Abstract:
In recent years with the increasingly world-wide introduction of the Internet, the use of online questionnaires has increased dramatically. However in Thailand, there has been only very limited systematic research on web-based design in Thailand, including for Thai undergraduates who are the biggest group of Thai internet users. The particular characteristics of the Thai language (e.g. no capital letters, no break between words, Thai script etc.) present some interesting challenges for online Thai surveys. This experimental study investigated web-based survey design principles based on an English language background trial at a Thai university with individual interviews and focus groups with the use of think aloud and other research techniques. The findings of two types of web usability tests revealed that the scrolling web-based format was the most suitable for conducting surveys and that such surveys are most likely to attract higher response rates when endorsed by a trusted organization, when instructions are short, simple and specific, when closed and dichotomous questions provide sufficient answer options and when matrix and semantic differential questions are limited. Research also indicates that the font, Ms Sans Serif of size

Abstract:
Abstract:
Radon, Katja. "Evaluation of an internet-based online-questionnaire administered to young adults." Thesis, McGill University, 2002. http://digitool.Library.McGill.CA:80/R/?func=dbin-jump-full&object_id=29467.

Abstract:
The objective of this thesis was to assess the acceptance of an online-questionnaire in a survey of young adults in southern Germany. The online-questionnaire was implemented in a study of respiratory diseases. Each of 280 subjects, aged 18 to 20 years, was assigned randomly to one of two groups who responded using (1) a paper-based questionnaire and (2) an otherwise identical questionnaire that was to be completed on the Internet. This group also received a copy of the printed questionnaire. Only eight subjects made use of the online-questionnaire, and the remainder of the respondents used the paper-based instrument. The major reason given for not using the online-questionnaire was that subjects considered it too time-consuming (39.7%). Additionally, 27.0% of the subjects did not have access to the Internet at home. In conclusion, the acceptance of an Internet-based questionnaire by adolescents with an Internet coverage of about 60% may still be low.

Abstract:
The goal of the study was to determine whether the Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ32i) yielded comparable results when two different modes of administration, namely paperand- pencil and Internet-based administration, were used in real-life, high-stakes selection settings. Two studies were conducted in which scores obtained online in unproctored settings were compared with scores obtained during proctored paper-and-pencil settings. The psychometric properties of the paper-and-pencil and Internet-based applications were strikingly similar. Structural equation modelling with EQS indicated substantial support for the hypothesis that covariance matrices of the paper-and-pencil and online applications in both studies were identical. It was concluded that relationships between the OPQ32i scales were not affected by mode of administration or supervision.

Abstract:
Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is an empirically supported cognitive behavioral therapy. The ACT model is designed around a set of six core processes utilized to increase psychological flexibility. Engagement with values, one of the six core processes, is associated with several indicators of well-being. However, recent reviews of ACT values measures from experts in the field raised concerns that current instruments do not adequately assess the values process. The current study examined the structure and psychometric properties of a new values measure, titled the Valued Living Questionnaire—Online version (VLQ-O), that was developed from considerations raised in these reviews. The results of an EFA indicated that the VLQ-O produced a three-factor structure comprised of Values Flexibility, Values Inflexibility, and Values Obligations. The Activity and Preferred Activity scores did not load consistently onto any discernable factor. The subscales of the VLQ-O produced poor internal consistency. The scores for Activity and Values Flexibility subscales correlated positively with measures of well-being and negatively with measures of psychological distress. Additionally, these subscales were significantly positively related to MPFI Flexibility and VQ Progress and well as negatively related to MPFI Inflexibility and VQ Obstruction. Values Inflexibility and Values Obligation correlated positively with measures of psychological distress and negatively with measures of well-being. The Values Obligation subscale did not correlate with social desirability. Multiple subscales of the VLQ-O demonstrated significant correlations with multiple subscales of the BFI. Additionally, the VLQ-O established predictive validity for measures of psychological distress and well-being. Further, it established improvements in predictive validity for flourishing and psychological distress when compared to the Valuing Questionnaire (VQ). Overall, the findings from this study provide some supportive preliminary evidence for the validity of the VLQ-O.

Deli, Fatma. "A Technostructure Proposal For Online Delivery Of Stps Graduate Program." Master's thesis, METU, 2003. http://etd.lib.metu.edu.tr/upload/12604926/index.pdf.

