Abstract:

Significant contrasts between open-system indexing (often known as periodical indexing) and closed-system indexing (commonly called book indexing) are outlined in a narrative and detailed in a table. An examination of the coverage of the two systems in major indexing textbooks and standards reveals considerable confusion.

Abstract:

Abstract:
In this work, we study a particle creation mechanism at the expense of the energy stored in an extra dimension with the respective process of compactification, and hence the emergence of 4D space. The spacetime resulting can be the Friedmann–Robertson–Walker (FRW) type, but also can be the cosmological term plus cold dark matter (ΛCDM) type, depending on the model’s parameters. Concurrent with the compactification process we have also the homogenization process, since initially the spacetime is anisotropic.

Abstract:
We propose a physical model for neurons to describe how neurons interact with one another through the surrounding materials of neuronal cell bodies. We model the neuronal cell surroundings, include the dendrites, the axons and the synapses, as well as the surrounding glial cells, as a continuous distribution of oscillating modes inspired from the electric circuital picture of neuronal action potential. By analyzing the dynamics of this neuronal model by using the master equation approach of open quantum systems, we investigated the collective behavior of neurons. After applying stimulations to the neuronal system, the neuron collective state is activated and shows the action potential behavior. We find that this model can generate random neuron–neuron interactions and is appropriate for describing the process of information transmission in the neuronal system, which may pave a potential route toward understanding the dynamics of nervous system.

Abstract:
Budgeting is broadly used as a tool for organizational management. And this is a reason for continuous looking for budgeting essence. In the paper the systems approach is applied to investigating the nature of budgeting. The systemic aspect of an organization and the systems approach to management were taken into account. Budgeting is seen as the process of prediction and communication of systemic attributes of an organization. It seems that the results reached point to the systems approach as a basis for general theory of both budgeting and accounting.

This paper describes a new laser engraving system for automation. It is a different open system from traditional ones. The system excludes sealed machine housing so that it is convenient for automatic loading and unloading. This paper also discussed safety issues which came with the open housing structure. Abstract:
