Abstract:
Focusing on the dual-channel supply chain with live broadcasts selling, this paper investigates the service overflow of live broadcasts with Stackelberg game perspective and the impact of retailers’ different market potentials on the pricing decisions of dual-channel members. Meanwhile, it also evaluates the pricing strategy of online retailers after introducing KOL (Key Opinion Leader) live broadcasts. The results show that when one of the dual-channel retailers adopts live broadcast sales, the live broadcast service overflow will have an adverse impact on it, but the degree of the impact depends on the market potential of supply chain members, and different power structures can be used to offset the adverse impact of live broadcast service overflow. Then, the live broadcast sales service overflow will have a certain beneficial impact on online retailers under certain circumstances. Furthermore, with the increase of live broadcast sales service overflow, the retail prices of both companies will decline, while the live broadcast sales service overflow is more beneficial for consumers.

Abstract:
Recently, there has been a notable rise in binge drinking and in the popularity of eating broadcasts via TV and online platforms, especially in Korea. This study analyzed the moderating effect of the eating broadcast viewing experience on the relationship between binge drinking and obesity-related eating behaviors. Cross-sectional self-reported online survey data were collected from 1125 Korean adults. Moderation models for restrained, emotional, and external eating behaviors were tested using moderation analyses with Hayes’s PROCESS version 3.5 compatible with SPSS. As a result, the eating broadcast viewing experience moderated the relationship between binge drinking frequency and external eating (Fchange = 2.686, p = 0.045). More frequent binge drinking was associated with a higher level of external eating in participants who only watched online eating broadcasts, especially among women. Participants in their twenties showed the same above association; additionally, those who only watched TV eating broadcasts showed an inverse association, indicating that more frequent binge drinking was associated with a lower level of external eating. Consequently, an eating broadcast viewing experience was one of the environmental factors associated with binge drinking that influences obesity-related eating behaviors.

Abstract:
The main aim of the paper is to discuss the scale and nature of the practice of transmitting Holy Mass by parishes of the Roman Catholic Church in Poland through online live-streaming in spring 2020. The authors analyse these issues in a multifaceted and interdisciplinary way, mainly within the framework of communication and media studies and theology. The methodology of the paper combines practical theology (its four stages: “see-judge-act-review”), scientific methods applicable to social studies (especially social communication and media studies and sociological studies), and the technical aspect of communication activities (in the form of live video streaming) performed by parishes on the Internet. As it turns out, 40.8% of Polish parishes carried out online Mass broadcasts. In most cases, the main sources of broadcast signal were YouTube (18.9%) and Facebook (18.7%), while less than 5% of the parishes conducted technically independent broadcasts. The research showed a statistically significant correlation between online Mass broadcasting and the region of Poland. There was a statistically significant difference between the parish size and Mass broadcasting—the larger the parish, the more often such activities were performed; a similar correlation was observed between urban and rural parishes. Research has shown that in the dioceses where bishops directly encouraged parish priests to broadcast from their parishes, the average percentage of broadcasts was higher (46%) than in those in which there were no such incentives (38%). There was a statistically significant relationship between having a website and conducting online Mass broadcasting. Similarly, there was a statistically significant relationship between the type of parish (conventual–diocesan) and online Mass broadcasting. Conventual parishes did this much more often than diocesan ones (68.6% and 38.9% respectively).

Abstract:
Convergence is a deep integration of knowledge, tools, and all relevant areas of human activities. As an inevitable condition, convergence has also changed a lot of aspects of mass media at the international, national, and local levels. This study elaborates how the local radios in Cirebon, namely Sindangkasih FM, Suara Gratia FM, and Cirebon Radio, are adapting to the convergence culture. This study seeks to demonstrate how the convergence culture can affect private broadcast media, which are not in the epicentrum of media in Indonesia. This study indicates that these three private radios in Cirebon have tried to adapt to the convergence culture in minimally three aspects, namely structural, information coverage, and news presentation or storytelling convergence. The structural convergence happened at the organizational structure of the radio, in which more direct and fluid coordination in the newsgathering and writing processes is applied. At the news coverage level, reporters and scriptwriters are responsible for managing news content for old radio broadcasts and new online media as well. At the news presentation level, the news is not only broadcasted but also reported on new online channels, such as websites and social media. These convergences have further created a more convergent newsroom, including integrating journalism workflows, applying multiskilled journalism and resource sharing, using various technological tools, creating interactivity with the audience, and expanding the audience reach. Abstract:
This research concerns the impact of the live broadcast application use in online learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This study aims to determine the impact of the live broadcast application in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The problem essence in this study is the processes, constraints, and variations in applying the live broadcast application to online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study applied a qualitative study type. The participants in this study were students of the Indonesian Language and Literature department in the Faculty of Languages and Literature, Universitas Negeri Makassar, Indonesia, in 2019-2020. This study found that the learning media used in the teaching and learning process for a regular meeting during the Covid-19 pandemic as live broadcast application were Zoom, Google Meet, and Streamyard. However, students also experienced that some lecturers only used live broadcast for online examination regarding evaluating the students’ assignment progress submitted to Google Classroom. Students also reported that lecturers use live broadcast applications to teach and other applications, such as Google Classroom and LMS. This study also found out the constraints experienced by students regarding the learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study revealed that the students experienced some constraints in the learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic, such as a large amount of data or quotas in use, the inadequate time provided by media of live broadcast, which is up to about forty minutes. Also, unsupportive signals always make weak audio sounds and sometimes close the application, making it difficult for students to comprehend the materials. Therefore, this study recommends that the lecturers maximize the teaching and learning process to anticipate time, place, and internet data packages as students’ constraints by recording the live broadcast in the form of YouTube live streaming.

Abstract:
With the rapid development of Internet technology, live broadcast industry has also flourished. However, in the public network live broadcast platform, live broadcast security issues have become increasingly prominent. The detection of suspected pornographic videos in live broadcast platforms is still in the manual detection stage, that is, through the supervision of administrators and user reports. At present, there are many online live broadcast platforms in China. In mainstream live streaming platforms, the number of live broadcasters at the same time can reach more than 100,000 people/times. Only through manual detection, there are a series of problems such as low efficiency, poor pertinence, and slow progress. This approach is obviously not up to the task requirements of real-time network supervision. For the identification of whether live broadcasts on the Internet contain pornographic content, a deep neural network model based on residual networks (ResNet-50) is proposed to detect pictures and videos in live broadcast platforms. The core idea of detection is to classify each image in the video into two categories: (1) pass and (2) violation. The experiments verify that the network proposed can heighten the efficiency of pornographic detection in webcasts. The detection method proposed in this article can improve the accuracy of detection on the one hand and can standardize the detection indicators in the detection process on the other. These detection indicators have a certain promotion effect on the classification of pornographic videos.

Abstract:
Western mass media is considered unfair and subjective in delivering news. Instead previous studies show that those western mass media have unfairly broadcasted news related Muslim people, limited studies have been carried out to show how those media broadcast the news and who control those media. This study, therefore, tries to understand how western media broadcast news related Muslim people and who control those media. This study employed content analysis in which the data was gathered from online sources and scholar journals. The findings show that western media use some strategies in broadcasting news such as making early claims during broadcasting, present false report and negative image, and use unproper language. The conclusion is that unfair news broadcasting related Muslim countries could be happened due to Jews domination in western mass media ownership and management. The limitation of this studi is that the data was merely gathered from online sources. Future research need to be carried out within broader context by involving journalists and communities.

Abstract:
Using an online survey ( N = 528), this study examines the impact of race/ethnicity and gender on the perceived objectivity of broadcasters who are women of color. Findings show that when the broadcaster is a woman of color, Twitter engagement does not necessarily lead to positive perceived objectivity. Most respondents (52.6%) following broadcasters on Twitter agreed that broadcast women of color were more biased than other broadcasters they follow on Twitter, with men being more likely to agree than others. In addition to perceived objectivity, 38.7% of respondents either agree or strongly agree that the race/ethnicity of the journalist impacts their objectivity. Of the respondents who follow broadcast women of color on Twitter, 57.4% either agree or strongly agree that they share too many opinions. Practical and theoretical implications are discussed.

Abstract:
We analyze the differences between on-premise broadcast and cloud-based online video delivery workflows and identify technologies needed for bridging the gaps between them. Specifically, we note differences in ingest protocols, media formats, signal-processing chains, codec constraints, metadata, transport formats, delays, and means for implementing operations such as ad-splicing, redundancy and synchronization. To bridge the gaps, we suggest specific improvements in cloud ingest, signal processing, and transcoding stacks. Cloud playout is also identified as critically needed technology for convergence. Finally, based on all such considerations, we offer sketches of several possible hybrid architectures, with different degrees of offloading of processing in cloud, that are likely to emerge in the future.

Abstract:
Online delivery of rehabilitation counseling can make services more widely available, but more information is needed about specific features before it can be considered a viable approach. Video conferencing with broadcast of counselor and client image is one recommended tool with some evidence that client rating of session depth may be equivalent to face-to-face sessions but at a cost of increased client discomfort. In this study, the counselor's image was broadcast to 24 participants in online test interpretation sessions Broadcast of participant image to the counselor was contingent on random assignment. The Session Evaluation Questionnaire completed by participants at the end of the session showed no significant impact on ratings of session of depth between camera-on and camera-off conditions. Session smoothness/comfort ratings, however, were significantly higher when the participant image was not broadcast to the counselor. Implications for rehabilitation counseling are discussed.

The way we use video streaming is evolving. Users used to broadcast their videos on social media platforms. These platforms enable them to interact from anywhere they want. Recently, there has been a wide range of people who use live video streaming platforms regularly. Thanks to high-speed Internet connections, live video streaming is now easier than ever. Many of these platforms broadcast live video feeds of electronic games, so young streamers use them to make money. Live streaming refers to media that is simultaneously broadcasted and recorded online in real-time. Despite the growing popularity of these platforms, there is a risk that this technology will be abused. Several other recorded cases of abuse have resulted in the emerging popularity of live streaming platforms. Many criminal and public proceedings may rely on information linked to a normal Web user's Online activity. Examining the web browser's history or cache may reveal helpful information about the suspect's activities. The evidence can reveal keys that might lead to this individual being convicted or clear. This work continues what was previously done to reconstruct cached video streams from YouTube and Twitter on Firefox. Our main aim in this paper is to examine data from a cached live stream using YouTube Gaming/Live and Nimo TV on Firefox and Chromium browsers.

Abstract:
The radio as a vehicle of mass communication has undergone many changes over the years through the development of informatics and cybernetics. The process of digitization suffered by conventional broadcasters and the availability of its content on the Internet, produced the latest step in the recent history of media - the Web Radio. In turn, the education has been used in the new technological resources to produce educational programs multidisciplinary in several areas of knowledge and in different parts of the world. Therefore, the present educational-communicative paradigm requires a new way of thought about the pedagogic models and new intervention strategies in society, which are able to respond to contemporary educational and intervenient processes. In this sense, the radio has been a great ally for Education for over one hundred and fifty years, taking the information and knowledge to the most inhospitable places. Nowadays, with a web format, the radio makes available, in virtual space, an ample group of technological interfaces with an alternative and complementary environment of teaching-learning. Appears, therefore, learning through the Internet radio, providing the virtual space and a set of interfaces for technology that teachers can disseminate their scientific work, suggest readings, stimulate debate on issues related to discipline (forums discussion), information notes, reviews, interviews with local experts and invited, promotion of academic events (congresses, seminars, lectures, conferences or meetings), lessons in podcast, beyond the possibility of synchronous communication with the network, through email, blog, facebook, forum, messenger, chat, myspace, twitter and others. In this communication, we will make a reflection about the web radio, showing its present panorama as an educational-communicative media and highlighting the case study of the Rádio Universitária do Minho (RUM).

Abstract:
Aiming at the shortcomings of traditional broadcast transmitter noise test methods, such as low efficiency, inconvenient data storage, and high requirements for testers, a dynamic online test method for transmitter noise is proposed. The principle of system composition and test method is given. The transmitter noise is real-time changing. The Voice Active Detection (VAD) noise estimation algorithm cannot track the transmitter noise change in real time. This paper proposes a combined noise estimation algorithm for VAD and dynamic estimation. By setting the threshold of the double-threshold VAD detection to be low, it can accurately detect the silent segment. The silent segment is used as a noise signal for noise estimation. For the nonsilent segment detected by the VAD, a minimum value search dynamic spectrum estimation algorithm based on the existence probability of the speech (IMCRA) is used for noise estimation. Transmitter noise is measured by calculating the noise figure (NF).The test method collects the input and output data of the transmitter in real time, which has better accuracy and real-time performance, and the feasibility of the method is verified by experimental simulation.

Abstract:
With the in-depth development of online learning, especially the large-scale popularization of online learning during the COVID-19 prevention period in 2020, some problems have gradually emerged in the online learning process: students' learning motivation is reduced, and some students have a sense of loneliness and burnout, which leads to the unsustainable learning process. Based on the pre survey of teachers and related literature analysis, this study preliminarily divides the factors affecting students' online learning into four aspects: teacher teaching, autonomous learning, teacher-student interaction, and learning effect. A student oriented questionnaire is designed to investigate the online learning environment and students' learning behavior, and then teachers are interviewed to determine the key factors affecting the quality of current online learning: excessive online live broadcast platforms, insufficient management of learning process, lack of teaching design of some teachers, lack of supervision and feedback in the autonomous learning process, insufficient interaction of learning process, etc. Based on the above survey conclusions and the teaching practice experience of the team, this paper puts forward some suggestions, such as unifying the live broadcast platform and improving its performance and function, enhancing the process management of online learning, improving teachers' online teaching literacy, and teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, in order to provide ideas and reference for online learning designers.