Full text
Abstract:
The purpose of this thesis is finding out whether offering an Online STPS Graduate Program with a tuition fee is feasible or not. Firstly, definition and brief history of distance education is given. Secondly, distance education applications in the world and in Turkey are studied. The main part of the thesis is the cost analysis made about the online delivery of STPS Graduate Program. The cost items of offering an online course are determined and then specific cost values are assigned to these items. By determining the cost items and related cost values, course development cost is calculated. In the course development cost calculation, fixed and variable costs are seperated. Fixed cost are the set-up costs that do not depend on any variable. Variable costs on the other hand are the costs that change with the number of students attending to the online course. A specific price value ( 100$ ) is assigned as the tuition fee for one credit hour of an online course. At the end of the cost analysis, the number of students required to meet the total cost of an online course is calculated. In addition, a questionnaire made on STPS students by STPS department is used in the thesis. The results of the questionnaire and the cost analysis are combined in order to analyze the feasibility of offering an online STPS Graduate Program.

Abstract:
Magister Commercii (Information Management) - MCom(IM)
Companies are putting in place systems that might assist in attaining their business goals and vision to improve the running of their business processes. Companies are looking at Business Intelligence (BI) as a means to attain a competitive edge over competitors, predict future trends, improve strategic decision making, facilitate quick and reliable decision making, or make the day-to-day running of business easier. The study looks at the perspective of middle to top management on the context of BI, with main focus on the technical capabilities of BI within medium to large companies in South Africa. To obtain factors relevant to the South African business context, an online survey was conducted with various sectors of South African industry. The study is part of research conducted collaboratively by the University of the Western Cape and Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences in Germany. It focuses on exploring usage of Business Intelligence Systems (BIS) together with Corporate Performance. Online surveys were conducted that targeted medium to large companies in Germany and South Africa by questioning middle to top management on issues surrounding BIS and Corporate Performance. On this basis online survey approach was taken to ensure required number of participants would be covered and approached. Therefore, the research adopted stratified sample method for the online survey. Stratified sampling enabled the expansion of the research by gathering and collaborating participants responses on the research question and eliminate the possibilities of unreliable sample from large population.

Abstract:
No mês seguinte as participantes preencheram o QSFA online.
A Semi-quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (QSFA), previously validated, was used to obtain the intake of energy, carbohydrates, proteins, fat and calcium, now to obtain the intake of iron and calcium online. Therefore, women between 19 and 59 years old, who participated from PRINUTHA (Integrated Project of Human Nutrition) at the CEPE-USP (USP´s Sport Practice Center) was selected to answer a 24 Hours Recall (RH24). At the next four months four more RH24´s was obtained per telephone ou e-mail. At the next month the participants full an online QSFA. This questionnaire was validated for iron and calcium, resulting in an energy adjusted correlation coefficient rc = 0,402 for iron and rc = 0,605 for calcium.

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between keeping a daily leisure-time physical activity record and adolescent (a) feelings of competence toward leisure-time physical activity, (b) motivational profiles toward leisure-time physical activity, and (c) leisure-time physical activity behaviors. Participants were 124 junior high and high school physical education (PE) students. Students completed the Behavioural Regulation in Exercise Questionnaire–2, the Godin Leisure–Time Exercise Questionnaire, the Perceived Competence Scale, and were assigned to keep an online leisure-time physical activity record for three weeks as part of their regular PE class. A 2 (gender) x 4 (trials) repeated measures ANCOVA was used to examine the relationships between recording compliance and the variables of perceived competence, motivation, and physical activity. Results showed a significant interaction between recording compliance and leisure-time physical activity. As students kept the leisure-time physical activity record, boys' leisure-time physical activity levels significantly increased and girls' leisure-time physical activity levels significantly decreased. Also, a significant interaction between recording compliance and introjected regulation was found. The more students recorded the less motivated they were by guilt and obligation to exercise in their leisure time. Lastly a significant interaction was found between recording compliance and intrinsic regulation, showing that the more students recorded the more intrinsically motivated they were to exercise in their leisure time. Implications and suggestions are set forth for PE professionals.

Zackrisson, Patrik. "Changing the Game : a Pre-Study to Marketing Planning in a Local Squash Club." Thesis, University of Gävle, Department of Business and Economic Studies, 2010. http://urn.kb.se/resolve?urn=urn:nbn:se:hig:diva-6796.

