fund of Quebec-Society and Culture Research] (FRQSC). This larger study, which aims to highlight good care practices in nursing homes, ties in with measures 6, 8 and 50 of the Government Action Plan to Counter Elder Mistreatment (PAM) 2017-2022. Favoring a qualitative approach for our study, semi-directed individual interviews with ten beneficiaries' agents made it possible to state that when it comes to good care practices, special attention must be paid to interpersonal relations, interpersonal skills, and attitudes. Good care appears to be both a disposition and a practice that relies on the ability to "take care" and adaptability. If the participants tend to take responsibility for themselves and to individualize this notion, the results show that the cultural context, whether organizational or socio-political, considerably influences the level of treatment. The beneficiaries' agents would have sufficient knowledge, yet they would find it difficult to put this knowledge to good use because of their work structures. According to the theoretical perspective of the ethics of care, the presence of cultural obstacles, caused by a lack of consideration for all the "caring" professions, would considerably limit their practices. The research concludes on the importance of highlighting the care professions and reiterates the need for the social worker to encourage a "ground-up" vision when making decisions about the quality of life of elderly people in assisted accommodations.

Full textWhile the study of organizational practices favorable to the performance and involvement of workers has aroused great interest among researchers, the study of practices favorable to their psychological health is still in gestation. The general purpose of this doctoral dissertation was to contribute to the enrichment of this field of scientific literature through: (1) the conceptualization of Virtuous Organizational Practices (VOP) based on the Psychologically Healthy Workplace model of the American Psychological Association (APA), (2) the development of a tool to assess VOP, and (3) identification of the existing links between VOP on the one hand, and the psychological well-being, intentions and behaviors of workers on the other. To achieve these aims, three studies were conducted. The first, comprising three sub-studies, developed and validated a reliable tool to assess VOP (i.e., Virtuous Organizational Practices Inventory, VOPI)among a population of French workers from the private, public and associative sectors. The second study demonstrated that VOP were positively associated with job satisfaction, thriving at work and work-life balance, through the mediation of psychological capital. Finally, the third study found that VOP positively impacted the person-organization fit, which in turn promoted the intention to stay and the organizational citizenship behaviors of workers. This doctoral dissertation makes an innovative contribution to the scientific literature on organizational determinants of psychological well-being, positive attitudes and behaviors of workers and offersactors in the field an integrative and reliable tool to assess virtuous organizational practices

Full textThis thesis work adopts the point of view of educational political philosophy to contemplate a metamorphosis of authority in democratic modernity, in the light of the principle of individualist legitimacy. In this context, we acknowledge the major changes which occurred in modern democracies since 1945, as well as the path of the notion of authority over the same period of time. Then, we consider the syntagmatic articulation of authority and kindness concepts, to turn them into means serving autonomy of individuals. This conceptualization of benevolent authority allows to reconsider, from the very beginning, the link between authority, and the positioning in time and relationships between the beings within democratic modernity, that is to say redesigning the roman trinity authority – religion – tradition. Hence, one can also investigate jointly the questions of authority acknowledgment in its legitimacy, and of the role of authority relationships in everyone’s quest for individual reconnaissance. Thus, the praxis of benevolent authority in education can be explored, allowing to highlight its fruitfulness to face contemporary educational challenges. Considering authority in education as a praxis means renouncing to propose a frozen model of authority, applicable to any situation and for anyone. This approach can only strengthen the assumption of a place of authority. Setting individual authority as a goal of education requires this ethics to be neither moralistic, nor paternalistic nor abstentionist

Full textFor the first time in the history of writing, several people can edit the same document at the same time and from a distance. This new writing practice, made possible by digital technology, is called synchronous collaborative digital writing. The question posed by this research is how a consistent and readable text can emerge from such systems. In addition, the texts that result from these practices can hardly be reduced to communication intentions that pre-exist "in the head" of the participants. The text emerges within the situations. This raises the methodological question of how to account for this emergence. This thesis therefore offers to explore a way to tackle it: a pragmatist type of investigation, and more specifically, a transactional approach. It is characterized by the need to think the relationship in its constitutive dimension without presupposing any of the entities prior to their entry in situation. It also implies that all of the descriptions of a given situation always have to be considered as provisional and subject to revision. Here, an operationalization of this philosophical approach is proposed in the field of Information and Communication Sciences. It is implemented for two categories of case studies: situations of production of argumentation in an educational context and situations of collaborative production of meeting reports. This experimentation makes it possible to conclude that it would be interesting to continue this investigation in a transactional approach and it outlines an analysis model to facilitate this pursuit