AbstractBy operationalising Pierre Bourdieu’s concepts of field, capital and positions of autonomy and heteronomy, and applying a Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to data gathered from a large content analysis, the article explores the relations between online newspapers and their corresponding print or broadcast versions within a constructed Danish “field of news” by graphically presenting the data as maps of the changes in these relations. First, mapping transformations graphically shows that the online newspapers have gained autonomy from their “parent platforms”, but we see that in the same period they have increased their dependence on news agency stories. Furthermore, the mapping demonstrates how the online newspapers differ in terms of news productions strategies and in their relation to their parent platforms, meaning they take up different positions in the field according to their “strength” based on a number of indicators.

Abstract:
Relevance. Online broadcasting and video recording of classes as a method of organizing e-learning and transferring knowledge using distance learning technologies today are of increasing interest to students and lecturers. However, most researchers distinguish the high labor intensity and the presence of additional skills on the part of the lecturer as a prerequisite for the implementation of a successful video lecture. At the same time, lecturers continue to conduct traditional classes in the “pre-pandemic” mode and the placement of additional material in the electronic information-educational environment (EIEE) for students on an individual schedule continues. Often, for remote participants in the educational process, an individual educational trajectory of learning is developed and the load on the lecturer increases, who is forced to use different methods and forms of education to ensure equal educational opportunities for all students. As an alternative for optimization, the authors propose the introduction of online broadcasting of classes as the most effective method and form of online learning. The purpose of the study is to develop a balanced model for the use of online broadcasting and video recording of classes in the organization of e-learning with the possibility of fixing the progress of the educational process and controlling knowledge.Materials and methods. Using a keyword search in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) system, the authors found that researchers do not use the concept of “Online broadcasting of classes”. However, the analysis of publication activity in the RSCI system for 2017-2021 showed a positive trend in the use of the terms “Online lesson”, “Synchronous learning”, which are the closest in meaning to the concept of “Online broadcast of classes”. The publication proposes criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the use of online broadcasting of classes in the organization of training at a university. As an example of the implementation of a solution for organizing online broadcasting, recording classes, the system “Information Resource Center” used in the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism was described and compared with the proposed performance criteria.Results. As a result of the analysis, it was found that this type of systems (online broadcast systems) do not provide for the possibility of fixing the assimilation of the material and do not allow to fully fix the progress of the educational process and control knowledge when organizing e-learning.Conclusions. The authors propose the integration of online broadcast systems with the e-learning system as a working model for the use of online broadcast and video recording of classes in the organization of e-learning, which will satisfy all the criteria established in the study. The model designed in the course of the study is universal and can be used applying any methodological techniques, including the use of the “flipped class” model, when material for preliminary acquaintance is placed in advance of the lesson, and it is analyzed during the lesson itself.

Abstract Brazilians watching the US National Football League (NFL) interact on social media during the broadcast of league games. Since fan consumption practices can establish identities from the intensity of involvement with media products, this research aims to analyze how Brazilian NFL fans constitute cultural identities in their interactions on social media during the broadcast of league games. We use netnography, a method commonly used in studies that seek to understand cultural phenomena that occur through online interactions. The research corpus was formed by messages posted by fans on Twitter hashtags created by the ESPN channels of Brazil, during the games broadcasted in the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 seasons. The results indicate three identity categories: nationalism, as a way of projecting an idealized image of a nation; localism, as a demarcation of tensions of the differences existing in the country; and social minorities related to gender and sexual orientation, revealing tensions and conformities in the social construction of these positions. By revealing identities strongly related to the notion of place and different representations of the hetero-masculine, these findings are evidenced as a particular version of the central values of the sport itself in its country of origin.

Abstract:
This paper examines a five-year initiative by the UK's public service broadcaster, the BBC, to reinvigorate civic engagement at a time of declining public participation in politics. The Action Network project, originally called iCan, ran from 2003 to 2008 and was one of the most high profile and ambitious attempts by a public service broadcaster to foster eParticipation through an online civic commons. This study analyzes Action Network within the context of conceptualizations of the Internet as a networked, distributed and participatory environment and the shift towards what scholars describe as a networked public sphere. It suggests that the project did not have the impact anticipated as it was borne out of a paternalistic broadcast legacy, out of step with the trend towards distributed and collaborative discourse online that reassesses the notion that the public is simply a resource to be managed. This paper argues that the BBC experience provides lessons in how the media, and specifically public service broadcasters, can contribute towards greater political participation and democratic dialogue through the Internet by adopting Web 2.0 approaches that enable citizens to engage on different levels and at different times, depending on contexts.