Full text
Abstract:

Aim:

The purpose was to perform a pre-study to marketing planning for a local squash club in Sweden that had difficulties with membership growth and development. This pre-study would provide the squash club with valuable information and a starting point when creating its first marketing plan.

Method:

The chosen research approach included theoretical and empirical studies. Empirical data was collected by triangulation, using both qualitative and quantitative methods. A semi-structured interview and two surveys using on-line questionnaires were conducted, analyzed and presented. The discussed theory including key definitions, models and concepts was related to the empirical data findings and reflected on.

Results & Conclusions:

A small non-profit squash club with scarce resources and slim organization has to implement a customer centered mindset and work smarter instead of harder. It is important for the club to carefully match market opportunities with its objectives and capabilities.Engaging in marketing planning and the development of a marketing plan will enable the club to find new creative ways to offer a unique squash experience that will result in a positive membership development.

Recommendations:

The squash club should strive to develop key strategic partnerships that can compliment its strengths and help reduce its weaknesses. An own club website would improve internal and external communication significantly and decrease the club management’s administrative workload. It would be advisable for the club to perform annual online customer satisfaction surveys to monitor and measure own performance and detect key changes in the marketplace.

Contribution:

This pre-study could be a good opportunity for the squash club’s management team to engage in marketing planning and develop its first marketing plan. Perhaps this study could also benefit other small sports clubs with similar challenges and give them ideas and new tools for future development, such as using on-line surveys.

Suggested future research:

It would be interesting to perform a comparison among the four racket sports: tennis, badminton, table-tennis and squash and the reasons behind young people choosing to play one sport over the others. The result would help racket clubs to better understand how they should position themselves in the market place to attract young people to their particular sport.

Full text
Abstract:
One objective of this study was methodological investigating the feasibility of conducting a Web-based survey with ecstasy users. The method developed for participants recruitment and data collection attained the propose proving feasible and fruitful, as well as showing great advantages as compared to personal data collecting. The second objective was to provide subsidies for future Harm Reduction interventions on the use of ecstasy. Participants (N=1.140) were mostly youngsters, with high schooling levels, and currently employed or studying, of A and B social-economic classes, and polydrug users. The data were analyzed using chi-square or t tests and categorical regression (CatReg). The latter evaluated users’ risk behaviors and related them to relevant independent variables. The results do not set the grounds for the drafting of specially-oriented preventive materials, be it for genders, sexual orientation, or even social-economic classes. They do, however, indicate privileged places for the distribution of preventive materials: evening entertainment places, parties and events related to electronic music, events such as community Parades, and universities. The main contents to be conveyed are discussed, always keeping the communication of scientifically proven information as the basic principle. The data also show that there is increasing availability of ecstasy in Brazil, thus pointing to the urgent need of implementing a first Brazilian ecstasy preventive program. The buy-in and the interested statements from participants demonstrate that the project inspired reliability, that there is a demand for interventions in the area and that a Harm Reduction proposal would be highly accepted amongst ecstasy users, although its implementation depends on the interest of authorities responsible for the Brazilian public policy towards illegal drugs.

Abstract:
The aim of the study was to replicate and validate the UEQ KPI introduced by Hinderks et al. (2019) in a context-only extension study by applying it to a product with high hedonic qualities, namely Netflix. The secondary research aim was to identify areas of improvement for Netflix’ user experience. An online survey was conducted with a positivist research philosophy and a deductive research approach in order to achieve the research aims. The chosen methodology proved to be appropriate and effective. The UEQ KPI was confirmed to be a valid methodology to evaluate products with high hedonic qualities. This study hence contributed to the validity of the UEQ KPI and to its generalisability. Certain areas of improvement and their perceived importance for Netflix’ UX were identified, listed from most to least promising: Efficiency, Stimulation and the Novelty. However, as the UEQ KPI is fairly new, more research on this topic is necessary to further validate it. Certainly, this topical development in UX research was proven to be a promising approach to assess the UX of products with different characteristics in a cheap, fast and accurate way.

Leijonklo, Lovisa.