Full text« Narapoia » is the name of a condition in which a person thinks that everyone is conspiring to help and benefit her. This « constructive deception », formulated by Boris Cyrulnik in the seventies, could describe the merrymaker’s state of mind. By offering us the promise of a benevolent atmosphere, celebration allows us to move away from the suspicion and reversibility that supposedly underlie all relationships between individuals, especially in big cities such as Paris. The 2003 heatwave caused a great many deaths, primarily among theelderly. This tragedy confronted the French authorities and population with the problem of isolation in big cities. The individualism that had previously been seen as a « little quirk » of progress and modernity henceforthbecame a scourge to be eradicated. Created in 1999 on the initiative of Atanase Périfan – a young UMPcouncilor of Macedonian descent, the aim of the Fête des Voisins is to gather people from the same buildingand/or neighborhood together for drinks and a buffet meal. The Immeubles en Fêtes association’s homepage, posters announcing the event, Atanase Périfan’s book sharing his personal experience as the founder, pressarticles and televised reports all serve to reinforce the image of an initiative that is not only cheerful and friendly, but also equally decisive. The premise – or even the promise – of the Fête des Voisins therefore falls more within the realm of the useful than the pleasurable. The image of the large table as broadcast by the media will become the metaphor for the shared space of the Republic, along with the values and codes that underpin it. The deliberately light-hearted and confident tone of the event will be a way to reach out to those who think of themselves as being on the margins of society. « Sense of belonging » and « feeling of exclusion » could be considered as inner geographies, psychological constructs that the Dionysiac experience of hospitality and joy will temporarily suspend. From the Fête des Voisins to the more subversive parties organized by Parisian clubs such as Le Point Ephémère or Glazart, it is always a matter of restoring the individual to a place of beneficial availability and vulnerability through which integration into a group becomes possible. This may take the calmand sensible form of friendship and citizenship (Fête des Voisins) or find a more intense and burning expression in the raptures of love (Le Point Ephémère, Glazart)

Full textThe work presented in this thesis is part of a broader issue of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) field. It is particularly interested in Massive Open online Courses (MOOC) environments and concerns more specifically the activity of designing and conceiving pedagogical scenarios by teachers in connectivist MOOC (cMOOC).The main goal is to provide an approach, models and tools to assist teachers in the scenario conception process and the operationalization of pedagogical scenarios in a cMOOC context. In order to meet these needs, the first part of this thesis is devoted to specification of the cMOOC creation and execution process describing the involved stakeholders and the characteristics of each process step. The second part of the manuscript is consecrated to the cORPS model, which describes and defines a cMOOC-oriented pedagogical scenario. To reify our proposals, we have developed an authoring environment for cMOOC context, called MOOCAT. One of the specific characteristics of our tool lies in the exploitation and reuse of the BPMN notation. This tool and the associated operationalization service are covered in the third part of this manuscript. Finally, different publics of practitioners tested MOOCAT notably from a utility and usability point of view. The obtained findings confirm that MOOCAT can be used to design connectivist pedagogical scenarios and provide all the necessary elements for the design of such courses. Feedback from participants particularly highlighted its ease of use and the benefit of a visual authoring tool