Abstract:
The purpose of the case study is to research whether the brand Hollister can establish themselves to their target audience working with communication. To achieve the goal with the study, the following theories has been applied: brand building, visual communication, two-way symmetrical communication and communication channels. The study was conducted by a quantitative online questionnaire survey. The online survey was aimed at teenagers aged 15-18 years old living in Täby or Umeå where one question was "What difference can be discerned between Täby, where there is a shop, and Umeå where there is no shop". The material was collected during a period of eight days between december 11th to december 19th 2013. The online survey was answered by 90 units which means a response rate of 90 percent. The results of the study showed that it differed somewhat between the cities and above all it showed that the units from Täby had more knowledge about the brand's visual identity, and visited the store to a larger extent. The analysis also showed that branding is an important part to reach out and influence Hollister’s target audience where the work of visual communication is vital.

Online questionnaires are a common way of marketing. However, most online questionnaires just indirectly gatherinformation. This research aims at improving the lack of interactivity and inductiveness in suchtraditionalquestionnaires. With the use of Web 2.0 technology and inductiveness based onintegrating the pragmatic functions of questions, an inductive questionnaire is thus developed. Question design is based on the Cooperative Principle. Analyzing the forms of discourse used by Confucius, Mencius, Socrates, Zen masters, teachers, and salespeople, the pragmatic functions of questions, presuppositions, and question sequence are clarified, and then applied in this work. The resultsshow that the agenda and epistemic stance of presuppositions influence question sequence. Questions with a broad agenda can initiate a conversation, while questions with narrow onecan be placed at the end of conversation as a conclusion. Epistemic stance decides the degree of doubt. Questions with a stronger epistemic stance have a lower degree of doubt. Moreover, agenda and epistemic stance are interrelated. Questions with a strong epistemic stance also have narrow agenda. Such questions give fewer choices for addressees, and thus havemore imposition. Therefore, inductors with higher social status, such as Confucius and Zen masters, often use questions with a strong epistemic stance to give direct inductions. In the process of induction, the inductors often narrow the agenda as a hinting strategy, and gradually strengthen the epistemic stance to promotetheir ideas. Besides being information propagators like Confucius, Mencius, Socrates, Zen masters, and teachers, salespeople also need to make a bargain with customers. Thus, questions with different pragmatic functions should be integrated into consumer adoption process. In addition, the Politeness Principle is also used to reduce the imposition inherent in such forms of marketing. However, the inductiveness of questionnaire needs to be examined based on statistical data. Thus, based on the topic of a skin test, we compare the inductive questionnaire with atraditional online questionnairewith regard to the two main indexes of“awareness of skinproblems” and “acceptance ofproduct recommendations.” Both questionnaires show that greater “awareness of skinproblems” can effectively increase “acceptance ofproduct recommendations.” Moreover, the inductive questionnaire can more effectively raise“awareness of skin problems” than the traditional questionnaire, and the difference between them is significant. Except for females, the inductive and the traditional questionnaires have no significant differences with regard to“acceptance of product recommendations.” However, in the inductive questionnaire, females are more likely to accept product recommendations than males. People with skin care habits are also more likely to accept product recommendations than people without skin care habits. In addition, people living in urban areas are more likely to accept product recommendations than people living in rural areas. The results show that the inductive questionnaire can generally raise the“awareness of skin problems” and increase “acceptance of product recommendations” of specific groups which are more interested in the focal issue. These results can be referenced by future researchers and marketers who aim to develop inductive questionnaires.

With the upgrade of national income and standard of living, modern people don't understand most of the diet knowledge. Many researches show that the modern major diseases were caused by wrong diet. In fact, if we have the right diet concept, many diseases can be prevented. Chinese medicine nutrition has developed for a long history. It main goal is using foods to take care the health, prevent and treat diseases, promote organism recovery, postpone senile, and so on .The doctor must through asking the patient to understand the symptom, illness medical history, as well as the body physique, and to give the patient suitable healthy dietary ideas. Western medicine dietetics is based on the nutrients the body needs, then according to the nutritional content of foods, to estimates the amount of foods that the human body needs for one day, to achieve a balanced diet. However, in Taiwan the nutritional dietary consultation in Western and Chinese medicines is mostly independent operations. Most dieticians are lacking of complete Chinese medical nutritional dietary knowledge. At the same time, most Chinese physicians possess incomplete Western medicine nutritional dietary professional. Therefore, patients have often received the incompatible nutritional dietary suggestions come from the Western dieticians and Chinese physicians. How to provide the consistent nutritional dietary instructions becomes a very important and helpful task to physicians, dieticians, educator and patients. The goal of this research is using mobile technology to online collect Chinese medicine questionnaires, and apply the questionnaires to process the physical analysis and dietary guidelines. Combine the Chinese medicine questionnaire with the diagnosing and treating information can assist the Chinese medicine physicians and educators to carry on the diagnosing and treating as well as the health caring. Our system has some characteristics: (1) using nutritional dietary knowledge in Western and Chinese medicine to provide useful dietary suggestions, (2) facilitate the medical officer to collect and record the questionnaires.

Abstract:
Nowadays, the amount of data produced each day is extremely high. One of the major drivers of this continued and sharp growth is IoT devices. By 2025, the amount of data created globally every day is estimated to be around 463 Exabytes. This is equivalent to about 98,510,638 data DVDs per day, taking into account that each single-layer DVD is capable of storing 4.7 Gigabytes. With this huge amount of data, it is extremely important to analyze this data to make the systems increasingly user-oriented. With the combination of a large amount of data and the need for this to be analyzed and processed, the term Big Data was presented in the early 90s. This term was created to support data analysis and processing. The focus of this work is the specification, implementation and evaluation of a dashboard platform that integrates the ISABELA, 5GOpenclasses and BATINA applications, collecting and presenting IoT data. In addition, the dashboard allows you to provide tools capable of creating video classes in real time. In a more objective way, this application presents the IoT data that is being collected in the ISABELA, 5GOpenclasses and BATINA applications (and stored on the FIWARE and Prometheus platforms), which can be analyzed. Recommendations will be made to the students later. Regarding the data collected in the ISABELA application and 5GOpenclasses, these are captured through the Android mobile applications. Additionally, the sensors considered as sensors of the application “IoTUnifiedManagement”, are sensors present in ISABELA boxes. Since these boxes collect data in classrooms and this information is important for both applications (ISABELA and 5GOpenclasses), these will be considered sensors of the platform. Finally, the “IoTUnifiedManagement” application has features with the ability to record and transmit video in real time for the preparation of video classes. These features are dedicated to the 5GOpenclasses application and are supported by an internal server that runs the open-source software WebRTC Kurento. These video classes can be viewed through the Android mobile application.

The thesis deals with an evaluation of Faculty of Agriculture at University of South Bohemia (FA) website, and FA and Agribusiness study programme Facebook sites. In the process of evaluation, I used the method of a questionnaire. Questions related to the graphics, clarity and up-to-dateness were included in the survey. The answers were statistically evaluated by Google forms and suggestions how to improve the websites were laid on their basis. The answers show the fact that nearly a half of the respondents is not satisfied with those websites so some changes should be implemented. I have suggested the change of the heading and the homepage. The answers related to FA Facebook site were mostly positive so there´s no need for a change. The last site that was evaluated was the Facebook site of Agribusiness study programme. Regarding this part of the survey, the aim was not to analyze their visual aspect and content but rather to find out about general awareness of its existence which was proved to be below the average. According to the respondents, their visual aspect and content is alright so there was no need to suggest any changes.

Background Overwork is a prevalent phenomenon in East-Asian countries. Overwork or work stress induced diseases become important occupational health issue. In Taiwan, overwork related problems increased and aroused public attention. Government referred to Japan’s policy experience, promulgated “work-induced cerebro-cardiovascular disease recognition guideline” and “work stress related mental illness recognition guideline” in 1991 and 2008. However, it remained controversial in the recognition and low compensation rate of the above two diseases were noted in Taiwan. Physicians’ play gatekeepers role in occupational diseases. It is worth investigating the attitudes and causal beliefs toward overwork diseases among Taiwanese physicians, and further discussion about factors which might impact on physicians’ recognition. Methods An online questionnaire survey was conducted by using two vignettes to explore the causal beliefs and recognition. Physicians’ sociodemographic and work characteristics were collected. The association between the above characteristics and recognition as work-related diseases was examined. Physicians’ self-rated health condition, burnout scale, and opinion about effective methods to prevent overwork problem were also examined. Results A total of 163 physicians participated in this research. Over than 90% of physicians agreed that “working too long” or “bully at workplace” are possible causes of cerebrovascular disease(CVD) and major depressive disorder(MDD). More diverse etiology was shown in MDD. 48.5% participants recognized CVD as overwork-related disease, and 35% of physicians recognized MDD as overwork-related disease. No demographic factors, including age, sex, management position, occupational training were significantly related to recognition of CVD. However, occupational training decreased the recognition of MDD (OR=0.39, p=0.023) while high burnout level increased the recognition of MDD (OR=1.019, p=0.044). Most physicians agreed with that overwork condition is severe in Taiwan’s physicians. Raising up physicians’ salary is the most effective method to improve physicians’ overwork problems while “ask workers to receive regular health check-up” and “receive mental consultation” were most effective ways to improve workers’ overwork CVD and MDD. Conclusion MDD is a more multi-etiology disease than CVD which may increase physicians’ difficulty in recognition of overwork diseases. In order to reduce physicians’ obstacles in recognition, some revision of the guideline should be done. Related specialty training may also impact on physicians’ recognition. Raise up income, receive health check-up or consultation, reduce working hours, and amend labor protection law may help in overwork diseases.