Full textWater utilities draw different water sources (surface and groundwater), including increased use of alternative sources (e.g. desalinated water, reused water, inter-basin water transfers) to supply freshwater to different users (domestic, agriculture, etc.). The combination of water sources and technologies (including infrastructures and energy) results in a regional water supply mix (WSmix) for each specific use. Existing Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) databases used in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), do not include these mixes when modelling processes, leading to a poor representation of water supply systems and related environmental impacts. To fill this gap, this thesis developes 1) consistent water supply mix (WSmix) model for implementation in LCA, 2) a first database of water source mixes for different users at a global scale and a technological matrix linking water sources to water production technologies in order to operationalize the practical implementation of the WSmix in LCA studies. In order to test the operationalization and applicability of the WSmix at worldwide scale and for different users, this theseis also describes the operationalization and application of the WSmix for two different water users worldwide with two different approaches: providing a generic service (public water supply) and producing a global product (maize production). Finally, to evaluate to what extent the WSmix will be affected by climate and socio-economic changes in the future, this thesis describes the development of a Prospective WSmix (P-WSmix) for practical implementation in LCA and water footprint studies
Broussois, Lisa. "Francis Hutcheson et la politique du sens moral." Thesis, Paris 1, 2014. http://www.theses.fr/2014PA010583.
Full textThis study focuses on the moment when Francis Hutcheson’s philosophy, in its moral, epistemological and legal aspects, contributes to elaborating questionings and innovative practical solutions to deal with the issues of modern politics. To answer the question “What is the politics of moral sense?”, it must be considered that each individual possesses a natural, immediate and involuntary sense of morality. This moral sense is the criterion of judgement of the best political action depending on two aims: preservation of peace and social harmony; and the pursuit of happiness, that is, the greatest happiness for the greatest number. Even if individuals are not always able to act with the best means for a political and ethical purpose, all are able to judge what should be done. The politics of moral sense considers 1. How the state of nature is a state of liberty where a natural sociability is described, independently of the creation of civil and political institutions; and in parallel, what are the conditions of a return to such a state, based on a moral and political education. 2. How civil society and government are created with trust, or in other words, with an artifice. 3. Finally, how the protection of inalienable rights can be guaranteed with the concept of political responsibility, involving risking one’s life in support of the common interest
A politica do senso moral considera assim : 1.

Full textThis research proposes to study the dimensions that compose the wellbeing at work from the worker perspective. It aims also to propose a measure scale of wellbeing at work specific to the French context. For this purpose, an analysis of the literature related to the concepts of wellbeing in general and wellbeing at work specifically is carried out. It allowed to identify the variables considered by researchers as antecedents or consequences of wellbeing at work. Also, an analysis of the measures of wellbeing at work proposed by academics and professionals in HR consulting is realized. It put forwards two main established measure scales of wellbeing at work, those of Dagenais-Desmarais (2010) and Bietry & Creusier (2013). This theoretical work is followed by an empirical study that consisted in a qualitative and a quantitative researches. The qualitative study, which is part of an exploratory approach, consisted of 29 individual interviews and 5 focus groups conducted within the same service company. This study brings out the representations of well-being at work among employees that are summarized in six main dimensions : (1) the role clarity, (2) the working environment, (3) the working atmosphere, (4) the recognition at work, (5) the corporate benevolence and (6) the professional fulfilment. The validity of content of the resulting conceptualizations of wellbeing at work is tested using the method of card-sorting. This exploratory approach, which allowed to propose a conceptual model that highlights the six dimensions of BET presented above, is followed by a quantitative study. This study consisted in the proposal and the testing of a measure scale of wellbeing at work. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis of the structure of the measure scale is done. Their results confirm the reliability of the considered six-dimensions of wellbeing at work. Also, the analysis of the reliability and the different aspects of validity - convergent, discriminant and nomological - of the scale using the method of structural equations modeling asserts the satisfying psychometric properties of the proposed scale of wellbeing at work. The results of the test of the scale are then discussed in regard to the literature background related to the considered dimensions. Their managerial implications are also presented, their limits as well as the opportunities of improvement presented and discussed

This route goes through a critique of the notion of information in Simondon to try to rethink "the soul of objects". It continues with an analysis of the question of the Flesh from Merleau-Ponty to propose the passage from a "digital suffering flesh" to an organology and a pharmacology of the digital gesture. Finally, it approaches what Bernard Stiegler called the technologies of the through the prism of Bergsonian intuition and Simondonian transduction to reintroduce analogical thought into the digital design of a dispositive benevolence, techno-estheú, cosmotechnic, ethical and political condiú)n for the development of the common good and of knowledge