This study aimed to examine how internet users assess online information credibility first by a qualitative inquiry and then by an empirical survey. In the former stage, twenty graduate students were first interviewed and then three dimensions were constructed based on their responses to analyze how they assess the online information credibility. These three dimensions are (1) the user’s strategy, (2) the information quality, and (3) the conception of internet. In the first dimension, the user’s strategy, we found the participants used two different strategies, the individual and collective ones, to assess online information credibility. While the participants who used the individual strategy considered online information to be credible only when the information was searched or verified by the participants themselves, the participants who used collective strategy considered the online information to be credible only when the information was provided or verified by other internet users. However, some participants might use both strategies at the same time. In the second dimension, the information quality, the participants might emphasize two different qualities of the information, the nature and the outgrowth of information. The nature of information refers to the attributes accompanying with the information, such as the author and the publishing date of the information. In contrast, the outgrowth of information is defined as the resultant information generated by other readers, such as others’ responses, suggestions and experimental tests of the original information. In the third dimension, the conception of internet, participants held two different conceptions of internet, Web 1.0 and Web 2.0. The participants who possessed Web 1.0 conception thought that online information can only be passively searched and read, but cannot be provided by internet users. On the contrary, the participants who possessed Web 2.0 conception believed that internet users can provide as well as edit online information. In the latter stage, a questionnaire developed from the results of the qualitative inquiry was administrated to 388 students, including undergraduate and graduate ones. Results from factor analysis indicated that the questionnaire included six categories: (1) the individual strategy, (2) the collective strategy, (3) the nature of information, (4) the outgrowth of information, (5) the Web 1.0 conception, and (6) the Web 2.0 conception. Results also showed that online information credibility assessment significantly related to the respondents’ educational levels, their majors, and the amount of time they used the internet per week. However, there was no difference in online information credibility assessment between female and male students.

Following the development of information technology, we are in the information period. Many thing can do through computer and public sourcing become more popular. But internet work have quality problem and not easy to control. So we want to solve this problem with gamification. Recently, gamification is a hot topic. Many enterprise and academia use this concept to make their work more interesting and elevate the learning effect of their course. On the internet and lots of books can see many data about gamification which show gamification have good effect on a lot of things. But is that true? Everything use gamification can get the effect? The concept should be prove. So we want to add game factors on public sourcing work to prove that if gamification can elevate work quality or not. After thinking, we choose online questionnaire to be the tool which we will add gamification. Our research purpose is adding game factors in online questionnaire to make it gamification and prove the effect of gamification if it will influence workers’ attitude, behavior intention and work quality or not. We use experiment method and the experiment adopt 2*3 random group to prove the difference between have gamification or not and have reward or not. The result show that (1) Reward doesn’t effect work quality. (2) Different game factors have different effect on work quality. (3) Reward combine game factors have effect on extra disbursement which is the item in the work quality. (4) Work quality and topic involvement have effect on behavior intention.

Abstract:
This thesis deals with an issue of how can graphical modifications of response options in online questionnaire influence the respondents' answers. Online questionnaire as a data collection method offers a wide range of visual adjustments. Therefore, it is necessary for the graphical format to be treated with caution, because it can produce significant differences in respondents' answers. The goal of this thesis is to find out, with the help of two versions of online questionnaire that differ in the graphical format of response options, whether and what differences in answers these modifications produce. The attention is also payed to the response time differences. Together there are eleven modifications tested, each of them is represented twice. The analysis shows that the differences in graphical format of response options do influence the answers; there were 7 of 11 hypotheses confirmed. One of the surprising findings is that in the case of comparing the format of check boxes and the format of writing answers into text boxes, respondents answered with a maximum number of allowed answers in both version. This type of result was not expected in the case of the "writing into text boxes" format. Other findings show that some modifications influence more women than men, for example the use of a...

Abstract:
This work titled Advertising impact of influencers as perceived by the young online users defines the term influencer in its theoretical part, offering several perspectives through which this phenomen can be viewed. For example, the number of followers on influencers' profiles, the interaction between these two sides, or the characteristic features of influential figures, such as their behaviour on the Internet. Furthermore, this work deals with influencer marketing, some types of collaboration between influencers and companies within social media, and the issue of tagging the sponsored commercial content. Also, one of the chapters summarizes some of the findings from several relevant studies, creating an initial insight into the topic. The research part of this work explores the issue as perceived by the young online users, using the research sample comprising 179 respondents in the range of 16-26 years old. The data collected through the electronic standardized questionnaire revealed, for example, that respondents require tagging sponsored posts on influencers' profiles, even though they trust these commercial posts less. Also, the pattern of behaviour hinting some verifying information before immediate tasting influencers' recommendations was indicated. The analyzed answers also point to the...

Due to demographic changes and increasing user expectations, the European healthcare systems are not able to serve the population’s future needs, so innovative technology-based solutions must be taken into consideration. However, the efficacy of every technical solution depends on the end-user; therefore, it is key to understand the patients’ digital preferences. For this reason, the objective of this study is to investigate the mindset determining technology acceptance. Distinctive contextual factors reflected in a range of health scenarios as well as a variety of patient characteristics were included in the analysis. The impact of perceived usefulness and incentives in form of information and financial rewards were tested.

The dissertation deals with the experimental research that examines the effectiveness of the ESP e-learning course of Business English in comparison with the method of face-to-face instruction. The literature review has revealed the absence of scientific research in the field of our investigation. It has justified why our proposed research study should be conducted and led us to the rationale for our research. The main objective of this dissertation was to find out whether the e-learning method was as effective as the face-to-face instruction, i.e., whether there were no statistically significant differences between the results of the students who completed the e-learning course (experimental group) and those who completed the face-to-face course (control group). Simultaneously, we examined whether there were any statistically significant differences in the results of the students at the beginning of the course and at the end of the course within individual groups, i.e., whether the students improved their skills and vocabulary. The supplementary objective was to find out the students' opinions on the effectiveness of e- learning depending on the frequencies of their responses and on their qualitative signs. Abstract:
Summary and key words in German and English
Every church faces the challenge of procuring capable workers for the multifaceted task of ministry. For several decades now official denominational statements and the discipline of Practical Theology have been calling for a new understanding of giftedness in ecclesial service. As yet little fundamental research has been done in this area. This dissertation seeks to make a contribution both empirically and theologically. It marks the first time in the German–speaking world of Practical Theology that the issue of how one discovers charisms is addressed academically. The specific field of research is located in the Protestant Regional Church of Baden in southwest Germany. Nevertheless the findings can be applied more broadly since the research is based on thorough exegetical and systematic–theological analysis and has been verified empirically. There has been a quest for the charisms of the Spirit since the beginning of the twentieth century and even more so now in the face of the societal challenges of postmodernity. In the discussion of the different theological positionens arise as result that charisms have to be seen with an triune approach. In addtion, besindes the fact that charisms have a habitual meaning, they first of all have a relational dimension. The empirical research involved online–interviewings of pastors, plus interviews of church members. One of the major findings was that the views of pastors on how church members receive gifts is determined by their theological understanding of the charisms. Pastors discover gifts, not according to Pauline criteria, but largely according to emotional aspects, as proved by this research. It became apparent that protestant pastors are of the opinion that New Testament charisms are not first received at baptism, but already at birth. Another interesting finding is that members of both protestant main stream churches and pentacostal-charismatic churches hold the same believes about how to receive charisms. The only difference is their repertoire of gifts. This dissertation focuses on developing guidelines for the discovery of charisms within the congregation as the local body of the Church.
